Octavio's crew (sans JetSilphymon) could only stare dumbfoundedly as Haru and Garurumon both went to the enemy camp and blatantly asked them if they ordered food. Either those two were brave as hell or absolute idiots, and Octavio was willing to bet on the latter choice.
The bigger surprise was when the white Tentomon hopped to his feet in excitement and ran towards the Tamer and canine. "Oh, yay! I was wondering when my order would get here!"
"Bug Bite, you idiot." Ransack sighed in exasperation as he facepalmed at the Tentomon's stupidity. Next to him, the masked Falcomon merely shook its head in silent disappointment. "Did you really reveal the location of our hideout to complete strangers, just to order some d**n takeout?! Ugh, I'll deal with you after we take care of these nosy brats."
As the mutant Guardromon chewed out the albino bug, a Sealsdramon camping out on a rocky outcropping was observing the situation through the scope of a sniper rifle. The sniper had the scope aimed at Haru with his finger resting on the gun's trigger, but was unable to take the shot as JetSilphymon rapidly descended into the camp. The aerial cyborg kicked up a cloud of dust as she landed, obscuring the sniper's view and causing the Sealsdramon to curse as he moved to try and find a better position.
Bug Bite was too busy coughing from the dust cloud to notice JetSilphymon running up to him and literally kicking him like a soccer ball, the poor bug screaming in terror as he was sent flying off into the distance. After kicking the Tentomon, JetSilphymon would move herself between the enemy Digimon and the Tamer duo. "Go! I'll cover you!"

Out of the Frying Pan
Well, didn't things end up getting interesting? Turns out one of the thugs ended up ordering the food after all, and the the peeps who needed to be rescued ended up saving themselves! So a pretty good day, all things considered. In fact the Tentomon was about to get ready and pay for the food, until the JetSilphymon came crashing down and booting the Tentomon far away!
"Hey... you could have waited until after the dude paid!" Haru stated, shaking her head in mock-frustration. "But thanks for the assist, I guess. But I'm pretty sure that we'd had have that handled."
"We have the noses that know, after all!" Garurumon added helpfully, as if that explained anything. Or maybe it did. Either way, they ran back towards the others.
"Hey, we're beating the crap out of these guys, right?" Haru asked them. "Anyways, I'm pretty bad at taking orders, much prefer to be giving 'em, but I'm guessing no one here's gonna be followin' them..." She sighed, laying on the faux-melodrama a little too thick. "Truly the curse of being so gorgeous. I just can't be taken seriously in a professional setting..."
Natsu and Gaogamon rolled their eyes while Garurumon just looked confused. "It's okay, Haru! I've never found you attractive in the slightest, so I'll follow all your orders if you need me to!"
"Thanks, Gabumon!" Haru replied. "You always know just what to say to cheer a gal up!" She let out a small laugh before directing her attention towards Octavio's group, and Luneth and fam. "I'm pretty bad at teamwork and following orders and stuff, so-"
"She can never read the room." "She's a selfish bitch." "She's always thinking 10 steps ahead but she sometimes forgets step 1!"
"Yeah, not an invitation to talk, guys" Haru answered, her eyebrow twitching in mild annoyance. "Anyways, it's probably just best to say that Natsu and I can take care of ourselves, so we'll do our own thing while you guys do yours!" Meanwhile, over at the rocky outcropping with the sniper Sealsdramon, a familiar cat would suddenly leap on top of his head. "Hi," Mistral greeted as if it were perfectly normal to jump on top of homicidal strangers. "Since you're already here sniping off some acquaintances of mine, I was wondering if you'd do me a favor. Lately, there's been this Gaogamon that's been bothering me every day, and I was hoping you'd be able to take care of him for me,"
Swishing her tail back and forth, she added. "Well, I doubt someone as weak as you could kill him, but if you really try your best, you could probably get him to sprain his ankle or something. That'd be a big help. What do you say, Mr. Small Fry?"

In a turn of events that probably no one could've expected, it actually was the mercenaries that purchased take out from Haru and Natsu's restaurant. Well, specifically it was the albino Tentomon that did, the one that the others called "Bug Bite." As expected, the other mercenaries were furious that he gave away their location to order take out. As they watched, Shoutmon and Luneth couldn't help but feel bad for the poor Tentomon. Poor guy was probably just hungry, plus he didn't seem as evil as the others there. Before anything could happen to Haru and Garurumon, JetSilphymon landed and kicked Bug Bite away like a soccer ball. That was pretty much the signal to go all in. "Shoutmon! Luneth! Let's do this!"
"Sure thing, Adri!" "We're right behind you!"
The three of them would then jump out of their hiding spot towards the battle in progress, with Adrian activating his Digivice's power. Both Shoutmon and Luneth would then glow and morph into their Ultimate forms. "Shoutmon, Super Evolution! OmniShoutmon!"
"Hackmon, Super Evolution! SaviorHackmon!"
In the Shoutmon's and Hackmon's places would be two much larger Digimon than before, though they were roughly the same height. One was a golden dragon-man resembling a Shoutmon, and the other was a cloaked, white-armored dragon warrior resembling a Hackmon. It was pretty clear to see who these two were supposed to be just on a first glance. "If the lot of you are smarter than that bug was, then surely you know when to surrender."
"And if not, then don't worry, because we'll still be able to kick your butts."

"Okay, you guys take care of yourselves, then.” JetSilphymon conceded, shrugging their shoulders as the went back to focusing on their enemies, pulling back to regroup with the rest of her team once Luneth and Shoutmon digivolved and joined the fray. “Alright, it might be best if we switch up the Xros forms. JetSilphymon, I’m going to need Tartar for our X3 form, so you’ll have to revert to your X2 form. Blaster, you’ll be with me and Tartar." Octavio barked out to his crew. "Soundwave, Laserbeak, I know you guys aren’t in top shape, but do you think you guys can still fight?” “AFFIRMATIVE, GENERAL, ALBEIT NOT AT MAXIMUM EFFICIENCY.” Soundwave answered. “” Laserbeak added, popping out of Soundwave’s chest in excitement. “I’ll take that as a yes.” Octavio said, readying his Xros Loader. “Let’s show them what we’ve got. Xros Scramble!” With a flash of light, Jet Silphymon split apart to reveal Tartar and Kazemon. For their combination, Laserbeak transformed into an electric guitar (albeit slightly damaged) and flew into Soundwave’s hand, while Soundwave somehow gained a red pair of sunglasses. “Kazemon!” “HEAVY METAL BALLISTAMON.” With the X2 forms on the field, Octavio then Xrosed with Tartar and Soundblaster, the two mechanical Digimon merging together to form a large, egg-shaped mech with gigantic, spiked arms sticking out of it. "Let's dance!"
Meanwhile, the Sealsdramon sniper was noticeably confused when Mistral ended up jumping on his head, but still tried to maintain a professional demeanor (despite speaking with what could be described as a southern accent). “Well now, little lady, would ya mind hoppin’ off mah head so Ah can focus on mah job. But to answer your question, it sounds to me like yer doubtin’ mah skills as an assassin. Ah’m not one to back off from a challenge, so Ah’ll just hafta do mah best to rise to the challenge.”The Tailmon’s taunt seemed to have the opposite effect of what was probably intended. Instead of provoking the sniper into attacking Mistral, it only motivated him further to shoot at the group down below as he took aim at the Gaogamon and fired off an electrified sniper round at the wolf Digimon.
Down below, Ransack noticed how badly their group was outnumbered and outmatched, even with their sniper covering them from a distance. Their right head looked at their Falcomon ally while firing a missile at OmniShoutmon. “Nightbird, cover us! We’ll regroup in the tunnels!”While The masked Falcomon obliged and threw down a smoke bomb, Ransack’s left head pulled out a walkie-talkie and spoke into it as the duo ran into the nearby cave. “Boss, we’re under attack! We need backup!”
The walkie-talkie burst into static, and an unknown voice spoke up from the other end of the line. ”Very well, then. If the four of you can’t handle a few trespassers, then I’ll send someone who will. Don’t disappoint me further, Ransack.”With that ominous closing statement, the line shut off with a click, and a loud howling sound could be heard nearby that definitely did NOT come from one of Haru and Natsu’s partners. “So, he sends the Wolf out to aid us? Interesting.” Nightbird quietly spoke up, having overheard the mutant Guardromon’s conversation with their boss. Falcomon moves: --Smokescreen: Falcomon throws down a smokebomb, covering a 10m radius in a smoke cloud that obscures the vision of everyone inside, resulting in a 50% evasion buff for them and their allies while inside the cloud (not effective for higher-level allies, though). The cloud disperses after 3 turns unless blown away by strong winds. 4 post cooldown. (Duration 0/3)Ransack moves: -Homing missile: Ransack fires a homing missile from his arm that tracks an enemy for increased accuracy. 2 post cooldown. [Target: Omnishoutmon] 0/2Sealsdramon moves: -Thunder Round: Sealsdramon shoots an enemy with an electrified bullet, dealing damage and stunning them in the process (disabling named attacks for 1 turn. 3 post cooldown. Luneth and OmniShoutmon both couldn't help but smirk to see their enemies realize that they were outnumbered here. Of course, it was from here that they also both noticed the weird mutated nature of the Guardromon, "Ransack." Neither of them had known any Guardromon with two heads like that before. They weren't sure if this was a normal thing or if this specific one was mutated or deformed in some way.
This Guardromon then fired a missile right at OmniShoutmon before either of them had a chance to say anything about it, announcing like a dummy to his Falcomon companion to meet up in the tunnels. OmniShoutmon took the attack by letting it hit his forearm as the Falcomon dropped a smoke bomb before he and the Guardromon disappeared. OmniShoutmon and Luneth both held their mouths and coughed at the smoke, but Luneth was still able to see where the two may have gotten.
Mostly because the cave is right there, and there was nowhere else for these criminals to go.
"Father, I'm going to pursue them," Luneth simply said before he dashed into the cave, leaving OmniShoutmon there to watch for more enemies if any happen to show up.
He flew silently, as to ensure that the Guardromon and the Falcomon didn't hear him coming for them. He softly landed right behind the two of them, making extra careful not to alert them of his presence quite yet. He overheard the Guardromon calling someone for backup on his walkie-talkie. It was then that the howling sound could be heard, with the Falcomon mentioning that their boss sent "The Wolf" to aid them. Luneth figured that this demanded an interrogation of some kind. Using his long tail, Luneth quickly grabbed Nightbird and entangled him, bring the masked bird closer to Luneth's now-extended right wrist blade.
By now, the Guardromon would've had to notice Luneth's sudden entrance by this point. Of course, Luneth had thought of this too. "One move against me or my allies, and your friend here gets it," Luneth threatened Ransack, the tip of his wrist-blade close to touching Nightbird's cheek. "Who are you? What are you planning here? And who is 'The Wolf'?"

Out of the Frying Pan
Well, all of these sudden developments! And with people going out of turn like this, it made the girls look that much more helpless!
...Which admittedly, they weren't too concerned on about it in the first place. They had already rescued who they needed rescuing, after all! Luneth and his dad had Digivolved and they didn't even get a chance to react to it before they acted and held a dude hostage. But hey, they got to see some Xros action happen! So that was a plus!
Honestly, the girls and their pups were basically just here so see what was going down and just hang with their former classmate-turned-baker bodyguard, but before they could see all that, the dumb Falcomon decided to create an annoying smokescreen! They couldn't spectate like this, could they? Haru and Natsu nodded towards each other, each one pulling out a card.
"Digi-Modify! Megabyte Glitchmagma... Activate!" "Digi-Modify! Gigabyte Tempest... Activate!"
The field around them began to warp as tiny little volcanoes began to pop up out of the ground, letting loose steam and smoke out from them. In addition, a powerful wind began to blow throughout the battlefield, hopefully enough to blow away the Falcomon's annoying smokescreen.
Oh yeah, and it'd also boost the power of any wind or fire-based moves used within the area, so... if only there were people around who could use those...
Apparently the Sealsdramon was only trained in the art of sniping, and not in the art of getting the fucking clue. A shame, really.
As the Sealsdramon fired his shot, the Ultimate-level Tailmon flew forward and batted the electrically-charged shot aside like it were a cat toy. Now, ordinarily Mistral would enjoy this little game and be willing to play with her new best friend for a little while longer. However, this little shot had just sealed the Sealsdramon's fate.
After all, an electrically-charged shot had certain side effects on the Tailmon. As the electricity, covered the kitty in static and sent her well-groomed fur in all kinds of crazy directions. Mistral didn't even need to look in a mirror to realize what had happened. She could sense it by the way her fur felt against the air around her.
She looked up at the cyborg assassin Digimon in cold silence. She cracked her neck as she spoke softly, yet carried by the air between the two so that the Sealsdramon would hear every syllable crystal clear.
"It seems like you're not very smart, so I'm going to slowly and carefully going to explain what's going to happen to you," The Tailmon began. "We're going to begin fighting. And because of the initial adrenaline of close combat and our inherent size differences, you're going to feel like you have a fighting chance. However, you're going to slowly realize that every attack you make never seems to go the way you want. You're going to be caught off guard, and I'm going to break your arms because of it.
"Afterwards, you're going to realize you're outmatched, and you'll attempt to retreat back to your comrades. But before you can get very far I'm going to break both of your legs. You'll scream for help, but I'll silence you by nearly crushing your throat. You'll begin to cry in fear, and plead for mercy with your eyes, but you'll then find that you no longer have them. And then, when you're unable to fight back, unable to run away, and unable to even see, I'll start to have my fun playing with you."
The air around the Tailmon swirled around in a vortex as it lifted her into the air. "I'll probably get bored after a couple hours. Of course, my time is precious. So I'll give you one opportunity. Shove the barrel of your own rifle towards your head and pull the trigger. I'll spend the time I would have spent mutilating you on fixing this my fur. And in exchange, in your next life you won't have to take the risk of remembering what I plan on doing to you."
Mistral gave the Sealsdramon a grin that didn't match the look of bloody murder in her eyes. "It's the last day of your life, little boy; how is it going to end?"
- Using the Entropy upgrade, Haru and Natsu activate 2 Terrain cards this turn, boosting the power of Wind and Fire-based Abilities.
- Mistral speaks to a future corpse.
D-Arc Cards Used - 2/7
DR-23 Card Name: Megabyte Glitchmagma Type: Environment Rank: Silver Duration: 3 Posts Effect: Large mounds will protrude from the earth, spitting steam and spouts of red magma for three turns. All fire based moves are boosted in power.

While Mistral made it blatantly obvious that she was going to brutally murder the Sealsdramon, the sniper's reaction was not one of terror or cowardice, as one might possibly expect. The Sniper actually chuckled as he tossed aside his rifle and withdrew a pair of combat knives. "Now, that is a picture-perfect example of intimidation, right there. But consider this choice: you could waste time killing me here (and I definitely won't go down without a fight), OR you could go down and help keep your little friends from getting massacred while I make my getaway. You see, my friends and I that were out here? We're just lookouts, cannon fodder, while the big guns of our platoon are inside those tunnels. Hell, we've got a Mega or two on our side, so your little friends are gonna be in BIG trouble down there. Now, what'll it be, Missy?"
Outside, while Natsu and Haru's partner's DID clear up the smokescreen, it made little difference in the grand scheme of things since the creators had already hightailed it into the tunnels.
Speaking of Ransack and Nightbird, the two bandits both froze up when Luneth threatened them and told them to spill the beans about 'the Wolf'. Ransack would be the first to speak after regaining some of his nerve, "Tell you our plans? HAH! We're just the cannon fodder of the group! They don't tell us anything important specifically for situations like this! As for the Wolf? Sorry to tell you, but we know about as much about him as you do. The Wolf reports directly to the boss as an independent freelancer, so we barely even see the guy. He WAS just a ShadowWereGarurumon when he first got hired, but after all the experiments the boss and his mad scientist have done on him? There's no telling just what he's like now!"
"Well, I guess you finally get to find out now, don't you?" A husky voice growled out from the shadows, deeper in the tunnel, causing Ransack and Nightbird to visibly panic. "Shadow Howlitzer."
A massive purple laser would then start blasting through the tunnel right at Luneth. Even if Luneth tried pulling Nightbird out of the way of the attack, the poor Falcomon would still end up being utterly vaporized by the attack. If Luneth managed to dodge the laser, the attack would simply keep traveling all the way out of the tunnel. Seeing his friend get disintegrated caused Ransack to topple onto his butt and start scurrying away in sheer terror from the path of the attack.
After the attack faded, the source would then step into the light: a black MetalGarurumon X with one eye visibly scarred shut. The cyborg wolf simply smirked at the spot where Nightbird was vaporised, showing absolutely no remorse for the friendly fire. "You wanted to find me, dragon? Well, here. I. Am!"
Outside the tunnel, Octavio's team was preparing to follow Luneth and their targets into the tunnel, but moved away from the entrance as BlackMetalGarurumon X's laser blasted out of the tunnel.
"The hell was that?!" Octavio asked, brushing dirt and dust off of his body.
This is where things get serious. You're facing a Mega-level foe now.
Falcomon moves: She dead.
-Smokescreen: Falcomon throws down a smokebomb, covering a 10m radius in a smoke cloud that obscures the vision of everyone inside, resulting in a 50% evasion buff for them and their allies while inside the cloud (not effective for higher-level allies, though). The cloud disperses after 3 turns unless blown away by strong winds. 4 post cooldown. (Duration 0/3)
Ransack moves: -Homing missile: 1/2
Sealsdramon moves: -Thunder Round: (1/3)
BlackMetalGarurumon X: -Shadow Howlitzer: BlackMetalGarurumon X fires a massive laser of dark energy from his shoulder-mounted laser cannon, vaporising anything in its path. 5 post CD, full piercing. (0/5)

Luneth listened intently as the mutant Guardromon explained to him that he and Nightbird were no more than cannon fodder of their little group, knowing just as much about this "Wolf" as the SaviorHackmon did. He did say something of note, though... this Wolf was a ShadowWereGarurumon when they were first hired by their boss, but apparently he had been subjected to countless experiments since then. "Experiments? Mad scientist? What kind of organization do you work for?"
Then a voice called out through the tunnels, a voice that made both Nightbird and Ransack visibly panic. Luneth dropped Nightbird as soon as he heard that voice, backing up a bit in the process. A purple laser shot from the darkness right at the SaviorHackmon. Because he had backed away, he managed to dodge the laser completely. However, he was in perfect view of it to see Nightbird become completely vaporized because of it. His eyes widened as he could still hear her death scream in his head.
She... She's dead...
The SaviorHackmon looked visibly distraught, his eyes unmoving from the spot that the Falcomon once stood. Even when the MetalGarurumon X revealed himself, Luneth refused to look at him. The scene kept replaying in his head... he had never seen any Digimon be deleted like this before. And in such a brutal way...
"You... killed her..." Luneth managed to say, his voice sounding shaken up. "She was your comrade... and you vaporized her just like that... you..." Luneth's claw grip grew tighter. "You... you murderer! Trident Saber!" Without any sort of warning, Luneth unleashed both of his wrist sabers and slashed them at the MetalGarurumon X as much as he could. This dragon was beyond furious by this point.
Meanwhile outside the tunnel, Adrian and OmniShoutmon could see the laser blasting out of the tunnel as well. They both froze up while dusting the dirt off themselves when they realized who was still in there.
"Luneth!" OmniShoutmon cried as he dashed forward into the tunnel, praying that his son was okay.
Distraught with trauma, Luneth furiously uses "Trident Saber" on The Wolf.

Out of the Frying Pan
Mistral's gaze didn't waver during the Sealsramon's speech. She remained silent for a little longer still before answering, "I'm no 'missy', little child," She finally responded. "And I'm no one's caretaker. If my associates are foolish enough to fight an unwinnable battle, then that's that for them. It won't the first time a strong Digimon murdered a group of weak children, and it won't be the last."
The winds around the floating kitty blustered further as she added, "Now, I'm tired of talking. I don't care who you are, or who your friends are. I've got a promise to fulfill."
Hopefully, however, this battle would happen offscreen! The writer doesn't want to be involved in multiple combats all in the same thread at once, and there are more important things than "OMG look how awesomesause my merc is because she can beat down a lower-level NPC lulz!!!"
Meanwhile, the girls and their puppers weren't gonna be bystanders forever! As soon as the smoke cleared they charged into the tunnels to catch up with Luneth, only to find the SaviorHackmon grappling one of the weirder-looking dudes. They only managed to just catch the tailend of the conversation before an ominous voice spoke up, and a large laser shot out through the tunnel! The girls and their good boys all but threw themselves to the sides of the tunnel just to clear out of its path, watching the poor Falcomon get completely incinerated in the process.
Natsu just stared off with a horrified expression. Sure, she'd seen the ghost of a giant volcano Digimon get completely obliterated by a pair of way overpowered cats before, and there was that whole incident with that electric sniper guy... come to think of it, this archipelago didn't offer much in the way of variety, did it? "That's just... too cruel..."
"Son of a bitch..." Gaogamon growled, baring his fangs as his eyes turned bloodshot.
"Haru..." Garurumon muttered to the girl on his back. "I really want to hurt that guy..."
"Yeah..." Was all his tamer had to say, instead watching Luneth fly off the handle and attack the clearly stronger Digimon. Though she supposed if she were a strong Digimon like he was, she wouldn't have reacted too differently. She glanced over towards Natsu and Gaogamon. The doggo Digimon looked like he was just barely stopping himself from charging forward like Luneth. She had to give the idiot dog some credit for that, she supposed. She raised her voice as she called out, "Natsu! Gaomon!"
The two turned to face Haru and the pair nodded. After a big dark blast like the one that killed that bird Digimon they didn't even know, Luneth's old mon and Octavio's gang was probably going to roll in. Things seemed pretty silly around here, but they realized that they couldn't be bystanders at this point. They weren't some super-experienced tamers, or particularly reliable, but there was something they could do, right?
Haru held her Digivice in front of her as she stared back at it. This thing was supposed to react to her and Gabumon's feelings, right? So... what exactly was she feeling right now? Anger seemed too simple a word, after all. She didn't even know the person who died, and was pretty sure she was a bad person. But she apparently died just for this big metal mutt to show how scary and serious he was, and that wasn't right. That kind of dickery crossed the line several times over.
So why was Haru gripping her Digivice like she was trying to crush the damned thing? Outrage? Injustice? It wasn't often that Haru felt much of anything, emotionally-speaking, and she never figured out how to quantify her feelings when they surfaced. Natsu was the one who would point it out to her, normally.
All she knew was that Gabumon wanted to make this The Wolf guy feel some pain, and there wasn't a single instinct that Haru felt that felt different. The Haru took a deep breath as she felt Gabumon do the same. At that moment, her Digivice came alight as Gabumon's Garurumon's form reacted in kind. But Gabumon was the only one going through this.
"Garurumon... Super Evolution!" "Gaogamon... Super Evolution!"
The Digivice's light covered both Champion-level doggos' bodies. The pair stood up on two legs as their front legs shifted into arms. Metal ridges jutted out of Gabumon's back. The ridges opened up, forming eight wings of light upon the beast Digimon's back as Gabumon's body suddenly formed the most surprising feature... pants. Gabumon clenched his newly formed fists complete with opposable thumbs and howled out, "WereGarurumon!"
Similar things occured with Gaomon. Though upon his back rest a jetpack, and his hands and feet had been turning into pure metal. A pair of shades covered his eyes and what appeared to be a title belt appeared around his torso. He slammed his fists together with a loud metal clank, sparks flying as he roared, "MachGaogamon!"
Almost immediately, MachGaogamon's jet pack burst with life as he rocketed forward at full speed towards The Wolf, Natsu grasping onto the fur on his shoulder while holding for dear life. "Hard Knuckle!" He barked, striking out with an iron fist, following up Luneth's assault. It wasn't a particularly strong punch, even for an Ultimate, but the force of the blow was designed to break the opponent's guard and make them a bit susceptible to other attacks, if it hit!
"Digi-Modify! Lightning Implant... Activate!" Haru slashed a card as her Digivice scanned it as WereGarurumon began to crackle with pure energy as his form became a blur. One second WereGarurumon was far away from his target, the very next the wolfman Digimon was in front of The Wolf, a crimson energy covering his claws.
"Kaiser Nail!" He shouted, slashing at The Wolf's chest in an X-shape. Like MachGaogamon's attack, it was designed more to break the opponent's defense, but this one was considerably more powerful! But the newly evolved doggos weren't done just yet! WereGarurumon twisted around, spinning out of the way as the next instant his brother was in the exact spot he was standing as he threw back his fist for another swing.
"Winning Knuckle!" He yelled out as he swung out with his full strength, a fist strong enough to break through shield and other defenses!
- Garurumon and Gaogamon Digivolve to WereGarurumon and MachGaogamon, respectively. - Haru uses the Lightning Implant D-Arc Card to Triple WereGarurumon's Speed for a total of a 250% boost with the card and his passive, Hi-Speed Hunter. Thanks to his other passive, Speed Shooter, WereGarurumon's 250% Speed Boost is converted to a 125% Attack Boost! - MachGaogamon strikes out with Hard Knuckle, also hoping to reduce the enemy's defense. He then follows up using his Combo Knuckle passive, allowing to strike out with his Winning Knuckle ability. - WereGarurumon uses his newfound speed to get in a hit with his Kaiser Nail ability, to deal damage and reduce the target's defense some.
Relevant Abilities: WG-29 Card Name: Lightning Implant Type: Modify Rank: Gold Duration: 3 Post Effect: The target Digimon's speed is increased to three times to that of it's original speed.

Ransack was still stunned at how casually The Wolf had just... vaporized Nightbird as if she was never even there. The masked Falcomon had been the only other merc in their group that he'd actually liked. Both of Ransack's heads wanted to run as far away from this nightmarish island as possible, but they both knew that the Wolf would simply kill them too if they tried to run for it.
While the mutant was having his panic attack, BlackMetalGarurumon X didn't even flinch as Luneth charged at him and started slashing away at him. He merely used his Gatling Gun to parry the SaviorHuckmon's blows. As he saw WereGarurumon and MachGaogamon charging at him from behind Luneth, he realized that he needed to move fast to dodge all of the incoming attacks heading his way.
The cyborg wolf would activate a black market device built into his cybernetics to increase his own reaction time, allowing him to react quickly enough to use 2 moves in quick succession. He quickly leaped backwards and activated a bubble-shaped forcefield to block the incoming attacks from the two wolves (Which would harmlessly bounce off of the bubble due to the level difference between them).
With the attacks blocked, BlackMetalGarurumon X would quickly drop his shield and fire off a quick barrage of homing incendiary missiles upon all three of his opponents. That should give him a bit of breathing room to come up with a plan.
Meanwhile, Ransack would take advantage of the confusion to promptly turn tail and run back towards the entrance to the tunnel, passing OmniShoutmon and Adrian in the process. "NOPE! SCREW THIS! PRISON IS WAY BETTER THAN DYING ON THIS HELLHOLE!"
The mercenary was so focused on running that he ended up ploughing right into Octavio's X3 form and fell onto his back. As the three Xrosed forms of the Xros Army just glared at the mutant, Ransack just raised his arms in surrendeR. "I give up. I'll tell you whatever you want as long as you don't kill me."
BlackMetalGarurumon X: -Speed Gear (Passive): BlackMetalGarurumon X's cybernetics contain an illegal, black market system that briefly speeds up his own reaction time, allowing him to move twice in one turn. After each use, it requires 3 turns to recharge before it can be used again. (0/3) -Security Wall: BlackMetalGarurumon X encases himself in a dome-shaped energy barrier, protecting himself from incoming attacks for 1 turn. 3 post cooldown. (0/3) -Napalm Bomber: BlackMetalGarurmon X unleashes a barrage of homing incendiary missiles from the missile pods on his legs and left shoulder, which home in on enemies in a 50m radius. 4 post cooldown, increased accuracy. Adrian and OmniShoutmon both arrived just a bit too late to see what took place with the Falcomon being obliterated out of existence. When they got there, all the saw were the BlackMetalGarurumon X and the horrified expressions of everyone that was present at the time when the deed was committed. Even the mutant Guardromon look horrified at his companion. "What happened here...?!"
Luneth didn't care that his father was there now; the SaviorHackmon was pissed. But despite his flurry of attacks towards the metal wolf, BlackMetalGarurumon X managed to parry all of them with his Gatling Gun. Then something interesting happened when WereGarurumon and MachGaogamon joined the battle. He activated something within himself that seemingly increased his speed, letting him both activate a shield that blocked the two Ultimate level canine Digimon's attacks, but also drop the shield afterwards and fire a barrage of homing missiles right towards the three of them! "Aaaaugh!" Luneth yelled as he was unable to avoid or block the missiles at all, taking the full front of the attack and being slammed right into the wall of the cave. He struggled to sit back up, holding his sides where the missiles had hit him. So this was the strength of a Mega level, but at the same time something felt very wrong here.
"He's so fast!" Adrian gasped, unable to believe what he had just seen. "Fast and strong," OmniShoutmon added as Ransack ran right past them to flee the cave. "Look at the way the BlackMetalGarurumon X fought the others... I have a feeling they've been augmented in some way, which makes him even more dangerous than the average Mega level Digimon. We'll need all the firepower we can get..." The golden dragon turned towards his human partner and grinned. "Ready to shift this into overdrive, Adri?"
Adrian blinked before grinning back. "You know I am." Adrian then focused on channeling his energy into the Digivice, transferring it right to his partner.
"OmniShoutmon, Mega Evolution! RedMagnamon!"
In OmniShoutmon's place now stood a tall, red-scaled dragon-man warrior Digimon with bright golden armor and red eyes. With a fiery anger, he stared right at the Wolf. "So you want to hurt my son and my friends so badly, huh? Bring it then, punk."

Out of the Frying Pan
So apparently The Wolf didn't care if someone was debuting their Ultimate evolutions, because he just blocked their opening move like it was nothing. That was so rude! Well... if The Wolf wanted to go around using lame shield moves, then Haru and her sister's partner could also play lame! Because blocking attacks was apparently part of being a doggo, or something!
"GUARD KNUCKLE!!!" MachGaogamon yelled out, clenching his fists and using the most awesome defensive technique in the universe... just punching the enemy's attack until it stopped being a threat. Which also worked against homing missiles, apparently. Meanwhile, Haru had slashed yet another card through her Digivice's scanner, and a golden shield appeared around the punch-happy doggo. With Luneth and WereGarurumon behind him, The Wolf's attack would be completely avoided and...
Oh wait, apparently Luneth wanted to get hit by a bunch of missiles or something. What probably wasn't the most tactically sound thing to do but whatever floated his boat. Then again, it wasn't like the silly dragon boy knew how to coordinate with them at all, unless it was dining on burgers or abandoning them to go with some random large bunny man to help run a bakery or whatever.
Regardless, neither of the Fujisakis were particularly thrilled about seeing their friend get hurt, however easily avoidable it could have been. But Luneth's dad seemed to be even more pissed, as he Digivolved to his own Mega form, and was ready fight! Haru had seen some high-level Digimon do some awesome stuff before, and she was excited to see what this RedMagnamon could do! And he... just didn't do anything right away.
Welp, if all RedMagnamon was gonna do was grandstand a bit instead of smacking the Wolf on the nose for beating his child, then Haru supposed she could do something. "Gabumon!" She yelled out, and that was all her partner needed to hear.
"Borealis Blow!" He yelled out, vanishing for a second, appearing in front of The Wolf. "Bad dog!" Then WereGarurumon would attempt to punch the armored foe right on the nose, before moving back towards his brother. At the very least, it could serve as a distraction for Luneth to recover a bit, and for his father to actually do something.
- MachGaogamon uses his Guard Knuckle to block part of The Wolf's attack. Haru uses a Mirror Shield card that won't be able to reflect it, but should probably negate the rest of the damage. - WereGarurumon uses his Borealis Blow to quickly strike at The Wolf, enhancing his speed by 100%, giving him a 350% Speed Increase which is converted to a 175% Attack Boost. - Mistral is probably eating nachos out of a Sealsdramon skull right now.

BlackMetalGarurumon X had to admit he was impressed at how the MachGaogamon was able to block most of his missiles by layering defensive abilities and cards, not to mention that the WereGarurumon's punch actually managed to hurt despite the level difference between the two. "Pretty clever, I have to admit. It's almost a shame I have to kill you, since you would've made for good pack members." The cyborg admitted, as he used his hand to wipe away a dribble of blood that was leaking from his mouth due to the punch. Despite The Wolf gaining respect for his canine adversaries, his attention was soon drawn away by the arrival of Adrian and OmniShout-no, RedMagnamon. Sensing the other Mega's power, BlackMetalGarurumon's mouth widened into a feral grin. "Oh, now that's more like it! I'm gonna have fun fighting you, Goldie! Buuuut, I suppose we should make this fight a bit more fair." BlackMetalGarurumon X begrudgingly admitted, before snapping his fingers. "After all, a real wolf always travels in a pack."Behind the Wolf, four glowing yellow eyes appeared in the shadows as four unidentified things moved out of the shadows to stand by BlackMetalGarurumon X. "Oh, you didn't think I was the only experiment going on here on this island, now did you?" The Wolf taunted, before issuing commands to his "pack". "You four deal with the small fries. The red one's mine.""COMMAND ACCEPTED. MOVING TO DELETE INTRUDERS." The quartet of purple-and-green experiments replied in unison as they began their attacks. Two would charge at WereGarurumon and MachGaogamon, stretching their wiry arms life taffy in order to use them as whips against the two canines. The two remaining experiments would open their mouths to reveal gun barrels, which they used to fire energy bullets right at Luneth. However, the bullets would be intercepted by a barrage of flying metal spikes, revealed to have come from ShogunOctomon X3 as he finally caught up with everyone else. "Sorry I'm late, we had a bit of interrogating to do with that Guardromon and Tentomon outside. The others are keeping guard over those two, so it's just me for now." ShogunOctomon X3 explained, as his mecha cracked it's knuckles. "Now let's dance, shall we?"While that was happening BlackMetalGarurumon X charged straight at RedMagnamon with a howl, claws ready to try and impale the armor-clad dragon. While WereGarurumon was able to deal a pretty solid blow to The Wolf, it didn't seem like it would be enough to stop him completely. However, he seemed to be relatively impressed with RedMagnamon in particular, stating that he was going to have fun fighting the Mega level dragon Digimon. However, before he did anything else, he snapped his "fingers" and along came four neon pink and green robots at his side.
"Experiments...?!" Luneth gasped when Wolf asked if they thought he was the only one on this island.
"What the hell is going on here?!" Adrian asked as he looked back and forth at the various robots. These things didn't even look alive, where in the world did they come from? Well it didn't matter, since they were now ganging up on everyone else. MachGaogamon and WereGarurumon getting one apiece, while Luneth was stuck facing two at the exact same time, both firing energy bullets right at Luneth.
Time seemed to slow down as RedMagnamon watched the energy bullets flying towards his son, his eyes widening. There was no way the SaviorHackmon was going to dodge that in time. "LUNETH...!" RedMagnamon gasped as he turned his body to face his son. He wouldn't be fast enough to intercept the bullets...
Thankfully a barrage of spike projectiles from ShogunOctomon X3 intercepted the energy bullets, saving Luneth's life in the process. He explained that the Guardromon and Tentomon from earlier are being kept guard of by the others in the army, leaving just him for the moment. "You saved my life, Octavio... I will never forget this. You have my gratitude."
With that out of the way, RedMagnamon turned back towards the Wolf with a very sinister glare. "How dare you try and murder my son in cold blood?! You're going to pay for that, you modified freak!"
Adrian then felt the attack stream into his head. "Magma Punch!" RedMagnamon's fist then began charging up with red fiery energy before dashing right towards the BlackMetalGarurumon X, aiming to deal a solid punch right at the same time that his own attack went through to the armor-clad Digimon.
Meanwhile Luneth looked back at the now single robot he was facing with a great look of anger present on his face. This Digimon liked to shoot guns? Well, Luneth had a gun of his own. He opened his mouth and fired a barrage of fire shots right at the robotic "Digimon," much like a machine gun. "Meteor Storm!"

Out of the Frying Pan
Haru frowned as she watched events unfold. Four random weirdos showed up out of nowhere, apparently unable to be detected by means of digital signals or WereGarurumon and MachGaogamon's noses, kind of like some kind of... narrative asspull. She shrugged, figuring that at least WereGarurumon got to sucker punch the bad doggo.
To be perfect honest, she didn't fully understand RedMagnamon's rage. Of course the enemy villain would try to kill Luneth... he was evil, Luneth was a fighter, and he had attacked the bad guy. But looking over to Natsu's worried expression, and the outrage that was hiding underneath, she figured it was just another one of those things that she couldn't understand.
The Genetimon group had begun to attack, with two going towards Luneth, but Octavio's gang managed to show up in time to help him. Haru needed to come up with a plan. RedMagnamon could probably go toe-to-toe with the big bad wolf, at least for the time being, so taking out the small fry was important. Even if they were lower level they could still do something.
Which meant that the Genetimon needed to be dealt with as quickly as possible. But she couldn't exactly come up with a proper strategy against such... stupidly bizarre creatures. Haru sighed... well... if she couldn't come up with a plan, she should trust in her allies, right? Well, maybe not Gaomon.
"Gabumon, do what you can!" She ordered. WereGarurumon nodded, then turned to MachGaogamon. "Brother! Cover me!"
"On it!" He yelled out, zooming to block his brother's attack, as well as taking the hit from the whip at him. He let out a growl of pain and frustration, but he wasn't going to let them get away that easily! He reached out to grab the lashing whip, and if successful, he'd try to hurl the lanky bastards straight into the wall nearest towards the two that attacked Luneth.
Whether it worked out or not, WereGarurumon made his move, zooming around his foes and unleashing a volley of countless energy arrows directly at his targets. "Media Rain!"
- Luneth and RedMagnamon's Fire-Based Attacks are boosted by the Terrain Effect, before its effect ended. - WereGarurumon's Borealis Blow hit last round, so with his Pack Tactics passive, WereGarurumon increases its cooldown by 1 in order to lower MachGaogamon's Winning Knuckle s cooldown by 1. - MachGaogamon covers his brother, taking both attacks, then attempts to grab their wires and swing them both into the Genetimon fighting Luneth. More about repositioning and sending a message moreso than dealing damage. - WereGarurumon uses his Media Rain to blast whatever Genetimon that happens to be within 50m of each other. Considering that's half the size of a football field, that's a good distance to cover. Thanks to various boosts, the damage is nearly tripled. - Meanwhile, Buddy, Patty, and Thog found a friendly Crabmon. They're playing patty-cake right now.
