There was an almost childish curiosity about the tiny creature she held in one arm, his eyes seeming dazzled by the patterns of light combing through the trees. She, however, wasn't all that impressed. They were outside, after all. And here she was, keen on staying in the air conditioned wonderland of the indoors. While she complained the whole way, it was pretty obvious that she was weak to the "puppy dog eyes" treatment. The little smart aleck really knew how to work his way around convincing her. Where did he learn that, anyway? Definitely not her! Must have been all of that television he'd been watching for the past week or so.
"I'm tellin' ya, Yui! I smelled it! Or, them. I don't know, I just know there's a digimon or two nearby," Gummymon chirped excitedly, wiggling about in her grasp, "Adventure! Adventure! Adventure!"
The girl sighed in an exasperated manner, shaking her head, "How can you smell them if you don't have a nose, Gummymon?" She lifted he lunchbox she'd been holding in her other arm, "And even if you did smell anything, it would probably be the lunch mom packed for us." And at least she knew that the little guy couldn't pass up a good lunch, hungry for adventure or not. She wasn't entirely sure how she felt about meeting another one of these digimon. Mostly, she wasn't sure if she could split this lunchbox into threes or fours. She quickly hushed the little digimon, which proceeded to chant, "Lunch! Lunch! Lunch!", as she looked for a bench to set up shop at.
She'd been watching over Gummymon for the past week, and while he seemed as though he was competent to mostly take care of himself, she couldn't seem to stop him from bugging her about his insatiable boredom. Sure, she wasn't exactly active or anything, but her gaming could be an adventure of it's own! Unfortunately, however, she found that he hadn't had the attention span for these things. Still, she found that her life was.. brightened, somehow, by having him around. She never knew that taking care of another living thing would feel rewarding.
"Miss Mom sure does pack a mean lunch, Yui!" The creature hopped up and down as she set him on the table before her, and she sat down on the wooden bench. As she fed the little guy by hand, she crinkled her nose as he proceeded to eat the carrots she'd been handing him whole.
"Hey, slow down there, speed racer. You don't need to eat it so fas--"
Before she was able to get out another word, the digimon let out a large sneeze in her direction, which caused her face to be covered by some sort of glue-like substance. She grimaced, moving to wipe it away with a hand, before her expression faltered.
"Don't. You dare. Say a word," she began, attempting to remove her hand from her face. It was stuck. "GUMMYMON!"
