Gem seemed very excited about this whole thing, cheering their father on for the fight, it was quite a nice scene so Dylas decided to join in. " You two can win, push past your mental blocks. Embrace your power." It was more advice but it at least sent some confidence they could win. Embrace your power huh? Yeah that was right. Alpha was way too caught up in thinking about the fact that this form was Beta's, he was wrong. Despite the fact it was similar this was still him, this was his form and his power. A power he needed to embrace. " Heh, thanks Dylas." Alpha closed his eyes for a moment, the fireballs came and he made no motion to dodge them, always so afraid of getting hurt in his old form, this new power though. Did it have something like Beta's ability. The Fireballs hit and Alpha noticed the pain but it was far less then it would've been had Beta not reflected them, though one thing to note was the white aura around Alpha's body, it had started growing more harsh and intense after getting hit. " Alright then, lets see what we got." Though for once Alpha wasn't the one getting attacked, instead Beta was the target this time. " Beta, Take over!" Alpha called out as a small light seemed to emit from the two of them at the same time. Beta nodded and leaped into the sky to avoid the attack, the orange flavored blast barely hitting her legs as she leapt high into the air above Shoutmon and started falling. Raising her claws up she slashed the air creating a projectile that flew into a portal, while it seemed like she was helpless in the air for a few moment eventually Beta flew through a portal herself. For a moment everything was still, before one portal appeared right next to Shoutmon with the projectile. The other portal didn't seem to appear around Shoutmon for a while, instead it opened right next to Adrian, Beta would blast past the human grabbing his digivice as she flew by him. " Hope you don't mind if I borrow this, those cards are annoying!" Beta called as she flew by at an incredible speed back into the battlefield.

"You stink at cheering," Gem bluntly told the Wizardmon next to him before he went back to cheering on his papa. "Whoooo! Go Dad! Go! Don't let them get the best of ya! Show them who's the best!" The way he shifted between criticizing Dylas and cheering for his father was impressive in and of itself.
At least the fireballs found its target eventually, hitting Alpha in the process, though he seemed to just be taking them more than anything. Adrian took note of the white glow around Alpha that got more and more intense as he got hit. Adrian spoke into his Digivice, using the private Human-Digimon comm. "Do you see that, Shoutmon?"
"Hard to miss the living night light in front of me," SuperShoutmon quietly responded. "It got stronger with each fireball that hit. Gotta learn the hard way what it actually does, it seems."
Then all of a sudden SuperShoutmon's attacked changed targets, aiming for Beta who just simply jumped over it. "Put your heart and soul into an attack only for it to go unappreciated in the end," SuperShoutmon quipped. The red dragon watched closely at Beta as she leaped into the sky, knowing of her ability to open sudden portals. She fired a projectile that flew into a portal before she herself fell into the portal as well.
A surprise attack, maybe?
SuperShoutmon held his ground, closing his eyes and just purely listening for the sounds. He could hear a portal open up next to him. His eyes opened up before he backflipped out of the way, the slash projectile grazing the bottom of his foot in the process. Now for the next portal, which didn't seem to open up beside him. Now, a Shoutmon of the past would've just continued to assume it would open by him. But this Shoutmon was wiser than he used to be, and a split-second horrible thought appeared in his mind. OH, HELL NO!
Sure enough, a portal opened up right next to Adrian, attempting to take his Digivice. This didn't work for two reasons. One, because Adrian's Digivice was well-secured in the Digivice cradle on his left wrist, so it was relatively easy for him to instinctively move to the side and cause Beta to overshoot. Secondly, because SuperShoutmon focused his attention on Beta and spit out a stream of fire that would lock onto her as she re-entered the battlefield.
"Let's get one thing straight here," SuperShoutmon said to Beta, "What you just did... I assume you were aiming for his Digivice, which is a smart move. However, don't do it again. There was a huge chance you could've hurt him, so be careful next time, okay?" He would then look back at his partner. "Adrian? V-Saber time."
After he recovered and got up, Adrian nodded before pulling out and slashing that very card. "Digi-Modify! V-Saber Activate!"
And just like that, two familiar looking wrist gauntlets would appear on SuperShoutmon's own wrists, each one shooting out an energy blade similar to Ulforceveedramon's signature blade. "Why don't we get up close and personal, Beta?" SuperShoutmon suggested before he slashed at Beta with the blades. Adrian activates "V-Saber" on SuperShoutmon.
SuperShoutmon is grazed by "Pocket Beam" before he targets Beta with "Fire Stream" and an attack from "V-Saber."
Moves Fire Stream: SuperShoutmon breathes out a stream of fire that can lock on to a single opponent. Cooldown is two posts.

Beta missed, darn she'd get it next time. Though as she entered back into the battlefield she couldn't really avoid the hit. Blasting through it with the best of her abilities, pain tolerance on full display as she pushed through the attack landing on the otherside, dusting herself off. Just to have Shoutmon come over to her angry. Which made Beta confused. " You guys were using those card things though, really annoying to deal with. But I see what you mean I guess." Didn't really seem fair to her, this was a sparring match between them and Shoutmon, throwing cards felt like something you do against like actual threats. " It was a good move Beta, just probably not against people we don't really want to hurt." Alpha advised, mostly just to stay on their good side. After all didn't hurt to have some digimon willing to look out for you... Even if right now they were trying to uhh, hurt him. That was besides the point though. " Focus on the foe in front of you Beta, doesn't matter if he has those tricks or not. Overcome them, not every fight you go up against is going to be fair after all." Though judging by the tone of his voice he wasn't implying this match wasn't fair, after all it was two on one even if those two didn't know how to use their new powers yet. Beta shrugged before stretching her arms, ready to get back into the fight. Oh look at that another card again.... Beta should aim for Adrian again. Beta laughed at the dumb idea before she started getting slashed at by the blades, dodging them rather expertly. Glancing the blows off her claws so Shoutmon couldn't get a direct hit in, almost like she was used to fighting a digimon with weapons. Beta felt her natural flow for battle returning as she moved around the attacks But you can't win a fight just by playing defensive, so Beta decided to return fire with his own slash attacks with her claws, aiming to knock Shoutmon into the defensive with an incredible amount of speed, if she managed to knock his attack away she'd reach back and thrust into his chest with a double palm strike. Meanwhile Alpha would instantly be on Shoutmon's back, slashing with his own fire covered claws, having both twins with good close ranged options on either side maybe engaging them up close and personal wasn't the smartest move.

"That isn't why I'm upset," SuperShoutmon said to Beta, his voice sounding less angry now at least. "Honestly, that's a good move that I would've never thought to make, since I don't really fight against many Tamer Digimon to begin with. But you got too close, and you almost hurt Adrian in the process." Alpha seemed to agree with SuperShoutmon on this one, at least.
"I'm perfectly fine, actually," Adrian said, trying to defuse the tension here, but to little effect. "You're gonna have to be quicker about it if you really wanna get ahold of my D-Arc though, Beta."
Alright, now it was time to get back into the fight. With his V-Sabers, SuperShoutmon would clash them against Beta's claws as she attempted to block his strikes. The natural flow of battle resumed as the attacks commenced. SuperShoutmon had to admit, Beta was good; he was having a hard time finding a weak spot on her, a perfect opening for him to strike. They almost looked like Dragon Ball characters with how they were hitting and blocking each other.
Suddenly, Beta decided now that it was time to get serious. She started slashing at SuperShoutmon at an incredible speed, forcing him to be on the defensive now and using his V-Sabers to block her attacks. Holy crap, she's not giving me any room to breathe! Did I really upset her that much? Afterwards, Beta's idea paid off as she was able to thrust her palm into his chest, causing him to fly backwards and be subjected to Alpha's fire claw attack as well. "AAAUGH!"
"Dad!" Gem cried, not believing what he just saw.
SuperShoutmon rolled on the ground a bit after landing, his mic staff conveniently resting right next to his mouth. His first instinct was to get up, but then an idea came to him. A smirk secretly formed on his mouth... Why don't I play dead and let them come to me?
And so, SuperShoutmon pantomimed playing dead, waiting for Alpha and Beta to be in the perfect position. A position where Alpha wouldn't be able to tank for Beta, where they would both get hit this time. When the moment was just right, without any sort of warning in the sli- "MIGHTY MELODY!!"
After the sound wave attack was perfomed, SuperShoutmon would immediately get up and grab his mic staff, charging it up with soul energy before he used it to strike at Beta once more. Let's see how the twins would react to a surprise attack like this! SuperShoutmon is hit by both Alpha's and Beta's attacks. He plays dead as Alpha and Beta (hopefully) get into a perfect position before he uses "Mighty Melody" on them both, followed by a "Beat Baton" on Beta.
Moves Mighty Melody: SuperShoutmon yells/sings into his mic stand, sending a blast of musical energy outwards, hitting all enemies in a diameter of 25m. Cooldown is two posts.

Beta puffed her cheeks out as Adrian mentioned her being quicker to get it, she could've totally went for her full claw to get it but decided just to use the tips as to not hurt him, given this was sparring and for some reason Ciel told her not to go all out against humans. Still she just shrugged at this deciding to let it go, she had a fight to get back to. Beta was then able to overwhelm Shoutmon knocking him right into Alpha, Alpha dashed passed him moving over to his sisters side. " Nice job Beta!" Alpha complimented giving his sister a small claw bump? I'll just call it fist bump for clarities sake. So one of those. " Ciel does the same thing to me all the time, guess I'm just fast enough to keep up with it now." Usually she'd just of tanked the blows but now she could move faster then she ever could before. " Maybe this new form isn't so bad after all." But enough about that, what was Shoutmon doing. Not much as he was mostly just laying down on the ground in front of them, Alpha and Beta paused for a moment before both of them took a short leap back, according to a dice roll this was the option they're picking. " Oh no, looks like we've knocked him out already. Such a shame guess the fights over." Beta taunted, looking over at Alpha who was smiling as well. " Guess we were too strong for him, what a shame. Thought he'd tank more hits then that." Alpha continued, they were trying to rile him up, after all there was no way they knocked him out that easily. So if Shoutmon were to use the AoE attack he'd find the twins outside of the attacks range. " Sorry but we're not that stupid, plus if we stay away for a moment that armor of yours will fade soon enough won't it." It was a lot better for them to stay on the defense for this moment, letting their skills recharge.

SuperShoutmon had pretty good hearing. That's how he was able to tell that his plan wasn't really working all too well. He could hear Alpha and Beta try to taunt the red dragon, and he could tell from their voices that they were not anywhere close to being in range of his attack. Eventually SuperShoutmon had to call it quits on the jig since they caught on, and he picked himself up. And because he didn't actually get to use either attack on the twins, the author decides that he didn't perform them at all, and their cooldowns reset! Score!
"Heh, dunno whether to be proud you saw through that," SuperShoutmon said, "or disappointed that I didn't get to do the cool thing I really wanted to do, heheh."
"Yeah! Go Dad! I knew you weren't really knocked out!" Gem cheered.
That wasn't it, though. Alpha had correctly guessed that SuperShoutmon's armor would be fading away soon. SuperShoutmon smirked. "You remind me a lot of my son Luneth. He was quick to determine these sorts of things too. Yeah, can't hide it any longer, this armor will fade any moment. So, let's take this moment to discuss your progress... how are you two feeling in your new forms so far?" He felt now was a good time to start discussing the twins' growth with their new forms, since that's what the spar was mostly about rather than actually trying to knock each other out.

Shoutmon eventually picked himself off the ground, which was probably for the best given had he tried whatever it was he wanted to do he would most likely of gotten hit by the twins. "It just made sense, after all it's not like we're THAT strong to knock you out in such few hits." Alpha knew he and Beta could hit hard but to knock a digimon out like that, especially one with some armor active, didn't seem likely. "Gotta say though I'm surprised you went to taunt him first Beta."
Beta simply shrugged with a smile. "Guess your form is affecting me more than I thought." Ahh yes, go with the blaming Alpha defense, which would normally work out. "We pick up on combat stuff pretty easily, dunno why it just. Comes naturally." Beta said in response to Alpha determining stuff like the armor. "As for how we're doing. It's hard to say, I'm feeling more in tune with fighting but i'm just way too light, it's making it hard to judge how fast I'm gonna go. Especially since anytime Alpha seemed to deal damage I'd start moving faster." Which was a bit odd and would take a lot of getting used to.
"I'm starting to get used to not being as fast, though I guess in this form I've taken Beta's normal ability. Every time I get hit it seems I get stronger, which makes it a bit confusing considering I usually do my best not to take any damage. Having to do the opposite, that'll take some getting used to." Move fast and don't take damage, that was how Alpha usually did things.
"It might serve you both well to learn how to master these forms, given they seem to be direct counterparts to your usual forms it will offer insight to how both of you fight. Though we should still seek out a way to return you to your normal forms, else all this knowledge shall be wasted." It did seem a bit odd to Dylas that they simply swapped forms for now, maybe it was just a twin thing.

SuperShoutmon chuckled a bit at Alpha's reasoning. "You kids are smart, I'll give ya that. I wonder if you would've fallen for it if I decided to pull that trick later into the spar though..." Though according to the twins, Alpha would've been the one who usually goes first for the taunting, with Beta chalking it up to being more affected by Alpha's form than she thought. SuperShoutmon wondered if blaming Alpha was a constant for these guys...
As for their current states, it seems like the twins were still having trouble getting used to their forms. Beta was more used to staying still and tanking hits, so she wasn't used to getting faster each time Alpha dealt damage. Alpha had a similar problem, since he usually tried to avoid taking hits in his other form. "It can be a real pain when you have to go against your tried-and-true strategies, I agree there. But you both were doing great out there regardless. You knew each other's abilities still, and you still worked fantastically as a team to try to get the upper hand on me. You two were even giving me a rough time... and that's saying something!"
Adrian would then intervene with his own thoughts. "A quick question for you two; have you tried to teach each other how to use your forms yet?" he would ask Alpha and Beta. "As in, actually talk to each other about it? It seems like it would help the both of you to learn from the one who mastered the form originally, you know? It sounds to me like while you did work together, you tried to learn about it without help from the one whose advice mattered the most."
"Actually yeah, DID you guys talk to each other about what you know about those forms?"
"Is the spare still going?" Gem asked Adrian.
"It's pronounced 'spar,' Gem. And I think they're talking about what they learned from the sparring so far."
"Is it gonna take long? I'm hungry."
"Now? You had a snack not too long ago."
"Well, not a very big one..."
Well, it seemed like the spar discussion was gonna go on unless one of the twins or Dylas decided that they were getting hungry too...

Alpha just gives a small shrug at the being smart thing. "We're just used to fighting, our mom trains with us all the time. One thing she always tells us is to never trust our opponent." Which was the main reason they didn't fall for that, caution will save you in a fight.
"She's really strong, when we started, she didn't even need to use her weapon to knock us flat, though we might've fallen for it if we did that... Uhh what did we call it Alpha?" They didn't use that move too often so she sometimes forgets, unless it was the heat of the moment.
"Joint attack, though I don't know if we can use it like this. We'd probably hafta copy each other's movements. Should save using that until we know we won't randomly bash into one another." They wouldn't have context for the move, sadly neither twin could give that at the moment judging by the explanation, but it sure sounded like it'd hurt!
"That's cause me and Alpha are a team through and through, nothing will stop us!" Beta announced giving Alpha a one-armed hug pulling the Baohackmon close.
"Er, heh. Yeah, like mom says. As long as we work together, we'll be fine." Alpha responded with a small smile.
Then came the question of if they actually tried talking to each other about the forms, which cause Beta to look away for a moment, a bit embarrassed. "Well you see, the problem with that is I can't exactly say either of us have mastered our other forms." Alpha was the first to admit scratching the side of his head.
"We actually haven't been fighting for too long, according to mom we fight more on instinct than anything else. It's hard to teach someone how to instinctually do something." Beta continued with a nod from Alpha, it was a good idea just wouldn't work with them.
"Which is why I've been writing down notes and analyzing their moves, which we could make do for a break and a review. If that's alright with you." Dylas seemed to be on the young digimons side, a break and some food would be good. The twins seemed to shrug in response, sounded like a fine idea, no objections

"I train with my own kids all the time as well," SuperShoutmon said as Alpha explained that their mom trains with him and Beta regularly. "Well, if they need it. Two of them go to school in Rosewood where they get more official training from my pal Owen the Gaomon, and my oldest one travels with an Angoramon in a traveling bakery, believe it or not. I'm actually pretty jealous of him!"
"At least Luneth has more self-control than you when it comes to food," Adrian replied, to which SuperShoutmon had no counterargument against. "Do you guys know what it's like to live with a bottomless pit like Shoutmon here is?"
Adrian, SuperShoutmon and Gem all couldn't help but smile when Beta proudly announced that she and Alpha were a great team through and through, even causing Alpha to smile a little bit. "Family sticks together through thick and thin. Hopefully you'll remember that for the future. You two are definitely a great team and I'd hate to see that teamwork end, you know?"
In response to Adrian's question... Alpha admitted that he and Beta hadn't even mastered their other forms yet, causing Adrian and SuperShoutmon to do an anime face-fault in response. Beta said that they hadn't been fighting for long, and when they do, they fought on instinct. "Mister Owen teaches us different ways of fighting all the time. Maybe you guys should come see my school sometime?"
As it turned out, Dylas had been writing down notes and analyzing their moves, which he hoped they could review over a break. "Yeah, that fighting's really worked up my appetite," SuperShoutmon said as he devolved to Shoutmon. "There's actually a food stand nearby to serving those training here at the Spartan grounds. Maybe we could check that place out while we review those notes?"

Traveling bakery huh, Alpha didn't have a comment on that but just nodded so that he understood. Though he looked over and saw Beta confused. "What's a, School?" The word was pretty obviously foreign to her.
"Right yeah, basically what mom does for us except like, with a buncha strangers. I think? Not really sure myself." That was about his understanding on what school was, it wasn't a common thing in the digital world or at the very least within the twins own little world.
"....What's gonna happen in the future?" Did they know something Beta didn't? Was something going to happen to the two of them. Oh no!
"I think he's just hoping that if something does happen we'll remember." Alpha replied to quickly put Beta's worries to rest, not like anything too bad was going on in their horizon, at least nothing more then they already knew was going to happen.
To the anime face-fault Alpha seemed to get pretty defensive. "H-hey, it's hard to perfect a form you've only had for a few months, especially when you also have to learn to work together with a digimon you've never met." Of course they haven't mastered their forms! They haven't had them for too long.
"Should've seen us at the start, we kept getting in each others way and accidentally hitting each other." Alpha muttered something about not having to mention that part but it was sadly true.
Meanwhile while this entire conversation had been going down Dylas was lost in his grimoire, floating in front of his face. "That should suffice, lead the way. Oh if any of you require healing I can assist with that quickly." Dylas mentioned as the book closed, that offer seemed to extend to Shoutmon as well, though the twins just shook their heads not really needing it at the moment.

"Yeah, the Rosewood Academy in... well, Rosewood," Shoutmon explained to Beta specifically, "you go to the building to not only learn but get a chance to meet other Digimon your age and maybe even befriend them. My two that go to the school both have their own little friend groups there. You two would love it, I bet."
Beta thought that Shoutmon was somehow able to predict their future and asked if something was going to happen to her and Alpha. Shoutmon couldn't help but sigh as a response, thankfully Alpha was able to explain what he actually meant to her. "Yeah, what your brother said. I don't actually have the power to see into the future, ya know."
"I don't think the future even really CAN be told, if I'm being honest," Adrian says. "It's like clay; easily moldable."
Alpha did have a point, it's pretty hard to master a form if you had only been using it for a few months. "I know what that's like," Gem said, "it's really hard for me to control my attacks and stuff. I use too much power too easily... Mom and Dad told me that I sneezed and blew up our front door when I was a baby." Of course, all three couldn't help but laugh a bit when Beta mentioned how she and Alpha would constantly get in each other's way at the beginning.
A loud growling sound could then be heard, interrupting the laughing. The source? Gem's stomach. He, Adrian and Shoutmon looked down at, with Gem blushing red before he asked, "Can we get going now, Dad?"
"The restaurant's this way, I'm pretty sure," Adrian said as he led the way to the place. Dylas asked if they required any healing along the way, to which Shoutmon just shook his head no, same as the twins.

Beta's eyes lowered a bit as Shoutmon mentioned Rosewood Academy being in Rosewood, though she didn't say anything since he probably just said it on accident and didn't think she wouldn't actually know that. "Meet digimon our age huh? Might be nice but I don't think we should." They had a lot of other stuff to take care of before they could enjoy something like that. "Besides mom teaches us a lot already and I already got a friend in Alpha."
With the future talk Dylas seemed to chime something in. "The future can't be seen completely but it be predicted but some spells may grant sight into possible outcomes, those outcomes are decided on what we choose to do however. So you are correct it is something we mold, can only do the best we can."
With mastering forms though what Gem said did make Alpha raise a metaphorical eyebrow. "We've never had problems like that, it's always just been something we kinda just do. I've never really given much thought into how I fight just that I do." That doubled back into the instinct thing.
"When I first woke up I didn't know anything at all but fighting just comes naturally to me, like I've done it all my life. It's just working together that was a bit of a problem at the start." Regardless of anything it was pretty clear to anyone these two were fighters. Then they laughed at the twins for getting in each others way which made Alpha groan and look away while Beta just giggled. "We're much better now, I can even see in the dark now so I can follow a lot more of Alpha's movements."
With that said the twins and Dylas would then follow after Shoutmon and the others, to food they go.
