"I may have had some culinary prowess in my previous life but my current level of expertise was attained through studying and watching other chefs of the Digital World in this lifetime," Dux answered Yuki's question before pausing to give a deliberate, small cough of hesitation. "Of course, my practical experience was limited as I did not attain my Rookie form prior to entering this world and a lack of limbs is a rather serious impediment to most skills, cooking including," he admitted. Personally, he suspected that some of his earlier preparations had suffered from his lack of practice and were not up to the level of quality that would be fit for his master, but Kazu had nonetheless been more than pleased with his early efforts and he had made sure to practice and improve quickly since then.
Kazu had his interest caught by Lalamon's explanation of her and Shadow's shared past. Something about that struck him as odd. He had noticed that Shadow didn't seem to look directly at people despite seeming perfectly calm and he didn't seem to act any different with his eyes closed, which suggested... "Are you blind? Wouldn't that make bodyguard work pretty difficult?" he asked curiously, realizing a moment later that this had been rather blunt. "Ah, if you don't mind me asking, that is," he amended.
"RPGs, huh? Never really got too into them but whatever suits you," he shrugged in response to Yume's comment. He felt an uncomfortable pang of envy at Yume's clearly defined ambition. He had been searching for years and still had no firm ideas of what he wanted for the future. Dux clearly did but Kazu wanted nothing to do with that particular vision of the future.

Kazumi smiled at the younger girl as she interacted with her partner before hearing the younger girl wanted to own her own café when she was older. "I'm sure if you work hard you can have your own café one day, Yume." Kazumi said before turning her attention to watch Sakura interact with Lalamon.
Lalamon giggled and said "In a sense he still is as I didn't say he was fired when we joined Kazumi's army. Besides he is gifted in tracking as well as a pretty good fighter which you can see how such talents would be valuable to any army."
Shadow faced Kazu and calmly said "Yes I am blind but I can understand how one could think it would make being a bodyguard difficult. For me to make up for my lack of sight I have an ability that functions as my eyes as humans would understand it. This means I am aware of my environment in a way similar to that comic book hero called Daredevil, if you heard of him."
When Yume mentioned that using his claws could be difficult, Vemmon nodded before he said "It w-was at first but as I got used to my long claws it b-became no big deal for me." When Yume mentioned playing RPG games Vemmon's visible green eye lit up behind his visor before he said "I've p-played some RPG games myself including the JRPG g-games. T-Those are quite fun at times and can provide a f-fair challenge too." Though Kazu didn't seem to care much for RPGs Vemmon didn't say anything bad as he could understand not all games were everyone's cup of tea.
Yuki listened patiently to Dux as he mentioned how his current level of expertise was obtained through study and observation as he lacked limbs to prepare meals with before he met Kazu. "Ah yes the problem with being a fresh or in training form regardless of what knowledge one may possess is the lack of limbs since most digimon in those levels don't have any. At least being at such levels is brief as we digimon reach rookie fairly fast, huh Dux?" Yuki said as she had been through the process of being in those stages several times and understood the frustrations that came with such forms.

Yume looked at dux and felt bad that dux had sorta a bad time, with cooking in his In-training form. Sakura looked surprised."I've never knew you was blind, i thought you can see."Sakura said happily. Yume smiled happily at vemmon. Yume Liked JRPG Games and was interested."I heard of them games, they're pretty cool."She said happily/
Yume Smirked at Kazumi's Comment and she felt a bit inspired."Thank you!"She said. Yume looked at kazu."What other games you play?"she asked.

Kazu listened with interest as Shadow explained how he could compensate for his blindness. He was unsure whether this was something born purely of determination and experience or if it was somehow easier for digimon but either way, it was impressive. He already knew that Dux didn't seem overly hampered by his eyepatch. He had tried to ask the digimon why he wore it when the eye underneath was perfectly fine but Dux had just seemed confused and Kazu eventually dropped the subject. Since the eyepatch had appeared when he digivolved along with his scarf, gloves and belt, he figured that it was somehow an intrinsic part of him, despite appearing to be a simple accessory."Huh. That's impressive. I can see how that might come in handy," he acknowledged to Shadow. No chance of somebody sneaking up behind him while he was on guard, most likely.
Dux, meanwhile, was nodding along to Yuki's question. "Indeed. I had considered spending more time reaching my Rookie form prior to coming to this world and seeking out Master Kazuya but ultimately, I felt it was best to make myself available to him as soon as possible, so that I could better tailor my skills to his needs," he commented. In truth, impatience may have also played a small part in that decision but regardless, it had plainly been more efficient to finish perfecting his skills in this world, where it was easy to get access to information and he could learn about Master Kazuya's specific tastes.
"Like I said, I mainly play strategy games online," Kazu answered Yume's question. "I've tried a few different types of video games over the years, along with any number of card games and board games, but most of them didn't suit me that much. Strategy games are something I'm good at and they're entertaining enough to pass the time," he remarked somewhat dispassionately. A key part of his reason for maintaining a continued interest in the games was that their greater emphasis on long term action meant that he could afford to play at his own pace without losing too much to more invested players.

Shadow closed his eyes and laughed. Sure his eyes were a faded color but it was barely noticeable unless one was close to him his blindness was hard to visibly notice. "Yes, Sakura, I can see how you wouldn't notice I am blind given how I'm not really carrying things a blind human normally carries but for me it is hardly what humans would call a disability most of the time so don't worry too much. Okay." Shadow said as he adjusted his position but was still leaning against a wall with his arms crossed. Though most wouldn't notice, he was one hundred percent ready for battle if he had to. When Kazu spoke to Shadow the blind Gaomon nodded in affirmation before he said "It sure can be especially from the defensive aspect. You see there are also abilities that temporarily blind someone and anyone who has been involved in a Xros with me seems to also be immune to such an ability as the new form is not only blind but gains my Sight Beyond Sight ability which compensates for my blindness."
Yuki nodded at Dux's words before she wisely said "One cannot always predict the direction destiny leads us, huh Dux? At least Kazu seems to be a calm and level headed individual which should be handy in any future tough spots." Yuki seemed to have a certain knowing look that came from being a few centuries old but she had hope things would work out between the pair.
L-Like I said. S-Strategy games can still be fun but t-they aren't always for everyone." Vemmon said with a casual shrug not knowing what else to say.

Yume Looked at Shadow in Awe."Ooh, That sounds cool ability!"Yume said. Yume looked at kazu with an understandable look and Smiled."Well, different type of games is made for different kinds of people."Yume said with a slight chuckle Sakura listened to Shadow and then Dux, but then sighed because she has almost forgotten why she and her human partner was here."Umm? Are we going in a Train or what?"Sakura asked.

Kazu chuckled Yuki's comment, rubbing the back of his head awkwardly. "Yeah, Dux can be pretty reliable once you get past all the suggestions of murder and tyranny," he muttered the last part under his breath. Dux's calm, rational nature was somewhat undercut by his one-track mind. The Impmon would willingly drop a subject if Kazu explicitly asked him to but it would never be long before he somehow returned to something extremely morally objectionable and Kazu was not oblivious to Dux's thinly veiled resentment of being forced to obey laws and basic human decency. Fortunately, while the way Dux turned his head slightly and narrowed his visible eye at Kazu indicated he had heard this comment, he didn't choose to say anything in response and Kazu was able to address Vemmon's comment.Yeah, they're not for everyone. I find them entertaining but I guess a lot of other people prefer games that are more fast-paced or direct. There's nothing wrong with that per se, I just have trouble getting invested in them," he shrugged.
At Yume's question, Kazu blinked, remembering that he had come here for a purpose. "Ah, good point," he agreed, looking around. His eyes came to rest on a train sitting idle across the platform, one that he must have missed in the midst of their conversation. Narrowing his eyes, he looked closer at the train. The front of the train looked a little odd, almost like a face. He recalled exactly what kinds of trains Dux had mentioned offered transport between the two worlds. "So is that... a Trailmon?" he asked curiously. Aside from the vaguely face-like locomotive, it didn't appear to show any signs of life.

Shadow chuckled before he then smiled at Yume before he said "It has a practical use as well. For example I am immune to attacks that blind since I'm you know... Not only that anyone involved in a Xros with me gains that benefit as well. Yet so far the only one I have been in a Xros with is Yuki but who knows what will happen in the future, right?"
"I guess the reason I sympathize with you is because I used to date a girl in my first life that was a bit on the murdery side but she was a good business partner and mellowed out quite a bit while working together. Who knows how Dux will be some time from now. Maybe in his quest for power he will learn there is a time and a place for his behaviors. I would hate to have to fight him one day to stop him from being a tyrant since I can see good traits in him." Yuki said after Kazu's muttered words.
When Kazu addressed Vemmon's comment the lil bug said "T-This is why there probably are many types of games. Y-You know so they appeal to a wide audience so companies can make a bunch of money."
When Yume asked if they were boarding a Trailmon, Kazumi said "I wonder which one is going to Terminus."
"Someone could always ask. Why are you humans so silly at times?" Hudiemon said shaking her head. Meanwhile Dorulumon trotted up to Kazumi and the general nodded understanding what he wanted without saying anything. Next Kazumi held up her Xros Loader and Dorulumon vanished within it before she walked over to Koko and the large Komondomon also vanished within the Xros Loader as well. Dorulumon was claustrophobic but was perfectly comfortable inside the digivice and Koko was to large to fit in the passenger cars of the Trailmon.
