The sun had only been up for a short time as Kima emerged from her sleeping bag and began putting it away. Then something red near the tent flap sitting outside the tent caught her attention. Picking up her bag she made her way just outside surprised to see Takoda sitting outside the tent looking off in some direction. The Pumamon was aware of her presence and asked "How did you sleep, Kima?"
Figuring he had let himself out of the Xros Loader sometime after she went to sleep, Kima said "Fine enough. What are you staring at, Takoda?"
"I'm not staring at anything in particular. I just feel like something important is near. I don't know why since it feels more like instinctual than anything else." Takoda replied still staring causing Kima to look in the direction he was and only seeing a small mountain.
"Could that mountain have something special there?" Kima asked and Takoda mearly shrugged not having much more of an answer. Sitting down next to Takoda she then said "We can always check it out when Sylvia and Arata wake up. Maybe they will want to go to."

Arata suddenly descends from the sky carrying a bunch of meat apples and starts setting the fire back up. "Morning, Kima!" He says eagerly while waving, and prepping the apples to cook.
Sylvia, meanwhile, slowly bumbles out from the tent, her hair a mess and generally not looking that great. "...Erugh... Mornin..." She mumbles, dragging her bag behind her until she sits down near the firepit and brings out a hairbrush to set to work getting presentable. It's very clear she didn't sleep very well.
Arata, however, keeps working as a happy bee, sparking a flame with a flint and some scrapped metal. He then settles himself down to keep an eye on the apples as they roast... though he occasionally glances back at Sylvia while she brushes her hair. Very concerned about his disgruntled Nee-san.
"it is just a matter of time."
The girl grumbles to herself before her hair finally is presentable, and she cracks her neck. "...So. What's the plan then, General?" She asks, a little more life coming to her voice now that she's woken up a bit.
Arata's sudden appearace was surprising but at least Kima didn't jump at the Fanbeemon's sudden appearance and even waved back. Seeing Arata was prepping the apples to cook she brought out her Xros Loader and said "Upload Ballistamon." Blaster came forth from the Xros Loader with a brief yawn before seeing Arata working on prepping the food and went over to assist with the preparation.
Takoda noticed that Sylvia looked in rough shape and asked "What's wrong, Sylvia, did you not sleep very well last night?" Though not sure if she would give him an answer regarding her condition he couldn't say he didn't try.
Blaster, like Arata, seemed happy as could be as he continued to help before the sound of gentle music started coming from his speakers while he and Arata focused on the food. When Sylvia spoke to Kima, who was looking at Blaster and Arata when the former DJ started playing music from his speakers, she looked at the older girl before she said "Takoda mentioned he felt something important was near and it is coming from the direction of the nearby small mountain. I was thinking of checking it out after breakfast and you guys can come along, that is if you and Arata want to." Sure her last few words were uncertain but she was still trying the best she could.

"No. I was dreaming of... why I have the scars." She answers Takoda, glancing at Kima. But, Kima answers about sensing something on the mountain and she shrugs. "Kima, I'm just a soldier in this little army too. I've got nowhere else to be, and even if you ordered me to leave, I'm not exactly gonna leave you alone in this crazy world... Even if you have someone capable like Blaster-san to defend you." She stretches and produces her jacket from somewhere to don.
Arata just vibes to the music that Blaster is playing before asking, "Hey, do you have any human music? I've never really heard any before, and Nee-san was very keen on not staying in the human world after she met me and realized her Digivice can get her on the Trailmon." He rotates some of the apples around to get them an even coat of roast.
"Must of been pretty bad if the memory makes sleeping difficult. You don't have to explain where the scars came from if it makes you uncomfortable. After all we only recently met so it makes sense to have some secrets." Takoda said before turning his gaze back toward the mountain. It was as if it was calling to him but why?
"Makes sense. Even with Takoda and Blaster to help me this world is unknown to me." Kima said while Takoda smiled amused somewhat at Sylvia for forgetting he was fairly formidable in his own right. Though the group had been lucky so far but he would not let his guard down yet.
When Arata asked if Blaster had any human music he said "I have a little since my last job had access to Human World music." He then shut down the music he was playing before he began playing some relatively mellow songs from the Human World. He didn't want to enrage feral digimon by disrupting the whole forest after all.

"...Let's just say I stared Death in the face." She says drily before she pauses for a moment. "...Oh uh... Not to diminish you, Takoda. Blaster's just... mature adult, while you're still more like a kid. Regardless of power." She rubs the back of her head. Gods, she's bad at this.
She then looks away and blushes.
Suddenly, Arata declares the apples to be sufficiently roasted and hands them out to everybody on the associated stick, and happily starts munching away. "Nee-san... You're not very good with people, huh?"
"You don't need to call me out like that, Arata."
"Well, I mean... It's true though!"
"Yes, I know it's true, but you didn't need to say it! ...I'm better at letting my fists do the talking with other humans." Sylvia grumbles and bites into her apple. Mmhh, bacon.
"Well yeah... but now you have me around! We don't need to worry too much about you fighting!"
"...Yes you do, because I'm not just gonna sit on the side lines if I can help it."
"Facing death can be a traumatic experience so it explains how you had trouble sleeping." Takoda said solemly as he remembered the sounds from the night the dark one levelled the village he lived but didn't remember much else since he had been safely evacuated. He then said "The reason why I seem like a kid is because I spent most of my life living in the desert of the Western Flatlands. So me coming off as naive of most of the ways outside the desert makes sense." Takoda said not at all put off by Sylvia's statement. "Blaster came from Tenebrous where it is known for lots of crime so it makes sense he is more street smart as you humans would say." Sure Takoda wasn't wise in the way of many areas of the Digital World though he had a feeling he would learn much in his journey with Kima.
As the apples were handed out Takoda and Blaster thanked Arata and began eating as the tamer and partner interacted with one another. Kima slowly ate hers thinking of what Sylvia and Takoda had said about facing death wondering if she had as much strength to be able to stare death down like she had seen the older girl do. Even Takoda when they met was willing to risk his safety to retrieve her stolen necklace when a Gazimon took off with it.

Sylvia looks at Kima and smiles. "...Hey, General." She takes another loud bite out of her apple. "...Don't think about it too much. Nobody is ever prepared to face death for real, so nobody knows how they'll actually react... until it happens." She rubs the back of her head again. "...and I don't intend for you to need to face that for a long time yet."
Arata smiles and claps his little claws together. He's proud of his Nee-san for finding a friend. He honestly was expecting her to keep Kima at arm's length for far longer than she has. I mean, she still is holding back secrets, but she's not being cold to the girl, and that's what's important to Arata.
The bee then munches on his meat apple and finishes it in record time. Sylvia finishes hers off as well and moves to start breaking down the tent.
Kima smiled before she said "I guess you're right, Sylvia. I guess I'm overthinking things." Kima finished her meat apple shortly after everybody else.
Takoda, meanwhile, had stood up after finishing his and Blaster was putting out the fire. Seeing this Kima threw her backpack on and stood up herself looking at the mountain. Sure it was small but she had never gone mountain climbing before so it felt like quite the obstacle. Blaster, who was no longer playing music from his speakers, had put the fire out and had come up alongside Kima gently placing a hand on the teen's shoulder causing her to jump in fright before turning to face him. "Sorry, Kima, you and Takoda seemed lost in thought and keep looking at tha mountain. Is it because of what Takoda said?" Blaster asked as Kima took deep breaths to calm herself.
"Sorry I jumped it's just most that have snuck up on me have not been friendly." Kima said now calmer than before. The thought that someone would hurt someone as kind as Kima made Blaster furious but he kept his cool as the bullies that tormented her weren't there so she didn't have to worry about them until she got home.

Sylvia nods in abject sympathy for Kima, but now was the time for action. She puts her bag on as well, the tent nice and compact despite how large it is. Arata seems to have done a good job of making it collapsible. She sets it to dangle off the side of her strap. "Well General...? Shall we?" She smiles before looking at Arata. "Arata, scout ahead."
"Yes, Nee-san!" The bee buzzes his wings into action and he takes off into the sky, nyooming ahead to act as their scout and vanguard. He's happy to have something to do, and he takes his job seriously... plus, there's always the chance that Nee-san will get him another Fountain Brew. It was so good...
Sylvia, in the meantime, will fall in step in front of Kima at the very least. Well, sorta in front. More to the side and like, one step ahead of her. Protection, but not overshadowing.
Kima nodded and Arata flew ahead to scout. Takoda took up position on Kima's other side and Blaster remained at the rear not that the Ballistamon minded all that much. He knew he was more durable that everyone else because of his metal body so him taking the rear made sense. "Shame flight is one thing Ballistamon aren't known for." Blaster said with a hint of amusement as he gazed at the mountain. Sure he was half as heavy as typical Ballistamon but he was concerned that he was not suited for mountain climbing himself even though he would likely be handy in a rockslide.
The group made their way to the mountain and eventually reached there. Kima looked around for a spot that would be easy to scale before looking up at Arata before she called out "Hey, Arata, do you see a spot that would be good to begin climbing?" She had no doubt that a puma like Takoda would be able to scale the mountain fairly easily since he seemed similar to the Human World equivalent in other regards so far.

Arata buzzes around for a moment and then he picks a spot. "Over here, I think. It isn't too steep, so no need to crawl up it." He calls down, pointing to a rocky slope... It looks kinda like gravel piles in the Real World... So the footing will be a bit dicey but it is at least a means to climb up to another portion of the mountain.
Sylvia has never been more grateful that she wears combat boots. She nods. "Alright, Arata. Go ahead and keep looking for more ways for us to possibly get up. And an eye for trouble." She calls up. Arata salutes and flies off out of sight.
The older girl then heads over to where Arata pointed and starts walking up... Carefully adjusting her weight to disturb as little of the gravelly stone as she can while moving up. "...I don't like this much. What do you think we're gonna find around here?"
Kima watched Arata as he pointed out the rocky slope before she carefully followed up as well wobbling a bit but managing to catch her balance. Takoda with his natural feline grace was able to scramble up pretty easily but kept an eye on the two girls. Now it was Blaster's turn as he looked over the slope gently stepping on it his large bulk making it easy for him to maintain his balance. He was genuinely surprised only a few pieces of gravel were remotely disturbed by his weight indicating the path was tougher than it initially appeared to be.
"I know how you feel, Sylvia, I have never been mountain climbing before." she began before looking back at Blaster before she continued "And it seems Blaster isn't too certain about climbing this mountain either."
"Other than being a bit uncertain, I'm okay. Just didn't expect tha slope ta be this durable." Blaster said grateful this mountain decided to be a place in the Digital World that laughed at the humans understanding of physics. Maybe something about this mountain was anomalous in its nature. Or maybe the mountain was just more durable than it looked. Blaster shook his head at the absurdity of trying to make sense of a strange world like this one.

Sylvia keeps climbing up until she crests a ridge, a firm solid rock ridge... just about big enough for Blaster to keep climbing with them if he doesn't mind scuffing up the armor on his arm a bit. She helps Kima up in the meantime while Arata suddenly returns.
"I think further up is a good way." He points up along the ridge which kinda spirals around the mountain a little. "...Like... it's at least got vines? Or something." The bee rubs his head before Sylvia nods. "Thank you, Arata."
"You're welcome, Nee-san!" He then flies back to help guide the group up along the ridge to the wall he was talking about.
On arrival, they see... cables cris-cross the rocky surface, and Sylvia balks a bit. "...I... I don't trust this, Arata... These look like electrical cables." She pokes one. "Feels like it too. But I can't tell if they're live."

Another ridge and Kima was grateful for Sylvia's help in climbing up after Takoda gave her a boost by letting her climb on his back. He then climbed up himself he could feel it it. What ever was here wasn't much farther. As for Blaster, he looked at the ridge before grabbing hold and hoisting himself up. Sure his armor was scuffed but that could be tended to later.
Then Arata mentioned there were vines ahead and the group followed Arata and soon arrived at the wall which was not covered in vines but cables of some kind. Kima looked at the set up confused as to why such things would be on a mountain of all places. When Sylvia voiced her concerns regarding the cables, Blaster carefully went up to the wall and looked at the cables before taking a firm hold of them and nothing happened. "Huh, it seems these cables haven't had a shred of power in them for many years." Blaster said as he felt eyes on him. "I'm a machine digimon remember. Machine digimon tend to have a knack for telling if things like this don't work even if they can't fix them." He released the cable when he finished talking.
"Kima perhaps you should call Blaster and I into your Xros Loader until you and Sylvia get up there since it would take awhile for the two of us to go around." Takoda said and Kima nodded before the two of them vanished within her digivice. Looking at the cables she reached out and grabbed one before beginning to climb. This was where her being fairly fit for her small size came in handy as she scaled the wall having a feeling Sylvia would follow.
When she reached the top of the wall she brought Takoda and Blaster out of the Xros Loader and Takoda could feel it stronger than before as he began walking onward soon leading the group to what looked like some ruins built into the mountain itself.
