Dark Rebirth: Prelude (Plot)

When the lights went out inside the museum, Datamon noticed that it was a lot darker than it should've been inside the building, even with the blackout. It wasn't even noon yet, so there should still be some sunlight pouring in from outside, right? Something definitely wasn't right, here. Intermittent flashing and rumbling outside the museum's windows would reveal that in the few minutes the museum had been open, the weather had rapidly shifted from clear and sunny, to a heavy thunderstorm that completely blotted out the sun and darkened the sky. Luckily, the Terriermon accompanying the young, pink-haired girl managed to create some light by digivolving to Firamon. In the flickering light of the lion Digimon's flames, however, the shadows within the museum could be seen moving erratically. Almost appearing to take the appearance of wailing spirits, the shadows seemed to stretch and converge on the far wall of the room to form a large, swirling mass of shadows. From within the curtain of shadows a pair of green, glowing eyes could be seen peering out as a hooded figure emerged from the very darkness itself. At first glance, the figure resembled the typical depiction of the Grim Reaper, resembling a cloaked skeleton wielding a wicked-looking scythe with a glowing, crystalline orb filled with wailing spirits in place of legs. Whoever this reaper was, they were clearly very old and very dangerous. After the reaper fully emerged from the wall, he silently scanned his surroundings and observed the museum's occupants. The reaper scoffed as the metal ring floating behind his back moved away from him an transformed into a large, circular gate that resembled a corrupted version of a HolyAngemon's Gate of Destiny. The reaper waved one of his skeletal hands at the gate, causing it to open and allow a Mega-level Arcadiamon to pass through before turning back into a simple ring and returning to the reaper. "Hmph, so this is what they've done with the relics? Hung them up in a museum so that this wortheless rabble can oggle at them like some cheap trinkets? I don't know whether to applaud their bravery, or eviscerate them for their insolence!" The Arcadiamon growled out, clenching his fists in anger.
SkulPhantomon moves used: -Gate of the Damned: The ring floating behind SkullPhantomon moves in front of him and turns into a dark counterpart of HolyAngemon's Gates of Destiny, creating a dark portal that sucks in an enemy to damage them before spitting them back out of the gate. 5 post CD. Outside of battle, the Gate of the Damned can also be used as a portal to quickly travel between 2 locations. (0/5)

Cream digivolving to Firamon and providing some light did little to ease Yoshihiro. The shadows moving made the already alert and wary holy digimon float off of Ryuji's shoulder landing softly on the floor while digivolving to his rookie form of Calumon(Rookie form). His Crystal Matrix on his forehead began glowing steadily as SkullPhantomon emerged from the shadows. Then things went from bad to worse as the ring on the reaper's back made it's transformation into some kind of corrupted gate. When the reaper opened the gate the already bad situation became much much worse as a mega level Aracadiamon emerged from the gate.
"Uh..Yoshihiro, what is that thing?" Ryuji asked sounding pretty nervous.
"A mega level addition to an already shitty situation. MetalPhantomon has used that gateway of his to bring forth a dangerous digimon called Aracadiamon. If some of us here can reach at least mega then we might have a chance." Yoshihiro said looking over the assembled group before shooting a brief glance at the bathroom. Hell of a time for Mocha to be occupied. Turning back toward MetalPhantomon and Aracadiamon the now rookie level Calumon had a feeling diplomacy had a snowball's chance in hell to convince the duo to leave peacefully. Not that Ryuji was eager to approach the pair and who could blame him?

"Keep in mind that according to the legends, each Royal Knight was far more powerful than even a Super Mega," Weston said to Beta, "so three alone could have easily fought off against an Apocalymon. Perhaps even more could have made sure he did not return, but that is besides the point. And as the Terriermon said, history involving the Knights is vague indeed." The Wizardmon would then introduce himself as Dylas, who turned out to be an associate of Ciel's. "Ah, a pleasure to meet another Wizardmon," Weston said as he bowed towards Dylas.
Ciel told Weston that she and the kids were doing alright, just taking a break from training to come to the museum. She also invited him to come along to get something to eat with them, since he did help save them from a Thunderbirdmon before. "If you do not think I will be interrupting, then I would be delighted to join you," Weston replied with a smile. Free food was always good.
When the lights went out, Weston noticed that it was considerably darker than it probably should have been as well, even with the Terriermon pre-emptively digivolving to Firamon. It became clear soon after that there was a thunderstorm outside.. much like when the Thunderbirdmon first appeared. "Why is it that rain always seems to bring bad news?" Weston asked Alpha, Beta and Ciel.
Weston saw the shadows moving in a way that they shouldn't normally. These shadows began to stretch out and form a mass of shadows, with green glowing eyes being seen as a hooded figure emerged from these shadows. Weston didn't need Yoshihiro's explanation to know exactly what Digimon this was. SkullPhantomon... It didn't take long for SkullPhantomon to open another portal and bring along a friend, an Arcadiamon.
Arcadiamon was clearly not happy with what they did with the relics. This is where Weston decided to step in and confront both him and SkullPhantomon. "Better that they be displayed for others to learn than for whatever purpose you have for them," Weston said, his hands glowing with orange sparking magic. "I am afraid that I cannot allow you to take anything here, if that is your goal."

"Yeah, you'd think if they were that strong then there would be more info about them, but that does make sense. If they're that strong then having too many out would draw a lotta attention." Though it would seem the newcomer started to feel a bit out of place of the conversation. "Oh ah, goodbye?" Beta waved the digimon off before going back to the conversation at hand.
"The pleasure is mine I assure you, perhaps we may discuss these historical facts later. I'd enjoy comparing notes and ideas on what may of happened here." The pursuit of knowledge never ended after all, besides this digimon seemed as interested as he was in this subject so best to get someone to compare towards.
Then came the storm, it was approaching. Weston asked why the rain brought bad news to them but they seemed a bit too on edge to reply, after all considering what happened before no one could blame them. Which didn't take long for them to be proven right as a digimon emerged from the shadows. Ciel motioned for the twins and anyone else nearby to back off, especially the crowd. Like the now Firamon said moving to a safer location was important.
Alpha and Beta seemed to take the hint and quickly retreated leaving Ciel alone for now, hand firm on her Katana ready to draw at a moments notice as the Skullphantomon came out. As she watched the two Mega level digimon come out seeimingly ready to try and take the artifact for themselves Weston was the first to stand up facing off against the Mega level digimon ready to defend the artifact.
What might come as a surprise considering her current stance with her weapon ready to be drawn Ciel instead grabbed Weston with her free hand and pulled back slightly. "Weston, I admire your valor truly I do but with all these digimon around, in the middle of a town no less, even if we were on even grounds a fight here would cause more problems then solve." Ciel reminded glancing back at Alpha and Beta, she couldn't afford to let the two of the possibly get caught in the cross fire.
"It would be more wise to allow them to take what they want and pursue them afterwards, considering what they want we should be able to figure out where they're going." Ciel made sure to mention that last part more quietly, while she didn't want to let them go they couldn't fight here, not with so much possibility of innocents getting caught in the crossfire.

Welp, things were taking a turn for the worse. And while Nanami definitely wanted something exciting to happen... This was a bit much! Still, couldn't be helped. All they had to do was deal with the situation as it came up. Nanami held up her Digivice to the louder of the pair, the Arkadimon, and began her little scan. Normally she wouldn't like to invade a Digimon's personal information like that, but she could make an exception for bad people. Nanami had a gut feeling that this guy wasn't a very friendly person, what with the whole, "eviscerating for their insolence" line. Nanami didn't know what those words meant, but she's pretty sure that was evil-people talk for "grr i'm a meaniehead that does bad things grr!"
But it didn't seem like Nanami and her group were alone in this. There was... Oh! Was that Ryuji and Yoshihiro over there? She should say hello to those two after this was all over! She hadn't seen them since she spent all that time in the South! And then there was the weeb nun swordlady, and the wizard guy. And another wizard guy, too, from the looks of it. Though he seemed pretty upset for some reason. But having all those people would be nice, since Mocha was out of commission for the time being...
"Who the hell turned off the lights!?" There was a scream beyond a restroom door, and a rabbit's foot slammed into the wooden door as it shattered into scraps. An angry Lekismon marched forward with murder in her eyes as she glared at the pink-haired girl. "Stupid Nanami! I thought I told you not to Digivolve me while I'm on the can! If I lose my balance mid-evolution, I fall into the freaking thing! And then imagine me getting bigger in that state!" Her furious glare then turned towards the Arkadimon and the SkullPhantomon, as she gave the pair a contemptuous scowl. "What the hell are you two looking at!? We're kind of in the middle of a boring-ass museum visit, so the both of you piss off before I decide to use your ugly-ass faces as toilet paper!"
A Champion making such threats towards a pair of Mega-level Digimon probably wasn't the smartest option in the world, but despite the level difference it wasn't like she couldn't be any less distracting. Besides, cowering in fear would be exactly what the Mega-agenda wants, and Mocha wasn't about to conform to that shit.
Meanwhile, Cream moved over towards Datamon and his little security posse. "Unless your security can Digivolve further, you're likely going to be useless here," She stated. "Focus on evacuating the personnel and customers first. As precious as you may find these artifacts, no one wants to be the museum curator that got a bunch of innocent people killed." After a pause, she added. "Besides, this might all be a distraction, so after securing the civilians, you may want to look out for anything suspicious away from this area, just in case."

Needless to say, the dramatic entrance of SkullPhantomon and Arcadiamon was a collective 'OH CRAP!' moment from the museum staff, as Datamon mentally kicked himself for invoking Murphy's Law. When Weston made his bold statement that he wouldn't allow the two Megas to steal the artifacts, the Arcadiamon actually laughed at the sight. "A bold claim to make, scholar., if you think you can actually stand a chance against us. Perhaps you should listen to your Sistermon friend there since she seems to have the right idea. You insects aren't worth our time, so you may keep your worthless lives as long as you stay out of our way." "DO NOT GROW OVERCONFIDENT IN YOUR OWN STRENGTH, ARGUS. YOU ARE AN IMPORTANT FACTOR TO OUR GOALS, BUT YOU ARE NOT IRREPLACEABLE." SkullPhantomon chastised. His deep voice did not come from his mouth, but seemed to echo from directly within the heads of those who 'heard' it. "Forgive me, Lord Zobek. I let my pride get the best of me." The Arcadiamon, Argus, apologized as he knelt in front of the reaper in shame. Before the SkullPhantomon could respond, however, their conversation was interrupted by Mocha literally kicking the bathroom door down and marching in to yell at both Nanami and the two Megas. Both of the villains were briefly stunned by her outburst, staring at the Lekismon for a moment before one of the two managed to respond. "ARGUS? KILL HER.""As you command, Lord Zobek. Qliphoth Snare!" Argus replied, multiple tentacles bursting out of his left forearm and gunning straight towards Mocha in order to wrap her up and crush her like a boa constrictor. While that was going on, the Strikedramon guards would follow Cream's advice and start evacuating the civilians, while Datamon stayed inside. He might be old, but he was still an Ultimate and willing to try and help stop the thieves if need be!
Datamon has joined the party as a temporary ally (kind of). He cannot directly damage the enemy due to his age, but has several support abilities to aid you with. Arcadiamon moves used: -Qliphoth Snare: Arcadia sprouts tentacles from his body that he uses to wrap an enemy up and constrict them to deal damage. 3 post CD. 0/3 SkullPhantomon moves used: Gate of the Damned: 1/5. 'Oh crap. Oh crap. Now what do we do?' Ryuji thought as Weston's words didn't seem to dissuade the two megas from trying to steal the artifact. In fact the Aracadiamon considered Weston as an insect and by extent all of them as well. Sure Yoshihiro could reach ultimate level but that didn't mean squat in this situation making the tamer wonder if anyone in the group could reach mega or, at the very least, could everyone reach ultimate?
Seeing his tamer frozen with thoughts running in his head, Yoshihiro said "Ryuji, get you act together and focus. We may or may not have advantage in brute strength but we have one advantage and that is numbers." Those words seemed to snap Ryuji back to reality knowing his partner and, in a sense, an older brother was right.
Looking at the two megas, now known as Zobek and Argus, and asked "You think you can hold your own against at least one of these guys, Yoshihiro?" At Yoshihiro's nod Ryuji brought out his digivice also seeing Yoshihiro's Crystal Matrix begin glowing a solid color.
"All right! Showtime!" Yoshihiro exclaimed as his body became engulfed by the light of digivolution but his light was red like his Crystal Matrix. Instead of digivolving into his champion level he shot up his ultimate form. "Caludramon!" he called out his wings still folded before taking his mantis style fighting stance ready for battle. When he saw Argus shooting tentacles towards Mocha he trotted over to where Mocha was before using his tail to swat at the tentacles as he said "Now. Now. Surely as an in training you were taught to keep your grubby tentacles to yourself or did you not recieve that lesson growing up?"

Well it would seem like Ciel thought Weston's words didn't do much to dissuade them from their attempts, while she didn't want to let them go that might just be the best option for now. Despite reaching Ultimate she could still feel those old wounds, she wouldn't be able to fight at full strength and as far as she knew Weston and her were the only Ultimate level digimon here at the time. That was until a Lekismon burst out of the bathroom and they made attempts to strike her down for talking, which to Ciel didn't match the agreement they had just said. Words were just words after all at least to her. Still though with barely a thought passing her mind for a moment Ciel reached up grabbing the handle to her Greatsword calling out. " You three, help them with the evacuation!" Ciel shouted out to the twins and Dylas as she pulled the blade out leaping into the air. " You got it mom! Alright this way single file everyone!" Beta and Dylas started going around making sure everyone was on their feet and moving while Alpha lingered for a few moments staring at the artifact. Maybe if he took it he could buy them a little time.... Well regardless it was probably too late for that even if he could still use his portals. Best not make another target over his head so Alpha went to assist Beta and Dylas. Ciel meanwhile would come crashing down on tentacles the stranger had attempted to swat, smashing the massive sword into them and the ground ground causing the floor below it to break slightly from the force before quickly shifting her blade around, spinning and throwing all her weight into the next slash to bash the attack away back at the Arcadiamon, usually with this technique there was a third strike but she elected to skip it. In favor of doing that though Ciel would raise the blade upward for a moment pointing it at the Mega level digimon before firing a shot at the Arcadiamon right after revealing the gun part of her sword as she did, despite the basic nature of the attack it would feel quite powerful if it hit. " You know for being such a superior being it would seem the simple words of a Lekismon were enough to make you go into a fit." Ciel mocked as she returned her sword on her back once more. " It seems you are quite bad at keeping your word, so I suppose there's no reason to hold myself to my own. I suppose I shall oppose you." Ciel calmly stated as her hand hovered over her Katana, judging from that stranger it was four ultimate's against two Mega's, still not the best odds but better then before.
Ciel C.A:
(Current Weaponry) [Kaiser Nail's]: The pair of gauntlets and the leggings she made from her time spent with a teacher that was a WereGarurumon X, with these Ciel can make basic strikes and kicks while keeping her hands and legs safe.
[Zan Revolver]; a massive Greatsword that Ciel created from her time with a RizeGreymon X, slightly larger then her body making it a bit harder to wield but devistating results when she manages to land a hit with it, alongside a projectile basic attack from the gun.
[Yamato]: A Katana that never leaves Ciel's side no matter what, a simple design with a gold finish on the sheath and a yellow ribbon. Carries it in her right hand.
[Megadeath Cannon]: A cannon on the opposite side Ciel carries the Yamato, sitting near her left leg folded up. Unfolded it's about twice the size of her head.
(Active Passives): [Mastery]: Years of fine tuning and honing her technique have made even her most basic of strikes deadly weapons, increasing the power of her basic attacks to that of a 0 post cool down move.
[Lightweight Assaulter]: Adopting a stance more suited to both offense and defense while using her gauntlets allow Ciel to effortlessly attack and defend herself at the same time, if she is attacked while using a named or basic attack with the Kaiser Nail's she powers through the attack instead, not staggering and having a reduced 10% to damage taken by the attack. Pierce moves will still make her stagger and deal the full damage.
[True Solar Buster]: Ciel delivers a named attack with her Gunsword she launches an projectile Basic attack from the gun right after. Once used has a 2 post cooldown before it can be used again.
(Used Move): [Trident Slasher]: Ciel brings the Zen revolver downward smashing it into the enemy before quickly turning her heel and delivering a second slash throwing all her weight into it before jumping after the enemy for a third massive slam down with her blade. 3 post cool down.
(Current Cooldown): Trident Slasher 0/3
True Solar Buster 0/2

When Weston tried to step up and assert himself against the would-be museum thieves, he could feel Ciel grabbing onto his arm. She warned him that they were still in a town with many Digimon around, so a fight would probably cause more problems than it would solve. Weston shook his head. "I know these types, Ciel. They won't stay true to their word. And even if they did... as Sorcerimon's son, I cannot allow them to accomplish their goal."
The Arcadiamon laughed at Weston when he stepped up against him and the SkullPhantomon, calling them all insects in the process. "I do not care whether or not I am powerful enough. I'll happily die as long as I hold my ground against the likes of you." That was no empty threat, either. Weston had lived for so long now that he truly did not care about the stakes such as death. He would keep these two from stealing the armor piece no matter what.
Then that's when the Lekismon entered the scene. She stomped over and berated a nearby pink-haired girl named Nanami, presumably her Tamer, for digivolving her while she was on the toilet. Weston felt an intense anger towards the Lekismon, as that was no way to treat ANYONE, let alone your partner. She took her anger out on the now named Lord Zebok and Argus next, the latter of which immediately proceeded to attack her.
The scene seemed to play in slow motion for Weston as he saw the tentacles go straight for the Lekismon. An attack from a Mega level like that would surely kill her! The Wisemon began to extend his arm out before the Calumon from before Digivolved and swiped the attack away just in time, allowing Ciel to counterattack them. Weston sighed in relief; while he was angry at the Lekismon, she didn't deserve to be deleted like that.
While Alpha, Beta and Dylas helped with evacuations, Ciel voiced her own stance on how pathetic the two villains had to be to let the words of a Lekismon affect them so. "I am glad you finally see it my way, Ciel," Weston stated before he used his magic to shoot a powerful stream of fire right at Argus. "RUNE FLAME!" Weston uses the magic spell "Rune Flame" on Argus the Arcadiamon.
Moves Rune Flame: From Weston's hands, a stream of fire is shot out at the target, even more powerful than his fire was as a Wizardmon. Cooldown is one post.

And as was typical once Mocha decided to become an active participant in a conversation, things would quickly begin to turn violent. Apparently an ultimate-level mon like whatever that calumon nerd turned into could deflect a higher-level mon's attack like it was nothing, but she figured she shouldn't complain. Even if it didn't, the interference from Caludramon and the Sistermon would hopefully give her plenty of time to bunny-hop on out of the way. So she decided to give the Arkadimon a shit-eating grin as she mocked. "Wow, all I did was talk a little smack and you guys got all worked up!" She took the time to let out a mocking laugh. "Seriously though..." She pointed a clawed finger towards the SkullPhantomon. "You look like a lame mid-boss that any punk with a whip and flask of water could body on their second try..." She then directed her finger towards the Arkadimon. "And the fact that you're simpin' for that guy's bony ass like he's some e-girl that's 'totally gonna make it worth your while one day' makes me wanna laugh even harder! I guess this museum visit was a good idea, after all!" Admittedly, most of what Mocha was saying was flying over Nanami's head, but judging by her tone she could most likely assume that Mocha was saying more mean words, though the Lekismon normally didn't get this into it. But it was at that point when Weston shot out a stream of definitely-stronger-than-Wizardmon flames towards the big lug Argus. Was Mocha just trying to be as distracting as possible. Wait... distracting... Oh crap! Nanami totally got distracted by everything that was going on! She should totally be doing something right now! She had never fought one before, but even she knew that mega-level Digimon were bad news, after all! She held up her Digivice, letting loose another surge of light that split out into twin spheres of light, enveloping her two partner Digimon. "Super... Evolution!" Mocha broke free from the light, standing at about a modest five-and-half feet in height, much more humanoid in appearance, but still keeping some rabbit-like qualities to her. She held a large, unwieldy-looking crescent-shaped blade in one hand, its edge glimmering with faint bits of frost, moonlight, and shadows. "Crescemon!" "Umm... Super Evolution..." Cream was a little less enthusiastic about the upcoming fight, but she too Digivolved further, nonetheless. And if Mocha's form was a little more humanoid, then Cream's form blew it out of the water. Looking like a human that really wanted to impress her angel cosplay-loving partner on valentine's, she held herself aloft on eight resplendent wings, her feet barely above the ground. "Angewomon..." Cream was giving off a different kind of light now, one that was quite a bit brighter and more intense than the flickering flames from before. Cream circled the room, gently patting Nanami on the shoulder and whispering, "Don't be nervous. Don't overthink things. Just follow your instincts, Commander," Nanami nodded, then immediately ran over towards Ryuji. Having the two squishy humans together in one place would make it easier for their partners to defend. Then she had to think, and quickly. Argus was a virus Digimon. And she had something that could take advantage of that. But who should she use it on? There was Mocha and Cream, but Mocha seemed intent on being as distracting as possible. It would be best for her to try and take a more defensive role. And Cream wasn't exactly engaging, either. Did she want to stand back and support? Then neither of them were good options. The big, towering dragon seemed like the safest bet, but wizards were always powerhouses in the books she read in the hospital, and the nun-lady with the bunch of weapons... had a bunch of weapons. But... there was something more important right now! Nanami slapped her hand on her chest, creating a loud clap that stung way more than she intended, and began to speak loudly, but quickly. "I don't know if everyone knows everyone yet, but I'm Nanami, and my partners are Mocha and Cream. These two are my friends Ryuji and Yoshihiro! It's really nice to meet you, Weston and Ciel!" She had overheard their names over the course of this brief little encounter so far. She held up a card and her D-Arc Digivice. "I'd like to support everyone with my cards, but I'd like everyone's permission to do so, please!" It seemed rather silly, seeing as how tense the situation was, but Nanami didn't want to use a card on an ally, only for them to get surprised and distracted by the sudden change and get left open to attack. Meanwhile, while Nanami gave her brief request, Mocha would begin spinning her massive blade around in a tribal-like dance. The moon symbol would glow alight, then suddenly shoot into the Crescemon's body, creating what looked like a second copy of her, almost like she were constantly moving with an afterimage. Then Cream flew over towards the Yoshihiro, placing her hand gently upon the Caludramon's back. "It's good to see you again, for what it's worth," She said, then transferred a burst of white light into the dragon's body. And a similar experience to what Mocha underwent would happen to him as well. LOG: - Mocha and Cream Digivolve to Ultimate forms, with Cream slide-evolving in the process.
- Nanami asks for permission to use cards on her allies. Because consent in giving people superpowers is always important, no matter how temporary they may be.
- Mocha uses her [Lunatic Dance] ability on herself, allowing her to use two named abilities per post for the next 3 posts.
- Cream uses her [Champion's Calling] ability on Yoshihiro, similarly allowing him to make two attacks on his next 3 posts, named abilities or otherwise. This effect cannot stack with another effect that would give him an extra attack.

Argus laughed as the Caludramon ineffectually tried swatting the Qliphoth Snare away from the Lekismon. All that the dragon's effort would accomplish would be to cause him to be ensnared by the tendrils instead of Mocha. At least, that's what would have happened if the Sistermon hadn't severed the tips of the tendrils with her sword and smacked the tendrils away. The irritated Arcadiamon growled as he retracted the damaged tendrils, before using his arm to block the bullet from her gun-sword from hitting his head. It still hurt him, but he could handle a lot worse than a simple bullet wound to the arm.
Both Argus and Zobek were left confused by Mocha's taunts, not having the faintest clue what her insults even meant due to not understanding certain modern terms like 'simping'. This confusion resulted in Argus being blindsided by Weston unleashing a magical flamethrower upon the Arcadiamon. As the flames subsided, it was visible that the Arcadiamon was visibly scorched, but it was nowhere near enough to put the Mega down for the count.
More noticeable, however, was a glowing, flame-like crest that had appeared on the Arcadiamon's torso. Argus slowly let out a dark chuckle, which slowly grew into a maniacal cackle. "So, the little pests have some teeth to them, do they? Good ... very good! It has been so long since I've had a proper challenge, so give me everything you've got, worms! AHAHAHAHAHA! Overload Matrix!"
While Argus was letting himself be consumed by bloodlust, Zobek the SkullPhantomon would take advantage of the Arcadiamon's bold challenge and start searching through the relics on display. While the reaper searched, the berserk Arcadiamon would visibly bulk up before charging at Weston with the intent to tear the wizard apart with his bare claws.
Arcadiamon moves used:

-Adaptive OS (Passive): When Arcadiamon is hit by an elemental attack, He gains 1 Elemental Resistance stack, increasing his resistance to attacks of that same element by 10% per stack (up to a 30% maximum with 3 stacks). Arcadiamon can only have up to 3 stacks per element at a time. -Fire resistance: 1/3
-Overload Matrix: Arcadiamon overclocks his own operating system to raise his attack power and speed by 25% each, at the cost of lowering his defense by 20%. This effect lasts for three turns, with a 3 turn cooldown. (Duration: 0/3).

Yoshihiro's efforts to swat the tendrils away was not as effective as he had hoped and he would of been ensnared in them himself if not for Ciel sliced the tips of the them with the awesome sword she had. Sighing in relief he, to the Sistermon, said "Thank you." Yes he was humble enough to admit he needed help to himself but he didn't need to announce the obvious to everyone else around him. Looking back at Cream he said "It is nice to see you again as well but I think you'd agree it would of been better without having a mega or two breathing down our necks."
Ryuji had made it over to Nanami as the girl had asked if she could use cards on the group. "I'm sure Yoshihiro wouldn't mind any help he can get." The eighteen year old said glancing at the twenty foot dragon that was his partner who silently nodded his approval as well.
Ciel's bullet had been blocked by Argus's arm and Weston's fire seemed to have barely any effect. Sure Argus was a mega but there had to be another reason other than that. An ability of some kind perhaps. In any case now was not the time to ponder that as Yoshihiro spread his wings glad the room was so large before taking flight his Crystal Matrix glowing brightly. Then from the air he caught sight of Zobek searching the relics. It was obvious what he was after but the berserk Aracadiamon was a huge problem too but maybe if everyone attacked Argus at once then they could bring the threat down. "Crystal Matrix Laser!" Yoshihiro shouted firing a beam from the Crystal Matrix on his forehead sending it towards Argus. If it succeeded it would definitely be an attention getter. Then he noticed he still had enough power in his Crystal Matrix for one more shot. Not questioning this advantage the martial artist turned his head towards Zobek and exclaimed "Crystal Matrix Laser!" He fired the beam at Zobek hoping to hit the MetalPhantomon at best or cut him off at worst.
OOC: (Passive ability)Chi Focus: He is more agile and mentally disciplined than the average digimon of his level. Yoshihiro takes aim at both Zobek and Argus with his Crystal Matrix Laser. Crystal Matrix Laser: His forehead glows before shooting a beam out at his opponents.

Ciel, had absolutely no idea what that Lekismon was talking about, must've been a human thing. She did admire their spirit however, it was a good thing to have going into a fight such as this. Though when Weston mentioned Ciel seeing it his way she simply chuckled a moment. " What can I say, one of the few things in this world I cannot stand is hypocrites." While that wasn't the only reason that Ciel was fighting, mostly because watching someone die, even a slightly rude stranger, was something she didn't want to sit by and watch. As the larger digimon thanked her she simply nodded. " Thanks are not necessary, It would seem we're allies for this fight now. Best to support one another the best we can." She had no idea who this digimon was but if they were fighting she had to at least keep them safe. With that said however the two partnered digimon quickly evolved into Ultimate level digimon, so it was looking more and more in their favor. With numbers such as these they actually stood a chance of winning, while Ciel would rather like to know what her allies could do she was more then capable of working on the fly. " A pleasure to meet you three, feel free to provide any and all support you can, you have my full consent." Part of her was a bit concerned at this humans apparent age though considering what her own children were able to accomplish perhaps it would be fine, after all this was hardly the situation to worry about such things. If she was willing to fight it wasn't her place to question it. Ciel moved her hand to her sword, readying to awaken the Yamato before she noticed the buff that was given to Yoshihiro seemed to allow him to strike twice. " Hmm, If you get a chance to utilize that ability once more I may have a technique that'll be greatly assisted by that." Ciel told Cream as she let go of her sword letting the power fade, no instead Ciel elected to run alongside the two lasers fired by Yoshihiro, jumping right after them to deliver a flying jump kick to Argus' head. If she hit or miss didn't matter, going past them Ciel would spin around landing on her hands before bouncing back to deliver a spinning kick to their back followed by a double fisted overhead strike to the digimon's skull using the force to bounce off and leap back away from danger.
Ciel C.A: (Current Weaponry) [Kaiser Nail's]: The pair of gauntlets and the leggings she made from her time spent with a teacher that was a WereGarurumon X, with these Ciel can make basic strikes and kicks while keeping her hands and legs safe.
(Used Move): [Rapid Assault]: Ciel dashes forward with a powerful jump kick to send the opponent flying before dashing over under the flying opponent delivering a spin kick to send them upward before jumping up and smashing them down with a double fisted punch slamming them into the ground. 4 post cool down.
(Current Cooldown): Trident Slasher 1/3
True Solar Buster 1/2
Rapid Assault 0/4

Even Weston was thoroughly confused on what exactly Mocha was saying to Zebok and Argus. A mid-boss... was that a term from a video game? And what did "simping" mean? What was an e-girl? It was a very confusing mocking speech that while Weston would probably really like to know what any of that meant, now was clearly not the time or place for a such a conversation. Oh well, at least Ciel managed to save both her and the Caludramon from Argus' tendrill attack.
Ciel chuckled at Weston's comment, saying that she couldn't stand hypocrites. "Well there's two hypocrites right in front of us, merely asking to be put in their place at this moment," Weston responded confidently. The pink haired girl named Nanami then asked if she could support the others with her D-Arc cards. "If you believe they will help, then I give my full consent!"
And now the true fight could begin. After Weston's attack made sufficient contact with Argus, the Arcadiamon visibly powered up before he began to charge at Weston himself. While Yoshihiro fired a laser each at Argus and Zebok and Ciel aimed a kick at Argus' skull, Weston noticed how the MetalPhantomon was still searching for what they came for. While Argus was distracted, Weston would form an ice spike in his hands as discretely as he could before he would launch it right at Zebok's back. Weston uses "Freezing Spike" on Zebok.
Moves Freezing Spike: Weston uses ice magic to create one large sharp spike out of ice in mid-air before he launches it at the target, doing piercing damage. Cooldown is one post.
Cooldowns Rune Flame (1/1) Ready to use! Freezing Spike (0/1)

Apparently it was hip to not understand references these days, but Mocha didn't seem particularly perturbed by this. There was fighting to be had. Argus the beefcake used his beefcake powers to beefcake himself even more, and charged the wizard dude. Mocha thought the nerd was probably toast if no one stepped in, but big shocker when there were so many people fighting, a couple of people stepped in! Yoshihiro did stuff, Ciel did stuff, Weston did stuff, probably all recapped by the previous poster enough times that everyone got what was going on, so it was time for Nanami's group to do stuff! "Sorry... it's generally a one-time thing... unless the fight really drags, but..." Cream really didn't see that happening. Against a higher level opponent they'd either get picked off one-by-one until they all lost, or overwhelmed the enemy with their sheer numbers. And Cream wasn't exactly certain that Zobek was going to let his... comrade? Minion? Submissive lover (Cream doesn't judge)? Which was why she wanted to spread all the effects around, instead of dumping all their buffs in one Digital basket only to get ko'd early on by two stronger Digimon. If everyone got a boost, they could at least all do some damage before they went down. Kind of a pessimistic outlook for this fight, but Cream was used being next to someone who picked fights with higher level mons then subsequently getting murdered for them. Admittedly, she had never become this strong before. Still, unlike Cream, Nanami didn't even think of the possibility of everyone losing. She pulled out another card. If Cream was gonna support everyone, then she should do something that would help that, then! She slashed her second of seven cards, a scepter appearing in the Angewomon's hand, reminiscent of one of her previous forms, Darcmon. The Angewomon frowned for a second, shrugged, then flew over towards Weston. She held out the staff like a priest holding out a cross to a vampire, and bestowed the Wisemon a glorious light that would increase his attack strength, defense, and speed by 25% for about 3 turns, but this buff would be increased with Nanami's card making this effect "A good deal stronger"... whatever that means! It might help the Wisemon not get trampled underfoot by a Mega-level. But seeing as the Sistermon and the Caludramon were blasting him and whatnot, Mocha decided to take the opportunity to mess with Argus as well. She charged forward while the Arkadimon was hopefully distracted with his other foes. Rings of ice began to form around her weapon, and she swung out, sending two blades of ice towards each of the lumbering hulk's legs. Then, for good measure, she moved up close, then swung out her crescent blade towards one of Argus's legs while she was at it. After all, if the idiot was gonna sacrifice his defenses and charge in so recklessly, Mocha practically felt obligated to trip the bastard!
-Nanami uses her [La Pucelle] modify card to buff Cream's healing and buffing capabilities for 3 posts. - Cream uses her [Angel's Blessing] to buff Weston for 3 posts. It's supposed to buff attack, defense, and speed by 25%, but it's boosted by the card, and it's not exactly specific, so just... roll with it, I suppose. - Mocha uses the 3-cd move [Ice Blade Circus] to lash out at Argus's legs, then uses her second attack to deliver a 0-cd [Lunar Blades] to deal a bit of damage and hopefully trip the mega-level up before trampling squishy mages. - Coincidentally, I had almost finished this post yesterday, but I ate half a pizza, got super full and tired, and fell asleep. That's not really important information, but it's out there now. Abilities/Cards Used
