The sounds of the busy city blared out in Shibuya, as usual as it always did, even if there was someone who wasn't really used to it. The sunny skies, warm weather was the best mix for anyone to come out and enjoy some fun in the sun for those who's summer break was just beginning. But in Mio's case summer meant more gaming time, as of in her room above her uncle's game shop sat Minori herself. Sitting on her bed, her console and TV on, playing a typical RPG with a few of her friends, as the screen displayed a maligent old dungeon blazed with uniquely colored flames surrounding the players. Where stood four characters; A Beast Tamer with a golden dragon spirit of sorts by her side, A blonde knight, green haired Orc berserker and a spellcaster.
On the other side of the flaming ring was a massive, bipedal monster; a lizardman of sorts. With the hefty body and tusks of a boar, eyes as cold and callous as a dragon's, and a pair of slender, clad in gold-blue armor across its body. All that was left unaccounted was the giant Greatsword in its hand, which swished and slashed around, reflecting the light of the raging wall of fire. Snarling at the four heroes with a venomous snarl, it was looking to end this here and now; to put down the heroes that had so bravely challenged it.
The beast roared, as it unleashed it's cursed flame attack as it dealt a massive damage to the party as their health bars was already low, followed by the swarmed Kabold minions with their own attacks but was blocked with a temporary shield spell before using a healing spell giving the party most of their health back.
"Man those forums wasn't kidding about this Dungeon’s boss!” One voice piped up from the VC.
“Say I agree with you Aya-chan, But thanks Haruna!”
A small “no problem” answered the original voice as the party continues on with the fight. Their battle has gone one for an approximate of two hours without an end since the beginning of the the dungeon battle.
Minori agreed with this as this was one of toughest bosses for this floor facing against Kobald Lord Daraam.
While mashing buttons on her controls, with her beast tamer responding ingame with commands of her dragon breathing ice freezing each Kabolds with a ice based before attacking with her dagger. She was glad on grinding so much with training with her crystal dragon.
"Mio! Genji! You two follow in a combo, Haru back us up with a support spell.” Aya commanded. “we’ll finish up the Kabold first and then the boss!”
Her screen would flash green briefly with the sense of each of the party members having several status boosts including in damage critical. Mio took this chance to attack by inputting a couple of combo buttons to initiate an attack with her tamed beast, a Dragon to pull off a ranged move to take out a small squad of the remaining Kabold warriors as two other party members a Knight and a Berserker would go forwards to follow up in the move with both using a combo move with the Berserker bringing down his Axe and decimating half of last of the Kabold and the knight finishing the last one.
“The final battle.” She thought. Minori and her party were so close to winning.
So with the party being prepared to take down the boss as quickly as they could. With the Spellcaster casting another support spell as the Kabold came in on the party with a ranged fire attack.
“Oh crap not another one!”
Most of the party managed to evade all except for… Mio’s avatar who basically couldn't dodge in time and took the brunt of damage from the blow. “Crap…” she thought; Her health bar hitting the medium zone nearly to the red zone as she winced.
“Come on! We're almost there, we need to hang on and finish this boss battle!” Haru said. A resounding chorus of agreements echoed on the VC with Minori herself agreeing as well.
So working together and pulling that combo move, they managed to hack down the large HP of the Kobold warrior in this back and forth tirade along with the occasional calling of more Kabold soldiers to fight the party. Minoi was sweating… sweating really hard as she didn't want to lose, she did so much to get to this dungeon to try and be the first to beat it!
“Come on! Come on! Let's goooo!”
So with some more conversations and determination resounding, The last blow was struck with the Kobold Lord finally collapsing and bursting into pixel with Minori getting up from her bed and in awe.
They cleared the Dungeon… they finally cleared the Supposed hardest Dungeon!
“Omigosh! We did it!” She cheered. “Hell yeah!” Genji cried on the VC. But the joy was short termed as once they celebrated an alarm went off in game with minori freezing as she stared at the screen.
“You gotta be kidding me..”
It was back… the Dungeon’s boss was back, the Kobold Leader was standing there; Albeit a little different with its scales being black and its armor being different without forgetting the notable difference of it not wielding a greatsword… it was wearing clawed Gauntlets of sorts to Minori’s slight worry with her noticing, There was No HP bar on it. “That’s not good.” Mio thought, having a bad feeling about this. Obviously her feeling was correct with things soon taking a very much worst turn.
And that was very not good as it begins attacking the party as their attempts to defend themselves was futile as of one by one each party member was decimated with Minori’s beast Tamer still remaining; Clicking on as much buttons as she can on the controller as she moves around trying to deal damage or to beat this thing as the boss was focusing on her.
“You're next….”
She couldn't believe it, the boss was addressing her and she didn't think this was possible. No one in the media or in the forums mentioned this about the boss suddenly changing and becoming unbeatable! And now here she was facing the end as she witnessed her dragon get absolutely destroyed by the boss with her soon being attacked with the screen glitching out with the words:
Game Over…
There was silence in the VC and in her room, stunned by what just happened and could not believe it. “What the heck… did we just witness?” Aya asked. No one had words as of the prior events.
“No idea, But I think we should report this to the devs, it's probably a bug or something.” Haru advised.
Sounds of agreements resounded in the VC. “Yeah… I’ll send the email to the Devs to tell them about this.” Mio answers. “Anyway I gotta sign off, see ya.” She said with everyone saying goodbye to her. With silence soon returning for the utmost time; She couldn't shake the thought that the boss was actually staring directly past her character… and straight at her. Like it could see her, and she shivered at that. Mio just decided to crash and go to sleep, Buuuuut things decided to say no with that starting by her desktop blinking on indicating she gotten an email.
She clicks it reading it.

Hello, AwesomegirlMio67! We would like to thank you for playing our game and here's a link from us to receive our gift.
And what showed below was the said link... But what was the gift and why would they do this?
She couldn't believe it… an email that belonged to the game creators of a once popular game before they shut down. Mio stared and reread the words, once. Twice and even three times! She couldn't believe it that they messaged her and a gift after all these years. But she could think that this was a scam; After all she heard tales of people getting scam mail all the time her mind was telling her one thing but her heart was telling her to click it. She didn't know what to do…. And so she clicked it.
