Onto Another World (ESCUDO/SORA)
|
Post by Sora on Mar 12, 2016 12:31:17 GMT
Anyone would be skeptical about the presence of another world -- but ever since finding out about it, Sora had been curious about it non-stop. Blue, who now stood in his full rookie form was eager to see his homeworld as well. Given the problem while he had once lived there in a previous life, he had forgotten most if not everything there was to know about it -- except the part about which digimon was which, however.
Tamer and digimon stepped lightly down the quiet hallway descending into the subway, Blue ready to attack should anyone pose a threat... but both had one goal in mind: Finding their way to the digital world.

Hakainushi, although they have yet done anything drastic against the digital world or human world recently, Escudo and his comrades continued to remain vigilant in their surroundings. Even though he departed from the organization under certain circumstances, there were members who had personal reasons for going against the contract between Escudo and Hakainushi's leader at the time. These people are ultimate and higher; therefore, making them dangerous foes capable of massive destruction. Hell, on top of that, they are not interested in keeping Escudo alive. They are going for the kill, ensuring that Escudo and his partners no longer exist. The veteran has experienced battles where one would remain alive and the other dead; however, it is an experience he had no interest in enduring once again if possible.
The formation was as usual; Strabimon lead the group, prepared to take down anything that would appear suspicious ahead while Renamon remained behind everyone else, ensuring nothing sneaks behind the team. This has kept Escudo at the center of the line. Although he is protected from both front and back, his sides are wide open, but with good reason. Sadly, this is the new lifestyle Escudo has to deal with if he would want to see another day. Today they wanted to venture into the digital world to see what has changed since the last time they visited. Unfortunately, there was something that Renamon noticed that she believe needed to be dealt with before continuing further. Since this station is only known by those who have either made contact with digital creatures or are tamers, not many walk down these steps, making the sound of footsteps that belong from someone else not difficult to be heard.
The trio stopped their movements and turned around, looking upstairs. They have yet seen the person who they believe are following them, but at least they know which direction they are coming from. "Hey, you creeping me out or something?"

Blue visibly tensed as the feeling of multiple digimon became known to him. "Sora." Blue holds out his arm to stop the man who glances down at his partner. "Blue?" It isn't long before a voice resounds out, and Sora is left raising a brow in confusion. He lays a comforting hand to the Veemon's head before stepping down the stairs fully.
"Um? I don't think I am, but..." Blue runs to catch up to Sora, a visible glare on the Veemon's features when the group comes into sight.

But? Awkward way to end a sentence; however, that was not as important compared to the stranger's mysterious presence. After spending a few seconds looking at the characteristics of both the human and his tamer, it was safe to exclude him from those who are possibly hunting him down. Regardless, Escudo was not going to let his guard down, especially when he is alone with this stranger. To remove any speculations about the tamer in front him, Escudo thought about deleting the human's partner and ending his life. No, he is pushing it. It would be pointless to cause an innocent person to suffer based on minor speculation.
Compared to the human, Veemon was more visible. Renamon, who has seen both the digital creatures and the humans who once associated themselves with the fearsome organization Escudo was once apart of more than his twin, remembered someone who had a Veemon. "I suggest we run." Renamon advised the team. Although there is a possibility that this Veemon is not the same one with enough power to conquer an entire continent from the digital world, she had no interest in taking chances. However, Strabimon had to disagree. "No, if he is one of the hunters, then we deal with him now. Look around, he cannot go any higher than Champion if we make sure he does not reach the exit."
Strabimon was right. If they can keep Veemon within this area then he will not be able to evolve to his mega form, providing Escudo and his team the opportunity to take down one of their potential threats. Then again, this Veemon cannot be stupid enough to introduce himself down here. Some members in hakainushi know in exchange of power, Escudo carries a strong level of intellect. This must be bait, but there is probably a way to clear all these assumptions about this stranger and his partner. "Look, we can keep staring at each other as long as you want; however, I want to clear my assumptions about you. Let us do this; put your device on the ground and take three steps forward. You partner stands in front of you. Can we agree on that?"

"... Excuse me?" Sora asks, brow raising at the strange demands of his person. Sora had seen danger in the eye before, but that had been on his own and without the company of the young digimon at his side. Blue looked less than willing to accompany such demands. "I didn't do anything wrong!" He insists. It doesn't take a genius though to tell Sora that if he probably didn't comply, Blue might be killed or injured, and like hell he was losing his new friend so quickly after having him at his side.
He pauses, observing the person and the digimon with a calculating gaze. The question remained though, what if he did those things anyway? What if he put the device forward, and Blue in front of him, and the guy still decided to crush the device and kill Blue? Sora didn't want to take the chance, but it appeared there wasn't much choice, and like hell they were going back the way they had come. Blue had his own reasons for wanting to go to the digital world, and Sora was as curious as ever.
"... do it, Blue." Blue looked up with wide eyes, but seeing the look in Sora's eyes, as if to say 'trust him', he backed down from what would have been growling. Handing Blue the device, the small Veemon moves to place it just in front of him while he takes steps to stand in front of Sora.
"Good enough?" Sora asks.

Any normal person would find Escudo's request rather strange, but this was needed to be done in order to ensure he was not going to fight against someone who obviously has nothing to do with the situation Escudo has gotten himself into. Took some time, but the human followed Escudo's demands along with his partner. Strabimon appeared surprised. He expected the stranger to retaliate. Renamon on the other hand was thankful the digital creature standing before them was not the one she assumed was. It would seem there will be no fighting at the moment.
"Yes, that is good enough. I am sorry for making you do this, but please understand doing this will make both of our lives a whole lot easier." With that said, Escudo walked closer to the tamer, but not pass his digital partner. He needed to get a clear view of the person he is speaking to. Finally being up close, Escudo examined every part of his body, attempting to find any symbols that represents that organization. Thankfully, there was nothing, but that did not mean the male was completely free from Escudo's speculations. However, since he complied to his request, there no need to keep a far distance from the stranger and his partner.
"Hi, my name is Escudo. Those behind me are Renamon and Strabimon. Once again I am sorry for making you do this, but I had to be sure if you were not an enemy of mine."

Remaining quiet throughout the situation, Blue waited a few moments before moving to pick up the device and return it to his tamer. Sora appeared less then pleased about the whole problem, but he would push away his feelings for now and give the other tamer the benefit of the doubt.
"All is forgiven. I don't know what you've been through, but I supposed suspicion is warranted."
He lays a comforting hand to the now grumpy Veemon.
"We aren't looking for enemies."
How much he was allowed to divulge to this person would be judged by Sora alone, but even so, he knew Blue wouldn't be able to stand a chance against these other digimon -- Blue was newly hatched and newly evolved, after all.
"My name is Sora, and this is Blue." Sora offers a good-natured smile in that regard.

Another person who is not looking for any problems with others. Even though that is good to hear, in these days it is not safe to simply take someone's word. The human's partner was upset, probably felt disrespected to follow a direct order from a complete stranger. Once again, he understood the creature's frustration as he would have felt the same way if Escudo were in his position. Like them, Escudo was not interested in fighting anyone for the time being unless he has no choice. All he wanted was to be sure the mysterious person standing in front of him was no one with the intent to harm Escudo and his partners.
"Veemon, I know what has just happened may caused you to feel some type of way, but try to understand I needed to make sure you was not a threat. You and your partner can attempt to figure out the reason why I followed through these actions whenever you want; however, do not expect me to answer them. It is probably for your own good." Escudo said, trying his best to make sure what he has said to the two was not an insult but rather a concern for their well being.
"So, what brings you two here today?"

Sora's natural curiosity was kicked on as Blue was spoken too and such things were talked about like why he had asked in the first place for them to commit such an odd act, but... well, Sora knew well enough to leave the situation alone, judging by the man's body posture and look in his eyes.
Blue huffed in response. Sora had been teaching him when to back down from a fight, but that didn't mean he particularly would like it. "It's Blue by the way." He corrects the man, being sure to keep his tone respectful for now -- through begrudgingly.
"We were going to take a trip to the digital world. We've heard things about it, and we wanted to check it out for ourselves." Sora replies, gaze fixated on Escudo once more.

Blue? Wow, that sounded bland. Oh well, it is the owner's right to name their creature however they see them fit. Still, Blue? At least give the fella some meaning behind the name other than the color of his skin. It would seem the young tamer wanted to travel to the Digital World. Of course, who would not be curious about the other world these creatures people call digimon reside in. It is much dangerous compared to the real world, but Escudo was sure the newbie was aware of the challenges ahead.
"Alright, you look like the type of fella who is prepared. All I can tell you for sure is to be careful out there because serious stuff can hit you without any warning."

It was a bland name, yes, but Sora wasn't exactly creative in the first place. He completed his jobs, and that was it. Nothing more, nothing less, but the whole thing that the fact the name was bland in the first place was oblivious to Sora, as were the man's thoughts.
"Thanks, and we will be." He pauses though, his gaze shifting between the Renamon and Strabimon. "Is it common for people to have two digimon partners?"

If it was normal to own two digimon? Common question! It would seem there has yet been an increase of special tamers who are chosen to wield two creatures instead of one. "Not common. There are only a handful of people like me who currently exist. I suppose you call call us a rare breed of tamers." Escudo laughed a little, after all, it was true. Escudo has not seen another tamer who had two partners for a long time. Hell, he wondered once if he was the only one currently alive!
Now that everything has been settled, Renamon delivered a light bow, apologizing for her recent actions. She never wanted to harm an innocent; however, she needed to be careful under the team's current circumstance. Strabimon on the other hand greeted the new tamer and his partner differently. He approached the blue creature and raised his hand, hoping he would extend his and shake.
"One is more of a New Yorker while the other is more... Japany? Is that even a word? Ah, who cares. Anyway, I am sure you must have questions about the world you are going to, right?"

Blue's gaze trailed from the Renamon to the Strabimon, and upon the digimon extending his hand, Blue hesitantly reached out a hand to take his own. So far, what had been a rather odd beginning was turning out to be a peaceful encounter.
"I have only met a few other digimon. I'm aware they each have their own way of life and personality, but it's still surprising to see how similar they are to humanity in a weird way." Sora replies, offering a faint smile towards Escudo and the two digimon.
"So there are more with two partners? How many digimon are able to belong to a tamer at once?" Sora inquires. He had no need of more partners other than Blue, as he was a lone wolf by nature, but having multiple digimon... wouldn't that make it sort of like having a team of some kind?

More questions? Well, that appeared fine with Escudo. After all, he has done a lot of research when he started as a tamer, resulting him finding the answers to his questions alone. It was good to share this information to others in order for them to be more educated about the Digital World and those who reside there. "There has never been a tamer who held three partners who share one device as their source of evolution. It is impossible." Escudo answered Sora's question.
It would appear the conversation between the two are becoming more dull. "If you have more questions I will answer them; however, if you have nothing to say I guess you can go on your marry little way"

"I see." Sora offers a nod towards Escudo once his question had been answered -- unfortunately, nothing more came to mind. "I think that's all. We should probably be on our way... though hopefully we meet on better circumstances in the future, if fate should do dictate." Sora admits quietly, offering a faint smile. Dull? Sora wouldn't think so, but to someone who had things doing, it would be.
"I think we'll depart for now. Nice meeting you." Blue looked pleased to finally be on their way, as he was still wary of these three, but at least he didn't feel entirely threatened outside the fact he knew they could easily beat him should it come down to it.
