Lilly, in her recently acquired holosuit, was walking the streets of the Entertainment District looking at the sights around her. The world was much smaller to her then it was only a short time ago given her recent digivolution. As she made her way along she was looking for some way to entertain herself before the sight of a sign caught her attention. Trotting over to the sign she read it finding out it was someplace nearby looking for a magician. Her eyes lit up as she thought this would be a fun way to pass the time. Sure she wasn't as experienced in magic as her Wizardmon father, Mandrake. Maybe her natural magic could be useful at least as an opening. As she headed to the address of the location the sign mentioned she thought of the first thing she did after setting off on her own. The first thing she did was practice her new moves in an isolated area and only one of them were unnamed despite it being very beautiful in her opinion.
Later when she arrived at the location asking about the magician gig and the person hired her cause she not only had the look but the energy they had been looking for. She showed some simple tricks insuring the person that she'd save her better tricks for the show. Learning it was starting in the early evening she smiled and wandered off to look around some more.
When she came back later she headed for behind the stage curtain where there was no one nestled in a corner out of sight with her holosuit deactivated. Planning to use a much weaker version of her unnamed attack to serve as a pyrotechnic effect she waited for her cue as the people began to arrive. She was shaking with excitement as this was going to be fun.

Ollie sighed, looking around at the lights and sounds of the streets, the sun beating down overhead, children chasing one another through the side streets and alleyways that dotted Shibuya. It was hard for him to not feel crestfallen looking at what seemed to him the much more mundane world than the Digital World he had left. This was just the same old world where he would invisibly flit from one place to another.
"I don't see why we had to come back here so soon." Ollie said, hoisting the straps of his backpack up a little along his shoulders, the jingling keychain he had attached his digivice to showing the blinking visage of his Black ToyAgumon blinking through two frames of animation, speaking quietly to him through the V-Pet.
"Because you living in the Digital World as much as you want to isn't good for you. You need to move back and forth a little. You still have school, you still have to make sure people don't think you just vanished. Besides, Kaya would worry about you and that woman scares the hell out of me." Procopius said in his gruff manner of speaking. He also worried about his young partner but didn't have the kind of emotional energy to say it out loud. "Oh hey, look at that Ollie, a magic show! You like magic tricks, that could be fun, right?" Procopius said, not realizing that he was pointing out the show where the sibling of their new friend Kshin was about to make her grand debut.
"Hmph...yea I guess." Ollie said as he walked into the parlor where the show was going to be taking place, wondering what the promotion was for idly as Procopius sniffed softly. Was he smelling a Digimon? That seemed...well it would have seemed improbable if he hadn't very recently go through a crash course in the realities of the Digital and Human worlds.

Meanwhile unbeknownst to tamer and partner Lilly was bouncing on her toes from her hidden corner yet still the Guilmon remained patient. Sure patience was a virtue but not always an easy one to follow especially more so if one was young like herself. Then thinking about the tricks she would perform got the young digimon to focus. Her sapphire eyes carefully peaking out the curtain seeing a small group of people filing into seats but boy would that increase in speed closer to showtime. Pulling away from the curtain she smiled a mischievous grin that she definitely got from both her Grandpa Theron and her Wizardmon father Mandrake so there was a good chance the dino child was at least as potentially mischievous as Mandrake given her father's love of mischief was tame and she was basically a dinosaur version of the crafty Wizardmon minus the British accent.
Lilly sniffed the air catching a faint scent approaching the building and smiled. 'Looks like this show could get even more interesting if fellow digimon plan to attend the show. Perhaps I should introduce myself after the show.' Lilly thought with her smile widening and a faint light purple sparkle appearing in her eyes more akin to her eldest sibling LJ. Maybe it was because Guilmon, like Leomon X, was also a warrior species. 'Maybe this new digimon won't be made up of negative emotions as I don't feel comfortable with the idea of encountering such on a regular basis even if Hex was fascinating. Okay, Lilly, happy thoughts now. I am here to make an audience happy and I have some decent tricks. Besides always room for more than two performing magicians in the family.' Yes both Mandrake and her other older brother Kshin performed magic to make money so why couldn't she after all since it was fun and made people happy. With her nature as an empath she enjoyed feeling the happiness of others since she disliked bringing others emotional pain.

The duo walked into the venue and saw the people standing or the children sitting near the front toward the stage. Ollie was probably more than young enough to find a seat near the front without anybody really questioning it and yet he stood toward the back of the room and crossed his arms over his chest. He looked out toward the stage but his eyes weren't truly seeing it, mind wandering to the impossible beauty and breathtaking freedom of the Digital World. He didn't know how long Procopius would force him to be here "for his own good". He sighed and shook his head, he didn't want to be negative against Procopius for no reason, he should at least TRY to enjoy the show that his partner had picked out, it was actually kind of sweet the way that Procopius had invested himself in Ollie's interests and picked out a way to cheer him up. So Ollie smiled and readjusted himself to be less bunched up, actually looking at the stage this time.
Procopius sniffed a little, making the digivice he was stored in shudder on the upper strap of the rucksack he was clipped to. No, that was totally a digimon, there was no mistaking it even at whatever distance that Ollie was standing away from the stage. It would be an impossible smell to describe to a human, that quintessentially "digital" smell that shot right up his non-visible nose and stuck in the back of his throat like a sweet perfume. Most humans didn't think that Digimon smelt like anything unless they had been on a streak of particular uncleanliness but Digimon knew what each other smelled like from a far distance off, an old hangover from their less intelligent, more territorial days perhaps. His focus on the mystery was interrupted when he felt and saw Ollie readjust, the hinted ghost of a smile appeared at the edge of his lips. That made Procopius let out a relaxed sigh, he was starting to get in the habit of worrying about that boy.

The digimon smell had gotten closer that was for sure likely attracted by her scent but the scent was muffled. Perhaps the other digimon was in a digivice perhaps? The thought of later meeting another digimon made the young magician's grin widen even more as she cautiously peaked out her gaze seeing the place fill up. One of the entering people were not exhibiting happy emotions and this caught the Guilmon's attention as she soon spotted a young boy with a rucksack. Yup he was definitely a sour puss so maybe her show would make him cheer up.
Then a voice sounded through an intercom as it said "Now everyone. A new talent in magic so please enjoy the talents of Lilly the Magnificent."
Lilly grinned before a weak ball of magic appeared in her palm before she said "Showtime." She then lobbed the weakly powered magic ball at the stage it exploding like a pyrotechnic burst sending smoke straight up obscuring the slight opening in the curtain before spreading across the stage. Activating her holosuit she stepped out and as the smoke cleared a dark haired woman dressed the part of a professional magician. She smiled at the crowd before standing there with energy and confidence.

The burst of light and sound caught the entire crowd off guard as the sparkling, crackling firework buzzed over their head. Ollie's brow furrowed and he looked around, to the top of the venue stage and even the ceiling. For the life of him he couldn't seem to spot the tube or launcher where the pyrotechnics had come from. He stood up a little straighter against the beam he was leaning on as Lilly made her entrance, getting a round of grinning applause from the audience which Ollie joined in on. Now there was something that smelled like a mystery afoot and that, more than anything, was fit to bring him out of his funk.
Procopius equally perked up, though it was hard to tell with the little digital image of him on the screen of the Digivice flitting back and forth between the same two frames of animation. The smell had only gotten stronger now that Lilly had made he entrance onto the stage and just like Ollie, Procopius didn't see anywhere where the firework might have come from. He almost worried for a moment about bringing Ollie into the arena with whatever Digimon this happened to be but he looked up to actually see Ollie getting invested in the show before his eyes. Procopius shrugged and decided not to say anything in that moment. Who was he to plant a seed of worry? He just hadn't realized yet that Ollie was as much on the ball about the unnatural nature of this magician as Procopius' nose was.

Lilly smiled out at the crowd as she, even with her holosuit on, could feel the positive emotions from the crowd. It had seemed she even had the attention of the boy with the rucksack as his grumpy feelings seemed to be fading into curiosity. True her empathic sense was much weaker but with that crowd it was obvious the happiness and wonder they were feeling. As for the digimon she smelled earlier it was likely it was in the crowd in some form watching the performance and was likely on to the fact she was a digimon in disguise but that did not bother her as long as this digimon was not intending to cause any trouble.
She then began her act deciding to go with something simple because there was no reason to fry their minds with only more complex tricks. That and building things up was far more fun anyway. Taking what she watched from her Wizardmon father she rolled back her sleeve her smile not vanishing and showing nothing was hidden up there before removing her hat showing nothing was inside before setting it down not far from her. After all it was part of her holosuit so she needed to keep it close.
Now that she showed nothing was hidden she waved her hands before snow white doves flew out of her hat causing the crowd to respond with an 'Ahhh' in wonder as they had no idea how she did that before she waved her hands again the doves returning to her hat before she picked the hat up once again showing that nothing was inside the hat making the crowd look puzzled as to where the birds even went or if they were there.

Ollie's curiosity didn't seem to go down when he saw Lilly launch it what was a much more standard trick. making doves appear and vanish was an old magicians staple, there were a dozen well known ways to do the trick that would fire up the crowd nice and easy. Hidden pockets, trap doors underneath where the hat had been placed. It engaged Ollie's mind to be actively "moving along" with the show, his eyes searching every detail, trying to snap up the "trick" of each move and motion. it was like a puzzle to him, not trying to dissipate the wonder of the magic, if anything figuring out the trick to the best of his ability only made his wonder GROW.
"How the hell did she do that?!" Procopius gasped in total awe. He, in contrast to his partner, had never seen a magic show before, the complex motions and misdirection of classical prestidigitation were something brand new to him and his eyes were locked exactly where Lilly wanted them. Unlike Ollie who knew that the best way to find the trick was to watch the corners of the performance that the magician was trying to direct you away from, Procopius was being enraptured in the perfect way, following her hands, her smile, the ruffle of her cape, every motion that she no doubt was making with one hundred percent intention in order to make sure that she had her audience right where she wanted them.
Ollie almost opened his mouth to explain the most likely methods of performing the trick in the moment but he looked down at where his partner hung and then around him at the adults and especially the kids near the front. he shook his head, there would be plenty of time to explain thing to his partner later without running the risk of ruining the illusion for everyone who was more fully engaged with the performance. The last thing he needed was to make some poor child cry by convincing them magic wasn't real.

Lilly's smile never faded as she noticed Ollie's expression out of the corner of her eye. It seemed the young man was trying to figure out how the trick was done but little did he know was that the disguised magician had some very limited access to her magical energy that she inherited from her Wizardmon father's side of the family. So in essence the doves weren't doves at all but small fragments of her energy. In other words it was real magic she was using.
'What trick should she do next?' she wondered as she, in her earlier excitement, forgot to plan a routine out. So she was basically flying by the seat of her proverbial pants. Then her eyes lit up as something came to her. Waving her hands over her hat she was definitely not planning on pulling a bunny out of there that's for sure. After all that would be all too obvious and if Lilly was one thing it was not obvious. Probably a trait she picked up from Mandrake.
As she waved her hand slowly but surely a small cobra rose out of the hat and as if she were a snake charmer the snake began slithering up her arm making its way to her shoulder. Calmly she set her hat back on her head as if not bothered by the snake before reaching back carefully so as not to startle the snake before removing her cape and placing it over her arm and shoulder. After waving her hand over the spot where the cobra was she removed the cape and the snake was gone as mysteriously as the doves from earlier causing the crowd to cheer while she was putting her cape back on.
While the crowd was cheering she went to the curtain before pulling something out from behind it and it was revealed to be a large chest. It was time for her to show one of her other special talents as she pulled it to the center of the stage the audience focused on the large chest that looked as if it would just barely fit her.

Procopius was transfixed, he'd never seen anything like this before, even in the world of Digimon nothing had ever so fully grabbed hin by that small seed of wonder that he still held and refused to let go. His eyes would be tiwnkling if they weren't currently made up of two pixels each on the screen of the V-Pet, the slight rattling of the device as he bounced making it clear just how excited he was.
Ollie made a small mental note. he knew that Procopius was a very wild and physical kind of person, usually one to want to get the concrete detail of something. How it looked, how it sounded, how it felt or smelled. It didn't seem right to him to have to carry his partner around in the V-Pet. He knew that plenty of other Digimon were able to somehow take human form, whether it was something they had picked off of a shelf or something that they had been able to get custom made for themselves. He made a mental not to pick up one of those holo-suits the next time they were in the Digital World. The next time he was doing something, he wanted Procopius to be right there with him.
Not that Procopius seemed to mind in the moment as his breathing seemed to stop at the vision of the cobra circling and snaking up and down the young lady's arm. It was a thrill, a chill that made the entire audience gasp with a sudden shortness of breath and a cold sweat collecting on the back of their necks before it vanished. Multiple rows of children whooped and screamed their adoration from the front row, clapping and raising a fuss. Many of the adults standing around the outer ring of the venue whistled and hooted in turn.
Lilly had a natural ability to fire up the crowd, her majesty, her energy, it was infectious. There wasn't a frown in the house for her first performance so far, even Ollie had forgotten many of his troubles just watching the woman's passion for her art as she performed up there on stage.

Lilly was filled with energy as she felt the shifting emotions of her audience her positive energy seemed to have spread through the room at hand and the disguised Guilmon was enjoying every moment of it as she loved that she was making so many people happy.
She was very curious of the boy with a rucksack and the digimon she was feeling with him. It was clear the boy's partner was concealed from sight so a V-Pet as she doubted the digimon was in the rucksack given the emotions she was picking up was clearly from both the tamer and partner and if she wasn't using a holosuit she would be able to feel the emotions far easier.
Her smile spreading she then said "Now everyone I am about to perform a much more difficult trick but I need help from someone in the audience." At the asking for a volunteer many audience members bounced with energy hoping she would pick one of them as she gazed over the crowd though she knew who she was planning on choosing since she was curious of the tamer and digimon pair. Looking in Ollie and Procopius' direction she pointed as she said "Hey over there! You with the rucksack. Would you like to come up and assist me?"

Ollie wasn't doing much to hide his digivice, it was attached to a small accessory chain right there on the strap of his rucksack and dancling right in front of his left hand shoulder. Most people on the street would have had no idea what it was in the first place and Ollie hadn't yet had his trust of tamers in general eroded to the point where he felt the need to hide that he was one in order to stay out of trouble.
"YE-mmmph!" Procopius instantly reacted to being called up on stage. Ollie reached up with a sharp reflex and covered the digivice with his hand, muffling the voice somewhat before his partner's enthusiasm gave them both away. He did smile up at the performer though and nodded, walking up toward the stage. He knew full well at this point that Procopius would never forgive him if he said no or chickened out. Chickening out seemed like a better option by the second though as he approached the stage under a rain of cheers and applause like he was some kind of performer in a play that was running up the aisles during a musical number. Like all of his social anxiety hitting him in the face by the second Ollie quickly ascended the stairs to stand next to Lilly, shaking in his boots deeply.

Lilly felt Procopius' excitement before feeling Ollie's unease as he muffled his partner. That was not Lilly's intention, however, but still the teen with the rucksack made his way up looking as if he was struggling with trying not to chicken out. The young man's social anxiety was now written plainly on his face which made Lilly struggle not to flinch. Still remaining professional though she leaned down toward the short boy and quietly said "Hey it's okay. Pay no attention to the crowd and just pay attention to me. This trick is a cool one."
Leaning up she turned to the crowd before walking over to the chest as she said "Now the young man here is going to help me out. Inside this chest is a set of chains and a lock." She opened the chest pulling out the solid chains and heavy duty lock setting them on the stage floor before she said "When I climb inside I need our young friend to secure the chest with the chains and using the lock to seal it shut." It was clear it was a trick involving showing her talents as an escape artist. Definitely not a trick for beginners to attempt as there was potential dangers involved. Lilly then climbed inside the chest kneeling down smiling at Ollie before ducking down closing the lid of the chest behind her. Hopefully Ollie would be able to overcome his anxiety to lock the chest.

Ollie did focus on her for a moment but what seemed to settle him for the moment was flicking his eyes over to the digivice hanging off the strap along his shoulder. Procopius didn't say anything, the device only softly buzzing with excitement. Ollie took a deep breath in through his nose and nodded sharply as he listened to the instructions that Lilly was delivering to the audience. He didn't turn to face the crowd, he just focused on Lilly's instructions and the soft press of his digivice's weight against his shoulder.
"You got this, Ollie." Procopius whispered right there beside his ear as Ollie stepped up toward the chest, unable to keep himself from noting the murmuring crowd out of the corner of his eye. Were they judging him? Calling him names down there in the stands? Were his bullies here somehow, could they see? He sucked in another hard breath through his nose and shook his head. It didn't matter, Procopius said he had it, so he had it. he accepted his partner's confidence as fact as easily as he would accept a figure or statistic out of one of his books. Procopius said he had it, so it was true.
"I am wishing I read more books on knots. Unfortunatley, I could knot." Ollie said, trying to make himself worry less with a bad joke, slightly louder than he meant to, his voice actually carrying out into the crowd and...they laughed. Seeing him tug the chains into place over top of the chest he paused and looked out just as he bunched up the last of the slack and clicked the padlocks closed. He looked out over the crowd and saw people actually laughing. Not at him, but with him. The blush on his face nearly set his cheeks on fire.

Lilly smiled as Ollie seemed to be slowly calming down and was listening to her advice. Apparently his partner was helping him though with her holosuit disguise she couldn't really make out Procopius' words that well. Her hearing was better than a human's but far from super enhanced by digimon standards.
Lilly lightly snickered at Ollie's bad joke as he began tugging the chains into place. Then as if she forgot something, Lilly, with a muffled voice, said "Remember everyone. I am a trained professional so don't try this at home." Meanwhile from within the chest she deactivated her holosuit and waited patiently while she said "You out there. Don't forget to let me know when the chest is done being locked up before you step back." She smiled as she had just the thing to wow the crowd before she worked on escaping the chest. 'Boy would they be surprised.' she thought as she began to channel her magic preparing to add a little pizzazz to her escape.
