"Best be that way, Leader-dono," Kon-chan replied, although a bit coldly. Perhaps she hates indiscipline most? Then again, it's not important as they ventured deeper inside the cave. Koharu seem to be a bit more cheerful right now, and as such, the female Commandramon also relaxed herself slightly, although still cautious enough to see if there could be something like sudden ambush or anything similar... Dokugumon and Pipismon comes to mind when it comes to the insides... as for the outsides... she hoped it's just something along level of Hyogamon, and not something much higher...
"My thoughts about Karin and Yuuki? Karin is really a cute tsundere that actually a big softie. She's a bit lonely, and seem to hides her problem... not like all of us doesn't, but... yeah, she tried her best to not concern anyone in what she's doing and she's pretty secretive, but she won't betray anyone she considers a friend. She's very loyal, and by loyal, I mean FIERCELY loyal... Yuuki... he has changed a lot since the childhood. He's used to be much more cheerful, much more charismatic, like a natural born leader. He's used to be so caring and all, and he's also to be so trusting to his comrades... but somehow, now he turned rather plain, and seem to be afraid of something. When I ask what's up, instead of telling, he goes 'it's nothing', waving it off like he's afraid of involving me. It's kinda frustrating when he does that... it's like he's trying to brace it all, but failed so miserably."
The girl's eyes widened in shock when she heard Mana and Ryouta dated... DATED!? "...Wait a sec! What happened with that Charles guy? I swear Karin told me that Mana ended up with a guy named Charles!? She herself even said she want to confess to him back in our Scramble Crossing hangout time... It's not that I'm not happy that she ended up with Ryouta, but... Don't tell me the relationship with Charles doesn't work out? Anyway, from your gestures, somehow it's almost like he want him to hear..."
The girl sighed, but still... she took out her D-Terminal and typed something to Ryouta.
To: Noguchi Ryouta <Aniki>, Tsumura Mana <Manacchi> From: Nakano Koharu <Haru> Subject: You're Busted
I'm with Manacchi's big bro. Guess what? You guys got busted. I'm also sendin' this to Mana because Mana would surely hear sooner or later... So, dated, huh? First, congratulations... second, Mana, we need to talk later... Me, you and Karin. Three of us, we need to talk. Do tell when you're ready.
"...I already know how naive Manacchi is..." Koharu commented after closing her D-Terminal. "It's rather a worrying stuff, yeah... but hey... if you're that girl's ani (big bro), I'm that boy's imouto in some sense, you know? Lemme tell you, Ryouta's not the type that will take advantage of her. If he does date her, then it's not because of pity or anything similar, but out of pure love. Now, now, I understand your stance as a big brother, because I'm also a big sister... but... trust me, Ryouta aren't like that. He won't do anything that she hates... or what you hates, because I'm sure, he'll also grow to love you as a brother... That guy is just like that, funny, huh?"
Koharu smiled slightly, but she suddenly grinned mischievously. "You know, if you talk bad about the guy who took care of me for four years since that hell... If I have a harisen, I'll smack you hard on top of your head."

Yuu nodded slowly to Kon-chan's warning. Dang, he had to remember to not to get on this dino soldier's bad side. She was kinda scary. He didn't know if Ayaka-level of scary, but scary nonetheless. He smiled at the descriptions of her friend's attitudes, as they were rather spot on how Yuu perceived them. But before he could further discuss that, Koharu seemed to be really surprised that Ryouta and Mana dated. But then... a little sad? She even brought out her D-Terminal and wrote a mesage, but Yuu didn't know what to think of it, until his very own beeped soon after.
To: Tsumura Yuu <Nii-san>, Nakano Koharu <Haru-chan>, Noguchi Ryouta <Ryo-kun>. From: Tsumura Mana <Mana-chan> Subject: Re: You're Busted
Gosh, how did you find out, Nii-san? It seems as if I couldn't keep a secret from you, I'm so embarassed about it!... but don't be mad with Ryo-kun, okay? It's not his fault and we're really happy together! Oh, and okay, Haru-chan! We'll have that talk soon! Right now I'm preparing to attend one of my newest friend's recital in some hours. I'm sure it'll be a blast! I've to go and buy some stuff, see ya!
As he closed his D-Terminal after reading the message, Yuu... smiled? slightly before addressing Koharu's question about what he thought of Ryouta. As they advanced towards the strange shimmer's source. When they got there, it seemed that it was coming from a slit on the cavern's wall. It was big enough for him to pass throught it somewhat comfortably, so Koharu could pass through it too.
"I know, I've spoken with Ryouta, and I've already told Karin what was my posture in these matters. It's not that Ryouta is not an overall great guy that has my respect and that even has the chance to win my approval as brother some day, but the fact is that Mana-chan's just too prone to get confused in her feelings. I wouldn't surprise me that some guy had helped her in someway and then she had developed a crush on him only because of that. I want to believe that what she feels for Ryouta is way more than that, but if it isn't, and Ryouta hurts her because of that, I wouldn't know what to do. I would symphatize with him for the sucky situation, but mistreating my sister in any way is off limits to everybody. So, don't misinterpret how do I feel towards Ryouta, please. And also..." he gulped as the scarlet began to ascend towards his face "You look way more cuter when you are actually smiling, Koharu-san".
Having said that, he entered into the slit of the wall, testing his luck on what could lie ahead, and just too nervous to watch how Koharu would react to those words. He could only hope that if he had blown it, at least he'd have time to think of an apology before he exited this narrowish passage.

Ah, honestly, she's feeling all better right now... However, she still need to talk to Ryouta and Mana about their relationship and how they're going to deal with Mana's ex-boyfriend. She'll also will make sure that the two of them won't just do this as short as Mana did to Charles. The girl is still young, very young, but... that's not much a reason to just simply leave someone, right? Then again, Mana seem the type that got confused a lot, hence... she'll took it to her heart to help her... And her own D-Terminal beeped at the same time as Yuu's. She was too focused on his talk to reply soon, but after he done talking about his opinion of Ryouta, the girl smiled and read the message... the moment she read it, her tears fell again... Her expression became distressed yet again.
To: Tsumura Mana <Manacchi> From: Nakano Koharu <Haru> Subject: Take Care of Her
...I'm sorry, I'm such a bad sister... please... please take care of her until I have the courage to face her. Also, if I didn't reply three days from your time... assume there's something really bad happened... that or I don't even have the courage to return back home.
And just like that, she turned off her D-Terminal, not wanting to see anything from it anymore... at least not now. She doesn't even bothered to listening to Yuu's praise. If only she's in better mood, probably she'll tease him for being such a cute dork for praising her like that, and she would tell him that she'd date him if he could say something much better than that and focuses his world to her.
Of course, all in teasing manner.
But right now... Aria is the only one in her mind... She wanted to make it all right, but there's still this small hatred inside her heart... It's sickening, really sickening.

Agh, so much for his boldness. Koharu seemed to have totally ignored him and now she was concentrated in a message she was sending, so he began to suspect the worst case; maybe she already had a boyfriend? It wouldn't be a surprise to him, actually, as the girl just seemed to be a happy girl that at the same time made you want to protect, praise and... Okay, enough. Thinking that he'd do the necessary inquiries afterwards, he concentrated in the task at hand, ignoring his D-Terminal's single beeping. He'd have a lot of time for checking messages after Koharu and him were out of this cave and hopefully on their way to a relatively safe place.
To: Tsumura Yuu <Nii-san>, Nakano Koharu <Haru-chan> From: Tsumura Mana <Mana-chan> Subject: Wait a minute...
I just realized his, but nii-san and Haru-chan together? I thought you didn't know each other! You gotta tell me all the details afterwards, but I only will say one thing as of now: I KNEW IT!
To: Tsumura Nakano Koharu <Haru-chan> From: Tsumura Mana <Mana-chan> Subject: Re: Take Care of Her
Will do. Just leave it to me, Haru-chan! I trust that you'll do it in the end!
As Yuu exited from the slit, he found himself himself in what seemed to be a huge mining cave that extended itself way longer than what Yuu could see. The whole place was illuminated by a strange and everpresent artificial light, resembling electrical lighting, but the boy couldn't pinpoint exactly where was the light's source. Mining tools such as picks littered the floor, apparently abandoned in the place for who knows how long. Weird, if people that was mining this place went away, why they left their tools behind? This seemed fishy "Whoa" Kyo said, marveled at the entire thing "What this is supposed to be, Yuu-ottousan?".
Yuu shrugged, her usual way of saying 'beats me' and began examining the cave, searching for any interesting detail. And he noted it. Nearby one of the most nearby abandoned picks, he saw what it seemed to be piece of written paper. He got closer, and picked it up. It said something...
WANTED: BLACK HEMATITE Frostypick Mining Co. is currently buying all the possible quantities of Black Hematite it can get its hands upon. Any decent-sized chunk of it will be bought on the spot for a great amount of money, and the more, the better! Visit our Headquarters in Snowflake Village for more information!
A little puzzled by the message, he went back to the entrance, supposing that Koharu and Kon-chan had already gone through the slit, and showed the note to Koharu. "What do you think of this? Apparently, that's a pretty valuable mineral, but all these abandoned mining tools make me uneasy... It's almost as if the ones that were searching for this so-called 'Black Hematite' ran away or worse... maybe someone or something got them".
OOC: HARD LABOR 2 ends in Koharu's next post.

The walk was uneventful. Kon-chan readied her firearms should everything goes wrong, but regardless, the small dino Digimon was concerned even more at Koharu. What makes it worse, she even ignored everything Yuu said, which is not a good sign because she always afraid to offend someone... spacing out is really out of question for Nakano Koharu... but here she did... this is not good at all, which says a lot about Koharu's stress level.
Just before she about to console the raven haired, they arrived somewhere... suspicious. Artificial lighting, unknown from where... then, there are a lot of mining tools... strangely, it's like it's abandoned. Koharu's mood changed from down to serious. She have no idea about whether movies are true or not, but assuming that something from there is right then... High chance that first the mine is poisonous, but Kon-chan does not react at all, which brings the question of whether it's really poisonous... or the second, something eliminating all the miner 'mons here.
Yuu seem shared her suspicion. The girl wiped all the leftover tears she have and took the paper on Yuu's hand, giving it a read.
"....Kyo-chan, do you sense anything funny in the air?" Koharu asked. "Kon-chan doesn't seem to react... and... somehow I felt like these guys actually dug something... forbidden."

HARD LABOR [3/4] Kyo landed on the ground gracefully, and started to sniff the ground as if she were a dog. Her semblant looked to be quite serious, in contraste to the playfulness she had displayed to Koharu and Kon-chan previously. "Um, nothing but what I've first smelled in here, onee-chan" the Tsukaimon said after she was done "Rusty metal, most likely from the picks, rocks... a lot of them, fresh air, probably because this caves are ventilated somehow and digimons, most likely this place's workers... or previous workers, depending if we find them or not. Their scent lingers in the direction of the cave, so most likely we'll find them, or whatever is left of them if we advance".
The Tsukaimon began to sniff the nearby picks and walls, in hoping of catching something that she hadn't caught as of yet, so Yuu was left with Koharu's question. Something... forbidden? "Forbidden, you say?" he asked with worry "Forbidden as in some kind of monster or something like that? It's... a possibility. It'd requiere a good deal of strength to seal the cave's entrance in that way, but I don't know if whatever is lurking in here, in the case something is lurking in here and the thing that trapped us inside here are the same thing. But we won't know until we find out, I guess, and in the case that there's something lurking in here, I'm not waiting until it finds us".
Having nothing else to say, he recalled Kyo, who had found nothing new in her search of the nearby place and just advanced in the direction the mine extended itself. As tunnel grew wider, if anyone gave a look at the walls, he'd notice that it progressively began to host even bigger quantities of a blackish stone that shimmered faintly when the light hit on them. It was really pretty, and Yuu guessed that this was the famous 'Black Hematite' the paper talked about. He guessed it was a precious stone that was really valuable, and found the fact... interesting. He began to wonder if he could get a bit for himself, as most likely the reward would be really worth it and they were already there, but the precious mineral just seemed to be firmly attached to the stone, so it'd take a good amount of actual mining to take it, and frankly that wasn't worth the effort, at least in his current situation.
As they advanced, the picks that previously littered the floor were being slowly replaced by big three-clawed slash-like marks that began to populate the walls, and even they were some smashed rocks, as if a really big mace had hit the tunnel somewhere. Yuu began to think about them, as they seemed to have been done by multiple similar beings, instead of only one. Some meters ahead, Kyo saw a piece of cloth, an quickly flew to where it was, fetching it to Yuu. It was a badly burnt orange fabric, similar to the material used to make protective mining clothes. In it, there were some words sewn in it 'Terminus Mining Company: Groundramon Division' "Groundramon?" Yuu 'asked' to no one in particular, just before offering the piece of cloth to Koharu in the case she wanted to examinate it "Sounds like a pretty powerful digimon, or at least one that's very good at digging things if it had its own division. Do any of you know about it? Maybe it's related to whatever happened in here".
Kyo, of course denied with her head. She didn't even know what species Kon-chan was, and she had her just in front of her.

Kyo gave Koharu her assessment, which made the raven haired girl tried to rethink the situation a while... Rustic iron, probably that's fine, but... it's looks like the scent of the workers lingers somewhere from here... Picks and everything... might not be miner specialized Digimon, maybe just some newbies hoping to gain something really worthwhile? The paper does sounds like they're about to get something really... really good. Something that they thought worthwhile to risk their life for... or? Are they just simply too reckless?
"Yeah, I'm thinking it's that way... I agree, Kon-chan isn't in level to face against something higher than Champion... If we're to face some high leveled Digimons like this, then... we'll be screwed... What about Kyo-chan? How strong is she? Most of all, I don't like any form of sacrifice."
"As much as I want to boast about my endeavor in my previous life in battlefield, I have to very much agree on what Koharu said. I'm not in my past life, and therefore, I might be way too weak for this. I cannot assure my very own survival, but if things goes wrong... Yuu-dono, I'd like you to get Koharu away from here... Promise me that."
"W-WH..."
"Of course this is purely hypothetical and if our enemy is a champion. If our enemy is an ultimate, then I'll be mostly distract its attention temporarily with flash bombs and whatnots, and I'll follow you to run. I'm talking a situation where I'd most likely have a chance to win."
Koharu seem calmed down a bit at that. She sighed, but regardless, voices her dislike to the plan.
"You know you'll be weaker if I'm not around, right?"
"It's a soldier's duty to protect civilian... and on top of it... you're my partner, hence, it'll be double my responsibility to do it. Again, this is just a pure 'what if' situation, Koharu."
Moving deeper, it's apparent that the black hematites probably are something that located deep inside the rock wall around them... Still, why is it not dug yet? Is it probably not enough for the quality? And then again, the eeriness of the situation seem to be added by the number of the claw marks on the walls... Even Kon-chan looks really worried about it. Right when she's about to assess it more, Kyo seem found something... A badly burnt fabric is so totally not what she wanted to see.
"....Groundramon?"
She quickly opened her D-Terminal, turning it on again. After reading a message from Mana, there's a message from Ryouta.
To: Nakano Koharu <Koharu> From: Noguchi Ryouta <Ryouta> Subject: She's Fine
She's shaken, but... she decided to perform today. Where are you? It'll be in four hours! If you already know you cared that much for her, then get your ass here!!
She felt glad at that... a really relieved smile graced her face. However, she's not in here for this. She need to ask him about something.
To: Noguchi Ryouta <Ryou-ani> From: Nakano Koharu <Haru> Subject: No time, Data plz
Can you send me data of Groundramon? We're in huge trouble. Dunno if you already read my message, well, that's not important... basically I'm with Yuu. I want to return him to Mana in one piece, so please, give me.
Few minutes after replying, a data arrived to Koharu's D-Terminal. The girl linked it to her Digivice and showed the result to Yuu.
"...I remembered Manacchi told me that Dark-Ryouta have a Groundramon at his disposal... it's a ground dragon Digimon that no longer can fly, but seem to infests motherlode of Huanglong Ore, which means it's quite hard to beat... Anyway, there you go... Hopefully it can help us, even a bit."

At Kon-chan's words about protecting her partner until the last consequences, should a grievous situation arise, Yuu only smiled. He admired the dedication of the little dino soldier, but he also knew better than to throw a life away that easily. Especially one that meant so much to the girl he was failing hard at hitting on. "Don't worry, Kon-chan, just trust in me. If something bad happens, I'll get Koharu out of here, but I'm not the type that leaves soldiers behind, you know. If it can be helped, I'll get us four out of this place in no time. I just need to figure how this place works and where's another entrance".
And yet, he closed his fists in slight anger when the dragon reminded him how weak he and Kyo were. He knew that it wasn't bad intentioned, but it hurt still. "We have our first Digimental, but Kyo's Pteramon X form isn't the most adequate for these narrow spaces with little to no maneuveraberable space, so rookie only" being reminded of that fact frustrated Yuu; it was his fault that Kyo was weak, as everyone else had hit champion a while ago and even Mana was at perfect, while him was still stuck in rookie. He figured that if had given Kyo a proper amount of time, she'd be at perfect at least, and that way they'd busted out of the rock that block their path easily. Maybe Koharu would have even squealed something like 'My hero!' or something like that. He'd liked it indeed...
Dang, concentrate Yuu! You'd have plenty of time to fail at hitting on this girl as soon as you exit this cave (if she doesn't have a boyfriend, that's it). He sighed deeply, trying again to clear his mind of the hopeless attraction he felt towards the black-haired girl and just tried to pay as much attention as he could to the girl's words, adding into them the info that was relayed into his D-3.
"So, if this piece of cloth belonged to a Groundramon, a perfect digimon of all things, and it's burnt, it means that whatever is lurking in here was really strong to attack them... or really bold and stupid, who knows". As they kept advanced, Yuu associated the slash and bash marks on the walls, matching them with the Groundramons' wings and tail sizes. Judging by their appearance, it seemed that there were more than a couple of them in here, meaning that this place had a pretty active mining operation. Why it had dissapeared into thin air, then?
Sighing again, he kept advancing forward, and just as he did so, the path divided itself into two; one was the cave that went downwards as it became more and more wide, and the other was a solid wall of rock that had... a door-shaped entrance. The lights were dimming in either way, so it was impossible to see exactly what was inside of them. And thus, there was only one option to solve the problem at hand.
"What do you think of this, Koharu-san?" he 'asked' with a thoughtful expression "The door sems to lead to a more narrowish passage; maybe it leads to an important place or something like that. On the other hand, the widening tunnel... I don't like the fact that it descends even further. We were at the foot of the mountain when we entered, so I doubt that something that descends further will take us out of here. Yet, maybe I'm missing something. Thoughts?"

Hearing that, Kon-chan smirked in rather teasing, rather reminding manner. "...Oh, that would be so heroic and most preferable, Leader-dono, but you see, it'll be good if you can control your spacing out habit, and that would be cooler for girls, even for soldiers like me."
She quickly goes back to the realty soon, though, as Yuu gave brief detail about how his partner's higher form can work... Yes, he's right... Pteramon X wouldn't work good here. Without the room to fully evade or to move themselves, then this would be far beyond their ability to counter against ultimate... Not that she thinks that it'll be good anyway... Still... the boy spacing out again.
"...Hey," she reminded. Lucky that he quickly returned back to realty, or she'd have to send him to la la land by hitting him on the head and dragging him around. Still, finally Yuu spoke up what he thought of the stuff. Koharu agreed, nodding now and then... Even so, if it's much stronger than a Groundramon, what are their chance of surviving? It's almost like if they're heading out to immediate kill...
"...I wondered... if the worker here already deleted..." Koharu commented, very afraid of that prospect. In that case, who did it might as well as being a Mega.
Not helping that they're presented with choices again...
"I'm not... fond of going in dark, because... we don't know exactly what's there, but... It's even more terrifying to think what kind of creature might actually be in there when we descended down... Now, the thing is... the door sounded like a trap, somehow... but the descending route felt like really disadvantageous if we were to consider how wide it is... in case a Digimon appeared... All in all, I'll leave it to you, Yuu-kun."

Yuu blushed lightly at Kon-chan's tease, while dismissing it with a wave of his hand. Dang the dino soldier, but maybe that was her way of saying that Koharu was free? Concentrate, Yuu, concentrate.
As they kept walking, in the second time he spaced out, Kyo decided to hop down from Yuu's head, just in front of Kon-chan. "Give him a break, okay?" she said on a warning tone "Yuu-ottousan's giving his all, and the only thing you've done so far was complaining about him! It's not his fault that he finds Onee-chan cute!"
Yuu immediately squeezed Kyo as he lifted her. He was now red as a tomato. "Shut up, Kyo" the cellphone emitted on a dead serious tone "Don't distress Koharu-san further with your ramblings, as she's having enough already. Let's just advance"
Kyo smirked at her commentary having the effect that she had actually desired. From now on, Yuu had a cold expression on his face, not even looking at Koharu or Kon-chan unless it were for speaking to them or if he just had to.
Back in the crossroads, it seemed that Koharu was afraid of taking a direction, seemingly thinking that there were hazard in both ways. Well, they were his responsability, after all. "We'll take the small room route. Kyo, be aware of possible traps" he said as he turned on his phone's flashlight again.
Both the human and the Tsukaimon advanced slowly, but after they entering the room. They found that it looked like some kind of office with bookshelves and a desk. It even had a light switch in one of the walls, that Yuu pushed cautiously, but it seemed to live up to its name. "Place's clear!" Kyo announced to Koharu and Kon-chan.
While giving it a better look, it was a rather simple office, yet it had a certain eeriness to it. The bookshelves were empty, and dust covered the furniture in the place. Yuu began examining the desk, but didn't find anything until he found something that resembled a book in one of it's drawers. Blowing into it to disperse the dust that covered the cover, it read 'THE FOREMAN'S DIARY'. Well, it seemed that they were up for some answers. Yuu set the book in the desk, looking at its title intently. "You ready for this? Maybe it'll tell us things we don't want to read" he warned to Koharu as he began opening the the book.
The Foreman's Diary Day 1 Today, the order to explore this place was issued. Hopefully we'll find large amounts of this stone. I'm already imagining the profit.
Some pages later... Day 10 This place is FULL of that stone! I'm gonna be rich, yay! We're even trying to compulsively recruit civillians, as our current workforce alone can't handle this veins. It's just huge! As of today, I'm issuing a request for a squad of Groundramons to come and help. This place is a literal gold mine!
Day 11 The Groundramons reached here today! For some reason, they seem to be attracted by the stone, and thus they mine it relentlessly. The first cargo was already dispatched to Terminus!
"Uh..." Yuu 'said' somewhat confused "As of now, it seems that this couldn't be going better "Wonder if this thing will give us a clue of what happened in here".

"My apologies, I'm not in my greatest mood, so it may affect my judgement a bit... however, I still think it's crucial to not being distracted at leading," Kon-chan commented, although it's seem that she's taking Kyo's comment at face value. However, Koharu, not willing to make the mood goes downhill anymore, quickly jumped at the little comment about her attractiveness.
"Oh? I do? Thank you very much, Yuu-kun! That's so sweet of you... you know, I heard your comment just now... so... are you actually hitting on me? I don't mind direct approach, honestly... it's rather refreshing. However, you'll need more than just that to be my boyfriend," she grinned, poking him on the cheek. " If you did this right, maybe I'll consider it... who knows. I'm kind of wanting one, anyway... Mana made me a lil' bit jealous, Karin, too."
"...Why are you flirting in this kind of situation is very beyond me..." the Commandramon commented, sighing, but regardless, grinning wryly.
"What? Are you jealous, too? Maybe you should g---"
"NOT.A.CHANCE!" the soldier Digimon denied firmly before she can finished her sentence.
The group finally chose to goes through the smaller route. Kon-chan helped Yuu by pointing her small flashlight on direction where Yuu's flashlight cannot reach. And apparently, later they found an eerily very empty office. Koharu already got chills when she's in this kind of place. The girl grabbed Yuu's clothes fabric firmly, like afraid of a ghost would pop out. But basically, rather than ghosts... she's afraid if it'll be zombies instead.
Still, when he read the diary, the more it felt odd...
"...Keep reading. I don't think it just ends there..."

At Koharu teasing him, he looked like he was pissed of, almost as if someone had told him a bad joke. When she poked him in the cheek, he seized the moment and grabbed her hand within his. He looked at her with an expresion that would look to be cold to the casual onlooker, but inside of it there was... affection. A really warm kind of affection.
"I don't try, Koharu-san. With all honesty, I'm just a dork that happens to be a good listener and that needs an electronic apparatus to talk. No mysteries, no second meanings, all face value. I live true to myself every day, and even if life hasn't been really kind to me, I've made it better by my own efforts and with the help of select people. I can't promise to you that I'll be extremely cheesy or romantic, but only that I'd just love you by giving you my all, as I do with all the things that I want to achieve; and believe me, when I want to get something done, you can really count on me. That's who I am, and I doubt that I'll change any time soon; if you don't like it, you can reject me right now without any hard feelings; I've already promised to get both you and Kon-chan out of here, and if you need any help after that, I'll do my best to remain helpful, but at the end of the day... it's your choice if you want to pick me or not".
Yuu let go of it as he ended his confession, pretty happy with his words. He sighed deeply, feeling as if he were removing a heavy load from his shoulders. It was weird, but after saying those words, he actually looked to be more concentrated in the task of getting them out of here rather than in her crush with Koharu. Yuu operated on weird ways indeed.
Kyo giggled at the situation, happy that her little speech had sparked both Koharu's happiness and Yuu's confession. He was such a dork, as he prefered to stay silent and let his crush eat his mind slowly rather than just saying it and risk the result. Luckily, the boy seemed to be fine now.
Back at the Foreman's Diary. Yuu continued to flip the pages. They began to give a rather ominous message.
Day 20 Thanks to the Groundramons, we discovered an entirely new tunnel that's packed with the gems! The profits are multimillonaire! I'm going to be famous worldwide for this!
Day 21 Ten cargos were dispatched this day, all directed to Terminus to be processed and traded to other parts of the world. The payment has been humongous!
Day 22 A strange troupé of scientists have arrived this place today. Strangely enough, most of them were Dracomons, even if those don't strike to me as the smart type. They were interested in doing some research about the stone. I gave them permission, since they were paying me a hefty sum and they didn't bother my workers very much.
Day 23 In the depths of this cave, we discovered the richest vein of Hematite as of yet. The Groundramon's started to dig it immediately, but it was too hard, even for them to dig into. Strangely enough, when the troupé of Dracomons entered the place, one of them actually assimilated some of the stone and evolved! And it wasn't your everyday Coredramon to boot. It was way bigger, almost the size of a Greymon, and his body was pitch-back in constrast to the blue or green of the other Coredramons I've seen in my life. Strangely enough, this Coredramon seemed to be strong enough to carve this cave's walls and the only payment he demanded was for the other Dracomons to have free reign to study that place! It was a win-win!
"Well, I think that I know where this leads" Yuu 'said', sighing "Ready for the rest?"
It was really imperceptible as of now, but in the depths of the cave, in the most deep point of the mountain, something was stirring. The being let out a snort as he began to stretch his limbs. He felt... new beings in his territory. That couldn''t be forgiven.

Oh, that was rather surprising. Koharu froze when the boy suddenly grabbed her finger and looks at her directly on the eyes. Despite his cold expression, probably because he's not used to talking, his eyes felt... different. It's warm, caring... she felt... dunno, she felt as if her defense slowly penetrated. He... he suddenly told him many things that would make the old her squeal and probably blush. She's that kind of girly girl, yes. She's not as tomboy as Karin... surprise!
"...Wow, I... I'll surely give you the answer later, Yuu-kun... but I guess... you're the type that I needed, I think... keep your hope up, I think? But... I won't accept you as a boyfriend just yet... there's just something I have to do first... I think you'll hate me if I said it... but either way, I guess I really need a slap, so it's worth risking, so... let's survive for now."
Back on the diary, apparently it only get more and more ominous... Ryouta sent along with Groundramon's data some data about Coredramon and Dracomon... Dracomon evolves to Coredramon when they're exposed with ores or sort, which seems to be up to where it came from... And hearing this... perhaps, that something is... is a mutated Coredramon. Koharu shivered as she somehow had a bad premonition.
"...Kon-chan, help me try to find some hidden exit... I really don't want to return to the previous route before..."

Yuu couldn't but smile at Koharu's response. He knew that the girl was currently distressed and that her mind was troubled, yet she saw that underneath all those problems, the girl that stood there was definitely worth it, at least for him. "It's fine, Koharu-san. We'll survive first and then we'll talk about whatever you want to. I don't have much to do today, so if after this you want to speak about anything, I'm all ears".
Back into the diary... Now that Koharu and Kon-chan were searching for an exit, Kyo took the task of reading aloud what the journal said.
Day 30 More Dracomons evolved into the black variety of Coredramon, with the original one growing bigger and bigger with each passing day. As per the group's research notes, this variety of Coredramon can't fly, just as the green one, but compared to it, it's stronger, bigger and faster, yet is devoid of their usual breath weapons. Kind of a pure physical digimon without much hidden tricks, but that's exactly what we need to dig this place.
Day 31 The Groundramons began to grow uneasy today. The mining company recalled most of them, as they aren't required given that we have the new black Coredramons and they all seemed relieved to leave this place. Maybe they didn't like the competition and wanted to go to a place where their talents could be used more effectively. This only leaves three Groundramons under my command and a buch of rookies.
Yuu, tired of this charade, just went for the last written page.
Day 40 Today, the alarm bell was sounded. A loud roar was heard and most of the caves entrances were blocked soon after. I can't believe I'm caged in this damned place, of all things! I had enough money to retire after two entire months of digging and this hppaens! I can hear roars down below, but theres a voice that eclipses the rest. It's a dragon's terrifying roar that resonates louder than anything else. I've heard that this place has a secret escape route done by their previous inhabitants, hopefully I can find it before whatever lurks below finds me. If not, at least this diary will be a warning to whoever enters this Fanglongmon-forsaken cave. Or at least they'll see some pretty rocks embedded at this book's back cover.
Having read that, Yuu flipped the book only to see a good quantity of a blackish stone hidden in the carvings of the following pages. Witty, but unecessary as of now.
In cue to him finally closing the book for good, a loud roar was heard in the distance in conjunction with a loud smashing-like sound down below. It had such force that the tremors even reached the place where they were.
OH SHI-
Luckily, if Koharu had searched throughtly through the seemingly empty bookshelf, she would have discovered a switch that slided it, revealing a rather wide passage in front of them. If not, it'd take some time for Yuu and Kyo to find it.
Frantically, the boy scooped Kyo and the diary and grabbed the black-haired girl's hand as he began to race through the tunnel. Only God knew how much time they had as they rumbling grew louder and louder with each passing second. The thing was just stupid fast.
"Koharu, if that thing catches us and it's as menacing as it sounds, you and Kon-chan will run away while Kyo and me distract it. I won't accept a no for answer; you still have that person waiting for you out there".
So much for finally finding a girl that probably likes you back, Yuu he thought to himself as he raced through the corridor. Damn it. Just damn it all.
OOC:
HARD LABOR 3 ends in Koharu's next post.

Searching through the place thoroughly, Koharu tried every nook and cranny in searching for anything resembling an exit, but she doesn't find anything. Only then she noticed that the only immovable stuff there is the bookshelf. The girl searched the wall beside it, but she doesn't find anything there... Finally, she decides to look ones on the bookcase itself. When Yuu closed the book...
HOLY SHI---!!
Without any care in the world, she pressed the button she just found split second afterward, revealing a secret route. The girl yelped when the taller boy grabbed her hand and make run for it. Kon-chan followed after. Adrenaline immediately pumped to the girl's system, making the girl run faster in panic. Right now of all thing... when she got a boy for herself? Someone who probably would be on her side and give her deserved attention to her!?
When he told him about what he have in mind, she gritted her teeth and yelled with such a vigor.
"THAT'S IT! I'M SICK OF RUNNING AWAY! I'M SICK OF GIVING UP MIDWAY JUST LIKE THAT! I'M SICK OF NOT BEING ABLE TO BE A HELPING HAND IN DISTRESS LIKE THIS! I'LL REJECT THAT! I DON'T WANT YOU TO DIE, AND I'LL DEFINITELY BRING YOU BACK TO MANA-CHAN, WHETHER YOU CONSENT OR NOT, YUU! NOW, DON'T GIVE ME THAT EFFING B***S*** WHEN YOU TOLD ME YOU LIKE ME! I WANT MY BOYFRIEND ALIVE, NOT DEAD! NOW YOU'RE COMING WITH ME, MISTER!!"
