Pure froze for a moment as he noticed that Rippah and Sanoske have taken notice of him. It was almost as if he believed that if he didn't move, they wouldn't be able to see him. Sadly it was not true. Fortunately they didn't seem to be harassing him for eavesdropping, yet?
"Uhh... uhh... Sure." Pure stated when he was asked if he wanted to go fishing, "And just so you know... That outburst wasn't directed towards you. It was meant for Mel. He's been very talkative recently." Pure explained.
Pure wasn't quite sure yet if he should explain why he was here or not. And if he should tell them how much of their conversation he did actually overhear. So far that didn't seem to be a worry on their minds. Perhaps Pure should count his blessings.

Rippah chuckled, jokingly waving Pure off. "Look we all know you got that Hylden in you. We *hurrrp* expect some 'internal comflicts'. Right, big guy?"
Sanoske nodded in agreement. ^Yes, we understand your position. Anyway, thanks for agreeing to the fishing trip.^
"Oh such sweet passionate whispering, in a bitter spot, no?" Vetina also came out, yawning. "Displacing the humor, half hour is brekky. I'll hash browns and tot the taters. Ta-ta."
She went back inside to begin cooking, leaving the others alone. Rippah, pulling out his own fishing rod, began to walk off. "Well, I guess I'll get some extra fish then..."

"Well I guess that means other people are going to start to wake up." Pure said as Rippah walked off. "I hope my outburst didn't wake anyone up." Pure then added as the thought enter his mind.
He didn't even think about it earlier. Though if he was anywhere near as loud as he felt like he was, he might have woken some of the others up. Especially those with more sensitive ears. Here's hoping that if he did, they'll be willing to overlook it this time.

The others didn't make any comment on his outburst. They were already well rested and ready for breakfast.
The day went as planned, with it mostly being used to ensure the portal worked correctly. And then, early afternoon of the next day, the portal was ready for use. Everyone was ready to do their parts, With Rippah and Vetina standing near the machine.
Sanoske was a bit saddened that he could not accompany Crystal and Pure, but he hoped that they would all come back safely.
"Welp, hope you guys are ready!"

Crystal stood in awe as she looked at the completed portal. It was hard to believe they actually managed to finish it. Yet here it stood right in front of her.
"Okay then. This portal should be calibrated to take us near where I'm hiding Celeste. Unfortunately 'near' is a bit of a broad term as I have no idea where exactly the portal will drop us off at." Mel told the others, "On the upside, we should land close enough that'll it will be a half days walk from there to Celeste."
"Well that's just great. Can you at least tell us we'll appear on safe ground and not in a volcano or a Hylden meeting, or something like that?" Crystal asked.
"Well we'll not appear in a volcano. I think?" Crystal was not assured by that, "Any who. Any last questions before we fire this baby up?"

"To run visually incapacitated is just the path we have. Procure a bit of faith, the path is barren of much else, no?"
"I've been in a volcano once. Once was too many. *hurrrp* Well, anyway, I've got nothing else to say."
"Oh, and Rippah... and you too, Crystal, I would suggest you digivolve prior to entering. And be quick, as we don't know what the area will do to your data if you're there too long. Last thing we need is you bringing in some sort of new digi-cancer, dooming us all."
"I promise we won't bring back any digi-cancer."
"But... if you do bring back some digi-cancer... come to me first... well, no, make sure you call me and your quarantined first."
"Good grief. *Beeellch*"
Rippah digivolved into his champion form, RooGarurumon. Vetina decided to follow suit, going into her LeviaRanamon form.
"Wait...given our... abilties, would Mel and I walk the line in denoting ourselves as a Hylden digi-cancer"
"Stop bringing up digi-cancer. Ah'm getting nervous thinking about it, darlins."

"Ehh... We Hylden do normally cause abnormal growths on our digimon." Mel pointed out with a shrug, "Anyways I should probably switch with Pure real quick and have digivolve us to champion. Sadly he seems the only one able to do that for us right now."
"So the big, mean Hylden parasite inside my brother can't do everything on his own." Crystal said in a teasing tone.
"Of course not. It's not my body after all. Such things are sadly beyond me." Mel admitted before switching places with Pure. Crystal kind of felt sad that she was now able to recognize whenever this happens. Pure's eyes were a lot more lighter and innocent when compared to the one Mel wore. Would she ever be able to free her brother of that monster?
"Are you okay Sis? Is Mel getting to you again?" Pure asked as he noticed the sad expression Crystal had.
"Huh... Uhh... No. Just... Don't worry about. I'm fine." Crystal told her brother as she shook her head, "Anyways. We should get started. Right?"
"Yeah."
Both Crystal and Pure then began to focus deep within themselves to find the source of power that lied within them. They then began to glow as they tapped into this power, their bodies changing because of it. It wasn't long before they both were in their champion forms.
"Geez. This body still feels weird to me." Crystal stated as she looked at her Turuiemon form. It just occurred to her now that she hadn't really even practice using this form at all. Something she should have probably thought about before going into this mission. Hopefully that won't end up becoming a problem during this mission.

Burst had started up the machine, talking to the group in preparation of the trip.
"Now, once you guys go through, the portal will be deactivated for 8 hours. This is for safety reasons, as well as to conserve energy. After 8 hours the portal will be opened under minimal power. Just enough to peer through, but not to travel through.
Lezard has given Rippah a transmitter that will signal when he's near the portal. Once we get the signal we shall fully open the portal for you all. Be careful out there."
The portal was now fully opened, looking like a distorted yellow lens. However, were Mel to see it, he would instantly recognize the yellow tint as the Hylden area.
Vetina immediately ran through the portal, vanishing. Rippah sighed, not trying to stop her, and not thinking she would listen to him anyway.
"Let's hurry on up. *bellch* Time is wasting!"

Pure took a deep breath as he look through the portal. He wasn't sure about doing this anymore.
There it is. My home world. I really wish I could say it is going to be great to be back, but that would be an outright lie. Mel's voice echoed in Pure's head as he took note of Pure's nervousness, Don't tell me that your having second thoughts. Do I need to do this for you?
"Of... Of course not." Pure stuttered, "I just hope we have no need to retreat."
"Don't worry Pure. We'll be fine. I'm right behind you."
With those reassuring words from his sister, Pure took one more deep breath before charging into the portal.
Crystal paused for a moment as she looked at Sanoske. "I guess this is where we must part ways for now. but don't worry you big lug. I'll be back soon safe and sound. Now you be careful, you hear?" She then gave him a big hug as well as a small kiss before backing away from him and running straight into the portal.

Rippah ran in after Pure, leaving Crystal to be the last one to enter. However, Crystal went and hugged Sanoske. He hugged her back, nuzzling her lovingly. ^I should be telling you to be careful, Crystal. Anyway, do not be gone for too long. I will not say bye.^
With Crystal going through the portal, Sanoske realized that it's been a while since he was not with Crystal, or at least not in relatively close proximity to her. And while he was confident that Crystal would return, he couldn't help but to feel a bit... cold. It was Crystal that helped him develop as what could be called a "digimon" and not just a mere projection. Gave him a reason to live. And to stop drinking.
But he'll be fine, he told himself. A bit of him was inside Crystal, and hopefully that would help her out in some way.
