Her planned worked. The fake version of her had slipped on the ice and rolled down the hill. Not as far as she had hoped, but it was enough for her to work with.
It didn't seem the fake was done either though as it spoke something incomprehensible. Quickly remembering what happened the last time it did that, Crystal quickly dodged out of the way. The ears flying right past her as she did so. When she dodged though, she found her self slipping on piece of ice onto a patch of grass, somehow maintaining her footing when she did. With CD Crystal now below here, and the Deathmon about, she wanted to try something out.
"Geez. Your aiming with those ears are completely horrible. I bet I could just stand here and you would still miss." She taunted with a smile on her face. A plan brewing deep inside her mind.

The ears missed again, reattaching themselves onto CD Crystal. Crystal then began to taunt the fake, saying that she couldn't hit her even when she was being still.
Sanoske considered one of 2 plans she might be doing. One involved her using the Lopmon's ears to strike at his Deathmon facade. This wouldn't be too bad, if Crys did dodge the attack. Sanoske had control over CD Crys so it won't be too hard to simply not have the ear hit him.
The plan he was worried about was if she suspected that he was still Sanoske, and she would risk taking a hit to prove it. He didn't want to hurt her, but he couldn't break the illusion. He considered grabbing her but that might also prove her point.
"Oh, you think? Well, I think targets who stand still are rather easy to hit, hahaha."
Whatever strikes she received, Sanoske would allow her to repay twofold. CD Crystal fired off both of her ears, now flying straight, and heading directly to her.

Crystal's grin grew wider. "And I find those who don't think are rather easy to predict." She responded as she dodged out of the ears way. No one ever said she would actually stand still. Why would she? That seemed just silly.
She then quickly took advantage of the distraction she had made by chasing after the ears. "Blazing Ice" She called out as she sent several icy shots in "Deathmon's" direction. He was controlling the fake Crystal after all. Take him out, and she wins.

The ears flew towards the notDeathmon and... stopped . Said ears were used to block the Blazing ice. This was also straining for Sanoske, but he was greatly relieved that she didn't get hit.
"Speaking of easy to predict, heh heh... remember, I control that poorly drawn copy of you. I control every bit of 'her', even these ears. But I will admit... that was smart. No wonder why that Gazimon likes you so much, heh heh. But, not quite good enough."
CD Crystal began charging up some sort of attack, some stronger version of 'Ice Blazing' when several missiles struck it. These missiles would be familiar to Crystal, and then out came a very battered (fake) Sanoske to save the day.
"Oh, you're back? Well then... I guess you saved me the trouble of going back and finishing the job, eh?"
^I... I will not let you kill her!^

Crystal attack was blocked by CD Crystal's ears. Yet there was not a hint of surprise on her face. It was just as she had expected.
"Yeah. I was fully aware of that. To be honest, it was more of a test then anything else. One that worked exactly as I planned." She told "Deathmon" nonchalantly. She knew something was up, and this more or less confirmed her suspicions.
Crystal then glanced behind her to see her copy had began charging up some attack. One that failed to go off thanks to some hidden missiles that appeared on the scene. An attack that was soon followed by Sanoske making appearance.
"Hey Sanoske. Nice to see your okay. Keep that fake off my back. I'll take care of the big guy." She told him before returning her attention to Deathmon, "Blazing Ice." She then said as she began strafing around Deathmon, firing a continuous volley of Blazing Ice on him while she did so.

Sanoske's body began to tremble, but he wouldn't allow himself to falter. Still, the strain of having 3 separate solid illusions was taking its toll. But he dedicated himself to having this go as long as he could... without killing himself of course. Not that he could, he'd go unconscious before he could illusion himself to death.
Crystal continued to fight the Deathmon as she let fake Sanoske continue to fight CD Crystal. Fake Sanoske grabbed CD, and growled out to her. ^Be careful, you can not beat him!^
"He speaks the truth! I took him down easily, what makes you think you stand a chance!" He continued to use the ears as a shield, and to make up for the stress, allowed CD Crystal to be subdued by Fake Sanoske (although she looked like she was still struggling). The Deathmon fired a beam (although it was really another solid illusion coupled with his Solid Flash attack) at Crystals feet to knock her down the hill.
"Well, I think this about wraps up this little test. But I think I'll have to kill you two now, haha hahahahaha!!!"

"It does look that way doesn't it." Crystal admitted as she saw the beam "Deathmon" fired. She quickly moved out of the attacks way, having gotten used to the steep battle field she was on. As she did so, the confident grin on her face grew even wider as she noticed how big that beam truly was.
"Yet I have a good reason to believe that this match won't end the same way you say it will." She then ran straight towards Deathmon. Some plan obviously brewing in her head as she did so.

She was running towards him. And that grin... that confidence... was Sanoske's acting that transparent? He continued with the facade, charging up 2 "energy blasts" to fire at her.
And then it felt like his concentration suddenly broke.
The Deathmon and the others faded quickly, and Sanoske fell on the ground. It was only now he noticed how badly his body was trembling. His eyes were a very dull red, almost grey. Safe to say, he was having a light seizure, but not so bad he was rendered completely unable to move his.
He tried to calm himself down, keeping his body from twitching so much. This was embarrassing for him...
^You... you already knew, didn't you?
Haha... you are... to smart... for me. ^

"Sanoske?!" She said as she saw the illusions fade to reveal Sanoske collapsing. He must have completely overdid it with all the illusions he made.
Crystal wasted no time running to his side. Trying to think of what she could do to help him. She end up just hugging him, hopping that her presence would help stop his seizures.
"I'm not to smart for you Sanoske. I'm not to smart for you." Crystal told him. Feeling completely guilty about causing Sanoske to over do it.

^Crystal... do not worry... I just overworked... myself.^
He closed his eyes and, even if he didn't actually need to breathe, he did so rhythmically. Thanks to this and Crystal being around, in a few minutes his shaking was mostly eliminated. At the very least, this wasn't the worst seizure he's had.
^See... I am just tired... tried to give you a challenge and overworked myself in the process. I just... wanted you determined. But you're a smart girl, haha... figures you would catch on.
Even though I am tired... I do want to give you your prize. You got your hug in, fair and square.^
Weakly, the Gazimon moved an arm towards Crystal, with data forming around his hand. He should probably wait before doing this, he thought, but he wanted to do this now, and not make her wait.
^I can not join you in the Hylden area, but some of my data may suffice. Hopefully the power you will gain will be helpful.^

"Sanoske?" She said with worry in her voice, "Perhaps we should wait for you to rest for now. No need for you to push yourself like this after I already pushed you to your limit. We can just rest like this first, then you can give me my prize, okay."
Crystal was still hugging him as she laid down next to him. It made her glad that his shaking has finally ended, yet she knew full well that he was still exhausted. It would be selfish of her to have him give her his data when he isn't 100%. Once he was though, she would gladly except his gift.

^Crystal...alright.^
The data went back into Sanoske before he moved his arm back.
^Yes... rest like this... that sounds like a... good idea.^
And, for the time being, that was it. He was unconscious, with his still dull red eyes visible under half closed eyelids, and his body completely still. But Sanoske looked content as he slept.
It would be a couple hours before he woke up, but at least he wasn't injured. He wasn't 100%, but as time passed she could see color return to his eyes.

She smiled as he decided to rest. It was the exact same advice he gave her at the beginning of this puzzle, and she's happy that he took to it more then she did. It really has been a pretty exhaustive day so far. Perhaps it was best that they take a break for the rest.
Still something worried her in the back of her mind. Despite everything that has happened so far today, she still hasn't managed to digivolve. Was she just incapable of it? Her true form truly being that monster that she feared. It was the same questions that plagued her mind not to long ago.
Yet one look at Sanoske's content face and the questions stop. He looked so completely carefree. She could probably learn a thing or two from him. Crystal gave a content sigh as she laid on him and watched the clouds. Perhaps it was best for her to slow things down for a while.
When Sanoske woke up, he would find Crystal sleeping contently on top of him. It must have not been easy trying to stay awake while lying on her favorite bed half-exhausted. Feeling him begin to stir though would cause her to begin to wake up herself though. Letting out a small yawn in the process.

Upon waking up, he blinked a few times, taking a moment to recollect everything that happened up to when he went to sleep. He felt a bit weary still, but otherwise fine as long as he took it easy for the rest of the day.
There was still the matter of Crystal's prize, and upon moving a bit, he felt the Lopmon up on his back. Judging from the yawn, he had woke her up as well. He stood on all fours so Crystal could remain on his back.
^There you are... glad to see you are rested too, honey.^

Crystal slowly began to rouse as Sanoske moved. Her eyes opening to reveal the sunlight above her. "Sanoske?" She asked with a curious voice as memories of the events from before began to return to her.
She shot up as she fully realized that she just fell asleep and she looked over at Sanoske. "Nice to see your rested to Sanoske." She said as she gave him a hug. It was nice to know that their little battle hadn't ended up causing Sanoske any permanent problems.
Pure sighed as he looked up to the sky. "It's just about lunch time. Perhaps I should go look for them." He wondered as he continued on with his business.
