Terminus. The largest city in the Digital World and quite the sight to one who had never been to many large cities. This was just what Kshin and Grace both felt as they got off the Trailmon at the station. As the two friends walked the streets Kshin was beginning to look uneasy about trying to perform a magic show here and that was apparent with the way his tail was nervously swishing.
Grace, who was taking pictures with her camera, suddenly noticed that Kshin was looking uneasy and put her camera away by placing it underneath her scarf. She then began rubbing Kshin's back causing the nervous Gumdramon to begin to trill as his tail went from a nervous twitch to an excited one. Grace had always found Kshin's habit of trilling cute but almost never utilized it so as to avoid embarrassing him.
"Don't worry, Kshin. We don't have to begin performing right away. We can always see more of the city first." Grace said with a smile her peppy attitude seemingly contagious as it caused Kshin to smile.
"Yeah. You have a point. Maybe after getting a look around I might be more relaxed too." Kshin said still smiling.
"That and maybe we can also find a good spot for you to perform while looking around."
The pair continued on their way walking through Terminus looking about the various shops when the faint hint of movement from what was likely a fairly small digimon caught Grace's attention out of the corner of her eye causing her to look in the general direction the movement came from seeing a Terriermon Assistant looking at something in the window of one of the shops appearing to be analyzing said item. Kshin noticed Grace had come to a stop and walked back to her before silently facing in the direction Grace was facing catching sight of the lab coat wearing digimon.
The Terriermon Assistant was standing in front of the window of a boutique looking at the clothing in the window but with a neutral expression on her face as she wasn't the most emotionally expressive type of digimon. Her paw was resting on her chin before she let out a sigh of disappointment in what was in the window. Sure the outfits weren't ugly but they didn't exactly stand out either making her wonder why such outfits were in full view in the front window which normally nicer products were displayed.

Rai had just finished buying a handful of digivice upgrades and a holo suit-- thankfully his digivice had come loaded with a decent amount of bits-- now he was just looking around. This place was so big it was easy to get lost-- he may not have found the market district if it weren't for a giant snowman--Frigimon he remembered. He held the large finger of a 3 foot-something tall Keramon in his hand, guiding them along like a smaller child.
He approached what looked like a giant rabbit digimon looking at some outfits in the window of a store. Glancing at his own clothes, he shrugged and began to make his way over to get a better look.
Meanwhile the Keramon's head swung this way and that like it was as bit too heavy, taking in all the sights.
"Can I eat that?" asked Keramon, suddenly pointing at an outfit in the window. "No Y2K, that's a mannequin." Rai explained drolly, as if he'd answered this question, or questions like it multiple times. "You can't eat clothes and mannequins."
"Are you sure? Have you tried?" Y2K quizzed, not convinced merely by Rai's statement. "No I haven't tried, and we aren't going to try. Just take my word for it." he insisted in a bored tone, but Keramon pressed his face into the glass anyway "You don't know for sure if you don't try! I can eat all the things! All the things!" Y2K said with childish excitement. Rai put his face in his palm. "Oh god, we are surrounded by data. Coming here was a mistake..."

Looks like things had only gotten more interesting as Kshin and Grace were observing the Terriermon Assistant when a human teen came into sight with a Keramon at his side. Said human seemed to be holding the finger of the Keramon much as a parent or older sibling would hold the hands of a small child. Maybe the Keramon was fairly young then such a behavior would make sense.
The human seemed to take notice of the Terriermon Assistant as he made his way with the Keramon to get a better look at the display in the window. The Keramon's actions were rather curious to Kshin and Grace as the pair had gotten close enough to over hear the Keramon ask if he could eat the outfit or perhaps the mannequin in the window. How many Keramon had unusual tastes when it came to eating because this Keramon was beginning to remind him of another one named Rush in that manner.
The Terriermon Assistant's ears perked up before she turned her gaze to the pair with a flash of curiosity directed at the human and digimon before she calmly said "Not everything in any world is meant to be eaten young one." Her tone was also patient sounding as it seemed she was dealing with a fairly young digimon that likely didn't know any better. "As for the outfits, while nice I worry for the owner as it seems her heart isn't fully in her work though I don't think I can blame the poor dear."
"Why? What happened to the owner?" Kshin asked suddenly butting into the conversation as he and Grace were looking at the group with two pairs of large amber eyes. It was clear to the Terriermon Assistant that the Gumdramon and Gammamon duo were pretty young themselves probably barely old enough to be on their own but judging by the scent of their data Mona was easily able to tell they weren't twins or siblings for that matter.

Rai took his face out of his hand and nodded to the rabbit-mon, telling Y2K "I get it, you eat data, and everything here is made of data; That doesn't mean everything here becomes food. I'll feed you when we go home. Now behave." with a distinct lack of emotive energy. He sounded like he was bored despite this being his first time in a magical VR dimension surrounded by a myriad of magic VR creatures... or Digimon.
Y2K peeled his face from the glass and dangled his head backwards to look at Rai upside down, making his comically large grin look like an equally large frown, complete with a secondary pair of eyes or eye like markings 'above'. "Really? Hmm.. Maybe it wasn't tasty anyway..." Keramon pondered... but how would he ever know for sure?
When the owner came up Rai merely looked to the digital creature who asked and back to the rabbit thing with a quirked eyebrow, prompting Y2K to twist around to look at the Terriermon now in his upside down 'frowny' way, each showing their interest without a comment, as the question had already been asked.

Now that everyone was looking at her Mona looked over the group noting how the Keramon had twisted his body but didn't seem bothered as some digimon were just natural contortionists. "The owner has been having trouble since her husband has gone missing. She is an Ogremon with considerable talent and I have bought things from this shop before in my travels. Her husband is a Leomon and is one of the most gentle souls I've seen amongst digimon. It seems without him her heart hasn't been in the work."
"That's terrible. Does she have any idea how her husband disappeared?" Grace asked with a sad expression on her face.
"Only rumors regarding other digimon that have vanished in the night though I don't know how to use that to help her." the Terriermon Assistant said showing the first hint of emotion they had noticed. It was a look that showed she felt bad for the owner of the shop.
"Maybe if we come up with some plan then we can find out what happened. You said it has been happening at night, right? How long has this been going on?" Kshin asked.
"This has been going on for roughly a month and the citizens have been understandably hesitant to head out at night." Mona said.
Kshin looked over at Rai and Y2K before he said "What about you? Would you two like to help us out? If the problem is a digimon then I'm sure between us we can track this guy down."

Wait what? They were asking him to find a digimon kidnapper? He didn't even know what an Ogremon or Leomon were... or what could threaten them. He was going to have to say no obviously. There was no way he was getting involved in something dangerous like-- "Okay! Sounds fun!" Ehhhh?! Y2K what are you saying? "Now hold on we-" there was a note of some kind of some kind of emotion in his voice, "-We can figure it out! Rai is smart!" before his partner cut him off. You are killing me Y2K... potentially actually killing me. This isn't a game!
Rai took out his digivice to identify the three digimon. Terriermon, Gumdramon. Gammamon. They looked like rookies? Maybe Ogremon and Leomon are rookies too? But then the kidnapper might be a Champion or higher... he didn't even want to think about higher than champion level. "Well before we get ahead of ourselves, don't you think we should talk to Ms. Ogremon?" he suggested blandly. If he meets Ogremon maybe he'd be able to guess what level she'd be.
Y2K immediately slipped his finger out of Rai's grip and rushed into the store, calling "HELLOOOO!" Keramon your initiative concerns me and my health.

Though the human, who was called Rai by the Keramon, appeared hesitant to help it seemed Rai's partner was fully game for such an endeavor. Grace smiled and clapped her paws before she said "Great! I'm sure between all of us we can figure this all out."
Rai seemed to have a good idea already by talking to Ms. Ogremon and said That's a good idea. Oh and my name is Kshin and my friend with me is Grace." He then looked over at the Terriermon Assistant and asked "Do you have a name miss."
"The name is Mona, young ones." she answered catching notice of how the Keramon was darting into the shop and then said "Perhaps we should head in since the young Keramon seems very eager to help." With that Kshin, Grace, and Mona began heading inside the shop soon spotting a large ogre digimon working on a sewing machine before the sound of an excited youngster caught her attention.
Getting up from her work she walked over to Y2K and asked "Can I help you, little one?"
"Do forgive the young one, Ogremon. I told him and some other youngsters what has been happening and they want to try to help find your husband and the other kidnapped digimon." Mona said approaching Ogremon.
"Mona? It's nice to see you again but I don't know how much help I can be." Ogremon said as she sighed.

Rai followed into the shop, but was quickly floored by Ms. Ogremon's appearance, stopping where he stood to stare. This was a woman? And theres no way she's a rookie level like Keramon. He didn't offer much in the way of readable expression beyond wider eyes than earlier.
Y2K 's head jostled aggressively with excitement not unlike a bobblehead. "We want to help find your partner!" he proclaimed earnestly, only getting bouncier by the moment. His excess of energy only served to make his bizarre body and its language more erratic.
He blinked and cleared his throat. "Pardon us terribly, but could you tell us about your husband Leomon? Where he was or was supposed to be going when he vanished, what level he is? What you think it would take to take him against his will and a guess at where we'd look for anyone like that?" he rattled off in a dull, possibly resigned tone that fit someone asking questions about a scavenger hunt they didn't really want to be on.
"Rai's smart!" Y2K repeated. Rai wasn't sure how much his kind of smarts were going to help. He knew he was preparing to get in way over his head. But disappointing these people felt bad for some reason after Y2K had volunteered them. Disappointing Y2K in this situation felt worse.

Ogremon seemed surprised by Y2K's enthusiasm and even managed a smile when Mona had explained things. "Thank you but I don't know much." she said looking understandably sad.
When Rai began asking questions she seemed unsure how to respond before Kshin, in a reasuring way, said "Please miss. Even a little bit of information might be able to be enough to find out how to find everyone."
"Leomon went out at night for a grocery run and though I was worried he said he should be fine since all the other digimon that went missing were rookies but then he didn't come back. I don't know who would do something like this to such a gentle soul as my husband. My husband and I are champion level digimon." Ogremon said as she made her way over to a picture sitting on the nearby counter of her and him together before picking it up and looking at it sadly
"So who ever this is only seems to strike at night and most of the missing digimon are rookies. That means the likelihood of the kidnapper being stronger than a champion isn't very likely." Kshin said his paw on his chin as he mentally went through what they had learned.
Noticing how uncertain Rai looked Grace piped up. "Cheer up, Rai. I know you're worried but Kshin is a strong dragon that can reach the champion level. So if it comes to a fight we should be fine." Grace said with an optimistic tone.
"Maybe we can find some way to find this digimon. Hmm. Since he comes out at night then why don't we head into the town after dark to see if we can catch the creep in the act." Kshin said.

Rai listened to what Ms. Ogremon had to say about the matter. An ill fated grocery run, and they were both champions--and apparently it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. Kshin also had important information, that the majority of the missing digimon were rookies--which made Leomon an anomaly; was it possible Leomon wouldn't fight back? Were the missing rookies used as blackmail?
Yet it was Grace's words that made him feel less like this entire idea was suicidal. If the Gumdramon could digivolve then one champion and two rookies supposedly outmatch a single champion. Supposedly. His job would to avoid making Y2K a liar and use his head.
"Alright. Lets think about this. We have three rookies and one that can digivolve. Y2K and Grace could act as bait in a place we think the kidnapper might show up, while Kshin could wait in ambush ready to pounce when they do." he paused a moment to think about his role before shrugging.
"I'm not sure what I can do, but if somehow the kidnapper starts getting away I can -try- to trip them up with the bag of marbles I have--or maybe they could be an opportune distraction if I threw them? Maybe they won't be any use at all. I won't really know until things are happening." he produced the bag of medium sized steel ball bearings, "I'm open to ideas on how I can help." he wound up.

Grace grinned at Rai's idea though she didn't mention that she could reach champion as well and wouldn't digivolve unless it got to a point where Kshin couldn't handle it. "I have a feeling between all of us we can bring this kidnapper down and maybe they'll release the victims." Ogremon looked hopeful and as much as she wanted to help her heart just wasn't up for a battle and hadn't been since Leomon vanished.
"Leomon may not of been as big or muscular as the average Leomon but he can still hold his own since he is much leaner and faster on his feet than the average Leomon." Ogremon said as she showed them a picture of her and her husband.
Grace then said "He's definitely as handsome as the average Leomon tends to be but one of Kshin's adoptive parents is a Leomon too but a little bigger. Leomon are a species known for their prowess as warriors regardless of what size they are."
"My husband may not usually fight but he is trained in various fighting styles so he more than knows how to defend himself and has even held his own against ultimates just long enough to provide the diversion we needed. He usually would keep them at a distance with his speed until the local authorities showed up." Ogremon said.
"I'll be helping too. Ogremon and Leomon are good digimon that don't deserve what has happened to them." Mona said before she continued "And I'm sure the marbles might come in handy if used at the right time, Rai."
"So all together we'll have me, Kshin, Y2K, and Mona if it comes to a fight. I like those odds." Grace said looking a bit fired up.
"All we have to do is wait for night before having Y2K and Grace head out like planned." Kshin said his tail hammer swishing. "When they head out the rest of us will tail them at a distance." Hopefully that would be enough to catch the creep in the act. Kshin had a feeling that this would work but didn't know why and kept it to himself.
After nightfall came Grace walked out of the shop waving at Y2K to get the Keramon to follow her. When they made it to the end of the street Kshin poked his head out and said "Showtime." He then lead the group to follow the pair at a distance.

His plan was quickly accepted; Grace in particular had liked their odds; which remained encouraging for Rai. He was convincing himself this was a sane course of action for him and Y2K to be a part of. Ms. Ogremon looked like she had hope, which made the idea of disappointing her feel even worse. His first day in the digital world and he was already getting tangled in other people's problems-- this was dangerous he reminded himself.
Hearing more about Leomon was also valuable-- even if he didn't know what a Leomon looked like. He supposed he may simply know Mr. Leomon when he saw him. Speedier and leaner than... whatever an average Leomon was. Some kind of leonine warrior presumably. But if he had been fast enough to outpace an ultimate... that all but made him certain, either Leomon was caught unawares, or had been influenced somehow to go quietly.
Hearing Mona declare she was going to help too put the math further in their favor-- in theory. He gave her a very faint smile as she assured him there was a chance the marbles could be useful if he timed it well. It made him feel less useless for now.
Time passed as they waited for night to fall. He perused the garments in the shop such as they were for a while before sitting down with Y2K near a shelf. Eventually their moment came. Y2K and Grace went ahead as Rai joined Kshin and Mona to follow them quietly from afar.

As the group followed Grace keeping a close eye on the pair, Mona's ears twitched and Kshin knew that meant she was using her acute sense of hearing to give them a chance of hearing a potential threat before it became a problem. Kshin at some level wondered if Mona could digivolve as she seemed clearly a fair deal older than he and Grace were. She was definitely old enough to be able to reach the champion level but maybe she just preferred her rookie. Deciding to get his mind back on the task he looked back in Grace and Y2K's direction.
Something then happened as Mona's ears began standing on end but she didn't have to say anything as Kshin felt it. While he didn't have magic he knew what magical energies felt like. As a fireball formed in the sky and dropped down toward Grace and Y2K the young Gumdramon sprinted out grabbing ahold of the two pulling them back from the flames which peetered out revealing a FlameWizardmon. Kshin growled as he recognized this particular FlameWizardmon to boot. It was the one that wanted revenge on Mandrake's father by planning to kill Mandrake.
"Well. Well. If it isn't Mandrake's younger boy. I wouldn't take that tone with me child seeing as I am more than capable of dealing with you." FlameWizardmon said with a smirk.
"Are you the one responsible for the kidnappings?" Kshin asked the growl in his voice still prevalent.
"Of course. Though I was hoping to lure in Mandrake but if I grab his youngest child then he'll have to come to rescue you." FlameWizardmon said as one of his matchstick wands lit on fire. Kshin was not about to update FlameWizardmon that he was no longer the youngest child since he had two new sisters now and he and Grace had not met the youngest of the two yet in person. He was glad FlameWizardmon wasn't a telepath.
"I've gotten much stronger than when you last saw me." Kshin said as he began to glow with the light of digivolution before he said "Gumdramon digivolve to....Arresterdramon!" Now he was a larger dragon with metal all over his body but still had amber eyes that somehow looked menacing as they were directed at FlameWizardmon.
"Interesting but don't think I will be that easy to defeat young man." FlameWizardmon smirked.

The heck was that? A fireball? A wizard? A fireball wizard?! There was a Dungeons and Dragons joke here, but it had to be beneath him. He couldn't hear everything from where he was standing, but he watched Kshin digivolve into some kind of dragon-man to confront the pyromancer. Woah.
Y2K however rudely interrupted their banter with, "Bug Blaster! Kekyehehehehehehe!" spitting out a couple of volleyball sized bullets of destructive pink light from the side as he cackled at FlameWizardmon, "Time to play!"
Rai hadn't seen Y2K do that before! Glanced to Mona. "Still four mons versus one. We like our chances?" he asked in a blasé manner that didn't reflect how he was feeling at all. He was gripping his bag of marbles securely. He was nervous. Not only could he get hurt, but everyone else--including Y2K-- seemed all but guaranteed to. The idea of the Keramon being burned filled him with dread, and a familiar, personally terrifying feeling; anger.

FlameWizardmon looked at Y2K in an unimpressed manner as he shot flames from the wand in his hand to parry the Keramon's strike. "You think that you can beat me by allying yourself with children? I'll have you know that I am much more experience in battle and obvious brute strength tatics won't help you even with the help of three rookies."
"You are arrogant and if you are so skilled then why is Mandrake a far greater wizard then you despite being younger than you himself. I doubt it's just because his own father is a great magician." Kshin said catching the look of fury on FlameWizardmon's face as the young dragon had obviously struck a rather sore spot for the evil magician.
The glare directed from FlameWizardmon to Kshin looked outright murderous before he was able to compose himself. No he would not lose his cool but the dragon child would have to be taught a lesson in manners. "Very well then, Kshin. Show me what you can do."
Kshin's eyes flashed before he lept toward FlameWizardmon while Mona yelled for the Arresterdramon to wait but it seemed to fall on deaf ears as Kshin roared "Mach Flicker!" Kshin's fists then became a barrage of high speed punches which passed through FlameWizardmon before he faded from sight. An illusion. Kshin whipped his head around looking for the wizard wanting to kick himself for falling for such an obvious trick since one of his adoptive parents was a Wizardmon with a knack for illusions.
Then he sensed magic before being struck from behind with a flaming punch hitting the ground face first before didigivolving back into Gumdramon. FlameWizardmon then walked up to Kshin grabbing the young one by his tail and holding him up and though Kshin flailed around it seemed hopeless. Grace growled and was about to jump in while Mona was gone? Kshin looked confused for a moment before a large hand grabbed ahold of FlameWizardmon's wrist causing the wizard to drop Kshin in shock at the sight of a large fluffy rabbit but before he could do anything the rabbit digimon locked arms around the guy as it, in a familiar voice, said "Quaking Suplex!"
"Wait? Mona?" He asked as the ground around them shook from the force of Mona's sudden strike.
OOC: Kshin uses his Mach Flicker only to be thwarted for the effort. Mach Flicker: Strikes out with a barrage of high speed punches.
Mona uses Quaking Suplex. Quaking Suplex: She locks her arms around an opponent before suplexing them to the ground with enough force to create a small earthquake.
