Kotemon, having been struck point blank for acting out of character, collapsed backwards, moaning as he took Duffer with her. The back of the helmet struck Duffer in the stomach, falling down out of their seats, they fell out of view for the critiquing of their peers and superiors. Eventually, Duffer got back up, Kotemon was still dazed by the echoing in its helmet and stayed laying down. After the second teacher left, the tamer pulled up his partner by his arm. As he saw the unhappy looks of their friends and companions he chuckled nervously. "I... I-I'll go back to the floor..." As he did just that he made a mental note to talk to Kotemon about this later.
As he listened to the teacher change from subtle about her intentions to furious at the drop of a hat, he remained silent and terrified. Yuu may note this was actually the first time he'd seen Duffer afraid rather than startled or upset, actually hiding behind the dazed Digimon, not unlike a certain businessman.
Yuu sighed, but at least he was somewhat relieved. "Oh well, it was a cheap deal I guess. The pool's not so bad. Also, Duffer, why the heck are you afraid? It's not like the teacher's Pyramid Head or something like that you know. She won't rape your mind, then your body and then kill youwhile leaving you for dead... Okay, I'm rambling" he stopped translating the text and then refered to Mihoshi "I guess you have to lead the way, Honma-sensei... and Kyo, if you ever again use one of your attacks inside the school without me allowing it, you're gonna be in deep, deep trouble young lady. Got that?" he finished Kyo obviously pouted and made a sad puppy face the could even make a rampaging Mammothmon to stop and say "Awwww" even though said digimon usually aren't capable of coherent speech. "It's final, Kyo. The next time, you'll have to be happy with just tackling Kotemon" "But, but Yuu-ottousan! You just had to feel it, I had Kotemon-sensei just where I wanted him! Look at him, right now! He would be eating my dust if we have kept fighting!" "Kyo! I won't feed you those snacks you love if you keep doing that" Kyo now, supremely alarmed, apologized in that instant "Aw, alright. No more howly-howly inside the school if you don't say so first. But Kotemon-sensei has to admit that I won a game of fighty-fighty against him!" Yuu sighed again as he waited for Mihoshi to lead the way. Her partner was totally unbearable today.
Mihoshi sighed once more, unable to bear the hyperactiveness of the black puppy and pulled a chair to sit instead. "...Look, I know three of you are in detention and want to finish this up quickly, but Ryouta need to finish his exam first. While that can wait, the appearance of Hamada-sensei is not a good thing. I need a proof that at least one of you behave, alright? So the thing is, I need him to finish his exam right away. Luckily, he's not someone that you need to teach over and over again... Now, you two... please make your partner reflect themselves while I get the test sheet. Ryouta, thirty minutes, understand? Best to not delay this any longer than needed."
Mihoshi once again left the class for a bit. Ryouta turned to the other two peoples and start fiddling with his dictionary.
"Sorry about that, but Miho-nee basically working for two stuffs at once. She wanted to help her fiance for their marriage ceremony... and then, she still have her brother who currently staying in same house with her and her fiance. Her parents... well, you can say they're working for their own end meet. They're in huge debt because lately the business haven't gone well... they're still crawling but otherwise fine, but they unable to pay her brother's tuition fee. Miho-nee thinks it's very very very unforgivable thing if he stopped right there, so she volunteered to took him. So as you can see, kicked out from job is the last thing she want to have. She'll definitely be extra furious if she got fired..."
"Done talking about me? Get on to your work now," Mihoshi suddenly slammed the test paper on Ryouta's table. The black haired boy gulped and quickly get on to the questions.
"No helping him unless you want to get big fat 0 in my test."

Duffer turned to look at Yuu, helping to prop the dazed Kotemon into a chair. "Who's Pyramid Head? Seriously, you're bringing him up every two or three sentences, it's getting kinda annoying..." He asked, trying to shake Kotemon out of a stupor. "Hey, hey, wake up!" Kotemon slumped over. "Aw man, is there any water in the pool because I think I might need some to wake him... her... it... Kotemon up." He blinked at the teacher's commands as she left. "Reflect themselves? Like in a mirror?"
Duffer frowned and tried to get back to Kotemon. "Man Kyo, you hit sent 'em really deep. You think he's in a coma or something? I hope not, then he'll have to deal with Freddy Krueger. I don't care who you are, you can't kill him unless you've got a machete, a hockey mask, and serious mommy issues..."
Yuu regarded Duffer as if he was some kind of alien for a second, trying to discern if he was being truly serious or not as he typed. "And I thought you were the pop horror nut. Silent Hill? Does that name ring a bell? It's a classic dude! You can't say you know horror until you have played that game! Okay, I'm getting off topic... But, to be honest, you don't have the right to say annoying to no one... It's as if Kyo said childish to somebody"
Kyo, Obviously touched by the commentary, took her turn to speak up. "Hey! I'm this way because I choose to! You you really want me to be all that uptighty and bothersome as Ayaka-chan? She's so unbearable when she goes all 'Oh you are being disrepectful! Stop being unmannered or I will really consider disliking you!' She doesn't even use the thing that makes words shorter, Yuu-ottousan! She's WEIRD!" "Aphostrophes aren't things, Kyo, and they're called 'contractions'" "Well, whatever! She's still weird!" she paused for a second before speaking to Duffer "Well, he has almost a hockey mask and his wooden stick thingy's maybe a machete! But... What's behind Kotemon-sensei's helmet? It's like that chapter from those ninja series, Yuu-ottousan! When the students tried to discover what was behind their sensei's mask and it was just another mask! We have to totally see that chapter again!" Who was being more unbearable, Duffer or Kyo? Choices, choices...
"Reflect on their actions is what I mean... but apparently, it's useless to try doing that... Alright, then there's just one way to wake that mon up... Why don't you splash him with this? It's my special brew herbal tea..." Mihoshi gave Duffer about a liter worth of some... strange liquid. It's red, and from the smell alone, it's seem to be really really really bitter. "Ah, don't worry about food poisoning. I myself drink it all the time, so I guess it's fine."
At the horror talks, Ryouta just looking paler and paler by seconds. He really want to get out of this class, really fast at it. Looking at that, Mihoshi smirked. She want to tease him, but the matter is... he's seem not in mood for that kind of thing. Doing that would be something sueable anyway. Mihoshi cleared her throat and put her index finger on her lips as usual.
"Someone is having test, please be quiet..."
"Done!" Ryouta said as he slammed his pen down
"Eh!? Really now... let's see..."
...As expected, it's barely readable as Ryouta is too distracted by the horror talks to truly write something decent. She glared at the boy, only to get sheepish grin from him. Mihoshi sighed, mouthed 'take the second follow-up test in my house' and gestures to three of them to follow her. This gonna be a really long day.

"Ooooh, now we're starting fights, are we tough guy? I... nevermind..." He frowned, realizing the teacher was still in the room. Duffer took the tea and looked visibly unpleased at the idea of drinking it, almost immediately splashing as much as he could into Kotemon's face... mask... helmet... thing. Coughing a- you know what he does as she wakes up, falling to the floor to try and get the sudden splash of liquid from its mouth. "You're not in a coma!" Duffer said happily, grabbing and hugging the mon close enough... so it couldn't reach the training sword in the holster. "Alright, Ms Karoshi, let's go."
Kotemon sighed, elbowing Duffer in the ribs so he would release the mon. "Duffer, her name is Mihoshi." Kotemon followed, naturally staying near the front of the pack so it would provide the illusion of leadership, even if it'd been shown that Kotemon wasn't nearly as mature as itself liked to make it out to be.
Well, now Yuu was really puzzled Duffer's behavior, after all, he was the one who asked about Pyramid Head. "You know Duffer-san... Uh nevermind" now he realized that for some reason or another, Ryouta seemed to be a afraid of anything slightly terrorific, even if it was only mentioned as commentary. "Ryouta-san, all those things are fictional, you know. I mean, there are enough digimon to cover all those horror tropes and replicate them because that's how digimon just work, but those shouldn't scare, as most of 'em can be defeated the old fashioned way"
He then heard how Mihoshi passed a sprayer with what she said was some kind of team, and that somehow woke up Kotemon. The group finally started following Mihoshi's steps, saving for Kyo, who seemed to be somewhat sad. "What is it, Kyo?" he obliviously asked, as she seemed to be somewhat distressed.
"Yuu-ottousan" she began sounding distressed "If I were to be deleted because Kotemon-sensei did something dumby like what he did today on a real fight, would you be mad at him and Duffer-san?"
Yuu blinked at the question, somewhat confused at the complexity of it "Do you really think that Kotemon would do such a silly and dumb mistake? Even if he's not that mature, I seriously doubt he would do that. Also, I why are you asking that? I didn't know you were one of those speculative types, Kyo".
"It's... nothing" she finally answered, smiling at him, yet there was something weird on that smile "Let's just go, Yuu-ottousan!"
But even then, Yuu couldn't but think about that strange question. Even if he wouldn't type it out loud, he cares a great deal for her.
And as the group finally arrived on the swimming pool for the middle school area, Mihoshi pointed at the now already emptied pool and passed each boy a deck brush. However, she took another one extra and give it to Kotemon. Her eyes like saying 'You're in this because you're the one that made the puppy howls. She can't clean stuff up and it'll be too awkward seeing a dog cleaning the pool, so you go take the responsibility'. The 25 years old teacher immediately hooked a long hose to the nearest water source and hands it to Ryouta.
"Alright, do your best for all of us. May we able to see each other in this school the next day," Mihoshi said, some of her tone implies she's joking, but there's a tone of lingering anger there.
"...err, aren't you being too overly dramatic?" Ryouta asked.
"Why don't you just start cleaning, Noguchi-kun? That way, we can get outta here as soon as possible and probably watch some Digiduel," Mihoshi retorted.

Kotemon gave an unhappy look to the teacher as it received a brush and was told to get to work. Duffer shared a similar sentiment but both of them had no place to argue and just went to work, mumbling about how much they hated school. As the two began cleaning and working, it became clear neither of them were actually... good at it. Duffer didn't seem to understand how to properly clean the thing and just spread the dirt around using the brush. Kotemon gave it its all but was ultimately too slow and too much of a perfectionist on the single location it worked on to be really effective. As they worked, the two began bickering over whose fault this was, Kotemon argued it was Duffer's for not just asking the parents to deliver his clothes to the school. Duffer argued it was Kotemon's for getting him in the vampire costume in the first place.
Finally, the two Breakfast Club rejects began giving each other the cold shoulder, no doubt to the delight of those who did not find the arguing funny, and just plain annoying. Then they started trying to dick each-other over. Duffer accidentally smeared some dirt over Kotemon's cleaned spots, not even realizing it. Kotemon responded by stepping on Duffer's foot. Duffer splashed Dirty water onto Kotemon, Kotemon pushed Duffer into the dirty water, soon both of them were wrestling in the filthy pool and contributing nothing but entertainment.
As Kyo bathed on the noon sun from the edge of the pool, she carefully watched Kotemon's and Duffer's funny interactions with a kind of... nostalgia, as if she wouldn't see them again, or as if thinking that their relationship was going to never be the same. Yuu obviously noticed the expression and grew more and more worried. The Kyo he knew wasn't that way. She was always happy, yet now it was as if she were a totally different 'mon. Yet, for some reason or another, every time that Yuu tried to make her talk about what she was thinking, she always made that smile that was not quite hers and said that it was nothing.
And well, Yuu too noticed that at the end of the day, Duffer and Kotemon were actually setting the cleaning of the pool back, so she approached Mihoshi to adress the issue. "Uh, Honma-sensei? I know that I'm nobody to say this, but that pair are actually making things go... slower instead than faster, so maybe you could give them a detention that doesn't impair Ryouta-san and me?"
Yeah, the teacher seemed to be just angry, but she also seemed to be a reasonable person, and Yuu didn't lose anything by asking... or at least he hoped so.
"...Honestly, that two..." Mihoshi angrily took the hose and spray the water at the troublemaker Digimon-Tamer duo. She really have to show her murderous side, doesn't she she? She sprays more and more, looking more and more pissed every single time. "...Do you want to get straight E in one of your class, kid? If your teacher saw this, they'll definitely give you one! I'm a merciful one... I won't give you an E, but I'll make sure that if you repeat this again, I'll make you my test subject for my pandora spices!"
"Anything but that..." Ryouta commented, shivering. Despite so, he's also a little bit pissed by the duo's act. Dracomon wanted to help, but the thing is, he's way too suspicious to be someone who can help the cleaning. And to just make the matter worse, he's not sure if they have enough time to see the duel. It's already quite late, and he still have to take the make-up test.
"Stop your immature act THIS INSTANT and report to me tomorrow morning on the first thing, because I'll definitely give you much more suited detention. That's all! You two dismissed and free to do whatever you want to do. But if you disturb these two again, I'll be happy to give you some more of my 'tea'! Tsumura-kun and Noguchi-kun, just clean that part where the dysfunctional duo just made mess of and you're free to go. We can continue this tomorrow."

As the two were hosed down, they ceased attacking each-other. As the water stopped and the two lay in the growing puddle, they were both sopping wet. "No ma'am..." Duffer mumbled while Kotemon just look angry. Upon hearing they were going to come back in the morning, the two began to leave, Duffer unhappy about waking up this early and Kotemon just unhappy in general.
As they entered the school to gather their stuff, Duffer blinked as he realized something. Taking out the digivice, he looked a bit worried and tried to shake it back into working condition. As the screen remained blank the two realized something very, very bad. "Th-the Digivice is broken!" The two gasped at the same time, horrified. Looking at each-other and grabbing everything they owned as fast as they could, they began making a beeline for the train station, praying to their respective gods it could be fixed.
As Duffer and Kotemon exited the area, Kyo got up with a sad expression and began to wave at them. "Goodbye, Duffer-san, Kotemon-sensei!" she said as the duo left the school. But what not even Yuu noticed on that moment was that Kyo had said "Goodbye" instead of "See ya!" or her other most usual and cheerier ways to say goodbye. She then laid down on the nearbier shade she found and began napping in there. At least her expression while sleeping seemed to be peaceful, and that set Yuu's mind to some kind of ease. As he returned to work and to try to undo Duffer and Kotemon's mess, he couldn't but type.
"Ryouta-san. Kyo has been really weird lately, and I don't know exactly why" he began "Have you seen her lately? After she howled at Kotemon it's as if she felt sad for whatever reason. I'm not the only one noticing this, right? Maybe I'm just being too paranoid and Kyo's just tired"
He geninely hoped that Kyo was just tired, because the portent the little ebony dog had given to him wasn't spelling anything good. And he frankly prefered not to think about what he'd do if what she said were to happen.
Mihoshi apologized to the two boys and told them briefly that she'll be returning back to teacher office for a bit. She also told them that she'll bring them some food from cafeteria, although she did said to them sadly they cannot choose as her budget is dwindling. She left the two boys for some time alone.
"...Yeah, I know I'm dense, but... even I understand that Kyo is not in her usual mood," Ryouta said, looking at the small dog Digimon. "...Sorry, may I state my opinion? She's... let's say, the first time we met her, she's very hyper and funny, I think I'm really entertained by her... there's a really naive part on her that sometimes could make you angry, but at the same time, you can't get angry for long at her. You can't help but to adore her... She's embodiment of all the cheerfulness bundled in one, don't you think? But..."
He eyed the small Digimon, hoping she's still asleep. "...Say, Karin told me something happened at one night. She's crying... What's up? Did something really bad happened?"
