Well, if nothing else, Joey at least had the full attention of the audience, and better yet, didn't seem shy about yelling over a varied crowd of monsters. This was just about the only chance that he was going to get to talk to the village as a whole, and he needed to be loud, direct, and convincing.
And Joey handled it perfectly: not speaking down to the crowd, not discounting their fears, and clearly and calmly explaining the situation at hand, even after such a short amount of time. The break also gave the crowd to clearly look over both serpents, and it didn't seem like they had anything against the crowd at all. Even Isaac's words were given pause, and a murmur ran over the crowd.
"I guess we..."
"Yeah..."
Lo and behold, order was restored. The third option didn't get a lot of traction, save for a few Frigimon - those able to fly or walk away had mostly already done so, or didn't need direction at all. And for once, there was an orderly line of larger dinosaurs, wolves, and machines lining up, near the Orochimon and Ami. "I'll be... this kid's got a knack for it." Muttering to himself atop the Trailmon, the Musyamon sheathed his blade, patting the train. It departed, and the next in line slid up, filing smoother than some airport security lines.
"Huh... well, it's better than it was before?" Sounding like she was questioning herself a bit, Koneka gave a shrug, the Gatomon happy that there didn't seem to be any more fights to break up. Heck, even the portals were moving more smoothly than before, properly able to work in their intended capacity of three-to-four per portal!
"Heh... we'll be out of here, plenty of time to spare." Indeed, they had at least a couple of hours to work this through. And it wouldn't even be that much a trouble for Elliot to get the safe: even if he couldn't snag it with his tail, it wasn't as if it was overly heavy that a strong champion couldn't just lift it themselves. And there wasn't any signal from the Gotsumon or the BlueMeramon that anything else was going to go awry.
Things were looking like it was going to-
"What on earth?"
The Gotsumon's voice wasn't entirely audible, more a mumble at that point. He didn't feel any change from the earth, but instead, something caught the corner of his eye. He looked up, and, from the corner of his eye: "What the!"
BOOM.
A loud noise cracked through the area, the ground obviously shuddering a moment later. Anyone who caught a glance at the mountain above would have seen what happened: it defied logic, but from somewhere, a giant, conjured, rocky fireball had struck down, against the mountain's side. "The he-... foul play, really?"
"What happened?!" Ami called out, but once more, confusion ran through the crowd, the earth refusing to calm. Smoke billowed, and the sound of distant shifts and tumbling rocks made it clear that 'something' had hastened the fuse! Streams of fire billowed up, as a red, glowing streak moved down the side.
"Tch!" Of all the luck, bids here were off. It wouldn't be long before these tracks would be too hot to use! "Pull open all the portals you can! Everyone else, uphill! We leave this valley at once!"
"That's easy to say... ten minutes, maybe." And that was just for the lava: soot and the like were already growing closer!
"Of all our luck... ugh..." There wasn't much else to be done! Thankfully, the time to charge had just rolled over, and with both devices, Ami pulled open two more portals, taking a good bit of the remaining line. Though, she was being rushed again: "That's it! Everyone able to carry another, help get to higher ground! Tch..."
"Ami, just what are we going to do here?!" Running up Ami's shoulder, the bunny simply looked on. Ami took a breath, calmly answering: "Well. Joey needs this one back. Past that... well. No better time to try something, am I right?"
"You say that... but..." Valeria knew what Ami was talking about, but there was no guarantee even doing that would even guarantee a way to deal with this situation. And the way things were, there was no way this spooked crowd was going to fully clear out in time!
"... Isaac! At the very least, try and guide everyone away from this side of the village!" Breaking out of her private conversation, the girl looked over this quickly devolving crowd. "And if you can, get that other tamer over here."

Holy Shite "It worked!", The little red dino poked his head out over his tamer's shoulder, seeming unsurprised though, more proud than anything. The boy smiled, his confidence definitely boosted. Order was pretty much restored, and he stood up there and watched as people formed their lines and waited, an occasional mumble of discomfort but now that he thought of it that wasn't so bad. If people ar complaining about the line at least that means they're safe right? If they can complain about small things, it means the big things are at bay. He would then tap the mamothmon's head and ask to be let down politely, hopping onto the trunk and being placed back down in the snow. "Thanks again big fella! I owe ya one… if you ever see me again I'll take you out to lunch, my treat", he chuckled and patted the trunk before turning back to the town. He was gunna head back over to make sure all the lines were set up right, even though from above they seemed to be perfect, but he might as well make sure. Of course he didn't make a few steps though before. "Joey look up!", "Hmmm, oh.. What the f-"BOOM, impact! The large fireball had slammed into the mountain, the ground shaking as the digimon probably didn't react to well. "Everybody stay calm! We got this! Keeping orderly is the best way to get out of here safely!", he shouted, taking off in a sprint down the hill he was on. Something hadn't added up here since the start, what had Blitz smelled from so far away that he was able to confuse for what they were trying to find. Something evil, something powerful. A Volcano was powerful sure but it wasn't malicious… it just was. Someone was instigating it. He ran faster tugging Blitz out of his hood and holding the shivering little guy up. "I know it's cold buddy but you gotta grit your teeth! Give it to me too, I'm better at dealing with cold!", he nodded, tossing him ahead of him a bit. The small in training dragon did a single flip in the air and burst into bits of data, spiraling for a second before beginning to funnel together just as the human leaped in the air. Joey landed right on top of the now formed rookie, already running toward the mountain. What a cool move that was, like seriously, he hoped people saw, that speech working so well had kind of gone to his head honestly. He passed Ami and all them at a distance, shivering and gritting his own teeth as the cold seemed to bother his digimon a lot less for some reason now. No worries, it'll get warmer near the volcanoThere seemed to be a few flaws with this plan of action however, ones they probably wouldn't notice until later. One, there was no plan, they were just heading toward the mountain that now was much closer to blowing. Two, he forgot his digivice, though oddly it seemed his digimon didn't need it to get to rookie, showing some kind of experience or strength maybe. Or maybe just dumb luck and dumber foresight. ============================================= Blitz: Rookie

Thankfully, with a bit of fiddling Elliot was able to wrap his tail around the safe and drag it out of the building. He apologized as his tail slithered through, hefting the safe behind it, but with a bit more maneuvering he had successfully pulled it out of the building. He proudly slithered off and displayed it to Gatomon, only to jump suddenly as a great ball of fire struck the mountain. He twisted his head to and fro, trying to find the source of the attack, but it seemed to be conjured quite a distance away. He couldn't see it from this far, but he knew it was some unnatural source of power.
Noticing the other human and his Digimon heading to the mountain, Elliot snaked up after them. Even for a more experienced looking dweller of the Digital World, going alone would be dangerous. At least if Elliot came too there'd be another body between them and fiery doom.
Isaac would've come with, but with the other speaker running up to the volcano it seemed like corralling the rowdy Digimon was now his job. His eight heads helped him do a headcount fairly quickly, and once everybody was properly accounted for he turned himself toward the far end of the village. "Alright, everyone! Further we are from the lava, safer we are. I'm gonna need you all to just keep in a nice, calm group, so we can walk away from this thing without tripping all over each other. Less pushing and shoving means each and every one of us has a shot at getting through this. And if anyone tries to hurt you guys, I'll see to it that they're stopped.
Now come on! Follow me!"
With that, Isaac tried directing the flow of traffic up the hill. He could only hope that, with the crowd already placated, they would be more inclined to listen to him.

If there was any solace to be had here, it was that the crowd wasn't quite as problematic as before. It was impossible to say that it would be perfect - especially considering the situation - but whether out of fear of the situation, or of the Orochimon himself, the general crowd listened to Isaac's instructions: a careful, swift pace taken up the hill. And Isaac wasn't acting alone here:
"C'mon, ya heard him! Straight up!"
"Y... yeah..."
Towards the rear of the pack, the Musyamon kept a stern eye on the group, as he had done before. Before it was annoying; now, these little issues, or any delay at all, could prove quite deadly. Worse yet? No-one here had a good idea of what caused this at all. Who would do something like this? Was there even a motive at all? These were certainly questions, but one was far more important:
"If that 'mon's out here... I'll tear him a new one..."
Forget the safe, they just had to get out of here! Koneka took after Elliot's lead, and without a single word of permission, pulled herself up on the serpent's back, sitting on Elliot's shell. "Sorry about all that work for nothing." The Gatomon was equally cautious, looking around with sharp eyes. "Was the attack on a mountain for a purpose? Or was it to... ugh. Sandiramon, listen carefully. I've no idea what caused the attack, but there's about a 70% chance he'll attack the crowd directly after grouping us up like this. The other 30%, he'll take to the mountains for... I don't know why. Maybe 80-20, then... but be on your guard."
She sighed, keeping her eye on the sky, watching it fill with soot. "If they can attack from that range, though..."
As it stood, Joey wasn't the only one with the bright idea to get closer to the mountain. Although she had a much different intent, Ami was only some distance behind Joey. With a nod, Valeria took the device in hand, and soared forward, an arm to block out the smoke. Her flight made it easy to catch up, on Joey's left side: "Ya forgot something!" Flashing the Digivice, she would keep her pace, biting her lip at the setting ahead. Red streaks raced down the mountain, the quality of air degrading at an incredibly fast rate. Approaching further would be hazardous, in their current state.
Which Ami had no plan to. Just now catching up to Joey, she called out: "You got anything able to deal with this? We might have one, just going to take us a moment."
"Well, maybe. Haven't used it in practice yet, but we should at least be able to save the town..."
Oh, those were not words said in the best tone...

Well that was embarrassing "Oh… Uh I mean OH yea I uh, meant to do that… because uhhhh"… why did he even say that? He'd let that little speech inflate his head a bit too much it seemed, why the heck would he leave his digivice behind on purpose. "Because we don't need it!", Blitz growled beneath him, with a cheeky grin. Of course, with their mental link so strong at the moment the human assumed it was his own idea. "Yea we totally didn't need it! Yeaaaaaa but uh, we'll go with your Idea it sounds easier!", he nodded, marking his dialog off as 'salvaged' in his mind just to comfort himself. Wow that was bad. Of course Blitz giggled as if he'd planned that, though he may have, he was getting much more clever. "Oh, if it helps, he's kinda fireproof… that would probably be useful", Joey spoke up again after a moment of trying to recompose himself after that social fumble. "And I can become huge!", he the dino added as they continued to go on, running through the snow. If anyone was paying enough attention they may note Joey cringing slightly with every clawed step his partner took in the snow. He was better with the cold than the dragon creature but that didn't mean walking barefoot in the freezing cold didn't hurt! "Also there's a blackhole thing but I feel like your plan is more effective. ""So let's hear it!" They finished, speaking together with a confident nod. ============================================= Blitz: Rookie

Elliot nodded as Gatomon explained the odds, trying to wonder what sort of Digimon would even be capable of such destruction. Would he be able to properly fight it, or would he just be little more than a speed bump in its way? Regardless, he knew he had to stand tall where nobody else would, whether to protect those who couldn't fight or to support those who could. "I figured. That's why we're taking the fight to it before any of that can happen," he said, matter-of-factly, as he continued following after the other tamers in the group. Maybe alone he would be toast, but with the three of them they could at least bloody its nose and chase it off.
That left Isaac mostly alone to guard the villagers. In this case, while eight heads was far better than one, he wished that at least somebody had stayed behind to help instead of approaching the mountain. Nonetheless, he kept a diligent watch, each head taking control of a different cardinal direction to make sure nothing would ambush them. He refused to let his resolve break or his nerves show in front of an already timid crowd, even if it meant looking somewhat tense and intimidating as a result.
It didn't help that both portal creators had left, too. There really wasn't an easy way to get the Digimon evacuated if push came to shove and the assailant did descend upon the village. Sighing as he realized the numbers disadvantage, he turned to Musayamon. His question was brief and matter-of-fact, Isaac desperately trying to hold in his nerves.
"Where should we send the villagers if we get attacked?"
