Shortly after SuperShoutmon had picked himself up from the shallow water after BioGreymon gave him one hell of a wallop, a new player would join the party by landing right next to SuperShoutmon, splashing him with even more water. It was a Yaksamon, one who nonchalantly said that he'd love to chat if he didn't have any problems to attend to at the moment. "Yeah? Join the club," SuperShoutmon said, referring to the two Bio-Hybrid enemies the group was currently facing.
Scratch that, make it three! As soon as Mantis pulled himself up, out came Bio-Knowledge flying from the woods right above the entire group. "Bio-Courage, Bio-Love, it seems that the both of you have gotten some visitors out here as well."
"Oh, you have got to be kidding me right now," Adrian growled as he looked up at the giant, red-helmeted bug.
"Another Bio-Hybrid? How many more of you jokers are there?!"
"Way more than you can even think of, short-stack," Bio-Courage said with a wicked grin before he sent a huge blast of fire from his mouth right towards SuperShoutmon, Mantis and Mantis's newly formed doppleganger. SuperShoutmon would effectively dodge out of the way, but would Mantis or his doppleganger be able to do so?
Back with Bio-Love, Alucard and Poseidon were both able to dodge her attacks, but Poseidon's maneuver still caused him to get singed by it somewhat. She grimaced as Alucard prepared his attack, an energy arrow aimed right for her eyes. She smirked as she was able to dodge it almost effortlessly. It was then that she would notice the little albino girl watching the scene... and an evil smirk formed on her face. Perhaps she was one of these sorry excuses for a Digimon's partner... what would she spark if something bad were to happen to her?
"FIRE FLAP!" Covering herself in fire, Bio-Love darted at full speed right for Miyako, in an attempt to not only scorch her with fire but deliver a blow so strong that someone like her would possibly die immediately upon contact! SHE LIVED FOR THIS KIND OF SUFFERING!
Meanwhile, SuperShoutmon may have figured out a way that they could possibly get the upper hand on the Bio-Hybrids. "Adrian, boost me!" SuperShoutmon yelled out to his partner. However, as Adrian pulled out a card, Bio-Knowledge was quick enough to swoop down and grab Adrian with all four of his arms, bringing him high up into the air and not allowing him to use any of his power-up cards on anybody.
"Finders keepers...!" Bio-Knowledge chuckled as he stole Adrian's card holder for himself.
"ADRIAN! Damn it, let go of him!" SuperShoutmon demanded, getting real pissed at the Bio-Hybrids by this point.
"Very poor choice of words," Bio-Knowledge said with a grin, before doing just that... letting go of Adrian, while they were still up in the air. And no one came to save him... he was falling too fast. Thankfully the sand was not a hard surface at all, so he didn't sustain any major injuries from the fall, but still... it hurt.
"Damn... damn it all...!"
"Adrian!" SuperShoutmon tried to run over to his partner, but he was immediately pelted by an unexpected and incoming Electro Shocker attack. "AAAAAAAAUGH!" The attack was far stronger than he was anticipating, even with his Molten Armor protecting him. Ultimately, the attack knocked the music dragon out completely, causing him to devolv back into Shoutmon. He was officially out for the count.
"How pathetic..." Bio-Courage fires a "Mega Flame" attack at SuperShoutmon, Mantis and his doppleganger, though SuperShoutmon dodges the attack.
Moves Mega Flame: Bio-Courage breathes in and fires a powerful blast of pure fire from his mouth out at whatever is in front of him. Cooldown is two posts.
Passives Bio-Boost: Thanks to Tadashi's Bio-Hybrid upgrade, all of his abilities are given a 50% boost in damage, on top of their already impressive strength. However, in return their speed decreases by 20%.
Cooldowns -Tail Whip (1/1) Ready to use! -Mega Flame (0/2) Bio-Love successfully dodges Alucard's "Sacred Bow" attack, before setting her sights on poor defenseless Miyako and deciding to use "Fire Flap" on her!
Moves Fire Flap: Bio-Love uses her powers cover herself in fire before she dashes towards her target at full speed in an attempt to divebomb them. Cooldown is three posts.
Passives Bio-Boost: Thanks to Yua's Bio-Hybrid upgrade, her evasion isboosted by 50%, making attacks harder to hit her. However, in return their defense decreases by 20%.
Cooldowns -Bir-Flame (1/2) -Fire Flap (0/3) Bio-Knowledge fucking annihilates SuperShoutmon with one well-timed "Electro Shocker" blast, defeating him and devolving him back into Shoutmon.
Moves Electro Shocker: Harry conjures up a big ball of electricity before shooting it outward, causing great shock damage. Cooldown is one post.
Passives Bio-Boost: Thanks to Harry's Bio-Hybrid upgrade, all his abilities are given a 30% boost in damage, on top of their already impressive strength!
Cooldowns -Shocking Grasp (2/3) -Electro Shocker (0/1)

It was a shame Mantis showing up to assist SuperShoutmon didn't seem to bother BioGreymon. Instead he had an unwanted playmate following in the form of BioKabuterimon. Poseidon was getting more worried despite not outwardly showing it.
How many Bio-Hybrids were there was a question Poseidon wanted the answer to but seeing as Bio-Courage was not willing to reveal the info it was obvious there was more than three. Oh joy. If two were problematic at the champion level Poseidon didn't want to think what more than three were capable of.
Meanwhile Alucard's arrow missed it's mark as Bio-Love dodged the angel digimon's attack much to his annoyance. While such annoyance didn't show Poseidon knew it was present. This Bio-Hybrid had to be roughly as fast as his father and that in itself was a frightening thought to Poseidon. Then Alucard noticed Bio-Love paying more attention to the young girl making an bad feeling churn in the Angemon's digi core.
When Bio-Love covered herself in fire and flew at high speed for Miyako, Alucard flew after BioBirdramon. 'Of course I had to be right.' he thought as he took hold of his staff before it extended to its full length as he flew alongside Bio-Love swinging the staff down towards BioBirdramon as he said "Only a coward targets one who can't defend themselves."
Meanwhile things with SuperShoutmon were getting worse as Bio-Knowledge had taken hold of Adrian. Narrowing his eyes Poseidon ran towards the bug hoping to get to Adrian before the human was dropped. While not as fast as he was in water Poseidon was a good runner but on land he wasn't the most agile as his form was good for absorbing hits.
It seemed he wasn't fast enough though as Adrian hit the sand but the human didn't seem injured. Unfortunately Adrian's partner was not only unconscious but back to his rookie form. Though scared Poseidon stepped in front of Adrian to protect the human and said "Back off you foul pest!" In response he had tensed his muscles lowering his golden horn showing he meant business.

It wasn't even a question as to whether or not Mantis or Mantis' doppelganger would be able to get out of the way. The latter would leap over the gout of flame, blades twirling as it descended to try and land some slashes for the dinosaur. About as basic as the usual order at a Starbucks. But it was something. One would expect the source of the clone to be there and attacking with it, but...no, the Yaksamon was elsewhere. Miyako had counted herself out of harm's way, only for the Birdramon to turn and charge right for her. ... There was a look of defiance. There was nothing said. Nothing to gain. Spite, every inch of the damned way through. If this was to be her end, then there would be no satisfaction for this piece of dog-shit. Yet, it was an ending that never came. For the one known as Praying Mantis had already lost a tamer he had been beholden to before. There was no chance in hell he was going to allow it to happen again. Interceding himself between the attack and Miyako, the already battered Champion sustained the brunt of it. Fire charred off the frame. Fire exposed what was beneath, and... ...That wasn't a wireframe. For the briefest of moments, one could see a flicker of bone-white armor, an eye on the center of the Digimon's chest, before there was only a seared husk of a Yaksamon. What...the hell? That it was even able to speak, still... "...Perhaps...She was right. Perhaps I -should- just kill every last one of you. You're proof as to why there's no merit to humanity. No merit to keeping any one of you apes alive...Yes, that's what I'll do. I'll put all of you 'Bio-Hybrids' to the sword, if it's the last thing I do. It's what you all deserve, after all..."They tried to kill a child. They tried to kill a child. Not only that, they already killed several children. There was no sense in redemption for any of them. Not now, not ever. Miyako simply took a few steps back. There was silence still for a few moments. If one were to look at her hand, they might notice a white symbol--a flower, shining for the briefest of moments...Before the symbol flipped around, and turned black. "...Maybe you're right, for once." Locking eyes with the Birdramon, Mantis' own glowed before they shot a Photon Beam for the oversized KFC. It might serve as a reason to run before anything worse happened, given there were probably SEVERAL people here who might also take issue with what just happened!
There's Something Witty For Passives Here: The Cry of the World's Heart [RAM Upgrade Giga - Passive]: ...It is a difficult feeling to describe, but Mantis bears a constant reminder of his past, and everything that has to do with the now. His time as a puppet and all he did as one. This passive is a codifier of two simple words. Never again. The cry of the Digital World all but affirms that.
Praying Mantis is completely immune to moves that inflict mind control, taunts, and pacification. Anything that is an attempt to influence his mental state in any way just DOES NOT work outside of dealing damage.
Macroaggression [Passive]: Mantis’ wanton aggression towards literally anything that draws his ire grows even further in this form. For this reason, his abilities are all amplified in power by 30%. This may be the same number as his rookie form, but? You have to consider it’s 30% for a champion.
Horrible news for anything that’s below one. Even armors.
Absolutely Motivated [RAM Upgrade - Passive]: Passive resistances mean nothing to Yaksamon. You’re going to take the blunt force trauma, and you’re going to like it.
Sick Of You [Passive]: All of Yaksamon’s basic attacks deal the same damage as a 0 post cooldown attack.
Oh boy, here I go threatening death on something in a plot thread again. Except this time it's not Ricochet. The Doppelganger does the big jumpies over the Mega Flame before attacking BioGreymon with...A basic attack with cream. Meanwhile, Mantis tanks Bio-Love's attack, soaks MORE damage and loses his faith in humanity. Again. As well as his skin. Miyako's Crest of Light...has...done something. Or turned into something. That's probably not gonna bite anyone in the ass. 1/3 turns elapsed on the Doppelganger. Cooldowns: Deathbound: 3/3 Photon Beam: 0/2

To get the boring scenario out of the way first, Mantis's doppelganger leapt up into the air to dodge the flame and delivered some sword slashes to Bio-Courage. As usual, these slashes wouldn't harm the BioGreymon much, and the red helmeted dinosaur simply delivered an open-palm strike to the doppelganger in response.
Now, time for the main event...
Time seemed to slow down to a crawl when Bio-Love made her move. Adrian saw it all... he could see the BioBirdramon dashing towards the young girl, and all he could do was shout "NO!" as he extended his arm to her. Shoutmon was defeated, Adrian was laying on the sand, and there was nothing he could do about it. The only ones with any power to do something would be Alucard, Poseidon, and of course the newcomer Mantis.
Alucard would act first, flying next to the BioBirdramon and attempting to swing his staff at her to stop her. Of course, Bio-Love was so focused on her target that she wouldn't let ANYONE get in her way! She swerved to the side, bashing into Alucard to interrupt his attack before continuing onwards right towards Miyako. And that is where Mantis stepped in...
The Yaksamon took the full brunt of the flaming attack, the frame being burnt by the fire and revealing what could only be described as the husk of a Yaksamon remaining. "What the hell..."
It only got worse from there. Something within Mantis seemed to have been triggered, as he stated that he would be the one to kill each and every Bio-Hybrid out there, claiming that there was no merit to humanity. Adrian himself was conflicted on the matter... yes, these Bio-Hybrids were beyond evil and deserved punishment, but to kill them... that wasn't any different than what they were doing to the other Digimon just moments ago! Adrian looked over at Miyako, where he could see a glowing white flower mark on her hand turn black as she agreed with Mantis's decision.
The Bio-Hybrids themselves didn't seem all too phased, especially Bio-Love. "You? Kill US?!" she asked with a laugh before Mantis shot a Photon Beam attack at her. Sure, there was no way she could avoid it, AND it hurt her much more because of her low defense, but it was still like firing a Champion level attack at an Ultimate level Digimon... it didn't do too much outside of lowering her HP a bit more. "You're not even an Ultimate level!"
"How do you expect to best us at such pitiful power levels?"
"Us Tamers always find a way," Adrian said as he struggled to get up. "Just wait until Kaya comes back with help-"
Suddenly, out of nowhere something crashed into the middle of the group... it was Kaya! And Hawkeye as Aquilamon! And both looked worse for wear, bruised and beaten up... "Oh my god... Kaya!"
"There's... more of them..."
Something else came with them. Another Angemon appeared from the sky, landing next to Hawkeye and stomping a foot down on the bird's chest. This Angemon, however, was different in the fact that his helmet was colored red. There was no doubt about it: he was a Bio-Hybrid too. The Angemon looked over at the other three and coldly said, "You still haven't finished these idiots by now?"
"Bio-Hope?"
"We already finished all of our assignments," A sudden voice said. "What's taking the grand Trio so long?" Coming into view would be four more humans, three of them with similarly malicious looks like the Bio-Hybrids before them, while one looked more... not into it, as if she were conflicted. But of course, she would stand by her teammates anyways.
"Bio-Friendship... Bio-Purity... Bio-Reliable... Bio-Light..."
"Do the Trio need help taking these morons down?" Bio-Reliable asked in a Scottish accent, with he and the remaining three human Bio-Hybrids taking out their Digivices.
"As a matter of fact, we were in the process of winning, but if the four of you wish to join in, be my guest."
Eight Bio-Hybrids... and the group was already struggling with three! If the remaining four were able to Bio-Hybrid Digivolve, then this could be goodbye for our brave heroes!

Bio-Love didn't seem diverted from her efforts to try and murder Miyako but Alucard's efforts to stop her meant nothing as BioBirdramon smashed into him causing him to fly off balance. Though he managed to keep ahold of his staff and right himself fairly fast he knew he wouldn't be able to catch the Bio-Hybrid in time. Cursing under his breath he flapped his wings in an attempt to at least get within range for him to be able to launch one of his attacks.
Mantis' efforts were what had stopped Bio-Love as the husk of a Yaskamon but what happened next caught Alucard by surprise as the husk not only seemed very much alive but was now sounding very different then he was mere moments ago. He was speaking of killing not just the Bio-Hybrids but humans in general. If the group survived this Mantis could be dealt with then.
With Bio-Love distracted Alucard decided not to waste time. If one could be taken down now was the best chance while BioBirdramon was distracted by Mantis. His fist became charged with his holy power before he silently threw a punch his holy power shooting toward the fiery bird.
Poseidon glared at the other Bio-Hybrids as he moved closer to Adrian silently offering his assistance in helping him up. True tamers had a unique way of finding more power in a tight spot. "Tamer's aren't the only ones capable of such power but are the most known for it." Poseidon said with a growl.
When a human girl and an Aquilamon crashed in the middle of the group Poseidon had a bad feeling in the pit of his stomach. "Please don't be what I think it is..."
At the warning of their being more of them Poseidon groaned since they were struggling with the three they had. "Oh joy." Poseidon muttered with easily detected sarcasm.
When an Angemon came into view with a red helmet Poseidon's eyes grew wide but by this point had flown in front of Bio-Hope with a cold glare at the other Angemon. "So the Bio-Hybrids are named for the first crests it seems." A frown appeared on the vampire hunter's face but that was all the emotion he showed as he coldly said "More like monstrous perversions to the memory of those digimon. You all have a lot of nerve."
Poseidon's mind was spinning at hearing there were eight in all. Alucard looked over the group knowing the odds of survival were low if they stayed to fight. Looking at Adrian, he said "It seems retreat is our only option. We can't fight all of them."
OOC: Alucard attacks Bio-Love with his Hand of Fate. Hand of Fate: He charges holy energy into his fist and then attempts to strike his opponent at close range. When at long range he throws a punch that causes a beam of energy to come from his fist.

That was cute. They thought they could be any iota of intimidating. They thought they mattered. They thought so many things that were far too generous for how...INCONSEQUENTIAL they truly were in the grand scheme of things.
"Ultimate? No, I am simply a specter. The certainty your days are now numbered." Miyako spoke, clear as day, and with the edge of a keen blade. She knew full well who stood besides her. A forgotten relic of eld that was unfortunately brought out to face the day in the worst manner possible.
...Grinding this down to levels...
"You talk a big game...Yet, your incompetent teammates couldn't kill a few measly champions. You should probably rethink your choices in allies." Mantis snorted. "Could you do me a favor and hasten your own extinction? I'm tired. No, really, since all you apes are good for is trying to kill each other like animals, please. Just do that."
There was absolutely no way to tell if Mantis was bluffing or not. But really? ...No, this had gone on long enough. Probably. Maybe. Definitely.
...And Miyako did not want to risk them coming through a digiport. At all. Three was bad enough, seven was just asking for trouble that was ultimately....unnecessary. To say nothing of everyone else being downed...Maybe if there was a bit more preparation...

Despite everything that was going on, Alucard still had a bit more fight left in him it seemed. He thought he was smart, charging his fist with holy energy and punching Bio-Love with it while she was distracted. Unfortunately, all it managed to do was cause a tiny bit of damage to the BioBirdramon, causing her to angrily look back at Alucard and push him down to the ground with her talons. "It would be cute how you're still trying to attack us if you weren't growing to become more annoying than anything."
Now it was Miyako's turn to be a bit creepy, being the one to say that the Bio-Hybrids' days were numbered. While Shoutmon was still knocked out, Adrian, Kaya and Hawkeye were visibly a bit unnerved by what she had to say. None of the Bio-Hybrids themselves seemed to be the least bit intimidated by this little girl, however, nor were they intimidated by her Yaksamon partner.
In fact, what Mantis had to say next more or less angered them, taunting them on how they couldn't easily kill a few Champion levels, and also asking them to hasten their extinction a bit more. "You realize that we're humans too, right?" Kaya asked, unable to help but be a bit offended by Mantis's comments.
"On the same side against these lunatics as you are, even."
"These idiots aren't fun to toy with anymore," Bio-Courage angrily said as he picked up Shoutmon, followed by Bio-Love picking up Hawkeye, Bio-Knowledge with Mantis and Bio-Hope with Alucard respectively. Each one would place their hands, claws or talons onto them as if they are going to rip their prey apart... because they were.
"HAWKEYE!"
"Shoutmon!"
"You were right, Yaksamon... we should have just done this from the start!"
The pulling would begin. With all four Digimon having no way to escape, they could each feel the pain in their waists as the data slowly began to rip apart. Wounds were being formed, the data from them continuously escaping, and none of them could do anything about it... with both Shoutmon and Hawkeye screaming in absolute pain, Adrian and Kaya could only watch in horror as their own partners were being ripped apart right in front of their very eyes! The other Bio-Hybrids, save for Bio-Light, all looked as if they were enjoying this, too...
This could be it. This looked like it could be the grizzly end for our heroes...
Then, just like magic, the four evolved Bio-Hybrids disappeared, leaving behind nothing but orange magic sparkles. It didn't take long for the remaining Bio-Hybrids to disappear in a similar fashion, leaving behind only our heroes as they fell to the sand below. Hawkeye devolved back to Hawkmon as Kaya and Adrian ran up to their respective partners.
"Hawkeye! Hawkeye, are you okay?" Kaya asked with great worry.
"Other... other than a great pain in my waist, I am fine..."
"Where did those creeps go...?" Shoutmon asked as he looked around.
"I sent them away," a sudden voice would boom out. Floating down closer to the group on a giant book would be none other than Weston Sparkwood, a Wisemon companion of Adrian's and Kaya's. "I teleported each of them to random, uninhabited areas of the Digital World. It will take quite a while for them to find their way back."
"Weston? How did you-"
"I have my ways of acquiring information in the Digital World, Adrian... especially when they involve a panicked group of Digimon fleeing a peaceful island such as this." Weston looked over at Alucard, Poseidon, Miyako and Mantis next. "Greetings to the four of you... I sincerely hope none of you were too badly hurt by whoever those Digimon were."

Alucard's attack didn't have the effect he was hoping for. Sure it caused damage but it was frustratingly minor and only seemed to annoy BioBirdramon who used her talons to drive the Angemon to the ground. He groaned using his staff to push himself up marks from the Bio-Hybrids talons showing along his chest and they were fairly deep. Looking at Bio-Love Alucard seemed to be channeling his son as he cocked his head with a cheeky grin at her comment before he said "I'm flattered you think I'm cute but you are definitely not my type." Poseidon just stared at his father with his mouth agape for a second before realizing it was a case of father channeling son and briefly snickered.
Though Alucard didn't seem creeped out by Miyako, like the others, Poseidon was as he shuddered the tingling sensation felt throughout his thick fur. Then when Bio-Courage angrily said that these idiots aren't fun to toy with anymore Poseidon bristled angrily but that anger didn't last long as Shoutmon was picked up by BioGreymon, BioBirdramon picked up Hawkeye, BioKabuterimon picked up Mantis, and BioAngemon grabbed Alucard. It was clear the Bio-Hybrids intent was to rip their prey apart and thought Alucard struggled while using his staff to strike at the side of Bio-Hope's neck it seemed futile.
"D-DAD! Poseidon called out with tears beginning to stream down his face and tensed to make a move to attack Bio-Hope.
"POSEIDON! NO! Protect the humans and lead them out of here." Alucard gasped out somehow not screaming in pain from the many wounds forming in him. Poseidon, though still visibly terrified, headed for the humans. Though he wanted to try and save his father he obeyed his father's orders. Yet he saw that Adrian and Kaya were frozen in place from their horror even though the Ikkakumon was gently trying to nudge them away from there.
Then, as if by magic, the Bio-Hybrids vanished with two separate spells not that anyone would complain. Like Adrian and Kaya, Poseidon ran over to Alucard as he hit the ground with a pained groan. Glad the Bio-Hybrids seemed to be gone but not foolish enough to dedigivolve yet, Poseidon got to his father's side and began gently nuzzling the Angemon before he asked "Dad? Are you okay?"
"Other than it hurting to breathe, I think so." Alucard gasped out causing Poseidon to gently roll his father on his back seeing many frightening wounds covering the Angemon's body that made Alucard's earlier chest wounds seem a minor deal even though the additional wounds weren't life threatening.
The sudden voice made Poseidon wary as he moved protectively in front of his father ready to digivolve if he had to but calmed down after hearing both that the Wisemon had teleported them to random places and that it seemed that at least Adrian seemed to know him. "They weren't exactly digimon as we understand them. They seemed part digimon and part human." Alucard gasped out somehow pushing himself upright.
"Dad, you should lay back down. You're hurt."
"Poseidon, I'll be fine. I can rest later." Alucard said in a correcting tone before he looked at Weston and said "Please forgive my son, Weston was it? As you can see we all have been under a lot of stress as these things seem to have no sense of decency or kindness towards others. They felt no guilt in murdering a bunch of innocent digimon and treated it like a sick game."

If the Bio-Hybrids were expecting any sort of noise to be had from Mantis as they were doing that? They weren't getting any. Spite was the biggest motivator here. And quite frankly? This was actually one cause of death for him. Go figure. Then?
A very convenient sequence of events had promptly unfolded that were, admittedly, more funny than anything considering it was very specifically petty towards the Bio-Hybrids. "...Good. Them being extremely inconvenienced in such a manner makes up for -all- of the damage I just took because of those creatures." Mantis spoke towards Weston, dragging himself to his feet.
"I am not fine, Weston, but thank you for the concern. Wounds heal, ultimately. Not that...big of a deal." A glance was given towards two humans. Adrian and Kaya, specifically.
"If you two are expecting an apology, then you're going to be sorely disappointed. Prove me wrong, and I might reconsider. As far as I know, and as far as I care, humanity is responsible for a bunch of privileged monsters that tried to make me relive my greatest failure--the death of my tamer. Ergo, the entirety of my hate, reignited as it is, is upon them.
I mean every word I said. They will die."
The burnt out husk of a Champion shambled on over to Miyako's side, who...admittedly was processing what had occurred. The black mark on her hand had not faded. There was a quiet sigh from her, as she held up her Digivice and withdrew Mantis into it.
Gotta love the v-pet program. "...He'll be fine." Miyako spoke. "Reminders of the past hurt. Especially the bad parts."
There was a brief pause as Miyako glanced down at herself. "Physically? Uh. It's just burns. They weren't too bad--Mantis took most of that attack, so I can get them treated. On about every other front? I think it's called shellshock...? I'll...probably get over it. Feels like my hand's...weirdly warm, though..."
She finally looked down. "Oh. Huh. That...wasn't like that earlier..." Better for elsewhere. Miyako glanced around. "I'm going to go and recuperate at Rosewood and...well, do my best to warn people where I can. My Tamernet handle's Sauron if anyone needs me."
That. Had to be a joke, right? Nobody's handle could unironically be Sauron. "There were...Seven of them, right? No, wait, there was an eighth...Did anyone get a good look at their faces? They also all seemed to be transforming into the Digimon that brought about the first crests. Weird amount of...something there..."

Weston had to take a moment to process what Alucard had said about the enemies that were attacking them. "I'm sorry... come again? You say they were... part human and part Digimon? That means that those Digimon that were attacking you were spirit users, correct?"
"Not at all," Adrian corrected the Wisemon, "when Alucard says, 'part human, part Digimon,' he meant it."
"They've been... modified on a molecular level," Hawkeye said. "I could sense it... they're humans with actual Digimon data inside of them. I've never seen anything so... so horribly wrong before involving humans."
"Homeostasis..."
Mantis's take to Adrian and Kaya didn't make things much better. He admitted that he finds humanity to be nothing more than creating monsters out to recreate his previous failure, which was the death of his original Tamer. Kaya and Hawkeye both immediately understood that kind of pain. "My own Tamer died once before," Hawkeye said to the Yaksamon before he left. "I know what that feels like... that burning anger that builds up inside of you... it changes you, makes you bitter and hateful, drives you to want nothing more than revenge. But trust me when I say that... while those Bio-Hybrids definitely deserve death, not every human does. I do hope you can see that in time."
Miyako, at least, reassured everyone that Mantis would be fine eventually. She stated that she just had some light burns since Mantis took most of the attack. "Attack? You mean... one of these 'Bio-Hybrids' tried to attack you directly? How awful..." The weird symbol on her hand was definitely concerning, but Miyako herself did not seem to be all that concerned with it, at the moment.
Weston then listened in with Alucard as he explained how the Bio-Hybrids were slaying innocent Digimon as if it were some form of sick game. "This is not good... this is not good at all..." Weston said as he paced back and forth on his book. "We cannot let them go freely, we need to warn others about this. Rosewood, Terminus, Whitewater, Ys... everybody that we can. If you all weren't here, the damage would've been even greater than it already is."
Did anyone get a good look at their faces? "Yeah, I know what some of them look like," Adrian said. "Not the giant beetle or the angel, though... I never saw their human forms."
"Why does this keep happening? Why do these... these freaks keep showing up out of nowhere and try to kill us?"
"Those sons o' Biyomons hurt like hell," Shoutmon groaned as he sat up, rubbing his abdomen. "Thanks for saving us, Weston. We're going back to Rosewood too, there's no way in hell I'm keeping this a secret from my family."
"We know the king of Ys," Kaya said. "Hawkeye and I can go down there and warn them about what's happening."
"Then since you all appear to not require healing, I shall travel to AEGIS HQ back in Shibuya and make them aware of the situation. I can research the first crests in my spare time as well, and perhaps find more evidence of how to stop these Bio-Hybrids. I have a feeling this will only get worse before it gets better."
And with that... the real threat begins. The Bio-Hybrids could appear anywhere now... and if this world has any chance of surviving, then our heroes will need to be as prepared as they can possibly be.

While Kaya and Shoutmon mentioned alerting those she was close to Alucard groaned before he said "Unfortunately my son and I don't have the connections that some of you do."
"Maybe we can send a message to GranDracmon and Miss Babamon so they can use their connections to keep an eye out for these freaks." Poseidon said feeling the dirty glare he was receiving from his injured father as the Angemon was still angry at GranDracmon but only to the point of being mildly miffed.
Deciding his wounded pride over his previous trip to the vampire's mansion wasn't important at this point, Alucard said "Fair enough. Poseidon I leave you to be in charge of using Tamernet to contact them. Monsters like those Hybrids shouldn't be allowed to go unchecked."
Poseidon nodded silently planning to handle just that when Alucard had the energy to move so they could make their way to the nearest town for medical attention. Hopefully the Bio-Hybrids would be dealt with but Alucard knew the best hope others had was having to face no more than two of them at once.
