He always thought these lessons were like the codes of chivalry European Knights used to follow, and fancied that his family had their very own. He has always worked very hard to live up to it. He is friendly, though a little shy; he was used to his friend Kouhei being there to be the social one. His status in his school life as a bully magnet has encouraged an introverted nature. Though he may wish to avoid attention, he can't help but stick out for someone weaker in need. Maybe that's why the bullies come after him; but better Shichiro than the other kids.
Appearance:
Shichiro is mostly average height for his age, maybe a shade taller. A fast metabolism combined with frequent running and fencing keep the teenager lean, with long arms and legs providing a formidable reach with a foil in his hand. His hair is dark purple, his only consideration for style or length being keeping it out of his eyes. The latter is usually only partially successful. It tends to fall around his ears in a messy tangle that girls (and some boys) seem to appreciate. His eyes are a shade similar to his hair. When asked if he colors them to match and which isn't natural, he'll refuse to discuss the matter and insist, "Don't be ridiculous." When school's in session he's usually found wearing the standard dress uniform. Left to his own, Shichiro favors button-up shirts of various color with the sleeves rolled up and dark jeans. His gaze is often... elsewhere, dreaming on one whim or another. His smile is easy, if not exactly confident; in fact, he carries himself almost like someone perhaps waiting to be attacked. It is the smile of someone not entirely used to receiving one back. He tends to hunch his shoulders and lower his gaze when he thinks, causing the tips of his hair to fall in front of his eyes and further isolate him from the world.
Personal History:
Shichiro Inoue was born and raised in and around Tokyo. His father was a historian and a university professor. His mother was a gifted doctor. He was the youngest of three children, preceded by his older sister Tamiko (17) and followed by his younger brother Kiyoshi (9). The family was reasonably well off, and the kids grew up with a dubious status as the poorest of the 'rich' kids. Making friends was not always easy. When Shichiro was nine his mom got a lucrative position at Shibuya Medical Hospital. The family moved three hours away to Tokyo and dad got a job at the local university. They settled into the closest thing to a modest home in Society Hill in Shibuya. School was a lonely time for Shichiro, at least until he met Kouhei.
Kouhei Kanemoto found him, of course. He stood up for Shichiro that first day, ran his mouth and had everyone laughing so they forgot they were even supposed to be mean. Shichiro loved him for that, and they were fast friends. For four years they were all but inseparable. They spent hours at every conceivable board game, but chess was their favorite. Kouhei taught Shichiro to play a few weeks after they met, and it got to be so familiar a routine they'd set up a game and play against each other while talking about whatever topic was at hand. Shichiro rarely won but treasured every game.
The last game Shichiro played with Kouhei lay near completion and forgotten as the two spoke late into one evening. The boys were thirteen. Realizing the hour, Kouhei rushed home abruptly. He didn't live far; it was a familiar trip at this point. After he left Shichiro found his gaze drawn to the board. It had been his move; with a little shock, he reached over and slid a bishop into place. And grinned. Checkmate, he texted Kouhei with a picture snapped to prove his victory, the heroic bishop poised over a toppled black king.
The next morning he checked his phone. Plenty of messages, but none from Kouhei. Just from his parents, asking if he was staying the night... Shichiro has spent three years waiting to find out what happened to Kouhei that night. He never made it home, no one saw him after he left the house. He didn't live far, the weather was clear and warm and Kouhei just... vanished into it. Shichiro turned somewhat inward after that. He got bullied more, with no one around to defuse them. He put up with it. Time moved on, Shichiro grew, but he never forgot Kouhei. He eventually made a few loose acquaintances he'd occasionally spend time with. But mostly, Shichiro stayed apart. And every now and then, he'd call Kouhei's phone, like he did that first morning. And just like that first morning and every time since, it would go to voice mail.

[Berserk Sword] Draws Knightmon's large greatsword. It is a relatively slow and heavy weapon with a great deal of strength and cutting power behind it. Good for cleaving armor. Using its special attack carves a shockwave of heated air a short distance in front of him to blast and slice an enemy.

[Duel Cutter] Draws the short swords from Knightmon's sides. These blades have a shorter reach and less damage potential than his others, but they are faster and the extra blade allows him an advantage when bypassing some defenses. Their special attack is a flurry of rapid slashes that leave his opponent in ribbons.

[Blade Bastion] Draws Knightmon's broadsword and shield. The broadsword is a reasonably balanced weapon between the Berserk Sword and Duel Cutters, heavy enough to deal damage but reasonably short and nimble. He can wield it in two hands but prefers to wield it instead with his Bastion shield. Its special attack is a punishing shield bash that can knock a target or an attack away to buy him some space.

[Blades of the Old Ways] Draws Knightmon's greatsword, short swords and broadsword and launches them in a whirlwind of bladed weaponry to shred and decimate an opponent. Highly damaging for anything in a reasonably small area near a target. Can only be used once per digivolution as this attack consumes the weapons used.
