Matsuri wasn't really good at finding directions on her own. For starters, she didn't have the slightest clue how to find addresses, but if there was one thing the little girl knew, it was hearing what was going on in the street. And a snazzy new netcafe opening in one of the poorer districts was certainly that caused a bit of buzz. This, plus the fact that she saw an odd ad the last time she stole Hotaru's phone for a couple of days so she could watch funny videos on the internet.
It had that strange digimon text that Hotaru had never learned how to read. But because she was such a genius (Digimon) she was able to read it super easy. Matsuri was able to send a single message through the tamernet, but she wasn't able to call or anything because Hotaru's phone battery died.
But she had sent the message good enough, and now it was time to prepare for the interview! Matsuri had never done a job interview before but you were supposed to be dressed real nice, so Matsuri decided to find the best clothes she could. Thankfully, the security at the mall last Sunday was a joke, so she was able to secure some fancier duds... though according to the price tags on her borrowed clothing, and the added prices, to her brand new "I-O-U booklet", she was gonna have to find a way to get some cash, regardless.
But that was for later! Right now, it was time for Matsuri to get her and her friends a job! She had already sent a message telling them what day she'd be here, so it was definitely, probably, maybe fine.
As she entered for the first time, Matsuri was dressed in a slim, black, 3-piece suit, making her look very professional. Unfortunately, that was where her professionalism ended. She had absolutely no idea how to tie the tie, so hanging from her neck there was a big, knotted, silk ball.
She forgot to borrow a new pair of shoes from a nearby store, so she wore her muddy, filth-ridden long boots that she also used to go dumpster diving from time to time. Her hair was still a tangled mess, though tied in pigtails with a pair of bunny hair clips.
She wore a comically large pair of sunglasses, and on her hairclips, she covered the eyes of the bunnies with black sharpies so it looked like they were wearing sunglasses as well.
And unfortunately, the homeless girl who refused to bathe still smelled like... a homeless girl who refused to bathe. But you get used to the smell, eventually.
As she walked in, she approached literally the first person she saw, placed her hands on hips as she stood proud, and declared. "I'm ready for a job interview now! Who do I gotta talk to?"

Daichi was glad that the system in the net cafe are mostly automated, so he's pretty much just standing around, greeting customers with the usual "irasshaimase!" then bows once they're done with the usual "arigatougozaimasu!". Well, it's pretty standard, and not at all that complicated. There are some helps needed now and then where some people doesn't quite get how the machine works if they want to get a private room for themselves. It's then pretty much just explaining. There are times where there are food orders too, and thankfully it wasn't all that he have to do. Regardless, it was busy, and Daichi really hoping for applicants for part timers...
By the way, Netcafe Scion offers their part timer wage that's pretty much equal to full time worker if they decide to work the same number of hour of one. The caveat being that they are either chosen or Digimon with holosuit. Well, anyway, here hoping that the first one will co---
"Ngeh---"
A yelp-like, almost unmistakable sound from the "drone" beside him caught his attention. A sniff of the air made Daichi nearly doubletake. From where is this smell of dumpster!? His neck practically creaked as he slowly came face to face with the source.
"....Digimon, human?" he asked to no one in particular. Geo simply shook his body and crawled away.
Oh God, the smell of new building, sanitizing air freshner and such just made the smell of the new applicant as contrasting as their clothing combination of choice. Daichi gave his best business-like smile.
"W-well, hello there. Um... If you're here for an interview, could you please read this, just so we're 100% sure we're in the same page? Either that or a... special identifying devices."
Daichi raises a tablet, and on the screen reads "Is looking for cook, general staff and cashier". Just in case someone thinks they can waltz in and ask for an interview just like that. Now the question is if they can read it, would they mind if he told them to take a bath...? ...Man this gonna be a literal Spongebob episode, won't it?

Matsuri nodded in acceptance as the person she approached smiled back at her. A lot of times people indoors would look at Matsuri in disgust because they were really weak to smells, but this one seemed strong enough to not mind, just like Matsuri! That was a point in Matsuri's book, right away! They handed her a tablet, and she frowned. They wanted someone to cook, cashier, and be a general of the staff. Matsuri used to be a General herself, so she already had experience.
The other two were a bit of an issue for her, though. The last time she tried to cook something she almost burned down her house and Matsuri's mommy said that she wish she had never been born, so Matsuri probably shouldn't try to cook again. And as for being a cashier, well, Matsuri hadn't actually paid for anything ever since she decided that even though she couldn't stop herself from not being born, Matsuri could run away and disappear from mommy and daddy's life forever.
And for some reason Matsuri lost her memories for a bit and woke up and became a Digimon, but that part was still kinda confused about. Not that it mattered much. Character backstories were like, super lame and boring, so who really cares about all that stuff?
Still, if this business needed a general to help run their staff, then Matsuri was definitely up to the task! She was already the leader of Hotaru's army so being the leader of a netcafe would be a breeze!
Still, she had to make sure this employer was up to her standards. The dude didn't bother to introduce himself, so that was already a negative mark. And he didn't seem to recognize Matsuri, even though she had already sent the cafe a message saying that she would be coming, located in the spoiler tag of the first post, just in case anyone reading this might have missed it. And it's not like there were any other adorable-looking girls looking as professional as Matsuri! Still, it would probably be best if Matsuri clarified things. Clearly this dude in front of her wasn't very good at knowing stuff so she would probably have to help him along. It sure was good Matsuri was here for an interview, then! "I'm Matsuri! Usatora Matsuri! I sent you a message over the tamernet earlier about a job interview on the tamernet!" She explained, handing the tablet back to the person in front of her. "Well, it's more for my friends, but I'm their leader, and I have to make sure you're not jerks before you meet them!" Present: Matsuri Usatora (HS)

...............What message?
Daichi blinked and checked his account. Huh? Yeah there's none... Unless...
"Um, just asking but do you meant that you... clicked that link---" but then he noticed that the smell IS GOING TO distract the clients from actually perusing the shop so... "Excuse me for my rudeness, do you mind to follow me? It's better that we talk in a much more suitable place."
The more suitable place in question was the back area of the Scion building, where there are several vending machines and even tables with chairs. Daichi was thankful for the fresh air the outside offers, which mitigates the smell. "I'm sorry for the distraction. Um, anyway, let's start from the beginning. My name is Shiki Daichi, I'm... you can say the owner of this place. Nice to meet you. Anyway, before we continue, would you like any..." he looked at the vending machines. "Food or drinks?"
Of course once that both party is ready, Daichi is here to rectify the mistakes. "Unfortunately, Miss Usatora, the said ads that looking for workers... does not have a member address attached to it, so you might ended up sending the message to the advertisement account instead, which are set to not accept any messages. I might forgot to put our business tamernet address in the advertisement due to running this business alone for the moment...
We apologize for that mistake. Er, anyway, you're the leader of a group of friends?" ...Please don't let them be as bad smelling as this one. "In that case, should you find our business to be suitable for you, I would still have to conduct interview with them, too. Is that agreeable?"
...Anyway, back to the topic. "So, Miss Usatora, would I be correct to assume that you're a Digimon? Do you have any experience in working with human?"

Matsuri scowled as Daichi explained the situation and let her to somewhere outdoors. Which was honestly preferable to Matsuri at the moment. The atmosphere there was starting to get glum. She took a seat, curling up to a ball as she placed her feet on the chair and hugged her knees. "Well... I guess I can let you off the hook, I guess it's rude to say this, but the inside of that building kind of smelly. Like, dentist's office kind of smelly!" It might be hard to determine what she meant exactly by that. Maybe she just hated dentists or something. Or had no idea what dentist's offices smelled like.
She was offered food and drinks, but honestly, she had eaten, and she didn't want to get her clothes dirty, so she passed. There was plenty of free food in the city, if one looked hard enough. And wasn't so picky. She raised her hand and shook her head at the offer.
Daichi explained the mixup, and she shook her head in frustration. After all that effort she made to steal Hotaru's D-Terminal, write them a message explaining their situation, and give them ample time to prepare for the interviewer. She even dressed up all fancy 'cause this was super important and stuff, but the person she was interviewing dropped the ball. "I'll forgive you this one time, but this is definitely gonna be some marks against you!" She scolded. "You need to get a better handle on things!"
Daichi changed the subject towards her friends, and Matsuri had to be careful with this. Uncharacteristically careful, one might say, but a leader's role was more important and stuff! She pursed her lips for a moment before speaking, before finally, "You can talk to them if you pass this interview, but you have to promise that it's an all-or-nothing package!" She warned him. "You can't take in one or two of them and leave the rest out on the streets because they're not as old or helpful as the others! I can survive out on the streets just fine, but my friends shouldn't have to, got it?"
But then Daichi made the completely reasonable assumption that nevertheless triggered poor Matsuri. "I'm not a Digimon!" She shot back a little more aggressively than she probably should have. "I'm a human, but I just have a Digimon body! I just... woke up one day like this, even though I only remembered that I'm a human a little while ago!" The holosuited Digimon wasn't so good at explaining that part, but to be fair, she didn't understand her own situation enough to explain it properly in the first place. But... that wasn't the issue here!
"But I don't need any experience working, 'cause I don't wanna work here! I just want my friends to be able to so they can live here!" She tried to explain when she calmed down a bit. "I get by fine, but I'm their leader, so I have to make sure you won't make them wear weird clothes or do creepy or perverted things to them! 'Cuz then I'd have to beat up everyone here up!" She raised a tiny fist attached to a scrawny arm as if were some sort of warning, but it was clear she was legitimately serious about her threat.

"Well, that's unfortunately what you would call a "professional setting", Miss Usatora," Daichi answered, still in opinion that this person in front of him is a Digimon. A mutant kind perhaps, one that hangs around junkyard... Machine type is possible also?
Some marks? ...Well, this is some reverse job interview if he have ever seen any, but eh, whatever, he feels it's fair for an interview to be a two way road...
What shocked him the most is the admission that the person in front of him is not a Digimon but a human in Digimon's body. What? How could that be? ...He'll ask Hikaru later.
"...I assure you, that we don't... have such inclination of making any personage to wear clothes that you're describing unless they wished to wear it themselves. Then again, such clothing would not appear professional in the store, considering this is NOT Akihabara..." Daichi commented. Still, it caught his attention that there are others, who... perhaps, is like her here?
"Miss Usatora, are your friends also have the same problem with you? Humans that founded themselves in Digimon body? ...Mmmm, then I think what do you need is not work at our store, but perhaps joining our team instead?" Daichi mused. "Our job front as internet cafe is pretty much... as it sounds, a front. What we're offering are actually discounted place to pick you up from various life difficulties if you're a displaced Digimon, or human with circumstances that cannot be explained to your family. We also offer part time job to pay the rent and utilities. That's pretty much how we operate."
Daichi pulled a pamphlet. "These ones are not to be shared in public, but you see, we, Team Scion, is determined to help chosens and Digimons who are in trouble to find a temporary, or perhaps, if you're willing to join, then a more permanent place to stay. Of course, joining the team means that you have duties bound to the team, but honestly, we're pretty lax. You can quit and join the team as you please, but of course there are NDAs that need to be made aware of just in case."

This Daichi fellow was sure asking a bunch of questions for some reason! Most of the times she got questioned, it was because a police officer was trying to kidnap her by telling her that she shouldn't be out on the streets alone, or because Hotaru or Sakura was trying to stop her from doing something she wanted to do. So it wasn't the questions themselves that was starting to irritate Matsuri, but just the fact that she was being questioned so much. Probably not the best mindset for a job interview, but could you really blame her?
Daichi managed to assuage Matsuri's initial concerns, thankfully. Most of Matsuri's companions were super adorbs, and since Matsuri was ultra-adorable herself, this Daichi fellow would no doubt be staring at her all creepy-like if he were a bad person. But for some reason, it seemed like Daichi didn't want to be remotely close to Matsuri. Welp, people shouldn't be blamed for their tastes, she supposed.
Matsuri crossed her arms as she tried to quantify her situation with words and stuff, something she wasn't particularly good at. "Well... Maybe they are... but maybe not? Most of us don't remember very much... Just Me and Sakura suddenly remembered that we were human one day, but the others haven't, so I dunno..." She tilted her head from side to side as her pigtails bobbed up and down.
She vaguely recalled Sakura saying some other stuff, but in all honesty, she didn't get along too well with her, so whenever Sakura told her stuff, Matsuri had a hard time remembering it. "I think she said something about... umm... oh yeah! Sakura called her parents in Okinawa once she remembered, but apparently there's already another Sakura living with them. And I don't have any more parents, so I can't really check in with them..."
"Oh, but even though this is a fake human body, it looks exactly like how I was before I became a Digimon!" She added, placing her hand on her chest. "And a lot of us feel a lot better in a human form than in our Digimon form, even though we're weaker and stuff."
A little bit after that, Daichi brought out some pamphlets and started talking about some other opportunity that she and her allies could take advantage of. He seemed really passionate about it, and Matsuri realized what was up. "Ohhh... You're trying to get us to join a cult!" She stated with absolute certainty. She thought about it for a moment. "I'm not really religious, though, but... I guess I can think about it. But I don't wanna sacrifice any people or animals, and personally I don't think it's a good idea for you to have a bunch of wives!"
