Screaming rang through the streets of the tropical metropolis, the yellow sun beating down onto the white tile of the beach side walkways sending a sweltering heat through the air as people fled from the beach side marketplace, leaving stalls unattended and knocked over, merchandise strewn about the ground and collecting sand with the blowing of the wind.
"Yes! Brothers! Destroy it, destroy it all! This is our seashore, all who wish to live on our sands and with the view of our waves will give proper tribute to their lords!" Shouted one of the scuttling Ganimon as it brought down a huge silver blade upon a handmade stall selling tie-dye shirts, crashing through it with a single motion. Two more of the steel blue-grey crabs thrashed about on the street overlooking the beaches, equally large blades crashing through the livelihoods of fleeing Digimon as they ran and squealed for their lives. The crab digimon were bigger than normal for their species, hulking shells about the size of a small car rather than the Rookie level sized bodies as normal, the cruel crustaceans stunted even in their evolutions to Champion by their wicked and ruthless ways until they only grew bigger, not into any of the more impressive forms of their species, like their minds were so small they could only think to grow stronger, wilder, and not actually beyond what they already were.
"Hey, crab legs!" A voice from above shouted and the crabs all looked up, Zack was standing there, the gleaming of the summer sun rolling along the edge of his golden helm with a rim of light. He leapt from his perch on the eve of a building, front flipping in mid air and landing with both fee ton a striped, brightly colored awning, bouncing back into the air with another flip to land, shoulders squared, on his heavy booted feet only a short distance from the crabs. "Don't you know that kicking sand is a major party foul?" He said, rolling his shoulders and neck, flexing and unflexing his gloved hands, making the bronze colored gloves creak.
"Human! Our strength of the sea gives us right to this beach and all of its bounties, we claim our right to rule in the name of-" The front Ganimon began to gloat, not noticing something casting a heavy insectoid shadow overhead with the buzzing of gossamer wings.
"OH I get it!...you're the Stab Crabs!" Zack said, his banter seeming to take the wind right out of the head honcho's sails, the crab stumbling in place at the immediate disrespect. "Hit em hard and fast, babygirl." Zack said, as if to no one in particular only for the shadow cast on top of the head Ganimon's shell to grow larger and larger until a JewelBeemon finally came into view, slamming down with both feet and kicking up a huge storm of sand and dust that would send almost a geyser of the tawny grains up into the air.

It was a normal day for Luneth the Hackmon and Arlo the Angoramon, at first. They had arrived in Whitewater with their mobile bakery and had set up shop in the beach side marketplace, and business was going pretty good for them at the start. Then that's when they heard the screaming, followed by a bunch of Digimon fleeing from something in the marketplace. "What in the world is going on down there...?"
It didn't take long for Luneth and Arlo to see what was going on. Three bigger-than-average Ganimon, each with equally large blades, swinging them at the stalls and at other Digimon as they were fleeing for their lives. Luneth was starting to see red; these Ganimon were destroying public property and endangering the lives of other Digimon all for seemingly selfish reasons! "Arlo, get the bakery out of here, I shall deal with the bladed seafood." "Luneth, wait-" "I'll be fine! Just go!" Arlo hesitated momentarily before nodding in agreement, going back into the bakery and transforming it into a vehicle before driving away, leaving Luneth behind. The Hackmon was about to go join in the fight himself, but then someone beat him to it: literally flipping into the battle was a human wearing a bright yellow and black superhero outfit, seemingly all alone. Luneth was very confused by this sudden turn of events. "What...?" The leader Ganimon began to gloat about claiming their "right to rule" (with the human giving quite a humorous nickname to the gang, the "Stab Crabs") when another Digimon joined the party, a JewelBeemon that was seemingly partnered with the human. While it didn't explain the whole superhero costume thing to the Hackmon, it relieved him somewhat to know that he was at least a Tamer. Still though, that didn't mean Luneth couldn't step in to help out! "Hackmon Super Evolution! SaviorHackmon!" The now Ultimate level Digimon would fly into battle as well, making a similarly powerful entrance as the JewelBeemon had. "The Stab Crabs, huh?" Luneth asked, glancing over at Zack. "A fitting name for low-life's such as them. Mind if I join in?" He would then pop out the red blades from both of his forearms, intending to use them on the aforementioned "Stab Crabs" regardless of if Zack said no or not.

Zack turned to see a shadow cresting through the upturned waves of sand that were crashing along the entire length of the sidewalk, seeing the SaviorHackmon come into view as if forming out of the sand. The Ganimon didn't seem to be waiting to get caught off guard a second time, even as Marigold shook their "leader" off of the bottom of her feet like she was trying to get rid of something unpleasant she had stepped in.
"What? You wanna pitch in on this old turkey shoot? Hey, the more the merrier I always say." Zack said with a shrug as one of the crabs scuttled forward and slashed downward at the human in the insectoid helmet. Zack dropped into a forward roll that kept him just out of the line when the blade itself came down and bisected a huge chunk of the pavement he had been standing on. "Hell, seems like they're a trio. We might as well have enough dance partners for them. We wouldn't want anybody feeling left out now would we?" he said, kicking off the ground into a backflip that landed him right on top of the Ganimon's head who had tried to chop him like a log. The crab scuttled in place, turning in a circle as its claws tried to poke and prod at the human that was running across its skullcap, swatting and smacking at its own head in a way that only really hurt it as Zack dodged and sidestepped every swing.
"Spike Buster!" Marigold slammed the head of her spear down in a chopping arc, a shockwave rattling along the ground as if her slash had carried on past the tip of her weapon, driving into the Ganimon she was aiming at and flipping it end over end like a coin through the air until it landed hard against a few rocks that were piled up on the edge of the tide line. "Seconded. If these seafood platters want to dance, I don't see why we can't make it an open community affair." She said, twirling her weapon in one hand as she bolted forward, buzzing toward her own "dance partner" to not give it a chance to recover.
"Insolent land dwellers! We'll carve you all!" Said the final crustacean as he turned to face Luneth, swiping wildly at the air as if he was trying to make a wall of slashes between him and the new combatant.

When the human said that Luneth could "pitch in" for this fight, he wasn't expecting him to actually try to take on the Ganimons himself. The SaviorHackmon watched incredulously as the human rolled out of the way of a slash attack and jumped up, back-flipping and landing right on the Ganimon's head. He was very confused why the human was fighting and very concerned that the human was fighting.
It got even weirder from there. He and his Stingmon partner both suggested that they each take on one Ganimon at a time. It was here that Luneth felt like he had to put his foot down, to prevent this clearly mentally insane human with a death wish from harming himself. "Erm, sir, I really do think that-"
Luneth didn't get the chance to finish his thought as the final Ganimon came charging at him, swinging his blade wildly at the SaviorHackmon. Of course Luneth was able to counter all those slashes with blocks from his own wrist blades, at this point he was fully involved with his sword fight against this last Stab Crab. "We shall see who will be carving who, you fiend! Trident Saber!" Luneth would then begin to furiously slash at the Ganimon with his arm swords and his tail sword. This Ganimon better hope they can keep up, or else one of those blades is gonna REALLY hurt in the morning! Luneth uses "Trident Saber" on Ganimon #3.

The Ganimon very specifically was NOT able to properly keep up with Luneth, trying to hold up its blade against the onslaught of red energy and blocking maybe two of the shots if he was lucky. Like any other low class gangster or bully, the Ganimon's plans had relied on violence and people being too scared to actually step up to them. None of them were that skilled and seemed totally unprepared for any kind of confrontation aimed at them.
"If you were about to say something about it being stupid and dangerous for me to be confronting the digimon myself? I'd pretty much advise you to just save your breath. Nobody's convinced me yet." Zack said as he leapt from the top of the Ganimon's shell onto the top of one of the carts, a garden supply cart it seemed from the large stacks of flowerpots that were piled on the roof of the cart and one particular implement, a rake. "OooOOOooo~ Marigold, remind me to pay for this when we're done." He said as he front flipped off the roof of the stall cart and landed behind the crab, who swiftly spun around to try and face Zack only to end up with a face full of rake swung hard enough that Zack actually managed to break it over his opponent's face.
"Oh sure, I'll just make a note right here." Marigold said sarcastically as her opponent recovered and rushed her only to get grabbed by the front of its flat body and winged with all the force Marigold had like a frisbee into a brick floodwall up near the edge of the beach.

Luneth had to say, he was ultimately unimpressed by this Ganimon's skill level. Sure, Luneth was a level higher, but that was because he was expecting to take on multiple at once, not just a single delinquent stab-crab. The look on his face was clear as day to the Ganimon he was fighting that the SaviorHackmon was getting bored. "You are clearly unskilled at combat, and I do not believe you should hold onto that knife."
Zack seemed to be able to guess exactly what Luneth was about to say to him, implying that this wasn't the first time someone told him off for doing something stupidly reckless... which implies that this wasn't the first time he did something stupidly reckless. "I see... then it appears I shall have to convince you some other way!"
Zack in particular then seemed to accidentally ruin some poor Digimon's flower cart during the fight, making a quip about paying for it later before getting back into the action. Luneth had a look of pure confusion as he watched Zack fight... just what was this human trying to do? Be some kind of superhero?
Whatever, it appeared that this would have to be wrapped up quick. Since Ganimon wasn't very skilled, it wouldn't be difficult to find an opening, to which Luneth would slash at the stab-crab's stabby stabber and slash it out of the Ganimon's claws, before pointing his own red wrist-blade right at them. "Checkmate."

Zack was relentless, taking the broken and splintered rod that had once been a rake and bashing it over the villain's face a second time, breaking it again over the face of his crustacean opponent. He hoisted it up a third time, and again he broke what little remained of the stick over Ganimon's face until Zack was basically holding little more than what could fit in his hand.
There WAS a method to his madness though, eventually getting the Ganimon to flinch just enough that his grip on his shimmering knife loosened. Zack leapt literally into action, front flipping off of the Ganimon's back and reaching out with both hands to snatch the blade out of his grip until Zack was standing in front of him holding the weapon.
"Eh, you know what? it looked better in the window. I just don't think it matches my shoes and the style is SO last season. YEET!" He said, putting on a faked valley girl accent before pivoting on the balls of his feet and pitching the blade with one hand out into the ocean.
Now the trio were disarmed, battered and thoroughly humiliated as they got up and scuttled as far away from their opponents as they could get...but they weren't running, not really.
"The boss will take care of them!" They all chittered to one another as they huddled up together in what remaining state they still were able to bunch up and close ranks.
"Now THAT is just not something you wanna hear..." The surface of the sparkling water broke behind them to reveal a MASSIVE Ebiramon the length and width of two city buses with blades the size of refrigerators clutched in its claws. "See? Like I said, just not what you wanna hear." Marigold said glibly as they observed the gangster boss scuttling up onto the beach toward them with violence in his eyes.

Luneth couldn't help but watch Zack fight once the SaviorHackmon had his own Ganimon opponent taken care of. He was, of course, concerned about a human fighting against a Champion level Digimon like this, where he was sure to be outmatched. And this was what Luneth originally thought as the rake Zack was using continued to break with every swing, doing nothing than just making the Ganimon flinch a little bit. What in homeostasis is he doing? Then it all clicked. Zack wasn't trying to overpower Ganimon at all; he was trying to get the Digimon to drop his knife! And he succeeded too, managing to grab the Ganimon's blade and toss it into the ocean, now leaving two Ganimons unarmed. Luneth smirked. That human's positively insane, but he knows what he's doing... maybe I should trust him a tad bit more. Now with the three Ganimons defeated by Luneth, Zack and Marigold. what was their response? Well, that was simple... they'd run away. Luneth crossed his arms, watching the former stab crabs scuttle away from their betters. At least, until one of them claimed that the boss would take care of them. "This cannot end well," Luneth said in response to Marigold commenting on how that wasn't what someone would want to here. Some time passed before an Ebidramon burst out from the water, holding two giant blades in its claws. "Homeostasis..." "Landlizer!" "Arlo?! What are you doing here?" "Well surely you didn't expect me to sit back once I got the bakery to safety, did you?" the SymbareAngoramon asked, not looking or sounding even the lightest bit worried that he had just attacked a giant crab that could easily turn him into rabbit filet at any moment. "It appears to me that I arrived at just the right moment."

"That uh...that "homeostasis" thing that's like...your catchphrase? Your "Great Caesar's ghost!"? That's cool, I should get me one of those." Zack said in the moment before the massive lobster threw himself up on the shore, thrashing about with blades that could turn a tank into sliced bread with a single swing. "An evil lobster? Man, on top of just being jerks now these guys are trying to make me home sick!" Zack said, rolling clear of one of the downward slashes of the beast before it made a massive groove in the spot where he had been standing that would have split Zack like a tree stump.
"Ooo, very nice entrance my friend. I give it two thumbs up. I love the gloves by the way. I'd love to get some of my own but you know, claws. Doesn't do wonders for fashionable leather handwear I'm afraid." Marigold gave out and exaggerated sign before one of the huge claws of the red beast, now thrashing out in anger from the strike across its nose, nearly came down on her. She lifted up her arms and crossed them in front of her face to stop the monster's downward strike in its tracks, sending up a blast of sand around her feet as she skidded backwards some with the impact but managed to hold one of the beast's claws in place.
"Something tells me calling the boss was not the original plan. We've got them more or less cornered, they're lashing out just to avoid losing. That makes them dangerously unpredictable." Zack said to Luneth before he charged off toward the fray. Even if he knew it was dangerous he couldn't just stand still and let Marigold handle it as much as she wished he might. it simply wasn't in his nature to ask other people to do something dangerous that he wouldn't happily do himself. "When in doubt..." Zack bent over in the middle of a stride, picking up a rock from the sand and pausing just long enough to toss it hard overhand, arcing through the air until it bounced off the surface of one of the Ebiramon's eyes. It wouldn't hurt the beast, but the object flying right toward its open eye would make it flinch. Some physical reactions are near universal.
