"All good. Sorry for the sour reaction." An apology for an apology seemed a fair trade--and quite honestly? Horus wasn't even expecting one, so that sort of caught him off guard a little. Not for long, either way. They had a job to do, after all. "Well, ninjas are sort of the people you'd expect to be in disguise either way, so maybe if we just fake it enough..."
Shi did have a point. That's what Roche was getting at. Gihai and the Gammamon looked over themap with the group, and... "I feel like going with the notion of this might being a feint. Keep the clothes on hand, we should get moving. If we have flashlights, bring them too but keep them on a low brightness. I'm not gonna jinx us by claiming they have ninjas in those tunnels but if they do, uh...Shoot." The Guilmon felt like she was at least prepared, but...
"Ready whenever you guys are." She wasn't going alone.

Hooray! Everyone had made up and became the bestest of best friends! A certain pink-haired idiot would love this, but that person wasn't here so this out of character comment would have to do for the time being. Regardless, it would be weird for everyone to linger on like this. Sure, they would be leaving two unconscious children out in the open, as well as a man that was inside of a vending machine, but they had a mission to accomplish!
That said, there was a small issue that wasn't accounted for. Sure, they had stereotypical ninja uniforms, that would hopefully manage to help them fit in a hidden village, the likes of which Mona had no way of knowing what kind of fashion or culture that these Digimon had, if any (Digimon do tend to enjoy their birthday suits, after all), but anyone who put on those outfits would be completely soaked once they passed through the waterfall to get into the caves within. Not necessarily a big deal, but it would suck for everyone to get a cold!
Other than that, there wasn't much to do but pick a direction to go. Nothing seemed to point towards one direction or the other. If their super-detailed, trustworthy map could be trusted, the left-most path went on for a good while and didn't seem to have any foreseeable issues, the middle path had a spike pit or some other kind of booby trap, and the right-most path was apparently a dead-end. The group could split up, forcing me to have to rp through up to four different scenarios, which would just be wonderful, or they could stick together and decide on a direction together! Whether that's done in a discord chat or in-character, that would be up to the players!

Kshin glanced once more at the map before looking over at Horus as he said "I think our actions were not so pleasant both ways but I didn't help matters by upsetting you more." Kshin then walked over to Shi holding up the map as if offering it to the strangely not all that emotional human. Shi was beginning to remind the young dragon of Mona so apparently this behavior wasn't all that unheard of. "Maybe you should hold onto the map since you seem to be older than myself mentally. As for faking the ninja thing I might be able to seeing as my older brother is a ninja himself. Maybe if I just do what I've seen him do it should be alright." Kshin said catching the sight of Grace snickering.
Asking what was on her mind wasn't necessary though as the young Gammamon said "Talk about a case of monkey see monkey do. Let's hope you don't lose your focus with the act."
"We can all pretend to be ninja's from different clans. As for what to do from there, I'm not sure." Kshin said as he glanced at the unconscious pair having a feeling that they should be okay as long as they stayed behind the waterfall before he, Grace, and Mona made their way outside the waterfall yet somehow Mona's work had remained dry.
Still working away she said "The ninja outfits should be done by the time we reach the jungle. Then we can put them on there."

Well the Guilmon seemed to agree with Shi that it might be a feint, also it just dawned on the teenager that the Guilmon was green. Was that normal? He was pretty sure they were normally red but maybe the one red one he encountered was the weird one and this was the normal color. Eh too confusing best just toss it outta his head. Though he managed to come back into the conversation to hear something about flashlights. "Oh, I have that covered." Shi mentioned reaching into his pocket and pulling out his digivice, with the hit of a button a baton came out from the top emitting a dim light. "Can't get much brighter than this but like you said probably better with a lower brightness anyway."
Shi threw the digivice back in his pocket before holding his other hand out, manipulating data around him using the weird Ki arts thing he bought before and making a small orange orb appear above his hand, glowing a bit brighter than the baton had. "I also have this, some guy in Terminus showed me how for some bits. Can't do much but it is another light source." As Shi let the orb fade away Kshin walked up to him with the map offering it to the teen. "Sure, pretty sure I'm the only one here with pockets so might as well." Shi said nonchalantly as he quickly pulled out his infinite storage cube, putting the map in before making it as flat as a card and sliding it into his back pocket.
Skipping ahead from the walking towards the good part Yuudai jumped through the waterfall into the cave like a bat outta hell, splashing around like a madman before reaching out and dragging his brother in as well towards the caves. "Nothing like a splash of cold water to get ya pumped!" meanwhile Shi just walked through the best he could, the EV suit kept him from being too messed up by it, but it still mostly sucked.
Now was the fun part of deciding what to do and which path to go, there was three groups and three paths so it felt like a no brainer, but they already thought about that middle path being a feint. After all if those two managed to not get done in by that trap it obviously wasn't there to keep anything too strong out.
"So, should we go down them one at a time or split up? Might be best to play this safe but I don't know how much time we have for all this." Yasuo's mind was set on playing it safe, his brother? The opposite so no help there.
"Well if we do split it'd probably be best to check out the left and right path first, save getting impaled for a later time. I do have these though." Shi reached back and pulled two things out of his infinite storage cube, a small ear accessory with a mouthpiece and another accessory that looked very adjustable for many different ears. "It's a comm device, the small one is adjusted to a human ear but pretty sure this one can fit on any. Should be able to communicate what we find." Jeez Shi had a lot of stuff on hand huh?

"Remaining together might be the best solution here--Now, call this a weird hunch but I'd likely have eyes on the ways to my village if I were a ninja, so..." Gihai lowered her voice, "They might be hearing us." There's no real guarantee of this. But it's still very possible. And Gihai was a bit of a worrywart when she could help it.
The waterfall aside, they had a pretty good thing going so far in that...nothing's happened. "I vote left." Roche spoke, quite plainly. "...It might be best to begin with the leftmost passage, yes." Horus shrugged.
Gihai meanwhile just started down the path just to peek down it. "If the map's accurate then going left's the most straightforward route we've got! Well, and the right path. I'll take the comm device if need be, too!"

Since it was mostly agreed upon to take the leftmost path, that's just going to be where the group will be heading. Otherwise I'll have literally nothing to post about, which would be a shame. Regardless, as the group took the leftmost path, which seemed to be the safest, they would progress with no issues. As the group headed further in, there didn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary... at first. Thanks to everyone's light sources, the cavern walls, while unremarkable, were remarkably consistent. In fact, it seemed like despite walking forward for several minutes, the walls didn't even seem to change in the slightest! One could naturally surmise that there was something preventing them from moving ahead, no matter how far they walked! Could it be... that the group had been trapped by an enemy's genjutsu, and forced to travel through an endless hallway? Thankfully... no. The moment someone decided to stop walking, or someone who could move without walking on the ground moved ahead, the answer would be obvious. The floor itself was moving backwards, much like those horizontal escalator things I know exists but never bothered to learn the name of, which google apparently tells me is something called a "travelator". It would seem like progressing would be bit of a hassle, but easily obtainable. However, shining a light upon the ceiling above would reveal a message that neither of Shiroku's incompetent buffoons ever knew about. One must not trust the floor beneath, the walls around, or the message ahead. One must only trust in their training, for it is only after trusting in one's self can one truly see what is beyond.
Akiharunijiranmaru of the Autumn Breeze So... yeah. That was what was going down. It's up to the group to decide to continue down this path, or possibly see what the other paths have in store for you.

Looks like most of the group were wanting to take the left path which caused Kshin to nod before he said "Yeah I agree. Perhaps it would be best for us to stick together since we don't know what we'll find in here. However whoever doesn't agree doesn't have to feel as if they are forced into anything." Kshin's words were spoken in a calm reassuring way as it would be obvious he was not trying to cause in fighting in the group itself.
"At least someone in this group have a communicator. Hey Kshin, maybe one day we should think about getting such a setup." Grace said with her tone full of pep as if the dark cave wasn't bothering the young Gammamon.
Kshin, Grace, and Mona didn't notice anything out of the ordinary at least at first anyway. The light sources weren't the only advantage they had as Mona's ears flipped up as if picking something up before she said "Does anyone else notice that the walls are not changing. Not only that I am hearing some faint noises that weren't here before." Mona came to a stop and looked at the floor the fashonista's face scrunched as she put her things away to get past this obstacle as she began being moved backwards. The Terriermon Assistant began glowing as she said "Terriermon Assistant digivolve to....Angoramon!" When the glowing ceased she was now a large fluffly angora rabbit. Bracing herself her ears went stiff before she then said "Propelled Flight!" Her large ears then began twirling like a propeller before she took flight. As she moved towards the group she grabbed Kshin with one hand while holding out her other arm to snatch as many non fliers as she could. Meanwhile Kshin clutched Mona's thick fur so she would have an extra arm free. As for Grace her black wings extended from her back taking flight. Sure it was low altitude flight but it was enough for the job.
OOC: Mona digivolves to champion before taking flight using her Propelled Flight. Propelled Flight: Twirls her ears as fast as a propeller which allows her to fly even while carrying passengers.(Non Combat Passive)

Welp seemed like the left path was the one everyone decided on so thankfully Shi could ignore getting possibly impaled for another time, though Gihai did raise a good point. It would be hard for the teen to believe that a village like this wouldn't have at least someone watching their entrance like a hawk. "Suppose I doubted we'd obtain the element of surprise on a buncha ninja's anyway Best be ready just in case. Never hurts to be too cautious after all." Hence the whole picking the path that didn't have spikes that would most likely leave the group in a not well possition.
Seems Gihai offered to take the comm device, so with no one else to hand it to Shi decided to toss it over to her. "Just hold the button on the side and it'll automatically connect to mine." Never hurts to be careful as Shi had just said, still he did press the button on his own, the device lit up and it was pretty clear the two of them were working at the very least.
So with his baton in the air Shi and the twins started down the path, and they kept going and going, this was definitely a large path like the map had said. So long in fact that Shi had to stop for a second to adjust his shoes, which made it really clear as he slid backwards away from Yuudai and Yasuo that something was up.
"Wah! Shi!" Yuudai rushed back picking the tamer up, much to his slight annoyance before running back against the strange path till he got back over to everyone. "Alright, if that's how it's gonna be! Full charge here we go!" Yuudai called out as he started to attempt to brute force the path, moving at quite an alarming speed despite the teenager he was carrying.
"Er, hold up a sec. Maybe we shouldn't rush down this path by flying? We don't know what's past this area." Yasuo mentioned to hopefully air on the side of caution rather than going down a path that clearly was made to not be gone down?
"If it's for a ninja village then maybe there's some special way we're supposed to go past?" It was a bit weird, however despite Shi not having the idea to look up. His baton was still lighting up the room and thus since he was closer to the top it was lighting up the ceiling as well with the message. Hopefully someone else saw that though because Shi couldn't see anything while bouncing up and down sitting on top of an Agumon who was trying to beat the land speed record.

So, if this was to be believed, then trusting the surroundings around them was an obvious trap. Or, just the plain incorrect way of dealing with something. Gihai pressed the button and synced the comm device with Shi's, with a nod.
"There might be a point to that message..." Gihai mused, while Roche simply closed his eyes, and decided to trust in his own instincts like how Yuudai was. "I'm going to assume this might be some sorta sensory jutsu, but if this doesn't yield anything...We could probably go back." Probably. Horus was...just standing at the beginning of the path.
Really, he wasn't sure why he was entertaining this. But. Shut eyes. And proceeding down.
Seems like everyone was taking the route of being bullheaded, really.

Some managed to fly, others managed to simply run through it, but one way or another, the group managed to make progress. Though the more observant folk may notice that walls along the tunnel seemed to smooth out a bit as if they're frequently treaded upon. Perhaps if one used their ninja training to run along the walls instead of the floor, they wouldn't have to worry about exhausting themselves just trying to get through running on the moving floor. But regardless of what they did, the group would eventually find themselves at the end of the tunnel, and open up into a sightly more spacious cavern that was lit up by several torches that seemed to burn on their own. And thanks to the lighting, it was obvious to see the clearly out-of-place leaves scattered all over the floor. The leaves were in their autumn colors, many red, orange, and yellow leaves, all looking like they'd freshly fallen. Trying to move them around would eventually reveal another message on the floor, as well as three deep holes in the ground. Each hole had a different ring of paint around the edge, one yellow, one orange, and one red. All three seemed to go on for quite a while, and all light and sound would fall endlessly into the darkness. Gather the leaves into the single correct pit, and trust them to shield you from the endless abyss. For it is only by trusting in others can one truly find the path ahead
Akiharunijiranmaru of the Autumn Breeze So it seems like what to do next was obvious. Who knew finding a hidden ninja village would be so easy!

Some how the group made their way through though as Mona flew she made a passing glance at the walls noticing that the tunnel had smoothed out a bit. So the tunnel walls were frequently treaded upon. The fashionista figured it made sense given some ninjas either ran along or lept from wall to wall. The older bunny now felt stupid for not realizing this before but would be more mindful from this point on.
Soon the group made it to the room with leaves scattered all over the floor and Mona landed placing Kshin on the ground Grace landing nearby. Mona analyzed the room while Kshin's hammer tail softly swished stirring up some of the leaves causing Akiharunijiranmaru of the Autumn Breeze's message to begin to appear. "Hey what's this?" Kshin asked catching sight of the letters using his tail to uncover the message. "Hey guys. It looks like Akiharunijiranmaru of the Autumn Breeze has left another message." He read the message out loud to the group before staring at the leaves and holes with painted edges. "Something seems weird to me though. After that last room there is no way this one is as obvious as it seems."
"Akiharunijiranmaru of the Autumn Breeze? Are such long names common for ninja? Seems a bit needlessly long winded." Grace said in response to Kshin's words.
"It is likely that such a name is more of a formal title, Darling. I wouldn't be surprised if the digimon of this village also use nicknames." Mona said as she was focused on looking around the room before focusing back on the leaves and holes on the floor.
"Still if we go with the route of pretending to be ninjas, wouldn't we also need such titles too?" Grace asked indeed bringing up a very good question.

Boy Yuudai could run, that was the only thing occurring to Shi as he was being carried by his partner through the path. Head down Yuudai was in a full tilt sprint towards the end of the hall. Disregarding anything his brother could be saying about the situation. Still not wanting to leave him out of the situation given Yasuo didn't seem to be as fast, well he was as fast just not as determined as Yuudai Shi wanted to give him a chance to get up as well.
Only to watch as the smarter of the twins suddenly passed by Yuudai, using his claws and feet to dig into the side of the wall and move about that way instead of going towards the obviously not wanting them to go path that his brother was going. Even making it to the other side before Yuudai managed to make one final leap and get to the end. "How, Was, That. Stupid, Floor." Yuudai said while noticeably out of breath as he slowly stood back up, doing his best to shake his tiredness off.
"Yuudai, you should've waited till we figured it out. We might not be able to afford to waste energy like that." Yasuo scolded, thanks to Shi's bouncing light he was able to see the sides of the path were a lot easier to move around, makes sense now that Shi thought about it, wall running was a thing that Ninja's tended to do.
"Regardless we all seem to of made it through, through grit or tactics. Doesn't matter how if the end result's the same." That's just kinda how Yuudai was, he didn't seem that beat up about it either.
Now it was time for the next message, which his associates seemed to be confused by the longer name. "Akiharunijiranmaru..." That was quite the mouthful as Shi repeated it, though looking closer the entire thing wasn't anything he recognized but separately. "Aki can sometimes mean Autumn. Haru means spring, Niji is Rainbow and Ran and Maru mean Orchid and Circle." Shi scratched the side of his head for a moment with his eyes closed. "Though I guess that begs the question of why is their name just a buncha human name's bunched up." Might not be important, might be very important. Either way reaching into his pocket Shi jotted that down really quick, though he did circle Ran and Maru since that could be combined as well for a whole different name.
"Seems pretty obvious to me, throw them in and jump on down." Wehn Yuudai put it like that it seemed to obvious but he was quickly shot down by his brother.
"Only problem is deciding which one is the correct pit, I don't wanna imagine what'll happen if we pick the wrong one." Yasuo said while circling around the pits, trying to see if there's any noticeable differences between them aside from color.
Meanwhile Shi was checking around the room holding his baton around, he figured he'd look around a bit while waiting to hear everyone's thoughts on what to do next, Yuudai was investigating the leaves. No he wasn't playing with them don't even think about that.

Well, that was a nice walk on a treadmill for Gihai and Co. So, they made progress and inevitably ran into another puzzle from Akiharunijiranmaru of the Autumn Breeze. What a fucking pretentious name. "...So it's a matter of putting the leaves in the correct pit and trusting whatever comes next..." Gihai noted, before she started to set about picking the leaves up and sorting them by color.
While she was at that, Roche was peering at the leaves. What qualities did they hold? What qualities did the holes hold? "Trusting them to shield us...must mean there's a device somewhere. But, we should probably listen to the guy's words, first and foremost." The Gammamon noted.

It seemed like there were some people who were on to something, as well figuring out what the fucking pretentious-named ninja guy's name meant. And Kshin's suspicions of the task being too easy may have some merit. After all, as everyone may remember the first message made by Akiharunijiranmaru of the Autumn Breeze, posted several months ago so clearly it's fresh in everyone's memory. And figuring out why this guy's name was so long might be something to figure out later on.
As far as anyone who was investigating, or simply not-playing with the leaves, they would find that these leaves were either freshly fallen, or just incredibly convincing synthetic leaves. The leaves had ever-so-faint bit of moisture that prevented them from drying up and withering away. Even closer investigation revealed faint grooves into several of the leaves, as if they were pieces of a letter that would have to be put together to make a message. But I'm sure that wouldn't be a thing.
Investigations into the pits looked to give even less information, however. The walls on the side looked like they were made from some kind of smooth stone and looked impossible to climb. The holes themselves weren't very wide. Your average-sized Champion would probably be a tight fit for them. And they went far down enough that most Digimon small enough to fit in the holes was going to take a lot of damage if they fell and hit the bottom. And even for the Digimon that could fly down to the bottom with some form of light, all that they would meet at the end was a stone floor with no visible markings. It seemed like they were just... really deep pits.

"Autumn, Spring, Rainbow, Orchid, and Circle.....? All those names separately would sound nice but jumbled together seems to be a nonsensical mess so why would someone jumble up these seemingly random words together?" Grace asked the Gammamon seeming lost as she looked to Kshin who only shrugged so it was clear the Gumdramon was just as lost as she was.
Kshin looked over at Shi who appeared to be writing and asked "Hey, Shi. What are you doing? Are you taking notes or something?"
As for Mona it seemed she didn't need to say anything to Yuudai as Yasuo seemed to convince his twin to not act so impulsively. Meanwhile Shi seemed to be investigating the room.
When Roche mentioned a device Kshin looked at her before he said "You think so? If there is a device it must be around here somewhere." He also took notice that Gihai was sorting the leaves by color so Kshin began taking a look at the leaves himself his tail brushing against a few of them. It was then the young dragon became aware of how the leaves felt freshly fallen which seemed odd so he silently picked up one of the leaves to take a closer look at them before feeling the moisture first before something curious was felt. Looking closer at the leaf Kshin noticed the faint grooves in the leaf and said "Hey guys! There are some grooves in this leaf! Maybe other leaves have them and it might lead to more information."
Mona smiled at Kshin for not resorting to just jumping without thinking like she did earlier. Unlike with the last room what if one wrong move would result in disaster?
