A shudder ran through Zephyr’s entire body. If it wasn’t the cold, it was the nerve-wracking fear that did him in. What exactly possessed him to come back here was a mystery in itself. Ever since getting used to his new body, he felt like something was missing. The subtle movements of his paws, running it through his new, lush mane along with looking for something on his body that didn’t exist, it was too much. He had to have it back. The eastern dragon flew at a slow pace toward the base of the mountain, twirling a whisker around two fingers.
“Maybe this isn’t a good idea.”
He repeated this constantly, but his body and mind didn’t seem to be working together. His body was telling him that this was utterly crazy. His new form wasn’t built for conditions like these; it was like throwing yourself off a building for the second time in a row! His mind offered otherwise. If he was really going to move past everything, he needed the one thing that made Zephyr, well, Zephyr. Whether he was a Gaomon or a Dracenamon, he had to get his D-3 and glasses back, even if he had to scour the entirety of Terabyte Mountains.
The problem was where to start. The dragon stared up at the mountain. It loomed over him like some giant waiting to have a new meal in his mouth. His body gave another shudder. This time it was the cold. The temperature was bearable, but being a dragon type and attuned to nature so well made it worse. The lush mane helped a bit, but it could only do so much. Thankfully it wasn’t snowing, but that’d probably change within the next few hours if he wasn’t careful. For now, the eastern dragon made a mad dash toward the mountain.
It was weird, for some reason, he could remember the path he took with almost staggering clarity. The concept of taking the exact same path that killed you did seem a bit weird, but it was the best chance he had if everything was still where it was.
“It better. Really hoping nothing’s destroyed.” He muttered.
He accepted the reality that his shades might have been destroyed under the harsh conditions, but his digivice was another thing. Those things were damn near indestructible. While the screen was cracked, it most likely survived. Now he just had to find the damn thing before the weather worsened. One good thing that came of this entire situation was that Zephyr’s dream of perpetual laziness came to fruition. Now he could fly everywhere without even touching the ground. Snow always felt horrible on his feet, and flight gave him a bird’s eye view. Now, it was time to get started.

"Ahh cold like my heart" Tweek smirked, enjoying the weather quite a bit. He always liked the north, it was deadly, icy, unforgiving, and spiteful, much like himself. Plus it always seemed to be littered with stupid explorers thinking they could easily survive the cold and only finding their doom. It kind of made his killings up here seem justified, he was like a force of nature, weeding out the weak, those who weren't smart enough to realize they didn't have a resistance to ice like him and couldn't survive up here. That said it was also a great place to continue his digivice collection. He'd taken quite fondness to collecting the devices of his victims and this place was usually littered with them if you knew where to look. Though it was funner to rip them off of a fresh kill Tweek wasn't known to tell the truth about things, who cared if he lied about where he got them.
"Huh maybe people have started learning their lesson, I haven't seen anyone yet" The mega chuckled to himself as he approached the mountain, of course as if on cue he'd see something in the distance, something green? He grinned toothily "Bingo", before he started to change shape, moving around his body and changing color until he appeared to be something more becoming and innocent, a simple Hawkmon. "Hey! Hello Over here?!", he'd shout letting his voice change too, higher pitched wider range, cute was his goal and with all his practice he was doing quite well.
As he shouted for the other's attention he flew up into the chilled air, "Slow down!", he shouted, calling out ambiguously so he could come up with a story as he got the other digimon's attention. It was quite simple really to come up with something, he could probably just be a villager who grew up here so was used to the cold and knew the layout of the land,

As Zephyr darted through the terrain, another thing came to mind. The flying allowed him to cover a few expanses that he couldn’t before, like high peaks. While he wasn’t at the epitome of speed, it was still something and made searching ten times easier. The eastern dragon was nothing but a blur of green as he madly searched; only taking a break for a few minutes before continuing again. He was barely up the mountain on the path he’d taken before and nothing. He was under the assumption that his stuff could have fallen back to base, but it was unlikely. Sighing, the rookie would continue to make his way up.
Before continuing to his next spot, a voice reached his ears. Who the hell would be up here? Turning around, he noticed a hawkmon trudging up through the same path he took. At the first glance, Zephyr might have assumed it to be same one back in Luminas, but his stomach told him otherwise. Scowling a bit, he just glanced around for any other signs of life, pretending to not notice him. He wasn’t exactly in the mood for dealing with people, especially foreign digimon. It could have been worse.
The eastern feigned ignorance, blinking at the hawkmon as he finally caught up. Zephyr glanced at him up and down. Didn’t seem anything too off about him but a smell. While his sense of smell was considerably less honed while being a dragon, something familiar was something he couldn’t shake off. Eh, it was probably some passerby he didn’t remember. “Er, hi. Don’t mind me, just looking around here.”

What exactly was this idiot doing out here? He seemed to be a reptile of sorts, nowhere near fit to be out here. What could he possibly be doing that was so important that he'd brave these temperatures and this weather only protected by a bit of fluff along it's back. These would be among Tweek's first observations as he got close enough.
The faux bird digimon would fly closer, watching his specific movements now, definitely looking for something, and if he was braving this place it must be something good, maybe even actually worth Tweek's while. Then he replied. That tone, the pattern of his speech, it carried a hint of remembrance that the goo digimon quickly dismissed. ”Looking for what?”, he'd pry. His suspicion confirmed as the dragon continued looking about.
Tweek would have an almost concerned look on his face. ”You look like you could use help, your not from around here huh?”, he'd ask still using that higher pitch and his innocent tone. ”I mean ya know you can freeze to death out here right? If your looking for something you'd best to hurry up and find it, and two heads work faster than one!”, he smiled sounding friendly and helpful as he continued to flap his wings, always having found arm wings as weird and inefficient.
Still he was determined to find whatever this important thing was before the dragon digimon, that or rip it from his dying hands, either option would work out just fine. |

Zephyr simply continued on in his searching, attempting to ignore the nosy avian. While he had no reason to pretend he didn’t exist, poking his beak into his business wasn’t appreciated. Yes, it was cold and he was a reptile braving through the cold to find something, what did it matter? He had a right to be concerned, but in his mood, Zephyr wasn’t the most talkative when he wanted to be alone. He was half tempted to just whip at him and tell him to buzz off, but something told him that it wasn’t the best idea. For starters, it’d be a complete waste of energy and the ground didn't suit him for battle. Even prepping the land required a bit of down time.
With a sigh, the whiskered digimon stared back at the hawk. “Yeah, I know that well enough, trust me.” He grumbled. The memory of freezing to death out here was not a good one. He let out a momentary shudder before simply floating up to the hawkmon, tail swishing about in curiosity. “Couldn’t I say the same for you? Feathers are nice, but they won’t help much, even if you do live around here.” He mentioned, twirling a whisker. Whether or not he would give a retort, Zephyr then descended and began to comb around the area once more.
“And I’m looking for something I…lost while I was here. Figured it’s durable enough to survive a fall or two, so it’s gotta be around here somewhere. Damn digivice…” he muttered the last part to himself. He wasn’t dumb enough to say it out loud, but voicing his annoyance was the only way he could at least get the guy to leave, or maybe have him stick around like glue. He seemed…oddly friendly as well. Most of the digimon around this area were rather stand offish towards foreigners. Maybe two heads would be better than one.
“If you find a pair of shades around here, just hand them over. Don’t care if they’re broken or anything.” He mentioned offhandedly. As soon as he finished speaking, Zephyr continued his trek up the path. Whether or not the hawk followed, he didn’t care much. “Just give a shout when you do...What's your name, exactly?” He finished, actually bothering to give the hawk some eye contact. During his entire explanation, he hadn't even bothered another glance after being so distracted.

Tweek was at least hoping to get up front what this guy was searching for, some hint or clue as to what could be so important to this little dragon. Earlier he'd forgotten to take into account sentimentality, sort of forgetting it existed, the closest thing he had to it being the digivices he kept as trophies. He wasn't really attached to them though, more mementos then prized possessions. Like A snow globe from an amusement park, except it wasn't a snow globe it was a kid's digivice and instead of an amusement park it was a murder scene.
Tweek seemed to have hit a chord. ”Hmm? Sheesh what's up with you, just trying to help...”, he began thinking for a second about that first quick remark. ”And if you knew shouldn't you have come with like a jacket or something? I mean what's that even mean?”, he tried to sound more curious than abrasive as well. Also quickly using an extended truth to explain why the cold didn't effect him. ”I use Ice attacks and stuff, I guess it's just how I was born, thanks for making me feel weird though.”, he'd frown acting a bit hurt.
He'd flow the dragon down then and fly after him watching both the other digimon and the area for anything he may be looking for, then narrowing his scope when the dragon finally explained what it was. ”My name? Magai”, he replied quick then realized how stupid of a name he picked, from the grumbly disposition he didn't expect this guy to actually want to know his name. Was the dragon softening? He seemed to have a common need of friendship hidden somewhere as most creatures did but at the same time was opposed to contact and... oh...
”Wait a digivive?”
A former pet... Of course, it would explain his crappy people skills, why he seemed to not want to talk but he really did. Of course he didn't loose his tamer up here, he wouldn't be so worried about the device nor would he probably have returned soon enough to be hoping his shades survived, knowing the weather around here. ”Did... did you loose... him? Here?”, he'd ask knowing the answer but figured what better way to get information?

Zephyr continued his search up the mountain, mostly ignoring the hawk’s words. He was doing a lot more prattling than searching and It was beginning to get on his nerves. He took a deep breath and sighed and simply resumed looking around. The eastern dragon came up upon a crevice in the ground before the hawk said something about losing his partner here. His tail twitched for a moment, a scowl making its way on his muzzle. Ugh, why did he have to hear that? The reptile was past this, but someone deciding to dig where they shouldn’t was all sorts of aggravating.
The dragon took another deep breath. “Calm down, Zeph. You’re beyond freaking out on someone you don’t know.” He told himself mentally. All he had to do was keep cool and change the topic. He got the guy’s name, so at least it was something. “Don’t think that’s any of your business, If you don’t mind. But yeah, I’m looking for my digivice.“ he answered, arms crossed.
Once he’d get a response, Zephyr would take another glance at the gap in the mountain.
“Magai, huh? Not bad.” He smiled before craning his head slightly to look down towards the crevice. There was a small glint of light coming from somewhere deep in it. Thankfully, the crack in the ground was wide enough that he could probably slip inside and come back out. He wasn’t willing to take the chance as the space could be incredibly fragile. With a hum, the eastern weighed his choices.
“Can’t go down there without probably breaking something…maybe, just maybe.” He muttered to himself before digging a paw through his mane. Zephyr propped up two large seeds that he kept on the off chance he had to use them, along with others. The dragon threw one into the crevice, keeping one in his hand and wrapping both paws around it. Eyes shining a dull green, those two seeds sprouted to life, one average sized vine in his hand, the other beginning to sprout as it went down the space. The vine latched onto the wall with the thick pricks that spiked from it, the other wrapped around Zephyr’s whisker as he lowered his head down into the space, the vine still growing. He was gonna see what the heck that thing was one way or the other.
“Mind grabbing onto my tail real quick?”

A very interesting subject indeed. This digimon seemed to oppose being near or talking to others but at the same seemed to want to open up in a way and reach out. What was he hiding down deep in that digital psyche? ”Oh... sorry, was just trying to offer my condolences...”, the bird looked down a bit to the side slightly ashamed of making the dragon upset however Tweek was laughing on the inside.
Of course his Tamer is a 'sensitive subject' that's all they ever end up being for pets, a cruch thats taken away only for them to realize they still can't walk on their own. They can grow all they want with a , “partner” but it's always the same. They die, they loose them, they abandon them and the digimon becomes worthless and weak, no matter how much time passes.
”Thanks, so what's your name?”, he'd ask watching the dragon look toward the crevasse and start to weave some sort of magic seeds.
Plant type digimon dragon? Capable of flight at a low form so most likely more maneuverable later on, control over nature but seems to be only plant based nature which meant he was at a disadvantage here. ”Woa! That's so cool... can you do that with all plants? What other powers and stuff do you have?”, he'd ask also surprised he was asked to assist... Tweek himself genuinely surprised as well.
Obviously he wasn't abandoned, he'd have much to great of trust issues, so his tamer was obviously killed... and attachment to the digivice may mean this digimon thought it was his fault.
”Okay, I gotcha”, he nodded and gripped the scaly tail with his talons.
His psychoanalysis of his new... friend... was near complete and from the looks of how this search was going it looked pretty close to time to test his theory.

Condolences? Yeah, not like he needed any of that. He figured the guy was trying to be caring and all, but that was the last thing Zephyr needed in his life. He’d gotten his condolences and such out of the way before this all happened. It was like drudging up the past that didn’t need to be brought up. Regardless, it was time to focus. The dragon-plant digimon continued expanding the vine until the two eventually met, allowing Zephyr to take control of them both in a much more delicate manner. With a bit of waving and extending the appendage just a tad more along with craning his head, he reached what he was looking for.
“G-got something!”
Hoping he got the single to pull him back up, Zephyr moved back, reeling up the vine once he was back on stable land. Once the hawkmon mentioned something about his name, the dragon had mostly ignored it. For now, he was intent on finding out what he’d caught down there. He continued reeling up the vine slowly, eyes gleaming with confidence that he got what he was looking for. Once the vine fully rolled up, Zephyr began to pry away the prickly appendages and smiled.
His digivice was staring at him like nothing had happened. The screen was cracked to all hell, but everything else about it was perfectly fine. He didn’t know how long he left the thing here, but he felt like he was on top of the world. The dragon let out a sigh before pocketing the device and stuffing it in his mane as if he was brushing his head. As happy as he was to cradle the dang thing, he had other problems. Like that hawk, for instance. As caring as he was, he couldn’t help but feel that the guy was a bit too nosy.
No need to tell him he found anything, no? He turned around, a scowl on his muzzle as he looked at the hawk. “Nothing, sorry. Must have grabbed nothing by mistake. Maybe we should try somewhere else. And the name’s Zephyr.”

"Oh what is it?", he blinked curiously. A bit tired now of keeping up this act as he played out the plan in his head. He just had to wait for him to have the digivice show it to him, he'll congratulate him and BAM! Spikes though the chest and the little dragon dies in the frozen tundra... Or maybe a bit of electricity was in order. So many options so many ways to take this scaley noodle down. He couldn't wait to reveal his true form shock the smug doof and tear him to shreds.
But patience was the key.
He helped pull the reptile back up seeing him tear at the vines and. ohhhh such a little liar!, he didn't trust the fake hawk at all did he? Or did he? Was it deceit? lack or trust? Or protectiveness? He could just be lying cause he was intensely protective of the device that Tweek could see with his electrosensory, but he'd play dumb for now. "Oh nice to meet you Zephyr.. And where else should we look? Does anything seem familiar around here?", he asked, acting as if he completely believed the lie, flapping and hovering a bit in the air. "So... I may need to know a bit more to help fully, Like ... how long ago did you loose this stuff?", he would inquire, pulling hard on the innocent and helpful card, wanting total trust, maybe he could break this guy's heart a bit when he killed him too.
That name why was it so... familiar?

Something didn’t seem right. Again, he was prying after giving multiple hints that he didn’t want to bother answering some of his questions. He was courteous enough with a few, but come on. There were some things he wasn’t willing to share with a completely random stranger; Zephyr had enough tact to withhold decent amounts of information. He wasn’t paranoid, just not too trusting. Previous experiences taught him to keep people at an arm’s length to trust them as far as he could throw them. He gave the hawk an even stare before wrapping the vines around his wrists. He wasn’t planning on wasting any resources at all.
Zephyr simply continued his merry way before the hawk brought up yet two more questions. Mentally sighing, the dragon looked back at the hawk as he got the vines all propped up with the same stare before breaking into a small grin. “To be honest, I actually don’t remember. Could have been days, years, really.” He wasn’t exactly lying there. He actually didn’t know how long he’d been gone. It could have been a few days to weeks considering he found his digivice so quickly.
He found one thing he was looking for, but this guy was making looking for his shades way too uneasy. As silly as it was…he was gonna have to be desperate. He floated up near the hawk with the same smile on his face, patting his shoulder. “Though, while we’re here, may as well not starve.” He plucked two berries from his mane, offering one to the hawk, and another for himself. Whether or not the hawk took them didn’t matter, as Zephyr dropped them both right in front of him. At that exact moment, the eastern dragon bolted, the berries exploding in two giant flashes of bright light and a deafening sound.
Whether or not he stayed blind didn’t matter, he just needed to get the hell out of here. The Berry Drop was a distraction as the eastern dragon simply bolted in a random direction. He wasn’t looking for a fight, just to get rid of a possible annoyance. For all he knew, he could have attacked a random bystander for no reason, but what did he know? Not like he was going to come back to this place at any time. Too many crappy memories attached to the mountain, and it didn’t help that the cold reminded him of that damn IceDevimon. Hopefully the berries served as a good enough decoy that he could make some distance. He’d have to look for his glasses later, he got at least one thing.

Tweek could tell his ruse's behavior was starting to tax on the dragon digimon. Had he noticed something was up or was his innocent act just getting annoying as it probably would be to Tweek himself. Soon it would be time though and none of this small talk would matter. "Don't remember, well that's a shame, they could be buried under feet of snow for all we know.", he gave a saddened look acting as if he felt bad for this grass type pokemon digimon.
So he did die here... which was why the name sounded familiar, he was that stupid dog he and cog fought a while back. A gaomon. Seems quite the contrast for a rebirth, from a boxing pup to a grass stained whelp. Tweek actually found it quite amusing. Served that dumb dog right for getting away way back when. He seemed to have retained that personality though... and thick head. This was the same act Tweek put on last time pretty much. The cute and innocent and he'd just fallen for it again, so obviously he'd changed and grown little. Ironic for a plant dragon wouldn't you say?
Now this was odd. The sudden topic change and offering of food? Where did this come from. Tweek, or Magai was immediately suspicious of the Dragon. If he'd found out this would obviously be a trap, but then again so what? If it was it wasn't going to be anything spectacular from such a little dragon. Playing into the ploy he held out a talon to grab the berry and BOOM! A flashbang, not bad but not too effective against an opponent that doesn't rely on sight or sound. Still it was a bit disorienting. It only took him a few seconds to reorient himself and look to the fleeing dragon grinning a bit past the extent of what should be possible for a hawkmon.
"A liar though and though arn't you?", he chuckled aloud before his wings would grow a bit to increase his thrust and he'd push forward though the air after the dragon.
The chase was on.

Okay.
Where the hell did he go next? The mountains weren’t exactly the best place to fight, so he had to lose the stupid bird. The light and sounds for those berries weren’t going to last long, so he was on a limited time frame. Zephyr grumbled as he flew down the mountain path. He tried to rack his brain for answers. Something about this didn’t add up altogether. He knew the hawk was suspicious, yes, but the way he carried himself this entire time just spelled weird.
Looking back on the situation, Zephyr should have run from the start of it all. Digimon were usually able to tell how strong someone was due to the presence and sheer amounts of power they usually exuded. That hawk seemed way too off in terms of actual strength and appearance to match up correctly. Meeting up with that other hawkmon back in Luminas at least gave him some precedent to follow. Maybe that Child level wasn’t actually one at all. If he had to guess, maybe he was an adult, or higher? Again, it was pure speculation, but better to be safe than sorry.
Maybe this was a good chance to give his battle skills a try. He could only get so far attacking the air, and who knows, maybe some of his old habits would spring back to life in this new body. He was taking a dangerous bet here, but it was the only way he was probably going to get out of this in one piece that didn’t end in him freezing to death again.
“Alright, since you want to know so much about me…” he took a deep breath and focused his power, paws balled into fists. He attempted to summon up most of the strength he could tap into to evolve. In terms of control, Zephyr could only have a handle on his Perfect and Adult form, but this situation and the impending ‘hawkmon’ seemed to make him force a bit more energy out of him. As he dug into the reservoir of energy he possessed, Zephyr got more than what he asked for.
Much, much more.
His body simply exploded in size, pure light enveloping him as he skipped two forms and right onto one of his last ones. When the light died down, the ‘hawkmon’ would see a large eastern dragon taking up most of the mountain path, the end of his large tail swishing about and the somewhat monstrous face of his contorted into a snarl. The Kaizenryuumon chomped his teeth, eyes glowing a dull green. Most of the area had already been warped due to the expanse of energy Zephyr had let out which resulted in a large patch of grassland beneath him and a few feet around him and still growing with him in the epicenter. The possible staring contest would continue for a few moments before the dragon took the first move.
Those two black whiskers attached to his face suddenly gained their own consciousness as they swayed around slowly before quickly taking action and attempting to bash the hawk into the mountainside.

((sorry been a bit jam packed the past few days))
Tweek watched and in fact let his good old friend digivolve before him. What fun would this be otherwise? A Rookie vs a Mega... of course Tweek wasn't known to play fair. But still, just this time he'd wait and watch, a bit surprised the little dragon could push himself to Mega power level already. "Oooo quite impressive Zephy o'll pal! Hah I thought you'd be a bit more limited after dying that horrible death out here, really you must have gotten stronger since our last fight.", Tweek smirked, altering his form a bit to give himself arms along with the wings, keeping his smaller size though thinking it would work better against such a large foe. Being a dodge tank was Tweek's specialty after all.
As the whisker bolted out toward him he'd quickly let himself fall to avoid the lashing tentacle. "Aggressive facial hair? Geeze is every part of your body angry or something?", he laughed, analyzing now what such a foe might do trying to plan out each move ahead of time. Staying five steps ahead that was the game. The faux bird would continue to let himself fall catching himself below the dragon and flying forward quickly under him, He was going to try to stay away from the head and arms hopefully keeping himself out of attack range. Though about now he'd also launch his first offensive attack. With a swipe of his arm he shot up several sharp kunai made of solid ice, each tipped with a bit of poison to hopefully hinder his foe's movements.
Restrict him early on, then it'd be easier to taunt and tease later.

Well. After the first strike with his whiskers, it revealed two things about his little ‘friend’. For starters, he apparently knew this apparent hawkmon already from his previous life. Red was out of the question since the power difference was way too high. The second thing was that the overwhelming amount of power was something he was going to get used to. His whiskers flailed and smashed about after the first attack without discrimination, hitting anything and everything in some attempt to hit the focus of their owner’s ire and frustration.
Seeing him fall made him scowl. He didn’t land a hit, but considering the difference in size, Zephyr figured he was going to go somewhere he couldn’t reach. The air was out of the question, or where the sides of the mountain since the grass simply continued spreading, so that only left one place; under. A smart idea, but it was useless. The dragon grinned and simply took flight, the shockwave from his lift into the sky possibly making the digimon fly back. Zephyr took into the air and turned around, his whiskers still flailing about as something began to fly at him. Small daggers of ice were thrown from the bottom and were knocked out of the way by the appendages or destroyed.
The eastern dragon grunted, shaking his head around. Large seeds shot out of his mane, landing on the ground with a thud around the vicinity of the dragon’s body. Due to the now lush mountain land, those seeds quickly dug into the ground and sprouted into seemingly harmless flowers that littered most of the digimon’s infected area, at least several meters by now. In the same time, those flowers exploded like mine fields, covering the entire area and released a horrid odor, at least for the hawk. The Pollinosis Mine would smell absolutely horrible to anyone that wasn’t the caster. That was all Zephyr knew about the move, but once the hawk’s body was exposed to the odor, his body would cease to listen to his mind and start spasming madly.
The move allowed Zephyr some time to think. Who the hell was this guy? He called him an ‘old friend’. An old friend wouldn’t attack him. Hell, an old friend would have probably wondered what the heck happened to him. The large eastern dragon racked his mind for answers as he circled around the area while the visible odor spread far and wide through the area.
At least he was getting some well deserved practice in.
