"That is wrong. It's harder than that," Hikaru answered. "The light must be BETWEEN you two, and you have to remember... shadow moves faster than light. Which means places which would cast shadow all the time like corridor is the worst thing you could be for this sort of situation. It's not big enough for you to react and there are too many shadows. So the most logical step is to be together always... at least in team of two. Bellamy, I think you should go with Shiki-kun. he got the compass and the flares. The question is whether Luke would be alright. I guess... Speed can block incoming attack at Luke due to his faster reaction, and Luke can attack after?"
"....That's kinda scary."
"It is, but it is what it is. We can't really do anything.... That and... I think it'll be better if the human moves to the security room... with me."
"Ah I see... if can only attack when there's two people..."
"Exactly. I have no idea if they still would attack with three people or not, but... I'd rather not risk you or Shiki-kun, Colin."
There's something that he know what to do about Zero though. "........I have a favor then. The security room can only be checked by someone with level of security of principal. Hack through the system from there and add me to there. We'll be mission control. Is that agreeable with you, Colin?"
Daichi have answer for Bellamy thankfully. "Flare burns slowly, but... they have heat signature and possibly also can create shadow in that case...."
"....Ah right, that Eyesmon, it's a Digimon who yet acclimated in human world... so... I think Speed can use his speed to run all the way to the art room. There should be mannequin there..."
"so basically,put the flare there?"
"Yes, and make sure that the mannequin looked as human as possible. From there, the flare just need to trigger the fire alarm... or maybe we can turn the sprinkler manually from the security office. That's when Luke would use his lighting."
To Sophie's offer though... "I think it's better that we move in smaller team, Sophie. If we pull all the big gun here I think it'll just hide further... Dangit, if only I have my higher form now I don't think this will be an issue... Anyway,I'm sure my plan have a tons fo risk, but we can't quite dillydally further... Colin, you're the agent here. Choose whether you'll go with my plan or different plan. I understand Luke and Bellamy are family, and I get it will definitely causes you tons of grief if something happened to them... But you have to choose. There are tons of unknown factors unfortunately..."

Okay, the twins had to admit... this was sounding harder and harder by the minute. Even one minor misstep, and it was likely that any of them could be the next victim, ending up exactly like Johan, Dokamon and the others. Having to take into account the room's shadows would be a challenge, not to mention that their source of light had to be in between them and the Shademon at all times. But... they had to at least try.
For Johan. For Dokamon. For everyone whose shadows were stolen by this awful Digimon. Speed and Psych were both a bit stunned to see Colin state that they would save them tonight, not wanting the situation to last any longer than one day. "Colin... I do not wish to be a 'down-er' in this scenario, but do you really believe we can do it tonight?" Psych asked Colin as carefully as he could. "This enemy is unlike anything any of us has faced in the past. Being too optimistic too early may be our undoing."
"That's nonsense, bro," Speed said, grinning at Psych as he put is hand on Colin's shoulder... after taking his gauntlet off, of course. "Colin's right; we're gonna save them tonight, no if's, and's, or but's about it." Everyone else back at AEGIS HQ agreed with Colin, and so the group would have all AEGIS agents on standby should they need them. Now was the time to discuss the plan. As was discussed before, this monster only attacked groups of two or less people, so the humans would have to be moved to the security room with Hikaru for their safety. Hikaru then asked if the security room can be hacked into to allow Hikaru access. Once Colin would relay this question back to Zero, the Hackmon would respond, "Leave it to me. Hacking into the school system should be a piece of cake." Once Hikaru got to the security room, he would find that he was now given access to it despite not being the principal. After a bit of discussion, a risky plan was devised: Speed could run down with the flares to the art room and stick them to a mannequin, making this mannequin look as human as possible. Then, once the Shademon was there, the sprinklers would turn on (either thanks to said flares or turned on remotely from the security room) and Luke would use his lightning against the Shademon. So many unknown factors were at play here, and it was beyond risky. But unless Colin had another plan in mind, what else could they do?
"Wait... this thing would only attack if there's less than three of us in the art room... so what's one team going to be doing?"
"If you and Luke are going to the art room right away and acting as bait for Shademon, then Bellamy and I are presumably going to cover any possible exits, making sure that this thing cannot escape from us tonight. Does that sound accurate, Hikaru?"
Well, this seemed to be the plan, unless Colin had any suggestions... here's to hoping it goes well for them.

Colin, Luke and Bellamy listened to Hikaru’s assessment of the situation. Yeah, this wasn’t something to approach without a solid plan. One of their team had been taken out so far, and they didn’t want to share the same fate, so planning was ideal here.
Colin agreed to the idea of the humans staying together, given this “entity” so far didn’t attack in groups of 3 or more. Bellamy didn’t see anything wrong with accompanying Psych, especially equipped with Daichi's flares, and Luke would be well teamed up with Speed.
Zero then asked how he could be of help, then Hikaru suggested he hack the school camera systems. Colin thought that would be helpful, but it was his sister that was the authority on that. He asked for her input.
”If Zero can do that with no trace, then I authorize it.” Sophie replied through the comm. ”We want all eyes available, so if you can get all school camera feeds into here at AEGIS, we can monitor the situation from the outside.”
Sophie also understood the need to keep the team as small as possible. ”Alright, I agree there. You already have Colin, Luke, Bellamy, Gaz, Speed and Psych available, that should be enough.”
Colin then nodded to Hikaru. “Yes, I agree to your plan. You have more knowledge on how to deal with this situation than I do, and I like what I hear so far, I think we can contain and capture this digimon, and end its effects on its victims.”
Psych asked if Colin was sure they could end this tonight. Colin nodded firmly in response. “We have to. With DATS gone, AEGIS is the only organized defense against situations like this. So we’ll use everything we have to counteract it.” And if they failed, well, that would be the point where humanity was helpless against digimon, he supposed, but forced that thought out of his mind.
The plan seemed sound. They would bait the shadow digimon and then ambush it with light. Furthermore, with Bellamy’s fire attacks and Daichi’s flares, that gave them options to block off any means of escape.
“Okay, sounds solid to me.” Colin said. “Luke, Bells, get ready to deploy. Oh, yeah, we’d best take note where the light switches are in each room… they seem to all be to the left of the doorway, right?” he consulted with Hikaru.
Luke and Bellamy meanwhile exchanged a serious look that they rarely shared. They were serious about this, there was to be no messing about.

So all is in agreement. Hikaru nodded at Daichi and Colin to follow him. Just in case, he took off his holosuit for the meantime and sneaks back through the emergency exit. "Whatever you guys do, make sure to keep Bells and Luke together with you. They're our communicator too after all, considering... they're the one with the chosen. So this... division was actually chosen with that in mind too." Hikaru told the dragon twins.
As for himself, he guided the two humans and headed straight toward the security room, which is... actually on the first floor. Once he gets there, Hikaru pressed his ID card to the card reader and ushered the boys in. "...Come. Shiki-kun, any difference on your arm?"
"N-no, not really. Still feeling the same."
"That so? I guess we're lucky that the Digimon isn't attacking us then... or, this is a bit too far from its hunting ground. Either way, Colin, do tell the rest that we're in the right spots... and no, they're on the right side on the front desk entrance. If you enter the room, then it's on your right. Corridor's lights are meanwhile are operated from here if I recall it correctly..." Hikaru turned on the lights just in case as it's the time. "...Alright, hallways are lit. Be careful with any shadows. You can begin your investigation now, but..."
he looked at the camera. "Colin, Shiki-kun, have you seen any movement in the camera yet?"
"No," Daichi answered. "I haven't seen any strange movements at all."
"I see... well, perhaps return back to the crime scene together, as in, all four of you, and then from there you split? Or do you have any better ideas?"

Sophie seemed to agree with the others about Zero hacking into the security room, allowing access to Hikaru, Colin, and Daichi, and was able to authorize it. She even suggested Zero to get the school camera feeds to AEGIS HQ. "Already on it," Zero said through the comm. "Just one more second, and... viola! Now we can see everything over here, and be able to warn you if something's approaching."
And with that, the plan they had in place was about to be put into action. Psych voiced his concerns to Colin about their ability to stop this crazy Digimon, to which Colin simply stated that they had to. They were the only group that could fight back against threats like this. If they failed, humanity was doomed. Psych was not an optimist, he could really only see devastation in their future if they put all their eggs in one basket. However, the Psychdramon simply put those thoughts aside and decided to trust in his teammates and in Hikaru. "Then we'll do everything in our power to prevail this day," Psych told Colin with a slight smile.
Now, it was time. Colin, Daichi and Hikaru had headed off together to the security room to check the cameras while the two sets of twins remained in Hikaru's office. Hikaru had warned Speed and Psych to stay close to Luke and Bellamy respectively, telling them that they'd act as communicators with Hikaru and the others. While the twins were waiting, Psych looked towards Speed with a look of concern, as his brother was tapping his food rapidly and looking at the ground with a sour expression. "I can sense that you're nervous, Speed. Do you want to talk about it?"
"I've just got butterflies in my stomach, is all," Speed said, his face forming a somewhat forced smile for a second. "In all honesty, I'm afraid, man. I'm not used to pressure like this on a mission, especially since my powers feel kinda useless here. My shadow would be going all over the place as I run, and I can't control that. I don't want to end up like Johan and Dokamon."
"You aren't going to, Speed. We have a plan; if we stick to it, then everything will be fine."
"I really want to believe you... guess I have no choice but to do so, huh?"
As if Psych could read his mind (because he could,) he knew what Speed was truly worried about. "You doubt yourself far too much. You won't mess the plan up. You're much better than you realize, after all."
Of course, since they did not have a human partner there, Speed and Psych were simply waiting for Luke or Bellamy to be told what to do next, and surely they'd follow them to the crime scene before splitting off like Hikaru suggested... if that's what Luke and Bellamy wanted to do, of course.

As they deployed to their positions, Colin hoped that his partners would do well in this situation. It was actually a little distressing for him in this situation, realizing that he couldn’t be in the same position as his partners in order to guide them if something went awry, but at the same time, he knew the reason for it, given what happened to Johan and Dokamon. But he held his nerves and did what Hikaru asked, and confirmed his position to the others. Luke with Speed and Bellamy with Psych.
Next, Zero seemed to have broken through and linked up with the school surveillance systems. Hopefully that would be enough for their advantage. At AEGIS HQ, Sophie followed this up by providing the feed to Hikaru, Daichi and Colin as they needed.
“Okay, good, this helps a lot.” Colin exclaimed, momentarily experimenting on displaying the camera feed to the computers that were available to them. “Good work, Zero. We’ve got surveillance here.”
With that, Colin turned to Hikaru. “Now that we’ve got the school surveillance system under our control, I think we should make a scan through the building first and zero in on the most likely target where this digimon might be.” he said. “That’ll make the least risk to us for the time being. If we can locate them on that sweep, we can better coordinate and home in on them.”
Luke and Bellamy meanwhile accompanied Speed and Psych to hidden corners as they awaited further instructions. With the high degree of threat at the moment, they could not be caught out in the open.
