"I'm so sorry, Bev. There was nothing we could do. It happened so fast and we didn't know what to do. We couldn't save..."
"It's... it's alright Saibot, I understand you tried your best. I've had my time to mourn..."
"Mourn? It's just a bed."
"The best bed I ever laid on with Garm. When you get a luxury bed like this you simply cannot go back."
The soaked, dirty, glass ridden and ruined luxury bed would soon sink into a black, bubbling pool of darkness. Outside, the bed would reappear in the air, falling down with a wet thud and a dull breaking sound.
"I need to look for a replacement eventually. Let's go."
Beverly and Saibot left Bev's ruined room and went downstairs, where the club was somewhat flooded. Only a few inches, but flooding was flooding. However, the group needed a pump to syphon the murky water out. And a pump was something they didn't have. Some cleaning was performed, though, but Beverly had told them all to stop for the night. There was a non flooded area on the stage Garm, Fishy, and Sinclair was on, chatting amongst themselves. Bev sat on the stairs as Saibot went with the others.
"Oh this night can't get any worse..."

And as if on cue, a knock at the door... well sort of a knock. It began as a knock and then two, sounding off along side a voice declaring each "Knock knock Kno-", though the third was cut off by the hinges finally giving out and the door falling inward into the flooded nightclub with a splash. The figure at the door that of a buisnessmon, a gabumon to be specific. He was clothed in a business suit clean and well kept and a briefcase in his hands as he'd look in.
"My my my well isn't this just pitiful! Seems you've got quite the mess to clean up here! Good thing I stopped by", he would bow taking off his fedora before stepping in, keeping his smoking cigar between those lips even as he spoke stepping in trying to avoid getting his suit pants wet as much as possible.
"The names Regenold Barnaby, Entrepreneur. I've heard ever since that incident local businesses are struggling to reopen and people are just declaring bankruptcy left and right, so I've decided to stop by a few of the more lively places, ones I remember the most from days past to lend my services. And ma'am it looks like you're one of the most dire cases I've seen today!", he shook his head somberly before he continued in what seemed like a Georgian accent.
"Good thing I showed up! With the other businesses out there already so ahead of you you'll definitely be needing my help to.. errr.. ", he lifted a leg from the water "Stay afloat", he chuckled a bit holding up his case.

Beverly and the others turned to see a new visitor enter, having knocked the door off its hinges. Some well dressed Gabumon, it seems. He had gave some spiel on keeping businesses afloat and helping Beverly out. Saibot had spoke up first to him.
"Excuse me, Reggie... but I think we got this..."
"Stand down, Saibot. I have this..." the super Mega got up and walked down the rest of the stairs, then waded through the water.
"Don't misunderstand, I'm not dealing with anyone I don't know. Especially someone of a... Not quite legal nature."
"Criminal? That guy?"
Beverly chuckled, glancing at her audience. Even if it was a past life, Beverly was still a villainess in the past. A situation like this just raised up a few flags. "Criminal? Perhaps in the usual sense. But certainly involved with them. No well dressed digimon is going to simply *arrive* at a business after what happened recently and talk about working together without some unscrupulous dealings going on.
No concern for safety, no real small talk, just burst down my door and came in with a sales pitch.
Now that I've said my piece, get out. My business is legit and last thing I need is to worry about 'favors' from guys like you."

"Now now my dear! I'm just trying to be fair! I mean you can ask up and down the steet I've been nothing but helpful!" he took a step back as he was being threatened. "I mean, those were some mighty hurtful words my dear, I can promise you nothing I done on this street could be called illegal I'm an honest man!"
He plead "Now I just don't think it's fair to you if you kick me out without hearing me though, specially cause I've already helped so many other businesses on the street, without a bit of extra help. I mean i'm not just some shmuck, surely you've heard of me Madam! I have billboards all around town for my loans and services Ma'am!", in fact this was true. This digimon wasn't famous or anything but he was known, and had been known for a while, years even. HE had a loan service and it wasn't sketchy at all, in fact he'd been known to do this if any of them knew of his service, and they may recall having been in that city so long. Course he did deal in loans but that didn't make mister Regenold Barnaby evil.
"Just since I've helped so many of the others with their funds with rebuildin' I just don't know if you'll keep up now without a bit of help, so please before you slam the door on me, reconsider and hear me out!", He asked holding his hat with both his hands in front of him in the doorway.

Reggie had pleaded with Beverly after being called a criminal. He said he was legit, well known to a point, and even had billboards. Still, Bev was untrusting of the guy. Her expression hardened before she turned around.
"Billboards? What nonsense are you..."
"Boss, fffffsh. I've actually seen him before on a billboard, now that I remember..."
Bev turned back around, glancing at the Loan Broker. "What's a billboard or two? I've seen high profile..."
Beverly was interrupted again, this time by Garm, who had got up and began to walk to her. "Beverly, in the back, please."
The two had went into a back room, still wading through water. Once they had their privacy, the MutantGaomon rested two of his hands on her shoulders. Beverly was looking frustrated, and Garm, seeing this, kissed her forehead gently.
"Beverly... try not to be wound up so tight."
"Criminal or not I don't need any more help than what I got."
"Honey... just listen to him. Say no after that, but just listen to him." ----
After a little while, the two re-emerged from the back room. Beverly seemed more relaxed... but still not in a great mood.
"I'm tired, angry, and suspicious. But I'll hear you out. Just don't think you'll be walking out of here with a new customer."

"Oh of course not! I come here as a friend not as a salesman, though I do remind you, this is a lot of money we're dealing with. But thank you all for taking the time to listen to me. You won't regret it.", he nodded and would step forward and brush himself off.
"So", he began clapping his hands together. "Now technnicalllly It's sort of a loan, I'm sure you all understand I just can't give away the money, it's just the payment plan isn't set in stone. It will have very unique plan that can involve any number of things, from having no set date to pay back, to a small percent of sales to something as simple as adding my name to the deed just to assure collateral, or we could even discuss something else if you'd have an idea, but I'm sure you can understand none of these things are major at all, especially compared to any actual loans of any kind. I've made the same offer to many people on this street and many took it without hesitation.", he stated with a nod.
"Though you're the first people I've met with such tenacity to protect their buisness, look at you all so loyal like a family, which is why I want to protect places like this even more!", he smiled at them all.
"So please, I'm more than willing to negotiate. I even know a guy who may be able to fix up that bed I noticed outside, heh the dang thing near scared me to death popping out of nowhere like that!"

And so, Reggie spoke. He gave his sales pitch, telling them about payment plans and all that junk. The Galaclivamon stood there, arms crossed, listening to every word he said. Indeed, she was tenacious... she wanted to compound as few loans for her business as possible. And Beverly wasn't just someone with a business. She had some connections. Digimon who could also help with this stuff.
Once he finished, however, there was a pause... and then...
"Are you finished? Sounds like you're finished. I heard you out. Now you can go.
I'm not exactly without options. I have insurance on the place for this sort of damage. Won't cover everything but it'll cover enough. Manpower? I've got plenty, and a couple phone calls will get me a few more. Speaking of... Saibot, call Betty. Tell her I need a favor from Vetina."
"Got it." He got up and went to another room,
"As for the bed, it's ruined. I'll get me a new one. Really, I don't any loans."
"You know fffsssh, Beverly... a back up plan would be nice. And the sooner we fsssshhhh... fix up, sooner we'll be back in business! Fsssshhh... just think, if we repair quickly it means we'll, fssh, be ahead of the curve. Besides, this place could also be a temp shelter!"
"Huh..." Beverly was now contemplating. This was, indeed, a great idea! "Fishy, that's actually a nice idea. I guess I'll take Reggie up on his offer. Besides... sooner I can get this place back up and running the better."

He smiled and wiggled his fingers together chuckling. "Oh A shelter that does sound like quite the swell cause ma'am! I do commend you on that! Now for such a thing I'd be willing to offer quite the hefty sum, and I'd suggest the deed option, It would give you all the time in the world to pay me back and in any way you can think of, just simple collateral.", he nodded and took out a sheet of paper from a pocket and a quill pen, hopping thouh the water trying to splash as little as possible to get to the dryness of the stage, finding a place to write a bit, filling in lines of the form he had.
"Now darlin, I just need you to fill in a few things here to finalize it in the databases, this is one of those fancy data transfer packets you see, very high tech and the fastest way to do things! It just gives me permissions to add my own name to your deed to prove you're collateral and then will transfer you the funds directly from the account of Regenold Barnaby mmhm", he spoke fast seeming quite excited to help them out.
He continued to scribble on the paper for a moment, humming to himself and tapping his foot as he checked off boxes and wrote words in other boxes. "Annddd there! Done, just need you to sign right there at the bottom! No pressure feel free to look it over or talk to me about any of it! It just simply gives me provisional access to the deed upon you receiving the money!", he nodded offering the quill to Beverly. "Oh of course I forgot to mention, whoever's name's on the deed has to sign it, Just assumed it was yours ma'am, but just letting you know in case it's not.

Well, it seems everyone was on board with the deal. But Reggie jumped the gun a bit when he was writing out the terms of the loan. Terms she wasn't willing to concede to. Some guy she didn't really know on the deed? Nonsense. Only Beverly's and Saibot's names were on there, and there were no plans to add anymore.
On a side note, Garm isn't in the deed because he figured if he would end up dying, it would be for Beverly. A week of trying to convince him otherwise failed, so he is not on the deed.
In any case Beverly allowed the loaner to finish his form before letting her see it. Which she didn't.
"Oh, I'm sorry...well, not sorry, but I am not signing this. I'm not putting anyone else on the deed to this place. Caritas is *mine*. Thrive or fail, I'm on the deed, Saibot is on the deed. No. One. Else.
Unless you have a better plan, I suggest you make it so you get a piece of sales."

"Oh entirely fair enough ma'am! I completely understand your apprehension! Don't worry hehe just got to switch a few checkboxes to get everything set up for the piece of sales agreement! Just a bit of legal wibbly wobblies I gotta write around", he gave a nod and would turn back to the digital document, changing some of the filled out forms and checkboxes. He hummed to himself again seeming quite happy in his work, and quite quick to make changes. He'd probably done this a lot after all.
"aaannnnd done! There ya go! All set up so it legally works out to a share of profits, hehe how's um 30% sound? That's of course from the profit! From the net I mean, heh, so you guys will have money for yourselves and to fix up the place and keep it running, then I get the 30%, just to keep it as fair as possible to all of you. If that seems like too much just let me know and I'l change it right away, or I can change it at any time later if you find yourselves struggling or in excess.", he nodded
"I should also mention how risky this is for me, I mean while you get the funds immediately I still have to get downtown to finalize this on my end! Meaning f anything happened to me you'd have quite a chunk of free cash Miss Beverly! And in a world of digimon it's quite the risk I'm taking hehe, so I hope you understand my urgency, I do have lots of other businesses here that I've given this deal to, and they're all yet to be submitted!", he added sounding a bit nervous suddenly, probably thinking about what could go wrong. It seemed he was taking quite a few leaps of faith himself to help these people out.

Reggie was quite eager to reconsider the deal, good. All things considered he'll be drowned in bits once everyone starts paying him back. A new set of agreements were made, and Bev looked them over.
"30% is kinda steep. But I want this loan business over and done with as fast as I can. And as I hear no nay saying, I'm going to sign."
Beverly signed, noting how much money she needed on the form, then crossed her arms. "Trust me, I'm not going to kill you just for money. Even if I planned to,it'll most likely come back to bite me on the ass later. Anyway, run along... I need to make some other calls."
She walked off, leaving the stage, and to the back to speak with Saibot. She hoped this was a good decision... the amount of money she asked for wasn't too much, really. She didn't want a long lasting loan to weigh on her.

As soon as she signed he'd grab the paper and roll it back up sealing it with a nice ribbon and gave a smile. "Don't worry Ma'am! I'll head right out of your way now", he took off his hat and bowed. "And thank you kindly for the reassurance! I appreciate all you business owners in this town and I loooove to help where I can", he added before standing up strait and putting the paper into his hat, reaching down to grab his briefcase he'd left on the stage a while back and then slowly stepping into the water to wade to the door.
The deal was done and he seemed pretty happy about it, humming and walkign with an almost dance like stride to the door not turning back to Beverly. "Now don't worry you already have the money I just need to finalize stuff downtown, I'll head there now. , He reiterated in the doorway. " I just love to surprise people with ma' generosity!", was his last words as he waved without turning back stepping out the door, leaving quick as he came down the street.
What an odd digimon... But at least he seemed to mean well.

And so, Reggie did indeed get his new customer, leaving happily to do his job with others and to send some stuff in. Of course, she didn't buy into his whole "friendly" approach beyond just him being more appealing to get services from him. But, hey, it's how he does it and he could have been worse.
Fishy sighed, relaxing in her seat on the stage. "Well... fssshhh that was something, right?"
"A part of me is regretting that decision, I admit. But it just means I have to work harder to pay the loan back."
It was the next evening. Aside from aiding in some of the debris clearing work and, well, aiding in fighting off a super powered Airdramon, the day was uneventful.
Caritas was no longer flooded, but some of the floors needed to be replaced due to water damage. With the money Bev got, she ordered some supplies from out of town. Really, ordering from whitewater seems a bit... impractical all things considered. She would have one of her employees or That Guilmon pick it up later. But for now, Beverly was weary from today's events.
It was her and Garm, sitting at a table. Beverly was having a drink, working out a budget plan for the nightclub, Sinclair was upstairs, and Fishy and Saibot were out.
"...well, perhaps I can cut down on the cost of chairs. I think the place sells the ones I want cheaper."
"Hey, Beverly..."
"Yes?"
"Well..."
Garm hesitated a bit, looking nervous, but he shook his head. "No, never mind."
"It's not like you to be sheepish, Garm. But... I'm not gonna pry."

It was oddly quiet outside... well for a split second before the door leaned up against the entrance was slammed down and in and a good old friend of their's pushed his head into the doorway. "Did someone say prryyy!? Don't mind if I do!", Tweek called out letting himself right in wearing the suit of that gabumon from earlier He didn't seem to hesitate at all showing himself right in front of the woman who most wanted to ring his neck in the entire digital world, not even looking at her most of the time. As he walked though the door fully he fling his fedora up in the air where a coat rack would be but probably wasn't so it most likely just fell to the floor as he waltzed right up to the table they were talking at and would lean on in.
"Hehe oh you two are so cute! Like my OTP, I mean nothing could come between you! I'm so glad I'm going to be spending so much more time seeing both of you!", he grinned standing back up to fix the collars of the too small suitcoat. He would then turn back to them and sit at the table forming a chair from his own bodymass to sit on and making it look similar to theirs, just giving a big sharp tooth smile to both of them.

Bev and Garm looked to the still broken door, once more falling down with a loud thud, revealing an old someone-they-never-wamted-to-see-again-but-knew-they-would-inevitably, Tweek. He came in, wearing Reggie's suit, walking in and mocking her and Garm's relationship, and claiming they would see more of each other.
Bev had a slight idea what had happened. She knew of Tweek's shape-shifting ability. She had been set up! Of course, at this range Beverly can kill him, she believed. But she wanted to know exactly what crap that slimy weasal did.
Sinclair had came down, hearing the door fall and wanted to see what was going on. "Hey, what is all that no- OH GOD YOU!!!"
While Garm had a look of annoyance, and Bev had one of restrained anger, Sinclair had one of abject fear. From Bev's voice, it was obvious she restrained her anger towards him.
"I am *not* killing anyone for you, Tweek. I don't care if you did... whatever the hell you did. And why do you know my sis... scratch that, I think I can figure that out myself.
I'm going to need a stronger drink..."
