HARD LABOR [4/4]
Koharu's speech had rendered Yuu speechless (even if he couldn't actually speak). She said that so willfully that he couldn't but be somewhat afraid of her, at least until she said... Boyfriend. She had actually said boyfriend? If Yuu's system wouldn't have been flooded by adrenaline in that very moment, he would stopped running on the very spot. As his legs moved automatically, he just gawked at the girl, totally perplexed. Even if the rest of her speech was way more important than that single world, he had just been awestruck by that simple word. So much, in fact, that he didn't realize the really faint purple glow that his D-3 was letting out.
As they ran, the giant steps began to grow even louder, and the hammering sound was almost heard where they were. Yuu knew it, but even if he was probably going to die in this very tunnel, he felt happy. Maybe it was the joy of the moment, or the brush with this soon-to-be death experience, but in this very moment he felt that he would throw his life away for the girl that was running alongside him and he would be perfectly fine with it, but even then... she wanted him at her side, even if that would diminish her chances of surviving, and that made him happy; overly and purely happy.
Yet, that happiness would be cut short by a really loud hammering smash just below them. Apparently the thing knew exactly where they were, and was smashing just the terrain below them. The tremblings were so intense that Yuu began to trip, almost losing his footing and they continued, being really detrimental to their speed. Kyo was the only one unaffected, as she flew, except by the little shards of rock that feel from the passage's ceiling every now and then.
"DARN!" she shouted in frustration at the situation. Yuu's (and most probably, Koharu's) speed has been nearly halved, and the fact that the tremors grew louder by each passing second wasn't a good omen. Just then, a smash so loud was heard that Yuu was knocked out of his footing. He did his best to not to hurt himself while he laded on top of a small crack of the passage, yet he took a couple more seconds than usual to stand up. He had seen through the crack and... he had seen what was chasing them and the image had just frozen all the blood Yuu's veins. If Koharu peeked (while trying to help him get him up, for example) she would see a Groundramon so huge that it looked like as its size was just a little smaller than a Breakdramon's. Black replaced all its usually green scales, and it seemed to be moving quite fast after them. It'd probably reach them in matter of time.
And Yuu's digivice just kept faintly glowing.

Koharu would definitely keep pulling Yuu if he for example stopped midway. However, all the rumbling getting intense like this, she's not sure that she'll be fine. Still, all the thoughts of reaching Aria keeps her moving forward, propelling her. The single thought of I won't die filled her head. She ran faster and faster, reminiscing her days in her elementary school track and field club... But that's useless, right? All she want is to bring this guy beside him and finally herself to the surface.
When the ground shook harder, Koharu also tumbled, but regained her footing soon after. It's not good.. she never thought that running on shaky place would be this hard... Kon-chan have it a bit easier due to now degenerated herself to Missimon for easier moving speed. The Missile Digimon let out a small sound of annoyance. She can't help them right now. However, when a particularly strong tremor occurred, followed by formation of a huge crack, Kon-chan quickly evolved back to her Commandramon form. She tossed a flash grenade out of her pocket, just to help her partner and her soon-to-be boyfriend to run.
Koharu has seen what's inside that gap... It's terrifying, very terrifying. The terror made her want to run faster, even faster than now, but that way, probably her legs would gave up. Still... Giving up is out of option!
Small crest shone momentarily on the girl's chest. Her trial is about to start after this.

As the kept pushing forward (albeit on a much slower pace due to the constant tremors), Yuu began to actually think. By only smashing the ground beneath them, they would get out of here sooner or later, so... what was the purpose of this massive Groundramon? Was he going to just play with them until they got away... or maybe he wasn't the only one who inhabited this cave. To his surprise (and dismay) he soon felt a plehtora of smallish steps some distance behind them.
He knew that he didn't have to look behind him, as something bad always happened when someone saw what behind them. And he didn't look, but... "Yuu! At least twenty small dragons are running after us and they seem to be unimpeded by the tremors. We have to do something!".
Perfect, JUST EFFINGLY PERFECT! Most likely, those were Dracomons, the offspring of the thing that was below them. So, they were going to be baby snacks. How... ridiculous. The Groundramon, found that thought offensive it seemed, but right after Yuu thought it, a loud and terrifying roar came from below them, and the most powerful smashing sound that Yuu has heard in his life was heard. Just in front of them, a large crevasse had been formed, and the time to react to it was almost nil, so the most probably result was them falling until their impeding and untimely demise.
If Yuu could shout of frustration, he would do that on the spot. Just as his life had began turning for the better, this kind of things happen. He had finally broke apart from his parents, was finally being appreciated by his 'family', met a girl so amazing that had accepted him so 'readily' (he wasn't sure if it was because the life or death situation that they were currently going through, if he was being honest with himself. Nothing had seemed to come along so smoothly in his life, and had made him doubtful) and all of that was going directly to the trashcan due to some crazed and oversized Ankylosaur-dragon digimon broodmother of sorts.
Luckily, his digivice had decided to respect his desires. If Yuu was going to die today, it wouldn't be of something so lame as a fall, at least. The purple glow began to grow intense as a word illuminated the screen on Yuu's digivice; <EVOLUTION>.
Not even a second passed, and Kyo's Tsukaimon form had been replaced by the one of a purple-furred wolf that seemed to be straight out of some Dracula movie. Moving fastly, the newly-evolved mon made a gesture to Kon-chan to hold into her fur as she ran at all speed at the falling humans. By jumping on a quick fashion. she picked the two of them with her back and laded gracefully in the other side of the crevasse. And now, with all her three passengers, she began to ran forward, hoping that the exit was near.
"Kon-chan!" she called urgently "Deal with the Dracomons! I don't think I can outrun them while the thing below us being that bothersome!"

Well, the world definitely hates her. Is this some kind of karma? Is this some kind of payback for all bitter stuffs he had done to her little sister? No matter what, though, she's not willing to give up just like that. However, Kyo just have to broke the bad new, and honestly, Koharu's legs already about to gave in. She's not Ryouta who constantly build his body... well, that's lately, but he's always jogging in the morning if he got free time, hence his great stamina... but as for her? She's just a lazy girl who only get into sport because it's thrilling, but stopped before she could get anything worthwhile from it.
And now, once again, she regretted it. She regretted everything. Even though she told Mana to live to her fullest, even though Natsuki told her to live without regret, just as she did to Ryouta... And then, huge crevasse just have to form in front of them, without even giving her the chance to brake or pull her soon-to-be boyfriend!? Koharu fell along with Yuu to the abyss below.
"DAMMIIIIIIIITTTTTT!!" the girl yelled with frustration.
However, looks like Kami in heaven decides that she's not going to die today. Seeing her ally evolved, Kon-chan grabbed Kyo's fur and rode the Digimon backward, readying her firearm. Just when Koharu and Yuu landed, the S.W.A.T. themed dragon Digimon fired her guns at oncoming Dracomons, although she have no idea how effective it is.
"ON IT!!" she bellowed to her ally Digimon. They're not going to die today... not now.

They didn't fall? Yuu couldn't believe that they were actually alive, and thanks to Kyo seemingly. For a moment, he felt truly happy... truly alive, and truly grateful with his partner. He couldn't bring his cellphone out in fear of it falling and making him go mostly mute for whatever the rest of his journey was. Yet, that didn't deter him from hugging the girl she had besides her with all his strength. He'd totally kiss her if she were his girlfriend, but that wasn't something confirmed yet, so he conformed with the blissful sensation of his arms rounding the girl's comparatively small frame, even though she was covered by his own down coat. He just didn't care if she slapped him afterwards or not, he just felt like doing it.
The hug didn't last much, though. The tremors were so strong that the ceiling began to weaken itself and now stalactites were falling towards them. Kyo was doing her best to dodge them, but the sudden movements converted Yuu's embrace into helping the girl into holding on his partner's fur. Kon-chan, on her side was shotting some black Dracomons down, but they seemed to be just too much for her to handle alone, at least by only using her rifle. She'd have to think about something or they'd just caught them sooner or later.
If they kept advancing forward, they'd encounter another large crevasse, and this time, the Groudramon was looking at them from it. Maybe it was readying an attack or something? Kyo couldn't know, and even if it was, she had to risk it. It'd be useless to try and wait for the dragon to do anything, and more likely there were even more Dracomons hurrying at them. But still... it wasn't her decision. "Yuu, Koharu. What do I do? Anyone got an idea? The look that dragon is giving to me isn't helping at all". It was a rather sadistic choice. Jumping blindly into whatever that Groundramon had in store for them, or just waiting until the Dracomons found them, and fight in a severe numerical disadventage.

Luckily, it's seem that didn't die, but that might change soon after if this continues. Kon-chan bites her grenade's safety clip and pulled it out before tossing it at the middle row position of the Dracomons, hoping that it'll do good. However that doesn't stop her from shooting more from her rifle, to deter anyone who dared to advance. Still, looks like the struggle is a bit too hard either way... And not helping that the crevasse suddenly appeared right in front of them!! Kon-chan definitely doesn't like this... if she's stronger than now, she'll definitely give the Groundramon a taste of her military armaments!
"ARGH, NOT THIS AGAIN, WHY WON'T YOU JUST LET ME PASS, GET TO MY LITTLE SISTER'S RECITAL AND PROBABLY KISS MY BOYFRIEND!? GO DIE WHY DON'T YOU!?" Koharu shouted frustrated at the huge Digimon. "Kyo!! Shoot at the ceiling above the Groundramon! It'll probably fall to it and give us some time to run!!" Koharu suggested.
Meanwhile, the dino soldier on the back does not fare better either. Her rifle nearly out of ammo, and reloading it might take their precious time...

As they continued to run, Kon-chan's seemingly had success with her grenade. The floor was already too fragile due to the constant hammerings of the giant Groundramon, and the explosion had weakened it enough to cause a small crevasse to form just on top of the ravenous small dragons. Some fell to the caves below, while the others did their best to evade the newly formed hazard. That would definitely build them some precious time.
Meanwhile, at the giant crevasse, the Groundramon previously mentioned still looked at them with a mean face and everything but good intentions. Yuu definitely had to admit that this girl had some attitude to be bold enough to shout at the dragon in that way, yet the kissing part was the one that made his heart race. With one hand, he gripped the vampiric wolf's fur, as if sensing what Kyo was about to do and with the other, he made sure that her beloved person was fastened enough too.
Koharu's suggestion had been good though. Kyo felt as if she could create a pretty good distraction. Mustering a good amount of power, the red markings on her body began to glow as she howled with viciousness. Four beams of energy collided with the passage's ceiling, making it cave in on top of the dragon. Not satisfied with that, the wings on her body extended, letting on a seemingly endless stream of bats forward. That distraction, coupled with the rock shards seemed to be good enough for Kyo to try and jump that massive crevasse. For a second, the foursome seemed to fly as the wolf tried to reach the other end, and as they were about to land on the other side, the hammered tail of the Groudramon smashed just at their side. Phew... that was too close.
Luckily, the Sanglupmon took extra precations to evade it, and landed gracefully on the other side of the passage. The tremors were lighter due to the blind blow the dragon had tried to do, and she seized those precious moments to run with all her speed through... an exit? It seemed to be one, as the faint light that could be seen forward became brighter and brighter each second until... they were out of the cave.
The snowstorm had ceased, and now the only thing that could be heard was the faint sound of the snow gently falling. Yuu fell backwards in Kyo's soft back, exhausted by what had just happened.
"I can't believe it" he 'said' in the always-monotone tone his cellphone had "We actually got out of that unscathed. Thank you, Kyo".
He was just too exhausted to type anything else, so he just let his body rest a little on his partner's soft back. Yet, the nagging feeling in his mind that he'd have to talk with Koharu about what exactly had happened inside that cave was everpresent, and now that he thought about it, he felt happy about it; really happy, but also... nervous and insecure. He wasn't exactly the guy most prone to making friends, and getting nothing more and nothing less than his possible other half in less than a day made him... doubtful. He wanted for Koharu to be true to what she had said earlier with all his heart, but what if she had said that only because of the adrenaline of the situation? He could only wonder that.

When they managed to run away from the being, Koharu suddenly turned to her new ally and kissed him straight on the lips without hint of shyness or anything remotely resembling shame or embarrassment. The girl grinned ear to ear after a good ten second kiss. "That's the first, and there'll be more to come... Thank you for saving me, Yuu. I guess you doesn't want trial period, and as for me, I don't care much about trial periods... we're kind of birds with the similar kind of feathers, yeah? I'll tell you more about me... but right now..."
She looked at the sky. "I hope that nothing going on... I just hope that... the world can be still while I tell you my problem, but... I just hope that... that I can explain myself to you... It's not me that would reject you... it'll probably you who'll reject me. I'm kind of unstable, you know? I understand how protective you can be of Mana, but... I also can have a bit of possessiveness streak, so..."
The raven haired girl sighed. "Either way... What should we do now?"

As Yuu laid on the Sangloupmon's back, with all his doubts still running through his mind, and not really paying attention to his surroundings, he felt a sudden contact on his face, more precisely, in his lips. He managed to not to yelp and wince at it, but as he fixed his previously unfocused eyes in the face in front of him it was... Koharu? Well, it was obvious that if someone would be kissing her. All his doubts about her feelings towards him dissipated into thin air as his mind went blank the boy just concentrated in kissing her back. And he had to admit that it felt good; really good.
After that extremely long kiss, Yuu could only match the grin on Koharu's face with one of his own. It wasn't a big, due to him not being too used to smile, but it definitely noted a great amount of happiness. And that happiness could only grow when her new girlfriend thanked him and said that a trial period wouldn't be necessary, followed by an advance of her problem, and even telling him that he would reject her afterwards. To him, it didn't matter, if he was honest with himself, he truly felt comfortable around her, and truly wanted to both be her important important person and help her with her problem.
"I really think that we're truly alike, Koharu" he began with a somewhat serious face "And even if I'm up for another of those kisses right now, I think that your current problem is way more important than that. First, don't say that I'd reject you after all my lame attempts to hit on you, would you? Secondly, I won't really know unless you tell me, so why don't you try? If you don't feel comfortable with that just yet, maybe I could tell you my history and that could maybe make you warm up. And about your defects, well... anybody has them. I'm a mute guy with a really nasty attitude problem towards anybody who says something about it and that's really prone to be condescending, snarky and sarcastic when pissed off enough, and that's without counting that I'm a total inept on showing affect; so maybe if you can bear with those, I don't think I'd have a problem with either your unstability or your possessiveness. I mean, being totally frank, being possessive demonstrates that you care about that person, don't you think?"
He sighed from his stop, finally getting up until he stood on a sitting position. He hugged the girl tightly, with her eyes teary, but not shedding tears yet. "We're in this together from now on. We'll help each other through our own hard times, but now" he said, undoing the hug "I think that we first have to collect some reward for our troubles, and then... you said something about going to your sister's concert inside that cave; I'd be delighted to go there with you, unless you don't want this dork to be near you in the human world just yet".
Having said that, he showed what was behind the pages in the back of the book. There were at least five or six kilograms of Black Hematite embedded in there, and surely they'd be worth quite the amount of money.
And so, they traveled towards Snowflake Village. There, they traded most of the rocks the book had with the merchants in there. They exited the Village soon afterwards, and now Kyo awaited for Koharu's command on where they should go.
OOC: HARD LABOR 4 ends in Koharu's next post.
To Yuuki: Didn't realize that this was the fifth post. So I edited. Sorry D:exit(thread);

"Is that so? Well, then... my bad... I'm totally new at this, so please take care of me, Yuu. I'd bow a bit and would probably kiss you again if not for it'll be a bit awkward right now... So why don't I tell you my story while we ride back to Terminus? So, I..."
You're still going to extend nonsense and when your sister crying, you still going to have fun, take your time in some kind of little fun with your new boyfriend? Aren't you some terrible sister? If I'm her, I definitely would hate you forever... but what can you do? That's you, afterall... as fickle as a cat, as wishy washy as an unbridled empty crate in a ship in midst of storm.
A dark vortex appeared and from it, a Blackwargreymon X appeared, staring ominously at the two of them. From the same portal, another Koharu appeared, wearing a rather skin-tight jacket that exposed her navel area, short skirt and hot pants. She's wearing military boots. All of them, they're black in color. Seeing the BlackWargreymonX, even Kon-chan is freezing in terror.
I just can't stand you... honestly, aren't you a cheap girl who can be easily cheered up just because she got a boyfriend? Where's your dedication?
The other Koharu climbed up to her Blackwargreymon X's arm.
Aneki, there's no use in talking to her... do you want me to teach her a lesson? he asked
No, Warg... we'll give her a fair chance... a really fair chance to defend herself... however, of course it won't be free... I'll be taking something important from her...
Suddenly, beside her, there's Aria in her recital dress, sealed inside a crystal bubble.
"ARIA!!"
Mhm... this is your Aria... you know, if you have no like for her, just give her to me. I'm lonely, you know? Maybe when your sister's dead, you'll understand how to treasure her? Still, I'm willing to give you a chance... just how much you love her? Just how big is your dedication to your little sister? Well then... bye bye~
The duo took off with Aria, flying somewhere else. Koharu felt all color washed away to her gut... A Mega... a Mega and the other her kidnapped Aria... and probably will kill her afterward?
