They've all got the same heartbeat, but her's is falling behind. Avery and Patch trooped through the city. AJ had actually wanted to spend a relaxing time at home. She had some studied to do since mid-terms where quickly approaching, but thankfully, fall break was too.
However, her cat-like partner had been anything but agreeable and had been prancing around her bedroom, tail fraying out at the ends. His claws had clicked and scraped across the hardwoods of her bedroom as he jumped to the window sill and back down to pace.
The Italian teen had sighed and eventually given up. Throwing on a coat and her backpack, she grabbed her cell, D3 and D-terminal along with her iPod. Dedigivolving him to his in-training stage, she had stashed him away and made her way to the Shibuya Train Terminal.
Now they were here. Patch had digivolved back on the way there--seemingly some kind of reaction to entering the Digital World--and now paced beside her. He seemed slightly calmer except for the occasional tail twitch.

As AJ and Patch were walking through Terminus, they may take notice of quite a bit of commotion that waa coming from inside a store they were walking by. Two raised voices could be heard going back and forth from within that, while what exactly they said couldn't exactly be deciphered, it was obvious that they were pretty angry at each other. Yet the heated argument seemed to a came at the end as the door opened and the shopkeep, a Veggiemon, threw two figures out of his shop. The first was Jimmy as he landed on his back with a slight thud. The other, and apparently the cause of the commotion, was Shin, who landed right next to Jimmy.
"AND STAY OUT!!!" The Veggiemon shopkeep yelled as he slammed the door to his store close.
Shin didn't seem to be having any of that as he quickly got back onto his feet, and shaking his feathered fist in the air, yelling, "YOU KNOW WHAT! THE SAME CAN GO FOR YOUR GRANDMOTHER TOO!!!"
Jimmy, on the other hand, seemed a bit daze by what just happened as he lean himself up and rubbed the back of his head, relieved to find nothing broken. "Geez Shin. Why did you have to get us kicked out of another store for?" Jimmy asked as he began picking himself off the floor.
"It's not my fault. He's the one that was selling shotty goods." Shin defended.
"Still. Don't you think it was a little overboard calling his mother all those things you did?"
Shin just crossed his arms as his pride made him feel no need to dignify that question with a response. The sight of which caused Jimmy to sigh.

They've all got the same heartbeat, but her's is falling behind. AJ's lit up as they browsed the various shop windows throughout the city. At first, she had been reluctant to keep coming to the Digital World as it seemed everytime they did cross over there was Deva or something or other to fight. However, this time everything seemed to be fairly calm.
They had wove their way in and out of various shops when something swept across her vision. Actually it was two things, specifically two shadows. The Italian tamer blinked and jumped back a few feet as two forms landed at their feet.
She knelt down and peered closer. It only took a second for her to recognize the boy and Falcomon in front of her. The boy she had met once on Cat Street when she was searching for Patch's DIgitama, a second time t the battle against the Deva VIkaramon, and back in the Pleades Mines with Mana and Ryoko. Shin she had met momentarily when he had squawked at her to hide in the forest. "Jimmy!" she exclaimed."Hey, what happened?" she asked, reaching down to help the other boy up. Patch also extended his glove-clad paw to help his fellow mon.

((Just a quick note here so you don't believe I'm not reading your post. Shin's already up on his feet. He literally jumped back onto them right after being thrown out just to yell at the shopkeep some more.))
As Jimmy forced himself up, he heard a familiar voice say his name pretty nearby. So close that he could of sworn that it came from right behind him. And sure enough, as he looked up and behind him, he saw AJ offering a hand to help him up.
"Uhh..." Jimmy froze for a second as the girl's name had completely escaped him. In an attempt to buy himself some time to think, Jimmy quickly decided to answer her question. "It's a long story." Or just completely avoid that question altogether as he accepted her offer to help him up.
"Thanks. What exactly brings you two to Terminus?" Jimmy decided to ask as he dusted himself off in a calm facade. His mind, meanwhile, was in an utter panic as it tried to recall her name. He definitely remembered her, especially after all the events that had transpired recently, and he also remembered that her name was pretty simple one. Ugh... How could he have completely forgetten her name like that?
If he was remembering it correctly, it started with an 'A'... Right?

They've all got the same heartbeat, but her's is falling behind. [Okay! Sorry about that! I guess I didn't read your post close enough xD]
Baby blue blinked at Jimmy's "uh" comment, but she just took as he was probably still stunned from landed on the hard pavement. She gave him a smile. It had been a while since she had seen the older boy, but she was always happy to see a familiar face.
When he asked what she and Patch were doing in Terminus., "Just doing a little window shopping. We usually come out this way after school sometimes. I guess it's been a while since we actually got to talk huh?"
Patch tugged at his partner's arm. Her gaze swept down the cat-like Rookie, quirking an eyebrow. "AJ, we just saw them at the mines, remember? With Ryoko and Mana and them?" he addressed his tamer, unknowingly giving Jimmy the answer to the Italian tamer's identity.
AJ laughed and rubbed the back of her head awkwardly., "Oh yeah, sorry about that. I guess those few times we did see you, we didn't really get to talk much. So how have you been?"

Is it Alice? No. How about Angel? That doesn't sound right either. Then what is it? Jimmy thought hurriedly as he listened to AJ talk. His heart sank more and more as he failed at trying to remember AJ's name. Sure he wasn't exactly good at remembering names in the first place, but he thought he was getting much better at it. At least, until now.
Then came the saving grace as AJ's partner happened to mention her name. AJ. Of course. How could I have forgotten a name like that? Jimmy thought as he was mentally facepalming himself. At least now he was able to avoid looking like a complete jerk for having forgotten her name despite the fact that she clearly remembered his.
Jimmy paused for a moment as AJ asked him how he was doing, a look of gloom apparent on his face. "Surviving" He told her bluntly as he crossed his arms. It seems things haven't exactly been going well for the teen.
Yet before AJ would have a chance to figure what's wrong, Shin said, "Hey Jimmy. While your catching up with your friend or whatever, I'm going to check some of the shops." With that, Shin walked off.
"Alright. Good luck, and please try to not get yourself kicked out again." Jimmy replied before returning his attention back to AJ and Patch. "So how exactly have you two been doing since the last we met?" Jimmy then asked with a facade of a small smile on his face.

They've all got the same heartbeat, but her's is falling behind. With Jimmy back on his feet, they were able to have a decent conversation. When Jimmy commented that he was "surviving," AJ tilted her slightly in confusion. It wasn't exactly what she expected to hear, but she figured she could find out some more information. Her gray-blue orbs traveled after Shin left, grinning slightly when Jimmy told him not to get kicked out.
When asked how they were doing, she rubbed the back of her neck and glanced down at her partner. "Well, I guess you could say we're doing a bit better than surviving. We've mostly been exploring the Digital World and trying to get a bit stronger." Her smile fell a little bit as did her hands. "So, is everything going okay?" she asked, tilting her head the other way. "I remember we saw you at the Mines not too long ago with Ryoko and Mana.

It was nice to hear that AJ and Patch were doing just fine. In a way it still shocked Jimmy some to see the two having become such a competent pair. While they had met several times before now, they never really had much time to actually, oftentimes focused on an important task at hand. It made him a tinge sad really as it reminded how unattached he had became with the outside world, and how much it had moved on without him.
Jimmy then looked at AJ oddly as he heard her ask her next question. Wait. Didn't she just asked that? He thought confused. Sure the wording was different, but the question was basically the same. Could it just be that his answer concerned her?
"Yeah. Everything is just fine and dandy. Why you ask?" He answered her, seemingly not convince by his own words. That was because he wasn't. Things haven't exactly been going his way for quite a long while now, and recently everytime he thinks he found some solace, things seem to only get worse. Yet he didn't want to tell AJ that. He had enough to deal with already without the guilt of having burden AJ with the knowledge of his own problems.

They've all got the same heartbeat, but her's is falling behind. As Jimmy explained his worries about the Devas and the cosmic worries, AJ's own eyes darkened slightly with sadness, but she nodded. "No, I understand. I've been worried about it two. We've seen two Devas, Vikaralamon and Sandrimon. They were crazy strong...and well, I'm not sure how we got out alive."
Patch snorted and crossed his arms in a stubborn gesture. The Italian laughed and petted his head, which came up to about her waist.
"Yet let's not talk about something so dark. Have either of you eaten? I know of a little diner nearby that fixes some of the best food in town. If you like hamburgers that is. But on the plus side, it's also pretty cheap."
"Okay, sure we can always go for some food. Lead the way."

"What? No. Nothing is bothering me." Jimmy quickly responded before thinking back on something that darken his mood, "Well, at least, that's what I would like to say. To be honest though, I guess I have to be crazy to not be bothered by everything that's been going on lately. Between the Deva's and those cosmic warriors, this whole world feels like it's teetering on the brink of complete chaos. Who knows what will happen next?"
His words rang true. He was partially worried about the faith of the digital world. Not just because of what could happen to the denizens of this world, but also what it meant for the faith of the human world as well. The events that were to follow would become deciding factor of everything that's going on. Yet, despite all this, these were not heart of what was truly bothering the teenage boy.
"Yet let's not talk about something so dark. Have either of you eaten? I know of a little diner nearby that fixes some of the best food in town. If you like hamburgers that is. But on the plus side, it's also pretty cheap." Jimmy offered with a small smile on his face.
