"Well in that case." Jimmy pulled out his D-tector ready to Spirit Evolve. Before he could however, a volley of rockets began heading in their direction. He then quickly took note of the plasma blast that was heading towards, and that Sparks didn't seem to be moving at all. Was he caught in some sort of daze?
Without even thinking, Jimmy began running towards Sparks as fast as he could, "Sparks! Snap out of it!" He called out to Sparks, hoping to be able to get their in time to push the apparently dazed digimon out of the way. They can't risk losing one of their most powerful fighters already.

At the last possible second, Sparks and Nova began moving in perfect unison. Both leaned back, dropping to the ground. Then, electricity condensed around Sparkmon's right foot as he, along with Nova shot their right feet up as if they were performing a circle throw. Sparkmon's came crashing into the plasma blast and sent it skyward. Mailbirdramon fired again. As it came toward Sparks, both he and Nova quickly rolled to their left and got their feet. As they spun around, electricity condensed in Sparkmon's hands, forming a net, which he used to catch the plasma blast.
They continued their rotation until they were almost turned back toward Mailbirdramon, at which point, Sparks let go, using the centripetal force to send Mailbirdramon's attack back at it. Unfortunately Mailbirdramon swerved to the side, and it missed. "That felt good. Too bad we're not going to get very far like this," Nova and Sparks said. The Kyupimons hovered behind Nova, their tiny wings aflutter, ready to intervene if need be.
Meanwhile, Gladimon managed to knock a Guardromon on to one of its knees. Without warning, it fired its ironically named Warning Laser from its eyes at Gladimon from near point blank range. As for the other, seeing him run over to Sparks, it fired two more of its rockets into his path. "Moon Shooter!" Spike shot both rockets out of the air, causing them to explode uselessly into the ground. He then flew at the offender. "Spiking Strike!" and drove his wrist spike only for it to bounce off, barely leaving a scratch on its thick armor.

Gladimon was naturally hit point blank. Even with its armor, it grunted in pain, a loud clanging noise coming from inside. "Kotemon!" Duffer shouted, running into the fray, trying to gather the larger digimon's attention. "Hey, you! Metal Heads! How about you try hitting a moving target?"
"Duffer no, these guys ain't like the others we fought, they'll kill you!" Gladimon tried getting to his feet, but Duffer had already ran away from his damaged partner, whooping and hollering in an attempt to start their tag team strategy. If the guardromon fell for the ruse, Gladimon would preform his flaming kote in an attempt to headbutt one of them, to keep Duffer out of harm's way. If the guardromon continued focusing on Gladimon, Duffer would run up behind one of them and hit them with his bat, to draw attention. How much damage it would do, or if they noticed it at all though...?

"Geez." Jimmy exclaimed as he watched Sparks. He then turned to see that Nova was moving in the exact same. "That is definitely one strong bond they have their. They are moving in complete sync. I didn't even think that something like this was possible."
Jimmy then turned his attention the battle at hand. Gladimon and Duffer look like they could be in trouble. "Hey you two. I'm just going to leave Mailbirdramon to you. Don't end up dying on me." He told Nova and Sparks before running off.
With D-tector in hand, he decided it was time to fight as well. He gave the D-tector a small toss in his right hand as he clutched his left in a tight fist. He then skillfully caught the device right as he opened his left hand to reveal a single halo of data surrounding it. Without skipping a beat, he took the scanner part of the D-tector and ran it across the data, giving the command, "Execute. Spirit Evolution."
His whole body was then cocooned in data as it began to change to a different form. Armor surrounded his limbs as the power that he has gotten to familiarize himself with filled his body. The transformation, something that lasted a second at most, then ended as the data disappeared to reveal Jimmy's new form. "Lobomon!" He called out.
Jimmy then quickly began running straight towards the small group of Guardromon with both blades drawn. "Time to end this. Lobo Kendo!" He then called out as he spun around with his blades, slashing at the two Guardromon that Gladimon wasn't focusing on.
Shin, meanwhile, wasn't just be an onlooker. With quick steps, he slid down a hill of sand as he moved over to where Duffer was at. Then, if able, he would grab a hold of the teen and pull him away from the fight as quickly as possible. "Your liable to get yourself killed if you do something so stupid." He would berate the kid as he ran.

The first Guardromon ignored Duffer’s futile swings as his bat bounced off its thick armor. Just as it was about to strike Gladimon again, the Kyupimons encircled him. "Angel Shield!" A barrier erupted, causing the Guardromon to stumble back a little, but it quickly recovered and began punching the barrier.
Spike came in with a round kick to the other Guardromon’s side. He followed up with an elbow to its midsection and a reverse punch to its head, but was rewarded only a few dents for his efforts. He shook the soreness from the last hand used. Just as the Guardromon was about to counterattack, Jimmy came in with his swords, striking it in the back, leaving a noticeable cut in its armor. It didn't go all the way through, but it was rather deep into its armor. It turned and fired its Warning Laser at Jimmy.
Robin, I've got an idea. Those Guardromon have no will of their own. Think you can hijack one? Nova asked. Too easy. Sparks, I'll be right back, Robin replied. A black cloud could be seen leaving Sparkmon's body before attacking the Guardromon preoccupied with the Kyupimons and Gladimon.Th Guardromon suddenly stiffened as Robin entered its body. "I know it felt strange being Sparky's body, but it feels flat out cramped in this Guardromon," Robin complained in English.
"Let's see how they handle being fired upon by their own!" he said as he turned toward the other Guardromon. "Grenade Destroyer!" Robin fired two missiles at the Guardromon. Their whistles would warn the trio of their approach.
Meanwhile Nova and Sparks immediately fell out of sync, their eyes returning to normal. Sparks then shot into the air like a rocket, much to Nova's surprise. At first, the General thought Sparks was actually flying, but quickly realized this was not the case as small flashes of electricity could be seen at the bottom of his feet. Sparks got this idea from Nova while they were in full sync. Rather than flying, he was actually air jumping. Taken by surprise, Mailbirdramon found itself punched in the jaw. "Don't blink, or you'll miss the part where I take you down," he warned.

Jimmy's blades scored a hit, but he couldn't celebrate yet. The attack itself was not as good as it could have been. It also didn't help that the Guardromon was now completely focused on him. Though perhaps that was for the best.
The Lobomon quickly ducked under the Warning Laser. Then without a second delay slashing both his Licht Schwert in a scissor like fashion at Guardromon's waist. Aiming to cut the robotic digimon in half.
That was the split second when Jimmy heard the whistles of the missile over the sounds of battle. With no time to avoid them, he pressed his attack, taking the missile attack in the process. He was fairly angry about the unannounced (to him) friendly fire, but tried to focus every ounce of that anger into his attack. Hopefully the missiles would stun the Guardromon long enough for his attack to hit.

Post by Takara Kureha on Dec 18, 2015 0:01:42 GMT
The Shibuya River was a veritable pile of filth. Trash so think, that the river was no longer a river. For a 'treasure hunter' like Takara Kureha, it was a second home. Buried, beneath several feet of plastic bags, rotting food, old cardboard boxes, and a great many cans and bottles, there was always something to be found. Takara never settled for collecting the redeemable cans and bottles, not anymore. He had bigger fish to fry. Fish that, cleaned up a bit, could turn a pretty penny with the right people.
Something shiny gleamed in the sun. How odd. Shiny thing like that were a rarity, among all this filth. Grinning, Takara scrambled over and dug whatever the thing was out of the trash. Whatever it was, it was rectangular, and definitely mechanical. He smiled. Devices like this were invariably profitable. He wiped off the dirt to get a better look. Some old MP3 player, perhaps? It had a scroll wheel like they had, underneath a screen that was smaller than the wheel. It was bulky for an MP3 player, though, even an old one. He couldn't wait to see what was going on inside.
As he was about to stash the device in the pouch he kept things like this in, the screen lit up fiercely. Temporarily blinded, he took a step back, and slipped on the unstable trash heap. He fell backwards, expecting to tumble down the hill of bags and bottles.
But he didn't.
As he fell, the world started to change. The sky seemed to be disapearring, swallowed by a black expanse filled with ones and zeroes. Zeroes and ones? That somehow seemed familiar, but he didn't have time to place it before landing with a solid THUNK... On concrete? Shaking the pain away, he pulled himself up and stared at the strange place he found himself in.
Creatures... Monsters roamed everywhere, talking to each other, buying from each other, even a few small ones playing with each other. There was even a human or two, mixed in. A wild grin spread over his face. "Whoa... Where am I?" This... Was so cool! A voice behind him blared, and he whirled around. "Ho ho ho, human! Sounds like this is your first visit to Terminus City!" He whirled around and found himself face to face with... "A talking train! Whoa! This place is great!"
"Typical human. The name's Trailmon. Welcome to the Digital World." The train seemed irritated at being called that. Takara was too excited to notice. What the heck was a Digital World? "I have a question " He told the train, who laughed, obviously expecting it. "Ask away, human." "This digital world... Is there, by any chance, treasure here?" At this, Trailmon laughed even harder. "Seriously? Not, 'What is this place,' not, 'How can I go home,' not, 'Am I dreaming, but 'Is there treasure!? You're a strange one, human... And I can't say I hate that. You've come to the right Trailmon, my friend" He dropped his voice to a conspiratorial whisper.
"Oh yes, there's treasure. Mystery and adventure, too. Why, just today I heard a juicy rumor, that the machine army's been mobilizing, towards the Folder Desert. Who knows what they want, but those guys don't do anything for no reason. Might be worth checking out, I say." It may be his imagination, but was the train looking at him... Expectantly? But... Machine army, huh? Now that would be a sight!? He wasn't quite sure what it meant, but the picture the phrase drew for him was too interesting to pass up. "How does one get to this, Folder Desert?"
"Hop aboard, human. You've just bought yourself a ticket to the depths of the Digital World!" It didn't sound like a request. Takara jumped in the door which opened in front of him without a second thought or a look back. Oh, how exciting this day was shaping up to be! "Say, Trailmon, how'd you hear about this? Seems to me, they'd keep that kind of stuff under wraps." Not that he really cared. It just seemed like he should ask. The train's response began with a booming laugh. "Oh, you won't be getting me to reveal my sources so easily, boy! No, they will remain as anonymous as you are!" The train laughed again.
It took him a moment to understand what the Trailmon was getting at. "Hah! The name's Takara Kureha, Trailmon. You'd better remember that!" The Trailmon laughed, and began to pull out of the station. "Takara Kureha, huh? Oh, I certainly will remember that one. So tell me, what life brings you here?" And from that, the rest of the ride was spent with Takara telling Trailmon his life story, and Trailmon teaching him about the Digital World. If Takara embellished parts, well, it wasn't like Trailmon would ever know.
"This is as far as I bring you, Takara Kureha." The Trailmon had stopped in the middle of the desert. Takara didn't even remember the train leaving its rail. "Then sayonara, and bon voyage, Trailmon! It's time for me to get to work!" The self styled treasure hunter hopped off the train. Oh, what fun this was! Now, to find that 'machine army' Trailmon had mentioned. It wasn't hard to find a likely spot. Explosions and lights played across the desert sand. Something was going down over there. Curious, he ran over to check it out.
Oh, and what a thing he had found! All around, robots were firing missiles and lasers. In the air, there was a bird being attacked by something else? He crept closer to get a better look. This was interesting! He was so fascinated by the battle, that by the time he realized that the missiles launched by one of the seemingly mass-produced robots were heading for him! He wasn't all too concerned, but he still threw his eyes around for something to use as a shield. Aha! There, in the wreckage of one of those robots, there was something that seemed nice and shieldlike! He wrenched it free, and thrust it towards the incoming projectiles.
"Wah! Augh!" Hagurumon shrieked as it found itself grabbed, and struck by the full force of the missile. Both it and the human holding it were blasted backwards. Wait, was the human... Enjoying this! it seemed to be, as its laughter cackled quite madly, despite having just been hit by a missile.

(( tim f you have trouble, I suggest switching the skin over to v2.1. It's my failed attempt at making bokeh light darker. It'll at least make it easier for Pit's Text. He's only got one line anyway, so I wouldn't worry.)) Spike took to the air in time to avoid the explosion, but Jimmy didn't seem as lucky. The Guardromon was caught off guard and ended up taking it head on before it could make any sort of dodge. This opening was quickly punished as Jimmy sliced it clean in half, causing the data to return to wherever it belonged. Nova took notice of the bystander that had just arrived as one of the rockets missed came toward him. "Dangit, Robin, be more careful!" Nova chided, before running over toward the newcomer. "You try working with a body you're not used to!" Robin retorted before coming out of the Guardromon, which then slumped having been deactivated, and quickly entering Pit's body as he was the closest Digimon aside from Gladimon. "Robin disabled the Guardromon he possessed!" Pit shouted. All that remained was the Mailbirdramon who was preoccupied with trying to avoid Sparkmon's high speed attacks. It seemed like to Spike that he might be capable of going faster, but was going at a pace that he could actually keep up with. Spike however kept a safe distance to avoid getting hit by any stray attacks. Sparky's aerial movements were erratic to keep Mailbirdramon guessing, but so far he was only managing to dent the metal bird's armor. Sparkmon's remaining electricity: 25%

He did it. He managed to cleave the Guardromon in two. It also appeared that the other one that shot him was down to if Pit was to be believed. That meant that they only had Mailbirdramon left to face.
Jimmy stumbled a bit as he tried to keep his footing. Those missiles did quite a number on him. They would of probably torn him to shreds if he wasn't in his spirit form right now. Yet he couldn't focus on his pain right now.
He looked up to see the dog fight between Sparks and Mailbirdramon going on. He aimed his wrist blaster up at them, yet with how they were moving, he couldn't get a clear shot. The last thing he wanted to do was end up shooting Sparks out of the sky by mistake. He wasn't even sure if his Howling Laser had enough range to hit either of him.
"Plan B then" Jimmy decided as he focused. "Lobomon Slide Evolve into..." His form was enveloped by data for only a split second before a new formed appeared, "Bucchiemon!"
The newly evolved Bucchiemon then jumped into the skies, aiming a finger at Mailbirdramon. "Talon Arrow." He then called out as he began firing arrow-like beams at Mailbirdramon. Sure they might not do much damage to him, but hopefully they'll add another distraction for the bird to watch out for.

Takara cackled madly with laughter, despite his fingertips being singed form the explosion. "Ha! This place is crazy! I love it!" Robots, missiles, talking trains and talking shields! What the heck!? To think, all this time he'd been stuck in the human world, and all this was right here! It was everything he'd wanted all his life, and more. His shield twisted in his grip, trying to break free. What the heck. What a terrible shield.
Hagurumon wasn't sure what was happening. On second, he'd been fighting the humans in the desert, the next, he'd been plucked from the Guardromon it'd been inside, and was struck by a missile! Whatever was holding it, it couldn't see. The grip was facing him the opposite way. The gear shaped Digimon coughed, clearing away the soot from its lungs. "Are you mad!?"
Takara finally took the time to check out his shield. No wonder it made a terrible shield! It was a gear! A talking gear! He wondered what kind of machine used this kind of gear. He decided to hold onto it for now. If he didn't find the machine, he'd build one himself! The fact that he was not exactly a skilled mechanic did not deter him from this. Oh, hey! There was a human heading his way! Keeping a firm grip on the struggling gear in one hand, he called over, "Heya!" while waving with the other.

As Jimmy's Talon Arrow hit, Sparks allowed himself to fall. Thinking he was out of electricity, the Kyupimons came to Sparkmon's aid and caught him in mid air. "Plasma Cannon!" Mailbirdramon fired a plasma blast at Jimmy, but it was only a distraction. It then flew over Sparks. "Night Flare!" Mail Birdramon fired the cannon in its chest. "Oh crud!" Sparks exclaimed. He preformed an air jump using some of his electricity. While he avoided the initial blast, he and the Kyupimons were knocked out of the air by the following explosion.
"Moon Shooter!" Spike began to fire blasts from his wrist spikes in quick succession, alternating wrists. Unfortunately, the bulk of them seemed to miss with Mail Birdramon's aerial maneuvers. At least Spike managed a few hits.
"Hey, I saw the stray rocket come this direction. Are you alright?" Nova asked the newcomer. Hey Nova, would you mine fusing us into Angelo Sparkmon? Sparks asked. Nova turned to see Sparks and the Kyupimons crash land nearby. Silently, he raised his Xros Loader. He turned the dial and presse the button in center of it. In a flash of light, the six Digimon merged to form the Champion level Xros.
"Plasma Cannon!" Mailbirdramon shot Spike with a plasma blast. Suddenly, before Spike could launch a counter attack, Mailbirdramon found itself knocked out of the sky by a Guardromon as that was hurled at it. Spike looked in the direction it was hurled in to see Sparks in his Level 1 Xros. The two mechanical Digimon crash landed into the sand below. Sparks landed in front of Mailbirdramon. "Since you're sentient, I suggest you surrender," Sparks told it.

Jimmy dodged around the Plasma Cannon shot as he tried to close the distance between him and MailBirdramon. The fight seem to went on a little longer as Sparks began to fall and Spike took his place. Jimmy didn't like the looks of things as he pressed forward, just trying to be of some use. Then, without much warning, the other Guardromon was hurled at Mailbirdramon, knocking both from the sky.
"Well that was easier then I thought it would be." Jimmy thought out loud as he just floated there. It appeared that they have managed to more or less achieve victory. Which was good seeing how Jimmy was beginning to feel his energy beginning to wane.
He stayed right above the Mailbirdramon just in case the Mailbirdramon tried something. He had his doubts that the bird would surrender just like, and may end up having something up his sleeves.

"Ha ha! I'm fine, I'm fin!e" The boy waved of the concern of the other human, still laughing. Hey, that guy had a device like he'd picked up before coming! What was he doing with it? Whatever it was, it had caused those Digimon to fuse! How cool! How did it work!? Could he do that!? What a great place he'd found himself in!
He bounded up the dune to be near this other human. "So hey, who're you? I'm Takara, Takara Kureha! How'd you do that! How does this work? he asked excitedly, pulling forth the device that was so similar to the one the other person held. In his grip, the gear struggled again. "Unhand me, human!" but to no avail. Takara would not release his prize so easily.

Huh, a sentient Hagurumon. That's different, Nova noted. From the looks of it, Takara was brand new, and we know just how much Nova loves new people. "I'm Nova Ozuka. As for how I did that, the dial with the button in the center of it on the Xros Loader is used to combine Digimon, but of course you can only do so with your own Digimon," Nova explained. "There's plenty of other features too. In fact, there's probably still some I don't know about yet either," he pointed out.
"You mentioned you didn't come for Loader Leomon and that you came here on your own. Why was that?" Sparks questioned, noting that Mail Birdramon was looking at him, but made no motion to get to its feet. "It's simple really. I wanted to see if you were as strong as I heard you were," Mail Birdramon replied. "Congrats, you've seen a glimpse of what my team and I are capable of," Sparks replied dryly. "Now what made you feel the need to challenge us?" he asked. A metallic chuckle escaped the metal bird Digimon's throat. "Isn't it obvious? I wanted to see if you were strong enough to have me. Now I'm certain you will be the victors of the war that's coming," it explained.
Hey Nova, this one wants to join us. What do you say? Sparks asked. That's a switch. I say keep our friends close and our enemies closer, Nova replied.

Jimmy watched from up high as MailBirdramon claimed he was here to see who would win this war and stated that he wanted to join Nova's team. The spirit wielder wasn't quite sure what to think about this. There was a chance that MailBirdramon could be lying and would betray them all. On the other hand though, they would gain a powerful ally if he was telling the truth. Was the risk worth the reward? The choice was ultimately up to Nova to decide.
Speaking of whom, where did Nova go?
Jimmy noticed that Nova wasn't with the rest of the group. So he quickly began scanning the area to see where the boy could have gone to see that he was with another kid and a Hagurumon. When did those two show up? Were they drawn here by the fighting that was going on?
The Bucchiemon lowered where Nova and Takara was at. "So what do you think Nova? Do you think it safe to keep him in our company?" Jimmy asked motioning towards MailBirdramon, "And who's the new kid? Another friend of yours?"
