"Well then, let's end the lesson right here," a calm voice resonated from a dark classroom. The curtains lifted and the light returned. The one at the front of the class is the substitute literature and drama teacher, Mr. Lux Caldwell. The foreigner looking man smiled and bowed. He just pretty much did a small literature presentation in form of drama. Acting as each roles in the story, he explained the intricacy and the way to read between lines when it comes to japanese literature. Speaking of which, the eccentric teacher is wearing feudal style kimono worn by onmyouji. Daichi thought the teacher is a bit of a weirdo, but... to be this weird is... well, unexpected. Either way, it was quite an engaging and relaxing class to end the day.
"...Oh," suddenly Lux stopped right before he was about to open the door and walked back to the teacher's podium. "....Just in case that you haven't heard, there have been quite some incident happened at school, and you might heard it from circulating rumors. We teachers strongly advises you to not verify the matter yourself. All students should return home immediately if you had no business at school. Should you do have business, make sure that you don't linger and stick together in group. Authorities are dealing with it. Again, don't linger, especially until dusk. Then again... I firmly believe that all club activities are cancelled?"
"All beside baseball and soccer, sir!" a student corrected.
".........Ah," Daichi could have sworn that he saw the teacher's eyes squinted in annoyance. "...Very well. Those who are in that club, please make sure to not wander by your own durig the late afternoon hours. Anyone who have questions about the lesson, please do not hesitate to contact me in the staff room. That is all. Class dismissed."
Daichi gathered his stuff and was about to head for the door when... he felt a tap on his shoulder.
"...Dude, don't grin like that, 'm just gonna say that I'm not interested in dying early, got it?" he joked at his friend Sohma.
"Awww, no fun dude! i'm stuck here with the soccer training! The bouldering club is cancelled for the day, right? At the very least stay just for a bit! They said gotta stuck in a group, yanno?"
"I mean don't you have your teammates in the soccer team? The fellow first years?"
"Eeeh, most of them are super serious about soccer, wanting to gat damn sweet sweet scholarship! I'm just in there for the fun, dude! Well, I don't blame them. I heard a senpai got super accepted into nationals last year and they REALLY got hyped about it, thinking that they could be the next one."
"Oh that's my sister's kouhai I think...."
"Well that doesn't matter! Anyway, I'd be really tired after training so please, pleeeeeeease dude! You gotta help me here! I just want to hang out in WcD later without talking about soccer anymore! I'll even treat you1"
"....WcD is like so cheap, tho, Sohma... Ugh, alright, fine. I guess I'll stick around..."
"That's my guy! Well, you can just wait in the library or something! There will be a lot of people there, right?"
"...Yeah, I guess watching football training can be a bit boring after a while, Just give me a call then?"
"Sure will!"
And so, Daichi moved to the library. Hmmm, rumors... It's definitely very concerning, and it's especially concerning with the mentions of authorities is investigating it... He himself have no interest on the occult however, as he think it's a fool's errand to think of "What ifs" regarding cryptids and those sort.
When he reached the library, he found out that there are still students here. Some that are working on their homework, some that are making presentations, and even some that are haivng group studies. Yes, this place is great... but then he noticed that everyone is sitting in groups. Even ones that looked like they came alone seem to prefer to sit closer to some groups.
As for him.... he probably should just work on his math homework. He approached a table with a girl making sketch while looking at a reference book on scenery.
"Excuse me, do you mind me sitting here?" he asked, pointing at the chair across her.
"Oh, please, go on ahead," she nodded and smiled.
The girl was polite, so he though.
"Oh excuse me, do you happened to, like, going to stay here for a while?" she suddenly asked
"That I am, what's wrong?"
"if you don't mind, would you please tell me once the clock hit five PM? I'm often engrossed in my work you see."
"Oh, are you part of art club?"
"That I am. Oh, my name is Handa Ayame, first year, class C. The characters are flower, field, and finally Iris sanguinea."
"Oh, same, Shiki Daichi- Shi as in four, Ki as in seasons, Daichi for Earth. First year class A."
"Oh, class A huh! No wonder I never really saw you before. Well then, Daichi-kun, it's very nice to meet you."
Immediate first name!? "...N-nice to meet you too, Handa-san."
"Ayame is fine, you know?"
"T-then, Ayame...san?"
The chestnut haired girl smiled and nodded. With no words exchanged between them, they took their time in doing their chosen upon activity. Little did they know, however... things are going to get really bad soon.

"Before the bell rings today, class, I have an important announcement to make," Weston Sparkwood was telling his final class of the day, which just so happened to be filled with a bunch of first-year high school students. The tone in his voice indicated that this would be very serious. "You may have already heard rumors about it, but there is an incident happening at night at the high school. The authorities are already investigating these claims, but until then I deeply must ask that you don't look into it for your own safety, and please go straight home if you don't have any business at the school. All clubs except for baseball and soccer have thus been cancelled."
A loud groan could be heard coming from multiple students, including from Speed himself... or as he's known in school, "Hikaru Ito." He was on the track team, and being the running-lover that he was, he was very disappointed to hear that club was cancelled today. Oh well... even if club was still going on, he still had other plans today that required him to take the day off from track anyways.
The bell then rang, alerting the students that classes were over for the day. "Remember: head straight home today everyone, and I'll see you tomorrow," Weston said as his students packed up their stuff and left the classroom.
"I was hopin' that track would still be going on so I could skip this study session," Speed complained to his brother Psych, known as "Kaoru Ito" in school, an exasperated look on his face. "I don't wanna have to stare at boring books longer than I have to."
"You know as well as I do that our grades are slipping, Speed," Psych told his brother. "Colin, Luke and Bellamy have kindly offered to give us studying tips today, so please pay attention. I really don't want to see you flunk out of school."
Speed's exasperated look only increased thanks to his brother, though it wasn't long before a familiar face walked by them: Johan Walker, a fellow AEGIS agent and a second year student. "Oh, hey there, you two. Are you heading to AEGIS HQ right now?"
"Not today, I'm afraid. We're heading to the library to study and do homework with Colin, Luke and Bellamy."
"So you are..." Johan said, sounding a little bit miffed. "You know, you could've asked me to help you study, since I am number one in my grade."
"I appreciate the offer, but Colin had offered first, so we accepted."
"Besides, you're really condescending when you try to help others learn things," Speed bluntly added. "No offense of course, but yeah, you're a real pain as a tutor."
"Just because you say 'no offense,' it doesn't mean there's no offense," Johan muttered, clutching his fists tight as he willed himself to not snap back at Speed for that remark. "I'll just... leave you to it then. Give Colin my regards." Johan then stomped away, clearly upset after that interaction. Psych crossed his arms and gave a look of disapproval to Speed.
"...what?"
"Did you have to say that to his face? Come on, we need to get to the library."
And with that, the twins made their way to the library. There already seemed to be plenty of students doing homework and group study sessions going on. Thankfully, there was still room for other groups to form. Speed and Psych walked over to an empty table and set their stuff down, simply waiting for Colin and his partners to arrive since they wouldn't have to wait too long anyways.

The last class of the day that day was Geography. Senior student Colin James found that it was one of his favourite subjects if he was honest. Not only because of the interesting subject content, but also because the class teacher, Lise Hamelin was a chosen herself, and accepted that there were holosuited digimon in her class. The subject they were studying today was the significance of Naval power in the human world, and its history.
Even Bellamy paid attention through the initial lecture, and participated in class activities in the second period, mainly because the holosuited Impmon thought that the idea of floating platforms for massive cannons up to 460mm in caliber, firing shells as big as humans was fascinating. Luke of course paid attention regardless, the Elecmon just doing his best as normal in school.
In the last minute summary of today’s lesson, Hamelin-sensei asked the class what were the most important naval ships in history. Bellamy raised his hand first, and was called on.
“I think Dreadnought is, sensei.” he said. “After all, it defined all battleships of that era. You were either a Dreadnought-class, or a Pre-Dreadnought. For the most part.”
“Ah, excellent answer.” Lise said, almost as taken aback as Colin and Luke were that he was taking this class seriously. “Yes, HMS Dreadnought was a defining breakthrough for naval forces of that time. Also, just so you know, you should always give British navy ships the prefix “HMS”, which stands for “His or Her Majesty’s Ship”. As someone from Britain, that’s been a common cultural lesson.”
This made Luke raise his hand, and he was called on next. “Excuse me, sensei, do other navies have prefixes for their ships?” he asked. “I was going to say Yamato next, because it was the biggest battleship made at the time, but would it have a prefix?”
“Great point, Luke. It actually varied between each navy. Some people add prefixes such as IJN – “Imperial Japanese Navy” to Japanese naval ships, but at the time, no prefixes were necessary. Also yes, Yamato was a very impressive force of naval power, having the biggest cannons of any commissioned battleship. 460 millimetres in fact.”
Feeling like he wanted to contribute too, Colin raised his hand and was called on for his chosen ship. “HMS Argus, the first aircraft carrier, sensei?” he suggested.
“Yes, that’s a great answer. Aircraft carriers replaced battleships as important naval capital ships after the Second World War.” Lise replied. She took more answers from the rest of the class before the bell finally sounded, signalling the end of the school day. All three of the trio felt satisfied with the lesson. Lise warned the class that naval power would feature as a question on the final exam, so they should take this opportunity to study on it while it was fresh in their minds, preferably at home, then bade them farewell.
“So, where to first? Home for vidya games?” Bellamy asked his partner and brother.
“Nope, to the library.” Colin said. “We’re helping out Speed and Psych, remember?”
“Oh, right.” Bellamy said, remembering. “Dunno why they feel like they have to come to school, they don’t need to do that…”
“Well, I think it’s great for them.” Luke said as they made their way toward the library. “They live here, so if they wanna learn about this world, that’s great for them. And good on you, Colin for agreeing to help them study, that’s kinda important if they don’t want to be kicked out.”
“Besides, we’re also staying behind to investigate.” Colin added. “AEGIS duties. Some strange business is happening, and we have to make sure it’s not digimon related. And if it is, we have to handle it. It’ll be good to have Speed and Psych as backup if it is.”
“Hmm, okay. Fair point.” Bellamy said, his mood lifted by the prospect of something interesting happening. On their way toward the library, they noticed Johan. Bellamy was about to call out, but he seemed somewhat upset, so they let him by without saying anything, which was easy to do because the corridor was otherwise somewhat crowded. “Wonder what’s up with him?” the Impmon remarked.
“I suppose it’s none of our business.” Colin stated. When he was upset sometimes, he would much rather find somewhere quiet to gather his thoughts than be bothered in busy corridors, and soon get over it.
Eventually they entered the library. And after some searching, they found where Speed and Psych were sitting, recognizing their almost identical holosuits. “Heya, ready for some studying?” Bellamy asked as they approached, taking seats next to them.

Oh, the library is strangely packed! Well, none of his business. It's still about... 3:45 at the moment, so he decided to took his time. Hmnn... WIth calculator and some papers out to count out the formulas, Daichi worked through his problems... it's mostly silent for him, and before long however, he noticed that some time have passed and it's already five in the afternoon. He gently tapped the table, signaling at the girl. She turned her eyes toward the clock and smiled.
"Thank you, Daichi-kun. Well, then, if you have any free time sometimes and the clubs are back to its normal functions, it'll be nice if you could visit the art club."
"Hmn? Why me specifically?"
Ayame pointed at his bag. Ah right, he got a book of nature poking out from it. "I feel like you could give me better insight on nature, considering how intimate you are with it. I'm aiming for realism, but bleding it with colors you see? Well, let's just say if you can help me with this, I'll treat you?"
"...Well, there's no need for that. If you're enthusiastic about capturing the nature, then looking at your at alone would be a nice reward for me."
"Have anyone said that you're such a smooth talker?" Ayame joked "Anyway, I'm heading home. I think you should, too. Just in case."
"Oh I'm going to hang out with a friend after this, so..."
"I see! Well in that case, have fun, ne?"
With that, the girl left... speaking of which, Sohma wouldn't train until six, right? He better remind him that there are incidents and they should go home before it's dusk then. He packed the mostly done homework and headed out to the courtyard, hoping to catch his friend there. At that point the clock shows 5:10.
"Geez, those senpais. Just because I lazed around a bit they suddenly asked me to buy them drinks outta sudden! Dangit, I just want to play for fun... I'm not out for blood like so many of those tryhards!" a boy grumbled as he walked toward the cafeteria. In his grumbling, he failed to notice that the path there was strangely empty. His choice to ignore the signs and the fact that he wasn't paying attention to the teacher's warning was his undoing.... because before long...
"Hng? Wait, huh? I'm not moving forward?"
He noticed that despite his best, he wasn't moving forward at all, it's as if he was walking on spot. Huh!?
"...I got you... your shadow, your half.... your soul...."
"W-wha!?"
"Poor, poor thing. Trapped and tied to a single place, don't you? Why must shadow be tied to an object? Why isn't an object tied to the shadow? ....What happened if the shadow don't exist I wonder..."
Sohma saw his shadow rose from the ground, slowly, slowly, before it... it makes a shape of a beast. One with multiple eyes. It opened its shadowy jaw wide and grabbed a shadow that roughly looked like him... Slowly, slowly, it lowered down the shadow to its gaping maw--
"H-hii... hiiiiiiiiiiiiiyyaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrghhhhhhhhhhhhhh---!!"
Gulp. The shadow was gone, and immediately the boy was knocked out. The scream was muffled but it was probably heard by someone... someone who fortunately was not alone, but unfortunately... was not in team either.
"...What about you? Would you like... to release your shadow from its coil too...?" it asked, voice sweet with malicious intent. Without asking for confirmation however, it attacked... attacked Johan that is.

"Can you believe that jerk, Dokamon?" Johan said to his Digimon companion currently in the V-Pet as Johan walked through the corridors of the school, the Digivice in his hands. It was around 5:20 in the afternoon, as Johan had stuck around as part of his AEGIS duties to look around for any weird sightings at the school related to the incidents. "The nerve of Speed to say something like that... I am not a condescending tutor!"
"As blunt and out of line as Speedramon was... I concur with his overall point," Dokamon said. "You have a tendency to sound superior when talking to others about subjects you are most knowledgeable in. I can see how he would feel quite peeved by you, as one would not appreciate being talked down to."
"Not you too, Dokamon..." Johan said with a sigh, sounding defeated. "I'm not a condescending person in the slightest. Sure, I'm smarter than most and can't stand it when someone doesn't know what they're doing with tech, but that's not being condescending." Before this discussion could continue any further however, a muffled scream was then heard. Immediately Johan went back into secret agent mode as he ran down the hall to try and find the source of the screaming, which was coming from nearby the cafeteria. And oh boy, did he ever find it... Johan froze as he looked up at this creature with a thousand eyes. He couldn't make heads or tails of what it actually was, but he knew right from the start that it was responsible for the knocked out student. "What are you doing?!" Johan angrily asked as he got into an action-ready stance, expecting this not to go well. That foresight paid off when the Digimon adamantly expressed that whatever it did to that kid, it was going to do to Johan. The second year student leapt out of the way, doing a roll before getting back on his feet and pulling his Digivice back out. "Dokamon, realize!"
A bright beam shot out of Johan's Digivice, forming itself into a small blue robotic Digimon with a black shirt, green eyes and tail. While he didn't show it, he felt just as uneasy by what he was looking at as Johan was. "A Shademon... this should not be a problem for us."
"Let's get him, Dokamon! Dokkan Punch!"
Before all of that was happening, however, Speed and Psych would look up to see Colin, Luke and Bellamy greet them as they sat down at the table, with Bellamy asking the twins if they were ready to study. "Of course we are," Psych replied before facing Colin. "I cannot thank you enough for agreeing to help us with our schoolwork. It was a lot more taxing than I originally planned, I'm ashamed to admit."
"Can we just get this over with?" Speed said, sounding like he didn't want to be there. Of course, it wasn't because of the company he was with, as he really liked Colin and his twin partners. It was purely just Speed being difficult about the whole matter of studying.
"It might be best to get the homework out of the way first," Psych suggested. "Unless there's a better way to start, of course."
And so, the group would spend the next two or so hours in the library, working through their assignments and studying subjects that they were falling behind in. Undoubtedly, Psych would learn plenty of studying techniques from their AEGIS companions that would be handy to use later when he made Speed sit down to study with him. And of course, Speed tried to weasel out of the study session multiple times with different schemes each time, all of which failing due to one of his friends catching on. Five-twenty PM was rolling around now, and all the homework had been successfully completed which was followed by review of the material they needed help with. "I believe right here is a good spot to call it a day," Psych said as he closed his book, noticing how late it was getting. "Oh Homeostasis, finally," Speed quietly cheered as he stretched his arms in his seat. "All that studying made me hungry. Why don't we stop at WcDonald's on the way home, bro?"
"I have no objections to that," Psych said with a smile before turning to their friends. "Would you care to join us? It'll be on us, to thank you for helping us today."
Suddenly a phone started ringing, one with the "Escape from the City" tune as the ringtone. Obviously, it was Speed's phone that was ringing. He picked it up and noticed that it was actually Johan calling him. He took a deep breath and hit answer, putting the phone up to his ear. "Yo, Johan. Look, about today-"
"Please tell me Colin's still there with you!" Johan's voice coming through the phone was loud enough for Psych, Colin, Luke, and Bellamy to all hear.
Speed was caught off guard by Johan's scared tone of voice. "Y-Yeah, we just finished up with studying, what's going on?"
"The five of you need to get all the students out of here now! That incident that the teachers were talking about- it's a Digimon, and it's chasing after me as we speak!"
Speed's eyes widened as he shot out of his seat. "What?! I thought that was only happening at night!"
"Not anymore! We tried fighting it but it's so powerful... it did something to this kid by the cafeteria, and it did the same thing to Dokamon, they're both unconscious and I don't know what happened! It was like this thing took their... their..."
"Took their what? Johan, what did it take?!"
"I-I can't move! I'm running but I still can't... oh... oh my god... n- AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUGH!"
The call cut off right then and there. Speed stood there for a few moments with an expression of terror present on his face, and Psych's expression was no different. There was only one thing that Speed could even say after hearing what happened on the other end. "We need to book it to the cafeteria! Now!"

When they were seated at the table in the library, Luke agreed that it would be best to get their most urgent homework out of the way. “That’s a big part of school life after all, assigning priorities.” he explained. And so would spend the first part of their study session helping them along with their works due soonest. Colin and Bellamy also helped out whenever appropriate, Bellamy often chiming in with his brother to make a mathematical equation more applicable to them, or Colin making an explanation more interesting, since Luke often got too caught up in the theory and fascination of what he was reading. After they had spent a couple of hours of study, that seemed a good opportunity to wrap up, since even Luke was getting a bit tired of the session. Colin had reached that half an hour ago, Bellamy an hour. As they were packing away their things, Speed received a phone call. Colin and his partners finished packing away their things as they turned and saw with worry that this was an emergency occurring. The trio could hear the scream on the other end. This seemed serious. Colin however took a deep breath. First, he turned to Bellamy. “Can you get Gaz here as soon as possible to protect this place? I’m gonna lock the library down.” he muttered to his partner. “Okay, well, I hope so…” Bellamy said. “I’ll need your D-Terminal to get to her though.” Colin gave it to him, then took a deep breath and approached the librarian, who seemed a little concerned with how they were behaving. Colin mustered as much gravitas as he could to be professional about this and spoke to her in quiet urgency. “Madam Librarian, I’m afraid that I’ve just been informed there’s a gas leak outside, and nobody is permitted to leave the premises.” he said. He held up his AEGIS Identification card as a means to back up what authority he had, which thankfully indicated that he was aged 18 and thus of adult age to act on matters like this. Thankfully once the librarian caught onto this, she quickly cooperated. “Oh, of course. I’ll make sure to let everyone know that.” she said. Also this was the opportunity for Luke, Bellamy, Speed and Psych to slip out while her attention was diverted. By the time Colin also left the room, there was another girl that had just entered the library. “Um, excuse me…” the librarian said to her, but she took a seat and nodded. “Gas leak, I know, sensei. I was told to head to the library for safety.” she replied. The librarian supposed that was all in order, and would tell all remaining students of the situation, so they could tell their parents why they couldn’t leave the premises just yet.
Following that, Colin led the four holosuited digimon to the cafeteria. On the way, Colin spoke to his elder sister Sophie through their commlink, establishing that there was an issue at hand and that Johan and Dokamon, among others, were likely at risk here. ”Okay, loud and clear. I’ll do what I can to isolate civilians from the situation.” Sophie replied. ”You should be safe to deactivate your holosuits for now. Also evolve your partners to Adult, we can’t afford to be taken by surprise here, considering that Johan and Dokamon seemed to be compromised so quickly.”“...alright, Sophie, if you say it’s all clear…” Colin replied, then took a deep breath. This really was a stressful situation, his own school, having to have his digimon ready for combat in its corridors. Still though, these were his orders, so he obeyed them. “Luke, Bells, get ready, we gotta head into this as Champions.” he said. “You too, Speed and Psych. Get ready for combat. Sophie’s doing what she can to clear the floor of innocents, but we have to be prepared for some that remain.”When the all-clear was given, Luke and Bellamy deactivated their holosuits, and Colin activated his digivice, a sangria colored aura rushing through his hand as he pressed it. “Digisoul… charge!” he cried, and twin blasts of light enveloped his Elecmon and Impmon partners. “Elecmon digivolve to… Teslamon!”“Impmon digivolve to… Flawizarmon!”Both digimon were almost as tall as Colin here, Luke now equipped with leather armor and an electric spear, while Bellamy was equipped with a magician’s outfit and twin matchstick wands. Now hopefully they would be ready for whatever awaited for them in the cafeteria.

"Hmn? Takizawa? Takizawa... I think some of the third grade senpai was a bit annoyed that he just playing casually today even though core team selection is soon and well, I think he got sent to buy some drinks..." a second class senior told Daichi.
"And so he haven't returned? Since how long?"
"I believe about twenty minu--- OI, WAIT!"
Before the senpai had anything more to say, Daichi instead bolted to the direction of the cafeteria. It should be close, he thought... and he hoped that the guy did not do anything stupid like dilly dallying... or he sure hope that it was the case. There was an attack and--- but before Daichi could reach the spot, he saw... he saw something terrifying. So terrifying that he had to doublecheck whether he's dreaming or not. A shadowy figure, lifting a teenage that seems to be... older? Or something like that? up... wait no, that... that's not a teenager. A shadow? The monster then swallowed it whole, and the source-- a teenage on the floor, screamed before he passed--- god, he didn't pass away did he!? There's a mascot-like creature on the ground, and Sohma... Oh Go--
"What's this... another prey...? Would you like... would you like to also free your shadow from its bindings? Be free, yes, be free... together... why isn't there equals in physicals and shadow?"
Daichi froze... no, he did not exactly froze. It's more like he couldn't move.... Fuck... fuck! His hand, his shadow's hand, the monster grabbed it!
"I got it... I got your shadow, and now I will libera--"
A ball of light shoots forth, between the human and the Digimon.
"RUN, SHIKI!"
Daichi saw that his shadow's arm got severed. His left arm gone limp. but he could move now! Immediately he jumped backward several times. More balls of light bombarded the area, causing the Shademon to hiss.
"A king without power, trying to get in my way... unforgivable, unforgiveable!"
"You're the one that I cannot forgive! You will return my students' shadows, foul creature!"
Hikaru cannot evolve, but he could at least bombard the entire floor of cafeteria with light, causing the Shademon to hiss in pain. The purple furred dragon spreads his wings in defiance. As if he's calculating it, he purposely stood in where light is directly above him, preventing his shadow to extend.
"Hateful... hatefuuuulll!!" the Shademon roared in annoyance as it aimed to hit Hikaru with its own laser attack. However, the king could dodge the attack quite easily as his light is still blinding the Shademon's eyes. He cannot keep this battle of attrition... Still!
"Tsk, guests..." Shademon clicked its tongue. "You are lucky for the day, little king... next time, it will be your shadow that I take!"
Before any of the AEGIS group could reach it, the Shademon melted into nearest shadow and escaped.
"...Tsk... I curse my weakness..." Hikaru mused. Now.... How to explain this... to an unwitting passerby...? The king's red eyes affixed at Daichi. But that does not matter for the meantime. "....Colin," Hikaru would address the incoming officer "call ambulance. All of you, you included, Shiki-kun, meet me at my office."
"...Wait... a-are you Lux-sensei?"
"This is not the time nor the place. Quickly now," Hikaru pushed..

It felt as if the air went still once the group heard Johan screaming from Speed's phone. Whatever was going on was definitely deemed serious, as even Bellamy wasn't cracking any jokes by this point. Speed and Psych in particular were unsure how to handle things aside from obviously going to the cafeteria, so they both looked towards their superior, Colin, with worried expressions plastered on their faces. Thankfully, Colin knew just what to do.
After giving his D-Terminal to Bellamy so he could contact his daughter Gaz, Colin went up to the librarian and explained that there was a gas leak, giving everyone an excuse to stay where they were. Thankfully, this provided the others a chance to sneak out while the librarian was distracted, with Colin joining along soon after.
As they were running down the corridors, Colin was filling Sophie in on what happened while Speed couldn't help but let his imagination run wild. What horrible thing happened to Johan? And why did it have to happen after Speed was so rude to him before? Was it his fault that Johan was taken out like that? Questions and doubts like that flooded Speed's mind, mostly due to the uncertainty of everything. Colin would then tell the others to deactivate their holosuits, stating that they had to head into this as Champion levels.
"No need to tell us twice," Speed said as he and Psych deactivated their holosuits, revealing their true forms to be Flamedramon-esque Digimon. Normally Speed would dash ahead alone and scout out the situation, but he figured that doing that this time would've been a bad idea, considering what happened to Johan and Dokamon. Still, he would run alongside Colin as they headed towards the cafeteria, with Psych floating next to Luke and Bellamy.
I'm worried about Johan, too, Psych would telepathically say to Speed alone, now being able to read minds again. But we must remain focused for the meantime.
The group would reach the cafeteria shortly after the creature in question made its escape. Speed, however, was able to spot something melt into the shadows as they arrived. "What in the hell-?" Speed muttered before actually taking a look at the scene in question. There was an exquisite-looking Dorumon, a thirteen year old who looked like he had just seen some shit, and three unconscious bodies, two of which belonging to Johan and Dokamon.
"Johan!"
"Dokamon!"
Speed and Psych would go over to their respective co-worker and look down at them, presumably while Colin, Luke and/or Bellamy checked on the other unconscious human. Both of them were knocked out cold, and Speed felt like his stomach was pushed off of a cliff with a weight tied around it. "What happened- are they okay?!"
"I can still sense life from all three of them, they're simply unconscious." But then Psych would notice something... off. He conjured up a ball of psychic light in his claw before hovering it over each of the three victims. "Colin, Speed, look at this... none of them are casting a shadow at all, despite the fact that the rest of us are."
The Dorumon in question, who was revealed to be none other than Lux-sensei, ushered Colin and the others to his office, after telling them to call an ambulance. Now was of course not the time to react to their teacher being KING HIKARU, of course, so Psych would take to using his telekinesis to lift up Dokamon. "An ambulance will not be useful for Dokamon, considering he is a Digimon, so he should come with us for the time being. I believe someone should stay with the other two until the ambulance arrives."
Once everything was sorted out, Speed and Psych (and Dokamon) would meet up with Hikaru in his office, where they were definitely wanting for answers. "Your Majesty, what are you doing in a high school? And more importantly, what was that thing that just attacked Johan and Dokamon like that?!" Speed's head was going at a million miles an hour, and he just needed answers at this point.

Colin slowed down as he saw what was in front of them. The unconscious bodies of Johan, Dokamon and another he wasn’t familiar with. But his attention was quickly drawn to Hikaru, and given that his holosuit was lowered, he figured that he knew what was going on. Hikaru told them to head to his office.
“Right, we’ll do that.” Colin said, telling Sophie what he had just told.
”Okay, we hear you. We’ll handle the ambulance call, you stick with Hikaru, we can’t afford to lose any time over this.” Sophie replied. Colin was confident she would have the staff at AEGIS HQ handle the logistics of the ambulance call. Meanwhile, he, Luke and Bellamy followed Hikaru to his office.
By now it seemed that the words ‘gas leak’ had peacefully cleared the school halls of any further stragglers. Hopefully they had either evacuated or gathered in the library, under Gaz’s protection. Alright, this would do for now, hopefully.
Psych had earlier pointed out that the victims seemed to have no shadows. All three of them had momentarily checked their own, and yes, they were still there, opposite the light that was casting them. But they were not there for the victims. This seemingly supernatural element made Colin rather the more worried, but he steeled himself. He was pretty much an adult now, and he had to stay strong. Especially with the younger boy there present. Colin so far caught that his name was Shiki, but given that he looked like he was still in middle school, they probably hadn’t met before. Still, he was present at the location of interest, so he didn’t mind having him nearby as they entered Hikaru’s office.
“So, I’m guessing this is a digimon emergency, given what we’ve seen so far.” Colin summarized. By now the situation was too serious to keep up the veil of secrecy. Either way, this kid Shiki was involved too.
“Hopefully by now all the stragglers should be gathered in the library.” Bellamy added. “My daughter Gaz should be able to look after them there until the danger’s passed.”
Luke nodded, then turned with a worried look to Hikaru. “So, what can you tell us about the situation, Hikaru?” he asked, trying to keep calm. Still though, the suddeness and urgency of the situation made him remain tense and on alert. “Oh, and will the ambulance crews be safe to pick up the knocked out victims? We don’t want them taken out too...”

Daichi had no idea what's going on. All that he remembered was the numb feeling on his left arm and how he was ushered quickly to the small office... It's not even an infirmary but there's a bed there, which makes him wonder if this is some normal occassion. The fluffy dragon puts on a brooch or sort, and before he knew it, the figure of the teacher he usually knew stood in front of him.
"....One question at a time," Lux-sensei amusedly reminded, just like how he would normally in class. He pulled his prized office chair and sat on it. "Before that, have a seat, and if you need it, go on ahead and pick some bottled tea from the fridge over there," he pointed at the mini fridge. "I'm sure what happened before shocked you to your core."
The question about what he's doing in school would make Hikaru shrug. "This school is my partner's alma mater. I don't think there's anything that strange that I'm here... by that I mean, this school is very active with Digimon and Digitally Aware students... don't you think having someone on the side of administrative would smoothen your transition?"
"...Um... Sir, are you--"
"Not a human? No. No I'm not. Japanese? I'm definitely as local as you can be."
"...That's hard to believe."
Hikaru chuckled, "When your teacher is a beast dragon you should just take whatever I say at face value, Shiki-kun. There is no merit in lying to you..." his eyes trailed to the boy's limp arm. "...Not after what happened."
He turned his attention to Colin next. "Yes, it's a Digital Emergency. I had my suspicion, and my plan was to wait for a backup as I could not reach higher stage by myself. Yuuki is around of course, but college section is far from here, and they did not announce any emergencies over there..."
Closed space huh. "Just in case, please tell Gaz to gather them in one space. That Digimon have a pattern... of only attacking when there is less than three people in one place at a time. However, bookshelves could be isolating, the same with being on different floor."
Finally to Luke "Should be. Or at least I hope they didn't come with just two people... however, considering the Digimon just ate three people's worth of shadow, then... I think it will need time to digest them. From what I know, it's... acting like a snake."
But enough of that. What can he tell?
"Shiki-kun, do you mind keeping your questions to yourself for the moment? Just until I'm done explaining."
"Oh wha-? Oh! Uh, yeah, sure..."
"Appreciate it." Hikaru took a file out laid it on the table. "What you're dealig with is not just a mere Shademon. It IS Shademon, but... for some strange reason, like some Digimons we have encountered lately... these Digimons seem to have powers that defies their power level. Its battle prowess is STILL of that level, but... there's just SOMETHING that makes them different. I suspect that there's some reason to it... but we don't have much clue at the moment. This subject is too dangerous to be studied. It's like... anomaly of a Digimon.
So from what I know, at least from talkig with the police and the EMT is that attacks usually happened at night. I assume that more shade makes it stronger, as you might have seen that I bombared the cafeteria corridor with blinding light. It jumps from shadow to shadow, which is... I think is regular for Eyesmon and Shademon. However there comes the anomaly that I told you before."
Hikaru pointed at Daichi's arm.
"....It ate shadow, which... shouldn't be part of its arsenal. It seems that it also have a quality where if your shadow is held on place by it, you won't be able to move... and not to mention, the moment you got your shadow eaten..."
"The part eaten... will be limp?"
"Yes. There have been reports of lethargic feeling, and... fading of one's legs. Do you know that in many japanese occult rumors that... ghosts doesn't have clear legs? ...Here is where I'm very worried but," Hikaru sent a sideway glance at Dokamon. ".....Basically, if your legs gone truly transparent, you might actually die."
"W-wait, Sensei! Are you saying that all these occult things are real!?"
"Shiki-kun, we're beings that are called Digimon, you see. We're originated from a world parallel to this one called Digital World. We have been with you since time immemorial. Sometimes you could even question whether we and yokai are one and the same. However, as the age changes, so does the form that we assume... Now, we're pretty much connected to data and internet. So if you ask me.... "are occult things real?" yes and no. Some are just rumors, but some rumors have basis to it."
"T-then, what's going to happen to my arm!?"
"Calm down. I know it's hard to, but calm down."
He returned to the conversation before. "From what I know, the speed of the legs turning fully transparent is... quite slow... but from what I can see from this guy here," he pointed his thumb at Dokamon "...I'm afraid that Shademon is getting stronger. The process is getting more and more rapid. That's why... I suspect, that it no longer ate shadow simply for sustenance but instead..."
Hikaru slides another paper, showing Eyesmon "...trying to slide evolve... I think you understand where I'm going with this, right? Considering Eyesmon... have Scatter Mode. That is why, we must immediately move. Unfortunately, we'll most likely need to terminate it. This situation is grave, and it's clear that this Digimon enjoys the fear it'si nflicting.
....Now at this point, do you have any question?"

Post by Speed & Psych on Sept 22, 2022 23:27:08 GMT
"Welcome to the circus, kid," Speed said to Daichi when it was clear that the poor kid was already too involved with whatever was going on to back out now. The way he said it was less jovial than normal; Speed really was too concerned about whatever was happening right now to be his usual comedic self.
He and then Psych followed Hikaru to his office, where he seemed to just have a bed inside. A bit concerning but hey, it was still a place to put Dokamon down for the time being, who had still not recovered fully. Even though Hikaru had put his holosuit back on, Speed and Psych didn't see a reason to turn theirs back on at the moment, so they just remained in Digimon form for the time being. At Hikaru's offer, they each would grab a bottle of iced tea each.
"I saw it, before it disappeared," Speed told Colin when he guessed that this was a Digimon emergency. "I didn't get a good look at it, but I saw something disappear into the shadows right as we got there." Speed looked over at Dokamon as he mentally slapped himself for not being able to get there faster. When Hikaru mentioned his plan, Speed couldn't help but get a bit snippy. "Yeah, your plan worked out real great there, Your Highness."
"Speed, be respectful," Psych scolded his brother. "I know this is an unprecedented situation, but that is no way for an agent like yourself to be behaving."
Hikaru revealed that not only did this creature attack groups in less of three, but he also revealed that this thing ate three people's worth of shadows. Speed's and Psych's eyes widened at the revelation as Hikaru placed a file in front of the group, detailing what was known about this Digimon at the moment. It was a Shademon, of course, but Hikaru mentioned that this Shademon had powers that defied its own level, like some form of anomaly. "An anomaly? Do you mean like myself and my brother?" Psych asked, since their own abilities defied those of their level as well, with Speed's super speed and Psych's psychic powers.
This thing did use to attack at night, and he showcased that it ate shadows as he referred to Daichi's arm, which now lacked a shadow just like the others. And not only that, but it could grab onto the shadows of others and prevent them from moving. "That's how Johan and Dokamon were caught off guard... they were using only the knowledge of Shademons they had before, and by the time they realized this..." Psych looked over at Dokamon. "Dokamon's shadow had been eaten, and then soon after Johan met the same fate."
Then Hikaru mentioned the scary part... those affected would be reporting lethargic feelings, and their legs would be fading away. Sure enough, Dokamon's toes were in the middle of fading as the group spoke. Hikaru mentioned that those afflicted like this might actually die, and Speed's digicore skipped a beat. "D-Die?" This all got so heavy for Speed so fast... were Johan and Dokamon truly going to die?
Hikaru didn't make things much better with the last of the report. The speed of which the victims would die was much sooner, thanks to how much faster Dokamon's legs were fading. Shademon wasn't feeding off of shadow for sustenance, but to be able to slide evolve into Eyesmon. And since Eyesmon had a Scatter Mode... "If this thing evolves, it could attack most of Shibuya at once...!"
At this point, Dokamon would begin to slowly open his eyes. His vision was fuzzy... that was wrong. And his energy wasn't there. He barely had enough energy to turn his head around. He could hear talking, but he couldn't make out the words. He couldn't even remember what had happened just minutes ago... he was walking with Johan, and now he was here. "...Johan..."
Speed gasped. "Dokamon!" The blue drake rushed over to the bed and knelt down. "How... how are you feeling?"
"Feel like... nothing..." Dokamon said in a lazy, almost apathetic tone. His eyes were barely even open. "Fading... what is the status... of Johan?"
"He's being taken to the hospital... he's going to be alright, Dokamon. I promise."
Dokamon simply closed his eyes again, but he didn't immediately re-open them. It seemed as if he went back to sleep. Speed's hands started shaking as he was failing to contain his anger. "...how long do we have, do you think, Hikaru? Until Johan and Dokamon die?"

As they entered Lux’s office, the Dorumon offered them some tea as he reactivated his holosuit.
“Okay, I’ll take that offer, thanks.” Bellamy said, the Flawizarmon taking out a bottle of iced tea. He honestly didn’t mind what flavor it was, he was too concerned over the shadow situation here. Colin meanwhile took a seat as offered.
“I’ll keep an eye on the hallway.” Luke said, holding his tesla spear upright as he stood guard at the door.
Colin meanwhile was glad to see that this Shiki student seemed to be taking all this in his stride. He supposed it would only be polite to introduce himself too. At an appropriate moment, he would offer a brief introduction. “Hello there. I’m Colin James, senior year. Me and my partners are somewhat involved in this situation and we’re here to do our best to make everyone right again.”
Hikaru then advised that they keep everyone in the same space, since this… ‘entity’ only seemed capable of targeting three people at the same time. In the library, the bookshelves may isolate them in pockets of less than that.
“Okay, tellin’ Gaz that.” Bellamy said, after taking a swig of the iced tea, proceeding to signal the details to Gaz. He was grateful to see the simple ‘OK’ in reply, he trusted his daughter to keep everyone safe in the library.
Hopefully for now it seemed the ambulance crews were safe. There were two victims here, and from what Colin knew, paramedics operated in teams of two, so with two victims, there would be four present to take care of those that needed it. More than what this ‘shadow’ creature could handle at once.
With that, Colin, Luke and Bellamy listened to Hikaru’s explanation of the Shademon. It was an anomaly, which made it particularly dangerous. Colin felt he had to breathe deeply to keep control, but still, he fidgeted with his hands in nervousness. Bellamy noticed and stood behind him, gripping his shoulder gently as a gesture of comfort. This helped. While Colin had encountered dangers as strong as this before, he had not encountered something like this in the human world yet. As a Deputy leader of AEGIS, it was his duty to solve this.
“So, it eats shadow…” Colin repeated quietly. Yes, he had seen the animations involving shadows with supernatural powers, like Peter Pan and The Princess and the Frog. This was a uniquely terrifying situation, ordinarily one never thought of the use of their own shadow in combat. It was simply there, the result of their own body blocking out the light. And it seemed to be getting stronger by this method. If it got too strong, then, the consequences would be dire.
“Speed, stay professional.” Colin said sharply to the drake digimon. Hikaru was here to help them, and he would not tolerate that level of disrespect to him.
Thankfully Speed turned his attention to Dokamon’s wellbeing, and asked what their time limit was. Colin would rather not know, but supposed he had to. A fellow AEGIS agent had been taken down by this, and he knew that Sophie was awaiting the answer too.
Bellamy meanwhile caught on to the fact that light was the key here. That was something that relieved him. “If it’s light you need, you’ve got it with us. My fire and Luke’s lightning cast a lot of that.”
“Yeah, Bells, but it’s not that simple.” Colin said, aiming to demonstrate. “Hik- I mean, Lux-sensei, may I please borrow this for a demonstration?” he asked, picking up his desk lamp. “See here. If the light is between two things that cast a shadow, then obviously they can’t meet. But if the light is allowed to form at either side of them, then their shadows merge.” he demonstrated by moving the light between two tall objects that were on Hikaru’s desk, showing how their shadows would touch if the light went behind them.
“...that means we have to be pretty careful about how we cast light then.” Bellamy concluded, rubbing his chin seriously. “You got that, Luke?” he asked his brother.
“Yeah, I do.” Luke said, the Teslamon frowning. They would have to take care to not let light shine behind them. Therefore to counter this threat, they would have to be very careful of where the light flashes of their attacks would be directed for when they confronted this Shademon. "That also means we should take note of the location of every light switch of every room we enter. It'll be sunset soon, so we'd also have to make use of every light source we can."
"Also you guys need to take care of where you attack." Colin added to his partners. "If we start a fire, we'll set off the alarms and sprinklers, and that'll make things worse if we act carelessly."

"A-ah, uh, Shiki Daichi, first year middle school," Daichi returned the introduction. "I... I'm sorry, I think I'm out of my depth."
"Don't worry," Hikaru tried to cheer him up. "This time around the situation is unprecedented, I think you did well for someone who was completely out of his depth."
"E-er, Sensei, is that meant to be a praise?"
"It is, take it is as it is."
Woah that snippiness. Considering how AEGIS and KIZNA is allied, that sudden snippiness would cause a crack in relationship for sure. Thankfully Colin quickly reprimanded the Digimon. "....Snippiness aside, you guys were my plan, you know?" Hikaru commented. "I was going to take care of my preparation and call you guys because this is beyond my jurisdiction. I thought nightfall would be the time to do it, or at least evening. I had no idea that by being stronger it would operate even earlier than before. My plan was to lay low because it had no idea that I, a light Digimon, is around."
"....I see, so basically..."
"Indeed, unfortunately, the ambush is now failed."
"I-I'm sorry."
"No. no, Shiki-kun, I don't meant it as saying that it's your fault. I'm saying that... As long as I'm around, the Shademon will be VERY careful. Hence unfortunately... I could not assist you. Nor I have any sort tools that might help, I don't thi--"
"Then, do you have matchbox and some sort of adhesive tapes? Oh, and... I think I'll need a plier and scissor."
"Huh? W-well, I do, but...?"
"May I have like... four matchboxes?"
"Eh!? W-well... sure I guess... I think I got them over here..." he took out several matchboxes and... To his surprise, Daichi began to crush the head of the matchboxes one by one. His arm is still a bit limp, but he's trying his hardest.
"Sensei, if there are more pliers can I ask you to also do this?"
"Eh!? O-OK, I don't really get what you're trying to do here, but..."
With each box, Daichi removed one match each, then tied the side part of the matchbox around the nub of the matchbox. He then used a carton to work as the container, and sealing the bottom with the same material. He put the match on the middle and finally put the match dusts around it.
"....Uh, excuse me," he's seem trying to address Bellamy. "Is it true that you could use fire? In that case, would you later lit this on fire? This is a handmade flare basically..."
"...Flare! Of course!" Hikaru finally understood what's going on. "Shiki-kun, you're unexpectedly handy, huh."
"Ah... no, uh, this is my hobby I guess," Daichi embarrasedly scratches the back of his neck. "W-well, that's all I can do to help..."
"Not exactly... do you feel like... your arm had a tugging feeling somewhere?"
"...Huh? That's not some sort of phantom pain?"
"No, not exactly. It's two parts severed wanting to be reunited... As for your question," he looked at Speed. ".........I say this guy have less than four days. Also, flares might indeed cause a sprinkler to break out but... at that time I think... It might help Luke more, if you're of course ready for some little risky maneuver?"
"What about using rubber jackets?" Daichi asked.
"I think it would do little to help, Shiki-kun. Luke's electricity is most likely even stronger than normal lightning. Which means the best way to do it is when Luke is alone with that Shademon. And that is utterly risky. But should we able to pull it..."
"Then it's probably a guaranteed win, is it?"
"...I do not like the tone you said that, Shiki-kun. I do understand that you're worried about your friend, but do not act foolishly. You're not yet experienced for such maneuver."

Post by Speed & Psych on Sept 25, 2022 19:06:48 GMT
"I'm Speed, and that's my twin brother Psych," Speed would say to Daichi, continuing the introductions. "Though at school, our names are Hikaru and Kaoru Ito, both first year high schoolers... heh, probably gonna be awkward that we're both named Hikaru though, huh?" Two Hikarus in one spot, what were the odds of that? Psych and Colin both rightfully reprimanded Speed for getting snippy with Hikaru as he was trying to help them. The Speedramon sighed. "I didn't mean it like that, Hikaru. I'm just so angry that I let something like this happen, and... I dunno, I shoulda just kept my mouth shut. I'm sorry."
"We're well aware of the alliance between AEGIS and KIZNA, and the last thing we would want to do is shatter that relationship over some snippiness," Psych said, before turning towards Speed. He could tell Speed was feeling worse about Johan's condition than he normally would, as he believed it was his big mouth that got Johan to not be at his A-Game against Shademon.
But they still had a situation to deal with: the anomaly Shademon. Hikaru explained that he was planning to call for AEGIS's help later tonight, when he assumed the attacks would begin, having no idea it would strike even earlier than it already had. Now that Shademon knows that Hikaru is here, the Dorumon would most likely not be of any help while he is still around, so the group would have to come up with their own sources of light to prevent their shadows from being used against them. The twins watched Colin's demonstration of light with the desk lamp closely, and they both understood what he was trying to say about their shadows. Along with memorizing locations of light switches and being careful where the attacks go to not set off alarms or sprinklers, it was going to be a battle of strategy more than sheer power.
"So the lights must be in front of us at all times, is what I am guessing," Psych theorized. "If what Hikaru says is true, then this Digimon really only has the battle capability of a Champion level Digimon. It is merely this one ability that is causing it to be more dangerous than it normally would be. If we're careful, then we'll have a higher chance of success."
But then Daichi seemed to have some sort of idea, as shown by the way he unexpectedly asked for a bunch of matchboxes and some pliers. Speed and Psych watched with curiosity as Daichi worked, cutting up the empty matchboxes and sealing it all up. Psych was able to read Daichi's mind, so he understood what Daichi was trying to do. Speed, however, was as confused as everyone else. "I see..."
"Huh? See what?"
Once Daichi was done, he revealed that he had basically made a handmade flare and asked Bellamy to light it later. "Wait, you can just make those?" Speed asked, as he was very impressed by Daichi here. As for Speed's question... four days until Johan and Dokamon died, it seemed. "Four days, huh..." Speed was silent for a few moments before he was able to regain his signature grin. "With a plan like this, we'll be able to save them in two, tops."
"Take caution, Speed."
"Yeah, I know, I'm not gonna go barging in. I promise."
"Sophie just gave me the run-down on what's going on," Zero's voice could be heard through the AEGIS commlinks, sounding much more serious than his usual snarky tone of voice. "PLEASE tell me that Johan and Dokamon are okay!"
"Zero... I truly am sorry. Dokamon's here with us, but he is not in a right state of mind. It's estimated that they have four days until it's too late for them."
"Dammit... DAMMIT!" This wasn't Zero's usual behavior... he's usually more calm than this. Was it because it was specifically Johan and Dokamon's lives on the line that he was more on edge than usual? "Sorry about that... just do what you need to do to stop this guy. Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help you all out, alright?"

Colin and his partners listened as Hikaru explained that his plan was for them to intervene in time. And as little as they knew about his circumstances, they understood. In fact they felt a little flattered that them appearing in time was part of a plan forumulated by the at times enigmatic digimon, and that they had succeeded for the time being.
Thankfully Speed apologized for his outburst, and none of the three thought any more on the subject, hoping he would remain cool headed from here on out.
They remained silent as Hikaru revealed that his aim was to act later in the evening to deal with the shadows, but alas, that didn’t turn out as planned.
The three of them were also impressed when Daichi improvised something that could very much be useful for this situation. As he worked, Colin couldn’t remain idle.
“Do you need help here, Shiki-kun?” he asked, gently, offering to help, given that he only seemed to have full function in one arm. If accepted, he would do what he could to help make the devices as intended.
“Ahh, makeshift flares, brilliant!” Luke exclaimed when he figured out what they were doing. Daichi then asked Bellamy if he could ignite them when the time came. The Flawizarmon nodded.
“Sure I can. Just these are one-shots, so gotta let me know beforehand when I gotta light them up.” he said. “I don’t wanna waste stuff like these on a mission this important. Lives are at stake here.”
Following that, the conversation turned to how much time they had left. Four days. Well, that was better news than expected, but still, it was a time limit, and they would have to solve this problem immediately, otherwise further problems would arise. A library full of innocents was testament to that.
Hikaru then mentioned that he had an idea involving the sprinklers and Luke. And from those clues, Luke had an idea of what was needed here. Lightning flash on the floor, no chance for shadows to hurt anyone further, and also defeat the enemy if struck true. But of course, it wouldn’t be as simple as that. Lightning worked in many uncontrollable ways.
Speed mentioned that they should be able to save them in at least two days. That wasn’t enough for Colin though. “We’ll save them tonight.” he declared, his face a slate of seriousness. “As a deputy leader of AEGIS I can’t tolerate this situation lasting any further than today. We’ll do what we can and more to rectify this situation."
Meanwhile in the AEGIS HQ, Sophie was very much of the same opinion, hence why she alerted everyone to be at their stations, including Zero, briefing him of the situation. And with Gaz guarding the library, that meant pretty much everyone was on board. “You have full support from AEGIS HQ too. Lantis will be available as Perfect level backup if needed.” she informed the rest. Unfortunately Enkidu was still at his post in the digital world so he would not be available here, but hopefully the forces they had available would be enough.
To the task at hand meanwhile, Luke turned to Hikaru. “So, Lux-sensei. I think I have an idea of what you’re suggesting. Sprinklers and electricity to create flashes that eliminate continuous shadows. I like that idea, but it’s going to be pretty chaotic for us to make such a situation happen. Do you have any plans on what we should do to make it so?”
