Avery smiled at Tatsuya as he conversed with Ryouta in Japanese, then with herself in English. "It's okay, I know little, but some." She blanched, realizing how bad her Japanese sounded, especially with her slightly European accent.
-So you aren't japanese. I knew it. So, are you on holiday here or have you recently moved into Shibuya?-
A.J had to ponder the question for a moment. "No, I'm not Japanese. My dad is Italian and my mom is Swedish...but really I was born in France," she relented with a slight blush. Her background story was definitely far from ordinary. "I speak English, German and Italian. This is the first Asian country my family has traveled to. We live here....er, for now," she said, her dark brows furrowing as she remembered her father's job.
Turning back to both boys, she definitely see that both had some Japanese characteristics, but she wondered why Tatsuya could speak better English, However, she didn't bring it up just in case it embarrassed the other boy, and she was never one to do that. To call out features or characteristics of a person that might be considered odd or that might cause some discomfort to the person. "So, are you both from Japan?"
When Dodomon brought her music to her attention again, she had forgotten all about him asking. "Well, I wouldn't mind doing it again, it's just that I think the stage is busy. Do you want to go outside? I could probably play out there without disturbing anyone."
Turning to Ryouta, she tried her best with a smile. "You're welcome, to, uhm....come with."

"...Looks like we're in... uh... same... position... is that... correct?" Ryouta sheepishly commented at both him and AJ's way of communicating. Both are in rather foreign situation where one have to talk in Japanese and another must talk in English. Both are not fluent, and it's rather awkward. In a sense, Tatsuya is the bridge for two of them, but honestly, Ryouta doesn't want to bother the older teen... too much at least.
"Er, yes... I born... here and... always... here, not ever going... out of country... Father and Mother... both Japanese." he replied to AJ's inquiry. Next time, someone should remind him to bring dictionary... English-Japanese one. Those are nice one to have.
Babydmon popped out again after Tetsuya's calming words, although he's still unsure that the purple blob would act nice just because his Tamer told him so. The small green seahorse dragon decided that there's no helping it. His partner would probably still be hanging around with them. For his partner, Babydmon is ready to do anything. He eyed his partner, asking what would they do now.
"I'll be... coming then."

Tatsuya listened to Avery's story with interest. So she wasn't from Japan after all, in fact, she was European! Well that explained why she didn't know much Japanese. He realized that Avery's story and that of himself were not so different at all. As she told how she had lived the past years, her cheeks blushed, which Tatsuya thought was cute with a slight, half smile. When questioned if he was from Japan, the boy couldn't help but to smile. He let Ryouta speak first due to his broken English, saving his speech for later.
Finally, he got his turn
-A lot of people ask me that, and I think I know why. Since my body features are more occidental than oriental. You know, deep blue eyes and stuff, and since I speak both English and Japanese, it's easy to make mistakes when guessing my origin. I don't think I do know where I'm from... let me explain. I was born eighteen years ago, in the USA. My father was japanese, but my mother was american, and I took a lot after her. Due to my father's job, I've been traveling nonstop between all kinds of countries, mostly English speaking ones. In fact, I think I've also been to Italy once or twice. I've learned a handful of languages, but mostly the basic concepts. However, English and Japanese pose no problem.
That kind of lifestyle was tiring, to say the truth, so when I started college I decide to move by myself, leaving alone my parents and my brother Ryuu. That was... three weeks ago, and I met Dodomon the day I finished moving here. So I think our stories are not so different at all, Ave. For me, it's easy to understand your way of living -he finished, looking at the young female, whose cheeks were returning to the normal colour.
After that, her attention was focused on Dodomon again, and she accepted to sing a bit for him, but out of the bar, since it was kind of noisy and crowded at that moment. -You better thank Ave, pal. Specially after how you've behaved with both of their partners -his Tamer told him, but Dodomon wasn't listening to what he had to say, just as usual. -Yaaaaaay -the purple furball expressed his enthusiasm without thinking that she was a human, and thus, she couldn't be good at all. However, his baby brain had taken control once again, and it would probably keep doing so until Dodomon grew and evolved.
-Since he is as he is, I'll say it myself. Thanks, Ave. It's okay for me to go outside, so lead the way.

She listened intently to both boys story. Ryouta's was very short, explaining that yes he was from Japan and had never been out of the country. She caught that much. She offered him a soft smile, then turned to Tatsuya. She nodded at his more lengthy tale, but it was definitely interesting. After he was finished he commented on how they had a similar story. "Yeah, actually we are really similar. My father is a Italian ambassador," she admitted with a small sigh. "So that's why we moved here. And now that you mention it, I met Patch the day we moved here too, so that's kind of odd."
When they both said they were willing to go outside, she nodded and stood up. She shifted her guitar strap to her shoulder where she could hold Patch. She picked her way through the crowd and out a side door. Thankfully, she hadn't caught a glimpse of her mother or Henry, which meant they probably hadn't seen her either.
She rounded the building until she came to a comfortable enough looking spot. Patch settled clambered up onto a fire escape a level above her. Still close enough to be protective, but high enough to watch out. A.J shook her head at her Digimon's strange behavior, but quickly dismissed it. She glanced at both boys. For some reason, she felt much more exposed here in the daylight with just two viewers instead of the forty or so that had been in the dark coffee shop. But she had said she would play...
She bent her head over the guitar, a dark curtain of hair falling over her face. She tuned and re-tuned the guitar until she was sure she would get the appropriate sound. The sound that emitted from the instrument was a bit faster than her show earlier and held a little bit of folky undertone. Next came her voice, fast and rapid at times, then slowing a bit. Up and down, up and down, the beat, her voice fell in rhythmic waves.
When she was done, she glanced up from her sitting position against the brick wall exterior of the coffee house through a fringe of dark lashes. Her azure gaze flicked back down to her guitar where she continued to fidget and mess with the knobs and strings.

Once they're outside, Babydmon climbed out of Ryouta's bag, right into the teen's arm. Despite he can easily float, somehow it's much nicer when he got someone to latch on. The baby Digimon knows he's just still in-training, therefore won't help much if he's far from his tamer when attack happened. That's why he opted to be as close as possible to Ryouta.
...Then again, attack, in this kind of situation? He's somehow being too paranoid. His thought cut short when AJ start singing. Ryouta likes the song and overall performance, that's for sure, but for Babydmon... the little dragon Digimon looked at the young lady in awe. It's said that some dragon really loves song, and it can pacifies them easily. Somehow, Ryouta cannot deny that. His partner's eyes sparkling with interest.
"T-t-t-t-that was awesome!" the baby dragon commented out loud. "T-that nice voice... that art... what is it called...?"
"Singing?" Ryouta offered.
"Yes, that! It's very sensational, very very nice and calming... It's the first time I heard something like that! It's really nice, really really---"
The baby dragon rambled on and on, showering praises. To Ryouta, it's rather an awkward situation, AJ cannot speak Japanese that well, and probably her understanding is shaky at best... now how to translate it all to the foreigner girl? Well for now...
"Emm... he said it's great. I... think the same."
Hopefully that's enough to get the message across.

Wow. Right there, Tatsuya was talking with the daughter of an italian ambassador! That seemed to be pretty important, to say the least, and it explained why they had been moving continuously from one place to another. -Well, my father's job isn't as impressive. He has a position in a software company, that's all. -the teen said, starting to follow AJ along with Ryouta out of the building.
As they rounded the small brick formation, they found a spot that Ave seemed to find comfortable enough, she sat down, and started tunning her guitar. Dodomon couldn't understand: before, the moment she touched that thing, it had started emitting some kind of noise.
-What is she dowing, Tatsuya? -asked the purple furball to his Tamer. -She's just tunning the guitar so it sounds nice. Otherwise the music would be flawed, I believe -the Tamer said, putting Dodomon on the floor, as nobody seemed to be nearby to watch them. As he thought, he didn't care for either Patch or Babydmon: it truly wanted to hear Avery sing again.
Then, he could let him have a little more movement. Drawing out his Digivice and guiding Dodomon towards a hidden spot, he pointed it at the Digimon. -I'll give you a little more freedom -he said, as light enveloped the little fresh Digimon. -Dodomon shinka... -in the bubble of light, its skin was ripped apart, revealing a digital-like tissue. Small limbs grew, and its body elongated. As the new layer of fur covered him again, the bubble faded. -Dorimon! -the little In-Training happily said, jumping onto his Tamer's right shoulder.
They quickly returned to where AJ was. -Sorry about that, I just wanted him to be more comfortable -he excused himself. That moment, Avery began her perfomance once again. This time it was faster than before, and her voice tone was also different as well. Maybe she was uncomfortable for some reason? Well, her partner didn't seem to worry, so it was fine them, he guessed.
Dorimon's mouth opened in awe as music filled his ears, his big eyes shining. He stood still as Avery poured her feelings into her guitar and voice, transforming them into a beautiful sound. Tatsuya couldn't help but to sit down as well, smiling. So young, yet she did that so well! For a moment, he thought that he wanted to do that as well, but then remembered that he also had something he was pretty good at.
Enjoying the music, he invited Ryouta to sit down as well. When someone who was sitting looked at a person that wasn't sitting, it could feel intimidating, specially if they were unknowns as themselves. In fact, that was how he had managed Dodomon not to attack him after the battle with Charles: by putting himself at his same level briefly.
Looking at Babydmon he also seemed to be enjoying itself greatly. Unlike Dorimon, it was pouring the girl with compliments in Japanese, which made the Tamer smile: Ave wouldn't understand much, but he was sure she would grasp something from the torrent of words.
-Wow, that's amazing, Ave, I mean it. How long have you been into playing music? Did you learn that back in Italy? -he asked the italian girl out of curiosity.

Her gaze flitted back to the other two boys. The Babydmon was communicating animatedly to his tamer about something. Then Ryouta explained in his broken English that the little in-training dragon thought her music was good. She grinned shyly and muttered "Arigato." She blinked at Tatsuya and where a new Digimon was in the place of Dodomon. So, this must be Dorimon. She had been so caught up in the music that she had not noticed two duo slip away so he could digivolve.
"Sorry, I didn't even notice. I tend to kind of disappear into the music I guess you could say," she said, rubbing at the back of her head sheepishly.
Patch leaped from his perch about A.J. and landed on all fours in front of Tatsuya. "You got bigger!" the rookie exclaimed excitedly, tail wagging playfully.
A.J. sighed. "Patch, he did, but it doesn't mean it's time to play." Patch gave A.J. a dejected look and circled back around to her.
-Wow, that's amazing, Ave, I mean it. How long have you been into playing music? Did you learn that back in Italy? -
A.J's lips pursed together in thought. "Well, really I just kind of started picking up on music when I was younger. I really began to like American rock music. I'm sure you've heard it since you're from the States. My parents got me a guitar and I just kinda started learning....but they paid for some private lessons too. But enough about me, what do you guys like to do?" She asked, azure gaze flicking between the boys.

The baby dragon digimon nodded furiously, happy that he managed to tell the girl his fondness of her music. As Tatsuya offered a seat beside him, Ryouta gratefully took it and sit beside the older boy. Before, Dodomon just evolved into bigger form... so that's how it works...
"Say, Babydmon, can you also do that?" Ryouta inquired curiously.
"N-no, not yet... not to higher stage at least." the little dragon answered truthfully.
"I see, it's OK, you can do it one day!"
Tatsuya asked about something. He only can catch the 'music' and 'Italy', so he assumed that he's asking to the black haired girl about her musical talent. AJ said something about learning it from young age... he's not sure if he got that correctly, but she seem got guitar from young age (?) and learned rock (?). The girl asked both the older teen and him about "what they like to do"... hobbies?
"Errr... I don't have... any sort of hobbies... maybe... what's the word... working out? I... don't really have... much free... times."
Mostly because he's often involved in street fights with bullies and such. It's not a good memories, but quite satsfiying. While the frequency of the fight has decreased, much more than before he got Babydmon, he's just afraid if someone he know (and is somehow on his bad side) somehow appeared and start picking fight with him. That gonna be really ugly.

Tatsuya chuckled as Patch landed in front of him, saying that Dodomon had gotten bigger after digivolving to Dorimon, the latter tilting his head to the side like trying to say "yeah, of course I am bigger!". He extended his arm to pet the Mikemon on the head, but Avery called him back. -Patch, he did, but it doesn't mean it's time to play -she had said. The Tamer then looked at Ave again, trying to convice her otherwise.
-Oh, c'mon Ave, don't be boring! Let Mikemon play with my partner for a while! -he then leaned towards her and lowered his voice so his digimon couldn't hear him- -Besides, it would be great if Patch taught Dorimon how to properly behave, specially with guys stronger than him -he remarked with a childish grin. -Huh? Saiwd something abouwt me? -as always, Dorimon didn't care about what his partner was saying, but he had overheard his name. -Nope, pal, it's nothing.
Then, Avery began telling them that she had started to feel interested in music when she heard American rock music. Ah, that was nostalgic. It had been a while since he had listened to that kind of stuff. She had learned on her own, but was also taught by private teachers. No wonder she was that good, then. Both him and Ryouta were then questioned what did they like to do.
Ryouta said that he didn't have time for hobbies, but he worked out nonetheless. That was great, it was nice being fit. A nice build usually meant higher self-esteem and confidence on teenagers his age, let alone that being strong is always a good thing. -That's good, Ryouta. But I'm surprised that at your age you don't have time for hobbies... then again, I guess I don't know how is to study here.
Well, about myself... I mostly played videogames with my brother, went out with friends... you know the typical things. But since I was eleven, I also started to learn karate in order to learn how to defend myself, due to something that happened to me in the UK. I have to say, it's great, I absolutely love it. Right now I'm a Nidan, but I'll take the Sandan examinations in about a week. That's pretty much about it!
That was his idea of hobbies, but he had little time to focus on them with Dorimon around. The tiny being had completely turned his life upside down, as he was still a baby, and as such he had to take care of him. He decided that he would go to practice again the following day, since he felt a little rusty.
-Yeah, Ryouta, Babydmon can do that a whole lot of times. I think I remember how their power stages went... You've got Fresh, like Dodomon, In-Training, as your partner, and Rookie, as Patch. Then, there goes Champion, Ultimate, Mega, and Super Mega. Which means that he will be able to Digivolve soon. I'm also curious about one thing... Ave, how did Patch digivolve into Rookie? And how did Babydmon evolve into that form? -he asked them. He had the theory that the little Digimons reached higher power levels when they felt strong emotions, such as the need to protect something, although in his case it had been different.

A.J. listened intently as both boys described their past times. Well, Ryouta didn't seem to have any except working out, but she nodded anyways. It seemed that he had put some hard work into his physique since he seemed fit enough. A.J. herself was not much for exercise or anything. She hardly participated in sports or any kind of activities. This didn't mean she was unhealthy, really, she just wasn't a physical kind of person.
Tatsuya named off a few hobbies that seemed normal for his age group. Playing video games, hanging out with friends...
She had played video games a few time, and she would hang out with friends...well, if she had some. But then again, this could be considered hanging out with friends.
When Tatsuya leaned closer, chiding her to let Patch play, she sighed and smiled at the Rookie. "Okay, you can play, but be gentle. He's still a level lower." She didn't say this because Patch was all that strong, but he tended to get a bit rough. She was evidence of this from all the bite marks laced up her arms about two weeks ago when he was adjusting to his Rookie stage. Patch grinned and ran over to the new In-training Dorimon, growling playfully and lowering the front part of his body in a mock pounce position.
"That's kind of cool that you know karate. I don't really know how to fight, and I'm not really good at sports, but I've never really been into them either, so I never really tried," she said with a dismissive shrug.
Soon the conversation turned back to the Digimon at hand. When she was asked how Patch turned into a rookie, she was silent for a moment then replied. "Well, at first he was YukimiBotamon when I found him. I fed him and the next day he was Nyaromon. He was like that for a bit, until we were at a mall and we were attacked by some Gazimon. And then...I don't know. He just changed when one of them came at me. I see Dorimon is able to get to the In-training level, but can he digivolve farther? I don't think Patch can go farther yet, or he just doesn't have the energy...or maybe he just hasn't had the right opportunity...and really, I'm not sure I want him to."

About hobbies, he really can't tell him that he simply have none other than working out because the reason why he do it is kind of his raison d'etre... The younger boy grinned awkwardly at the comment. He's the type that cram it all at the morning before the test, not the night before the test. It's one step closer to NG (No Good) type.
"It's not like I don't have many friends to hang out with or no hobbies overall, but I have three siblings, being the eldest kind of taxing for me, especially when it's about my twin sisters. They're still in elementary school, so that's why..."
Tatsuya then gave explanation of the Digimon stages. So there are still a lot level highers, yet at the same time, Ryouta turned to Patch. He's 'Rookie'?
"Rookie? What will be your form, then, Babydmon?" Ryouta asked his partner. However the small dragon Digimon simply shook its head. So unless they reached it, they won't have any idea, huh? Ryouta listened intently to the older boy's question, then to AJ's answer.
He doesn't catch much of the explanation, only 3/4 at most, but more or less, he understand a bit. Basically, danger. Danger and the correct situation.
"Em.... Babydmon evolved from the... baby I(Fresh) level to the baby II(In-training) after me and my brother and sisters feed him with our... dinner. Half... plate of... four people. No danger, nothing, just food."

Dorimon grinned mischievously as Patch landed next to him on four and Avery let her partner "play" with him. As his tiny legs readied for action, he looked at the cat Digimon directly in the eyes. -Okay then... let's gow! -the In-Training said, running towards the Mikemon. His concept of "playing" with other Digimon meant getting slightly rough with them, although it could be regarded as how lion pups have mock fights with each other. Of course, Tatsuya had no idea of this, and continued the conversation.
-"That's kind of cool that you know karate. I don't really know how to fight, and I'm not really good at sports, but I've never really been into them either, so I never really tried" -Avery told him after she learned that he practiced karate. Tatsuya was surprised that she didn't practice any sport, with her being thin, so he guessed that she had good eating habits. -I'm really not into picking fights with people, but it is good to blow off steam sometimes, it helps me relax -he admitted. The rush of the fighting made all his problems and worries vanish into thin air, although he had almost none.
Afterwards it was his turn to listen to their stories. Avery had found Patch as a YukimiBotamon, which he guessed was its Fresh stage. After feeding him, the digimon turned into Nyaromon. That seemed to coincide with how had Babydmon digivolved as well. However, Nyaromon had digivolved into Mikemon as Avery was in danger, which made him think that he was maybe right about how the creatures grew, but it was most likely to be different in each case.
-Well... In my case it was different. Dorimon hates humans and dislike Digimon, and I was not different. However, we got attacked by an assassin type Digimon named Steamdramon, a Spirit Wielder. Then we made the agreement of fighting together for the time being, and he digivolved to fend off the threat -Tatsuya let a sigh when he finished talking.
He was then questioned if Dorimon could digivolve further than its In-Training stage. -Truth is, we haven't tried, so I don't know -he nonchalantly admitted. Maybe they had to try, but what if he went out of control? He was easier to control as Dodomon or Dorimon, either way.
Avery then said something that struck him as strange. She and Patch seemed to have a nice relationship, yet she wasn't sure she wanted him to Digivolve. -Why would that be? I mean, Dorimon would try to beat everything out if he did digivolve further... -You betchaw -the In-Training said as he attempted to catch Mikemon. -See? That's what I meant. But Patch seems to be very fond of you. Are you... scared of what could happen to him? -at that point he thought it would be rude to ask something like that, but he always said what was in his mind without thinking about it.

A.J. watched with modest interest as Ryouta and Babydmon conversed in Japanese. She caught bits and pieces. Basically, Ryouta wanted to know if his Digimon could go to a higher level, but it didn't seem like he could at the moment. When Ryouta explained that Babydmon had Digivolved to his current for because they had fed him, A.J. nodded. "Yup, just like me and Patch. I didn't really know what he was doing or what he wanted. He was pretty much like a baby, so I just figured he was hungry."
When she turned to listen to Tatsuya's story, her eyes widened. Their coming together was definitely different. A.J. had found Patch as an egg, but it seemed they had just teamed up to fight a common enemy. However, Dodomon was able to digivolve to Dorimon to fight. So that must least mean they were meant to be partners. From what she had heard from more experience tamers, Digimon couldn't really digivolve unless they had the help of a human and the D3.
Patch growled, fangs bared. He wagged his tail that was still in the air and leaped forward in an attempt to tackle Dorimon. Maybe he would land, or maybe the Dorimon would dodge. Even if he did land the tackle, it wouldn't do any damage since he was actually keeping A.J. words in mind and being careful.
A.J frowned thoughtfully. "Really...I guess it's just cause I've watched him change twice and he's been like this the longest. I mean he's been a Mikemon the longest so I guess I'm used to him being a rookie. And I don't see any other reason for him to change, unless he wants to...Plus it's kinda getting hard to hide him since he's gotten bigger." Her azure gaze shifted fondly to the Rookie who was pouncing. Looking back at Tatsuya, she smiled."I'm sure he probably could if he needed to."

Watching the two playing around like that, Babydmon seem kind of a bit lonely. However, as much as that scene made him sad with envy, he knows he's not up for that kind of play. He's the more timid type, and therefore, that kind of action is out of his preference. Fighting is not good, yet from Ryouta's little brother's story, he's the type that get into fight regularly... Tetsuya, too, despite he said he's not the type that would go pick bones with other people, he's seem to really love fighting.
"...I wonder what's the fun in it?" the in-training asked out loud, right after Tetsuya expressed his liking of combat. The baby dragon flushed and cover his mouth with his wispy tails and proceed to bow repeatedly to Dorimon's Tamer. What is he thinking? Asking like that is really rude!
"Can't answer that, but I don't get into fights for fun," Ryouta suddenly answered. Babydmon is not sure is that merely a cover up, or the boy is actually serious...
"Eh, that aside... Ahem... Um... if you... meet my friends... um... I think.. it's... good... to show you... their looks... first."
Ryouta took out his cellphone and quickly displayed group of six teenagers around his age, him included.
"These two... are Tamers." Ryouta pointed at the two in particular, one a smiling girl that looks racially mixed, half white and half asian, sitting on the front while making double peace sign, and another, a boy, smiling awkwardly at the camera.
"Takamiya Karin, she... taught me English." he pointed at the blond haired Japanese. The girl is wearing mismatched black-cat-head bandanna and girlish white clothes.
"Itou Yuuki. This one... is the one with Dorimon." He pointed at the brown haired guy who's a little bit shorter than him, wearing blue sleeveless hoodie.

As Tatsuya expressed how fond he was of karate fighting, he was immediately questioned "why" by the Babydmon. -."..I wonder what's the fun in it?" It seems that Ryouta wasn't lying when he said he was timid, as it quickly covered itself with its tail and began apologizing, it's "cheeks" red. Tatsuya laughed, and petted the Babydmon in return. -Relax, relax, I'm not going to get mad or anything. I'm pretty straightforward myself, so I understand. Well, the reason is that I find it as a means of escape from my daily life, where I would be traveling with my parents without enough time to make any lasting friendship. Already told that story, though -the brown haired teen answered, trying to put the In-Training at ease.
As he did that, he then listened to Avery's answer to his previous question. -"Really...I guess it's just cause I've watched him change twice and he's been like this the longest. I mean he's been a Mikemon the longest so I guess I'm used to him being a rookie. And I don't see any other reason for him to change, unless he wants to...Plus it's kinda getting hard to hide him since he's gotten bigger" -she had said. So she did not want him to change anymore without reason. That was a fine argument, in Tatsuya's opinion. If you are used to something, and it's good, why changing it? It made no sense.
When Ryouta showed them the pictures of other Tamers, Tatsuya took special interest in the one that also had a Dorimon. So his name was Itou Yuuki, huh. He smiled to himself. Would his Dorimon have the same personality or would they be different, even though they were from the same species? That was something he wanted to see. He was just about to call his Dorimon to see the picture, but he then saw that it was focused on Patch.
As the Digimon pounced towards Tatsuya's partner, the Tamer gave him a smile while nodding, and Dorimon grinned. He had permission to play, as well. As Patch was flying towards him, the In-Training met his attack with a tackle of his own, using his furry, yet hard flat snout for the attack. Propelling himself towards the air with his little paws, he prepared to collide with Patch. The cat like digimon wouldn't be able to easily dodge him, since it was about to hit him.
