Black Fang! A Sudden Meeting? [Elliot/Isaac/Idmon]

Peace, and quiet. That's what the Network Plains were renowned for most of the time, with only the occasional scuffle breaking out, or an occasional idiot finding a hidden cave with a ghost inside. Today, however, the Plains seem to be tranquil and at re--
No, right. Something is bounding across the open fields, barking and snarling loudly. A bizarre black canine Digimon that...well, it looks like a dog. Yup. It...is it chasing something? A small silver sphere with a static eye on the front. It seems to be rolling away from the thing desperately, panicking silently! But where to look for sanctuary...
It's a ruse, of course. Idmon had degenerated to his Fresh form for the purposes of this, and attacked the Dobermon to convince it to pursue him. Why? He knew there were humans with Digivices nearby, and he wanted them to take him with them. Not just into the human world, but with them. So that he could travel with them while he grew in power, and perhaps even turn them against Scout in time.
Surprisingly devious for a creepy-ass baseball.

At the sound of the loud barking noise Elliot nearly jumped out of his skin. Big dogs were scary enough in real life. In the Digital World? Whatever made that sound was probably fifty feet tall and able to spit lava! Still, while originally Elliot was quaking in his boots, when he gave the situation a closer look he found himself becoming far more resolved. The dog was chasing something round and ball-like, and it did not look like a friendly game of fetch. Isaac made sure that his brother kept a safe distance as the two of them edged forward a little, taking a peek to see just what was causing such a commotion.
It wasn't a ball, but instead a baby Digimon in trouble. What were a pair of travelling heroes supposed to do? Just ignore it? Elliot shot a pleading look at Isaac, who answered with a sharp nod. They held their Digivices high and lit up brightly, calling out the forms of Strikedramon and Yasyamon.
With a heavy leap the two jumped in between the Dobermon and its strange target. Isaac couldn't help but notice that it looked really weird, like some kind of eye-spider, but he wasn't about to judge. The Digital World had some really weird looking denizens, his own transformations included. One of them was a drunken snake, for crying out loud! His brief observation made he turned back to the Dobermon, flashily swinging his blades in a show of intimidation. Elliot simply stood to his full height, feeling far more comfortable staring down the dog as Strikedramon than he did as Elliot. "Leave that baby alone, you big bully!" he shouted, standing firm even in the face of inevitable danger.

The Dobermon continues to bark, seemingly in a frenzy, trying to push past the two Digimon to get at the little Digimon. That had been part of the plan. Attack him again and again. Not enough to do fatal amounts of damage, but enough to destabilize the Dobermon's data. Enough to prevent it from thinking clearly enough to talk at least, and throw it into a rage.
The little ball Digimon, clearly a Fresh or In-Training level Digimon, rolls behind Elliot's leg and peers out, quivering. Say what you like about Idmon, but he's quite the actor. Well. When he doesn't have to talk, at least.
Dobermon opens its mouth wide and releases a beam of obsidian energy that scorches the ground only a few inches from Strikedramon's foot as it tries to shoot past these two newcomers and hit its target. Unfortunately, it misses. The patch of grass that it hits, however, changes into a strange, brittle glass-like material. How odd.

Elliot stooped down, giving the poor, trembling eyeball a gentle pat on the head. "Hey, don't worry. My bro and I are heroes. We're not gonna let you get hurt, okay?" he said, voice as soft as a recently fluffed pillow. He then returned to standing firm, making sure that Idmon would be kept safe behind his large frame. This wasn't the largest form he had access to, but it was far more personable than Sandiramon was. Besides, he really didn't want a fight. If this other Digimon would just run away, everything would be perfect!
Then it made the mistake of targeting Elliot. Immediately Isaac dropped into a combat stance, criss-crossing his two blades across each other. He juked left and right to try and throw off the Dobermon's rhythm, then slashed them outward to fire an X-shaped blast of energy. "Cross Slash!" he shouted, aiming the attack right at the Dobermon's feet. It hadn't directly attacked Elliot, so he figured he would give it the courtesy of just one warning shot. It didn't even get a chance to explain itself, after all. If it kept proving so cruel and hostile he would have to chase it away, but until then he had learned from Alphamon that first impressions didn't always mean anything.
"I'm giving you one more shot. Explain yourself or run, and we won't have to fight you. But come at us again and we'll make you regret it."

Dobermon growls and looks between the two Digimon protecting the little eyeball. Enough of its sanity remains to tell it what a bad idea this is, and so it turns and races off back the way it came (but not without giving Isaac a particularly vicious snarl).
The little eyeball Digimon, while hard to read, seems to relax slightly as Dobermon leaves. A spindly leg extends from either side of it, allowing the creature to lift itself off the floor. It directs its eye at the floor, a purple light shining from it as it projects words onto the floor. Japanese, at that. 'Thank you! Thank you for saving me! I'm Ociomon, and I owe you both my very Digicore!'. D'aww.
Given his method of 'birth', he isn't even sure he has a Digicore, but. Oh well. It's the thought that counts, surely? The boys seem quite easily manipulated by something small that appears to be in trouble. Excellent. His assessment of humans was proving accurate so far. Time to see if he can push this further.
They're both Spirit Users to boot. Maybe they'll unknowingly give him new insights into that system, enough so that he can extract a weakness that he can use to defeat Scout and take his Spirits for his own. He will be whole, no matter who he has to trample on the way to his goal.

It chose run, seemingly. Isaac relaxed his stance, while Elliot gave the mysterious Digimon another pat on the head. While Isaac would still be keeping an eye out for any potential ambushes, it seemed like they won the day without any fight. Safety in numbers continued to prove itself useful for the two brothers here in the Digital World. Isaac may have wished Elliot would just stay home and safe, but he couldn't deny that the two of them were making one heck of a team. Would it really be the same if Elliot was gone?
No time to think about that, though. They've got mail! Elliot's eyes widened in shock as he looked at the message on the floor. Digimon could do that? This guy must've been some kind of projector Digimon or something. That was really cool! "Anytime, Ociomon!" he chirped merrily. "We couldn't just let that big, scary dog hurt you. Are you okay?" He didn't see any injuries on the little Digimon, but its anatomy was kind of strange. Who knew if that dog ended up nipping at it before they were able to intervene. Elliot didn't even want to think about what would happen if they were a little bit slower on the draw.
"Where are you from?" Isaac asked, curious. Digimon came in all shapes and forms, but spiders and eyeballs didn't seem like they were natives of the Network Plains. Was he lost a long way from the city? Or did he come from somewhere else? Maybe a jungle, where his large eye would help him capture lots of light and his spiderlike profile would help him skitter around the foliage. Also, maybe Isaac should stop cramming for his first biology quiz before trips into the Digital World.

Ociomon's message disappears as it considers for a moment...and then projects a new one in its place.! ' I am now! Thanks to you two.'. By Yggdrasil, the little thing apparently does emoticons. Have mercy! Strange little thing. But at least it seems thankful, right? Its message disappears again as it looks between the two Spirit Users, its great eye blinking. 'I'm not from anywhere. I only woke up a few days ago, and I've been chased by bigger Digimon ever since!'. It wipes the text away, and then continues after a short pause, 'It's kind-of scary here. Sometimes I want to leave,'. Aw. Poor thing. Take pity on it, guys! It sounds so sad! Or...looks. Or...uh. Wait, no. It might be, though! Idmon has come to the conclusion that, whilst they might be easy to manipulate, he might have to try a little harder to get their sympathy. He's going to need their power and protection until he can Digivolve freely by himself. Well, he'll need someone's power, these two just happen to be...well. The first he's run across that can grant him easy access to the human world, if he's fortunate. 'But...where are you two from? I haven't seen anything like you before. Things that aren't Digimon that can turn into Digimon anyway! That's amazing!'

Awww, the poor thing! It was so scared and alone here in the Digital World. That was how Elliot felt on his first day too, small and vulnerable and being pursued hungrily by big, tough Digimon. Now he had come so far and learned so much, but back then he wanted nothing more than to just run home crying. At least Elliot even had a home to escape to. Ociomon was a Digimon, or at least it seemed like it was. This was its home, and it was one of the poor souls at the bottom of the food chain. Elliot looked down sadly at the poor creature, trying to think of what to say in order to reassure the Digimon. "That's so awful! I'm really sorry everything's been picking on you. I'm just so glad you're safe right now. And hey, soon you're gonna be too big and tough for them to mess with you anymore. Then you won't have to be scared," Elliot finally said. He had been a tiny Veemon before, and now he could turn into a giant snake of light. Who knows how much better he could get?
Isaac was normally quite the suspicious sort, especially when talking about their personal lives. This was the Digital World. Sooner or later there would be more humans popping around, so trying to hold that information out on Ociomon really wouldn't do anything. It'd just ask the next set. When there was really no way of keeping a secret, was it worth it trying to keep it around? "We're humans. There's a world of our own we're from, kind of parallel to yours." Isaac explained. He and Elliot released their Human Spirit forms, as if putting a bit of punctuation on that point. Even though they were used to being some of the smallest things in the Digital World, they still towered high above the Ociomon. Poor thing.

Ociomon stares up at them as they revert to their human forms, and blinks again. 'Oh. That's what a human is. I'd heard there was another place where other things lived. Is it nice there?'. If the Sunderlands can't see where this is going, they probably need their eyes checked. Metaphorically. By a metaphorical optometrist. Yup.
Ociomon seems to roll back and forth on its legs like a bizarre little animated pendulum. It stops very suddenly, and projects another message, 'Maybe you could show me your world? It has to be safer than this one, and I don't know what I'm going to do once you two leave!'
Probably Warp-Digivolve to Rookie and go hunt down a few Fresh/In-Training Digimon for their data, if they don't take him along. But...probably best not to voice that particular thought, huh?

Elliot loved the human world. After all, he was human, and he's lived there for 13 years. Would it be nearly as nice for a Digimon? Especially one kind of scary looking like Ociomon? He didn't exactly seem like he could pass for a stuffed animal like many Digimon could. Still, Elliot figured it'd be best to just give a good, honest description of the Digital World. "Well, it's kind of like the Digital World. But all the people in the cities look kind of like us. There aren't really as many kinds of humans as there are Digimon. It's pretty peaceful over there usually, but there are some really mean people. My brother keeps them away from me, so it's all okay. Its bigger than over here, but it isn't as diverse. Like, we don't have a Dark Area, or a big flying sky continent, and our deserts and tundra are all really far away from our grasslands. And the people there speak a bunch of different languages." It seemed Digimon usually understood them well enough no matter what they were speaking. Did they just speak binary or something? Ociomon seemed to be capable of writing Japanese, though, which was a really interesting thing. "It's pretty similar to here, but really different too," he concluded.
Then came the desperation message. Isaac knew this was a really unfeasible prospect. People didn't really trust Digimon much in the human world. Whereas Digimon seemed to know all about humans, the human world was mostly locked off to Digimon. Was that even remotely fair? Isaac wouldn't be surprised to see an organization cropping up to try and separate out all of these humans. However, Elliot was giving him That Look. His bleeding heart fell for the little Digimon's story, and now Isaac had to risk opening a huge can of worms or just disappointing him. In the end, though, he had to step down to his brother's sad eyes. "We can show you around for a little bit. But I'll warn you, it might not be completely safe either. Humans aren't the most comfortable with Digimon. You'll have to be very quiet and careful, okay?" Isaac concluded.

Ociomon seems to be listening intently as Elliot speaks. Clearly it must be enthralled by the idea of a world so different from its own. And people so diverse, with different languages and the like. Humans all look more-or-less the same, perhaps Ociomon had assumed they were all the same. Oh well.
'Yes! I promise I'll be quiet and careful. I'll be okay though, if you two are there!' Oh boy. 'If humans aren't comfortable with Digimon, I'll stay out of sight. I'm small enough to do so. I just want to see your world and the kind of things that inhabit it!'. Or whatever. Poor little thing just wants a break from the Digital World, and to explore!
Or more likely, to look for more chances to form some kind of bond with these humans that it can exploit later. The smaller of the two seems like the easiest to manipulate with 'sad stories', and the larger of the two seems to be easily manipulated by the smaller one. And so controlling the smaller one is the key to having both in his metaphorical pocket.
'Just tell me what to do and I'll do it.'

"Then we'd be happy to show you!" Elliot chirped, Isaac giving him a strange, somewhat-suspicious look. He was a little worried about how quickly Elliot was embracing this idea, especially when Digimon unattended in he human world usually meant big trouble. What if this favor expanded into another favor, then another favor, then favors on top of favors? Still, he trusted Elliot, even if he also doubted his maturity at times. If something went wrong he'd be sure to keep an eye out, but for now he'd just keep up a healthy level of suspicion.
"To get to the human world, we're going to have to go through the train station in Terminus City," Isaac explained. "When we're out of there, it'll be at a stop bound right to the human world. It'll be a very sudden transition from an empty train station to a giant mob of people, so you're going to need to keep quiet and out of sight. Elliot can keep you in his bag so you can pop out and look around without being seen by suspicious people. Once we're out of the train station we'll be able to get more exploring done. It's a lot of noise and chaos, so it might be a lot to take in at first, but trust me. It gets easier.
So just try not to call too much attention to yourself. That's really the only rule we have today. That okay for you?"
