A Quiet Day for Ruminating [Open]

As Kazumi and Koko enter the shrine, Ishi is sweeping just in front of the central pagoda. She looks up after a brief moment and bows deeply. "Welcome to Fukuji Shrine. How may I be of assistance?" The seemingly human girl asks, holding her bow for a while.

While up on the spire, the still transparent figure raises an eyebrow. "...Tamer." She mutters with a soft sigh, keeping her voice low so as to not draw attention to herself. She hops down off the spire to alight on a nearby wall parapet, and pads her way closer to listen in... Careful to keep her tail from swishing too loudly. After all, dog Digimon have a tendency to have sharp hearing.

But her fur stands on end just a little bit. She doesn't like dog Digimon. She briefly considers why, and has a vague recollection that kitsune are afraid of dogs. Why would that affect her still? Then again, she also likes tofu... She rolls her eyes. What data makes up Digimon make them weird, she decides.

"Ah, you are a Tamer then." Ishi says, her face not really betraying any thought of offense. "...Yes, there is another Digimon here. My Madame is the kami of this shrine." She smiles a little and motions towards a building behind the pagoda. "Would you and your partners like to have some tea?" Ishi asks, offering a warmer smile now.

"Tsk. Of course you just call us out. I do have to admit, despite your shyness, you've got some nerve..." Kana murmurs to herself. But upon hearing Ishi offer them tea, Kana shakes her head and smiles. That Gotsumon is too welcoming sometimes. Oh well. Kana starts padding her way along the wall towards the residential building... Making a point to noticably open the door before slipping inside and closing it. Might as well show Kazumi and her active partner that yes, there IS in fact someone else around.

But it's also an excuse to keep some distance between her and a dog.

"I do not claim to understand why my Madame does or does not do the things she does. I am just her humble shrine maiden." Ishi says with a smile. "I am Ishi."

The Gotsumon opens the door to the residential building, and reveals a lovely little setup with a traditional kneeling table, cushions, and a window in the back with curtains faintly rustling in an unseen breeze. And Koko at least, would notice that one of the cushion is depressed slightly in the dim light.

"Madame, it is rude to hide from your guests."

A soft sigh, and the soft yellow fur of a Renamon kneeling in front of the table in profile to Kazumi and Koko, become visible as the lights are flicked on by Ishi. "Greetings, human... and partners." She says, glancing at the human. "...I don't suppose you've come to request my assistance, given you have Digimon of your own?" 

"Madame!" Ishi says in a firm tone, before she moves and heads towards the kitchen to prepare tea... A soft smile on her lips. Perhaps this will be good for her mistress. Actual friends.

"...Apologies. I've been bored, so I'm a bit... terse. Please, sit. And Realize all of your partners, if you would please." The Renamon motions with an open palm around the table, indicating that everyone may sit. Her tail sways for a moment before settling around her, and resting on her lap.

"Quite the army you have." She says with a smile, looking over each of them in kind. ...But to any of them that pay any level of attention or empathetic ability, they will sense that despite her outward confidence, she is now perturbed and feeling outmatched. But, she keeps up appearances well enough.

Then Vemmon points out how fitting it is for a Renamon to be a kami of a shrine, and she smiles. "...That is, in part, why I chose to take the shrine for myself when I arrived in the human world. I didn't exactly... hm... fit in, in the Digital." She gingerly flicks the tip of her tail. "I am not surprised you haven't noticed my activity. I try to be subtle."

"I am Hakanai, Kami of Vengeance. Humans come to me to request aid in whatever petty squabbles they have, and if I deem it worth my attention, I fulfill their request in my own way." A brief pause. "You may call me Kana."

Though the word is interesting as her name of choice... Ephemeral, which fits her ability to be invisible... but also Vain.


While Kana speaks though, Ishi appears with enough cups for everybody, including customized ones for Digimon without easy hand use, and hands them out to everybody. She then settles on a cushion immediately to Kana's right and drops her holosuit, revealing herself to be a Gotsumon. 

"Thank you, Ishi."

"Of course, Madame."

She at least attempts to deflect as Shadow calls her out. "There's three canines among you, and... it seems I take after the mythological origin of the kitsune rather closely." She explains, not exactly lying, but holding back the real answer. But Shadow can tell that she knows lying outright is useless.

She nods in acknowledgment of the Hudiemon, a soft smile on her lips. "Thank you. I resonated with it while I explored human texts in preparation for taking up my position." She then settles her gaze on Kazumi and sips her tea gently. "So, have you come to determine if I'm to be sent back then? I won't lie. I do interfere with humans, though I do not cause lasting physical harm to them. ...Professional humiliation, perhaps directly or indirectly leading to them losing standing. But no physical harm." She says, plainly.

"Madame, are you sure you-" The Gotsumon begins to protest, but Kana raises a finger to shush her.

"Considering how outnumbered I am, Ishi, I am not going to make it harder than I need to." She smiles, never letting her gaze leave Kazumi, blue eyes shimmering gently.

Her mask slips and she starts to giggle a little. "...Well, yes, it is in part that. Though it's less that I'm afraid so much as disconcerted." She is glad nobody else is going to pry further into the issue, and is pleasantly surprised by the respect afforded to her so willingly. She didn't even need to make a comment about it.

"Good. Then perhaps I can treat you all to dinner. I enjoy cooking as well... and there is no reason to be discourteous to my guests." She sips on her tea again.

Ishi was greatly relieved, and she makes no effort to hide that fact from her face as she partakes in her own tea. "If you do, Madame, please keep in mind that most prefer fully edible ingredients?" She says with a hint of humor in her voice.

Kana seems to roll her eyes at that comment, and feels no need to elaborate on why that would need to be said. The Gotsumon simply giggles.
