Appearance:
Setsuna is practically defined by his unnaturally messy chocolate brown hair. It sticks up in every direction and refuses to cooperate with brushes or gels, essentially giving him perpetual bedhead. Though his boyish face, small nose, and lips are always set firm and unmoving, are often seen as defining and unique characteristics, it's Setsuna's eyes that truly make him stand out, for Setsuna's eyes are blue.
Not a dark grey masquerading as blue, nor a watery, sky-blue, but a true, dark cerulean that can only be seen by staring into the shallow part of an ocean on a perfectly clear day. They blaze brightly, full of the life he lives to the fullest, reflecting his unshakable confidence and unstoppable force of will. And when angered, when forced to take up arms and unleash his latent powers, these crystalline blue eyes flood with magic and burn a brilliant shade of crimson.
His honey-brown skin speaks of long days spent basking beneath the scorching rays of the sun. Setsuna stands slightly above the average height for his gender and is only a few hairs short of 6’ without his shoes on (something that infuriates him to no end, rest assured). His intensive workouts tend to keep him from gaining weight, while at the same time maintaining around the same amount of muscle. The other fact contributing to this lack of growth is his metabolism – it’s obscenely fast, to the point where it's almost a struggle for him to eat enough to keep from losing weight.
His taste in clothes reflects his lax nature. He prefers comfort over anything else, although he takes practicality into account as well (can't outrun rampaging dinosaurs with pants around his ankles, now can you?). A pair of dark blue jeans usually sit atop his hips, held in blade by a heavy black belt.Upon his feet he sports black converses, assuming he decides to wear shoes at all. Setsuna despises having his feet confined; there's nothing comfortable about having then sit into some sort of prison all day, all the while building up sweat and a funk he wouldn't wish on his worst enemies. He adorns his upper body with tee shirts of varying shades of color. However, he does tend to have a preference for yellow or white shirts, usually sporting black crew necks and sleeves.
Personality:
In his heart, Setsuna will always be a person who'd rather be on his back in the green or in a tree, watching the clouds. When not confronted with the few things that trigger his temper, such as ignorance and overconfidence, Setsuna is just your average relaxed guy. He loves to joke around, to run about in the wild whilst adrenaline pounds through his veins. Nothing makes this man happier than the opportunity to escape from the drama and political strife and to simply, as he so eloquently puts it, "chill out." One might assume that this lackadaisical and carefree nature would make Setsuna a peaceful individual, the kind of man whose charisma could win over even the most stoic and ill-tempered. Said individuals, however, would be shocked at what they find when looking beyond his outwardly lighthearted attitude and peering into the mechanics of his mind and soul.
Setsuna is, first and foremost, a selfish individual. That isn’t to say he goes out of his way to capitalize on the misfortunes of others, or lacks the capability to empathize with the plights and struggles of those burdened with some of life’s many hardships. Neither does this mean that he is an inherently dark-hearted individual willing to use any method, no matter how twisted or brutal, to accomplish his goals. He simply looks out for number one – that being himself, of course. He is far from ruthless or unfeeling for the plights of others, but in the end he recognizes that his only responsibility is to his own happiness and wellbeing. When Setsuna reaches out to lend a helping hand, is isn’t out a desire to make the world a better place, nor an intent to spread his good fortune unto others. He does so on a whim, oftentimes acting out of boredom and an underlying hope that his good deeds might reap some sort of reward, be it monetary or a chorus heartfelt thanks.
Yet at the same time he can usually turn a blind eye when the situation seems far more troublesome than his time is worth. Setsuna is set in the belief mankind will never look at situations rationally and will, and always will, resort to deception and thuggery to resolve conflicts. This bleak outlook greatly shapes his interactions with others, a belief that allows him to turn his back on disasters and injustices without invoking overwhelming feelings of guilt and shame. Hopes and dreams crumble to dust all the time, as he very much knows from experience, and no amount of charitable efforts and happy thoughts will change mankind’s long-lived habit of disadvantaging others in order to further the individual’s wealth and power. Why should he slave away for the sake of others and forsake his own personal well-being?
That isn’t to say he is capable of completely shutting out the guilt of ignoring others’ misfortunes; while he is self-centered, Setsuna is by no means a bad person. In fact it can actually prove quite taxing, forcing him to choose between his vested self-interest and the overwhelming urge to put himself in a disadvantageous position for the sake of another. He can ignore poverty and just punishments with little effort – it becomes far more difficult for him to remain uninvolved when innocents find themselves at the mercy of the corrupt and powerful, or to remain aloof when he witnesses blind prejudice born from baseless claims and stereotypes.
The paradoxical nature of Setsuna’s persona – a man who strives to act in his best interest, but who is inevitably swayed by the pull of his moral compass – ensures that he never remains at peace for long. In light of this Setsuna usually acts with a single goal in mind – to milk as much entertainment as humanly possible from each and every moment of his mortal life. He strives to hoard memories of happiness and wonder, filling his past with uncontrollable laughter juxtaposed with the ever-soothing resonance of nature’s silent heartbeat. He loves to laugh and make other laugh alongside him, to poke fun at both friends and strangers alike. If he finds a situation amusing he might take his antics so far that other parties involved might actually question his sanity. Setsuna will ignore all manner of social tact should he find it appropriate for the situation, making the most bizarre inquiries and contextually-inappropriate jokes for the sake of his own amusement.
Above all else Setsuna values his honor, as old-fashioned as the idea might. Unlike so many other who claim to ruled by their honor, however, he rises not to slander and sleights against his person. Setsuna’s honor is based in his actions; repaying kindnesses and debts and treating others with the same respect they show him. It is from this Setusna’s sense of duty and purpose is born - not from furthering his personal gains in life, but by some overarching respect for the notions of equality amongst all.
One might struggle to consider Setsuna one of the “good guys” given his indifference, a view that is undeniably grounded in a measure of truth. Yet he is not so cruel-hearted that he can leave others to their fates when confronted with adversities beyond their earthly means of control. While far from noble and giving Setsuna is, if nothing else, a purposeful young man who lives by a code of his own making – an individual whose mere presence makes life itself all the more unpredictable, and whose slightest whim can bring salvation just as easily as it can summon disaster. He unapologetically lives life how he sees fit, consequences be damned, and refuses to bend to the will of those who would claim to be above him in the scale of all things.
Personal History:
A great man once said heroes are not born, they are made. The universe itself presents its denizens with a block of untarnished marble and hands them the hammer and chisel needed to free its champion from confinement. All one requires to realize this vision is a heart untarnished by selfishness, and the drive to push oneself beyond their mortal, earthly limits. Only seldom do the people recognize the opportunity laid before them, and even rarer are the occasions where those tools aren't turned from instruments of creation into bearers of strife and suffering. So the marble sits ever still, braving the elements and slowly wearing away into a brittle, mocking imitation of its long-lost glory and purpose. It precariously balances atop an ever-widening crevasse, awaiting the day a mortal's whims tips it over the edge and plunges it into eternal darkness.
Heroes are not born, nor are they made from the goodwill and light of the universe. They drag themselves away from the edge of the abyss and steel the fractured remnants of their hearts in the face of unending adversity. It is not by choice they suffer their burdens, but through a sense of duty so deeply ingrained into their souls that it forces them to push beyond their frail mortal limits for the sake of another. And if they cannot conquer their inner demons and prevail against those who would see their struggles amount to naught but failure, they sink from the light of day and into the obscurity and despair cast by fate's long shadow.
Setsuna Tasumaki is the third option - a boy destined for a perfectly average life, but burdened with another's glorious purpose.
In all honesty, Setsuna started off as an almost average run-of-the-mill teenager, with just a touch more sarcasm than what one might consider “healthy” at his age. He was liked well enough by his peers, and even though he ran his mouth off a tad too often for an adult’s liking, he never said anything so explicitly terrible that it invoked the wrath of his parents or school faculty. He flitted between a few sports in his youth before deciding to focus on basketball, displaying a degree of athleticism far beyond that of his peers – one that was unfortunately counteracted by the young man’s general apathy and disinterest in pushing himself beyond an above-average level of performance.
Funnily enough, Setsuna’s entire persona was counterintuitive when considering his upbringing and innate abilities. His entire family was driven and focused, constantly pushing themselves to achieve new goals without stopping for so much as a breather. Setsuna, on the other hand, was more than content to cruise by on luck and natural talent, rarely considering applying himself to secure a brighter future.
Friends and family might have called him lazy. Setsuna preferred to think of it as “apathy born through a lack of necessity.”
Or perhaps it was apathy born through necessity. In a world filled with people that once drove him crazy due to their ignorance and short-sightedness, simply not caring let the young man focus on the things that made him feel alive – mainly food. Food and marital arts; after all, there were few times Setsuna could claim to have felt as invigorated as when going up against his peer in sparring matches, or when utilizing his skills out in the streets when faced with no other option.
Even now, less than a year away from graduation, Setsuna has no particular drive to "win at life," as many of his friends would call it. He has no real career plan and sent out his college applications based solely on the quality of their dining halls, as opposed to acadmeic criteria. He is entirely rooted in the present time, rarely thinking ahead unless it's in reference to planning out a trip with friends or contemplating what meal he should put together for dinner.
Of course, this lack of drive to "win" is soon to come with a near-palpable amount of irony.

~ Spirits of Victory ~
Victory is no so easily defined as one does fire and ice. At its core it means to emerge from conflict having bested all other participants; the exact means by which one accomplishes this feat, however, can vary drastically. Some might rally comrades and inspire greatness, pushing their abilities to their absolute limit and lending support wherever it is needed. Otherwise might trample over such sentimental feelings and resort to brute force, annihilating any who dare stand in the way of their goals be they friend of fore. The Spirits of Victory are neither inherently good nor are they evil; while their methods can differ drastically, their purpose is as one - to trample all over whatever fate had laid before them, and use whatever tools they have at their disposal to ensure their side is the one standing on top when all is said and done.

Type: Small Dragon
~ victory begins with naught but one's will to move forward ~
Attribute: Virus
Families: Dragon's Roar, Nature Spirits
Type: Small Dragon
~ victory begins with naught but one's will to move forward ~
Passive Abilities:
➳ Thick Skin: Guilmon's skin is imbued with the power of victory, granting him a natural defense rivaling that of tempered metal. While by no means as durable as chrome-digizoid, the protection afforded to him by his attribute allows him to withstand attacks from champion-level digimon. Against foes at his level Guilmon is able to prolong the fight thanks to this added protection.
Combat Abilities:
➳ Irrevocable Blow - Unleashes his power and momentarily overwrites the laws of existence, distorting the fabric of reality surrounding his body. This allows him to bend the flow of time to his will and compress up to three raking claw strikes into a single moment in time, though each individual blow is marginally weaker than normal. Note that repetitive use of this skill becomes increasingly exhausting, especially when already weakened through combat. [cooldown, 1 post]
➳ Pyro Breaker - Channels all the passion in his burning spirit into a projectile of white-hot flames that he launches from his mouth. This blast unleashes a minor detonation on impact, which carries force comparable to that of a punch that can knock foes backwards in addition to burning them.
➳ Rally the Troops - Bellows with all the might his spirit will lend him, which in turn infuses any ally within earshot with the power of Victory. Reinvigorates the fighting spirit of Guilmon and his allies, temporarily allowing them to ignore any fatigue they have accumulated through battle as well as bolstering their physical strength and agility by 30%. [Duration, 1 post | Cooldown, 2 posts]

Attribute: Vaccine
Families: Metal Empire, Virus Busters
Type: Warrior
~ the strength of many given to one, so that he may lend it to others in turn ~
Passive Abilities:
➳ United We Stand - Tristamon's mere presence on the battlefield inspires allies to greatness. Those within a 30-meter radius of him are continually fed a small fraction of Victory’s power, which provides a moderate boost to their stamina. Additionally, at the beginning of his post Tristamon heals a minor amount of damage from up to one ally within this range, at the cost of a minor portion of his own stamina.
➳ Tonbogiri - Tristamon is able to condense his power into a weapon that takes on one of two forms; the first being a spear, which stands a head taller than himself and bearing a flag fasted just beneath the spearhead. Its alternative form is a glowing longsword, equipped with a cross-guard in the shape of a dragon's wings. He is able to conjure this weapon at will as well as call it to his hand from a remote location, as it is every bit a part of him as is his power over Victory. When the weapon in not in hand it floats within arms reach, ready and awaiting its creator's will.
Combat Abilities:
➳ Lonesome Martyr - Releases control over his power of victory, causing white flames to engulf Tonbogiri in spear-form as he hurls it towards his quarry with devastating speed and force. This attack temporarily overwrites a section of the victim’s coding, immediately negating any active status buffs and inflicting a moderate debuff to their attack power and agility for the duration. Additionally, the target cannot benefit from any status buffs or healing while affected by this technique. [duration, 2 posts | cooldown, 3 posts].
➳ Flurry of Steel - Tristamon floods his weapon with power and delivers a high-speed flurry of piercing blows with its tip, be it in sword of spear form. He can normally deal five such blows through this maneuver, purposefully targeting any weak points in an enemies defenses should he be aware of them. His accuracy with this technique, along with the number of blows, decreases as he becomes more exhausted and wounded over the course of combat.
➳ Homefield Advantage - Calls down lightning from the heavens to strike his weapon, then delivers an arcing swing with the electrified blade or polearm. Those struck by this blow suffer a potent electrical shock that leaves them stunned for up to one full post post. This swinging motion also looses the lighting from the weapon and hurls it forward, generating an electrified field stretching out 10 meters in front of Tristamon. Foes who begin their turn in this zone suffer minor electrical damage and are stunned for a few seconds. [duration, 1 post | cooldown, 2 posts]
➳ Reckless Pursuit - Tristamon floods his body with the power of Victory and projects it form his back, launching him forward like a missile at blinding speeds to ram into a single foe with considerable force. Though the sheer speeds he moves at prevents Tristamon from altering his trajectory while in-motion, he can able to phase through objects and people that cross his path. He can deliver this blow with the point of a spear instead of a body slam to deal a more damaging blow, though the speed he moves at makes landing this precise hit much more difficult. [cooldown, 1 post]
➳ Call to Arms - Unleashes a battle cry infused with the power of Victory that reinvigorates the fighting spirit of Tristamon and his allies, engulfing them in an aura of blazing golden light. This infusion of vitality temporarily allows those affected to fight at full strength, negating any active status debuffs and restoring a moderate portion of their physical stamina. It additionally heals a modest amount of injury over the duration of effect, completely regenerating a minor injury or improving the condition of more serious wounds to the point where they become manageable.
[duration, 2 posts | cooldown, 4 posts]

MEGALOGROWLMON, Beast Spirit of Victory
Attribute: Virus
Families: Dragon's Roar, Metal Empire
Type: Cyborg Dragon
~ dominate the enemy by any means, cast aside your petty loyalties and doubts ~
Passive Abilities:
Active Abilities:➳ Marked for Death - Every attack or ability that successfully hits a target inflicts a stack of Corruption; any of MegaloGrowlmon's abilities that produce ongoing effects also inflict one stack of Corruption per post to the affected target(s). Corruption stacks cause victims to suffer more damage when they are successfully attcked, bypassing their defenses entirely. At 1 stack the additional damage is relatively minor, but the potency grows exponentially as the number of stacks increase; at the maximum of 5 stacks the additional damage inflicts moderate injury. All stacks of Corruption are removed from a target should they not receive any additional stacks for 2 posts (stacks that fail to add when at max stacks count for prolonging this effect), or if they benefit from a healing effect.
➳ Atomic Smasher - Condenses the power of Victory and launches it as fiery projectiles from any of his arm-mounted cannons, secondarynipplechest cannons, and/or his central torso cannon. These projectiles produce an explosive blast area of roughly 5 meters on impact, but also produce immense heat that stresses the weapon; after firing the same weapon twice, it requires a short cooldown period before it can be fired again. Even with this limitation, the considerable number of weapons at his disposal allows him to lay down an impressive display of firepower in both raw power and sheer quantity. [cooldown, 2 posts per cannon]
➳ Double Edge Σ - Channels his power to into the massive Pendulum Blades fused to each hand, cause them to burn white-hot and crackle with electrical current. MegaloGrowlmon then activates his back and elbow-mounted thrusters to deliver a high speed slash with each blade, packing enough force to cause trauma to heavily-armored foes or even dispel weaker projectiles. The electrical current is discharged from the force of this impact and deals moderate electrical damage to anyone within a 5-meter radius of the victim, as well as stunning them for one post if they are at a level equal to or lower than MegaloGrowlmon. [cooldown, 2 posts]
➳ Chrono Trigger - Allows MegaloGrowlmon to negate any incoming attacks or abilities by moving them forward in time, at the cost of gaining an additional stack of Corruption per attack negated; in addition, MegaloGrowlmon moves through time at a speed 4 times greater than that of his surroundings, allowing for vastly increased speed and reaction times. All negated attacks are dealt in full when this ability wears off with no chance of dodging, though defensive measures can be used to reduce the amount of damage. MegaloGrowlmon can impart the effects of this skill to any other target, provided he make physical contact with them. [duration, 2 posts | cooldown, 4 posts]
➳ Crimson Fervor - A fearsome, mechanical roar forcibly awakens the primal fury sleeping within MegaloGrowlmon and his allies. Those affected have their offensive power and agility tripled for the duration, and allies are encased in a vaguely dragon-shaped aura of crimson light that grants enhanced flight capabilities thanks to the wing-like protrusions sprouting from it. The savage nature instilled by this power causes targets run wild with little sense of self, causing them to attack both friend and foe while disregarding their personal safety. [duration, 3 posts | cooldown, 3 posts]
➳ Absolute Meltdown - MegaloGrowlmon manifests a massive construct of golden light in the shape of the symbol of Victory in front of him, then expels a supercharged blast of white-hot energy from his central chest-mounted pulse cannon. As this torrent of power travels through the floating symbol it breaks apart into a swarm of 10 high-speed projectiles that home in on a chosen target(s) for a short while, though their lack of fine maneuvering skills allows nimble foes to dodge them. Note that each projectile inflicts a separate stack of Corruption, thus if multiple blasts hit the same target it receives stacks equal to the number of successful hits by this attack. [duration, 1 post | cooldown, 5 posts]
➳ Peerless Retribution - MegaloGrowlmon reaches out to the fragments of his power embedded into others, creating glowing symbols of Victory at the feet of any number of targets engaged in combat. Those who are unable to escape these symbols in time have all stacks of Corruption, if any, removed from them; all targets, including MegaloGrowlmon himself, are then dealt damage equal in severity to the sum total of all Corruption stacks removed this way by massive energy beams that blast upward from the symbols. [cooldown, 2 posts]

Families: Wind Guardians, Virus Busters
Type: Angel
~ false hope given form, to give faith to the faithless ~
Passive Abilities:
➳ Muse of Men - Just looking upon Angemon is enough to inspire greatness in even the meekest of men. Those whom he consider allies who find themselves in his presence are able to draw upon the faintest fragment of Victory's power, providing them with a near-supernatural morale boost that allows them to fight on even against overwhelming odds. While it does not provide any tangible stat boosts, this new-found confidence is still a potent factor in its own right.Combat Abilities:
➳ Heaven's Knuckle - Throws a punch towards his foe, and follows it up with stream of sacred energy that hurtles forward as a beam of radiant light. This attack is especially potent when faced with Virus-attribute foes, inflicting significantly increased amounts of damage against such targets. [cooldown, 2 posts]
➳ Omni Typhoon - Spins his staff around at speeds fast enough to generate a tornado-like effects, capable of blowing aside weaker projectiles and opponents in front of him. The momentum generated by this spinning motion can also be used to deal a heavy physical blow to opponents within reach, with enough force to leave them momentarily dazed from the impact.
➳ Feather Storm - Angemon floods his wings with the power of Victory, causing them to burn with a brilliant whitish hue that can light up the night sky. He then flaps all six of his wings in the direction of his foes, unleashing a torrent of feathers as harp and hard as daggers. The wide spread of this attack makes it best suited for attacking large groups of foes or those that are difficult to pin down. [cooldown, 1 post]
➳ Negation - Angemon waves an open hand at an incoming attack, generating a small barrier of golden light directly in its path. This construct can absorb a moderately powerful attack before disappearing, causing projectiles to vanish or reduce in size and physical blows to lose momentum. Though by no means an impenetrable barrier, it can be used to counteract weaker attacks or as a means to provide Angemon or his allies extra time to avoid taking damage.
[cooldown, 2 post]
➳ Divine Punishment - Generates a massive sphere of light floating just above his staff, burning with all the radiance of a miniaturized sun. He then slams this sphere into a foe by swinging his weapon like a mace, dealing a heavy blow while infusing all of his gathered power into the victim. While the target remains under the effect of this ability, any allies who successfully deal damage to the target siphon off a portion of its strength to provide themselves with minor healing.

Families: Dragon's Roar, Nature Spirits
Type: Beast Dragon
~ unbridled fury unleashed against insurmountable odds ~
Attribute: Data
Families: Dragon's Roar, Nature Spirits
Type: Beast Dragon
~ unbridled fury unleashed against insurmountable odds ~
Combat Abilities:
➳ Berserk Fury - The tainted power of Victory wielded by DoruGreymon bestows upon it a beasts temper, which emerges in full the more injuries he suffers in combat. In short, as DoruGreymon suffers more damage his offensive power and speed increase in proportion, though at the cost of becoming angrier and angrier to the point of being completely irrational. This culminates in a 50% increase to both stats when nearest defeat, though the blinding rage he suffers prevents him acting with any sort of reason.
➳ Fearsome Vitality - The power of Victory allows this fractured spirit to fight on despite his foes' attempts to subdue him. All ongoing effects targeting DoruGreymon, be they beneficial or detrimental, automatically have their duration reduced to 1 post, though doing so requires he violently channel his power in such a way that causes him moderate injury.
Combat Abilities:
➳ Metal Meteor - Fires off a massive projectile of molten metal wreathed in crimson flames, capable of entirely engulfing smaller digimon. This incarnation of DoruGreymon augments this blast with his power over Victory, causing the metal generated through this technique to stick to victims and continue burning a short while to inflict moderate damage as well as instill panic.FaceClaim: GUILTY CROWN • shu ouma • Setsuna Tasumaki
[duration, 1 post | cooldown, 3 posts]
➳ Infernal Barrage - DoruGreymon unleashes a slew of fireballs from his mouth in rapid succession, each roughly the size of the average baseball. While a relatively weak attack their speed combined with overwhelming numbers allows them to pose a real threat if left unchecked, or at the very least whittle down an opponent's defenses or limit their maneuverability.
➳ Storm Slicer - Extends the larger of his two pairs of wings and channels a potent electrical charge through them, generating an extended aura that stretches out twice the length of the wing itself. DoruGreymon then lunges forward to deliver a powerful slash with each wing, capable of tearing through modest defenses with ease and well as subjecting victims to an electrical shock that can leave them stunned for up to 1 post. [cooldown, 2 post]
➳ Dragon Spine - The dragon ignites his mane with crimson flames, which quickly spreads down his back and completely covers his tail. DoruGreymon then whirls about and delivers a powerful blow with his fiery limb, allowing him to keep his forward momentum while either attacking or attempting to slap aside an incoming attack. The heat generated from this flame is such that it can inflict modest burns on impact, igniting nearby combustibles without even making contact with them.
[cooldown, 1 post]
➳ Savage Culling ;- A roar imbued with all of DoruGreymon's fury, unleashing a cone-shaped wave of concussive force that can hurl back heavy objects and foes. This outcry also has a chance to strike terror into the hearts of those around him, reducing their mobility or leaving them outright paralyzed for the duration. The lower the target's level, the more likely they are to be frozen in place; likewise, those at DoruGreymon's level or higher are more likely to only be momentarily stunned or outright negate these effects. The fear effect loses effectiveness with each use, with most targets being able to near-ignore it by the third successive use in a single encounter. [duration, 1 post | cooldown, 3 posts]
