"So... What exactly did you need me out here for?" The boy with cyan hair asked, sounding more annoyed than anything else. Probably something he should have asked earlier, but his sister made it sound like it was important, so he tried to be patient about it. Unfortunately, Naoki Nijimura was just the worst, and his patience ran thin fairly quickly.
Honoka kept walking for a little bit longer, before looking around nervously. It was kind of hard to tell with the way these hills were shaped, but there didn't seem to be anyone nearby, right? They could have some privacy to cause all kinds of ruckus here. So she stopped, turned around to face her brother, and held out her D-Tector. "This," She stated, as if that would explain everything.
Naoki squinted in contemplation for a second before shrugging. "Fascinating. You're holding your Digital thingy."
Honoka let out a sigh and rolled her eyes before telling her brother, "Naoki, pull out yours and transform! You're still new to this Digimon thing, and I still need to get stronger! So let's train together!"
Naoki pulled out his own D-Tector, looked at it for a moment, looked back at his sister, and then put it back in his pocket. "I'll pass. I don't feel like beating up my little sister. 'Sides, If we fought, I'd get in a bunch more trouble for giving you a black eye than you would get for giving me one."
"You... Like that'd happen, idiot!" Honoka countered. "We'd be in Digimon form, so we'd barely take any damage! And... don't just assume that you'd automatically win! I've already been in a few fights already! The fights I've been in were probably way more intense than the pointless little scuffles that you get yourself into!"
"Is that so?" Naoki asked, yawning. "Well then... you probably don't need help from someone who gets into 'pointless little scuffles'. So we don't have to fight... can we go home now?"
"What the... If you wanted to go back home, why did you follow me out here in the first place!?"
"Because I had nothing better to do, and my needy little sister was all like, 'I need youw hewp in the Digital World, big bwother! Won't you hewp me out, pwetty pwease with a chewwy on top uwu?'"
"Oh my god, who talks like that?!" Honoka practically shrieked in outrage. "And if you have nothing better to do, just help me out already!"
"Nah. You can just like... shadow box or something. I'll be over here on the side, cheering you on," Naoki lied down on his side, putting his arm up for a moment and unenthusiastically muttered, "You can do this, baby sis..." before promptly falling asleep on the grassy hilltop.

Honoka's Brother wasn't the only one who would've been keen on taking a nap on the grassy hill, well for him not on top of the hill but right below where the others were. It was Clayton who was now sitting in a meditation stance, apparently it was supposed to help with his spirit thing, at least that was what he was assured by his talking sword ally and talking pirate in his head..... Alright probably not the best advice but he was willing to do anything at this point.
Though if it would help or not he would have no idea given he fell asleep while doing it, eyes closed and hands on his knees. Face drooping down a bit going lower down to the ground till suddenly he was awoken by some arguing and yelling of the outrage variety coming from the hill above him. Slowly opening his eyes Clayton yawned as he slowly got up, stretching his arms out to the sky for a few moment, before scratching the side of his head hearing that oh so familiar voice in his head.
'Did yee have a good rest there lad?' The pirate voice asked, yup having a talking pirate in your head will absolutely never, ever be normal no matter how many times he hears it.
"I wasn't sleeping, just meditating. Really, uhh. Deep focus there for a few moments." He quickly responded as he turned around, looking for the source of the noise. Eventually his eyes wandered over to a pair on one of the hilltops, well best go see what that was all about. "Eh, Heya. Is everything alright?" The teen asked with a small wave as he walked up a bit, given this was the digital world it was sorta nice to encounter humans instead of digimon a few times.

Clayton's appearance had caught Honoka completely by surprise as she was distracted bickering with her near-asleep brother. She let out a quick scream before managing to stifle it as he appeared, while the boy laying in the grass besides her sat up, annoyed. "It's just some dude. What the hell are you screeching about?" He asked, sounding more annoyed than anything else.
"It's... nothing," Honoka answered, turning over to the newcomer, giving him a bow of apology. "Forgive me for being so surprised. I hope I didn't offend you!"
Naoki looked over from his sister towards the dude approaching them. "Yo. Everything's fine over here. My baby sis is just being a drama queen. You know how it is."
"Like you have any room to talk!" Honoka shot back angrily, before dispersing her rage and facing the young stranger before them with a smile. "I'm sorry if we were disturbing you, though! I promise that we'll try to stay out of your way of... whatever it is you were doing!"
Naoki rolled his eyes, then an evil grin appeared on his face as he faced the stranger yet again. "Yo, Mr. Man, maybe there is a way you can help us! My baby sis has been begging for someone to give her a pounding, you know? Like, slap her around and stuff. She asked me to do it, but seeing as we're family and all..."
"Oh, my god! Do not phrase it like that!" Honoka interrupted, her face bright red from embarrassment and seething fury. She resisted the urge to kick her brother rolling down the hill, though she'd more than likely just hurt her foot over his thick skull. She instead decided to turn towards the stranger and clear things up. "My disgusting, repulsive, idiot brother is meaning that I was looking to train my spirits and spar with him!" She held up her D-Tector Digivice for emphasis. |

Clayton had to admit, of the responses he assumed he would get by asking what was wrong. Screaming was not one of them. Taken a bit aback by that he took a step backwards evidently shocked. "Err, I'm sorry?" He didn't know exactly what he was apologizing for, was he really that scary?
"It's no worries, just caught me off guard that's all. Names Clayton, nice to meet you." Introductions were nice, when the guy sitting down mentioned him knowing how it is Clayton let out a small laugh and nodded. "Sorta I suppose, I have a sister myself." Though if she was truly being a drama queen or not... Clayton had absolutely no idea considering he just arrived.
"Like I said no worries, I was just down the hill a bit uhh. Meditating?" Right as Clayton said that the voice popped up in his mind once more.
'Sleeping.' Clayton muttered a quick shut up in his head before focusing back on what they were talking about, giving a pounding. Which just made the teens eyes go a bit wide not exactly sure how to respond to that except for a red face and looking away.
"Uhh, yeah. Phrasing." Now Clayton regretted agreeing with him before, he definitely didn't know what it was like. Thankfully that mess was quickly cleared up by his sister who held up her D-tector in front of him, mentioning training spirits. "Training? Yeah sure I'd be up for that. I need to do some myself, just got this spirit so I'm not that used to it yet." Clayton's embarrassment died down as he decided to move on entirely from that and focus on this now, get that entire thing out of his head. Reaching in his pocket he pulled out his own D-tector with a smile.

The fact that the guy didn't excuse himself away awkwardly five minutes after meeting the siblings was a good sign, as far as Honoka was concerned. She couldn't blame anyone who wanted to be literally anywhere else than in the presence of Naoki and Honoka when they were in the same room.
"And I'm Honoka. Nijimura Honoka. And over there is my brother, Naoki," She gestured over towards her brother, laying on his side and giving Clayton a quick wave.
And not only that, Clayton was a spirit-user, and was looking to get some combat experience with his new spirit as well? All of that seemed a little too good to be true, but Honoka supposed she shouldn't let this opportunity go to waste.
"There you go! You can punch and kick this stranger while he beats the crap out of you, and I'll just stay right here and..." He let out a yawn. "Man... this grass is hella soft and comfy... I wonder if it's a Digital World thing, or something..."
And while Naoki was marveling at the wonder of... grass... Honoka smiled as Clayton seemed receptive to her brother's half-assed request. "Thank you so much, and... please take care of me!" She gave a polite bow, then held out her D-Tector. She had to think of which spirit she wanted to use, though... In a terrain like this, just about anyone would do. But having the open skies around would mean...
Fine... I was getting antsy all cooped up in your head, anyways... A voice in Honoka's head muttered, nearly startling the girl. She bet Clayton didn't have to deal with voices in his head popping up at inopportune times or constantly criticizing her.
So channeling the spirit of Lulu, one of her three fairy spirits, she surrounded herself with the digital shell of a Kazemon, her wings emitting a bright, kaleidoscopic light as her wings seemed to let off a glitter that seemed to give off a light of every color all at once.
And though Honoka found her appearance in this form to be a little on the embarrassing side, she kept a straight face as she said, "I guess... we can start any time you're ready..."

Honoka and Naoki, alright got those names memorized. Clayton gave a small wave back before focusing back on the task at hand, which honestly was quite the coincidence but hey who was he to judge given his accidental meet ups since getting this whole spirit tamer thing going. "Alright you do that, though I can't say if I'll be a good opponent or not I'll give it my best shot."
Clayton held his D-tector up as well looking down at the spirit of water on the screen. 'I must warn ya boy, my powers might not be quite as effective on land as they would be at sea. Don't you even think about summoning the dreadnaught out here in the field, she has been through enough without you breaking it on a hill or this young girls head!' The pirate reminded, Clayton just rolled his eyes muttered 'of course' under his breath, hopefully Honoka didn't have to deal with voices in her head constantly criticizing her.
"Lets go Captain." Clayton channeled the spirit of water becoming quickly replaced with his Captain Hookmon spirit, slamming the massive anchor onto the ground with a smile. "Alright then. Here we go." Clayton's eyes went a bit wide as he heard himself, apparently he wasn't ready for the sudden voice change as well. "Well uhh, that's pretty jarring. Ignoring that though How bout you take the first swing?" Ladies first and all that probably.

H onoka watched as Clayton had transformed into... a pirate, changing voices and all. "That's... A new one for me..." Honoka stated, her voice barely any different despite being in a completely different body. How strange. She had never thought about that kind of stuff before. Regardless, that wasn't the important part right now!
Clayton had offered Honoka the first move, putting a big anchor down onto the ground. She had expected him to make the first move, but apparently he was being quite the gentleman. Well, Honoka supposed she should just take him up on his offer. Honoka took a breath and thought about her options.
As her rather unarmored form implied, she wasn't able to take a lot of hits in this form, but she was pretty quick. So it was a matter of moving around in tricksy ways rather than rushing in. And her attacks weren't very powerful in this form, either, so trading blows wasn't particularly favorable.
Well, Honoka was quick, so she might as well use that to her advantage! Honoka moved in at full speed, a rather foolhardy approach, but she wanted to know how her opponent would react. Honoka would close the distance between them in an instant, flying just inches above the ground like it were nothing.
Honoka wasn't exactly a fighter, though, and while she was the athletic type, gymnastics didn't exactly have an ass-kicking routine. Thankfully, Honoka wasn't alone, and her spirit's instincts could make up for that! So the Kazemon took over for the offense!
Despite the Kazemon's speed, it was ultimately Honoka who approached, so even if he were slowed, Clayton would have time to react and counter whatever they threw at him. So, Honoka and Lulu spun around at the last second, both to make a harder target of herself, and to mix up the timing of her attack, and threw a kick right towards the Hookmon's face.
- Honoka runs forward with a basic attack. That's it. But Honoka's basic attack strength is doubled, so it's basically a 0-CD attack.
Relevant Abilities Reckless Rainbow - Passive Skill. Honoka gains a 50% speed boost and a 20% drop to her defenses.
Prismatic Strike - Passive Skill. Honoka's basic attacks deal the equivalent of a 0-post cooldown ability.

Clayton had to admit he did expect her to be faster than him, this coat he was wearing and the weapons he had didn't exactly spell out speed advantage, so he figured he lost that game the moment her form was revealed. What he didn't expect was for her to be that fast coming up on him in almost an instance, maybe he was just more used to a rookie level scale in power, but it still caught him a bit off guard. What he lacked in speed though he figured he'd more than make up for in the endurance department She was fast, but he could still follow her movements, no doubt thanks to the spirits influence he felt lingering. Instead of countering though Clayton raised up the anchor on his arm to deflect the blow away from his body, also to probably hurt her foot a bit considering it was made of metal. Though instead of attacking where he thought she was going to she suddenly flipped and aimed an attack right at his face, pulling the anchor upwards a bit more to try and block some of the attack, it was hard to match her speed. Still he couldn't avoid the brunt of the attack getting knocked backwards from the force of the kick, a little too far backwards for the attack really considering he did just make an attempt to block some of the damage, even if foot definitely came into contact with face on that regard. Clayton laid on the ground for a moment sprawled out before quickly lifting up his leg that had a pretty obvious gun on it, boot moving away as to not get blown away and firing a decently powerful shot Honoka while he used the anchor to brace himself and stand back up. Clayton took a moment to rub his face before focusing back on the fight, he didn't know if that attack would've hit or not so best stay on guard.

Whatever Clayton was planning to do didn't seem to work, as Honoka managed to get through his defenses and land a blow, surprising even herself. As she did so, the colorful aura surrounding her brightened a little, as the red light seemed to intensify somewhat. But that was probably nothing, and Clayton should totally ignore that! She felt a surge of smug confidence well up within her. Was this her own, or was it Lulu's influence spreading even further? Even so, Honoka had expected her their maneuver to go rather poorly, as-
Honoka, you idiot! Look out! She heard Lulu shout within her head as she was bombarded with a surprise leg blast. Taken by surprise like that, she didn't have enough time to dodge or counter, despite her quick movement. All she could to was cover whatever counted as a vital area for a Digimon and hope it didn't hit anything too necessary. She threw her arms in front of her to dampen the blow however she could as the blast hit her.
Honoka let out a scream as she spiraled through the air, before regaining control of herself fifteen or twenty feet away. That... she didn't want to feel that again!
Stop messing around and defend yourself, dammit! Her spirit lectured her. You're not the only one getting hurt here!
Honoka nodded, concentrating for a second while focusing on all the colors around her, and the feeling of the wind. All of a sudden, things seemed to become a lot clearer for her, as everything around her seemed to slow down. Honoka flew in Clayton's direction, yet ascending as she did so. Once she got above him, she plummeted down, her heel pointed directly towards the CaptainHookmon, as she fell, she lifted her other leg in the opposite direction, in what looked like a most painful position. Yet, the Kazemon's body was flexible enough to pull it off, however odd that it looked.
Honoka would try to crash down on her opponent with her initial kick, then, as a second blow, Honoka would attempt to drop her other leg down for twice the pain!
- Honoka's attack hit, so she gains a Rainbow Counter, courtesy of her Vivid Aura passive. It doesn't do anything right now, but it exists!
- Honoka takes a direct hit from Clay's Drop Fire, and activates her Kaleidoscope Rush buff, letting her attack twice per post now!
- Honoka uses that extra attack to make a free basic attack towards Clay, then follows it up by triggering her Iridescent Barrage passive, allowing her to attack again!

[RU-2] Vivid Aura - Passive Skill. Whenever Honoka successfully hits an enemy with a basic attack, her body gains a faint aura of color as she gains a Rainbow Counter. She can gain 3 Rainbow Counters every 2 turns. Upon gathering 6 Rainbow Counters, an intense surge of rainbow light surges from Honoka's body, doubling her speed, attack, defense, and overall combat ability for three posts. Afterwards, Honoka is stunned from exhaustion for 1 post, and cannot gain Rainbow Counters for the remainder of the thread.
Iridescent Barrage - Passive Skill. Honoka can make one additional basic attack. 2-post cooldown.
Kaleidoscope Rush - Honoka surrounds herself in a rainbow aura that greatly increases her attack speed. For the next 3 posts, Honoka can make one extra attack per post. 3-post cooldown.

Clayton rubbed his face for a moment shaking off the damage, thankfully his attack did manage to hit. Though the way Honoka screamed after getting hit did make him feel a bit bad. However, the thought did occur that she did kick him in the face. Before he could question the relative relation between which was worse, he quickly snapped himself back into the fight deciding it was probably best to keep his eye on his opponent holding his anchor upward a bit taking a steady breath. While she concentrated Clayton realized how quiet it was at the moment, did the captain not have any input to say about the match? Clayton could still feel his presence, even more so than before but it was more focused now. Maybe it was because of the spirit evolution? Shaking it off Clayton decided this wasn't the best time to think about that. Raising his anchor up as the Kazemon plummeted towards him Clayton would have more than enough time to block the bulk of the hit with the anchor feeling the weight of the kick push him further into the ground. His stance didn't bulge though, however with the second kick things changed a bit forcing Clay to get knocked back a bit of distance away. However, this was probably a better position for him, Lowering the Anchor Clayton quickly raised up his gun and started firing a three-round volley towards the Kazemon from his firearm, hit or miss after a moment the bullets would explode and scatter making them that much harder to dodge, hopefully Clayton hasn't really had any experience with this happening, but he hoped so. With her attack not going nearly as well as she had hoped, Honoka felt a little bit of frustration. Her attacks managed to knock her sparring partner off of his stance but did little else. And then he began to counter with his own attack, firing off a trio of shots right towards her.
If she allowed her sparring partner to keep any sort of distance, then this little bout of hers was going to get even more frustrating. In this form, Honoka didn't have a way of fighting from a distance. She would have to stay close! Luckily, she was fast enough to close the distance on most opponents.
And while she may not have any way to attack from a distance, it didn't mean that she didn't have ways of dealing with ranged enemies! As the shots neared the human girl-turned-digital fairy, a ribbon of every color imaginable flew from her hand as she twirled it around her body. The ribbon collided with Clayton's attacks, causing them to explode and scatter... straight towards Clayton himself!
But that wasn't it for Honoka! With Clayton having to deal with his own attack, he'd hopefully be distracted enough for Honoka to dive right into her sparring partner at full speed, using the momentum of her rush to drive her fist straight into her opponent's... wherever it looked like it would hurt the most!
- Honoka uses her Rainbow Ribbon to reflect Clayton's Rapid Fire Blitz, then use her bonus attack to deliver another passive-boosted basic attack thanks to her active buff ability.
Rainbow Ribbon - Honoka summons a long ribbon of multi-colored energy and spins in place, deflecting an enemy attack equal to her level. 4-Post Cooldown

Clayton felt the shots from his gun recoil his arm, he had never fired a gun before now that he thought about it, but he seemed to be doing well enough. Considering most of her attacks had seemed to be at close range he just had to keep his distance and try to think about what to do next. Thankfully he got some breathing room as he lowered his gun to try and think of what his next move will be, he seemed to be out of bullets or whatever made that gun fire, so he'd have to switch back into melee for now. At least he thought he was out but thankfully his opponent decided to send more bullets his way, how thoughtful of her. The shots he fired blew up and scattered pretty beautifully before coming right towards him. Holding the massive anchor in front of him Clayton managed to deflect some of the damage but definitely not enough as he was sent reeling back a bit, this hurt a lot more then he thought it would. Glancing from the view of his anchor he was able to see Honoka flying towards him with another fist for him, deciding he had well enough of this getting punched thing Clayton would swing the anchor back a bit leaving himself open for the punch getting hit right in the gut before pulling it forward and smashing it against Honoka's side to try and knock her away to get some breathing room. Even if he did though he was already starting to feel a bit winded, not a good sign.

The last attack had worked out surprisingly well for Honoka, able to successfully block the attack and even deliver an oddly satisfying gut punch. Honoka wondered if that was Lulu's influence. Unless that feeling of satisfaction was coming from...
Either way, Clayton wasn't exactly laying down to die/be defeated in a sparring match. He swung out with his trusty anchor, slamming into Honoka's side that she let out a gasp of pain. She wasn't exactly fond of taking another hit, but she felt she needed to in order to do what she was going to do next. Honoka wrapped her arm around the anchor's arm in order to stay close. Then, Honoka kicked out in an attempt to drive her foot into Clayton's other side!
But that wasn't all! Honoka pushed herself off the anchor, using the momentum of her push in order to spin around in the opposite direction and use her other leg in a spin kick, trying to knock the CaptainHookmon flat on his rear, but for real this time, and not just a ploy to shoot her!
- Stubborn, Honoka grabs onto Clayton's anchor after taking his attack in order to stay close, then follows up with two more basic attacks.
- Kaleidoscope Rush's effect expires, so Honoka's stuck only have 1 attack per post, like a fucking peasant.

Clayton had to admit, part of him felt bad for hitting someone like that. Even if it was a sparring match and he was used to this sorta full contact there was a difference between hitting someone with a wooden sword and hitting someone with a giant anchor. However apparently it wasn't too bad as Honoka decided to wrap around the anchor in order to stay close to him, Clayton still not having a full idea on his powers at the moment didn't know if that was good or bad but it felt pretty bad! Especially when she kicked him in his other side.
Thankfully as she pushed herself off the Anchor Clayton decided to help her out a little by spinning the anchor around the other direction, meeting her in the opposite direction half way and aiming another hit at her side, however he wasn't done with one hit as he'd instantly throw the anchor around the other way for another strike before holding it sideways and once again attempting to swat her away like a fly.
If he got a moment to breathe Clayton would hold his side for a second, he didn't feel like he had been getting hit that much but he was already getting more winded then he should be, was it due to not having fought in this form yet? Maybe he couldn't hold onto it for as long as his rookie form. Still he gripped his fist tightly, he wasn't one to give in till he had nothing left....
Though without a voice in his head he supposed it was his brain this time telling him this was a sparring match and to take the macho man energy down a freggin notch.

Honoka's aggressiveness had been paying off, as Clayton looked like he was getting winded. Truth be told, Honoka was probably a little more tired than she should be as well. Using Lulu's form was always so nerve-wracking. Maybe it was because of the appearance, but she always felt so vulnerable when fighting in it. She felt like she had to focus on a thousand things that could snap her in half if she wasn't careful, and the fact that she was always having to move so fast just made things that much more exhausting.
Which made the fact that Clayton had been only swinging around his anchor fairly convenient. It was fairly easy to avoid his large anchor swings, though she'd rather avoid getting swatted like a fly. She was ridiculously flexible in this form, too. When Clayton swung his anchor, she was pretty sure she could duck underneath and use her lowered pose to spring upwards and strike. Clayton was trying to keep her away for a reason, after all. If she could stick close she was confident she could keep pummeling him until...
Until... what? It's not she was trying to knock him unconscious or anything, even though every instinct in her body was telling to keep attacking! Shaking her head, Honoka flew back and planted her feet onto the ground, placing her hands on her knees to catch her breath.
"Sorry... I tend to get carried away sometimes..." She stated, letting out a giggle as well as the tension around her body. "Take five?"
