Sparring on the Beach(OPEN)

Hana and her friends had come to the beach for one humble reason: gathering seashells. What? not everything needs to have a big or dramatic reason behind it. The group had split up along the beach to gather shells more quickly, although bad memories of their MarineDevimon encounter ensured that neither Hana nor her partners dared to go into the water.

Sakura and Mint weren't actually taking part in the seashell hunt, with Sakura lying buried in the sand with only her head currently exposed and Mint trying to build a sandcastle next to her. The little Terriermon had never actually been to a beach before and was having a lot of fun playing in the sand.

The distant sound of Lothar and Mandrake sparring eventually caught Mint's attention since his long ears gave him a pretty keen sense of hearing. Curious about the noise, the young Digimon wandered off to find the source of the noise. The little Terriermon would eventually come across the dueling Digimon and their young daughter. Mint's focus was immediately drawn to Lilly, and quickly went over to introduce himself.

"Hi, there. My name's Mint. Do you want to play with me?" Mint asked, holding out a tiny paw to the young Jyarimon as he introduced himself.

"Oh, wow. You're really friendly." Mint commented as he gently patted Lilly's head. It was only then that the young Terriermon actually noticed just how young the Jyarimon really was. "You're still just a baby, aren't you? That's okay, we can still be friends."

While Mint was talking with Lilly, a lumpy shape could be seen lazily burrowing its way through the sand in the direction of the two children. As the burrower crept up behind Mint, a pair of spindly blue arms would rise out of the sand and reach toward the Terriermon. As sinister as it might potentially appear at first glance, the hands would merely begin tickling Mint as soon as the fingers brushed his fur. As Mint began giggling uncontrollably from the onslaught, Rush would poke his head out of the sand, revealing that the burrower was merely the Keramon the whole time. "Peekaboo."

After tickling Mint for a few minutes longer, Rush would halt his assault once he saw Lilly. Rush would silently freeze up and stare at Lilly for a brief moment before making a 'blep' face by sticking the tip of his tongue out at the Jyarimon. "Baby."

After this unusual greeting, Rush would withdraw one arm back into the sand in order to pull out a conch shell and set it on the ground next to Lilly. "Gift for baby."

Rush isn't very good at socializing, but he tries his best (in his own unusual way). 

The sound of Mandrake and Lothar bursting into laughter caused Rush's head to perk up, rotating his head like an owl to look at the two Champions. When he saw them, a big, toothy grin spread across his face as he ducked back into the sand and burrowed his way over towards them. Once he had gotten close, the Keramon pulled himself out of the sand and opened his mouth to speak, only for him to immediately bend over and vomit a small waterfall of sand out of his mouth.

"Blech. Sand not good. Hi, Wizard-friend, Lion-friend. Hi, hi!" Rush commented once he finished coughing up the sand he'd gotten his mouth. The quirky Rookie would then tilt his head to the left as he held out his hands to offer them some assorted seashells. "Seashells. Found lots, share with friends."

While Rush was greeting Mandrake and Lothar, Mint would wrap his ears around Lilly in a hug as he tried to soothe the confused hatchling. The Terriermon's fuzzy ears would feel cool to the touch, but not so cold that it would be unpleasant. "It's okay. Rush may look scary, but he's really nice! We play together all the time!"

"Yes, Mama and Brother split up. Gather shells faster that way." A goofy grin to spread across Rush's face as he tossed the seashells in the air, causing them to scatter across the sand. The Wizardmon's praise about sharing (or at least Rush thought of it as praise) made Rush feel rather giddy and start spinning in place for a few minutes, before the Keramon stopped and pointed at the ear-wrapped Lilly. "Who is baby? Doesn't smell like Kshin-friend or LJ-friend."

While that was happening, Sakura would wake up from her nap, sitting up and rising out of her sandy prison as she rubbed the sleepiness out of her eyes.Once she finishes, she groggily scanned the immediate area around her only to immediately snap to full wakefulness when she noticed Mint's absence. The Lillymon immediately jumped to her feet in a rush, her mind panicking as she tried to locate her little brother. The thought of Mint possibly getting lost or being kidnapped immediately rose to the front of her brain as she started flitting around the beach to try to find the young Terriermon.

Rush tilted his head to the right as he processed Mandrake's explanation, before nodding his head. "Makes sense. Lilly-baby is sweet. Wanna be friends."

Meanwhile, Data and Hana had caught up to the rambunctious Keramon, trying to figure out where the Keramon had run off to. Data made his way over to his brother and the others, the Guardromon nodding at the Wizardmon and Leomon as he approached. "Mandrake. Lothar. Good to see you again. I'm glad you were able to keep my brother out of trouble. How have things been for you?"

While Data was greeting the two parents, Hana made her way over to where Mint and Lilly were hanging out. Seeing the little Jyarimon being hugged by Mint made Hana set down the buckets of shells she was carrying as she kneeled down in front of the two children. "Aw, that's so adorable! You made a new friend, Mint!"

"Hi, Hana!" Mint replied. The Terriermon gently released Lilly from the hug and waddled over to Hana, where the teen scooped him up into her arms. "Wheee!"

"Oh? Well, congratulations to both of you!" Data said after Lothar mentioned his and Mandrake's engagement. The Guardromon would definitely be smiling at the news if he had a mouth, but sadly his Guardromon form was the only form he had that lacked such a feature.

When Lilly introduced herself to Hana (with a little difficulty due to her young age), Hana shifted Mint to one arm while reaching out with her free hand to gently pat Lilly on the head. "Well, hi there, Lilly. Aren't you just the sweetest little thing? I'm Hana."

"Hi, new Lilly-friend. Sorry to scare you. Hi, Mama. Friends are nice." Rush added as he floated back over to Hana, Mint, and Lilly's location and gently laid his head on Hana's shoulder. "Today is good day. Good for play!"

Hana opened her mouth to reply, but heard something that prompted her to quickly pick Lilly up and carry the two children off to the side, with Rush following behind her. Mere seconds later, Sakura ended up violently crashing down where the trio had been moments before, rolling across the sand before skidding to a stop. 

Sakura slowly forced herself to her feet, wincing as she held her side with one hand, green blood slowly oozing out between her fingers. Her other hand had its rapier extended, although she was currently using it to support her weight and hold herself up. It was painfully obvious that something had attacked the Lillymon.

Holding the two young children, Hana followed Sakura's gaze upward, seeing what had actually attacked the flower knight. A butterfly-like knight Digimon was currently hovering in the air using a large pair of red butterfly wings. The knight had bright crimson armor and two curved, blade-like antenna extending from its helmet. The knight stared passively at the group below with its yellow eyes, holding out a serrated, red-bladed sword with a butterfly-shaped crossguard at the group. The figure seemed to emanate glowing golden particles from its wings, giving it an otherworldly appearance.

To those that tried to sense the knight's mind, all they would feel is a sense of cold indifference radiating from its mind, with the barest hints of a separate consciousness buried deep beneath the surface. All of this would be beneath a layer of interference, like a staticky radio transmission.

The mysterious knight, upon hearing Mandrake calling out to it, shifted its focus from Sakura to the Wizardmon. The knight's response to the Wizardmon's was to point its sword at the Wizardmon, which began to glow gold. "D̸i̶s̵a̸p̶p̵e̷a̵r̵.̷"

With that single word, the knight repeatedly swung its blade, launching several golden energy waves heading straight towards the Wizardmon. The energy waves were powerful enough to pierce shields, so they would do damage even if the sorceror tried to block the attack.

After the knight launched its attack, Data counterattacked by unleashing a Guardian Barrage, sending a pair of missile flying towards the crimson knight. Being so focused on Mandrake, the knight wasn't able to dodge the missiles in time, and was knocked out of the sky by the explosions. Despite this, the Knight manage to re-orient itself and land on its feet, leaving a trail in the sand as it skidded backwards slightly upon landing. 

While that was happening, Hana shifted Mint so that he was riding on her back piggyback-style, with the Terriermon wrapping his ears around her like a scarf in order to maintain his grip. Hana then ran over to Lothar and Sakura with Rush right by her side.

"We'll help Sakura, Lothar. You should go help the others." Hana told the Leomon, a look of pure determination on her face. She would then pull out her Digivice  and looked at Rush. "You know what to do, Rush. Digi-Armor Energize!"

With that, Rush Armor Digivolved into his new Biomon form, and the medical Android Digimon quickly got to work on treating Sakura's wounds. Speaking in a much more mature and professional tone than his Rookie form, Rush began to advise his patient. "Hold still while I treat that side wound. This will sting a bit, but should help speed up the healing. Regeneration Serum!"

The Biomon then used the syringes on his right hand to inject a green fluid into Sakura's side, after which the Lillymon's injury began to visibly heal itself, slowly but surely. Sakura gave the medic a smile as she straightened up and stopped leaning on her sword. "Thanks, buddy. I owe you one. Now let's show this jerk why it's a bad idea to mess with us!"
