As the harsh midday sun shone down on the Spears of Megiddo, a lone ferry could be seen making its way towards a particularly large island, identifiable due to having two volcanoes that had almost merged together over countless years. At the bow of the ferry, Octavio scanned the coastline with a pair of binoculars while the rest of the Xros Army prepared their equipment. The coast was clear, so it seemed safe for the boat to approach the shoreline.
“Are you sure this is where the signal came from, Tartar?” Octavio asked, fiddling with his EV suit as he put away the binoculars. The volcanic hellscape was one of the worst places for an aquatic Digimon to go, but the team’s EV suits should protect them from the heat, up to a certain point. EV suits won’t save you from burning in lava, after all.
“Affirmative. Soundwave’s distress signal definitely originating from this island, General.” Tartar replied, as the Kokuwamon X checked his portable tablet. “The signal’s still strong, so it’s likely that he’s still here.”
A few days ago, Tartar’s computer had picked up an S.O.S. signal being broadcasted by Soundwave the Ballistamon, a former comrade of Octavio and the one that Soundblaster was cloned from. After Tartar verified the signal’s authenticity, the entire Xros Army had scrambled to the island in order to rescue the Ballistamon and possibly recruit him to the Xros Army if possible. The entire army had mobilized for this mission (including their newest member, Belle the Tinkermon), and had hired the service of a Hookmon to ferry them to the volcanic island.
Upon making landfall, the Hookmon would hand the group a box of flares and a flare gun. “Aye, this island be too dangerous fer me and my ship to stay here for too long, so send up a flare when yer ready to cast off and I’ll meet ya back here.”
“Thank you, Captain. We greatly appreciate your assistance.” Octavio gratefully told the ferryman, bowing his head in gratitude. After the 5 members of the Xros Army had disembarked from the ferry, the ShogunOctomon would address his troops. “Alright, everyone. This is a life-or-death situation, so there’s no room for insubordination here, especially from you Belle. Now, let’s move out!”
“”””Sir, yes, sir!”””” the rest of the team replied in unison, although Belle’s response came out a bit forced. The rebellious fairy didn’t like to be ordered around, but was the severity of this operation meant that the Tinkermon was begrudgingly going along with it. WC: 439/2000

"The heat is certainly picking up," Arlo the Angoramon said from the driver's seat to the other passengers as the portable bakery-turned-mini-airship approached closer to the large island. Adrian and Shoutmon as well as the latter's son Luneth the Hackmon had picked up a distress signal that appeared to be coming from this island. Being the good people that they were, there was no way they could simply ignore a Digimon in distress. Thankfully, Arlo had ways to get the group there!
"So that means we should be there in a few minutes," Luneth said.
"Thanks for agreeing to look after Gem while we're gone," Shoutmon said to Arlo, holding the little blue-eyed Gammamon in his arms. "It would've been a huge detour to bring him home first before we came."
"Don't mention it. I have a knack with even the rowdiest of young Digimon."
"Aw, Dad, why can't I go with you all? I'm strong too!" Gem complained.
"Because you still need some work controlling your power, and you haven't Digivolved yet."
"I recall you saying something similar to me when I was younger, Father," Luneth said, looking at his father with a sly grin before he focused his attention on Gem. "But Father is right this time, Gem. Your power is unique, and you still need to learn to control it. Maybe next time, alright?"
Gem gave a disappointed sigh. "Okay, Luneth..."
"Still hard to believe that you have a traveling bakery business that transforms into an airship, Arlo," Adrian said as he looked out the window, "and I'm riding in it! Where did you even get this thing anyways?"
"Found it in the Server Woods, crashed landed and no sign of the owner. I got some help repairing it and decided to keep it for myself. Very useful for traveling around the Digital World... alright, we're going to land now, so stay seated. And good luck on the rescue mission, Luneth... try to remain safe."
Arlo would then find a good place to land the airship on the island, hovering the ship over the parking spot before slowly lowering the ship down onto the ground. Coincidentally, this happened to be right at the spot that the Hookmon's ferry had ported. One Luneth, Adrian and Shoutmon exited the ship, they would come into contact with quite a cast of colorful characters: an octopus-like Digimon, a version of Kokuwamon, a black and yellow Ballistamon, a humanoid squid-like Digimon, and a Tinkermon. It appeared to be like some sort of Xros Army.
"It appears we were not the only one to receive that distress signal," Luneth would say out loud.

And apparently this was the only port on the entire island, because by sheer coincidence, or plot contrivance or whatever you wanna call it, Octavio's expedition, not to mention Luneth's father-son+Adrian get together would be greeted by another group that approached the island due to an unidentified distress signal. Not by way of ferry like Octavio and his army, and not through Pan-Air like Luneth and his family.
But instead it was a dog. A dog that didn't know how to swim very well, so he just kind of walked on the surface of the ocean. Thank goodness diving kits were a thing!
"Bluh-blub... bluh-blub..." A voice announced from beneath the water, before reaching the coast and approaching the Octavio's crew. It was a massive, shaggy, canine Digimon, with a large rusty helmet and full on deck installed onto its back, a Komondomon. Standing on the center of the deck was a tiny pink-furred Tailmon with orange and magenta eyes. While the dog was absolutely drenched, the cat seemed perfectly dry for whatever reason.
"Buh!" The Komondomon greeted the group with a cheerful bark, followed by violently shaking his body to evacuate as much water from his fur as possible, spraying everyone nearby with saltwater.
Then, the door on the Komondomon's deck swing wide open as two young girls dressed in wetsuits stepped out and waved towards the gathering built up there. They were identical in appearance, save for one with slightly shorter hair with a midnight blue stripe down the side of her wetsuit, and the longer-haired one with a burgundy stripe. But they both put up a wide smile as they announced in unison. "Go~od afternoon, ladies and gentlemon! Did anyone order a burger meal?" They each held up a large box with a clip-art image of a hamburger printed onto the front.
...It was possible that they got the wrong address.

As the Xros Army prepared to move out, it would prove to be impossible for them to miss the airship approaching the same beach they had landed at, as Soundblaster looked up and alerted the rest of the team. "Look alive, people. we've got multiple unidentified contacts incoming!"
With the Ballistamon's warning, the group would have their weapons ready but made no overtly threatening moves as Adrian, Shoutmon and Luneth disembarked from the airship. The Hackmon's mention of Soundwave's S.O.S. did ease the group's tension, however, as it seems that the unknown trio was likely there for the same reason the Xros Army was.
"That distress signal was sent by one of our men, so of course we'd come to help him. I am General Octavio Kelp, and my comrades here are Tartar, Soundblaster, my daughter Cecilia, and Belle, our latest recruit." Octavio said, introducing himself and his team to the newcomers. As he pointed to the other 4 digimon on the team, Cecilia would happily wave at the tamer and his allies while Belle hung back and observed the trio with a sour look on her face.
When the Komondomon also came ashore and sprayed saltwater over everyone, Soundblaster and Tartar would glare at the massive canine as they drained the water out of their systems, while the saltwater would end up causing Belle to start gagging and puking her stomach contents onto the sand while Cecilia gently rubbed her friend's back.
As the twins exited the Komondomon and asked if anyone had ordered some burgers, Belle would weakly raise her hand and attempt to speak, only to continue vomiting before she could get a word out. Seawater always provoked this kind of violent reaction from the Tinkermon, although nobody was really sure yet as to why.
"Just give her a minute, please." Cecilia would kindly tell the twins as she supported her friend. WC: 756/2000

The trio had to admit, they were a bit caught off guard by how the army all had their weapons out as they looked upon Adrian, Shoutmon and Luneth. It was only with Luneth's words that they realized that both groups were here with the same goal in mind. The octopus Digimon stepped forward and explained that the signal was sent by one of their men, so that made sense why they were there to help. "We got the signal and couldn't just sit back while some Digimon out there was in danger," Shoutmon explained.
The octopus Digimon introduced himself as Octavio Kelp, while also introducing the other Xros Army members Tartar, Soundblaster, Belle, and Octavio's daughter Cecilia. There was something familiar about Octavio but Adrian was unable to put his finger on it at the moment. "I'm Adrian Boriker, and this is my partner Shoutmon and his son Luneth."
"It is a pleasure to meet you all," Luneth said with a polite bow while Shoutmon simply waved at the group with a smile.
Then the Komondomon came ashore, stunning Adrian as he had never seen this big dog-like Digimon before. "Whoa... what kind of Digimon is tha-" Adrian said before the Komondomon shook, spraying everyone in the area with water. Adrian gagged, as some of the saltwater got into his mouth, while Shoutmon and Luneth's expressions pretty much matched Tartar's and Soundblaster's, with them each spitting saltwater out of their mouths like a fountain statue would. Being fire Digimon, it wouldn't take long for them to dry off.
Belle had the worst reaction though, as she just instantly started puking her guts out, leaving Adrian, Shoutmon and Luneth to stare in both shock and disgust. "Homeostasis..." Shoutmon would quietly mutter.
What happened next truly shocked Luneth. Two identical looking twin girls would exit from the Komondomon wearing wetsuits, asking if anyone there had ordered a burger meal. While the Tinkermon vomited even more, Luneth would go up and approach the twins. "Haru? Natsu? Is that you? It's me, Luneth!"
"Wait, you know these girls, Luneth?"
The Hackmon nodded. "I do, indeed. They're former classmates of mine, and I believe they're still in the same class as Kaya."

"Yo, Lu!" Haru called out, waving towards the dragon Digimon. Natsu looked over towards him in surprise, but before she could say anything, she took notice of the Tinkermon making a bit of a mess. Almost immediately the girl felt her stomach weaken as she felt the urge to let loose out of pure sympathy. However Haru grabbed her shoulder and forcibly turned her away from the sight. "So Missy... what's her deal?" She asked the pink cat Digimon with the heterochromatic eyes.
"Swallowed down some salt water," She answered with no other context.
"Sheesh..." Haru shook her head. That wasn't very smart of her to do! She disembarked the big doggy vehicle and got closer towards the Tinkermon and her group, very careful to watch her step, for obvious reasons. She offered her a canteen. "I'd normally say to drink down some water that's less rich in sodium, but there was this really bizarre river over in the Backup Bayou and... Well, if you like vegetable smoothies, then you're in for a treat!"
Natsu managed to make her way towards Luneth, Shoutmon, and Adrian. "Luneth, that really is you..." She muttered once she got her stomach under control. "I mean, I knew that you were a Digimon, but... umm... You look... cool! I like your cape!" She looked over towards Adrian and Shoutmon and there was a hint of recognition in her eyes. "Oh, a Shoutmon! you mentioned that your father was named..." She suddenly stood up straight. "It's nice to meet you, sir! I'm your friend's son... no, wait... I'm your son's friend! Natsu! And that's my sister over there! Haru!"
As for the Komondomon and the Tailmon, they weren't gonna just stand there while things got awkward! The Tailmon leaped onto the Komondomon's head, and the big doggy Digimon sauntered over towards Belle. He dug out a hole with his front paws, then promptly proceeded to bury the spots that the Tinkermon had evacuated her lunch and breakfast on.
"Reunions and incidents aside, we need to get moving," The Tailmon commented. "So does anyone here want some food? It's mostly burgers, though. Chef's preference."

"Huh, I take it you guys must know each other, then?" Octavio asked semi-rhetorically, subconsciously tapping his wasabi sticks together as he processed that. "Anyways, as tempting as your offer is, we really do need to focus on the main reason we're here. Rescuing Soundwave is our main priority, so eating can wait until later. Blaster, Tartar, Belle, are you three still in good enough shape to move out?"
"'Blaster'? Where'd that nickname come from?" Soundblaster asked in confusion.
"You and Soundwave have similar names, so I'm just gonna call you 'Blaster' to make it easier to tell you two apart." Octavio explained.
"Makes sense. I do actually like the sound of it, to be honest ..." Soundblaster replied, trailing off for a moment before snapping back to attention. "Oh, and I'm still good to go, sir."
"I can handle a bit of water as well. I'm not that delicate." Tartar added, grumbling a bit as he finished draining the saltwater out of his body. Turning towards the twins and their companions, the Kokuwamon X would also irritably add, "I would advise your canine companion to be more careful of his surroundings when drying himself off in the future. Not everyone will be so forgiving."
Meanwhile, Belle had finally managed to stop throwing up and barely managed to avoid glaring at everyone as she straightened back up. She really wanted to flip off the Komondomon that accidentally caused her to throw up like that, but held off when the Komondomon buried the vomit in the volcanic sand. The Tinkermon wasn't sure if it was meant to be an apology or not, but it did raise the large canine back to a more neutral standing with her.
Belle did gently decline the offered canteen from Haru, though. "No offense, but I reaaaally don't trust anything from a swamp (especially from a weird river). I do appreciate the offer, though. Definitely makes you cool in my book."
"Am I cool?" Cecilia asked, radiating an aura of innocent curiosity that made her look absolutely adorable.
"Of course you're cool. Why else would I consider you my best friend?" Belle honestly replied, gently smushing the octo-girl's face wit her hands to tease her and causing Cecilia's face to go red(der) from embarrassment.
"Mission. Focus. Now." Octavio snapped, clapping his wasabi sticks together to emphasize his words. The Xros General was dangerously close to losing his patience, and it definitely showed.
"Calm your tentacles, Old Man! We're having a moment here!" Belle snapped back, only to get a wasabi stick chucked at her face in retaliation. "Ow!" WC: 1488/2000

As Luneth and Natsu's eyes met, Luneth could immediately tell that Natsu was unsure of how to think of him in this form. All of their interactions up to this point had been while Luneth was wearing his holosuit, so this was her first time seeing him in his true form. The Hackmon had to admit, he was a bit nervous about how Natsu would react.
"Y-Yes, it is me," Luneth reaffirmed to Natsu as she got closer. He gulped a bit as he anticipated what Natsu would say next. To his surprise, Natsu thought that Luneth looked really cool, and complimented his red cape as well! A tint of pink could be seen on the white dragon's cheeks as he smiled and rubbed the back of his head. "Ah, thank you, Natsu... this cape is more or less a part of me, since all Hackmons have them. It sort of evolves along with me, as well!"
Natsu then looked over at Shoutmon, introducing herself as Luneth's friend after correcting her wording mix-up and calling the red dragon "sir." Shoutmon simply looked at her for a moment before letting out a big belly laugh. "No one's ever called me 'sir' before," Shoutmon said after he calmed down. "Let's forget that 'sir' nonsense. Just call me Shoutmon, and any friend of Luneth's in a friend of mine. Put it there!" Shoutmon would then extend his arm towards Natsu to offer a handshake, a big toothy grin present on the Shoutmon's face.
Yeah, he was almost nothing like his son at first glance.
The Tailmon that was accompanying Haru and Natsu then asked the group if they all wanted some food. Shoutmon and Luneth both nodded their heads with great excitement before Octavio brought up a good point, they were on a mission so food had to wait. "But..." "Ah..."
"Octavio's right, we gotta focus on the mission," Adrian said to Shoutmon and Luneth, causing them both to hang their heads in disappointment but still reluctantly agreeing with their human companion. After the group dried themselves off (and Octavio got obviously annoyed with his own army's antics,) they would hopefully now be ready to deploy. "I don't know why you guys are here, but clearly you don't know what's going on," Adrian would say to the twins' crew.
"There's a Digimon in trouble on this island," Luneth continued. "They sent a distress signal, and we managed to pick it up, so that's why we're here. I... really don't think whoever has hold of this Digimon was dumb enough to order delivery and have it brought to where they are keeping him..."

Out of the Frying Pan...
Natsu nodded to Shoutmon and shook his hand, though to be perfectly frank, handshakes weren't really something she did too often, so it felt kind of awkward for her. Was she grasping too tight, or was she supposed to grip on a particular part of the hand? Either way, she smiled as she said, "It's a pleasure to meet you, Shoutmon!"
As much as Natsu wanted to speak with Luneth, his father, and his father's partner, it didn't seem like the appropriate time for it at the moment. Adrian made a statement, and Mistral rolled her eyes once Luneth finished explaining. "I know, already. There's someone sending out a distress signal that's giving me a headache," She answered. "And apparently they're part of the Seafood Crew," She gestured over towards Octavio's group, what with their collection of seafood, machines, and fairy.
Speaking of, Haru just shrugged as she took a swig out of the canteen. Wasn't the most delicious thing in the world, but compared to a high-protein diet she's received after meeting the traveling restaurant, it was a welcome change! "Apparently it's a local treasure or something. But you do you," She shrugged as she sauntered her way back towards her sister and former classmate, red lizard guy, and accompanying human. She blinked for a second before looking at Adrian, then turned towards Luneth.
"Oh! This must be that 'Adrian' guy who told you not to get curious about naked humans or whatever!" She blurted out with a mischievous grin. "Thanks to you, we don't gotta send Lu nudes for accidentally seeing him in his Digi-birthday suit! Natsu's pretty grateful f-oomph!"
A quick elbow to the ribs was enough to silence the girl, as an embarrassed Natsu shoved herself in between her sister and the others. "Please don't mind my sister! She just likes to say shameless stuff sometimes, just to see how they react!"
"Natsu, you can't go exposing my deepest, darkest secrets!" Haru stated in an overly dramatic tone, rubbing her side. "But there's only one way to really find out if we're in the wrong place or not, and that's to find the people here! So we might as well tag along with you guys! We'll try not to get in the way too much!"
There seemed to be important things to be done! And if there was someone in trouble, then they couldn't very well ignore them, could they? So Haru and Natsu climbed aboard the Komondomon, Haru patting the big dog's side and saying, "Okay, Buddy! Let's trail behind the others and see if there's anyone we need to help out!"
And after that, they sat down on some rather comfortable-looking seats, pulled out their phones and some snacks, and... were just kind of there now. Just because they were on a mission didn't mean that they couldn't take things easy, right?

"I'm glad SOMEBODY'S taking this seri-" Octavio started, only to halt mid-sentence when the words "Seafood Crew" were uttered by the pink Tailmon. You could hear the metaphorical record scratch as the entire Xros Army immediately turned and stared at Mistral. "You want to run that by me again, Whiskers? Did you just call me and my daughter 'seafood'?"
"Uh-oh, you called him 'seafood'." Soundblaster nervous stated as he and Tartar backed away from the angry ShogunOctomon. "You shouldn't have done that!"
"Did you. Just call me and my daughter. 'Seafood'?" Octavio repeated in a colder tone, grip tightening on his wasabi sticks.
"Now you're in for it!" Soundblaster added, grabbing Tartar in order to use him as a metaphorical meat shield against their pissed-off leader.
"They call me... MIS-TER SEAFOOD! RRRRAAAAHHHHHH!" Octavio screamed as he leaped at Mistral and attempted to mercilessly pummel the Tailmon with his wasabi sticks.
"I'm surrounded by idiots." Tartar muttered as he facepalmed at his leader's outlandish behavior. Yet another reason for the scientist to dislike his leader, although he couldn't really so anything about it.
Only time would tell if the group would notice the small shadow observing them from a gap between the nearby rocks...

Natsu would DEFINITELY notice the pure strength of Shoutmon's grip. It wouldn't hurt her hand at all, since Shoutmon knew how not-strong humans were, but it was definitely stronger than what Natsu would be used to or what she was expecting. It didn't seem that Shoutmon himself really cared about the way Natsu was gripping onto his hand either, so all seemed good there.
After Shoutmon and Natsu introduced themselves, Haru would walk up to Adrian, saying to Luneth that this must've been the one who told the Hackmon not to get curious about naked humans. Adrian, Shoutmon and Luneth all looked at Haru with stunned faces as she explained how now they didn't have to send Luneth "nudes" for seeing him in his "Digi-Birthday suit," before being shut up by Natsu. "You seriously told them about that?" Adrian asked incredulously.
"I-I didn't mean to," Luneth said, trying to defend himself, "they were talking about that sort of stuff, and I was merely being honest about my own answers, I swear! I tried to end that topic as fast as possible!" Luneth's face was as red as a tomato at this point by how much he was blushing... this whole thing was so mortifying for him!
"Hm, maybe I'm having second thoughts about those two..." Shoutmon said as he crossed his arms. At least Natsu was trying to keep her sister in check, so that was something. "Good thing Gem's back on the ship with Arlo. I have no clue how I'd explain it if he asked Skye about that part of humans."
At least Haru and Natsu agreed to tag along with the group to find the Digimon in distress, so that was a good thing. Before Adrian could ask where their partners were, or if they even had partners, the Tailmon they were with called the Xros Army the "Seafood Crew," and almost like a record scratch, Octavio seemingly snapped. Adrian, Shoutmon and Luneth sweatdropped as Blaster grabbed a hold of Tartar and used him as a shield as the octopus Digimon attempted to attack the Tailmon. Thankfully Shoutmon was quick enough to summon his mic staff and counter Octavio's attacks.
"Hey hey hey, focus here, guy! We gotta find your friend, remember? No time to start fighting someone because they called you a pretty accurate sounding nickname!"
Luneth just sighed as he watched this insanity play out in front of him. However, he would soon get the feeling that they were being watched. The Hackmon looked behind him and sure enough, he could see a shadow in a gap in between the rocks. "Hm...?" Luneth decided he would go and check out this shadow alone, since clearly everyone else was a bit pre-occupied at the moment.

Out of the Frying Pan...
With the awkward handshakes out of the way, Natsu's face reddened with Haru's little stunt. "I'm so sorry..." an embarrassed Natsu apologized once more while Haru maintained her grin. She proudly put her hands on her hips.
"I was just testing you back then! I don't think it's that bad to get embarrassed about that kinda stuff!" She stated. "Really, it's kinda cute! 'Sides, I'd of been more worried if you agreed... tho I probably woulda still done it..." Another jab from Natsu and the girl all but keeled over.
Then all the insanity happened! Haru and Natsu climbed aboard Komondomon while Octavio went ballistic and attacked the weird Tailmon. Rather than move to defend herself, Mistral raised a curious eyebrow. She gave the encroaching aquatic Digimon the slightest of smiles as her eyes narrowed as a predatory aura overtook her usual lackadaisical presence.
However, Shoutmon had the good sense to fend off Octavio's assault and remind him of why they had arrived in the first place. Mistral's slight smile inverted into a slight frown as she seemed slightly disappointed. However, her head turned towards a direction Luneth was checking out, where there was someone hiding in the shadows.
Mistral hopped back aboard Buddy and focused for a second to reach out for the wind and see what was over there, however she was distracted by an approaching shout from behind the door of Buddy's deck.
"Owooooooooooooh!" A growling shout echoed, busting the door wide open and charging out. A Gaomon holding a push broom charged towards the cat. "Sweeping's over! Now it's time for a rematch!"
"Gaomon, now you're getting dust everywhere!" A Gabumon complained from behind him, holding onto a mop and a bucket.
"Sorry!" Gaomon replied, dropping the broom, jumping over it as it clattered to the ground and pulled back his fist for a devastating punch towards the tiny kitty Digimon. However, the dog Digimon's swing missed its mark completely, as the Tailmon seeming slid a foot to the side as if she had been standing there the entire time.
"You were faster yesterday. In sweeping and attacking," Mistral commented a she twirled around, casually slapping the Gaomon across the face with her tail. While the blow looked perfectly innocuous, it had the force to send the Gaomon flying off Buddy's back and straight towards the rock where the mysterious stranger had been hiding!

Shoutmon's interference seemed to cause Octavio to snap out of his berserker rage, causing the octopus to back up a few steps and take a deep breath. "Sorry, you're absolutely right. It's just that where I grew up, 'seafood' was considered a highly offensive thing to call an aquatic Digimon. The island may no longer exist, but old habits die hard, I suppose."At that point, Octavio was calm enough that he certainly didn't miss the Gamon and Gabumon that had exited the Komondomon, only for the Gaomon to be sent flying after charging at the very Tailmon Octavio nearly attacked. It became very clear to the General that the Shoutmon's interference may have actually caused him to dodge a bullet there. As for the Gaomon? The loud impact of the canine hitting the rocks would startle the hidden observer into leaving its hiding spot, revealing it to be a mechanical bird Digimon that squawked loudly as it flew away from the rocks. Or at least the bird would try to fly away, only managing to accomplish short, fluttering hops before crashing back onto the ground. A closer inspection would reveal that the reason for this odd behavior would be due to the bird being injured, with numerous gashes and scrapes on it's metallic frame and one wing being badly bent and mangled. The injuries appeared to be a few days old, so it was obvious that something had attacked the bird before the others had reached the island. The bird would angrily continue to squawk at Luneth and the Gaomon, still trying to get as far away from the duo as its pitiful condition would allow. The squawking would end up getting Tartar's attention, the Kokuwamon X wriggling out of Soundblaster's arms as he went over to get a better look at the wounded bird. After scanning the bird for a moment, Tartar would visibly relax before speaking to the angry avian. "Now, now. There's no need to freak out like that. Your partner was the one that called for us, after all. Isn't that right... Noisemaze?"
Hearing the sound of its name, Noisemaze(?) would calm down and stop squawking, but still kept a wary eye on Luneth and the Gaomon.

After the awkwardness with the twins was cleared up, Shoutmon had been successful with stopping Octavio from doing something he would've come to regret. "Yeah, I can see how that can be pretty offensive," Shoutmon says, "but that still doesn't give you any right to go psycho like that. Woulda thought that others had called you that so much by this point, anyways."
Then the Gaomon and Gabumon came out to play, who Adrian assumed were the twins' partners. The Gaomon immediately leapt up to attack the Tailmon... and missed her completely. Tailmon, of course, took a step to the side after the Gaomon landed just to add insult to injury. Then she added an OFFENSE to the injury by using her tail to smack Gaomon all the way over to the rocks. And Adrian and Shoutmon had a front row seat to all of that.
"Uh... okay."
While Adrian and Shoutmon were by the Komondomon, Luneth was investigating that peculiar shadow by the gap in between those said rocks. He had the feeling that it was something watching the group. As he got closer and closer, he could definitely tell that something was there-
CRAAAASH! "AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!"
The meteorite Gaomon didn't just scare the creature, it nearly gave Luneth a Digicore attack! Homeostasis, that Gaomon just came out of nowhere! After the Hackmon reorientated himself, holding his chest as he tried to regain his breath, he would notice the robotic bird attempt and fail to fly away, before it started squaking at him and the Gaomon repeatedly. The damages to the bird were definitely noticeable... what happened to the little guy?
Clearly Adrian, Shoutmon and Tartar noticed the racket going on here, so they all went to check it out. The Kokuwamon scanned the robotic bird before he seemed to recognize it, as it was the Digimon in distress's partner named Noisemaze. "This is our Digimon's partner? But if he's this beat up..." The Hackmon felt his stomach drop, and so did Adrian and Shoutmon.
"We need to find him, FAST!" Adrian concluded.

Out of the Frying Pan...
Thankfully, Gaomon didn't collide with the hiding Noisemaze?, but rather, a rock that it was hiding behind. Which was probably for the best. If Gaomon's skull couldn't handle crashing into a rock at high velocities, then what did he spend all his time training for? So after a vicious cracking sound as the rock gave way before Gaomon's thick skull, he tumbled to the ground, quickly standing up, the only sign of his grievous failure a comically-large bump sticking out through his blue fur.
He looked to see the Hackmon and squawking robot bird Digimon. He faintly remembered the scent of the Hackmon, but couldn't for the life of him remember where he had met him before. Was it Chad from the accounting department, who Gaomon had met at that office party... that Gaomon had never been to before?
Huh... maybe hitting his head was affecting him more than he thought!
Regardless, the angry and threatened Noisemaze? seemed to be challenging him, and Gaomon never turned down a challenge! "Bring it! Them's fighting squawks, and I'm not gonna hold back just because you're a little banged up!" He raised his fists up, ready to do battle!
"Down, boy!" Haru called out, the sisters dismounting Buddy and moving over towards the little gathering.
"Don't talk down to me like I'm some sort of ani-"
"Gaomon, sit!" Natsu ordered, her imperious tone cutting off the dog Digimon's sentence as he lowered his arms and promptly placed his tushie onto the ground without really thinking about it. Then a look of horror appeared in his eyes as he realized what he had just done.
"Dammit! I did it again! I'm a Digimon, not a dog!" He yelled out in frustration, yet he remained seated, regardless.
Thankfully, Tartar managed to calm down the panicked Digimon. By the time Haru and Natsu got close, the Digimon had stopped squawking. Haru whistled as she stated, "This guy's not lookin' like his best, is he? Natsu, you mind-"
But before she could finish, Natsu was already on it, pulling out her phone-like Digivice and scanning a card through it. "Card Slash, Regenerate!" And after a brief display of fancy lights, the bird Digimon would feel their body begin to slightly recover over the course of say, three posts or so.
Luneth and Adrian expressed their concern and haste, and the girls nodded in agreement. Haru squatted down to the bird Digimon, and asked, "Hey there, buddy!"
"Buh?" Buddy the Komondomon inquired from off in the distance.
"Not you," Mistral informed the big vehicle-dog, as Buddy lowered his head, dejected.
"Think you can lead us to your friend, so we can rescue you both from whatever's going on here?" Haru smiled sweetly towards the Digimon before continuing. She pulled out a box of burgers and then asked, "And just to check, you didn't happen to order a Patty Pack from our restaurant, did you?"
