Once again, Nova found himself teaching the Rookies of the Spartan Training Ground"Alright Trainees, today Sparks will be just a fellow trainee and I'll be the one solely in charge of training you lot," Nova announced. There was some murmuring amongst the assembled Rookies. Sparks stepped forward. "Allow me to explain. I had a run in with a few Bakemon not too long ago. I took one of them on one-on-one. With the new attack I recently aquired, I should've had little trouble, but instead I found myself struggling, so we feel the need for me to train alongside you today," Sparks explained.
"Today, we'll be playing a game of capture the flag. We worked out the teams while you were eating lunch last time we were here," Nova announced. "The rules are simple. First team to claim the other's flag wins. Each team gets a 10 minute strategy session. Attached to each flag is a flare gun. We will use these to signal the game's end." he explained as he pulled the chart out of his backpack. "Any questions?" he asked. "What will we learn from this?" Veemon asked. "Teamwork and strategy as well as a variety of tactics," Nova answered.

Joshua and Tanemon were making their way through the woods when they heard what sounded like shouting, though not the kind of shouting you would hear form somebody in peril, it sounded like somebody giving orders. they both had a confused look on their face as they turned to face one another. Joshua mouthed "What is it?" and Tanemon simply shrugged, not knowing what it was. They edged closer towards the sound trying to keep quiet until eventually they could both hear and see clearly hat was going on, taking cover behind the tree the two of them decided to watch what was going on. They soon learned that this was some sort of class group. Strange to see considering Joshua's experience in the digital world so far consisted of running and hiding from Digimon while this man before him seemed to be commanding a whole class of them.
"Teamwork and strategy as well as a variety of tactics," The man then said at which point the group scattered and started to work on their plans for the game ahead. Joshua was enthralled though seemingly not as much as Tanemon. Tanemon had abandoned his cover behind the tree and was running out on to the field to get a better look at what was going on. Joshua panicked as he was still concerned about whether to not these Digimon were friend or foe. regardless he found himself out of control of his own body as he chased after Tanemon until they were both out in the open, Tanemon looking around excited and curious, Joshua slightly concerned and overcautious.

Sparks turned around before Tanemon had stepped out of the open. Following his gaze, Nova turned around. He watched the Tanemon come out into the open as he was soon followed by a boy about the same age as he was. "Ah great, another new kid," Nova muttered irritably as he remembered the last time he saw newcomers in the Digital World. "At least he didn't have a run-in with anyone like that Bearmon Tamer a while back," Sparks pointed out. Nova nodded in agreement. He held his hand out to Sparks. "May the best team win," he said. "Ditto," Sparks agreed as he shook Nova's hand. The duo then split up and joined their respective teams.
Nova saw his team was currently debating on which way was the best way to get the other team's flag. "Everyone, quiet down!" he ordered. "Alright, if I know Sparks, he'll most likely be transporting the red flag. As tough as he is, we need to concentrate most of our force on him. With him being resistant to fire and needing electricity, Lucemon and Gotsumon should go after him," he explained. "Who else here does not specialize in these two elements?" he asked his team. "I do have an electric attack, but I also have a water attack," Betamon told him. "Perfect. Lucemon will travel by air while carrying Betamon to make up for her limited mobility on land," Nova stated.
Meanwhile Sparks was trying to get his group to listen. Having enough, he cast a bolt in the center of the circle his team formed. It wasn't much, but it got their attention nonetheless. "Alright, I'm going to take the flag, and I'm going to be moving the whole time. I've got the most versatility and experience, so I should be able to handle what Nova sends my way. Now we just have make our plan of attack," he told them. "I think we should break into groups to defeat our opponent," Psychemon suggested. "Cover a wide area to find the Blue Flag and hunt down the opposition. I like it," Sparks stated.

The man seemed to take no note of Josh and simply concentrated on the task at hand. Josh wanted to leave the area and continue exploring the area but Tanemon seemed enthralled at what was going on. Josh picked up the Tanemon and started to get out of the way. "Can we stay and watch?" Tanemon then said trying to peek over Josh's shoudler. Josh the stopped and turned to face the field looking at the two teams preparing for whatever was ahead. "Can we" Tanemon asked again with a childlike curiosity in his voice. Reluctantly Josh made his way over to a nearby tree and sat himself down with Tanemon in his lap. Maybe watching these teams would help Josh and Tanemon when another fight came along.

"Cutemon will break away from everyone else and seek out injured teammates while doing her best to remain hidden," Nova told them. "Meanwhile, Hackmon, White Lopmon and I can seek out the flag in case Sparky doesn't have it," Flamemon suggested. "That works. Kunemon, Impmon, and I will guard the flag and set traps. We'll position our flag somewhere in the woods," Nova finished. He held up his Fusion Loader. "Reload!" the five Kyupimons exited Nova's Fusion Loader. "You five go make sure that our guests don't get caught in the crossfire, and heal them if they do. Everyone else, let's go." he told them.
While the Kyupimons went to greet the Tanemon and his Tamer, Nova and the others went into the woods to set up their starting position.
Meanwhile... "Lunamon will try to stay hidden while looking for teammates to heal," Sparks stated. "I will go with Muchomon and Gabumon, if that is okay," Kokuwamon stated. Muchomon and Gabumon nodded in agreement. "In that case, Lalamon will go with Penguinmon and Agumon, and Palmon will go with Psychemon and Veemon," Sparks decided. It was a simple plan, but it had a good chance of success. Without further planning, they headed toward their starting point.

As Tanemon and Josh sat watching the groups prepare the boy, who looked about Joshua's age held up a digivice of his own, though it looked very different from Joshua's and it also had different capabilities as a small group of digimon then came from the device. The creatures were small and cute things, 5 of them in total. they made their way over to Josh and Tanemon with smiles on their faces. As they arrived they introduced themselves as Kyupimon. "Hi" Josh said tentatively, he was cautious as his only experience with digimon, other than Tanemon, thus far had been less than fortunate. Tanemon however greeted the Kyupimon with a happy and excited smile.
"Hi There, I'm Tanemon, this is Josh" Tanemon said loudly causing Josh to respond with a slight nervous wave to the Kyupimon. The digimon then explained that the group were playing capture the flag, something that peaked Josh's interest, they also said that they had come over to protect the to novices from any harm, this peaked Tanemon's interest. The group then watched in anticipation for the games to begin. This day was already so much better than Joshua's first, for one nobody had tried to kill him yet, things could only go well today.

"I'm Angie and these are siblings," Angie introduced herself. "What's up? I'm Pit," Pit greeted. "Hey, I'm Icarus," Icarus greeted. "Greetings, I'm Lucy," Lucy greeted. Hope, on the other hand, was hiding behind Icarus. "You'll have to excuse Hope. She can be a little shy sometimes," Angie told them.
The Blue Team was just arrived at their starting point. "How do we know when to start?" Impmon asked. All set. Roger that. A bolt of lightning shot up into the sky in the distance. "That's the starting signal. Everyone move out! Impmon and Kunemon, you know what to do," Nova told everyone.
Psychemon, Veemon, and Palmon were already on the move. "This should be a piece of cake, all things considered," Veemon stated. "Keep quiet. We want to ambush our opponents, not the other way around," Palmon reminded in a whisper. "Right, sorry," Veemon whispered back. "Oof!" Psychemon stopped dead in her tracks, bringing the others to a stop as well. "Are you alright?" "Yeah, I'm fine." The trio gave each other a nod as if conveying a silent message.
"Vee Headbutt!" Hackmon found himself sent flying into as tree by Veemon's headbutt, which came seemingly out of nowhere. "Flame Toss!" Flamemon, who had tripped over a tree root (embarrassing, right?) flung a fireball at Veemon. Veemon, not paying attention, found himself hit in the back.
