The Gazimon, hearing something akin to a praise for good qualities, had a Pinocchio moment. "Good ears, good claws, and good snouts, even a good sense of taste." He would state, taking a proud pose that sadly put him into position to get gently patted by Makiko, which of course disrupted his momentary boost to mental image. He would grouse, and take another carrot from Makiko who would smile softly at the Gazimon. "Fine, fine, but if I get hurt or worse, it is all of you who I will haunt!" He would declare again being obstinate.
Grimm would nod to the soulmon, not wanting to let down the rest by being uncertain of himself. If nothing else, he did seem to be the best one for flying. He also had a pretty wicked scythe, so that would also make for a useful option for facing off the dead, if the grim reaper motif was anything to go off of. "As long as Makiko is safe, I am able to be used for any task." He would state forth. He wanted to make sure that this situation was taken care of nicely, and not in a negative way. Lots could go wrong with zombified digimon, he assumed, and he did not want anything to go wrong.
"Glad to hear we are not the only ones going, the more of us going, the safer it is for everyone, and the more options we have for taking care of the situation, so Captain Soulmon, lets get this going. If we are lucky, we may find your Captain and restore him to power and his usual self, sounds like the crew and your captain make the digital seas safer." She would finish that one with a bit of curious mischief in her eyes. The sounds of going on a Pirate ship, and possibly staking out Zombies sounded like something amusing. Still, what little she did know of Zombies meant that they would need to keep their distance at least early on, for a bite could mean the difference between success and failure.
She would put her diary away, but take note to write out everything later. Pulling out her Xros Loader, she would use it in a Salute, letting its Colors shone in the crests that make up the Metal Empires, Nightmare Soldiers, and Draconic Roar families. "Consider this a mission, Grimm, let our first mission be a success!"
"As you wish, Makiko." Grimm would grunt in response.
"What do you mean first mission!?!? What about the Prairie situation!" The grouchy rabbit would ask incredulously.
Makiko would just stick her tongue out and have a silly look. "That would be my first step into the digital world." She would state, a smile on her face. Gazimon just took that down as another reason to worry about this whole thing.

"Not to mention humble too." Grace said with a playful giggle at Gazimon's words. She smiled at the fact that Gazimon was looking so confident before going back to his obstinate ways which Grace was beginning to find cute in a way as she said "Nothing will happen silly so don't be such a grump. If we all work together using our abilities to the best of our advantage than it should be fine."
"We still shouldn't be complacent though and should continue to proceed with caution so we can keep everyone safe." Kshin said before turning to Grimm as he then said "Don't worry, Grimm. Between all of us I'm sure we can keep Makiko safe."
"Lass I'm not sure if the term Captain fits me. I have just been looking out for the crew but I'm not the only one on board who looks worse for wear. Fortunately none of the injuries are serious thanks to CaptainHookmon's efforts." Soulmon said he whistled and waved one of his arms and a Bakemon came into view lowering the plank so everyone could board before he then said "Well then lads and lasses let's board and head back to the isle. There is a part of the island where there is little activity so it would be the best spot to go ashore."
Kshin snickered before he asked "So is she always like this? If so you guys must of already had an interesting time meeting one another." After that Kshin, Grace, and Mona made their way on board the ship and when Makiko and her group boarded they could be underway. Upon getting on board it was clear that Soulmon was not exaggerating as there were multiple Bakemon going about the ship's operations and they all had looked pretty battered but otherwise fine. Meanwhile Soulmon had told the navigator the next step and the Bakemon at the wheel nodded.

Both digimon that were aligned with Makiko heard Kshin's question, and both for the first time since meeting, had a silent agreement. Not that anyone could get them to ever admit it. They would both nod towards Kshin, so that he knew that they both had answered, even if they had acted like neither knew the other's input. Makiko was quite the girl when it came to things, seemingly always stepping forward, and being awkwardly in the wrong place at the right place, or the right place at the wrong time. It was almost like a talent if they had to guess, but it was not really a good thing. She also seemed to be a little in the way of thick headed, and always willing to take the first step forward, even if it is rather reckless. The Lilymon and prairie adventure alone proved that, but even now she was proving to be moving faster than anyone else could really count.
The girl in question would make sure that she had everything, before moving up onto the deck. She would take note of the look of the Bakemon, and had a concerned look. They really did seem to be in a rough state, and she hoped that they would all get a chance to recover. Still, she would acknowledge right now that the ability to rest and recover would not likely be for the moment. They would need to verify how CaptainHookmon was doing first, or they would not be able to recover at all. She would be silent for once, and instead sit back somewhere to stay out of the way.
Grimm would follow his General, but would do so via flying, instead of walking/slithering. It was only because it would not get in the way of other ground based traffic. "This ship looks like it is lacking some life." The digimon equivalent of the Grimreaper would mutter, noticing how many undead digimon seemed to be on the ship, and he had to wonder if this was normal or if something had forced them all to evolve into these forms.
Gazimon would walk behind Makiko, almost deep in thought. He felt bitter that he and the giant metal lizard actually agreed on something. He also started to consider why he was following Makiko? Why was he going along with everyone? What was the purpose? He felt a longing, and he did not know what it meant. His claws felt weird, and so did his core. Could the food have been poisoned? No, he would have noticed in the taste. Something in his code felt off, maybe he had spent too much time under Lilymon's thumb, and doing banditry. He felt bitter, and it was not something he wanted to stay with. Maybe he could get better, maybe this human's recklessness... never mind, he did not want to become like that.

Though neither Makiko or her digimon companions spoke out loud to Kshin the young dragon noticed the nods he had gotten. Apparently this was a matter that the trio was not comfortable with talking about the subject to him. Kshin figured that made sense given they had only just met so Kshin didn't push any further and fortunately Grace was able to read the situation but her peppy friendly attitude was still going full throttle. Though Grimm's words about the ship lacking life hit the nail on the head since the crew though hard at work looked understandably depressed given what had happened to them. The sight of the Bakemon floating around made Grace feel bad for them.
Soulmon floated over to Grimm and said "This crew used to be so lively and happy before what happened to the captain. I've been trying to help but in this case I feel powerless as I don't have CaptainHookmon's upbeat attitude and charisma. His positive mood was contagious much like the wee little Gammamon over there." He then indicated Grace who was chatting with one of the crew members while trying to help the Bakemon out with his work. "Maybe having the lass on this mission might help everyone's moods." the Soulmon said faintly smiling.
Kshin had begun working with the navigator helping with his limited knowledge of sailing which he was silently thanking his Grandfather and parents for now cause even though he wasn't a sailor by profession it was a handy skill to have. As for Mona she was looking out over the sea as the ship started to move in the direction of the said island. The Terriermon Assistant was sitting on the railing as if in deep thought. What she heard worried her and she hoped her worries would be for naught.
Some time later the ship made its way to its destination and Kshin, Grace, and Mona began making their way off the ship taking notice that there was a jungle in sight of the beach. Soulmon floated over to the group and said "The village that is overrun by the zombies is just beyond this jungle. Somehow something is keeping those undead horrors out of the jungle because that is how we were able to get away."
Kshin could feel faint hints of magic and he said "Perhaps the reason is because of the faint magical energies coming from the jungle. It might be repelling the zombies. Perhaps if we investigate this magic we can learn more."

The travel was relatively short. It was still on the boat, and there were still things that happened, but the ghost ship, or was it still a living pirate ship? Either way, it was active for all the ship based obligations. People manned the sails, and the crows nest kept active, the steering wheel and navigation comity was kept on their active side. That left Makiko and her partners in a more inert position though. None of them were exactly functional for boat maneuvers. That did not mean that Makiko did not try to cheer people up, or ask questions, just largely, those were not very effective, as she could only bring so much luck to them. It was more apt that the Gammamon would likely be the one to make things more lively, and that was fine. Still, this lead to Makiko taking notes, and studying the ship in detail, and the crew's mannerisms, even getting so far as to start seeing trends and disparities between the various ghosts.
Grimm and Gazimon on the other hand would on case during the trip get conscripted to help with various things, to mixed results. The more nimble or dexterous needs found Grimm to be inept, but Gazimon to be quite proficient. On things of Strength or that required more direct prowess, Grimm would succeed, while Gazimon would find himself not as apt. This did not help their bickering, but it did at least help the crew, and help ascertain how they were functionally different for those who did not know.
Once the village came into view, and the jungle beyond that, was when questions would arise. Why would the Zombies not be able to go through the Jungle? Was it as surmised by Kshin that magic or occult abilities kept them off? Or was there something even the Zombies instinctively feared in there? Makiko would not know, but Gazimon knew that due to travelers there were plenty of Predatory plants in the Jungle, and not all of them were as pretty as Lilymon. Grimm knew that there were plenty of things non undead that could be far more scary to deal with as well, and as such, both of Makiko's buddies would know that there were things that could likely be there. Though for know, it was a big question mark.
"Soulmon, Kshin, Mona, do we wish to try to use the ship as the forward base, or the village itself?" The violet haired girl in the coat would ask. It was not that there was much of a distance between the two, it just meant more or less where they would have to make a return point for if they needed to back off for what ever reason. The village provided a defensible position, but also provided a shorter distance. The ship was likely more secure, as there were plenty of numbers of Bakemon, and the water itself could be used as a protective barrier, but it is a longer distance run from the ship to the jungle. Makiko had asked the question while trying to figure out the distance difference. Plus a large ship like this was not likely to come aground, or be locked to the shore eternally, or until something big and strong was able to move it physically.
Grimm was thoughtful for a second. "I vote for the ship, if we want full security, then a big floating fortress would be the best way, if only we could reinforce it and add cannons." The metallic dragon would offer. He was definitely one for the superiority of machines and metal.
Gazimon was not having any of it though. "If we have to go, the village is at least on ground, and we could make plenty of fortification and dig around if needed, you big idiot lizard." He would state, his normal rudeness slipping in.

"Nay lass. The village is far too zombie ridden to use as a base of operations so the ship is the safest bet for the time being." Soulmon said as he floated nearby.
"I'm also with Grimm on this. He may be a bit of a gruff grump but he has a point." Grace said.
"Then we should head into the jungle. There is something about the magic I am sensing. I don't know why but it feels vaguely familiar somehow." Kshin said while Gazimon was arguing for the village.
Mona looked at Gazimon and shook her head before she said "Darling while a village could provide defensive advantages we don't know how many zombies are roaming it or how strong they are." Mona's words were calm showing her sense of wisdom that indicated her being much older than Kshin and Grace once again.
Kshin began carefully heading for the jungle before looking back at the others. Grace and Mona followed while Soulmon seemed to hesitate before following as well. The group, with Kshin at the lead, walked carefully through the foliage in the direction of where he sensed the faint magic. After awhile it was feeling more familiar almost as if he was practically ontop of it causing the Gumdramon to stop.
Looking down he brushed aside some leaves revealing an elaborate gold pendant imbued with magical sapphires. Reaching down he picked the pendant up causing Soulmon to exclaim. "That's the captain's magic pendant! That means he at least made it to this jungle." Soulmon's tone now sounded hopeful.
"Or at least close enough to lob the pendant into the jungle. The question is why?" Kshin said rubbing his chin with one of his paws as if in deep thought as he looked over the pendant.

OOC: Posting these again, just so I do not have to go back to the prior page. MakikoGrimmAstramIC: The fallacy that Makiko had made had opened up things for her and Gazimon to become a little closer, it seemed, but the wisdom in using the ship, especially with the proper information put forth. The ship would have to be their base, unless they clear out the zombies somehow... though that did give her an idea, as she pointed to the air. "Grimm, I want you to fly above the jungle, and take note of the village, and anything else you can see as landmarks, also see if you can gather information on the zombies, bring someone with if you think two eyes are better than one." She would offer to him, who after preparation would fly up into the air, and seek the sky, looking for various bits of information.
She would then turn towards Gazimon, who was with the rest of the group, even if a little sluggish. "I do not know if you can do it as well as the others in that prior team, but could you monitor tremor sense?" She would ask, getting a mixed response of indignant and prideful glare from the Gazimon, before he started walking on all fours.
Grimm would be looking for anything of information worth taking in, paths through the jungle, bodies of some sort that stick outside of the foliage, or even villages and statues. He would also be flying carefully to allow anyone on his back to have a better view, and taking note of any Zombie activity. It made more sense than to just sit there, and not do something, plus his metallic armor would likely protect him against initial attacks.
Gazimon on the other hand, had started working on paying attention to any movement that was not their group, it was not easy, but it was something he could do, and it also distracted him from the magical questions. When they got to the pendant, he would be weary to keep his distant from it. The response from the team earlier still had him thinking. If he was bigger, he might have the ability to dig a tunnel that would protect them, but he was rather small, and they did not know how many Zombies exist, nor what they were. This was assuredly more Magical dangers. He started feeling something in his paws though, something that felt odd...
Makiko stood close to the pendant, unafraid. She would then take a look in every direction from it, pen out as a pointer, looking for potential directions it could have come from, and then before it got picked up, looking for any signs of it having slid, or once it was picked up, any indentation in the jungle floor. She would report her findings, if any sign of any of the above was fruitful, or state clearly that it seemed more likely that it was dropped instead if there were no signs or feasible ways it could have landed. None the less it was a pretty pendant. "Any chance the captain left it here, as a way to give guidance towards those looking for him?" she would offer after any resolution. She was curious as to that, as well as if there would be any information provided by Grimm from above and anyone who went with him. OOC: Sorry for not adding too much to this, had been in a rush, but also wanting to not make you wait too long. Left things open for possible information sharing/functionality so that you can guide the story a bit more easily. Also using this as an excuse to give Gazimon some latent magical senses for the eventual evolution.

Makiko gave her orders and Grimm and Gazimon got to work on their respective tasks as asked. From the air Grimm would see that the jungle was thick and hard to see the ground through the dense foliage. Soon the village was faintly insight were slow shuffled movement would just be noticed from several digimon on the ground that had clearly become zombies. Just how would Grimm relay that information to everyone else was the question.
Meanwhile Gazimon was busy paying attention to any potential movement however other than typical small animals scurrying around through the foliage there was not much going on in the jungle from that standpoint. The odd thing that Gazimon felt was now sticking partly out of the ground and if he dug it the rest of the way out it would reveal itself to be a elegantly crafted golden handheld compass that hadn't been there long so was it also CaptainHookmon's?
Makiko while taking note of everything had made a statement that the pendant was pretty and Soulmon said "Aye it is possible but he also could be trying to contain the zombies too. That pendant has strong magic that creates barriers to protect from evil but works best when with the captain. Without him it is little more than zombie repellant."
Then Grace piped up asking what had just come to Kshin's mind "Hey Soulmon, do you know where the captain got this pendant?" Even Grace was getting major deja vu from it.
"Aye, lass, indeed I do. See many years ago the captain met an ancient Piximon who gave it to him when he heard that the captain wanted to form a crew to protect the seas from pirates and was gifted this pendant and a compass that has the magical gift of perfect navigation. These were the captain's most prized possessions that he treasured as much as his crew." Soulmon said and Kshin looked in the ghost digimon's direction getting a sense that he knew who Soulmon was talking about.
"Did the captain ask the Piximon his name?" Kshin asked.
"Aye, lad. The captain said the Piximon called himself Theron." Soulmon answered looking at Kshin looking pretty confused.
"Theron. I had a feeling that my adoptive grandfather had something to do with the pendant. It explains why the magical energy feels familiar. This pendant came from Theron's home village. The Village of Magic." Kshin said. Grace had a look on her face that also suggested that the peppy ceratopsian digimon had a feeling whom had given the pendant to CaptainHookmon as well.

Grimm noticed that though from his vantage point, he had barely any information to relay for a time. Seeing the village he would take note of the numbers, but also what the village was made of, and anything that would stand out, be them symbols, be them data degradation, or anything else that seemed out of place. He would do a circle around the sky above the village, to get various angles, looking for either an alternate route, or maybe more information before returning to the group. It would take him a bit.
The Gazimon on the other hand, had been taking note of the small animals scurrying, and how they did so. It may not seem like something most would note, but when you spend your time preparing to ambush people on the road, or trying to steal from others, you learn to take note of how things move either to conceal yourself, or to blend in so that you can strike with out worry, it was honestly a good feeling to use it nicely like this. When the odd thing sticking out of the ground was found, he dug it up, looking it over and noticing it was a golden handheld compass, and the way the dirt fell from it, he realized it was important. "Soulmon, Human, look at this!" He would state, rushing to where everyone else were at that moment, and showing them the compass. "This was barely in the dirt, and has not been there long, is this familiar to you, spook?" He would ask.
Once the compass was brought up in conversation by the soulmon, it made things even more interesting to figure out. The fact that these were also connected to Kshin through the Piximon grandfather. This meant that there was more connection, and that lit up Makiko's eyes. "I wonder, if this is in a way, why the book showed you what it did, Kshin?" she would suggest, as she would look over her notes. "A trope in many tales, include magical artifacts calling out to each other when the owner of one, is in trouble or need." She would add, holding back her excitement. It was just a theory.
Still, the pendant did not get brought up at this point, so all Makiko knew was that it was a Magical. Still, three magical items were in this area, and they also still lacked sight of anything to share where CaptainHookmon was. The more things connecting themselves, the more the mystery deepened, as they lacked the true question. If these were here, where was the captain? What caused the Zombies to begin with? Why is it that they had not seen any non zombies aside from animals? Were animals immune?

Grimm would notice that the village was small and unassuming likely normally having a small population where likely everyone knew each other. The buildings were made of wood and stone giving it a quaint charming feel if there wasn't various zombified digimon shuffling around down below killing any hint of the charm from before. Some would likely be creeped out to the point of wanting to nope out of this area as fast as possible. At least it seemed the zombies were ground based so there was that bit of good news.
The non digimon lifeforms like the animals didn't seem affected by what had altered the digimon. When Gazimon found the compass Soulmon floated over to him and said "Aye, that is the Captain's magical compass but why would the Captain leave it here? I get the pendant due to it's protective properties but the only thing the compass could do was provide perfect navigation for the wielder."
"Darling, perhaps the Captain left the pendant to ensure you all would be able to get away and the compass so any search party can navigate this Yggdrasil forsaken jungle and possibly find an answer to this zombie situation." Mona said with words that reflected she was likely much older than her adorable rookie form suggested. The fashonista walked over to Gazimon and said "Perhaps you should look after the compass until we find out what happened to the captain while Kshin can look after the pendant."
Kshin looked at Makiko and said "I don't know how the book works or why but each time it has activated it has been like, I don't know for sure but I think it's been trying to guide me somehow. However it only seems to give me hints like the book wants to encourage me to solve things on my own or with someone else. Not even Theron knows anything about the book though he told me he would look into finding out about it."
"Maybe the book showed the ship to lead us to these artifacts. So maybe they might be helpful somehow here." Grace suggested causing Kshin to shrug.
"I wonder what, if anything, Grimm has seen. He might be able to provide us with some more to go on." Kshin said.

Grimmon taking note of these oddities and novelties, would return to the group, able to provide the information to the group as a whole if nothing happened on his way back. The fact that the skies seemed safe, could mean that various other means were also safe, he would also try to note digimon species that stand out among the zombies. Still, Wood and Stone buildings, ground based zombies, seemed easy enough to state to the group once he flew back.
Meanwhile, back at the group the dealings of Mona and Soulmon were going on. Gazimon was hit by a fast ball of an offer. "W-wait, why should I hold on to it?!?" He would ask with start. A magical artifact, in his paws seemed like someone just asked him to hold on to a chainsaw, by the saw. He was sweating nervously as he held it. Finally he would just acquiesce, "F-fine, I will, but only because it is best to keep it out of danger...I think." He had thought about how the human would be a bad idea to carry it, and most of the rest would likely be fighting so him holding on to it would be better.
"The more interesting the mystery, the more thrilled I get to be here." Makiko would say, with that odd sleepy eyed look she has, but the smile on her face told a story of someone who was enraptured. "A mysterious magical artifact of a book that guides you into things to help grow, it may be cultivating you, guiding you towards some form of legend in the making. It may also want you to find and solve things, possibly to help cultivate you further." The Violet headed human would state almost drooling at the side of her mouth over the potential, before composing herself. "Speaking of Grimm, I see he has arrived, Grimm, what did you find?"
"The Jungle is thick and hard to see the ground with in it, The Zombies have slow movement, ground based, and seemed to lack awareness above them, the buildings are largely untouched, made of stone and wood, rather large." He would start, before adding the oddity. "None of the non digimon lifeforms have been zombified." He would finish, his mechanical voice seem confused by that. "No sign of Captain Hookmon, and none of the Zombie digimon stood out by much to me." The serpentine body of the dragon curling up on itself.

"Why are you so nervous, Gazimon? It's just a magical artifact." Grace said cocking her head wondering why Gazimon was so nervous.
Kshin looked at Makiko as she mentioned the book may be cultivating him and said "Perhaps that is the case for that book but if it is I wonder why." At this point Grimm had returned to tell them what he found and boy did he have something to report and that was the fact that the jungle was thick and hard to see the ground. Then he reported the zombies movement being ground based. While the non digimon lifeforms weren't affected as well.
"No sign of the captain so there is a chance that he's still nearby but out of sight." Kshin said as he peaked through the bushes seeing the zombies on the move. Kshin scrunched his nose before covering it as he pulled away from the bushes and said "P U. The zombies totally reek."

The Gazimon looked at Grace for a moment with a wonder if this small digimon had forgotten their earlier conversation, and then finally relented to just express the grievance. "This thing is magical.. You know, the thing that is dangerous." he stated with a mix of annoyance and matter of fact. In reality, he was just mistrustful of such things, not aware of the subtle changes in his own code at this point. Even if he tried to drop it at this point, something in his unconscious would not let him. Would it be duty? Would it be some sort of greed? Or was it something else? Hard to say. "C-can never be too careful." he would add, trying to recover some of his bluster. None the less the twitch of his tail was enough to show he was not certain how he felt about holding it.
Makiko would shrug. Motives of magical objects were ever really clear until the end of a journey, and at this point there was not enough information to go off of. Likely though, it was aiming for a heroic route, at least that was her mind space on it. Makiko would acknowledge that the Zombies smelled, but would mostly stay quiet with them so close. She just did not want the smell to get closer to them until they had a plan of action.
Grimm on the other hand was ready for action, even in the weakened state of being equivalent to a child stage, he was still an impressive frame, and made for combat. Scouting was good, but the dragon form grim reaper was not content with the lack of action, he wanted to get this over and done with. Still, with a look from Makiko, he stayed his impulsive action, none of them were able to take on hordes of Zombies, and this would make things much more rough on them, if he drew them all here, even if it was not helping him stay calm.
Makiko would look to the rest of the group. Mona, Soulmon, you two know the Captain, if he was hiding or trying to survive here, where would he likely go?" she would ask, just getting straight to the question. The book might have hints, but the book was not her's to read or search. The compass? Hard to say what it could do here at the moment. They were no closer to getting this zombie mystery sorted, and it was starting to be known that there were more mysteries attached. Then a question came to mind...
"What would happen if a Zombie interacted with a Zombie?" This was spoken aloud to the group. "It does not effect non digimon digital life form, but what about a bio form?" she would follow up, not quite regretting the thought process. If there were things safely in the village, hidden in the buildings, if a human could get in there safely, then they could find out. It was all conjecture though, and there was no proof to support the hypothesis, but depending on the answer, she might seek to fulfill the experiment to make things easier, though if it is deemed too dangerous, another situation could arise from the questioning.

Grace didn't seem perturbed by Gazimon's attitude as the peppy Gammamon mearly scratched her head before she said "Yeah I get your point, Gazimon. Magical items in the wrong hands can be very dangerous so being careful is wise. However magical items in the right hands can still be good and even be used to help others you know?" Grace's words were calm as if trying to pass her optimism to Gazimon. Bouncing on her feet Grace looked over in the direction of the zombies also crinkling her nose. Kshin was right on the money about the smell.
Grimm was ready for action his impressive stature quite the sight for being the strength of a rookie. Kshin knew digimon were an example of why not to judge a book by its cover. Kshin had a feeling Grimm could easily hold his own against him if the two sparred. "It is hard to say for sure where CaptainHookmon went but perhaps...." Mona began tapping her chin before looking over at Kshin as she then said "Kshin, darling, I know this is a long shot but perhaps that magic book of yours can be of some use to us."
While Kshin brought out the book again and flipped through the pages nothing seemed to appear at first before Soulmon said "Perhaps even if this book doesn't provide some clue we can use the compass to navigate to a cave or some ruins. If the captain is alright he might of taken shelter there."
"None of us are experts on zombies so who knows what would happen if they interacted with one another." Grace said while looking in deep thought.
Then the book hummed to life and shimmered before an image appeared on the pages Kshin had turned to. The image of ruins heavily ravaged by time appeared before the young Gumdramon's amber eyes. Kshin's eyes widened before he said "Wow there are ruins here and boy do they look ancient. Might be more ancient than even Grandpa Theron himself." Then the book shimmered again revealing a different image on the page that was of a dark shadow and craters throughout the forest. "What? What is this?"

Gazimon was having trouble with the fact that this gammamon had such pep, but could be randomly wise like this. Still, his hesitancy was there due to practice, albeit with with the fact that it was in his hands for once. He would ignore the smell of the zombies for the moment as he was more worried. Was he worthy to hold on to a magical item? Was he worthy to maintain such a thing, and would it have positive effects in his own paws? The Gazimon could not state for certain... This was a foreign situation in all facets.
Grimm, realizing where his general's mind was going had to interject, not that he knows that word. "Zombie interacting with another is one thing, but I do not think I want you to try to interact with them." he would breath, even though he did not need to, it was a breathy statement, one that was trying to force composure. The mechanical evil dragon did not want to see his general risking things. It was an oddly logical follow through based upon the digital and none digital statement.
Makiko was waiting on the book check, but had continued her thought. It was right that they were not experts in Zombies, not even Makiko, and her stint of bibliophilia was likely to help guide them. Luckily, Makiko was also science minded, even if a little mad science. Based upon the fact that only digimon would seemingly be infected, that lead to a hypothesis of two things. One, digital life otherwise seems unable to be effected, or two, they are safely avoiding it via inability to be noticed. That would lead her to wondering more about a random element such as a human. Humans are not native to here, and are not digimon as far as she knows. This would likely mean either result could apply, but they may still attack, depending on the answer.
Hearing about the response to the book, she would look over the image. "Hmm..." having not seen the ruins, could only take the words at their value, but seeing this had her feeling something else. "That does not look comforting. Craters could come from any number of things, but dark shadow is not usually a good thing." She would state, finally showing some hesitancy. The Gazimon actually had a moment of a jaw dropping at that.
Mona, you are the most knowledgeable of us, can you make heads or tails of this?" she would ask, unaware that Kshin might actually have a stronger reason for his response.
