The events unfolding right now were a bit on the strange side, even for Digital World standards. The island that had emerged from the ocean’s depths dwarfed all of its smaller neighbors, and had even managed to displace its nearest ones a fair distance away from it. An impressive sight, even if a bit foreboding.
Cold wind began to blow from the emergent landmass, and waves became more violent when coming from and to it. A fairly stark contrast when compared to the usually calm sea of the temperate Southern Tropics, yet the least surprising amongst the recent events. Land and sea were the only paths to access the island as it stood there, waiting in an almost inviting manner for anyone to venture there.
In case anyone was eager, or quick enough to close the distance towards those distant shores, they’d find themselves upon a vast beach completely overrun by what looked like deep-sea algae. Looking inland, a dense jungle became more and more obvious, all while displaying… fragments of what might have been buildings, or even something else; they were far too eroded to know for sure, at least until inspected from a closer position.
As of now, however a single item would probably jump to the forefront of any visitor’s attention. A small chest, half-buried on the beach, just mere inches away from the water’s reach. It didn’t look like it was locked, yet it remained firmly closed.

It is said that history often happens with small steps. That it's often made or rediscovered with small steps. For reasons that we're going to leave to 'training,' a certain eleven year old and her partner and some mercenaries were situated at this island when some...genuinely strange events had begun to occur.
And then they were not, for they had gone over towards Maelstrom Island. And once they had come there, they had found that the sight was...
"...Is this some sort of Digital Shift?" The Kotemon uttered aloud, as his partner, one Isa Miyako, took a step forth, noted a small chest sticking out like a sore thumb, and...scurried over, pretty much breaking into a sprint from her Digibeetle to go and check whatever that was out.
"Ah. I see we're going to be morons today. How I loathe it here." Mantis bemoaned this present situation as he went to follow--Nanashi and Robin were stored in Digimemories, so...They were more than prepared compared to the last time a plot thread happened on a beach.

Kima and her group were walking towards the beach when there was a ruckus coming from the direction of the beach. Kima gazed to Chaytan and the Hawkmon quietly nodded as if understanding what she wanted as he flew into the air before he said "Eyes of the Hawk!" His eyes shimmered as he looked out over the landscape towards the beach before the sight of the strange island rose from the sea and said "I don't know if you'd believe this but a strange island has risen up from the sea."
"I dunno. I mean this is the Digital World we are in and weird things like this can happen." Blaster said while scratching his chin.
"And how many islands have you seen doing that even here?" Chaytan asked with sigh.
"Fair enough, Chaytan." Blaster said before looking at Kima and asking "So what do ya think, Kima? Should we investigate?"
"I...I don't know. How would we even get to that island? None of you are marine digimon." Kima said not sounding to sure about what to do.
"Perhaps if we use one of the flight capable xrosses and have the rest of us in the Xros Loader we can make it no problem." Takoda said his words making sense to the entire group.
"We should use a form strong enough to carry Kima's weight. What about Maildramon? That should do the trick." Shillan said his words making sense. Not only could that form fly but being armored would be hard to knock out of the air.
Kima nodded in agreement before calling most of her forces into her Xros Loader except for Shillan and Chaytan before she said "Sangloupmon! Hawkmon! Digi Xros!"
Shillan and Chaytan began glowing before merging together revealing Maildramon in all his glory. Maildramon lay down allowing Kima to climb on his back before getting up. Then after running for a short distance he took off into the sky flying for the island. Upon reaching the island Maildramon lay down and Kima got off before splitting back into Shillan and Chaytan. Then shortly after the rest of the group emerged from Kima's Xros Loader. Then Fuzz tugged on Kima's leg before pointing at what looked like a half buried treasure chest and the group approached it. "Fuzz, can you dig the chest out?" Kima asked.
"Fuzz can dig it out but it may takes time. This chest looks heavy." the smaller than average Prairiemon said as he made his way over to the chest and began carefully digging with his claws.

There is an old saying to the effect of "Where there is smoke, there is fire." Carlos liked to believe such a saying could be applied to himself and the twins, just replacing the words "smoke" with their names, and fire with whatever weird, unexplainable event could be going on right now. Of course, said saying wouldn't roll off the tongue nearly as well, but it was a nice thought nonetheless.
Maybe Dio's ego was rubbing off on him. At any rate, that hypothetical saying rang true this day, as the trio finally reached the shores of an island that, according to both known maps and the inhabitants of other closer landmasses, shouldn't even be there.
"It's bigger than I thought." Carlos voiced the thought that had popped in his mind as they approached, boots carefully trudging through the sandy shore. "Think there's someone living on it already?" That would have probably been an incredibly dumb question in any other place, hell maybe it still was one, but somehow the idea of a civilization of underwater digimon making their way to the surface (land and all) wasn't too farfetched in the man's eyes.
"No idea, but they already have tourists." Dio said, pointing at the small gathering of human and digimon already present on the beach. His tone denoted a slight annoyance at the display, as if somehow still not used to always being the ones to reach one of these events last. Or maybe he still wasn't fully over their last disagreement and only came along for this trip because Bloom would have chewed him out otherwise. Who knew.
Gio as usual, was the first to split off the trio and approach the group, waving his arm in a greeting.
"Hi! You came to explore the island too?" The black guilmon questioned, his eyes going from the alluring looking chest half buried in sand, to the black haired teen with her large group of partners, to finally the white haired girl and her Kotemon. Who for whatever reason gave him the strangest feeling of deja vu. In fact, it seemed the three of them shared such a feeling, as their rather unsubtle stranged looks gave away.
"I'm...sorry, this is probably gonna sound random but have we met before?"

With word of a fancy new island popping to life, it was quickly becoming no surprise that Kurumi was going to end up there. Touching down, from the ride provided by a giant noodle Amorie, Kurumi and a holosuited Remmy slid from the Mega's back just in time for her to re-issue her own holosuit. Mostly because it was a lot easier to examine things when the Mitamamon had opposable thumbs! For example, the device she whipped out seconds later! After listening to a familiar voice played back from it, she looked over to the only actual human out of the trio and stated, "Little Sister Marina says hi."
"Thanks? Tell her hi back, I guess." While the spirit user hadn't paid enough attention to know why Marina wanted to greet her, there was no point in being rude in response! After all, they were all on this 'mission' together! Even if they were on opposing sides of the island!
But now, the three had to take in the sights of the beach. Luckily, the Mitamamon had been kind enough to drop everyone off in a spot that wasn't completely coated in slimy algae, but that didn't mean she gave them a spot full of interesting treasures to check out! Or, had she? It seemed there was quite the gathering of digimon and humans checking something out. Maybe Dio could take some relief in the fact that they were actually not the last to arrive to the party! But it certainly made Rumi feel like she was late to something important!
And if there was cool treasure, her companions on the other side of the island would probably be less than thrilled if the spirit user failed to acquire it due to the crowd. Ugh, what a hassle. "Hey, Mori, can you get in there and check it out?"
"Why not me?" Remmy questioned, shoving his hands into his holosuit's pockets.
"'Cause you're weird."
"Why would you invite me, then?"
"You're less weird than the island."
Did that logic really work? It seemed like the best he was going to get out of the girl, so instead, the 'blonde' man scoffed, and began walking around the beach to see if he could find anything else nearby of use. Probably not, but apparently Mori was the treasured mercenary here! ...Which, she was. For plenty of valid reasons!
Once she had confirmed that Remmy wasn't going to be given the task instead of her, Amorie started toward the chest, with Rumi close behind. At the same time, she checked her device again, to see a new message had just come through!
“Say, Mori! We found a chest and we just opened it! I’ll keep you updated on what’s inside in a bit! Did you find anything interesting on your side? Tell me everything. Hope Kurumi’s behaving! From your favorite sister, kisses!”
This time, Rumi's nose scrunched. Hope that she was behaving? What could she possibly think that the blonde would be doing?
Not that it mattered much. There was treasure to explore here, too! "Affirmative, Little Sister Marina. It seems there's also a chest here. And many people. Miss Rumi's asked me to investigate, so I'll update you momentarily." There was a hesitant pause, while she looked to Kurumi and whispered, "do I have to say who I am at the end, too?" Which... only received a shrug from the blonde. So, she awkwardly looked down at the device and continued with, "Much affection, from Big Sister Mori." Did that work? Based on the snort from Kurumi, Mori couldn't help but think she should have left the ending off. Oops.
Ah well, there was treasure to take part in, and updates to learn about! Mori dropped the device into Rumi's hands, before making her way up to the Prariemon that was digging the chest free. "I hope you don't mind if I help a bit. Things tend to go faster with teamwork." Making sure to keep away from the claws of the digging bunny, Amorie would begin working to dust sand away from the lid of the chest. With the team effort, the chest would be easy to pop open in no time! After all, she was more interested in the contents, not about fully extracting the thing! The others could have the chest itself, for all they cared!
As soon as the group could get the top exposed enough, unless someone stepped in quickly or something terrifying happened, Mori would do the honor of popping the thing open. She could only hope something really fancy was inside. She wanted a fun update to give to her little sister, after all!

So many people, all of them eager to discover the secrets the ancient, yet-new-at-the-same-time island held. Some decided to take the scenic route and check the less-than-pleasant, algae-ridden beach, while others focused on unearthing the most noteworthy item at sight. Others just went searching around; not like there were many other sights to see, at least by the coast. Of course, this meant the focus could be concentrated on the chest that was just brought out by Amorie and Prairiemon.
Upon opening, the battered container revealed, among cobwebs and the obviously dusty scent of a long-buried item, a simple, old-fashioned cassette recorder. It seemed relatively undamaged despite its age. Even if not interacted with, the recorder would begin playing shortly after. “First account.”
A long beeping sound followed.
“We’re so excited to visit this island! Rumor has it that an epic fight took place here, in ages past, and whatever’s left’s finder’s keepers! Of course, it’d make zero sense that this beach hasn’t been scoured clean already, so we’re heading deeper into the jungle. Since that place’s a lot harder to access, that also means most of the loot is probably unclaimed. We’ll see soon!” The message was fairly short and it ended abruptly, but its volume was enough for anyone in a decent radius about it to listen. It was on the group (if it could be called group, even) to decide what were the next steps to take, and if everyone was on the same page regarding the journey as well.

It'd be immensely hypocritical of Miyako to actually criticize the Xros general for pretty much just going past her for the treasure without so much as a shred of acknowledgment when she was guilty of similar in the past.
However, you also have to consider this was a 12-year-old on some amount of spite. "Oh. Alright. Mantis, get-" "No. Good...I don't know what time it is. We appear to have a land of mystery upon us." Rabble was rabble.
"...Right, okay..." Miya conceded, putting a hand to her head and shaking it a bit to focus. Strongly worded thoughts aside, her attention was quickly swiped by people claiming familiarity with them. To their credit, they did look familiar to Miyako, but...To Mantis?
It was a reunion. "Ah...The ones who freed me from the mortal coil previously. At last, we meet again. The circumstances of our last meeting will not repeat themselves this time, I assure you." This, in turn, prompted a rather puzzled look from Miyako. "You know them...?"
"Kappy did."
A simple answer to a question that really begged for more of a story. But this isn't really the place for it, does the author of the post look like someone that'd try stealing the spotlight of a plot thread for themselves? No, they play a Kotemon, not...whoever would do that.
Anyways, with the help of a strange individual accompanying a lady standing a ways away, the chest was unearthed and popped open to play...a message! "An audio log...There's likely going to be more further in, so I'm going to propose we move ahead." A part of her was suspecting at least one party'd ignore that and do whatever they wanted. Don't prove her right.
"...Yet, if this is a log, it likely ends terribly. Be cautious. Also. You're forgetting something." Mantis pointed out. Pointedly. Miyako sighed, and cleared her throat. "...Also, my name's Miyako. Doubt anyone was wondering, though. This is Mantis."

As Fuzz dug the chest out Kima and the rest of her forces noticed that little by little more people were arriving on the island. Then her focus went to the younger girl who was likely no older than twelve at most. Perhaps she should at least introduce herself since it could be awhile till the chest was free.
Cautiously walking up to the girl with Takoda and Shillan keeping a close eye on her she said "Hello there. Sorry I didn't talk to you earlier but we became distracted by well you know.." She then indicated said treasure chest which Fuzz was digging up. "Anyway I'm Kima and those are my partners Takoda, Shillan, Blaster, Chaytan, and Fuzz." Kima said indicating each partner in turn.
The voice of a BlackGuilmon sounded as it was apparent he was introducing himself and Blaster, the ever social butterfly that he was, waved back before the Ballistamon said "Yeah we are explorin this place since it seemed ta pop outta nowhere. We heard tha island come up and came this way." Yeah he didn't mention it was Chaytan that noticed the island raising with his ability Eyes of the Hawk but it didn't seem relevant at this time. Meanwhile the Chaytan was looking over the more active beach not saying anything otherwise.
The Mitamamon known as Mori made her way over to where the Fuzz was still digging asking if she could help. Fuzz poked his head up and said "Fuzz could dig this up much faster if someones hold up the chest. Me would get crushed otherwise."
Blaster looked over to Fuzz and said "I can help too, little buddy." He then walked over to the chest grabbing hold of it and when it was secured Fuzz walked behind the chest and dug at an increased speed soon freeing the chest. Blaster had let go of the chest by this point and was brushing sand off him knowing some would later end up in his joints as sand tended to get into everything.
Takoda and Fuzz went up to the chest looking at the old recorder before it started playing a message on its own. "I agree with Mantis about being cautious. We don't know what is on this island." Shillan said nothing but the non vampiric Sangloupmon shook his head. He thought at times Takoda was a bit too cautious but in this case he had a valid point.

For a nice change of pace, it seemed the trio wasn't the last ones to arrive at the fabled chest of mysterious vagueness which indeed, brought Dio some slight solace. Key word slight, he wasn't about to jump for joy at this turn of events either, much less before seeing what was inside said chest. As they waited for the designated diggers of the group (both newly arrived and not) to be done, they'd just wait by the sidelines, fruitlessly trying to see if they could see a less crowded chest nearby, but alas, it seemed they would have to share whatever was inside.
In the mean time their suspicions proved accurate once the digimon named Mantis gave them an unexpected answer. Well, unexpected for Carlos at least, the other two already felt a deep familiarity with this one's data. After all, they had fought him more than once before...at least his past self. Once the initial surprised faded from their face, they'd both give an understanding nod of their head.
"Right, should have seen that coming." He didn't show it, but to some extent he felt relieved seeing the Kotemon. If nothing else, it was relieving to know some part of that old mon was still out in the world. Gio seemed to agree, quietly giving them what could only be described as a more respectful nod. He'd would have probably showered him with questions there and then, were it not for the contents of the chest stirring back to life, an old recorder that all but explicitly invited the group to go deeper into the island, something the trio were planning on doing anyways, regardless of Mantis and Shillan's words of caution.
"There's a bunch of us but yeah, you can never be too cautious." Carlos shrugged, turning his head as he mentally counted everyone on the group. "Probably would be best if we tried to not split up. We'd cover more ground sure but yanno, when has that ever gone well outside of a Scooby Doo episode?"
With that obviousness out of the way, it only felt right to get introductions out of the way now.
"Name's Carlos by the way." He said, before pointing at the twins. "Dio and Gio."

Teamwork really did pay off! Mori gave a nod at the bunny, and went to support the chest, only for another member of the bun's team to offer assistance. With the combined effort, it felt like it took no time to get the chest cleared and opened! The holosuited Digimon gave a squint, as the machine beeped, before extracting the recorder from the chest. It would finish playing, before Mori took it upon herself to hurry back over to her human, and press the item firmly into Kurumi's hand, while snatching back her walkie-talkie type device.
"I don't really want- Thanks, I guess." the blonde mumbled, while looking down at the recorder. It smelled musty. Gross. Shuffling closer to the group that had been listening to the recording, she'd slowly cycle through pressing any buttons that might have been on the recorder. Maybe it'd say more things! Or at least confirm if the tape would replay if they ended up needing it. Otherwise, this thing was probably trash, anyway.
Everyone else was busy between introductions and deciding how dangerous it was to proceed, so the blonde would wait a moment before providing her own input. In the meantime, Remmy would return to Rumi's side, and Mori would turn away to listen to any new messages on her own device. "I agree with the proposal for movin' ahead," she stated, not bothering to repeat everyone's concerns on caution. "Staying together's probably smart, though. 'Specially since-"
"Little Sister Marina said they found a compass," Mori cut in. "And a note about saying, 'first is -'; do you think our message also had something like that?" There was a part that might align with that message, right? The Mega wasn't entirely sure. She lacked a lot of life experience for even beginning to read into things too deeply. "The compass is telling them to enter the jungle, also."
For a moment, Kurumi stared at her partner, and then looked back to the group that she'd been interrupted from moments prior. "As I was sayin'. We have friends covering ground on another part of the island. So we can have safety in numbers without worrying about missin' something."
And, since neither of the girls seemed to be focused on sharing their own names, Remmy would quickly add in a gesture at himself, then each of them, "Remmy, Kurumi, Mori." Granted, only Rumi gave a wave at her name, while Mori had become absorbed in her toy again.
"Anyway, if the others are already going into the jungle, we probably should too. Not much point in staying here, right?" Not much point beyond potential safety, at least. Either way, the trio began walking toward the trees. They'd like to think that the rest would be coming along, too! Unless they had been dead-set on a beach day and all that talking was for nothing!
While walking, the holosuited 'girl', would send a message back to her sibling. "Little Sister Marina, we received a-"
"Tape recorder."
"-Tape recorder with a message saying the person was going into the jungle also, for loot." Admittedly, Mori didn't even know what loot meant. But, it's what the message said! "Mantis, another Digimon here, said if we found a message like this, that it probably ends badly." That... had been Mantis that said that, right? She really should have been looking up from her device during role call! Kids and their technology! "I'll update again soon. Affection? Big sister Amorie." She still wasn't sure how to sign off!
That said, now that she wasn't focused on playing with her toys, parts of the ended conversation were sinking in, and the white haired 'girl' turned to face Carlos, walking backwards if need be, to ask the utmost important question. "What's Scooby Doo?"

A group was being slowly formed, introductions were made, and even plans of action were being discussed! Progress in every sense of the word; it was also true that their tendency to talk things instead of acting too much in regards to what they were given could be perceived as lack of initiative, but that just couldn’t be, right? Especially since at least three members of it were already heading deeper into the jungle.
What could be said from the place itself, however? The panorama was both undoubtedly untouched by any meddling hands and extremely primal. Trees, weeds, vines and other kinds of less-frequent kinds of Digital World vegetation burgeoned with strength that could only be achieved by isolation. And, as breathtaking as the sight was, this made the terrain very hard to traverse at an adequate pace, be it by land or air. Whether the group decided to just tread in accordance to the thicket’s rules or decided to do something else in order to ease their trek. Good thing that, at least in the Digital World, this kind of biome wasn’t completely teeming with mosquitoes.
Assuming that the group kept advancing inward, keen individuals would notice that they were not quite alone in their exploration. It was fairly hard to perceive, but not impossible; leaves faintly rustling here and there, the sound of light steps a fair distance away from them, but just enough for them to be heard if one attempted to do so. The culmination of such acts was a sizable blur of brown… fur? That was heading towards a very specific direction deeper into the jungle.
What to do in regards to it? For the group to decide!

"Sorry to just volunteer you like that." Miyako stated towards the poor blonde girl who probably wanted to be literally anywhere else. Like, dang. The notion that there were two groups on the island counting theirs was interesting, though.
"More ground covered...I like this. Please give them my utmost praise." Miyako chirped! Mantis' own addition was a little less...well, it had less in terms of volume, but he seemed alright with the developments. "...Mmm. Unexpected, but not unwelcome."
Either way. They had someplace to go, and Miyako decided to be the one to lead them in, given she had gotten here first, practically! There was a very unimportant question to ask, however, she took point with Mantis and advance inwards. "...This is for later, but what's Scooby-Doo?"
So, on Mantis' end of things...He favored the form of Kotemon a lot--a form that had rather keen hearing as a remnant from their in-training form of Kapurimon. As a result of such traits, he heard those light steps, and every time he did? He tried turning to sight them. At most, he saw that brown blur heading in a direction.
...And it kind of pissed him off.
"As much as I wish to split off to follow that speedy piece of shit, it is ill-advised to split the group. I will propose we head in that direction, if only so curiosity may slay the cat and allow for the revivification via satisfaction."
Miyako stopped. Stared at her partner. Looked between him and everyone else. Looked back to Mantis.
"What?" The 12 year old stated, looking bewildered. "Was that even any language? I don't...What the heck? Either way. Uh. Thoughts?" She was honestly wondering if she should break off herself, but...
...That wouldn't be fair to the others.

Kima was picking up on the general unease some characters were going through but didn't know if she could help. However when the question of what was Scooby Doo came up this was one way she felt she could help. "Uhm. Scooby Doo is an old cartoon humans created about a group of teenage detectives and their somewhat cowardly talking dog named Scooby Doo." Kima said. 'Damn it. Why can't I even fake sounding confident? What will the others think about me?' Kima thought looking as if she was about to brake down before Takoda silently calmed her by gently rubbing his head against her leg.
Meanwhile Blaster stepped a bit away from the chest noticing the confusion on the twelve year old's face before he said "I think a sayin ya might be more familiar with that might also fit this situation is not ta put tha cart before tha horse." The former nightclub DJ then looked at Mantis and said "Easy there, Mantis. Your partner's just a kid and only knows so much about language."
When Mantis mentioned a brown blur Kima, with thought said "A brown blur..."
"A brown blur, huh? We have a couple digimon that can move fast here but like Takoda said we should stick together." Blaster said looking at Takoda and Fuzz specifically having an inkling the others would get what he was getting at without getting into further detail.
Meanwhile Chaytan acted of his own accord not knowing if Kima would ask him to do anything and flew up high into the air overlooking the forest but still in sight of the others as his eyes began to glow. "Eyes of the Hawk!" Maybe his ability could help the group plan their next move or even find an efficient way to get ahead of the fast moving digimon.
OOC: Chaytan uses his Eyes of the Hawk to scout ahead while sticking close to the group.
Eyes of the Hawk: His eyes glow and then he is able to see for miles ahead of him or if he is in the air he can see the ground from miles in the air.(Last 1 post)(Cooldown of 1 post) Lasts 0/1 posts.

There was some slight comfort to be found in learning they weren't the only group like this on the island, and the fact they had a readily available line to communicating with them in case something went wrong was also pretty nice. With their spirits slightly reinvigorated the trio followed along after the group, the twins hanging out closer to watch the rear while Carlos kept closer to the rest of the group.
He soon found himself taking a deep breath as he was asked on the specifics of Scooby Doo not once but twice. He could almost feel himself physically age at least a decade, wondering if he was the one out of touch in this situation, before rationalizing it a bit: the more he thought about it the less far fetched it was for Miyako or Mori to not know about old cartoon dogs. Still, he wasn't expecting this much of a reaction, and he wasn't sure if going into the deep lore of a Hanna Barbera cartoon was the best topic mid hike.
"...just an old show." He muttered in almost a dejected tone, not really adding much to Kima's ensuing explanation as he quietly continued walking, as if trying to outrun the subject without having to actually move any faster.
On the other end meanwhile Mantis wouldn't be the only one to notice the rather unsubtle movements happening close by: while hearing wasn't neither of the twins' strong or weak suit really, but they could both very much smell whoever was roaming around them with all the subtlety and coyness of a broken escape tube at 4 AM. It bothered them slightly, more so in the case of Dio. Surely nobody that made this lousy an attempt at staying hidden could have good intentions
"I wouldn't mind looking out for them. Maybe they just want to say hi?" Gio proposed as Miyako asked for input, not sounding partilarly convinced himself as he continued to sniff at the air. The imp seemed to share the same amount of annoyance and curiosity as Mantis, but relented slightly as Chaytan took to the air to scout around. Key word slightly.
"Doubt it, but seconded. I'd rather not having to be on the lookout for someone stabbing us while our backs are turned."
"I'd probably be a bit more hesitant but such is democracy I guess, let's just don't forget what we're supposed to be doing." Carlos meanwhile shrugged, clearly not in the mood to try and talk his own partners out of this. Besides, he too wasn't a big fan of being stalked by someone or something, doubly so on completely uncharted land.

The teen gave a shrug in the direction of Miyako. At this point, she gave up on clicking buttons on the recorder, since nothing else seemed to happen, and was just awkwardly holding it.
Meanwhile, Mori would nod with excitement at the positive response to having others on the island. "I'll tell them once I hear from Little Sister Marina again!" Okay, Mori, you can just call her Marina now. Everyone understands she's your sister.
Once it was agreed upon, Rumi was glad to let Miyako take the lead. Frankly, she didn't want to be the one feeling responsible for all these people! And if there was some weird trap, she probably wouldn't be the dummy who triggered it this way!
While others got a brief explanation of the 'old cartoon,' Remmy matched pace with Carlos, to try to ease the pain of his old-timer-ness. "If it helps, Amorie's only a couple of months old. The only cartoon dog she's watched is from Blue's Clues." She'd probably have to work her way up to something as 'complex' as the mystery gang! "Can't defend anyone else, though."
"Anyone else think the live action for it was kind'a creepy, though?" Maybe Kurumi was just too young when she'd watched it, but something just felt unsettling about the Scooby cast un-cartoon-ified.
Out of this trio, the blonde was unfortunately the first to acknowledge the blur. She scrunched her nose a bit, trying to establish if she had been seeing things. Luckily, before she could spiral into any level of concern about hallucinating, others started talking about it. Thank god. Her next move was to grab ahold of Mori's arm, to prevent her from taking chase. Not necessarily because Amorie was trying to, but because anyone who was ever around a toddler knew that they were flight risks.
After the holosuited digimon gave a look at her human, she turned her head to Mantis. If Scooby Doo didn't make sense to her, what Mantis said was also a lost cause. At least it was easy enough to figure out context from everyone else! "I would also like to follow the blur," she announced, cheerfully.
"Might as well." At least with Chaytan in the air, if there was anything particularly concerning, they would probably be able to spot it before literally stepping on it! "Wanna tell Marina?"
"Oh, right." Mori hadn't heard back from her yet! But, that was probably fine! She'd just send out a quick message! "Little Sister Marina, we're playing detectives, like in The Scooby Doo. Something brown and moving further inland. We're following it. Everyone says they appreciate you and the others for being here. Loving sign-off message. Big Sister Amorie." She... really wasn't getting any better at these messages. Ah, well.
At least that meant they could go after the mystery creature without worrying about the group splitting up!
Still holding onto Amorie's arm, Rumi would let someone else continue to take the lead on this adventure. Just because they were curious didn't mean they needed to lead the charge, after all!
