Like most other scientific types, Nikola also likes to be forward-thinking but prefers to operate under the radar as far as possible since he is highly intolerant of any outside interference with any of his activities. Additionally, like all others of his kind, Nikola is always a dominant, highly self-confident, objective-minded visionary who always has grandiose goals. Thus, he prefers to spend much of his time pondering how to achieve those goals, but still, due to his innately introverted nature, he rarely if ever likes to tell anyone about said plans. Apart from that, like most others of his kind, Nikola is also very detail-oriented while also preferring to see the bigger picture of any given situation and how the various details fit into it.
Furthermore, like others of his kind, he loves to immerse himself in whatever project completely and frequently tends to lose track of time and other obligations as well while doing it. Beyond that, he never likes to run away from a challenge unless it is too far beyond his capacity to provide a solution, and in trying to resolve said challenge or problem, he very often prefers to look for a solution that reaches far beyond the original parameters of the original problem. Lastly, he is almost always unnervingly calm and often likes to have several equally efficient plans with several backups for each plan and even exit strategies if the situation goes south and even likes to modify each one to suit the situational flow.
Though Nikola has all these strengths stated above, since he has developed into quite the stereotypical mad scientist, he now has many of the multifarious unsavory traits one would expect from individuals of this type. That said, it is noteworthy that he is not exactly identical to many other stereotypical examples of this archetype since he does not bother with monologuing when interacting with hero types, since he does not bother trying to achieve world domination, because he is highly disingenuous in thought, word, and deed, and due to the fact that he always prefers to work within the “system” instead of outside it while also using it to his advantage to protect himself and his ongoing and ever-burgeoning mad science research interests from interference. The only other flaws he has are his obsession with all things and entities which are fluffy and jelliform to any significant degree, his incorrigible hedonism, and his obsession with high aesthetics.

Nikola is a 5’ 7” (1.70 m), 32 year old man who weighs 148.0 lbs. (67.1 kg) and who possesses a lean build. Additionally, he has a tanned skin tone and has half-black/half-white hair which hangs low over his face and curls up somewhat in the back. Beyond that, his body is marred by various blemishes as well as many miscellaneous imperfections due to his usage of himself as a research specimen in his ongoing and ever-burgeoning mad science research efforts. The most notable of these is the patch of mismatched skin on his face which is bounded by a healed suture line that cuts across his face and this biggest one is the only one of these imperfections that is always visible to any onlookers since the rest are hidden by his attire. Finally, his eyes regularly have dark circles underneath them since he frequently forgets to get adequate rest due to always being immersed in his mad science research efforts and his professional duties as a physician-scientist.

Nikola Eisenstein’s story begins with that of his parents who were Johann Eisenstein and Marie Eisenstein, who are the two leaders of the most current generation of the Eisenstein family lineage hailing from what is now Serbia and what is now Germany. Since the founding of this lineage, the members of this lineage had focused on and eventually developed several lines of medicosurgical products including smart prosthetics. Additionally, based on the value of these, they had even made a special effort to enter the realm of business and economics and establish themselves as major players in it since long ago, with their claim to fame being the design of such cutting-edge medicosurgical products of all varieties as well as certain other diversified product lines which allowed them to expand into other equally profitable product markets over time.
Consequently, in the present day, this lineage and all members therein have been able to enjoy an exalted socioeconomic status. As a result, Nikola Eisenstein who is the current and sole heir to the Eisenstein family lineage’s leadership position was born with the proverbial silver spoon in his mouth and was a truly promising prospect right from childhood due to having inherited many genetic gifts from each side of the family, with the chief among these being their genius-level intellectual acumen and all aspects therein as well as their naturally strategic bent of mind which was one of the secrets to the lineage’s success. So, he was also given the usual education in all the areas of expertise that one would expect any such heir to an ultra-rich and highly influential business family to possess in his or her repertoire, including things such as proper high society etiquette, foreign language, fine arts, oration, and so on.
In this manner, time marched upon swift wings for the young Nikola as he grew from a young boy into a teenager and eventually reached collegiate age too while growing into his mastery of the basics of each of the areas of expertise that he had been receiving tutelage till then. However, during this period, there were only a few noteworthy things. One of them was his acquisition of his now incorrigible hedonism. The next few were his obsession with strategy games of all kinds, his obsession with the squishy and the jelliform as well as his obsession with anything related significantly to anime and manga or pop culture. The last thing here was his acquisition of the only two phobias that would eventually haunt him in a lifelong manner, namely his caniphobia for bestial dogs and wolves which he began to suffer from after a rather violent encounter with a pack of stray dogs and his acrophobia for heights of 100+ m which he was afflicted by ever since he nearly fell off the top of a cliff side near his family’s estate that he had been playing on at the time.
Nikola’s formal schooling from his undergrad years onward focused on a path toward becoming a physician and a researcher along with privately undertaken instruction in business as well as economics, with the aim of preparing him for eventually being able to take over the family’s business conglomerate and all aspects of its leadership as well. So, while dealing with all this, Nikola eventually went from collegiate age to being a full-on working professional adult after his graduation, his base of operations being his personal mansion and hospital he worked at in Belgrade, Serbia. In this manner, everything was working out well for him and during these next several years until his 27th birthday, he had a rather peaceful life. However, by the time he hit his 29th birthday, his life started to become quite a bit more eventful since by then he had received orders from the elders of his family to travel to Japan and take over the leadership of the Japanese branch of his family’s multinational business conglomerate set up there shortly before.
Naturally, since Nikola was obsessed with everything in anime and manga by this point as well as with popular culture, he was only too happy to comply with said orders since in his eyes, this was his chance to immerse himself not only in the enjoyment of these previously mentioned interests, but also in the rest of Japanese culture as well, including both its more traditional and more modern aspects. Thus began his life in Japan, and more specifically in the Shibuya area of Tokyo, aka Japan’s capital. Once there, Nikola began to work tirelessly in both his personally chosen professional path as a physician-scientist and in his role as one of the leadership echelon of the Japanese branch of his family’s multinational business conglomerate from then on and by the time his 30th birthday came about, his efforts had managed to help his associates at said branch to extend the socioeconomic influence of the previously mentioned conglomerate into the Japanese market as well.
Beyond that, the one most eventful thing that happened to Nikola during this time period was his encounters with the many rumors floating about the Shibuya area regarding the various mysterious “monsters” sometime around a certain Golden Week period, and later on, with the said “monsters” themselves, albeit only from a bystander spectating a very brief confrontation between a few such “monsters” which had just coincidentally occurred when he was in the area of Shibuya called the “Scramble Crossing”. Consequently, he became obsessed with studying said entities as well as with finding out more about them and this eventually led to his more in-depth experience with a realm that he came to know as being called the “Digital World” wherein the “monsters” which he came to know as being called “Digimon” seemed to have their origin. Naturally, at some point during one of his first sojourns into this realm through a certain area of a certain infamous train station in Shibuya, Nikola ended up encountering and then partnering up with a digimon, this one being called “Warpmon”.
This partnership was an interesting one right from the start since Nikola and his new digimon partner had the same interests, namely their obsession with exploring the depths of the proverbial scientific abyss and with studying everything mysterious in existence at any cost no matter how drastic or unacceptable to those around them in much the same vein as any stereotypical mad scientist. Thus, this shared passion and Nikola’s hidden pet peeve of not being able to indulge in such pursuits in the Human World due to the many laws and bylaws in existence to protect against such atrocities therein led the two on many journeys in various parts of the Digital World thenceforth and found many allies by his 31st birthday. Alas, as was the case with all the mad scientists, these two also met with some form of karmic retribution at a later point in their shared journeys. This event mainly involved their insatiable curiosity leading them to fiddle around with what they should have left alone, namely the Xros Loader digivice that connected them inextricably as partners.
However, true to form, neither Nikola nor his Warpmon were able to resist the inexorable siren song of their curiosity about the mysterious Xros Loader and the intricacies of its functions. So, they began to experiment on it in various ways using all the knowledge and tools at their disposal and during one of these experiments, thing took a rather horrible turn for the worse, or at least this event would have been considered as such if it had happened to anyone else more straight-laced and upstanding in nature. This was because all their tinkering had caused the regulatory program for the fusion protocol of their Loader to malfunction badly and had, in essence, fused Nikola’s human mind with his Warpmon’s digital corpus permanently, thus making them a singular entity overall while causing Nikola to lose his body and his Warpmon to lose his mind.
In Nikola’s and his Warpmon’s case, though, they considered this traumatic event to instead be a god-sent blessing in disguise since they both strongly believed in the evolution of the self to a higher state of being through artificial means instead of through the usual gimmick of extreme hard work and effort. So, as a testament to this now permanent change they experienced in themselves, they decided to christen this aberrant species of digimon which had been born now due to their inadvertent fusion as “Steinmon”. Unfortunately, however, due to the malfunctioning of their Loader, their former army ended up being scattered to the proverbial four corners of the Digital World, leaving them with no allies whatsoever. Consequently, by Nikola's 32nd birthday, they have had to set about forming a new Xros army to act as their support squadron and that story brings Nikola’s saga to the present day. From here, it remains to be seen what fate awaits him going forward, but it is fairly certain that it will be an interesting ride all the way there.

Since he is a Machine digimon, Johann tends to exhibit the stereotypical robotic behavior along with the salient personality traits. For instance, he is always perfectly objective as well as perfectly logical in all situations, regardless of context. Furthermore, a side effect of this is that he also does not waste any time with the indulgence of any melodrama, sarcasm, and other such interaction elements. Besides that, this perfectly logical and always objective nature of his is also what makes him exhibit an extremely pragmatic, cool-headed, and analytical bent of mind along with the associated behaviors. Lastly, his loyalty to Nikola and the other members of the Mad Science Brigade (i.e., Nikola’s Xros Army), like that of his fellow comrades from this same group, is eternally steadfast, regardless of the situation, though in his case, partially because it has been permanently coded into his digicore.
Despite having all these strengths, Johann also has quite a few defects to his personality.
