It wasn't completely unusual for Ruby to wander off during lunch, of course she grabbed her food before doing her little disappearing act - but she rarely went far. Infact she didn't even leave the Campus! Something she proudly stated when questioned by a teacher on where she had been. She simply had wandered off to seek out a quiet spot during her first few days after starting, claiming a particular tree as her own after a few weeks. By now it was known by a few around school, particularly her friends and a few older students who knew her brothers - that the young girl would occassionally disappear but could usually be found happily sitting in 'her tree'.
Today was one of those days, although unknown to most - she wasn't as alone as expected. It wasn't too unsual to hear Ruby mumbling if you walked beneath the tree while she was there, seemingly mumbling to only herself as she jotted something down in the notebook she almost always had on her. She did have company, although as of this point in time - no one knew about her new 'friend' that she had, content and happy curled up in Ruby's backpack that she had carefully placed beside her on the large and sturdy branch that was her favorite.
"No, No - are you sure that's right?" The mumbling from the bright haired girl, was a little louder and followed by a softer sound as the bag at her side shifted slightly, as if there was something inside that was...alive. Thankfully they were up in a tree, the movement could easily be explained away as a gust of wind shifting it. The young girls attention was focused on the odd 'onesided' conversation and whatever she was writing in the notebook - so much so that she didn't notice at first that someone was below her favorite tree, let alone if they wanted her attention.
