The magician watched as the snow turned into hail. Ayaka's weather manipulation was similar to the D-Arc's own. It could prove to be useful in certain situations.
Momentarily distracted, he failed to watch Ayaka, even Jeanne, as they did their moves. Jeanne slid around, to the jump up at Shadow. The magician was barely able to swing his staff to meet the incoming attack - the flames reaching him.
Holy flame huh? Strangely enough. He had never been hit by such an attack. Or maybe? Did Zero have such an attack? He wasn't sure.
His hand burned, and the magician flinched, causing him to drop his staff. He couldn't act after this. It was only after several seconds that he was able to compose himself.
"Good. Let's move on to the next lesson." he stated, drawing more power from his tamer. The magician turned black, his form twisting and shaping into.... An armored warrior. BlackTactimon.
"Ichi-no-tachi." he said, lifting up his sheated sword. He slammed the ground below him once, causing the ground below them to collapse several feet down, covering an area of fifty feet around them. Only a small bit of area around him was spared from the quake.

Apparently, Jeanne's attack reaching him had undoubtedly pissed Shadow off. Some seconds after the succesful attack, a black glow enveloped him, and he had become... <BlackTactimon; Level: Mega; Attribute: Virus; Type: Demon Man; Family: —>.The hail stopped falling as the mega appeared; a mega, of all things. Things had become dire quite handily. and the literal earthquake that the newly evolved armored warrior provoked didn't help. Such speed and discipline were terrifing to behold.
Ayaka did her best to escape the attack's relatively small radius before falling into oblivion, but things would have to change quite fast if they were to stand a chance in this. Their best bet was to survive the oncoming onslaught of the digimon that ouleveled them quite handily, while trying to find something that they'd use against him. Despair was not an option, and they'd surely push through this.
In cue, Mana's digivice's body began changing colors into a dark shade of pink and a bright green light emanated from it as two words appeared in its screen: <MATRIX EVOLUTION>. A green coccoon of data enveloped Ayaka's body as it changed into her perfect form; Acerimon. The fairy emerged and defiantly stared at BlackTactimon, her face full of determination. As her digicore began to release power, she was sure that this movement would at least buy them some time to find a little about how to deal with this guy. Her hair changed to a brownish-orange state for a split second before a swirl of falling leaves propagated through the battlefield. Instantly, both Ayaka and Jeanne dissapeared from sight.
Ayaka trusted in Jeanne's wits. Attacking for the moment would be more than fruitless, so she trusted that angel wouldn't reveal her position before the technique faded by doing such a silly thing as trying to strike their foe.
OOC: Winds of Change (Autumn): A curtain of falling leaves envelops the area, hiding up to three nearby allies inside it, effectively granting them stealth and silencing their steps for its duration. Individual shrouds break when an affected target attacks or receives damage. Lasts 2 posts.
Active Season: Autumn (Boosts nearby allies' speed).

Hmn, blocked. However, she managed to damage him slightly. That's better than nothing, especially when the rod is dropped... Although she's sure that Shadow won't need the staff to cast a spell, that perhaps would add as a catalyst for something, maybe like to tap stronger effect. Jeanne however, did not smile in satisfaction or even feel some sense of accomplishment... She knows that she's being in lot of disadvantage, especially against this magician. Afterall... this guy has reached Super Mega.
She tossed her sword to Karin's direction, breaking the ice trapping her feet. Immediately, the angel summoned the blade back and tossed it to ice that encased Mana's feet this time and she summoned the blade back once more. Quickly, she gave Karin a handsign that seem means something. Immediately, Karin understood what to do. Tactic time.
"Mana, let's leave the battlefield for now. I guess---"
Her hunch proved to be true. Shadow suddenly turned into a really dangerous Digimon, Tactimon... not the usual one at it, too, which made Jeanne shuddered.
"MI---"
The ground below them has caved in. Immediately, Karin tried her best to jump out of the way. It's easier that now the ice has shattered thanks to the strong impact, but... but most likely that they'll be in jeopardy if they don't run fast. The thing is, to stay means to die, to leave and unable to pinpoint the enemy would also spell death.
...At time like this, how she wished she has taught Mana some of her special handsign with Jeanne.
Now, the angel, concealed by Ayaka's ability, quickly flies away somewhere easy enough to assume a stealth-like attack... SHE'S A CHAMPION FOR ALL HOLY'S SAKE. She won't be able to approach him easily!

Shadow was about to attack when Majin received a message. The Mega froze upon hearing the D-Arc's beeps.
They had something to do. Had it been something else, it could've waited. But it was the next step in their plans. He looked around him, with his Aura Sense, he could still detect their aura. Funny enough, but he'd have to leave this for another time.
"Eh.... Shadow, Rodgers is ready." the white haired tamer said, Shadow nodding.
"We will have to leave this for another day, apologies." the BlackTactimon said, bowing slightly.
Majin opened a portal, leading to Terminus. "Here's a portal to Terminus, just in case you don't want to stay here." he said, he couldn't just leave them here after this. After that, he manifested a second one, leading to the Dark Area...

Something seemed... off. It was almost as if Shadow could still sense them even if they weren't either visible or could be smelled. Ayaka was about to warm Jeanne, but suddenly... Shadow stopped as he was about to attack them, apparently because Majin's D-3 had began beeping. After a some quick explanations and Shadow apologizing with a bow, Majin created two portals, one that went to Terminus and remained open, and one that lead to the Dark Area, and now was closed just after the pair had entered it.
Ayaka sighed with relief, quickly devolving into Kodamon now that the situation was over. "Well, that was really weird" she said to Jeanne, perplexed "Wonder what was about to happen, and why they left that urgently. Must have been quite urgent matters. Anyway...".
She went back to where Karin and Mana were, quite content that they had surpassed the test. The girl, however, had a bad feeling about this. "I don't have a good feeling about this, nee-chan" the girl said with a worried expression "I think that whatever Majin-sama is up to... ugh, better not to think about it, I'm just having paranoic suspicions. What do you want to do? We can either go to Terminus or do whatever you want".

Just when she's about to react to the attack, suddenly it's seem that Majin is in hurry. She wondered what's up, but at least like this, she know what she's lacking... she can no longer hope to just use swordplay for this... She'll try to learn magics. Yes, that's right, she'll do some magics. That way, she'll be able to do more than simple tricks compared to now... but where to learn such tricks?
"That was abrupt, but I thank them for the lessons. It's not something small that I can get this kind of experience. This way, I can understand what I lack and what I don't. Ayaka, too, does not you feel that after you seen that you got quite fired up for improving yourself? There's just so many things to learn."
Looking at Mana getting worried, Karin sighed and wondered herself. "...Well, for now, let's just leave it to Leader-san. He's strong, and with that guy beside him, the chance of survival would be really high... let's just be positive, girl. Also, shall we spend time in some cafe, then? I myself up for some relaxing stuff..."

Ayaka gave an even smile to Jeanne as she said that this had helped her to improve. Of couse that it had helped her too. "Yeah, I feel that I understood a good deal of new things, and that made me realize that I have still a long way to go. However, this situation is most puzzling. It is pointless to delve into it, as we will not be able of finding out what is actually happening, so I guess that I will let it drop".
Mana calmed herself down a little, but still couldn't shake the feeling that something very bad was about to happen. Maybe not now, and maybe not to her, but it would happen, and the result would be something to regret or worse... to grieve. "Yeah, that's for the best, nee-chan. If Majin-sama and Shadow-san would surely be able to deal with whatever comes for them. And, yeah, some time at a café sounds great! I'd really like do some relaxing things, and I guess that the girls would also love to be given a break. Ayaka traveled all the way up to this isle, after all. So, let's just go!".
Having said that, she just walked towards the portal that lead to Terminus, quite happy at her day, even if she still had the that unsettling feeling.
