Alpha always tended to wake up pretty early in the morning, it didn't take too long for him to stir from his slumber, red eyes opening and staring at the ceiling he had become accustomed to in his year being in this house, stretching his arms out Alpha was going to get up but quickly found that his right arm was currently unavailable to him at the moment, glancing over at his side he saw his sister, Beta. Still fast asleep except for one important detail. She had his arm and right side of his body locked in what one would only be able to describe as a death grip.
This was something that happened from time to time, not every day but while Beta was sleeping she always latched onto something nearby, usually it was her pillow or one of her larger stuffed animals but this morning it would seem like it was Alpha's turn to be grabbed. He tried to gently take his arm away from her clasp but no dice, he tried to move one of the stuffed animals at his side over next to her to try and get her to grab that, once again no dice.
He could definitely rip his arm away, he could push Beta off. While she was stronger than him it's not like he was a slouch himself, especially when he's awake and she's still passed out. Still though looking at her face she seemed so calm, peaceful even. With a sigh Alpha made the decision to instead grab his blanket and toss it over the both of them, he could afford to sleep in once in a while. So the Hackmon slowly closed his eyes and let himself drip off to sleep again, she'd let go once she woke up... Hopefully.
"Oh, let me try let me try!" Beta asked rushing over to her brother who seemed to be holding something up, it was Ciel's Mouse Veil, how he got it became pretty clear as one could see the Sistermon lying on the couch nearby fast asleep, sword and most accessories removed and placed on the table nearby, one of which being her Veil that was now in the grasp of Alpha.
"I dunno, I just wanted to look at it a bit but, I don't know how Mom'd feel if we tried it on." I mean she did just leave it lying around like that, plus it's not like they were going to break it or anything. With Beta giving him the begging eyes Alpha quickly folded and handed the veil over. "Alright, Alright. Just don't rip it."
"Yay! Oh it's a lot softer then I thought." Beta did manage to get it on her head, though her ears made it a bit harder to place it over her head eventually she managed to get it on, her shorter size causing it to drag against the ground a bit as she looked triumphant. "How do I look?" She asked doing a small twirl to show it off, the long Veil wrapping around her and almost smacking her in the face.
Alpha stifled a laugh before saying. "Looking good Sis, it suits you. Oh hey, try holding the Yamato!" They were already in deep, might as well go deeper right? Beta took his advice and picked up Ciel's sword off the table, lifting it into the air with her claws as she tried to pull the blade out of the sheath, however it didn't seem to come out.
"Huh? What's up. The blade's stuck?" Beta asked looking at the sword, no matter how hard she pulled it wouldn't come out.
"The sword is tied to my data, only I can use it." Ciel said from the couch as she sat up, letting out a small laugh as she looked over at her kids. "It does look nice on you Beta, maybe a little too big though." Ciel added patting the Hackmon on the head.
"Oh, I know. Lets get Alpha and I our own! Your teacher in the woods said he like knitting! Lets head over there and ask." Alpha had no idea how he got dragged into getting one himself but eh, go with the flow.
It was nearly the end of the day, pretty late in the afternoon. Alpha and Beta had just got back from doing some training for the day, nothing too serious just a bit of practice with their champion level forms, they'd need mastery with them before they could even think about going higher.
However just as Alpha plopped down on the couch and Beta jumped up on a chair the two of them heard a rather muffled explosion coming from below, that was their mom's workshop. Glancing at each other for a moment the two of them got back up and rushed over to the doorway that lead down there, just to be forced to jump backwards a bit out of the way of Ciel who had just rushed out the door, coughing as black smoke seemed to come from the door. "Oh, hey kids. You're uh, home at a decent time. Say, its been a while since we've went out as a family. How about you two go get Dylas and we get some dinner, stay out in Terminus for like one." As she said that another muffled explosion came from the, what was supposed to be, soundproof room. "two, hours. hehe."
"Oh, yay! I love going out. C'mon Alpha, lets go get Dylas. I think he's upstairs." Beta said as she rushed upwards towards her destination.
Meanwhile Alpha stayed where he was, tilting his head to the side as he asked. "Why that specific of a time? Mom what's going on downstai-" Ciel interrupted him by patting him on the head.
"If you don't ask any questions we can stop by the mall too, I'll get you and your sister whatever you want." Ciel bargained, it was very rare that she did this meaning that whatever it was that happened had either something illegal that happened, or something embarassing.
Regardless on the question of pressing her for information and getting free stuff, Alpha did what any little kid would do in this situation and just nodded, Bet would probably appreciate being able to get more toys anyway.

Apparently whatever happened in their mom's workshop was done with for now, she went downstairs to deal with it after making sure Alpha and Beta were in their rooms. Getting up and ready to sleep Alpha couldn't help but notice Beta smiling, which usually wasn't odd but when she had to go to bed she usually wasn't. "What's up? Usually you're more worried to go to sleep." Considering her past relationship with being asleep it was pretty easy to tell why from her history.
"I dunno, I'm just. Really happy about today. I mean nothing special really happened but, I don't know I kinda like that." Beta laughed while trying to figure out what to say, however she slowly stopped and got a bit more of a downcast look in her eyes. "We go through a lot on a day by day basis, I guess. I like this cause today I didn't feel like being a digimon who's hunted because of who her father was, I felt like. Just like a normal girl, hanging out with her brother. You know, like an actual kid for once." Beta paused as her face got buried in her arms, laying on the bed looking away from Alpha. "But we don't get many days like today huh, that's just not our lives."
Alpha was still new to this whole, comforting others thing. He wasn't really good at it, even now he was at a loss on what to say. However he felt like he had to say something so, looking away from her towards the wall Alpha simply added. "I- I guess I do too. Being with you, mom and Dylas I guess, it feels nice just to hang out and be a kid for once in my life. But, that's why we gotta keep working hard. Eventually we'll win and get to live however we want!" maybe most kids didn't hafta fight for their right to exist, but so long as they had a goal in mind they could hopefully do it.
"Right, we'll have so many more days like today we'll be sick of em! I-I want as many boring days as possible with you Alpha, we have five years of lost time to make up."
So, as the prompt above mentions, while not a proper question it'll still be answered on how they feel about days like this. Right now, as the two of them drifted off to sleep. They wouldn't trade them for the world.

Morning Grip

Mom's Stuff
