Yaku was lost. The map, although small and written on a napkin would have been useful... if he'd had a compass to assist him. After days of walking, Yaku found himself in the desert, after three days in the desert sun Yaku had found the Hardware Den. Wearing both sets of his cloths at night and none but what was necessary at the day, Yaku'd kept himself from dying of heat, although his food and drink supply were ungodly-low. He'd saved the bottle after he'd brought with him, even after emptying it of its contents, as a way to bring water with him if he found any more. But now that he was at civilization, even if the civilization was an unusual and robotic sort, he was happy to indulge himself.
He was indulging himself at a saloon, although they served oil, antifreeze, and degreasers, he was able to convince the bartender to serve him some water. And there is where our hero sits now, in a bar, listening to automatons get drunk and tell him their life story while he hopes none of them would ask him about who he was, why he was dressed in attire befitting a golfer, and where his digivice was. Having ordered the special and finding it was nothing more than a salad riddled with nuts and bolts, he sighed and took what he ordered anyway.

Elson walked again throught hardware den. He remembered this was the place he met Silversteamdramon, his first digimon. Of course, back then he would never have guessed how much he was about to get himself into.
Elson walked into a bar, with his own supplies. He just wanted a table to sit. There he saw another human amongst a group of drunk digimon.
"Reload Silversteamdramon." Elson said. Immediatly Silversteamdramon came out of his fusion loader. Then he approaced the man "Hey pal, do you need help or anything?"
Silversteamdramon approached as well. "Yeah, we`ll have your back, right my general?" Silversteamdramon told the man
"Please Silversteamdramon, don`t cal me that. Besides his digimon has his back, right? What`s your name, pal?"
Elson found it really annoying that SIlversteamdramon called him "my general" especially because of the impression it could get on people. Suddenly the bartender looked at them and raised his arms. They were about six, each holding a glass or a bottle of something.
"Hey Silversteamdramon! How you doing? Haven`t seen you around in a while!" The bartender called out.
"Hi Kongoumon! Excuse me for a moment my general." Silversteamdramon replied as he moved closer to the bartender.

Yaku turned and looked at the suddenly friendly companion who'd just arrived in the middle of his glass of water. Setting it down after finishing, Yaku smiled and bowed. "Hello, I am Tridori Yaku. I do not need any help an-" He was cut off as he stared at the unusual digimon who approached. After a short bit of silence Yaku was brought back by the mention of his own digimon. "Uh... well..." He was skeptical on how to answer. Introducing himself as someone without a partner had a tendancy to have him be targetted for attack or pitied. Being pitied was a nice change of pace from the human world but the fact he was just as likely to be beaten again was not something worth risking. "Y-yeah, my Digimon's here... h-he's in the restroom. Who're you and your... friend?" He guessed.

"So, you DON'T have a partner, do you? I say that because I never heard of a digimon that uses the restroom and I have three digimon myself." Elson explained. "Is that water? Wow, you sure got lucky, the last time I was here the thing I was served was a pie with porks on it. Wasn't a particulary happy ending. Anyways do you wanna sit by that table over there. There's an empty table we were gonna sit on, and I personaly think it's better than being in a middle of a group of drunks."
Meaningwhile, Silversteamdramon was talking to the bartender Kongoumon.
"So where have you been?" Kingoumon asked
"Out and about." Silversteamdramon replied.
"With a human...wait are you partners?"
"Yep. He is my general. Mine, Tinkermon's and Drimogemon's."
"Really? Congratulations then, old friend. Say why don't you go and sit there with your general and I'll get you a couple of drinks for free. Maybe you could do me a little favor afterwards?"
"I'll see what my general says. I haven't told him about our little "agreements" yet."
"I see, go then, I'll bring drinks. I assume your general is as picky as that other human?"
"Yep. Fleshbags, what can you do?"
"Exactly."

Yaku blinked, confused. "...But why do they have bathrooms if they don't use them?" He asked before shaking his head and sighing. He followed the tamer, carrying his drink with him. "...Hey, mind if I ask for some help? I need a way back to the human world, but I don't want to risk using the trailmon unless I absolutely have to... c-can you help me out?" He took out the napkin with a map to Terminus on it. "I've been following this, but without a compass it's practically useless..."

"I don't know why. Maybe its decoration or maybe the place ain't a restroom at all, I don't know. I mean after being lost in a forest and stuck inside a whamon, I simply don't care." Elson replied to Yaku's comment on the reason digimon even had bathrooms, before they moved to the table, where Yaku asked Elson's help with a map he had. To Elson the map seemed hard to understand, so he decided to get some help. "Reload Tinkermon, Drimogemon!"
The fairy digimon and the mole digimon appeared each on their own side of Elson and begun to examine the map.
"This thing looks like it's been drawn by a cute little baby Aww, did your son did this? Maybe your daugther?" Tinkermon commented.
"Actually I think it's pretty good. But you have a long way to go east Yaku." Drimogemon replied.
"Oh he is so smart, he can get any map!..." Tinkermon cried out.
"Ok, that's enougth you two, load Tinkermon , load Drimogemon." Elson said and both digimon returned to the fusion loader. Then Elson saw Silversteamdramon approaching. "Hey Silversteamdramon! Everything Ok?"
"Yep just meeting up with an old friend my general." Silversteamdramon replied as he sat down next to Elson.
The kongoumon appeared next, bringing drinks.

Yaku sat and stared at the digimon who came out and suddenly began talking to him. "I... don't have a- East? Where's East? I don't have a comp- I... thank you?" Yaku was just as confused as he was before, and was relieved as he put the two of them away. "I'm... I'm confused. How come you have more than one digimon?" He asked, before being cut off again by his shout. Finally, Yaku just decided to stay quiet until he got the drink. "Thank you..."
Waiting a few moments, praying that they'd finally let him talk, Yaku gave a sigh of relief. "So... how come you have so many Digimon? I-I thought humans were only allowed one... H-how come... n-nevermind." Yaku took a drink and nodded to the bartender. "Th-thank you, sir..."

As they took out their drinks, the bartender turned and left. "Well, Xros Generals such as myself can have a larger amount of digimon, I`m not sure how many yet. So far, I have three and that`s enougth for me to handle for now." Elson explained after the bartender left. "Also, if you want we`ll show you where east is, but I`d take the trailmon if I was you. You see there`s a whole desert to cross to east. In fact..."
Elson was interrupted by someone approaching the table. It was a clearly drunk digimon which reassembled a wooden robot. "You say it again to my face, uh?" The digimon asked Elson "Say what?" Elson replied, confused "Don`t come around trying to full me. I have just been informed that you called me "tree", and I trust the scource. Come on out, I`ll show you who the tree is." "I`m sorry, but..." "Don`t come around with excuses. You and me outsider, now." "Look there, you wanna figth, fight me!" Silversteamdramon interviened. "Alright, I`ll show ya, noody messes with Arbormon!" The wooden digimon replied and walked out the door, nearly stumbling a couple of times on the way out. Silversteamdramon followed and signaled Elson to do it too. "Why is it that wherever I go there is a fight?" Elson asked himself as he exited through the door with Silversteamdramon. Both of them questioned themselves.

Yaku sighed. "I've walked across the desert once already, and I need to keep a close look at the money I have so I can afford the trip back to Japan. I-if I take the trailmon to Terminus I-" He found himself in a similar situation, cut-off by an aggressive drunkard who Yaku assumed had taken a similar train ride to Margaritaville. "N-no sir we've been saying East..." Yaku said, shying away, worried.
"L-let's just calm down... Can we ge-" He was cut off by SilverSteamDramon, Yaku frowning as he realized that once again his luck had turned sour... perhaps it has always been sour, and the Digital World was allowing that to thrive. Yaku followed the three, worried. "T-trust me, I-I'm in the same boat... But I suggest just apologizing before this gets out of control... There's no rule saying that forfeiting a battle is a weak thing... I-it's the only way to w-win the game is not to play it... I-I mean, it's not like we've said things nobody can take back, r-right? Just apologize to him and w-we can go back to the way we were..." He grabbed the napkin and put it inside his suitcase, despite what he said he was fairly sure this would not end peacefully.

"My dear Sir, if we try to get out of the fight now, this guy will hit us with a missile. But I'l take the one on one here don't you worry. Well, mostly." Silversteamdramon warned the man following them.
"I think I got your point. Scan!" A small screen appeared above Elson's fusion loader, currently on his hand with stats on Arbormon. Elson stopped for a moment. Just a few weeks ago, he'd be just like Yaku, trying to get of the fight quickly. But something was starting to boil up inside Elson, a desire to get this straight.i It wasn't about survival anymore, it was bout the rumble. About winning and beating everyone, every foe they found. He was feeling like he had been infected by Silversteamdramon. " This digimon is though in armor. In melee terms, he's a hard bone to chew. We have to disarm him."
"Any plans my general?" Silversteamdramon asked
"Yes. Silversteamdramon, Drimogemon, digi-fusion!"
A bright light came from both the fusion loader and Silversteamdramon, and when it faded Silversteamdramon-D was online.
"Let'sget this done. Yaku you might wanna stay around. I'll get a gift for you." Silversteamdramon-D told the man before turning to face it's oponent. It knew Elson's plan. It was like they were in sink.

Yaku frowned as he began to feel useless once more. Following the young boy and the partners he began to worry about just how this would go... and if it would end up with him injured yet again. "Disarm him? B-but he's not h-holding weapons... h-how'd he shoot a missile at us? A-are you just speaking figuratively o-" He was cut off as the boy took out the digivice once more, this time using the fusion loader to... well, fuse. As he stared at the new creature that stood before them, he turned to look at Elson.
"I... h-how... but..." He wasn't going to disobey the command given, but he was INTENSELY worried about this, and his own safety. He'd not been severely damaged yet; cut up, bruised, and pummeled, yes, but never straight up shot, exploded, or mutilated. As he looked at the running gears of the wooden digimon and his sharp as blades teeth, he was still fairly sure that he'd end up missing more than a few scraps of clothing if this went bad.

The battle was about to begin. Yaku was clearly nervous.
"Don`t worry Yaku, we dealt with worse." Elson tried to Comfort the man. For some reason it felt weird to have to Comfort someone. Especially someone older than him.
"Blockade seed!" The arbormon shouted, making the first move. It`s teeth opened and a large seed-like missile came flying from it, the teeth closing again.
"Drimogena-cannon!" Steamdramon shouted, releasing the drill on it`s right arm against the missile. The two rockets exploded when they came in contact and Silversteamdramon-D was quick to make the next move. It jumped into the smoke, curling up. "Drilling Ball!"
Various drills appeared all over Silversteamdramon-D`s body just before the fusion disappeared into the smoke. Screams of pain could be heard from where Elson and Yaku stood, fortunatly coming from Arbormon.
"Roundhouse Punt!" the abormon screamed as the smoke began to dissipate, punching Steamdramon-D with one of his extendable hands, throwing the mechanical dragon back."Blockade Seed!"
Another Seed came flying towards them and Silversteamdramon-D signaled Elson to step back. Grabing Yaku`s shirt, Elson took a few backwards steps, trying to get the man to come with him.
"Drimogena-Cannon!" Silversteamdramon-D shouted, the drills coming from his arm and flying against the seed, with the same result as the last time, except this time, the arbormon jumped really high away from the smoke. "Roundhouse Punt!" the wooden digimon shouted, it`s arms and legs extending and coming towards the place where Steamdramon-D was and until a few moments ago, Elson was too.
"Circle of Steam!" Steamdramon-D cried out before beggining to dig into the ground, causing the extended arms and legs from Arbormon to completly miss it.
The smoke began to dissipate. The drunk digimon feel again into the ground, kneeling, but quickly raising himself. It turned out, this digimon wasn`t as drunk as Elson and Steamdramon expected, but the stragety might still work. Out of nowhere, a geiser exploded right beneath the arbormon, throwing the digimon into the air, before falling with it`s back into the mettalic and sandy ground. From the ground Steamdramon-D also appeared, digging and jumped onto the unfriendly digimon.
"Blockade Seed!" the arbormon said opening his mouth and revealing another seed missile. "Voltic Digger!" Silversteamdramon replied, eletrifying it`s drill and shoving into the missile before it left arbormon`s mouth, causing it to explode right inside of their foe.
"Alright, I give up, I give up!" the slightly drunken digimon cried out, raising his arms.
"Ok then..." Steamdramon-D replied "But you`ll have to pay a fee for this. We have a friend there in need of cash. You would be so kind as to pay him a little trailmon ride or two?"
"Ok, I will, but..." the defeated digimon tried to protest.
"No but."
"Ok..."

The whole time this went on, Yaku could only stare at the violence and destruction the two went through. Explosions rocked his eardrums and screams definitely did not help keep him calm. Even as the boy comforted him Yaku felt his legs shaking like crazy. This entire escapade was getting worse and worse, culminating in the in-mouth explosion that ended the fight. "I-I d-don't..." He backed away from the group, horrified as to what occurred.
"Y-you just beat someone, almost to death, and took his money!" He looked at Elson and Steamdramon-D with the same kind of shocked and horrified look he'd give someone if they asked him to bury a body. "I-I can't take that money! Th-that's not right!" He shook his head. "H-he can keep his cash. I-if he doesn't want to help me that's f-fine, let him go, m-maybe he was just having a hard day. I-I wanted to apologize and move on! I wanted to just calm him down, b-but no! NO! You beat up a poor drunk simply because you didn't feel like talking to him! You didn't even TRY to calm him down! I-I-Is every human in this world like this? H-have we all abandoned our morals s-so quickly? I've been mugged and abandoned and left for dead and everyone j-just seems to forget that you can't just DO THAT!" He sighed and looked back to the fallen enemy.
Yaku approached the Arbormon, offering a hand to help it up. "S-sorry... I-I didn't want it to... um... s-sorry..."

Yaku seemed shocked about what Elson had just done. Elson was quite offended by the man`s coment. "Excuse me?! You saw that guy? He was drunk, a drunk digimon! Like the ones who blow you up if they`re upset? I don`t know how long you`ve here, but when they`re wild. they`re wild, there`s no "talking to them". Besides, he picked a fight with us, we took it and won. We took a prize to help you and punish this guy Maybe the next time he won`t get drunk and come around picking fight`s with us, will he?" Elson complained back at Yaku. The fusion split behind them and Drimogemon returned to the fusion loader.
Yaku went to help the arbormon up. The wooden digimon almost punched the human in anger, if he wasn`t stopped by Silversteamdramon`s sword. Clearly the drunk digimon wasn`t taking th defeat all that well. Behind them, a loud clapping began. Elson turned to see who it was. The bartender was standing behind them, with what seemed to be the closest thing a giant golden beetle had to a smile.
"Just what is happening here? Why are you clapping?" Elson asked, suspicious.
"I`m sorry about this little incident, but I wanted to see this with my own eyes." the bartender replied
"See what?"
"The fight of course. And Arbormon, sorry about my little lie a few moments ago. I`ll get you a couple of free drinks on the house as a method of compensating."

"B-but I..." Yaku sighed and shook his head. "H-he doesn't need more drinks, he needs help! He's a violent alcoholic that doesn't need to..." The businessman looked upset at this whole scenario that could've been easily avoided. Sighing, Yaku watched as everyone began heading back into the building without paying him any mind. Sighing and going back in to grab his briefcase, the businessman began preparing to return to the desert. It would be a long walk, but he needed to do it if he ever wished to go home. Home. That was a wonderful word to the hurt businessman. Home was where his wife was, where safety lie, where he could finally return to his bed and sleep off this never-ending nightmare of a world. Grabbing one last glass to drink, Yaku drank what he could before leaving.
A few minutes later the businessman rushed back into the restrooms to vomit up the deadly chemicals he'd mistaken for water. (Thread exit)
