Trainwreck (Adrian, Gihai, Manami)

Almost as if none of the gestures had any effect, Marina began to write in her notepad. “General rudeness from the recipient of the injury, threats and aggressive behavior from what I assume the tamed digimon is. And… unpleasantness from one of the healers? That’s not something I expected! Anything else you’d like to add?” Things as they were, the Tutomon made sure to thoroughly document the human’s ordeal. It was fun! Well, except for the exclamations of pain and agony, but she guessed that was a natural part of the process.
In the meantime, the Weathermon just remained still in her location near her new… friend? Acquaintance? Hard to know with En-En, really. “I guess I’ll never understand why some hold humans in such honest esteem, then. They seem like subpar companions and a burden more often than not.” She nodded with approval at Roche’s denial of association with the admittedly less refined Gammamon, before introducing herself. “You can call me En-En. It’s good to find a fellow digimon unwilling to mingle with lesser beings.”
Marina found it opportune to scamper out of the situation and go back to where her older sister was located once the Veggiemons showed their ugly mugs though. She had no business to do with any of them! “Man, talk about rude people.” She commented, to no one in particular. “One’s doing a perfectly harmless interview, and then they react harshly! And that’s not even to have those party crashers into account.” Least to say, the service had been pretty shabby thus far. Not optimal.
En-En rolled her eyes. “As if anything of value could’ve been earned by interacting with humans and their pets. You can’t say you weren’t setting yourself up for disappointment.” Always the soul of the party, wasn't she? Nevertheless, Marina herself found herself smirking at the fact that, strangely enough, her sister was actually in the company of somebody else that wasn't part of the family.
“And who would this one be? Little me over here thought my dear older sister would die a spinster!” A loud smacking sound was heard right away. Even if the Weathermon didn't believe in humans, she definitely believed in violence as a corrective. The Tutomon found herself rubbing the back of her head soon after, nursing the spot that had been hit by her sister. “Ow. Anyway! My name's Marina. Hopefully you're more pleasant than the guys who gave me weird stares and primal grunts!”
Of course, it was only then that the other Gammamon decided to evolve and outright murder and absorb one of the assailants. Marina took her notepad again. “Symptoms seem to include transforming nearby related digimons into lawless barbarians too! I knew something was being hidden from me. Fascinating…”
En-En, on the other hand, just scrunched her nose in an expression of obvious disgust. “That form looks like something, alright.” She told Roche. “Is… that dangerous for us? Maybe I should make an exception and conta-.”
“Way ahead of you, beloved sister~. Wouldn’t want your first date to be ruined like th—Owww.” The Weathermon swore she didn’t know what had gotten into the head of her sister, but hopefully the repeated smacks would get it out of it.
Regardless, it seemed like the green Guilmon had taken the whole deal personally. The ensuing fight seemed like it would be something of utmost confusion, considering that there were three very clear sides; an interesting sight for sure. “Think she can make that rabid animal go back to normal? Somebody throwing a tantrum in this situation because their human got hurt isn’t benefiting any of us, I feel.”
Harsh? For Sure. Correct? Maybe so as well.

Needless to say, the two surviving Vegiemon were completely paralyzed from the sight of GulusGammamon just casually and brutally murdering their comrade, and were completely about to give in to the black dinosaur's demands before Gihai went and slugged the GulusGammamon in the face after digivolving. The two bandits promptly took advantage of this opening to run screaming from the train car, desperately trying to save their own skins.
Once outside, the two Vegiemon would continue running as far and as fast as their stubby bodies would carry them, passing by a Zamielmon riding on top of a Gogmamon.
"Good heavens, what's gotten into those two?" The Zamielmon asked to his rocky companion.
"Shhaaalle?" The Gogmamon replied, just as confused as the archer. Meanwhile, Sakura's eye twitched as the recent turn of events was testing the limits of her patience. First the train wreck, then Adrian's injury (not that she would blame him for something outside of his control like that), then they were being robbed by Vegiemons, the young Gammamon apparently just digivolved into a murderous edgelord/psychopath, and now the Weathermon and Tutomon were being annoying, racist a**holes.
Deep breaths, Sakura. I can handle this. This doesn't bother me. Sakura silently thought to herself in an attempt to calm down. It bothers me. It bothers me a lot! I need to deal with this right f***ing now!
Sakura would then walk right past Gihai and the GulusGammamon, holding up a finger towards the edgelord as if to say "I'll deal with you in a minute", heading straight towards Marina and En-En.
"You two are NOT helping this situation right now, so here's an idea for the both of you." Sakura said in a creepily calm tone, before she went to grab Marina and literally throw the Tutomon through the nearest window. Once that was done, Sakura would turn and to En-En and state, "Either shut up and do something productive, or you can join your hamster friend outside."
Let it be publiclyknown that this Lillymon was tired of dealing with this bulls**t.

Adrian couldn't help but glare at the other Gammamon and the Tutomon/Weathermon sisters. Not only was the Tutomon being completely inappropriate with her comments and attitude towards Adrian's pain, but he had to sit there and listen to the Gammamon and Weathermon talk about how his species were "lesser beings," which really pissed the human off. "If you both have a problem with my kind, then why don't you say it to my face than whispering about it behind my back?!" Adrian yelled at the three of them, still clearly suffering from the pain in his leg.
In terms of what had just occurred after that, however, Adrian only had two words to say in response. "Holy shit."
First, Gem turned into some creepy black Gammamon, killing one of the Vegiemon thieves in cold blood and surprising -- or downright terrifying -- everyone who witnessed. Then in response to that, the green Guilmon warp digivolved and attempted to slug the GulusGammamon in the back of the head with the blunt end of her new blade. Shoutmon had half a mind to jump in and try to prevent this, if the GulusGammamon hadn't turned around and caught the blade solely with his hands, resulting in what looked like the most intense arm wrestling competition ever.
"Who are you to tell me what I'm not?" the GulusGammamon asked. Not in a particularly angry or vengeful way. More of as if he was actually curious. "In this world, we should all be free to choose what we are. You may not like what I chose, but we should all be more open to other lifestyles, no? So I ask you now... do not attack me again. I do not want to get violent with you or anyone else who was on this Trailmon."
Of course, while that was going on, the two Vegiemons had managed to get away, screaming out of fear of course. The GulusGammamon grimaced when he noticed this. "Great. They got away. Thanks for distracting me and causing me to lose our lead." GulusGammamon then pushed the Megalo Growlmon away, not enough to cause damage but enough to show that Gulus was done messing with her.
"Gem, what has gotten into you?" Shoutmon asked, since this was so out of character for the little Gammamon.
"Your son's not the one in control right now. Name's Stone. Think of me as Gem's other half."
"Like... some sort of alternate personality?"
"Bingo. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have criminals to find."
"What, so you can go and kill them, too? Not a chance. I'm coming along with you."
"I don't care what any of the others do, but you at least should stay here and keep your human safe. It's his safety being in jeopardy that let me take control in the first place." Stone paused for a moment before adding one last thing. "...Gem really cares about you both, you know."
And with that, Stone had stepped out the door and floated upwards, scouting the area for potential victims. To any on-lookers, seeing Stone ominously floating in the air like that would've looked like a scene ripped right out of the movie "Brightburn." From there, he would see two ultimate level Digimon approaching... Zamielmon and Gogmamon. A wicked smirk formed on his face.
"There you are... Death Demona." He extended an arm out towards the two Digimon before a blast of black fire shot out from his hand right towards the two Digimon. And it would be intended to be a surprise blast.
Stone fires a "Death Demona" attack at Zamielmon while using the darkness of the storm to hide his true whereabouts.
Moves
Death Demona: Gem conjures up a ball of dark flames in his arms before he shoots it out in the form of a powerful blast. Cooldown is one post.
Passives
Embrace the Darkness (Combat Passive): Gem has fully embraced his dark side and is done being the nice guy by this point. All of Gem's moves have their attack boosted by 50%! To offset this, his evasion is reduced by 20%, as he really doesn't care if he gets hit as long as he can hurt his opponents even more.

"Dangerous? Mmm...Depends on the Digimon. Might be so in this case. I don't think Lady Gihai can do anything as far as pacification in one blow. Things aren't really like that with Perfect levels. Heck, I didn't even KNOW she could achieve Perfect like that...And judging by my guard's expression, neither did he. As usual."
Despite Stone being able to catch Gihai's arm-blade and provide a fair competition? Gihai was still the stronger of the two by virtue of not being a mercenary. For cinematic purposes, this just translated into a slow overpowering. Too slow to really mean much, in fact.
The sheer audacity to be being told what honestly just pretentious prose from someone who literally just murdered and loaded a Digimon in cold blood really didn't do many favors in ingratiating Stone towards Gihai. Or Roche. Or even Horus, who was probably the kind of asshole who would do exactly that if he got paid for it. The literal one thing stopping them from tearing him apart was the assurance that nobody on the train car would be harmed.
"Ah, so your lifestyle's just senseless murder. And loading. That's nice, buddy, but nobody asked." Roche sighed. Cool motive. But murder is murder, bandits or no. Hell, Gihai wouldn't even budge from being 'pushed.' Seriously, you're pushing something with digizoid on them. Oh, and this ingrate had the NERVE to complain about losing their 'lead?'
Okay.
"I would not wish to give a false apology, so I'll apologize when I have grown as a person and see an apology as necessary."
Since the writer's running out of ways to convey dismay and 'say sike right now' at the alibi, the trio were at a small impasse on what to do. "I'm gonna head outside. Try not to pointlessly endanger more people even if you don't like 'em, okay?" The Gammamon told Sakura. "Should go and make sure tall dark and Stone Edgy over there's not terrorizing the wrong people. Trailjackers are bad enough, imagine getting someone pissed who didn't even have anything to do with this!" Horus meanwhile just stayed. "...Someone's gotta stay in here, obviously..." The BlackShoutmon murmured. In truth, he was just. Not paying attention to a lot. Just if there was any immediate danger near them. To which there seemed to be none at present.
Something that Gihai was working on considering she was clambering out of the door. "HEY, NAME AND AFFILIATION RIGHT NOW, WE'VE KIND OF GOT A BANDITS AT LARGE SITUATION ON A DERAILED TRAILMON HERE." She called towards the Gogmamon and Zamielmon. Nevermind the fact that as her astronomically low expectations showed, the Gulus was in fact shooting at what could possibly be random passerbys. There was still a lot about the situation that was unknown to everyone, and just firing on anyone that happened to be passing by was...
Unideal. That's the best way to put it.

En-En nodded at Roche’s words. This situation was no doubt… interesting, and while their exchange had been pleasant enough, that seemed to be unable to last; the wounded human seemed to have at least some criticism regarding how they conducted themselves, which could be valid to a degree but also misinformed.
“No whispers are being uttered over here, at least not in my case.” She answered dryly. “My opinions and stances are as blatant as they can be, and as much as it irks me, I’ve never stated that this conversation was closed. If you have any input to give regarding either of us, feel free to do so. Doubt it’s going to be worth my while, but at least you can try to make it so.”
Given the old adage regarding about raining and pouring, the next being to intervene the otherwise pacific atmosphere that had been developed was none other than Sakura, who for some reason found it sensible to just try to grab and then throw another living digimon out of one of the Trailmon’s windows. Luckily, our heroine was safe and sound and what Sakura had thrown out was… a life-size Tutomon plush that the rodent had managed to put in front of herself before disaster struck. Quite clever.
Hard to imagine Marina doing anything other than writing in her notepad at a fairly frightening speed as those events unfolded. “This seems like a fairly juicy story! One of the healers thought that silencing the voice of truth took precedence over trying to stop an outright murderer, and thought it was fitting to use senseless violence on an otherwise harmless being! What could have caused that kind of decision? And, Wonder which kind of surprises there will be next? This is so exciting!”
In the meantime, the Weathermon threw a baleful glance at the Lilimon. “I’m more than aware that you didn’t mean to cause severe bodily harm to my sister, but if you ever lay a finger on her again in anything other than self-defense, it’s not going to end well for you.” With that out of the way, she turned and began to make her way out of the train, her sister in tow. “But since you’re actually able to sound reasonable and ask for things despite your inherently musclebrained nature, I’ll do you the favor of exiting the train. Good luck dealing with crazy murderers and train robbers.”
Marina just winked and whoever was leaving the train as she exited it herself. “Ain’t she more or less either the best or second best sister ever? It almost feels like she actually cares about me! She’s definitely taking a page from my eldest sister’s book!”
One thing was for sure; the Tutomon didn’t seem like she was getting tired of being smacked by her sister on this very day. “Don’t push your luck.”

Let it be known that Zamielmon was not happy with how his train robbery operation was not going to plan. It was supposed to be simple. His lieutenant, a MadLeomon name Linus, was supposed to blow up the train tracksso that the Trailmon that Zamielmon and Gogmamon had scouted and hitched a ride on would be forced to stop. Lionel and the rest of the crew would then start robbing the passengers before Zamielmon and Gogmamon played the part of being 'heroes' that would fight the bandits. The bandits would still be able to run off with some loot after being 'defeated', and Zamielmon could bask in glory for 'defeating' the robbers. Nobody was even going to be hurt during the whole charade, really.
But no, that furry brute had to mistime the explosion and cause the Trailmon to derail and crash, injuring some passengers in the process (if the nearby screams of pain he could hear from a nearby car was anything to go by). And now some unknown GulusGammamon was attacking the two of them!
Gah, is our cover blown? Did they figure us out so quickly?! Zamielmon though in a panic, as his Gogmamon companion used his crystalline arm to block the attack from hitting Zamielmon.
Zamielmon was actually terrified of the GulusGammamon, as the archer couldn't have possibly done anything to link him with the robbers! Was the black Digimon just lashing out wildly, not caring who he hurt in the process?! When Gihai exited the car and asked Zamielmon and Gogmamon to identify themselves, it took all of Zamielmon's willpower just to stutter out an answer. "A-ah, My n-name is Robin, and my stony f-friend here is Shale. We're trying to stop these brigands as much as you are. Would you... perhaps be willing to call off your angry compatriot, by any chance?"
"Shaaale." Shale agreed, going along with his partner's story. Like a certain talking tree alien from a well-known comic book/movie series, Shale had an incredibly limited vocabulary that consisted solely of repeating his own name. Meanwhile, back in the train car, Sakura would just throw her hands up in the air and sigh after En-En threatened her and left the car with Marina. "Whatever. I'm done dealing with you two so do whatever you want."
Once the Tutomon and Weathermon were out of sight, Sakura would move back over towards Shoutmon and Adrian, while Mint latched onto her leg. "Right, do you think you might be able to talk 'Stone' into standing down? Alternate personality or not, he is still your son, after all. That should count for something, right?"
Sakura was basically grasping at straws at this point, and she knew it.
Gogmamon blocks Stone's attack with his arm.

Adrian's glare intensified as En-En gave her response to the human. Just the way she acted was enough to make his blood boil. Adding on the racism against humans was just the icing on the cake. "First of all, Shoutmon is not my pet; he is my best friend, one that I could never go through life without. And secondly, maybe if you weren't so damn close minded about us, you'd actually start to see the positive influence humans do bring to the world. An entire city was birthed from the collaboration of our kinds. I'm not as strong as a Digimon, but I'm certainly not a 'lesser being,' no matter what garbage you decide to tell yourself to make yourself feel better. So either shut your bigoted mouth and actually try to learn about humans or go away. And take your nosy sister with you."
Stone shook his head in response to Roche. "Senseless? No. There is a method to my madness. I don't just try to kill whoever I feel like. If that were the case, I'd be outnumbered in at least a five-on-one battle right about now. No, I only target scum who truly deserve to be loaded."
"No Digimon deserves to be loaded," Adrian managed to say in response. "Not even the bad ones."
"And that's where we disagree. When a Digimon is deleted, their data reforms back in the Village of Beginnings, ready to begin a new cycle of life. Optimists would like to believe that the Digimon will make better choices in their next life. I am a realist, and I know that it is only a matter of time before the Digimon relapses back into their horrible ways, continuing the cycle of violence towards innocents that resulted in your leg being broken."
After Stone, Gihai and Roche exited the Trailmon, Sakura showed herself to be extra badass in attempting to literally throw the annoying Tutomon out the window. But as random luck would have it, she ended up somehow grabbing a life-sized Tutomon plush out the window instead, because of course. Marina continued being irritating about it while En-En threatened Sakura into not doing something like that again. "To be fair, she was asking for it," Shoutmon said as he crossed his arms. He was just as annoyed by these sisters as Adrian and Sakura were by this point.
Marina and En-En would then leave the Trailmon, followed by Sakura and Mint. Before the latter two left though, Sakura asked Shoutmon if he could try to talk Stone into standing down. "I don't know... I want to, but Adrian-"
"I'm gonna be fine, Shoutmon," Adrian said. He glanced over at Horus momentarily before continuing. "I got your edgy counterpart over there to keep me company. You should go out and help the others."
"I..." Shoutmon sighed. "Alright, but you should at least Digivolve me. Probably something a bit chilly, since it is raining out there."
"Fair enough," Adrian said as he activated his Digivice. Shoutmon would then evolve to his Ultimate Ice form, CrysPaledramon, before exiting the Trailmon along with the others. Now that they were alone, Adrian decided to strike up a conversation with the BlackShoutmon. "So... your group seems real fun."
Meanwhile outside the Trailmon, Stone's attack was successfully blocked by the Gogmamon. He figured it would be; it was more of a warning shot anyways, meant to simply terrify the duo, and it worked. After Gihai and the others arrived, the Zamielmon would reveal that their names were Robin and Shale, and they claimed that they were trying to stop the ones who were blowing up the Trailmon in the first place.
Stone's glare intensified as he looked into Robin's eyes. Something in the GulusGammamon's gut was telling him that these two were trying to pull a fast one on him. They didn't look like the hero type... it was the exact opposite of a nice day to go out for a jog with the pouring rain and thunder, so how did they know that something like this would happen? He knew that he would be highly outnumbered with his suspicion, though. Stone crossed his arms and gave one simple statement to the Zamielmon.
"I'll play along, for now. But if I find out that my gut feeling about you is right, then you'll be sorry."
"We're not going to let you kill them, Stone," CrysPaledramon said from behind the GulusGammamon.
"What are you doing out here? I told you to stay in the train with your human."
"And let you wander around out here like this by yourself? Alternate personality or not, I am still your father, and that means you'll do as I say. Got it?"
Stone's natural angry face just got even angrier as he refused to give a verbal answer to the ice dragon Digimon. "So if these two aren't the ones that did this, then those Digimon are still around here somewhere. I suggest we look around, judging by those Vegiemon they're bound to leave some form of clue behind."
"I'll go searching with Stone... keep him out of trouble," CrysPaledramon announced. The two of them would then fly up and survey the immediate area, looking for any kind of clue as to where to find and identify the Digimon responsible for this massive crash.

Post by Based Knight, Gihai! on Jun 23, 2022 4:51:08 GMT
There was a lot of philosophy to be waxed here and truth be told, they'd probably be here all day. Because really, there were a lot of problems with that way of thinking and it was a little useless to argue with stubborn people who thought they were right.
"Ah...I'm pretty sure all the black on me is just scarring from how often I've died unceremoniously." Horus opened his eyes and piped up. "As for Lady Gihai and Master Roche...They're usually a lot less...on edge than this--they're...really just the youth of two very different places. Though I suppose I'm learning a few things about them as much as you are." The ebon dragon then shrugged.
"One thing is for certain at least--they have a very strong sense of their own justice, the two of them. Polarizing as it may be, and though they hail from stranger areas, they are Roche and Gihai. If anyone dangerous comes by, I'll become DarkKnightmon to provide defense." There was a brief pause from Horus. "...You look older than the usual Chosen. Year or two. Been at this a while? I'm Horus, by the way." SO, outside. While Gihai and Stone were joined by Shoutmon?
Roche went with the sisters. Someone needed to keep watch over the two seekers of truth. "It's more than a little weird that outright murder's less worthy of ejection than...what you guys were doing, brusque nature or not. But, covering more ground's always nice. I wonder who blew the tracks up, though..." You cannot prove that Roche really just wanted to stick around En-En. Not at all! "I'd -hope- she was a good sister. I never had any when I came along. I think."
Over on Gihai's end of things? She was at least a little relieved that she didn't seem to be alone in being the one person trying to ensure nobody else died pointlessly. And...Of course, the one time the Shoutmon-turned-CrysPaledramon (that was a new form of Digimon Gihai had not encountered yet!) managed to assert any amount of authority, it just pissed the GulusGammamon off.
"He's correct, you know. You're in his son's body and assumedly were born when he was. So. Yeah, that's your dad." Gihai wondered how effective a sandal would be here. But, that was something her moms went on about. So, she had been left with Robin and Shale.
"Sorry about that. And thank you for your help, really. Did...you see anyone shifty around the tracks? Or around the front of the train? I feel like those might be the best places to start. My name's Gihai, by the way. Nice to meet you! I'm sorry if I seem like I'm a bit on edge right now. First time using this form. Jumpy." She had her doubts, but it wouldn't help anyone to just accuse these guys -senselessly,- you know?

The Weathermon sighed; this was precisely what she was expecting as a response. Something that she felt had heard a thousand times. “A digimon that has to initially deal with a human out of obligation and then ‘warms up’ to the idea doesn’t sound like my definition of friendship in the slightest. If anything, it sounds like exploitation; whoever made those accursed devices knew what they were doing, and it isn’t going to fool me for even a second.” This whole deal was exasperating, but it was also predictable. The amount of entitlement that humans dared to possess was unparalleled. “I knew I was losing my time when listening to you, but the fact that you refer to a plain example of nothing more and nothing less than colonialism done by humans in this world as something positive just makes it clear I’m just losing my time and energy in this. You just have to look at this situation to get a fairly accurate estimate of how much humans are actually worth.”
Having said her final response, En-En committed to her previous choice of exiting the train alongside Marina, not even bothering to answer any personal insults towards her or her sister. They weren’t worth all that much coming from a human, after all.
It was fairly convenient that she was a Weathermon, otherwise, being outside, amid the rain would have been bothersome. As it stood, a careful observer would be able to discern that the water wasn’t touching an area slightly bigger than what the digimon occupied. Of course, her sister used this to her advantage to keep dry. That only left the two sisters and Roche on the section outside the train where no fighting was being conducted. “I had no idea that the public transportation of this area was so shabby.” She said with a sigh, to no one in particular. “Had I known that, I’d have used another method to get to our destination.”
Truth to be told, En-En would’ve avoided dealing with humans altogether if able. “I don’t consider myself ejected in the slightest.” She answered to Roche, plainly. “If a brainwashed Lilimon and a human think they have any say regarding what I can do or not, they’re sorely mistaken. I can’t deny I grew tired of dealing with them, however. Remaining inside the train would be akin to fancying the smell of rotten durians. At least the air is fresh here.” Quite the comparison, but that didn’t seem to phase neither the Weathermon nor her sister. “Where was your group heading? Given you seem to be composed of fairly powerful digimons, I’d be surprised if you had in mind anything other than a distant destination.”
While the dialogue was happening, Marina was too busy trying to catch a glimpse of whatever was happening with murder!Gammamon and the others. It was true that she was normally unable to shut up, but this seemed way more interesting than holding a conversation!

Stone's declaration that he didn't buy Robin and Shale's cover story one bit sent an ice-cold shiver down the Zamielmon's spine, at least until a CrysPaledramon made it clear that he wasn't gonna let the GulusGammamon kill them. "We will... keep that in mind."
Well, potential maiming, if their true allegiances were discovered, was at least slightly more preferable than a painful death in Robin's eyes. The archer made a mental note to play his cards a LOT more carefully from this point on. Even if it meant fighting his own men, which Robin was not happy to do. The archer was the kind of leader who did his best to try and look after his crew as if they were his own family.
All around the crash site, various bandits could be seen going through the other cars. Goblimons and Vegiemons rounded up the other passengers, while a Blossomon literally shook down the passengers with its vines to make them drop their valuables. Once collected, the stolen valuables were gathered in a pile that was guarded by a Ganemon and a couple of Zenimons. Off to the side, the whole operation was being overseen by gigantic MadLeomon, who easily towered over the rest of the bandits (aside from the Blossomon).
"Good, good. We'll be making off like KINGS tonight, boys!" The MadLeomon announced, a feral grin set upon his monstrous face as the rest of the bandits cheered in response. "And remember: if any of these punks try anything funny, then tear them apart! There won't even be enough of them left to turn into an egg!"
The MadLeomon's announcement actually made Robin take a step back in pure shock. That was NOT part of the plan! The archer had clearly stated that NO ONE was supposed to actually be seriously hurt during this heist! Just what the hell was Linus thinking?!
Meanwhile, Sakura had made her way out of the train car (leaving Mint safely tucked away inside) just in time to witness Linus' announcement to the entire crash site. The blatant display of the dark lion's cruelty just got Sakura's blood absolutely boiling. "Oh, hell no. There is no way we're just gonna let that monster get away this!"
With that single statement, Sakura quickly pulled out her swords and charged right towards the leader of the bandits.

Adrian had nothing to say to that... bigot of a Digimon. His face just grew darker as he watched her leave... before he angrily slammed his fist into whatever object was nearby, letting lose an angry cry. "AAAAAAURGH!" Adrian took a few more breaths to try and calm himself down. "I'd punt that Digimon into next week if my leg wasn't..." He rested his head back and his arms to the ground, feeling overall defeated. This encounter was not going to be good on his already diminishing self-worth.
He looked back up to talk to the BlackShoutmon that had remained with him, who explained that the blackening of his skin was most likely scarring from how often he died. "Yeah, I can't really... relate to that. Dying for humans is just lights out and the end, while it's more of a reset for Digimon."
The black Shoutmon then explained that Gihai and Roche -- the green Guilmon and Gammamon respectively -- weren't usually as on edge as this, adding on that they had their own sense of justice. "Yeah, they seem interesting, alright..." Adrian said, though it was clear that he still had what En-En said on his mind. His attention was brought back when Horus mentioned that Adrian seemed older than the usual Chosen. "Hey, I'm not that old, I'm only twenty-one years old. But yeah, I have been at this a while. I met Shoutmon in high school, at one of the lowest points of my life at the time. He changed my life for the better, and to hear that... that bitch try to make what we have sound awful like that... ugh. I'm Adrian Boriker. It's nice to meet you, Horus."
Outside the train, Stone gave a toothy grin when he could see that his fear tactics were working on the Zamielmon. There would be no way now that he'd try to betray the group without fear of being maimed immediately. Sure, the others may have their opinions about this tactic, but Stone didn't care much about those opinions. Of course, that grin all but vanished when Gihai brought up the fact that he was still CrysPaledramon's son.
"You'd really call me your son, huh? Don't make me laugh." And that was all that Stone was willing to say on the matter. He wasn't even trying to fight it back at this point...
Stone and CrysPaledramon had flown up to get a better view of the wreckage, and that's when the two of them noticed another scene happening not too far away. They could see various Vegiemon and Goblimon bandits rounding up the other poor passengers, while a huge Blossomon was literally shaking them with its vines so they'd drop their valuables to then be put in a pile of loot, and it was all being overseen by a MadLeomon.
Stone's fist clenched tighter when he heard what the MadLeomon had to say. CrysPaledramon noticed this and was about to stop him... until the MadLeomon instructed that his men hurt the innocent passengers if they had to. "Him. Can I kill him?"
"Only if I can join you."
Stone grinned and dashed down to the bandits, looking at each and every one right in the eyes, before looking right at the MadLeomon, a sadistic grin forming on his mouth. "So this is how you tend to spend your days? Blowing up train tracks and then robbing or killing the passengers inside?" He charged his fists with black fire. "How interesting that you use your power for such vile and pointless purposes. I oughta put you in your place... starting with you! Dark Pales!" Stone immediately dashed for Linus with the intent on crushing him with his fire-charged claws.
Meanwhile, CrysPaledramon stayed in the skies as he took care of the rest of the bandits. "Callous Dimension!" And just like that, the icy dragon had summoned a snowstorm that would encase all the bandits in the area, while simultaneously protecting any allies that just so happened to be caught within it. This wouldn't be likely to outright defeat them, but a move like this would definitely help!
Stone uses "Dark Pales" on Linus.
Moves
Dark Pales: Gem charges his arms with the flames of darkness before he dashes forward and crushes his opponent with them. Cooldown is two posts.
Passives Embrace the Darkness (Combat Passive): Gem has fully embraced his dark side and is done being the nice guy by this point. All of Gem's moves have their attack boosted by 50%! To offset this, his evasion is reduced by 20%, as he really doesn't care if he gets hit as long as he can hurt his opponents even more.
Cooldowns -Dark Pales (0/2)
CrysPaledramon uses "Callous Dimension" to attack all opponents within range.
Moves
Callous Dimension: CrysPaledramon generates a powerful and cold snowstorm about 50m in diameter, damaging every enemy trapped within it while keeping allies relatively safe from the harmful cold. Cooldown is three posts.
Passives Stay Cool (Combat Passive): Thanks to his new armor and the icicles implanted on his wings, the power of CrysPaledramon's ice attacks is boosted by 30%.
Cooldowns -Callous Dimension (0/3)

"I'm sure you would, but it's a rather frustrating quandary to find yourself in. You attack her, you prove her right. You don't, you keep yourself trapped within the constraints of a situation explicitly not of your own doing." Horus shrugged. "To only hold one life inspires one to do all that they can in the short time they have on the earth they walk upon. To have more than one is...scary in it's own regard, if I may be frank." There was an exhale from the BlackShoutmon. "I didn't mean that as derision. Just means you've likely seen more than the usual Chosen I've met have. Sorry to hear about it, either way. I don't have much else to guess about either of those sisters, but it might just be a product of upbringing...Which doesn't quite excuse it. More make it worse. But...Again--this is a situation that's ultimately something we had no say in." A pause. "All bets on the culprit being a massive dumbass? I'd be willing to assume that'd be the most offensive thing about this entire trainwreck. Not the snooty reporters, the murder...but the fact that whoever orchestrated it was probably a Betsumon." And that, is why you don't trust Horus with humor. Or attempting to provide humor, in fact!
"Hey, brainwashed is...probably incorrect to assume here. There'd be an agenda behind brainwashing! Not...trying to hurl someone out of an already derailed car." Roche told En-En, with a claw scratching the back of his neck at the question of what their original destination was. "Up north. We were going to help a friend of ours out with a roving gang of Hyougamon that had turned into a small army. Naturally, we got...delayed pretty badly by this, so...I'm admittedly a little upset about it. Nothing too bad, though." Really. Putting his attention towards what Marina was watching, he noticed the same thing everyone else did. A MadLeomon putting the Mad in his name by declaring that this entire train must be purged. If there had ever been anything that the players of the thread agreed on, at least the people who weren't mercenaries, it was that this was something that could not be allowed to continue. Tuning out Stone being salty about her being correct...The MegaloGrowlmon let out an exhale. Quiet. No need to be loud or overtly dramatic. "Shield of the Just." The picture of calm opened her eyes as a golden disk of light seemed to surge in out of nowhere towards Linus to try and turn this Leomon into an overused meme, though the keen-eyed would note mid-flight that the disk's light faded to reveal Gallantmon's shield! Roche tilted his head. "Huh, guess they found the guy. I'll...uh. I'll sit back for now." Because this was already enough of a post to write, truth be told, and a combat log for two characters at noon today was too much to ask of the writer.
Relevant Passives: Toxic Love [Passive]: She just keeps doing it. She can't keep getting away with it. Every attack of Gihai's inflicts a stack that reduces her foe’s defenses by 8%, capping at 40%/5 stacks. If no stacks are added for two posts, the number begins to go down by one for every post. Also, she can only inflict one stack at a time.
Assault Balancer [Passive]: The cable at the back of Megalo Growlmon’s head is not for show. It’s a weapon that’s just as deadly as the rest of this form. Every two posts, it swings and extends itself to slash at an opponent--as an additional attack with the force of a 0 post cooldown on top of whatever else Gihai is doing that turn.
Zealot [Passive]: Every three turns, Gihai forces a cooldown of hers to go down an additional post.
Pandora’s Box {RAM Upgrade - Passive]: All debuffs inflicted by this Digimon cannot be shortened. It takes two usages of a cleansing move to get rid of a debuff she inflicts.
Assault Balancer isn't used here. Shield of the Just, however, is. Shield of the Just [RAM Upgrade]: Calling forth power that she ultimately should not have access to right now, Gihai fires forth an unexpected implement in the form of Dukemon’s shield. The shield essentially acts as a buzzsaw rather than a shield, flying at an enemy like a frisbee and dealing heavy damage if you so much as even TOUCH it. It ignores shields. Why? Because it's a shield itself. Shields are piercing, right? Four post cooldown. Active Cooldowns: Shield of the Just - 0/4

The Weathermon shrugged. “What word would you use, then? The fact remains that my sister was on the receiving end of physical violence when having the best of intentions.” She made a pause to exhale. “I don’t actually care about the answer, but how do you deal with that degree of entitlement? Engage them with curiosity, and humans send their ‘not-brainwashed’ “friends” they treasure so much and be physically hostile towards you. React to them with disdain and they’ll rend their garments while providing vacant arguments of how their behavior is somehow justified. Isn’t that the hallmark of a greedy creature? I can’t see any other possible explanation.”
Truth was that, despite the digimon’s calm demeanor, she was actually quite displeased at how the situation had developed. “You can paint it in whichever light you fancy, but the fact still remains that my little sister was the victim of an unprovoked attack by what should be a ‘civilized’ party, and that’s inadmissible, no matter how you look at it.” Hadn’t them been under strict orders to not engage into physical hostility unless the situation called for it in this journey, the whole situation would have developed in a very different way, for better or worse.
That topic, and her own opinions aside, the tale of Roche’s own adventures seemed to be quite interesting. “Are you planning to vanquish them? Dealing with pests ought to be annoying, even though probably less so than this situation. Going all the way up to Snowflake?”
As that question got asked, Marina was still peering ahead, and writing at a breakneck pace when it came to the events that began unfolding not that far away from her. Thorough documenting of everything that was happening was her speciality! “Hope the train doesn’t get purged.” She said, idly. “That sounds like the beginning of somebody’s villain arc. No blonde humans wielding greathammers here, right?” Awfully specific, but there was a reason for that, right? “Other than that, it seems like the situation is under control. I wonder how long it’ll take everyone to clean up this mess. At the very least, it does seem like the fancy attacks are flying out.”
She didn’t seem too worried about the outcome this would have. Was that due knowledge, or just confidence? It was hard to know.

As it would turn out, Sakura's plan to charge right at the MadLeomon half-cocked would not turn out very well. As an Ultimate-level Digimon, the lion-man was able to easily block her attacks with his own meaty hands, before countering her attack by punching her with an aura-coated fist. "Pathetic."
The momentum of the punch ended up sending Sakura stumbling backwards, directly into the path of Stone's Dark Pales, the GulusGammamon's flaming arms doing some serious damage to the Lillymon's back. At that point, however, Gihai's Shield of the Just would end up hitting Linus in the shoulder, causing the MadLeomon to let out an irritated growl and rub his wounded shoulder while CrysPaledramon unleashed his blizzard attack.
The blizzard immediately got the attention of the other bandits, the Blossomon even unceremoniously dropping the poor schmuck he was currently shaking down. "Ack, who turned on the A/C?"
With the Blizzard providing a distraction, Robin and Shale decided that their best course of action to avoid suspicion was to join the fray, focusing on the mooks instead of the MadLeomon himself. Despite their betrayal, Robin still felt a heavy weight in his core as he fought his former comrades.
"Old Man, Petals! get your butts over here and help me!" Linus barked out to the Ganemon and Blossomon, his irritated tone causing the two to quickly and fearfully make their way over to their leader's position. This would somewhat even the odds to being 3-on-3, since Sakura was currently struggling to get to her feet after the unintended friendly fire.
The Ganemon would transform his briefcase into a gatling gun, which he’d use to pelt CrysPaledramon with a rapid-fire barrage of coins, while Blossomon would launch a flurry of flower shurikens at Gihai. Linus would focus his attention on Stone by grabbing a large battleaxe strapped to his back and swinging it right at Stone’s head. Even the mad lion was being affected by the blizzard, even if he didn't show it on the outside. “You want to play hero? Then DIE LIKE ONE!”
Linus punches Sakura into the path of Stone's Dark Pales attack, leaving him open to Gihai's Shield of the Just. Ganemon attacks CrysPaledramon with Coin Shooter, and Blossomon attacks Gihai with Spiral Flowers. Meanwhile, Robin and Shale are beating up some of the lower-level bandit grunts.
MadLeomon: -Feral Might (passive): Linus' raw strength allows him to deal 30% more damage than usual with his attacks.
Ganemon: -Coin Shooter: Ganemon's briefcase turns into a gatling gun that fires coins instead of bullets. 1 post CD. (0/1)
Blossomon: -Spiral Flowers: Blossomon flings the miniature flowers on his vines ay hisopponent like a bunch of shurikens. The flower petals are sharp enough to cut through most Ultimate-level shields. 3 post CD, full piercing. (0/3)

Post by Adrian Boriker on Aug 2, 2022 4:22:52 GMT
Adrian just groaned as he tilted his head back. Horus was right; attack En-En and he'd prove her right, do nothing and he'd just have to continue listening to her insult him and his partner. "It all just sucks... the least she could do is just not insult me while my leg is broken, but I guess it was just too good to pass up on mocking the 'inferior' human for having brittle bones." Adrian didn't sound like he was having a good time right now... granted, no one here really was, but Adrian especially wasn't at this moment.
Horus mentioned that the comment about being older wasn't criticism, just pointing out that Adrian may have seen more than the average Tamer has. "I see... well, you're right about that, I have seen a lot these past four years." It was nice to hear that Horus ultimately felt the same way about the sisters that Adrian did. "I'm glad that they're just an odd exception; I've met so many incredible Digimon over the years that it was a real shock to see just how those two were."
Then Horus asked if the culprit behind all this was a dumbass, insinuating that a Betsumon was behind all of this, which had Adrian trying his hardest to hold back a laugh. "I'm sorry, what did you say? I didn't expect you to have a sense of humor at all, Horus."
Things were not going much better outside of the train. Sakura's direct attack had failed, and as retaliation, Linus had decided to user her as a meat shield against Stone's "Dark Pales" attack. It happened so fast that Stone didn't even have a chance to react as the fiery fist collided with her, scorching her and injuring her greatly due to being a plant Digimon.
NO...!
Stone's eyes widened when he realized what he had done, stopping dead in his tracks as he watched the Lillymon suffer. He had injured an innocent, unintentionally yes, but it was still something that he had done. While Linus was caught off-guard by Gihai's own attack, Stone would pick Sakura up with both arms. "Are you okay?! I did not mean to... he grabbed onto you..."
Suddenly, Stone heard a familiar voice in his head. Return the favor...
"What?"
Adrian has a card that can heal her... bring her to him. Even if it was an accident, it's still the right thing to do.
"...I see." Closing his eyes for a brief moment, Stone would dash over to the wrecked train car where Adrian and Horus lay, laying Sakura down in front of them. "She was badly hurt. Adrian... she requires your assistance. You have a 'card,' correct?"
Adrian couldn't help but blink in surprise. "Y-Yes, I do-"
"Good. Use it on her, and make sure she lives." And that was all Stone had to say before dashing back to the fight, leaving Adrian alone to tend to Sakura.
"Why did he... come back here with her...?" Adrian asked himself as he pulled out his "Regenerate" card, slashing it with his Digivice to use it on Sakura.
After that was finished, Stone returned to the fight to see CrysPaledramon taking the Ganemon's "Coin Shooter" attack head on, taking the full force of the damage. Since Ganemon was a Champion level, it didn't hurt CrysPaledramon as much as it should have. In retaliation, CrysPaledramon dashed right towards the coin Digimon and slashed at it with his ice-charged claws. "Frozen Claw!"
Meanwhile, Stone just walked right up to Linus. No flying, no dashing, just walking towards him with an even darker expression on his face than usual. Gem, you're probably not going to like what I want to do to this guy. Before I do anything, I feel it necessary to ask for your approval.
I just don't want you to load him... that's it.
No promises.
Stone watched as Linus pulled a giant battleaxe from his back, the MadLeomon swinging it right towards the GulusGammamon's head, laughing about how Stone was going to die like a hero. However, the moment that axe came crashing down on the dragonoid Digimon, Stone managed to grab the handle of it with his right hand, using all his strength to push it back to its owner.
"Hmhmhmhmhmhm... heheheheheh... AHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Stone maniacally laughed as his grip onto the battleaxe tightened, before he ripped it out of Linus's claws completely and tossed it aside, causing it to unceremoniously land on the ground next to the Blossomon. His arms igniting with black flames, he started hovering closer and closer to Linus in a way that would surely make the MadLeomon start to pee his pants. "Nah, I don't think the word 'hero' fits me very well. You may want to rethink what you call me."
CrysPaledramon uses "Frozen Claw" on Ganemon, while Adrian uses the "Regenerate" card on Sakura.
