PARENTAL INFLUENCE [1/?]
For some reason or another, the day looked bleak. The sun had decided to hide itself in the endless expanse of clouds that now populated the sky. Gray, probably rainclouds that made the light that came down to this place look almost as if it were... off. It was something a little unsettling, but that didn't deter the endless flora in the eastern timberlands to sway on a tranquil fashion at the not-so-soft wind that blew. And of course it didn't deter Mana from being in there too.
Even if the weather wasn't the best, it was still nice to be out there without any apparent concern in mind. She walked on a surprisingly slow fashion, betraying the usual fast-paced hops that she usually did, but that wasn't out of depression or mental anguish, but out of pure calm. It was a surprising development, given that she had terminantly terminated her relationship with Charles not even five hours ago and still, she hadn't cried. She felt sad, but calm at the same time, but maybe the feeling that permeated all her being the most was still that strange sort of calm. A calm that, for some reason or another, suppressed all her other feelings, giving her expression a definite cold tinge. A tinge that both Ayaka and Penny had been noticing in their journey from Mainframe hills to their current spot; the edge of the Village of the Beginnings.
"Miss Mana, are you alright?" The sprite inquired, worry tinging her words on the most subtle way. Mana just looked back at her with a even expression, not sad, but not happy either. What could possibly be on her mind? Both the fairy and the dragon had been trying to find an answer to that very question from some time, but they've been failing. Ayaka expected her partner to feel something... anything after what had happened, but this... this was the pinnacle of weirdness.
"I'm fine." Were the only words the brunette muttered as she kept walking towards their obvious destination. Ayaka frowned, not sure of what to make of that answer. It was truthful, but it wasn't Mana. It was almost as if someone else was using her body and she hadn't noticed or some weird thing like that, because... she was just showing no emotions at all, and that was so uncharacteristic from the fairy's partner that she couldn't but feel extremely puzzled at the whole.
"Can I borrow your D-Terminal, Miss?" Was the question that followed suit from the Ayaka's mouth. If she couldn't make out what exactly happened to Mana, maybe her most precious person would, but that was a coinflip. Maybe, she'd just shy away from him? Or maybe she wouldn't even lend her her D-Terminal. Nobody said that she would, after all.
With an absent gesture, the girl handed the device to her partner as she kept walking. She hadn't even uttered a word, or asked to who she wanted to send a message. It was distracting and unsettling, but maybe she was just overreacting? Could it be that she was just expecting her to react, but not getting one was okay anyway? She didn't know, but felt frustrated about this whole situation anyway. She began to write carefully, as if thinking every word that came out from the device.
From: Tsumura Mana <Ayaka> To: Noguchi Ryouta <Ryouta-san> Subject: Um...
Hello, Ryouta-san. I'm writing because, uh, um... I don't know how to say it, but... we stumbled into Charles by accident that now things are really over between them. Miss Mana is taking it surprisingly well, or so it shows, but she looks a bit... I don't know. It's almost as if she wasn't her. I know that I'm not making any sense, but I don't find any sense on this too. I don't know if you want to come here or not, but I'm sending our coordinates with this message. What do you think it'd be the best to do here?

In the real world, Ryouta himself just trained himself for another hour and is drinking his homemade jelly/energy drink mix. He wasn't expecting a mail when it come and signed to his draconic partner to pick up the D-Terminal which he put neatly on the bed. Ryouta wiped his sweats off to not make the salty liquid fell on the digital device. Dracomon was about to go back to sleep before Ryouta suddenly grabbed him by the tail, which made him turned at him quizzically.
"...Mana..."
Ryouta quickly typed a reply rapidly, even faster than usual. He know his girlfriend quite a lot... and if she has broken with Charles, silence is odd... he suspected that she's actually... actually is in great problem. Emotional problem that be... However, the thing is, if it's his girlfriend concerned odd only means that she's calm or suc... and to be frank, he doesn't believe that 'she's fine with it' or 'she's calm about it'... inside, she must be feeling miserable... Of course that might be his paranoia, but he has seen her episodes. He felt bad, but it's nothing compared to her breaking down.
To: Tsumura Mana <Ayaka> From: Noguchi Ryouta <Ryouta> Subject: Re: Um...
I got it. Give me several minutes. I'll be there. On the sidenotes, let's not ask her about it... just be there for her, I think... Make her think positive stuffs. I'll be there really quickly... I'm afraid that if I let her be, she'll be drowning in her problem. OK, so Village of Beginning, right? I got it. Lemme go there. Also, if Mana know that you're sending this message, best to tell her that I'll be coming.
And so, just like that, Ryouta quickly grabbed his a-shirt and wore his cargo pants after spraying quite good amount of shower-in-a-can and some deodorant. Quickly, he told Dracomon to come with him. With the now baby dragon Digimon inside his backpack, Ryouta paced to the station with his bicycle and gone to the usual sealed off platform to enter Trailmon.
The journey was uneventful, but Ryouta wished that he could gone faster... the thing is, if he had gone Wingdramon from the start, what would Mana think about it? No doubt that she'd feel worse, at least to Ryouta's mind. The black haired boy sighed and watches as the scenario changed slowly from the usual plains into the forest. After the train gone into full stop, the black haired body descended from it and walked toward where his Digivice leads him to.
He just hoped that he's on the right path... he hoped that she'll talk to him and maybe they can do some picnic to sort their mind from all the chaos...

The trio just kept walking in silence. Ayaka returned the digital comunicator back to her owner, who received it with a shrug, without even eyeing it. Ayaka, conscious of the answer and that Ryouta had already told her about that, began explaining. "I messaged Ryouta-san, Miss." she explained to her. "He said that he come here shortly. Is that alright for you?"
And the answer was... another shrug. How annoyingly infuriating! What happened to her that she's this way? She just couldn't figure it out, and seeing her partner in that state of utter indifference made her want to rip her nonexistant hair off.
Penny, of course was a lot more confused than the fairy. She just didn't know what exactly triggered this, but it was already this way before Mana and Charles terminated all, and it was... unsettling, to say the least. She wanted so bad to just get inside the girl's mind and just know what was inside there, but as of now, it just seemed that Mana was just a blank slate, walking, breathing and responding only because those were automatic processes, even if they really werent.
Just when they were about to enter the place, Penny heard footsteeps approaching. Looking there, he saw the familiar silhouettes of Ryouta and Dracomon, and immediately waved at them. Mana, noticing this, turned at the same time than Ayaka, looking at the two of them with neuter expression, as if the girl was devoid of emotions. She gave them a single wave before turning and keeping her way.
Well, that was definitely something weird; the weirdest thing that Ayaka had seen in her life. Mana, not giving too much mind to her boyfriend, specially given the fact that now they were a full-fledged couple? That was unsettling; the most unsettling thing that she had seen in her entire digital life, but she had chosen not to speak for the time being. For some reason, she got the impression from Mana that she just wanted to be left alone. Yet, why they were going to the Village of the Beginnings, then? All this made absolutely no sense. At all.

They saw Mana and co. from far away. Dracomon gingerly waved at them, but looked dejected when Mana seem to not like herself at all. Meanwhile, Ryouta, after seeing that immediately understood that she's certainly was way off. The boy hastened his pace to match his girlfriend's position. However, on the way, he had his D-Terminal open and quickly typed a message to a certain guy he know that probably knows her better than him... well, it's time to ask an Oniisan's instinct.
To: Tsumura Yuu From: Noguchi Ryouta Subject: ...Uh, I Need a Brother's Instinct
...Yuu, I don't know how to say this, but... um... have you heard from anyone that Mana got an ex-boyfriend? Yeah, he's now officially an ex, but... well, how to say this, but basically... I'm in great trouble. She's not willing to acknowledge me fully and is looking like a walking dead... She's like... totally lifeless! I know I don't make sense so let's start from the bedasrrrr
The message was getting gibberish when suddenly Ryouta accidentally crashed on a tree, accidentally sending it to the other boy. Ryouta massaged his hurting nose and rubbed his forehead. Dang, he never know that slamming unwillingly against a tree could be this hurt. The boy turned to Dracomon who looks worriedly at him. He guessed that it's normal because for the little dragon, it's as if seeing dysfunctional brother and sister. After apologizing to the small dragon, he sighed.
To: Tsumura Yuu From: Noguchi Ryouta Subject: ...Uh, I Need a Brother's Instinct (Cont'd)
Sorry about that. I accidentally crashed into a tree... well... uh... how to say this. Mana acts like a zombie, yeah... I mean... what the normal emotions when you broke up with someone? Not to mention, Mana seem feeling pretty bad before toward this ex-boyfriend because he's apparently some cool guy... not someone that is bad... it's only his spirits that is bad. However... well...
Right now, she's completely calm. Oddly, very emotionlessly, nonsensically calm. I don't like this, Yuu. I really don't like this. There's just something wrong. Generally, Mana would probably cry or something, but right now, it's almost like she wanted to be alone. I don't want to leave her alone. I think, there must be something I can do for her. I mean... I'm her boyfriend, aren't I!?
But... but I don't want to step on wrong path. She's stressed enough... What do you think I should do? I totally need your help on this. I'm sorry that I sounded pathetic, but this is just the way it is. I'm really clueless... and I don't want to hurt her more than she's currently.

On a far away and distant land... that actually was a small suburb in Boston, Massachussetts, a brown-haired boy was reading a book thoughtfully, studying its contents dutifully. It was pretty late at night, so he was about to head to bed and get some hours of rest because tomorrow he had a pretty big exam. Yet... plans never work as intended, right? Out of the blue, his D-Terminal began beeping on a manner than even awoke Kyo, who had been sleeping just besides him on her Tokomon X form. He sighed, knowing that probably it wasn't Mana because she knew the time difference between Japan and the States.
So... even if she wasn't, he wasn't one of receiving too much messages; well, that had changed a bit since his relationship with Koharu, but that wasn't the point, because she too knew of the time difference. So... either was one of them and they were having an emergency or it was somebody else. And there was only one way to find that out. With a tired gesture, knowing that maybe he would lose precious hours of resting time, he opened the device and checked the message's contents. His eyes widened at the words that shone in the screen before his eyes, and even Kyo looked a little distressed at his expression, even if he hadn't reacted in a significant fashion.
"Are you alright, Yuu?" Kyo asked, jumping gracefully towards his shoulder. She eyed the message too, and immediately understood what was happening, even if its execution had been sloppy due to Ryouta... bumping into a tree. Honestly, that only showed how much he cared for Mana, and warmed the mon's heart somewhat. She gestured at Yuu, who immediately snapped out of his reverie and began typing on the small computer.
From: Tsumura Yuu <Yuu> To: Noguchi Ryouta <Ryouta> Subject: Re: ...Uh, I Need a Brother's Instinct
Yes, I did; Karin told me about it, so I'm not entirely foreign to the matter, but I think that I'm far from the person who knows the most about it. But like a zombie, you say? That's weird. Really and unexplainably weird. Mana's usually one who doesn't conceal what she's feeling, unless...
I don't know how it feels to break up to someone, as I haven't lived that experience yet, but if you say that she already felt bad and now she looks like a she's walking lifelessly, I can only think of one outcome; she just feels empty. She's not displaying any emotion because they were drained out of her, or so I suppose. I've seen her emotionally drained before, and she just behaves as if she were a robot, so maybe that what's happening right now? I can't really nail it down, as I'm not seeing her, but if that's not the case, I can't imagine of something else.
Now, on to you, if you wish to help her, I'm afraid that while it may be really frustrating, the best you can do is to stay besides her while she goes through this. She may seem unresponsive for now, but I'm sure that she'll be thankful with you once she goes back to her usual self. Just one thing; don't treat her any different from what you would usually and specially, don't try to comfort her unless she explicitly says that she feels sad or something like that. Saying those things would probably make the situation worse.
Also, you don't sound pathetic at all. I'm glad that I can trust her welfare to you, so don't give that crap to me. I'd go where you currently are, but I'm gambling my future on tomorrow's exams, and if I don't get some sleep, I'll probably die. I'm leaving her in your hands, and I expect you messaging wether she recovers or not by the end of the next day. Until then, please take good care of my sister, and don't doubt to message me if you need anything else.
Sighing, he closed his D-Terminal after sending that message. He was relieved that Mana had somebody she could trust on nearby her, and that person had his trust, but for some reason, she had a bad feeling about this. Or maybe, it was a bad feeling about the exams. Shrugging them off the best he could, he got on his bedclothes and laid in his bed, closing hi eyes, but finding sleep elusive at first. He truly cared for her, and wished that she could get out of this alright.

After sending the message, Ryouta walked forward to where his girlfriend is currently, this time more concentrated on it. He is on a noticeable distance from her when his D-Terminal beeped with Yuu's message. Quickly, he reads the content... as he thought, Mana is emotionally drained. The breakup must be worse than just 'I'll cut the ties with you' or something like that...
As much as he wanted to reply to Yuu's message, the other boy must be really losing some sleeping time, so he decided to send a quick 'thanks, I'll try to do what you say. If something goes wrong, I want you to kick my ass the next day'. So, not treating her any different from usual... Ryouta found that a bit hard, but he understand.. Last thing Mana want is to be reminded of the incident.
The black haired boy quickly approached his girlfriend. "Hey, Mana! Slow down a bit, would you? Geez..." he said that in good manner as he grinned. He's not expecting her to reply him or reacted to his words, but he decided to act as always. So... in this kind of scenario, he generally crossed his arms on the back of his head, just like always... and that what he's doing currently.
"So, going to Village of Beginning? Mind if I tag along? You ever said that there's a Cormmon that thought of you like a mother, so I'm kind of curious..." Ryouta commented. "Maybe visiting her might be a good surprise... Maybe I can help the old Jureimon a bit... and maybe, we can ask more about the digitama of Ayaka's mother..."
As if positively acknowledging the boy's word, Isana's egg shakes slightly. A small crack appeared on it. As one might thought, probably the ex-Dark Area dweller getting more and more impatient. One would probably chuckle at that and comments 'typical old woman'. However, it's seem she just cracked the shell to tell them that she'll hatch soon, not to immediately get out of it.
For this one journey, however, to make Dracomon more sensitive toward Mana's feeling, Ryouta evolved him into Coredramon, who walked behind them. He looked at Penny for a bit... speaking of which, as his thought process is upgraded in this form, when he looked at Penny, he seem blushed slightly and scratched the side of his maw, not sure what to talk with the currently smaller dragon.
"...Err... Hi, Penny-chan."
Actually, he wished that Ryouta evolved him into Slayerdramon instead. Unlike the overconfident Wingdramon with his temper issue, Slayerdramon is wiser and cooler. In this form, he's like an awkward teen! It's rather confusing! Not to mention, he found the smaller dragon cute and charming in many way. Has their role reversed for this one? Geez, geez, geez!
"...Aniki, why can't we access Slayerdramon fully?"
"Uh, no idea, bud. Maybe it's because it's in heat of a moment, but maybe there's something else that needed to trigger it. Honestly, I myself have no idea. Maybe if we can reach some sort of... well, if we know what our Justice is, probably we'll able to access it eventually... Just... be patient?"

PARENTAL INFLUENCE [2/?]
On their path towards the Village, Mana heard her boyfriend's call. Obliging, she stopped cold just on her place turning around, watching him intently. "Hi, Ryo-kun." She simply said before turning back and walking again towards the same direction, albeit on a much slower pace. She gave no indication that she was hearing the boy's words, but answered as soon as he finished doing so.
"Yes, I am. No, I don't mind. Yes, I mentioned that to you before." Were her first three answers; she was about to continue with her answers, but her feet unexpectedly became entangled with a root and she fell face-first to the floor.
"Damn." She muttered under her breath as she got up on a surprisingly quick motion, wiping the dirt from her clothes, arms and face. "Visiting probably is going to be a good thing, but hardly a surprise, I guess. I've been pampering her since a while now. And yes, asking would probably help."
On a swift motion, the egg began to crack and Ayaka's eyes widened at that quite readily. Even if Mana's mind state wasn't the best, this development meant too much for Ayaka to just pass it up. With her vine-like limbs, she retrieved the egg from the girl's backpack and cradled it in her hands, carrying it the same way she'd carry a child. Her fingers traced the cracks, and she couldn't but feel something akin to bliss inside this storm. Maybe Isana would be able to figure some sense about this situation, but maybe that was just too wishful. Maybe she wouldn't she wouldn't remembered, and if she did, maybe she wouldn't have heard what has happened since she had become an egg. But being hopeful was all that Ayaka had left in this kind of situation.
Curiously the only one who noticed (or seemed to notice) that Dracomon wasn't dracomon was Penny. She noticed the strange look that the now-adult dragon gave to her and the... blush? Alright, as if things couldn't get weirder. Despite that... and even if she was flattered to the dragon's now shy nature, the urge to tease was just too high. She beamed at him innocently as she greeted him.
"Hi Dracomon-kun, or do I have to call you Coredramon-kun now? You know... staring is considered unpolite, but if it's you, I consider it to be... flattering. What did I do to deserve such kind of undivided attention from your part? You aren't looking at the stains in my armor, do you? I haven't polished it in a while, and days have been really hectic as of late. Anyway, how have you been?"
Suddenly and without a warning, Mana turned again to face to face her boyfriend. "Say, Ryo-kun..." She asked with an even, almost neuter tone. She looked a him directly in his eyes with a gaze that could pierce even the hardest Chrome Digizoid as if it were paper. After a pause that seemed even too long, five words erupted from her mouth in an tense, almost forced manner. "Why do you love me?"

The moment he saw his girlfriend fall and he's too late to catch her, Ryouta tried to clean her up. However, apparently she has done it quicker than he could. The boy winced. Has the effect of the breakup this severe? Ryouta sighed and tried to clean the leftover of what she couldn't clean. "Geez, careful, will you? You OK? Let's just hold hands so that won't happened again..."
He's saying that in his usual worried manner, but he haven't touched the subject. If she want, she'll bring it. He'll be waiting, that's for sure. Ryouta looked at his girlfriend's situation... it's just as if she's wailing in self pity, but it was just too great, too great that she can't get out of it. He wanted to hug her, but... well, that won't do or she would probably snap.
The crack spreads out more as it's apparent that the bleak situation made the inhabitant to be rather impatient... With one final crack, a Plumulmon appeared from the egg... normally, a Plumulmon would be as close as it could to normal seed with grey 'shell' of the seed, white body with yellow amber eyes and plant-like leaf on top of it... but Isana is clearly different with her seed being deep red and her body is brown. Her eyes, too, are yellow instead of amber. The leaf on the top of the seed, the plumula, somehow is shaped differently.
"..."
Clearly she want to speak, but unable to. Her gesture totally says 'this is troublesome'. On the back of her seed, there's a small digital hazard mark, signifying her status as poison user. Isana hopped down from her shell to the ground and quickly dug a hole for her to take some nutrient.
"Ara... she's a bit different from the Plumulmon I often saw..." Ryouta commented. Isana simply looking at him like saying 'of course boy, I'm not a normal Plumulmon afterall'. Well, that can wait. The focus now is seem to be the two dragon which looks awfully loveydovey.... or at least on Penny's side because Coredramon is very much shy on this situation.
"...E-er, anything would do... and... uh..." he dunno where to look. She said staring is impolite, but what can he do anyway? This small dragon has made quite number of gestures to show her shy sides and for the dragon now that has grown up, this is sign of crush. He doesn't mind it, at all. In fact, he felt flattered. But the thing is... How to say to her that he though she's cute?
"...Um, no, no... your armor being all dirty means you're a competent warrior and... uh, you're busy, so that's good! I mean, that means you're dedicated to your job! Uh... and um, I'm looking at your... fur? It's golden and it's beautiful---eh, I mean!" it's clear that he got a lot of slips now and then. Poor poor dragon. "Um... I'm fine." he finally blurted out at Penny's question.
Ryouta wanted to laugh looking at his partner like that, but suddenly, Mana turned to him, making him nearly crashed on her this time. But the thing is, her stare just made him gulped. She suddenly asked something that he never thought she'd ask. ...Well, being stared at like that, how should he reply? He quickly devised something and come with some answer... she wanted truth, therefore, he'll say the truth.
"...To be honest, I have no idea," that is said very blatantly. "There's a time where you're just a little sister... there's time where I'm worried about your well being, but not above sister. I dunno... I dunno why could human feels love... is there is a reason? Is there is an explanation? Is there is a reason why this feeling changed into those of looking you as a female? I don't know, but... what I know is..."
Ryouta stroked her cheek lovingly. "...Whenever I saw you hurt, I'd feel hurt... whenever I saw you smile, I'd feel like my world has brightened... whenever I saw you laugh, I'd laugh too... whenever you're not with me, I'd miss you a lot... I don't want to lose you... and by then, I noticed that this feeling isn't feeling of a big brother toward his little sister. If you ask me why do I love you, I don't really know, but I love you because you are you, I guess... you made me at home. You tug my heart to hug you and protect you... I love being with you, I enjoyed your company, I enjoyed you being around. That's just that. If I lose you... I don't know what to do..."

Absentmindedly, and after the boy's words, Mana's left hand clasped along Ryouta's right on an almost robotic motion. Her hand almost unnaturally cold to the touch, but what was most surprising was that even if the girl seemed serene, her grip on her boyfriend's hand was... strange, for the lack of a better word. It wasn't particularly strong, but it had a lingering sensation of despair. Her small hand was trembling too, almost uncontrollably, but her demeanor and expression just were the ones of a person who seemed to be on a calmed state of mind. She just kept walking onwards, not uttering a word.
However, when the cracking sound just became too evident, she turned to Ayaka, the current holder of Isana's egg. The fairy laid the egg on the ground, sitting in front of it. From it, her unborn relative emerged yet again; an obviously different Plumulmon. The newborn was received with a smile from her niece, and even Mana, who crouched down to face her partner's aunt with something that looked like the most vague hints of a smile. Even if she looked like she wanted so speak, almost everybody knew that that was just impossible given the circumstances.
"Welcome back." The girl mused as Isana made her way into the ground, all too eager to feed herself. "It's... good to meet you. Ayaka has told me very much about you, Isa-chan. My name's Mana; hopefully we can become good friends."
Those were the first words that seemed to come out with emotion from her mouth since they began their path. Even Ayaka, who was too busy at making sure that Isana had all her needs accounted noted this, and a genuine smile surged from her usually calm and collected face. This, combined with the emotions spurred by this very moment, made the forest sprite cry out of joy. Finally, after so much time of actually not understanding anything about her past, she was reunite with a meaningful part of it; a part that she cherished as if she were her mother. Even in her sorry state, Mana's arms were the first ones who enveloped her frame, helping her to deal with all these feelings that were overflowing from her insides.
"Okaa-sama..." She tentatively said, as if she were not believing the words that were surging out of her mouth. "I... I cannot believe that you are with us again. This is just so... unbelivable. I-I have missed you so much... Thank you for coming back."
She gingerly hugged the Plumulmon in her spot on the floor, too careful to not to interrupt her in her meal. She wasn't exactly one that relied on physical gestures to show her emotions, but this very moment just meant too much for her. Now, on their newly adopted spot, Mana finally sat with something akin to relaxation, as her petite frame just fell down the soft grass of the forest. For a second, it became obvious that she was extremely tired, both physically and emotionally, but that small hint only lasted for a split second at much.
Penny, on her side, looked like she found enjoyment on seeing Coredramon becoming flustered. She giggled, finding his jumpiness cute. "Ah, come on, Coredramon-kun, don't be shy; you looked to be quite the talker back in Ryouta's house. We even shared a fruit! Don't tell me that a Tailmon got your tongue. That'd too bad."
She giggled again at his nervous attempts to justify himself, but at the end just approached him and gave him a sincere smile. "Teasing aside, why are you nervous? I'm the same Penny-chan, I can assure you! I haven't changed a bit, so drop the act and let us enjoy ourselves, okay? By the way, the flattery is really appreciated, specially the fur bit! I have to say that your scales are bluer than usual; does that mean that you've been exercising? Great for you."
Gesturing at him, she directed herself to where the newborn currently. Knowing somebody that commanded that amount of respect from Ayaka surely was something; something made her quite curious. She had heard bits and pieces of Isana's tale, but never the whole story, and meeting her in person was something she had been looking up to for some time. Trying to not to disturb the rather emotional moment than both Mana and Ayaka were having, she sat at a little more away from her than the fairy and the girl. Spoiling something that emotional would be definitely sad, and she didn't want that.
And even then, the brunette's question seemed to disturb that. It still lingered in the air, even if the eyes that had made it had softened a great deal. Mana's gaze was still cold, and piercing, but at least now it looked like as if there were a fraction of her in there. However, the boy's answer caught her off-guard. She looked like tearing up, but her expression remained only with the meager emotion had been capable of mustering so far.
She got up and looked intently at him as she heard everything he said. The words coursed through her as if they were a wild torrent, and finally succeeded on making a hole on the dam that was repressing all her emotions. It was relatively small, but small was enough right now. Before long, Mana flung herself at the boy's arms, hugging him with all the meager force that moment would lend to her as tears descended wildly from her face
"C-can we stay like this for a m-moment, Ryo-kun? I-I'm sorry for being imposing, but... I don't know what I'm f-feeling myself. I-It's as if I had forgotten what's the difference between b-being happy or sad or... between loving and hating. I'm f-feeling so lost, y-yet..." A pause tore through her speech as her body relaxed on the slightiest of ways, as if preparing itself to what she was about to say. "F-for some reason, w-what you said just felt r-right... Thank you, Ryo-kun."
Mana, too physically and emotionally drained to keep talking, just hugged and cried. Neither of them was particularly strong right now, but at some intervals she seemed to grow a little hysterical for no apparent reason. The episodes didn't last long, but were an unsettling view anyway. She didn't seem that she'd let go any time soon, and things as they were, maybe they'd have to spend the day on that position. Or maybe not, as nothing from Mana could be taken for granted in her current state.

Did something happened? It's totally like she's not alive. Feeling the cold touch, Ryouta quickly gripped it with his own, trying to warm it up. They said peoples with better built muscles are warmer than those not... he just hope that's true... because all he want is to make her comfortable. However, noticing her trembling hand just made it even worse... Ryouta is unsure what to do... He wanted to assure her that he'll always be here, right beside her, but...
...Well, luckily the day is saved by the now hatched Plumulmon. Ryouta relaxed significantly when he heard Mana's words... it's there, she's still there... there's a chance that she'll return... and that gives him a bit of happiness... a bit of hope. Mana being herself is all he wanted currently. Meanwhile, the Plumulmon stared at Ayaka with something resembling a wry face... at least for a Plumulmon that be.
However, her biggest concern is apparently when Mana addresses her as Isa-chan. Her face says she disapproves it. She's an old lady afterall. Calling her like that would be uncalled for. It doesn't fit her age, However, looking at Ayaka crying, the small Plumulmon 'bowed' down and gently rubs her leaf on her niece's 'cheek' as if telling her it's alright and that she's there.
A poof came from her out of sudden and now she's a Cormmon. The leaf on her face is totally red, and the bulb itself is also red. She looks like an onion, with green eyes, that be. It's seem she only need small amount of food to evolves afterall... maybe it's because the place is well nourished? Like her other form, Isana bears the Digital Hazard symbol, this time on her forehead.
"...Honestly, children these days..." typical to her, Isana wryly remarked. "I already told you I will come back, but if your reaction is like this, then you're far from being an adult, Ayaka. You're still a child afterall. Now, all the catch-up could wait. Why don't you let me eat a bit more? We can talk after that... Also... I'm pretty sure there's a lot of things you wanted to tell me..."
Looking at Mana fell to the ground in rather tired manner (although she's seem doing it on purpose), both Ryouta and Isana stared at her, the former being very worried about her, while the latter understood what just happened. She's sticking very close with Ayaka afterall. Still, she decides to not took part in it. Who would took part in something like that when the food around here felt like HEAVEN!?
"...I wished they could taste these soils... it's just very heavenlike compared to our soil back then... Suffocating and dry, without mineral... fertilization only possible because of death of another... until now, living in such condition where your family becomes your food because there's nothing else... I can't help but to think... maybe I should've just pushed myself and tries to get a way to escape that dark place."
Meanwhile, Ryouta's partner has gone from flustered to really embarrassed remembering the incident in Ryouta's house. He's been talkative, yeah. He's been very cheerful and probably chattered more than he though it's possible with a girl... Coredramon scratched the sides of his maw yet again.
"...I've been chatting too much back then... I... I was a chattermouth because I'm... well, I'm just a little kid back then! I just chatted because I was overly excited! I'm really easily excited on that form... and honestly, it's rather bothersome sometimes, but I guess that wasn't the point and uh... thanks. I guess it's just me changing scales periodically."
But because the other dragon told him to relax, that he'll do. Coredramon sat (although at this point it's not clear whether he's simply sitting or actually only crouching, but at least he's relaxing). Looking at where Penny gestured, Coredramon just watched at the interaction. It's really a great reunion. He can't help but to feel happy for the forest fairy.
However, how does his partner fares? Coredramon looked at Ryouta who affectionately stroking Mana's cheek, confessing his feeling. He was crouching back then... Coredramon smiled... he just hoped that the brunette would eventually goes back to her old self. The two are cute, yes... But as Coredramon, sometimes their interaction goes too cheesy for his liking and he would get out of the room to give them some... room.
As for Ryouta himself... He's caught by surprise at how his girlfriend suddenly tossed herself at him. Gently, he hugged her back, kissing top of her head like always. She doesn't need to say anything. Even if his shirt got wet and it's stained by her snot, then so be it. He doesn't care. He'll comfort her anytime she need it. Ryouta gently kissed her again and again.
"It's OK... You can hug me as long as you want. No, you're not being imposing. Just do what you want, alright? It's OK, it's OK..."
The black haired boy strokes her head several times, above those of calming a little sister. He wanted to say 'just after this ends, please return to the usual Mana', but no... he won't say it. Her hysterical fits just exactly what he wanted... it's better than damming it. It'll destroy her if she keep it. That's why, all the more reason for his shorter girlfriend to count on him more, so Ryouta thought. However, he won't force her. He'll let her slowly let it out.

PARENTAL INFLUENCE [3/?]
Ayaka, being none the wiser, just smiled at her aunt, not caring at her face, but just at the fact that she was here, with her. She noticed Mana's blunder, but her expression didn't waver. She hadn't explained what type of digimon her aunt was, and given that the only other Plumulmon she had known had been rather cheerful, as opposed to her, probably she had thought that she wouldn't mind. But she had, even though that she knew that she wouldn't make a big fuss out of it. Or at least, she expected that.
Her evolution had been quite fast. Really fast, and it had surprised Ayaka, who now looked at the red Cormmon, perplexed. However, she snapped back to reality when she heard the childlike voice of her aunt. Even if her words were scolding one, it was rather difficult to be taken seriously when they were pronounced by a digimon on it's baby form. Taking seat just besides her, she nodded to her words.
"You had not lost your sense of humor, it seems." The fairy said, looking at Ryouta's and Mana's exchange. Then, she whispered to her on a barely audible voice "And, even if I always pretend to be the mature one, I guess that the truth is out there for all to see, huh? I guess that I am indeed a child at heart, but... I wouldn't have it in any other way. Specially around okaa-sama."
Sitting on a comfortable silence besides her as she took nourishment from the floor, she sadly nodded to her next words. Her 'sisters' would have loved this place. They'd have loved to have lived in the surface, and probably they'd have loved to share this family moment without being preoccupied about the next time that someone would try to come and absorb their datas. Life there was surely hard, but she was sure that a lot of fond memories could be made now. She would finally feel what it felt like to have a family as small as it may be, and that just made everything look a little brighter.
As Coredramon watched at the little couple doing... couple things, Penny couldn't help but to smile at him and at them. She closed the distance between her and Coredramon and cuddled with him just a bit. "Isn't it romantic?" She asked, looking at them dreamily. "To believe that I was there, when everything between them really began... it's kinda unbelivable."
Mana, on her side, just cried her heart out as she hugged Ryouta. They staid that way, at least until her self-consciousness almost shouted to her that probably his shirt was soaked wet both in tears and snot. She broke apart quickly, wiping the remnants of body fluids with by bringing out the tissue box she always carried. "I-I'm sorry. I took adventage of y-your kindness, Ryo-kun. I'll... m-make up to you, I p-promise."
She finished to clean herself, and finally gave him a smile. It wasn't her usual, cheerful smile, but something a lot more conservative. "He... h-hates me, Ryo-kun. He... l-left me and I just w-wanted to say the same to him so the b-both of us could go on with their lives, b-but I saw his face after I g-gave him my o-own... letter. H-he... hates me."

"What is this humor you speaks of? I'm still an old lady, that fact won't change, Ayaka. It's simple as that. And it's normal for the younger one to pay respect to the older one, and it's normal for the older one to guide the younger one. Now, I'll tell you what I learned inside the egg... I know most of things happened outside while I'm inside, trying to reform back myself.. Therefore... is there is anything you want to tell me other than what I know? Or is there is something you wanted to ask this old lady, Ayaka?"
Still, maybe it's because she's not so used to the affection, Isana seem to have a bit of problem with expressing her feeling, just like Ayaka. However, should it count on it, it's clear she can be the mother bear or very annoying mother-in-law toward those who dared to ask her niece's hand on partnership. She doesn't want her to regret it afterall... and that happened to Ankh. She felt like she want to beat down that piece of **** of a hypocrite down to earth. But right now, she just can't do it.
"..Human's heart is complex," suddenly Isana whispered on rather small voice, only meaning for Ayaka to hear it. "When you love something, and that something is taken away from you, you'll feel hurt... but it hurts more when the one you love tries to get away from you instead... In brink of madness, any kind of emotion is possible... that kid, his mental is foolishly very unstable... coupled with his misunderstanding and denseness, he has knocked the demon's door."
Isana exhaled, still busy trying to absorb nutrients. She need to get to her Kodamon form at least. That way they can communicate without the need of words. They could just simply entangle their branches together and then they're able to talk by sending their thoughts afterwards. Looking at Ayaka beside her, she muttered something. "...It's inevitable that you will have to cross blades with that boy later, Ayaka. Especially... that boy... who he may think that he's stealing his beloved."
As for Coredramon, boy, how he felt awkward. Penny is cuddling on him. Does that means....? The bigger dragon gently pulled her closer, albeit he's not looking at her. A blush still apparent on his face, and actually, he enjoyed that cuddling.... wait, is he getting a girlfriend here? He can't be sure, but let's just say that it's like that for now? Although, never did he thought that he'll be on level of lovey dovey like this to Penny.
Meanwhile, Ryouta, after Mana said that and apologizes for taking advantage of his kindness just simply chuckled and stripped off his a-shirt and hands it to Coredramon, who gave him a thumb up, knowing what to do. The dragon requested Penny to took a small bottle of water from Ryouta's bag, apparently to wash the cloth.
"Don't worry about my shirt, Mana. it's all sweaty from training afterall..." he smiled gently at her. The muscular boy tried to wipe her tears, only to be ninja'd because she herself already done it. The black haired boy awaits for what she wanted to say... and needless to say, he's prepared for it. As much as he found it's ridiculous to hate her onesidedly after what he done to her (and he was angry to be honest. What's with that guy and his cowardly way of breaking things off? Plus, isn't it him first who wanted to break up?)...
Ryouta tried to hold his anger and his boiling emotion. Can't he see that she's blaming herself for all of that ****s happened to him? The black haired boy however, knows better than to berate him in front of Mana. So, without warning, he hugged her, stroking her head again slowly.
"...You blame yourself for all that is happening to him, don't you? You blame yourself for breaking off with him... Mana, I guess I can say that being guilty in this case is fine, but... honestly, overblaming yourself like this, you'll only destroy yourself... Look, I'm sorry to be cruel to that guy, but... from what I heard about him, he's actually denser than me... so the possibility of misunderstanding is there. So, Mana... if he can't see how miserable you feel when you broke with him, then... that guy isn't the guy for you... Sorry, but that's just my opinion."

Ayaka chuckled sadly at Isana's words, pulling her into an affectionate hug. For some reason, and even if the roles had reversed, she just felt as a little girl around her. A little girl that just idolized her mother and was truly happy for them to be reunited. "I know that, okaa-sama. I think that it was just the spur of the moment; while I always try to rationalize everything, while I am near you, for some reason that notion falls apart like a castle of playing cards. Yet, it feels good, you know; I guess that now I get why Miss Mana is so infantile when she's around the ones she loves.
I feel more connected to her than ever before, and that is thanks to you, okaa-sama. So... anything else I want to say to you?" She looked to be deep in thought, thinking about anything and everthing that had happened before their meeting. "Well, I could tell you Charles and Miss Mana's story, but I guess that you have heard bits of it while you were inside your egg and... this is not the time or the place to tell such a dire tale. At least, I guess we both learned something from him; Miss Mana learned that even if she tries, some things just cannot be changed, and I learnt that even despite my best efforts, I am not infallible. Even if I try my best to protect her, sometimes Mana ended up protecting me, but that is alright. For so long, I have seen myself as some kind of guardian to her, but in reality, we are just equals."
She nodded at her exaplanation. She knew that feeling because she had already experimented it. The pain of separating from a loved one wasn't something alien to her, yet, she couldn't understand. She knew the gist of how Mana felt, because her very nature was to blame herself for anything wrong that happened around her, but now, she had seen someone who actually thought that when he broke up with her first, and that was just ludicrous. Maybe she was biased, but she KNEW that Mana didn't deserve that. Not her, from all the people.
"I guess that Everyone has their flaws, do not they?" She mused grimly. "I am afraid of the future, okaa-sama. I hate fighting, but I have done it for so long that I now seems like a second nature to me. Yet...
I know that Charles will come back; he had promised to be away from Mana, but he had also promised to love her unconditionally. Being honest, I am somewhat glad that that noxious relationship finally ended, even if it costed her to clash with other people along the way. You know, I just do not get why certain people just have a knack to to not only turn down her offers of friendship, but to make her feel terrible too, but I digress. If you are interested, we should talk about this out of earshot and in a calmer situation."
Penny, on her side, was having her very own happy moment. She was way smaller than the blue dragon, but he felt how he gingerly pulled her a little closer. She smiled at his blush, thinking that he'd probably be thinking about all this and maybe that was the reason why he hasn't responded to her yet. "Well, that's a little bit better on the 'how to treat a girl' department. Guess that under all that shyness there's a gentleman? You're indeed full of surprises, Coredramon-kun."
The romantic atmosphere between the two dragons was utterly destroyed when Coredramon was handed Ryouta's dirty shirt, but Penny just chuckled at the situation. Something was something, after all. She directed herself to Ryouta's bag and retrieved the water from there. "Here." She said as she handed the bottle to him.
Mana was initially startled by the sudden hug, but received it gladly anyway. She felt so weak right now, so powerless that it was just frustrating. She couldn't help but to dwell in the past that so much damage had caused her. Tears still flowed, and her eyes were still puffy and red as she let her body be embraced by Ryouta's shirtless hug. On almost any other situation, she'd be beet red by now, but things as they were, she barely noticed her boyfriend's body.
"I m-made a promise, Ryo-kun. I-I told him that I'd stand b-by him no matter what, but I forsook him when he needed me the m-most. If I c-can't live to my promises, w-what guarantee do you have that I w-won't left you when you need me the m-most? I-I'm unrealiable and I don't deserve y-you. I don't deserve a-anybody. I-I just tried to help, but ended up making t-thing worse for e-everybody. I couldn't e-even mention him that now I was going out with y-you. He'll probably s-snap for the worse when h-he discovers that."

"Do not make fancy castles out of cards, Ayaka. If you have sand, use sand as complimenting material. If you have tree, then use tree. If you have other better ingredients, use it. What I mean is, retain some dignity even if in the end it's just stacks of cards that meant to be destroyed eventually. But I guess that's just a reason for me to say that 'I'm not used of this kind of affectionate actions'."
Isana seem 'smiled' a bit when she heard what Ayaka have to say about her relationship with Mana. "They said bird of the same feather flocks together... mother and a child would eventually separated by some wall that doesn't allow them to be closer than mother and child... friends have better standing in this, Ayaka, so I'm glad that you understood that you're not exactly her guardian, but also her friend. Also, yes, I heard everything while I'm in egg form. Of course, there are times I can't because my processing speed is a bit low back then.
Also, fight... I guess, I know you hate barbaric actions like that, but because my life itself has paved through countless of battles, fight becomes something that akin to breathing for me... You're tired because it's not your nature to battle... however, when you lives as long as me, you'll see that even breathing would seem to be tiresome and that you wanted to die so badly... I guess that's the analogy to battling. I'm not saying that I'm tired of living now, though.
...Still for a human boy to be that stupid, I thought humans also have logics. How does he use his logic? What kind of thing actually running inside his brain? I don't get it at all, it's almost like he's out of it. If he wanted to have some fight, then fight will be the thing he got... I just hope that he's not that stupid. If he promised to love her unconditionally, then all I can say is that he have to understand her choices.
Also... those who have the power to befriend would also would find enemies. It's impossible for everyone to be friend of everyone. There must be opposition, and if you ask me why peoples would reject her, the only answer is perhaps they don't see something in same light. Just like conflict, a small difference can start a spark of flame. Eventually that flame will becomes a firewall."
Back to the two dragons, after pouring the water on Ryouta's shirt and 'wash' it a bit, Coredramon quickly spits some hot vapor before slinging it on a branch. Looking at Penny, he smiled shyly. The blue dragon seem apologetic that their little romance have to be cut midway, but...
"Now, where were we?" he asked, gently stroking the female dragon's furry cheek with the sides of his claws. It's odd, but stroking her with his forelimbs doesn't makes sense. "Just for your information, I'm not too fond of romance stuffs despite thinking that two of them are cute, but... well, too much can be smoldering... but eh... if I experience it myself, then maybe... there are differences?"
And for the two loverbirds... Ryouta gave Mana a firm squeeze momentarily, pressing her closer against his body. He understands her plight, he understands what she's feeling currently, but if she keep at it, she'll only destroy herself. The black haired boy suddenly said something that could be said as... well, a bit hurtful.
"...Truth to be said, Mana... listen up... I... I don't really expect you to come when it's my direst moment. Sure, you're my girlfriend, sure that you want to help me, but... let's speak realistically for a bit. Mana, let's imagine a case where I'm in a fight with a deadly Digimon and at the same time, Yuu is admitted to the hospital... I don't know your parents, but... your family would expect you to be there, I think... do you think you can attend that at the same time? No, I don't think so...
I'm not the type that would burden you with any sort of unrealistic expectations... I'm not the type that would burden you with some sort of you must do this, you must do that either. I want you to be free spirit, Mana. I want you to fly with your own wings... and come to me when you're tired. If you think you can't fly, then I'll help you... but I don't want to make you fly too close to the sun so that it'll burn your wings.
Plus, all thing that is over is over. Past is past. So whatever it is, even you said that you doesn't deserve me, I'll chase you and tell you no matter how many times that this stupid guy still madly in love with you. I told you, right? We'll face this together and that I'll always be with you."

Ayaka smirked at Isana's words, and, in a unexpected gesture, cradled her lower body alongside Isana's. "Why would I? I am a child, after all, and as I said, I would not trade this for anything in the world, okaa-sama. Being just alongside you fills a hole that not even all the dignity in the world would. And if you are not used to this, maybe we can begin now. Expect to not to be short of affection, specially when you meet your surrogate granddaughter in person! I am sure that you have heard about Rea-chan while you where inside your egg, and I am sure that she will be really happy to meet you!"
In that position, she nodded to her words, happy that she shared her opinion about her relationship with her partner. It was weird, but it felt good to finally behave a little less than a mature lady and just like... what she truly was. She wasn't even a year old, and the memories she had of her past life were fuzzy and unclear, making her really feel as if her true age was the time that has transpired since she was born. Not even a grown up; she was just a child. A child pretending to be a responsible adult, burning what should be her childhood.
She couldn't but let out a resigned sigh at her next two arguments. Yeah, she had a nagging feeling of what it felt to live up for so long just to fight could entail, and she didn't like that feeling. She also thought about Charles, and that even made her mood even more sour. If anything, her argument made her even more angry. It was for naught at this moment, so she decided to calm herself down by exhaling and just trying to live the bliss of the moment. She wanted for this reunion to remain as a happy memory, and she was just risking that by thinking those thoughts.
Penny just smiled back at Coredramon, a little surprised at his dexterity. However, this charade became boring soon enough, and she figured that being a rookie wasn't the most comfortable thing for the blue dragon to cuddle against, so while she had a moment for herself, she simply evolved into her Ginryumon form and regarded her partner with a smile. "Well, it's fine if you don't like romantic stuff. I'm not a fan, either, but if you have a better idea, you're free to say it. I won't be asked permission all the time like Ayaka usually does, so you can be a little more laid-back."
At Ryouta's words, Mana just collapsed on a heap of tears, losing her footing due to her legs trembling. She just cried and cried without any visible hints that signaled it would stop. She tried to wipe her eyes out, but seeing that it was just useless, just cupped her face in her hands as the tears just kept going down. However, and single phrase escaped her lips, on a shaky, subdued and doubtful tone, but neither of that made them less legitimate.
"T-thank you... Ryo-kun."
