"Oh that explains things then. It is easy to forget many beings have different dietary preferences." Lalamon said using her short arms to pick up the tea once again and begin sipping it.
"I never had to worry since my partners seem to enjoy a wide variety of foods from both this world and the Digital world. Makes trying different foods from other cultures more fun when others can enjoy it too." Kazumi said a bit concerned about the food containing the inedible things Ishi mentioned but decided to keep it to herself as it was likely the others had similar concerns.
Keeping her voice equally low, Kazumi said "Sounds like not all humans in the know can readily accept that she is both a kami and a digimon. We can and we will continue to show her the respect she deserves as one of her station." Kazumi at some level wondered if other digimon were filling similar roles in various parts of the Human World. It was possible given that digimon were beings gifted with great power and whether that was a good thing or not was often up to others to interpret for themselves.

Ishi giggles a little more before nodding. "Thank you again." She then finishes her tea. "If it helps though, when she makes coffee, she sticks to normal coffee ingredients. I've heard rumors that Alphamon makes coffee with salmon roe and seaweed..." The Gotsumon sudders, the stone making her up clattering together as she does so.
And suddenly, the sound of cooking, and the SMELLS. Despite the mentioned tastes in inedible ingredients, it seems that Kana CAN in fact cook, because the smell that could be attributed to a full staffed kitchen at a restaurant! And the faintest sound of Kana humming can be heard as well.
Ishi nods with happiness. This was good. "...Have there been any major events in the Digital World that we might need to know, by any chance?" She asks, setting her cup down now and resting her hands in her lap. "We... don't really leave this area often."

When the Alphamon's coffee was mentioned all others in the room shuddered and made various disgusted faces at the thought of such coffee. Finally Dorulumon spoke up and said "That...That's just wrong. There are many things that should never be in coffee." Everyone else in Kazumi's group looked as if they were in full agreement in regards to Dorulumon's words.
Soon various sounds not to mention smells of what smelled like what most would consider as normal food made the group hopeful as it seemed that Kana-sama could indeed cook. "No major events I can think of other than the typical struggles of good versus evil. Then again my army and I have had our hands full so to speak when occasionally dealing with a Snatchmon tried to grow an army for conquest as Vemmon was meant to be one of his soldiers but that didn't pan out according to his plans as you can see. So far we've had multiple encounters with Snatchmon's forces and are still not able to confront him as he can digivolve to at least mega possibly even super mega." Kazumi said doubting her info was useful but it was all she knew.

"At least another apocalypse hasn't happened yet." Ishi says with a smile. She was glad that everyone agreed with her coffee statement. Yeah, it was vile. But regardless, as they talk, Kana comes out with a large tray containing multiple bowls, including two large bowls of ramen!
She sets it on the table. "This one is spicy, the other one is not. Take your pick." Kana says with a smile as she picks up a bowl for herself, while Ishi does the same, and both go for the spicy ramen.
Utensils for everyone are also provided, be they American forks or chopsticks. Because for all the pride she exudes, she at least seems to be understanding of choice. She sets her bowl down after serving herself, and then bows her head for a moment. "Enjoy." She smiles a bit.
Ishi does the same and then starts to eat, humming gently.

Kazumi and her army nodded in agreement when Ishi said "At least another apocalypse hasn't happened yet." Then Kana returned with a tray with and the most interesting thing was the two large bowls of ramen. One of the ramen bowls were spicy and the other was not but that was rarely a problem as Kazumi's group didn't seem to be picky eaters. Various rumbles of hungry bellies became known to Kazumi as she knew how much her group enjoyed food of many kinds.
The group waited politely as Kana served herself before the group began doing the same. Kazumi, Vemmon, Hudiemon, Yuki, Shadow, and Lalamon had taken chopsticks though how Vemmon and Lalamon could wield them was something Kazumi still couldn't understand yet she didn't question oddities like these pertaining to her partners anymore. Meanwhile since Dorulumon and Koko didn't have hands they would just eat like most Human World quadrupeds. Following Kana and Ishi's leads the group bowed before beginning to eat.

Kana looks over the group in a theoretically subtle fashion as she eats, tail swaying behind her gently. "...Well, I have to say, I am rather grateful that you've stopped by. It has alleviated the boredom." She bows her head a little. "Thank you." She smiles warmly, and Ishi seems to beam with pride for her mistress. The Gotsumon then serves herself up another bowl.
"You and your partners are always welcome here. Should you require a shelter for any reason, the door is always open." Kana continues. "And, even if it were not already my position, if you ever require assistance, particularly of the revenge kind... I will answer should you call." The Renamon exudes an aura of satisfaction, if smug. She then finishes off her bowl and sets it down, resting her chopsticks atop it.
Ishi nods gently. "We have at least a few guest rooms that I keep maintained, so room and board is rarely an issue." the maiden adds.

"Believe me I know how easy it is to become bored by remaining in the same place, Kana-sama." Dorulumon said after he had finished his food. Living in one place between trips to the Digital World was still strange for him as he was still an explorer at heart.
"If you and Ishi are ever feeling bored I can give you our contact info and you two could visit our place for dinner or even adventure in the Digital World with us." Kazumi said to the kami with a warm smile. "I know you said you don't fit in in the Digital World but we have been to some nice places. As for needing help with vengence matters we will all keep you in mind."
"Kana-sama, I have a question." Hudiemon began before she asked "If you've been getting bored, why don't you invite some friends over to hang out with them."

Ishi's eyes widen a little and she shakes her head and waves her hands in a cross in front of her. "N-No thanks, I'll stay here." Ishi says, before clearing her throat and attempting to regain her composure.
Kana giggles gently. "...While I might take you up on that offer of a Digital World adventure, Ishi will have to stay to care for the shrine." She then shrugs. "...I do need to see if I can't get some more power though. It'd be... easier." She adjusts her head just a little so nobody can see her lips drawing to a line as she considers.
And then Hudiemon asks about friends. Kana blushes a bit. "...Ishi is the only friend I have." She finally admits. "I've had employers, clients, the occasional true worshipper. But Ishi is the only friend." She says, tail swaying a bit faster in a small sign of anxiety.

"Y-Yeah I can see how becoming a little stronger can have its uses b-both in and out of battle." Vemmon said in regards to one of Kana's thoughts. Ishi seemed like she was needed to care for the shrine though.
Hearing that Ishi was Kana's only friend Hudiemon smiled and said "While getting stronger this could also be a chance for you to make many friends as well, Kana-sama. You can be a kami and have many friends since they also help stave off boredom." Seeing that Kana looked anxious the normally somewhat ditzy digimon that Hudiemon was seemed to be suddenly more aware of cues. Maybe she picked such a trait up from some of the others. "Kana-sama, if I made you look so anxious I'm sorry. I was just trying to ask an innocent question and if I knew that would make you feel uneasy then I would of thought before I spoke." Hudiemon said worriedly before staring at her now empty bowl of food feeling as if she caused some problem. Everyone else remained silent not knowing what to say.

"Oh, no, no, hardly." Kana blinks in mild surprise and shakes her head. "Absolutely not, you have done or said nothing wrong." She smiles as warmly as she can and her ears fold down. "I just hold myself to a higher standard, and never really considered friends to be something I require. And I'm just not sure how to handle these feelings is all."
She then nods gently. "...Perhaps I will take you up on a quick adventure after all. If only so I might try to understand your interactions a bit more, and perhaps understand humans more as a consequence." She adds with a giggle. "Ishi, you'll be okay on your own for a little while, yes?"
"Yes, Madame. I can tend to my rock gardens while you are gone."
"Excellent." The Renamon grins. "Do you have a place to stay in the Human World, in which case we can meet at the train station? Or would you like to go ahead and stay here for the night?"

Hudiemon looked up facing Kana looking relieved that she hadn't caused the kami her anxiety so it was likely rooted in a different cause. "You remind me of Yuki, Shadow, and Dorulumon. They didn't seem to have many friends before they met Kazumi either." Hudiemon said and Shadow and Dorulumon didn't say anything about the humanoid butterfly's observations.
"It wasn't that I was against having friends but my warrior training made that difficult during my previous lives. Crossing paths with Kazumi and Vemmon in my last life oddly led me to later join her army when we next met in this form." Yuki said gently correcting Hudiemon which didn't bother the winged digimon one bit.
"We all live at my apartment but, if you don't mind us staying here overnight, we can stay in the guest rooms and head for the Trailmon tomorrow." Kazumi said. Staying the night would be easier if alright with the kami and then they all could head out together.

Her attention snaps to the strange Agumon. "...You are going to have to tell me the story at some point." She says, deeply curious. "The threads of fate and reincarnation intrigue me greatly." She then nods as she rises. "Of course. Ishi will show you to the guest rooms. Everyone may have one, unless you prefer the Digivice."
Ishi rises and bows to everyone before walking over to the right of the door, opposite of the way to the kitchen, and slides open the paper door. She then patiently waits to show everyone to a room who would like one.
"Have a good rest, everyone. We will leave when you are ready." Kana says, before giving a half-bow of her own... and then she flicks herself out of sight. Well, sort of. Since the room is still well-lit, the faint hologram shimmer of her form can be seen as she exits the building.

Yuki smiled at Kana and said "I would love to tell you the whole tale some time, my lady. Digimon reincarnation is indeed a fascinating subject that I've grown fond of as I've lived four previous lives before this current one."
While the digimon didn't mind the Xros Loader they weren't against sleeping in rooms especially since they were being offered. Ishi got up to lead them and Kazumi and her army rose to their feet to follow the Gotsumon. Kazumi was the last one to catch up and she turned seeing Kana offer a short bow which Kazumi returned before the fox kami became mostly invisible. Before Kana left, Kazumi said "You have a good night too, Kana-sama." As soon as Kana left Kazumi moved to catch up with the others soon trotting up alongside Vemmon.
"W-Where did you go, Kazumi?" Vemmon asked out of curiosity not fear as he knew his general was safe.
"I was only wishing the kami a good night before catching up with you guys." Kazumi replied honestly and Vemmon nodded satisfied with the answer. If he and the others weren't so excited about having rooms they would of honestly done the same so he didn't blame her one bit.

Ishi smiles as she shows each of the members to a room. They're pretty normal, human styled rooms in traditional Japanese style. Very cozy, very warm, very snug. She bids each member of the army good night with a deep bow.
When Kazumi and Vemmon are taken to their room, however, Ishi rubs the back of her head. "...Do be careful. I see you have lots of combinations available to you, but Madame does not. ...She's... still a Rookie, and not even with a Digimental. So if you get into trouble, please, keep her safe even if you must hurt her pride to do so." Ishi asks of the human, bowing even deeper than she usually does.
"...If you feel bad about having to do such a thing, she'll forgive you quickly if you bring her fried tofu. Just a suggestion." Ishi then adds with a soft giggle, without rising from her bow.

After being shown to some nice rooms most of Kazumi's army, after being wished goodnight by Ishi, bowed politely before wishing her goodnight in return. Then all but Kazumi and Vemmon went into the various rooms leaving their general and Vemmon still with Ishi.
"D-Don't worry, Ishi, we don't go out of our way to find trouble. H-However if it happens we'll watch out for her and d-do our best to keep her safe. It's t-the least we can do to thank her for her hospitality." Vemmon said his soft spoken voice a calming one and would likely put Ishi a bit more at ease.
"I'm sure we can find some fried tofu if it comes to that. Yuki can reach nearby towns real fast if we need to make such a run." Kazumi said with a smile. "Just the same we'll try to not upset her. Maybe she'll even find a digimental on her trip. Who knows?"
