APPEARANCE

Shun is a shorter than average boy (for his age), with quite the eccentric look. His skin is pale (and might actually be sign of anemia). His hair, whiter than his own skin, made him looks quite unhealthy. That added with the near permanent eye bags under his eyes definitely made him looked sickly. Another trait of his is that he refused to cut his hair despite it being well past his shirt's collar, opting to grow it to be similar to his mother's.

Shun is always found wearing a jacket. He found it calming when he didn't have to look at someone directly. While glasses would have helped, it wouldn't help as much as hood. In whichever clothes he wear, he always try to wear a collared top, just so he could put on his late father's tie on himself. He felt more at peace with it around. 

While it's not obvious, Shun have a weaker right arm, not caused by the fact that he's left handed, no. He's in fact, was right handed. Unfortunately, the accident led him unable to exert as much muscle strength compared to before to his right arm. He's curretly undergoing some therapy to strengthen it, but it's questionable whether it would be back to normal or not, considering it was left to fester for years.

PERSONALITY

It's a bit hard describing Shun, considering the amount of trauma that he have went through. Shun is... quiet, softspoken, and prefers to keep conversation short. Sometimes, he is unable to speak more than just one or two words, and only speaks at length if he's truly interested, or perhaps... snapped out of his anxiety enough to actually speak. Various traumas related to foster care made him a light sleeper, and sometimes can wake up very easily from slight disturbances. Many also pointed out that Shun is, for lack of better word, "always try to present himself as a harmless being". It's seem that it's easier to be harmless than sticking out. This might cause him to clash a lot with the more outspoken people or those who disturb his personal space.

Shun tries as much as possible to maintain distance between him and people he interacted with. Cramped place scared him, especially whenever he remembered the time he was in the accident. Crowds that makes him unable to breathe also triggered his trauma. Due to this, he have opted to live in the campus dormitory, in a solo room. Despite his limitation, Shun is well aware that he's lonely. He's in fact, very much wishes to be understood. But due to low self worth inflicted by foster families that only cared about government money, he often feel that it wasn't worth it.

Though, he can be surprisingly assertive if he knew that he's 100% in the right, such as when he had objective knowledge of something.

HISTORY

Son of Kouenji Family, who was once famous for their startup robotics business. Shun's father is a talented man who was close to finding a breakthrough in AI development. Should he was able to create a working AI model with learning capability that can be countered with logics, he theorized that service robotics animal might be not a dream. A service mechanical dog, for those who are allergic but in need of assistance. Either that, or to quickly request help from surrounding people in much more effective way. While the AI is still in the process of testing, it was named "AIBOU".

Shun, who very much involved as observer and understudy immediately took interest to the project, and always available in the testing period. Shun's father actually modelled the prototype's behavior to be very suitable for Shun. Encouraging him, playing with him, present him with questions, and provided him answers for his questions. It sounded like all was good... until that very fateful day. Shun and his famly got in an accident. They were done from dining at a fancy restaurant, and it was slghtly late and is snowing. Shun's birthday was coming, and his father teased him that he could splurge some this time around. However, before he could spoke what he wanted, the car he rode on was T-boned by a sleepy bust driver.

...Life from there was a blur. His right arm was injured, put on a cast and he was tossed around like a volleyball. He was seven, and for several years, he had to go from a foster house to another. While he did not get physically abused or treated very badly, he wasn't treated nicely either. It's clear that he's simply "extra wallet" that's barely tolerated. If he misbehaved, threat of sending him back to the orphanage were always raised. Thanks to that, he developed tendency to only act as how people expect him to act.

It wasn't until he was 12 that his father's ex employee adopted him. Said employee understood the mistrust that Shun might have from this way too convenient adoption, especially considering the trust and share of the company that is in Shun's name (that he couldn't access before he is 21), but he really could not bear see Shun suffer further in such system. It wasn't his goal to rob the boy of his inheritance. While trying their best to navigate around the traumatized boy, Mr. Date, Mrs. Date and even his adoptive younger brother Kouki, tries their best to give him the best possible life.

Unfortunately, it's hard to tell whether such a deep wound could be healed or not.
