The Shibuya Train Terminal: a bustling hub of people traveling to the far corners of Shibuya, and for some, beyond. As people pack themselves into sardine cans- er, train cars to go to work or grab lunch, a strange phenomenon occurred. Well, besides what typically happens in the Terminal, anyway. A small rip in the barrier between the real and digital world disconnected from the Trailmon terminals formed, going unnoticed.
This rip festered there for days. Days became weeks, weeks became months, and months became years. This rip stayed the same; it didn't grow or shrink or let anything through, for it was just too small for that. And then, suddenly, it opened, spat out an Egg, and shut up forever. It's been ten minutes since that happened. And if you would have been there nine minutes ago, you would have beheld a Digi-Egg with a strange, almost corrupted pattern along its shell. But, alas, that was nine minutes ago.
The train to Western Shibuya was just coming back into the station after a short delay. While most of the people who needed to get on that train gathered around the departure lane, someone was there before but isn't now was walking back with this unusual cargo and a cracked cellphone. His name was Grant, and the egg was tucked underneath his arm. And he was standing at a crossroads of staircases, not remembering which way he came from.

Something else had followed the egg's passage into the human world after all. It too was small, and therefore easy to conceal and had the benefit of being mobile under its own power. This made it reasonably easy to hide from the unobservant humans, who so rarely looked up, or down for that matter. For a minute or two it watched the egg with interest, curious at which of these humans might pick it up- if any. The hidden form didn't have long to wait. The egg was picked up, the human's curious expression easy to relate to, given the circumstances. Squeezed into the space between a bench seat and the floor, no one paid any attention to the plump, bunny-like animal crouched like a forgotten plush toy. No one noticed Lopmon. But Lopmon noticed the man with the egg. He watched with interest as the man stood at a literal crossroads, stairs ascending in two directions. The egg cradled under one arm drew little attention outside the hiding digimon's; he watched carefully, waiting for the man to decide a path, and for a chance to follow. He wondered what the man would do with the egg. And hoped in the mean time a human child would not mistake him for a toy. Again.

Aeron was walking briskly as she listened to her MP3 player. She was in a bad mood today, most people had sensed the young adult was not to be trifled with at the moment and stepped aside to avoid bumping into her. As she passed people, the girls backpack slightly shuffled before two green eyes looked out from the unzipped backpack. He watched as they passed people and made sure that he was not seen, The creature then moved over and looked at its tamer. "master why do i have to be a koromon?" he asked loud enough for only the girl to hear. Aeron sighed irritated "because stupide you need to be hidden, you'll cause people to panic idiot" she hissed low enough for the people around them to not be able to hear. The in-training was not bothered by her treatment of him and instead smiled "ohhhh your so smart master" the little digimon prased. Aeron only grunted. She was so busy talking to her digimon that she hadnot noticed grant and bumped into him. Aerons anger spiked and she looked up at grant her green eyes were hollow they held no emotion but her voice told another story "watch where your going" she snapped in anger.

Grant had let the bump turn him around, seamlessly flipping himself around to face the grumpy lady, with her backpack to him. He noticed quickly that a pair of green eyes shimmered briefly within the backpack, but he was hardly phased.
He spoke quickly and with suavity, "Question. I'm about to give birth to a giant hen and I need to get to Downtown Shibuya five minutes ago. Which way is the terminal?" He slipped the egg from under his arm into his hand and tossed it lightly in an arc in front of his head, only to catch it with his other hand. He re-directed the momentum and passed it to the original hand on belt level. He continued to juggle the egg in a low arc and stepped towards her, the cool smile ever-present on his face. He could see plain as day that she was irritated to have to give directions and wanted to hide whatever was in her backpack.
"I ask because I've heard the rumors. Trains that lead to nowhere. Strange disappearances near the river. And mysterious text messages asking for your old cell phone- actually, that last one was just me- point is, I'd hate to, you know," he leaned in a little bit with a gleam and a wink in his eye, "get lost."

Aeron watched as the guy juggled an egg in fact it was almost like bones egg when she had first got him however her thoughts were interrupted when grant looked like he was leaning ever closer to her and speaking. Aeron gritted her teeth and leaned away from grant as he got closer to her, she was really starting to hate this guy "well i for one hope you get lost and never be found again" She said in distaste stepping away from him. Bones growled from inside the backpack "filthy human male! leave my master alone" he growled from inside the backpack. Aeron didn't know this person but there was no way she was going to help him it would only waste her precious time.

Human mating rituals were very strange. At least, that's the only thing Lopmon thought he could be looking at, with the being in each other's personal space, and the leaning, and the eyes. What else could it be? Did all human mating rituals involve hostility from the female? They must be the dominant one of the species. The egg-carrier had to prove himself worthy of... doing whatever it was they did to make little humans. Children.
Lopmon was startled to see green eyes shining from the open backpack, followed by a growled warning from inside. That young female was a tamer. Of course she was, it wouldn't do to breed with an inferior specimen. Maybe he needed to hatch the egg to prove worthy. Seeing a break in the foot traffic passing by and the two humans well-absorbed in their courtship ritual, Lopmon scrambled out from behind the bench and leaped, flaring his wide, prehensile-like wings to lift him up to one of the train status screens hanging from the rafters. From there he easily slipped along to perch above the two humans where he could hear (and watch) better. Crouched in the shadow of a sign as he was, he thought he would be difficult to detect. Besides.
Nobody ever looks up.

"Ah, my mistake! I should've realized you are also with child!" Grant couldn't stop himself from making one more joke before he realized she was seriously walking away. He quickly trotted back in front of her and tried to defuse the situation, playing it a bit more straight this time and walking backwards as she kept moving. "Sorry, sorry. I joke around too much for my own good. Look, it's clear that whatever this egg is in my hand is the same type of thing-er, guy in your bag. You must know what this is. So I need to know:" he gestured with the egg in his hand, "what are these? Where do they come from?" He took his old, broken cellphone out with his other hand for one more question, "And what does this have to do with my old phone?"

Aeron gritted her teeth this guy was clearly getting on her nerves " You're asking the wrong person, plus what makes you think that i would waste my time on weaklings like you" She spat out and stopped walking. Bones blinked from inside the backpack and was about to say something else to grant, but something caught his eyes. He looked around and sniffed the air. He could sense it a digimon was near by but he didn't know were it was. He scanned the area trying to locate it. His green eyes still couldn't spot the other digimon.

Lopmon noticed immediately when the digimon in the backpack caught his scent. He looked around, noting the human with the egg had followed the angry human into a less-used side hallway. They were more or less alone, reasonably shielded from view by the angle of the hallway. He shifted impatiently, trying not to make too much noise above the two humans. He really wished they would get this mating ritual over with and pay attention to more important things. Like that digi-egg. Pulling himself into a crouch, Lopmon huffed and decided it was time to do something about this. Silly humans.
He jumped from the sign he was sitting on and extended his ears out wide of his body, catching the air as he fell and parachuting down between the two like a tiny soldier dropping onto the beaches of Normandy between the friendly Allies and incredibly hostile Axis. Not that he'd know anything about that reference. He landed lightly on his feet, ears drooping around his body as he faced the young woman and looked up, up up to face her.
"I'm sorry to interrupt your mating ritual. Please excuse us." Turning to face the even taller male, Lopmon began to wish he'd stayed up on the signs. These human things were gigantic. "Excuse me. But you should really get somewhere you can let that digi egg hatch. I'm sure it's cramped in there and he's ready to be born. Also I would quite like to see who's inside there."

"Digi-egg? As in Digital egg?" Grant was uncanny at staying focused and picking out the details he wanted, even in the most absurd of circumstances. Even in the chaos of a bunny-dog descending from the heavens and amplifying this girl's apparent hatred for him, Grant kept his cool and got the gears in his head turning. "So this, you, and the pink blob in her bag are all digital?" Then it hit him. Of course! His old buddies from way back when would tell him about some "digital world" that was connected to their own. He never paid the stories any mind before, but put it together with the rumors that reached him even back in the States, then... "Ah ha! That's where I'm getting these texts from! Something in the digital world must've found my phone number! But wait..." Grant turned to face the staircase behind him, the one where he dropped his phone perfectly between the stairwells. At the same time, he flipped through the texts and e-mails he marked in his current phone. Somehow he switched the phone he was holding in the chaos. "I've been receiving texts and e-mails from this same sender for 10 years. I didn't put my info on the internet at least another 3. How did it know about my old phone-" Suddenly, his face beamed as something clicked in his head. With surprising speed he stuffed the phone in his pocket, scooped up the Lopmon in his now-free arm, and started trotting down the stairs before turning back to face Aeron. "Come along, now! I've got something to show you!"
In a flash, he was back by where he found the egg, right next to the staircase. He put down the Lopmon as quickly as he scooped him up, saying, "Sorry about that. Figured you'd want to see this." Right now, Grant was too caught up in solving a 10 year mystery to even see if whoever that girl was followed him down here. Or if the bunnydog bit him or something. "So! I come down here when I was 12 years old, right? I snuck away from my parents to go exploring and found a glowing crack in the wall right where this egg was! What did I do?" Grant took out his old, cracked phone and shoved it towards where the crack was. "I shoved my phone in there like an idiot! A 12-year-old idiot, to be specific. Anyway, two things happened. One, I saw visions of 0s and 1s while my hand was in there. Now I know that was because it was a portal to the Digital World. And two, my phone stopped working from that day forward. But, whenever I came back here to the station from the U.S., the phone would always heat up, like it would start working again.
"That's why I dropped my phone today. It got really hot, too hot for me to hold. Kinda like it is right now- agh!" The phone went tumbling to the ground. Somehow, the case had finally broken open from a short fall like that, but the more shocking part flew out from within the casing, still hot and glowing slightly.

Aeron gave the bunny looking thing a death glare, if looks could kill the lopmon would have died seconds ago "watch you mouth you rat before i decide that i need a new hat" she hissed in a threatening manner, Bones popped out of the bag and onto the floor he growled at the lopmon "i knew i smelled a digimon near by" he growled. Before he could say anything else grant was ranting about something before scooping the lopmon up and going somewhere down some stairs. Aeron rolled her eyes and was tempted to leave .
But her curiosity got the best of her and she went down the stairs, she and her koromon got their just in time to see grant explain things about what had happened when he was 12 years old. Aeron leaned on the wall as grant explained how he was stupide, there was no arguments there. She watched as grant dropped his phone in the middle of his sentence and rolled her eyes ignoring the flash that the phone was emitting she had already seen it happen to her own phone "and apparently you still are stupide sadly" she sneered. The koromon watched as grants phone broke and out popped a digivice.

"I'm not a rat," Lopmon huffed at the angry female. "I'm Lopmauhwoah!" It's probably a good thing the male grabbed him and went dashing off down the hallway. That woman might have eaten him otherwise. Still, it was kind of a shock, having this gigantic excitable brute scoop him up like adorable luggage. He stood stiffly and wide-eyed as Grant set him down and went on explaining at a rapid pace. Lopmon was clearly not used to being manhandled.
"You're pretty quick," he said, toddling over to the still-warm digivice and fanning it with his ears. "All I said was 'digi-egg,' and you got all that. Are all humans so easily distracted from their mating rituals?" He seemed to be asking himself as much as Grant. Now cool enough to touch, Lopmon scooped the digivice up n both paws, flared his ears for lift, and hopped up to his shoulder in a single leap and flap.
"This belongs to you," he said solemnly, offering the digivice. "That egg is your partner."

The digivice dropped into his hand. He had it all this time, ever since he pulled the phone from the rift, and he never knew. In his other hand, he held the egg that spawned from the crack 10 years later. He was so close to connecting the threads... but, who cares! He had a little buddy inside an egg waiting to be graced by Grant's presence, and another little buddy standing on his shoulder. What's more, a whole new world to explore! "It's decided! I'm gonna hatch this egg and be the best partner I can be! Certainly beats going back home."
He turned his head to face Lopmon, "You know what you need? Fun! And Chaos! But mostly fun! Fortunately for you, I'm in no short supply of that. Come with me!"
"Yeah! Then we can fight and fight and fight!"
"See? First part's already done!" Grant heard the brand new voice with its excited attitude and bet that voice was coming from the egg. He turned to face the egg, glowing bright purple. Just then, his digivice responded to the bond that developed in that moment and started to glow purple as well. Streams of data shot out from the device's sides and enveloped the broken bits of the phone on the ground, while other stream shot into his pocket and took hold of his current phone. All at once, the digivice pulled the data streams back into itself, absorbing the two phones and taking a new shape. One final data stream beamed out from the screen, this time making a whirring sound and spiraling into the egg. When the light faded, the egg had become a small purple rock covered in yellow dots. That was also a puppy head.
"Wow! It sure took you a long time, Grant! But it's ok, 'cuz I'm here! G-Fragmon is finally here!"

Lopmon cocked his head to the side, studying the little purple dog-rock-head. The effect on the cute, fuzzy body with his over-sized ears was a little comical, even with his quizzical, serious expression. He clearly viewed the birth of a digimon with some reverence. He was quiet for several moments, attempts at concealment forgotten as he perched off Grant's left shoulder, right ear wrapped loosely around his right like a fluffy tan and pink scarf. He studied G-Fragmon earnestly, then nodded down to the new digimon in a way that almost could have been a bow. "I am Lopmon," he introduced himself to G-Fragmon. "Welcome to the human world."
"I've never heard of or seen one of you before. How lovely." He leaned closer, peering at the little rock dog head intently. "What kind of digimon are you? What kind of digimon will you digivolve into, I wonder?"

Aeron watched as grant and the bunny looking digimon talked to each other. She grunted at the plans they were making she didn't care about fun or chaos. She watched as the egg began to glow and then hatch, she watched as grants digivice reacted to the hatching digimon, she lifted a brow when she saw what had hatched from the egg. She had never seen a digimon like it, then again shes been a tamer for only 1 day. The lopmon who clearly came from the digital world had said he hadn't seen anything like it so aeron could only guess that this was a one of a kind digimon or it was really rare.
The koromon next to her feet jumped when the egg had begun to glow and the digivice reacted it to, he looked up at his tamer he really wanted to go back to his rookie form. Aeron sighed as she caught bones looking at her from the corner of her eyes, she growled and took out her digivice, she pointed it down to her partner as the device began to glow "digivolution activate" she said simply as her partner was surrounded by an egg of data. "koromon digivolve to!" The koromon said from within the egg and it burst open to revel a black dinosaur looking creature "B-agumon!" he shouted happy to be in his rookie form. He looked at his tamer with a grateful smile "thank you master" he said. Aeron ignored his thank you but bones didn't seem bothered by it one bit, instead he turned around to face grant and lopmon and the newly hatched digimon with a scowl. He crossed his claw like arms.
