Ryuji's information seemed to make Ryu happy and, not only that, Daten seemed even more excited to go to the Digital World. Soon a beeping sound filled the air causing Yoshihiro to wiggle his large ears while the younger tamer checked his phone. Apparently it was getting late and he needed to get home soon.
Then when Daten said he wanted to play with another digimon he was staring at Yoshihiro and the small martial artist smiled and said "I wouldn't mind playing if you two have time to spare."
Then Ryuji said "Depending on how long it will take you to get home from here and if you have some spare time that might be a possibility."
"Even if you don't have time and need to take one of those iffy short cuts, I can keep you safe from being attacked." Yoshihiro said causing Ryuji to shake his head.
"Yoshihiro, what have I told you about actively looking for trouble with humans?" Ryuji asked with a sigh.
"To not to but I assure you I don't intend to cause any trouble. I just want to make sure Ryu and Daten will be safe as they get home." Yoshihiro said.
"I know. How did I get so lucky to get a brother like you? Especially when you would be the type of tiny adorable digimon that many girls would go nuts over. To think you are partnered with me of all people." Ryuji said.

"My apartment is not far from here since it's right near my school. Though you need to turn a few corners to get there," Ryu explained. "Plus, it's a bit dangerous to go home when it's night time. So a bit of security would be nice."
Yay! I can play with Yoshihiro a bit more! Daten happily said as he jumped on Ryu's shoulder.
Ryu chuckled. "Hey, calm down, Daten. I get we can hang out with Ryuji a bit longer, but we still need to be careful. I don't want to get Dad suspicious of me hanging out with strangers." He then stared at Ryuji for a while. "If you don't mind, Ryuji..."
In reality, Ryu wanted to hang out more with Ryuji and his Calumon. He wanted to meet more Tamers like him because he felt like he wasn't alone. But he didn't want to be too selfish because of his personal wants along with Daten's. Besides, he doubt his father would get involved in these strange Digimon encounters because he was an adult.

Ryuji smiled as he noticed Daten's excitement while Yoshihiro giggled while he said "Yay! Play sounds good!" At first Ryuji was surprised by Yoshihiro seeing as the small digimon was serious a short time ago since they had been training together but, then again, other than training Yoshihiro was an energetic and playful type at heart. It made Ryuji find it hard to believe the little guy could become anything like a twenty foot holy dragon at the ultimate level. Sure his mega was surprising too but his most surprising forms were definitely his armor ultimate and ultimate forms.
"As for getting you home, if you are worried about your dad seeing us then we can follow at a distance to observe you so we can keep you guys safe when you guys are ready to head home." Ryuji said offering his suggestion which he hoped Ryu would find acceptable.
Yoshihiro floated off of Ryuji's shoulder approaching Daten before he began to gently tickle the small digimon playfully while giggling.

"That's good to hear." Ryu sighed in relief before he turned to his Digimon. "Just don't get separated from us if you play with Yoshihiro, Daten."
I will! I will! Daten happily said as Ryu turned his phone to the Calumon so he could see the Tsumemon's message. Let's play! Let's play, Yoshihiro!
With that, Ryu started walking home while Daten started playing with Yoshihiro nearby. He was happy to see that Daten has a new Digimon friend to play with sometime. Yet he wondered about one thing as he turned to Ryuji.
"Um... I know we can contact each other through Tamernet, but is there any way we can contact each other?" Ryu asked. "I understand if you say no because of our ages. But I really want to learn more about not only Daten's evolutions but also the Digimon themselves. Honestly, other than being partners, they seemed to be more living beings than digital, I think..."
He then stared at Daten happily bouncing around Yoshihiro on the empty streets.

Daten seemed happy at the prospect of play and Yoshihiro said "I agree. Let's play!"
Yoshihiro didn't seem put off one bit by Daten's unique method of communication so Ryuji didn't think to much on it cause maybe the little guy was mute and was using the phone since not having hands made it hard to use sign language or write things down. While Yoshihiro floated near Daten playing Ryuji was also happy that Yoshihiro was getting the chance to just relax and play. Sure he knew other digimon but most of the time the Calumon was fighting alongside other digimon to deal with various problems so such a break was welcome. Yoshihiro's yin/yang necklace, which matched Ryuji's was gently swaying with the small digimon's movements.
"I don't mind giving you my phone number but you have a point seeing as I'm eighteen now. So maybe we can email." Ryuji suggested as he brought out a piece of paper and wrote down his phone number and email address to be sure. "Here you go." Ryuji said handing the paper over to Ryu.

Ryu nodded his head before he accepted the paper from Ryuji. "Thanks. Not much of an email user, but it's better than nothing," he said. "Though it might be a good double-edged sword since my Dad won't catch on since he also knew about my habits. Well, not a lot or it might be too awkward, but you get what I mean."
He then stared at his Tsumemon, who was still playing with Yoshihiro as he bounced around the flying Digimon while looking around at his surroundings. Ryu was actually glad to see Daten enjoying himself. It made sense since he had never seen another Digimon since he met the first Tamer and Digimon group after he was born from the egg. But there was another thought he had as he stared at the darkening sky and a few grey clouds above him.
"The Digital World... To be honest, I'm not exactly trying to be like those shonen heroes I watched since I'm happy playing with Daten and trying to survive school. But I wonder how many adventures I can experience there on a real-world day?" Ryu chuckled. "That might be a bigger question on its own. Especially the number of Digimon we would meet good and evil."

Ryuji nodded before he said "I'm not much of an email user either but I've found it has it's uses but if it keeps your dad at bay it will be just fine. Maybe one day you'll be able to introduce Daten to him. My grandparents already know about Yoshihiro and they adore him seeing him as one of their grandchildren even though he is a small fluffy monster from another world."
Speaking of said digimon, Yoshihiro twisted playfully in mid air his martial arts training clearly showing how athletic the tiny digimon was as he giggled while bouncing around as well. Yoshihiro had always had a playful spirit to him sometimes bordering on non malicious mischief to the point Ryuji would jokingly refer to Yoshihiro as his dark side.
"To be honest I never saw myself as one of those heroes either." Ryuji said also chuckling before he continued "In the beginning I was a bit overwhelmed with the whole Digital World thing. Heck I was even held hostage on my first day there and kidnapped by another digimon months later. The first year was a rough one for me that's for sure but I still think my life is better since I met Yoshihiro."

Ryu's eyes widened as soon as he heard a small snippet of Ryuji's first experience in the Digital World. "Kidnapped?! Yeesh, now Daten and I have to be very careful there. I don't want to be kidnapped the moment we try exploring the Digital World."
Don't worry, Ryu! I'm here to protect you, remember?
Ryu chuckled as he read the message his Digimon left. Even when he was busy playing with Yoshihiro, he was still determined to be by his side when he voiced his concerns.
"I know you will. If we keep up with our training, I know you'll be the best partner and bodyguard ever!" Ryu said to his Tsumemon.
Eventually, after a few minutes of uneventful walking, they found themselves in front of an apartment building.
"Alright, there's our apartment. Thanks for accompanying us and telling us more about the Digital World, Ryuji," Ryu said to the older Tamer.
Hope we can play again soon, Yoshihiro! Daten happily waved to the Calumon. See you soon!

"Yeah it was pretty scary when it happened and I was worried for a moment that Yoshihiro would never of found me." Ryuji said remembering how scared he felt when Buraimon kidnapped him and was planning on selling him into slavery.
"I was equally worried I wouldn't be able to get to Ryuji in time so I was grateful for the help of another human. It was a spirit wielder. If you don't know what that is it's kinda like a tamer only the human channels the power of a spirit of a digimon in order to digivolve." Yoshihiro said before continuing "Fortunately we were able to fight off the Buraimon after I found a digimental which allowed me to armor digivolve." Yoshihiro hadn't ceased playing while talking about what happened.
Soon they made it to Ryu's apartment and after thanking Ryuji the older tamer smiled and said "You're welcome. If you need assistance while there don't hesitate to contact us. We'd be more than happy to help out."
Yoshihiro waved back as well before he said "See you soon too, Daten. Maybe when you are a bit stronger we can spar together. It would be fun to have someone to spar with instead of always fighting a digimon in a life or death situation."

Armor Digivolve? Daten texted while tilting his head.
"Digimental?" Ryu repeated, also confused at what he said. "What's that?"
Whether Ryuji didn't have time to explore it in more detail or not, he knew they didn't have time to learn more about it as Ryu looked and saw one of the lights from one of the apartment windows turned on.
"Yeah, my Dad is already home. Must be an early shift," Ryu guessed. "Guess we'll find out more at the Tamer Net when we have the chance. We'll see you soon, Ryuji-san!"
Bye-bye!
With that, Ryu and Daten left Ryuji and Yoshihiro's side and entered the apartment building to go back to their apartment. While they were unsure if they could see them again soon, Ryu knew this wasn't the last he could see them. Maybe the next time they did, Daten would be able to evolve into his Rookie form and there was a chance they would be in the Digital World.
But for now, they would enjoy some curry with Ryu's father and work on his studies. If he didn't start snoring away from his textbooks, of course...

Both Ryu and Daten seemed confused on what a digimental was. This was understandable seeing as Ryu was a relatively new tamer and it seemed Daten may not have been born in the Digital World so him knowing about things like armor digivolving or digimentals. Just as Yoshihiro was about to open his mouth to explain more Ryu looked at one of the apartment windows which had turned on. Apparently Ryu's father was already home so further discussions of digimentals had to wait for another time. When Ryu and Daten said good bye, Ryuji said "See you later, Ryu, and Daten you take care of him."
"It was fun Daten. Bye bye!" Yoshihiro said waving goodbye to the tamer and digimon duo as they headed inside the apartment.
Turning to leave, Ryuji looked at the tiny digimon on his shoulder who was floating off of him before activating his holosuit and said "We should head home as well, Yoshihiro. We'll facetime Grandma and Grandpa when we get home."
"Sounds fun to me! I love them!" Yoshihiro said with a smile before the two unusual brothers headed back home. Ryuji needed the rest anyway after sparring with Yoshihiro that day.
