To say the notion of Deeplane resonated within her, a city where everyone felt like they could belong, and a relatively tranquil place that withstood the tirade and chaos around it seemed to spark a degree of hope with Kai. Kai felt isolated her whole life, having to uphold to standards in face of near impossible pressures and trying to walk a line of moral decency and high standards. When Kai and Tera came to Deeplane at their lowest, they found themselves surrounded by folk who could have easily justified letting them die alone to preserve their own needs and interests. While up till this point their journey was only about one thing, getting to Terminus and back to the human world, Kai wanted to be of service and put herself out there, asking to help the city in whatever way she could.
After getting to town, Kai once again changed into something that was a bit more her semi-professional style after stopping at a store, now wearing a white blouse, dark jeans that could pass as dress pants, and flat loafers as she would try to present herself in the best way possible. Her Fusion Loader as still attached to the underside of her left arm and she was still slinging her shoulder bag, though it did appear worse for wear and tear at this point after the explosion that knocked Kara and Tera into the Dark Area.
After asking around a bit and explaining her and Tera's capabilities, there was a general consensus on where she was needed, and she was told to head out to a facility near the Deephold, and told that someone named Sasha would greatly benefit from someone with office management skills. Kai and Tera would start to make their way towards the facility. "So if we follow the advice we were given, the office of this Sasha should be up ahead... Didn't think we'd be recommended to a security unit. Though, they especially need to be held to a strong office management standard for paperwork." Kai said quietly to Tera who was overjoyed at seeing the place in which the two were recommended to. "You kidding? This is epic, going from delivery to wings of the law, I can't wait to meet this Sasha dude." She said unable to hide her grin before Kai would be knocking on the door to the office, waiting for an answer.
