Personality: Hideaki is a rather mild-mannered, polite young man. He was always raised to maintain professionalism as much as he possibly can, no matter what the circumstances. As such, he always tries to keep a level head, no matter how dire the situation might be. Of course, if things don't go as planned, he tends to start losing his cool and goes into a slightly panicked state. When he starts letting his panic get the better of him, he can often start making simple mistakes or jumping to conclusions while making judgments.
Friends or foes, intimidation or encouragement; he commonly tries to ignore all outside influences when it comes to making decisions. He always tries to follow his own opinion through as much as he can, to the point where he can be somewhat stubborn about it (partly due to his own pride in his own reasoning skills). But he is not completely opposed to other ideas as well. After all, his parents had always tried to teach him to be flexible; it comes in handy for various aspects of life. All of this also sometimes causes others to view him as somewhat apathetic or standoffish at times. Although in truth, he is merely trying to find the best solution to find the best possible outcome for the most people. Sometimes, though, he will show a compassionate side and take pity on somebody who has something particularly rough; especially friends.
Having been raised by lawyers, he does have a strong sense of justice. He will always do whatever he can to resolve things and set them right. However, he will be against anything he deems to be wrong or evil. At the same time, though, he does not allow what others say influence his decision. He does not like preconceived notions such as "good" or "evil." He has decided to look at each moral dilemma in a vacuum to determine what result he would like to see. He is also the type not to merely adhere to any specific options laid out before him (although he is not opposed to them and will choose one if he deems it appropriate). Rather, he tries to use his logical reasoning skills to try to come up with the best possible solution that he can come up with. Finding the correct path is often a difficult process for him, but once he sets his mind on it, he will be determined to see it through if it's within the realm of possibility.
Appearance:
Hide would normally not stand out much in your usual crowd. His size does not stand out, being reasonably close to average size. His hair is a simple short, spiky brown hair and his eyes are green in color. He sports a simple white shirt that bears his family's business insignia on its hem. This shirt and corresponding tie, were gifts from his father. The shirt comes with one pocket on its left chest, in which he keeps two mechanical pencils, in case he needs to write something that could need to be changed or if his pen runs out of ink. He also wears a green tie, another gift from his father. Much like his shirt, it also bears his family business insignia. Apart from these, he wears a simple pair of blue jeans. On his feet, he usually wears white sneakers that have white laces. These otherwise-plain sneakers have a red ring around it that goes around the top of the toe cap and above the sole, with the ring rising slightly to go over and around his heel.
Personal History: Hide was born in the United States, but mostly raised in Japan. His parents were successful lawyers in the States and soon moved to Japan in order to become successful in another country's legal system as well when Hide was still a toddler. His father is a defense attorney and his mother a prosecutor. They both agree that they want Hideaki to also become a proficient attorney when he gets old enough, so they spared no expense to give him the greatest education they could. They home-schooled him, gave him the best private instructors that their money could buy.... When his high school-level days approached, he was practically buried by his books. Both those that he needed to study with and the ones he read in his personal time.
However, his parents did often disagree on which side of the courtroom they wanted him to pursue. It was nothing major that they fought over, and the times they did fight about it, it was only in small bickers at a time. But eventually, Hide decided that he needed to start getting some fresh air to clear his head and get some fresh thoughts flowing. His parents would sometimes go out on camping trips to help this problem, teaching him the necessary survival skills. After all, one never knows when something could go wrong on the road when he inevitably left to live his own life.
It is during times like these that he often found himself wandering the town by himself, exploring and eventually making his way through various schools around the city, driven by his curiosity about how other children received their education. He would always carry a bookbag to avoid looking out of place. Well, that and his mother always wanted him to carry a first-aid kit just in case. He kept it in the same bag he used for his family outings, just for efficiency's sake. She had always been far too overly concerned. However, he never made outside friends. But he was content living the way he was. Loneliness never struck him so long as his parents continued to set time aside for him and play his favorite games with them...usually puzzle or strategy games like Chess.
In fact, Chess quickly became his specialty. He played and studied the game so much that he was able to beat his father most of the time and any computer AI-controlled opponents in any program he ever installed on his personal computer on any difficulty level. He became a good tactician, learning how to read at least a couple of steps ahead by playing the game. His parents harbored this talent of his and helped him grow it, as it would become very useful in courtroom arguments.

- Perception - He is unusually perceptive, with sharper senses of sight and smell than usual. On rare occasions, he will even be able to pick up on tells and detect when that person is hiding something...though usually with non-subtle tells like clenched fists.
Personality: Agumon stands in stark contrast to Hide's calm demeanor. By comparison, he is a much more aggressive and impulsive individual. He often jumps into things head-first, eager to get into the thick of things as soon as possible. Anything else and he will find it boring. After all, who wants to take so much time thinking everything through and actually planning something? It's always a lot more fun to just dive right in! And that is exactly what he focuses on: fun! And there is nothing that he finds more fun that a good ol'-fashioned brawl.
He really loves to fight and train more than anything else. He is always seeking strong opponents to test himself against. After all, to him, the battle is far more important than the win. He finds one-sided fights to be extremely boring and will often not even bother finishing a fight if he feels that his opponent isn't giving him enough of a workout, unless they continue to insist. And he is certainly willing to stay on the same digivolution level as his foe, even if he can Digivolve farther. But of course, he also hates to lose. He is quite an arrogant Digimon as well. He likes to believe that he is the strongest Digimon around of his own digivolution level. So when a Digimon shows up that's stronger or more skilled than he is, he gets very angry. Although it depends on his foe, he will typically hold a grudge against the Digimon that beat him. But sometimes, a Digimon that beats him will earn his respect instead; usually when it's a very close battle.
Much like Hide, however, he has a strong sense of justice. He will always fight against any injustice he sees, whether he can win against it or not. He doesn't care how much bigger the enemy is than himself. He will fight for what he believes in, no matter what. And there is nothing that he hates more in this world than watching a weaker Digimon get bullied by a stronger one, and he will want to resolve the situation at any cost, sometimes requiring Hide to pull him away from an encounter he can't possibly win.DIGIMON'S INITIAL EVOLUTION LINE
